Speaker 1 (00:00):
Love Pup Family Fest is this Saturday. This is kind
of a cool moment. You remember, Nick, our producer, adopted
a dog from us, and I think I said on
the air, I saw a very emotional side to Nick,
right because he was crying he adopted the dog and he
was his kids are embarrassed.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
This is a normal moment in my life.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
That's crying. He's having another full circle moment, emotional moment.
Am I right?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Nick?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
While Love put Family Fest?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Guys, life is funny, isn't it? You know it is?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I It was like, it was really weird when John
Jay told us that the Gym Class Heros are playing
Love Pup Family Fest, because it did feel completely full circle.
The first time I saw them was at a club
in Saint Louis that fit maybe one hundred people, and
they were opening for Fallout Boy in like two thousand

(00:50):
and five, and I got tickets through the radio station,
the college radio station I worked for at the time.
Fast forward ten years after or that, the Gym Class
Heroes are performing for a radio station that I worked
for in Springfield Andinois at what we called the Prairie
Capital Convention Center.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Sold out eight thousand people. That's a big that's a
big jump.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
And I was there too, you know, and it was
the first opportunity I had to meet them as well.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
And so it's you know, it's just so exciting for me.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
And then now ten years after that, here the gym
class heroes are playing Love Puff Family Fest. You know,
couldn't be more associated with the show that I currently
work on. And is it public knowledge yet that yours
truly is the MC for this event.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
That's that's a big time And so.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I don't know, it was like I started thinking about it.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
I started getting little emotion. I was like, what a
what a weird what a weird career path? You? This
is taken. Yeah, we're just together.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
You know what's weird is when you were going through
that in two thousand and five, I think it was
two thousand and six. I remember being here in this
studio and walking down the whole way back there before
they remodel it, remember, and they had the cubicles and
there was a guy sitting on the floor like I
don't know if he's on his phone or doing something,
and I had to step over his legs and like,
what's that guy's deal? And I like a new intern
and it was Traviy McCoy. He was just hanging out. Yeah,

(02:22):
you just hang out here. And at the time and
out of the you know, no one ever talks about
this but anymore. But he was dating Katy Perry. Yeah, yeah,
and he was just hanging out and I was like, like,
for like three days in a row.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Or a bunch of songs from Teenage Dream or about travyircles.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
About him, right, yeah, yeah, why just kind of feel
good if you Travy, I'm blown over here. He learned
something new every day on this show. Yeah, he was
the original Orlando Bloom.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
So Love Pop Family Fest is this Saturday. It starts
at four bus of What of Me? Ten Years? Got
one back? Oh my god, you look like a brown haired,
ed shearing.

Gossling doubles.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, yeah, it's not.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
It's definitely not like a professional photo. It was taking
with my you know, Motoro eraser I have it, which
you still have.

when they're here. Uh So, anyway, it's it's this Saturday,

for kids. I mean, like, I don't want to call
it a jumping castle. It's a huge, bouncy it's like
a pillow. Yeah, massive, but it's like an acre big. Yeah,

(03:39):
it's huge. And there's also a corn maze. And then
there's beautiful lights everywhere, and there's.

my dad telling me one time. He was like, can
you just be quiet? Like, can you just be calm?
He'd be telling me be calm, and he goes, you know,
there's a song because your generation needs to be calm.

(06:26):
There's a song that's on the top one hundred song chart.
It's number one song. He said it was number one
