Speaker 1 (00:00):
Lee, Good morning. How are you?
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good morning?
Speaker 3 (00:04):
How are you? I can send you a what Okay?
I just sent you a video to John Jay on
Instagram of some of the stuff there. So. I live
in Rapid City, South Dakota. I used to work in
the lobby of this hotel called the Alex Johnson. It's
a notorious, like haunted hotel, what have you. A couple
of years ago there was a huge ice storm. I
(00:26):
had to stay there in the midd like one night
because I couldn't even drive home, like it was like
negative thirty degrees. The whole city was ice and my
husband's like, you need to stay there, it's not safe.
And so I went to the lobby and I was like,
please do not put me on the eight floor. They're
like we got you, girl, like like you know, but
the whole hotel's haunted. And I was like okay. And
so I stayed there, and I mean I had all
the lights.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
On in the room.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
It's an older hotel, and I swear every time I
closed my eyes, somebody kept whispering in my ear like
go home, like get out. Like the entire night, like
I did not sleep a wink at all. And I
mean I literally sat up waiting for the sun to
come up, and I could just feel like somebody else
was in the room with me. I just saw the
video the whole time.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I just saw the video. I just said it to
everybody in the group chat.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
So no, well, I'm that video so that that is
in the gift shop of the hotel. That literally happened.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
In the morning.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
I was leaving and the gift shop owners like, oh,
I've never witnessed anything, blah blah blah. And then they
knew I spent the night there and I worked that day,
and they were like, oh my god, you have to
see this video footage. And they the first time they've
ever had action that they've witnessed on video footage.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
They're not screwed because it's no video.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
You can hear.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
You can hear the guy laughing in the thing, like
he was like shocked. He was laughing. He's like, oh
my gosh, he was like floored by it.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Let me describe the video. We'll put it on Instagram stories.
But it's it's security footage of like a store and
then you see like a Stanley cup just gets thrown
in the middle of the store, and what's so weird.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
About this video.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
It wasn't just pushed, it was thrown, and it doesn't.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
It stops like it doesn't keep right.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
You know, if you watch the movie Ghost with Patrick
as he's becoming a ghost, he tries to kick him
out and do can and he can't kick it. He
can't kick it, and he finally learns how to move it.
It barely moves, and that probably explains that video.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
And the crazy thing about the hotel is like even
to like I would, I don't work there anymore, but
even when you walk in, I mean, it's just eerie.
You walk into the hotel, you just get this weird presence.
And then and then I used to work there, and
when I would be there at late by myself at night,
my dad, he's a medicine man. He would tell me
when you leave, just come not to follow you home.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
And to your dad being a medicine man, that's a
doctor where I come from.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
No, he's a Native American medicale so he yeah, so
he's Native American and had medicine handed down from generation
to generation. And when I told him that, he's like,
you need to go in there when you're by yourself
burned some stage and just pray and just say, you know,
no bad spirits follow you home ever.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
And he's my witness.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Hey, is he still around your day?
Speaker 3 (02:54):
And I witnessed some stuff.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Is he still around?
Speaker 3 (02:56):
He's eighty two, still doing his thing?
Speaker 5 (02:59):
Like, ye, where does he live?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
He he actually lived in North Dakota on the reservation.
Oh wow, Yeah, so he still does things with the
tribe and everything of that nature. It's really really cool.
Respect Yeah so, but but I mean it is if
you guys look it up. It's called the Alex Johnson
is the haunted hotel in Rapid City. I will never
stay there again.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
It is weird, like like what Peg was saying is
how it just stops the middle of the floor. You
would think it would roll in one direction or another.
It's just like this station.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
And the people, the people that have worked there and
own that little store, they've never witnessed anything. They're like,
nothing has ever happened until you started working here. I
was like, oh my gosh. And then but yeah, no,
it's just super creepy. And then even at the front desk,
they have a book filled with people stories that have
left there in the middle of the night or eyewitness
accounts of hauntings that have happened to them staying the
(03:54):
night there.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Okay, Lee, hold on alone, Okay, hold on, that's a
great story. We will put the video up on you.
Can we use it video? Put on an answer cam.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Oh hundred percent, yeah, hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Okay, all right, thank you, thank you, Leehorn. Good morning, Cindy.
You're on the air John Jay and Rich KISSFM. What
is your haunted house ghost story?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
It was morning my favorite people. So I had moved
into an apartment that a friend lived in and she
moved out because she said there was a ghost, and
I'm like, how bad can it be? Right? So six
months in I'm sleeping with it was winter with a heavy,
heavy comforter on and I get like a slap on
(04:33):
my booty, like it felt like a ruler slapped to me.
Three times. It's stung. It like left a mark. And
so I jump out of bed, run to a friend's
house that lives like three doors down and I'm I said,
I got to spend the night here. I think I
have a ghost. And the next morning I went back
because I'm like, okay, you're being a little dramatic, you know,
(04:56):
I just playing it off because I'm thinking there's just
no way. And a few months later, it happens again
and I'm like, okay, I'm out of here. Like this
flap on my butt cheek is hard, it's like pop,
pop out.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Okay, you go over the comforter, right, so comfort is
pretty thick, right yeah?
Speaker 6 (05:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
So he's like, it went under the comforter. The comforter
didn't move, it was just on my butt cheek like.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Boom boom boom.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, And I'm like it just freaked me out. So
I'm like, all right, I'm moving. She moved for a reason.
I'm out of here too. So fast forward, I'm living
in another place and about three months in, you know,
my boyfriend and I are, you know, getting a little
cozy and we're laying there afterwards, just kind of facing
(05:46):
away from each other, and it happens again. And my
boyfriend at the times like he says in Spanish like
do you want more? And I'm like you heard that?
Because I'm thinking it's just in my head and I'm
feeling this thing. I'm like you heard that. He's like yeah,
and I'm like, what did you hear? He goes like
you were slapping your butt and I'm like, no, that
(06:08):
wasn't me. And so I jump up and I'm like, okay,
we we have to do some cleansing in the South.
So you know, every Mexican family has a bruja, you know,
rich in their family. So I'm calling. I'm like, what
do I what do I do?
Speaker 1 (06:21):
He goes, I don't know, it goes.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I feel like it's a dark spirit. I'm like, well, yeah,
it most definitely is. It's bothering me. And he's like,
you just have to cleanse your house and ask it
to leave and open up your windows and do all
this stuff and it it's gone. It has not followed
me since I seen.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Well, first of all, a couple of things. For one,
it sounds like you lived in the ghost of like
Christian Gray, Oh my god. And second of all, how
about your boyfriend. Your boyfriend's like you want more, like get.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
It mos, And I'm like what. He's like yes, and
I'm like, oh, I'm not crazy. I mean like yeah,
and it was I'm like, is there a weltwner?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
He's like yes.
Speaker 6 (07:11):
It's like wow, oh no.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
You got the toe pulling ghosts the feet be sage
and ghosts and now the booty slapping ghosts ghosts.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I'm like, oh, and it was always just the three
cat cat cat and it was like I knew it
had to have been a male because it hurt. It
was like, what is going on here? But yeah, that's
my ghost story.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Crazy, that's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
Have you guys seen that permal activity movie. It has
like it's like the parody of the paranormal Activity movie.
I can't remember the name of it to save my life,
but one of the ghosts that haunts their house like
totally like start hooking up with the wife, the total
parody of the movie. But I was like, that's kind
of funny, and that reminds me of that.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Denise, good morning, Good morning, you have a ghost story.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
Yes.
Speaker 8 (08:07):
So I was probably like seven eighth and we lived
in Phoenix. In my room, I don't know if it
was the whole house, but for sure in my room,
I would sometimes hear like flicker in the light even
though the lights turned off. I would hear like footprints
in the hallway. So I would tell my mom. My
mom was like, oh no, like you know, kind of
brushing it off. And I would sleep with my one
(08:29):
year old sister in my bed and case something came
to grab me, I could sew her and run to
my parents' room and ask for help. And I remember
one night and my toy box I just started hearing like.
Speaker 7 (08:44):
And I was like, what is that?
Speaker 8 (08:45):
And I woke up and I had an Ernie from
Sesame Street. I don't know if you guys remember this,
but like he had a PGS on with his little
rubber duck and he would start singing, Oh, I'm still sleepy.
I think I'm going to go to sleep, and then
you're start seeing Twinkle twink a little star and start snoring. Well,
this night it went off, but it started like it
(09:09):
literally sounded like a demon. It was like, I'm so sleepy,
I think I'm gonna take a nap.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
That's that's a battery dying.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
So that's what my mom said. That's exactly what my
mom said. So she was like, because I'm freaking out right,
I'm seven, I'm eight, Like, I am just terrified. My
parents get up.
Speaker 8 (09:34):
They're like, it's just a battery. Pull the batteries out,
there's no batteries inside it.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
If it's something else, if it was like Denise killed
your brother, Denise killed you, I'd be like, oh my god.
Speaker 8 (09:52):
Here's what it. Here's where it gets crazier. So like
my mom finally was like, maybe there's something in the house. Well,
she got up, because she's a Mexican mom, she got
up to make lunch for my dad at like three
in the morning, saw my dad sitting down on the
kitchen table, turned around, gone, well he was so asleep.
So she that day she was like, I saw someone.
(10:12):
It was your dad. I saw him sitting there. So
that's when she started believing we bless the house. Now,
fast forward twenty years later, my parents moved out of
that house and the washroom driver that they had was
brand new. So my mom's like, I'm not leaving them
my washingroom driver takes it with her, but the house
we move into has a washing dryer, so she ends
(10:33):
up put like putting it in the garage, forgets that
they're there because their garage is like clustered. My aunt
was like, hey, can I buy the washroom dryer from you?
She was like, yeah, sure, not a problem. Opens up
the washer, Ernie's in there.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Lead me away.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
Like she wanted to put it in the yard till
I said don't you curt someone else that you put
it in the trash. You put it in the trash,
you get rid of it. And she was like she
thought it was the funniest thing. I said, no, I
was like, that is not funny. That traumatized me my
whole life. How did it get in there? Because we
threw it away right afterwards, like it was gone and
(11:24):
it showed up in the washer. I was terrified.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
When she that's pretty good. I would say, right now,
that's a front runout. Would you like the park? You
want to go to party park to?
Speaker 8 (11:34):
Oh my god, yes, you want to know something funny?
What you guys were saying, Hey, party in the bus,
party in the park, and you're like scary stories. And
my daughter was in the car with me, and I
was like, like you listened to this with my daughter.
So I changed it.
Speaker 7 (11:50):
And I'm in the school line like.
Speaker 5 (11:55):
He's so tired.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
You got tickets to party the park, but you have
the bringing Ernie doll.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Oh my gosh, oh so creepy. Hold on, we're gonna
set you up. Okay, hold on, you know they say
like the conjuring. They talk about how spirits like to
attach themselves to things that look humanoid like dolls. That's
why those dolls are so creepy, because they'd like to
put their little their little demon souls in the like
human aid looking things.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
