Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a text message here.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
If you text us, you text JJR and then tell
us whatever you want to nine six eight nine three
And this text says not me in bed, sick binge
watching Secret Wives of Mormon Wives. Yeah, and getting really
excited when I see a true star Kyle unfunny.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
That's so funny because I actually, like, I hosted a
celebrity pickleball tournament where Macy from the show was actually
like doing the TV hosting part.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
I did the in game hosting part.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
And Macy and one of the bat one of the
in synct boys, Joey is not important, Macy from Real House,
Real Lives and Mormon Wives whatever it's.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Called, I was there. Anyways.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I totally forgot that I was a part of that.
And when I started binging Secret Lives and Mormon Wives,
I was like, when.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
That episode came up, I'm like, oh my god, that
was me.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
But I am like obsessed with it, Like I can't
wait for the next season to come out.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
That's fascinating.
Speaker 5 (00:58):
It's such great garbage TV, isn't it. And it's just
like it's just like power eating French fries.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yeah, and like all of them are all over social media,
like on Instagram and TikTok, and they like, I'm following
every single one of them now and I don't think
I've ever really done that besides back in the day
with Real Housewives.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Really so I feel like it's pretty epy.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
Do you like Whitney the one that was on Dancing
with the Stars.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
I did not like her first and second season, but
third season I started to really like her.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
As she grew on you. Yeah, I hate the show.
Does that? They like create the villains and you're like,
maybe I liked them.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Who's the swinger one that did that?
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Taylor Franky Polch. She's the Bachelorette right now filming the Bachelorette.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
She's the most famous one, probably her.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Or Macy, I think whoever put.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
The show together? Yeah, but anyway, what else are you watching?
Speaker 6 (01:47):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
So I started a few shows. I started watching the
one you told us to watch, Ripple, and I'm on
episode three.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
It's so slow. It's very slow.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
So I can only like stomach one episode at a
time right now. So this morning I watched one episode
of Ripple.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
And it's it's you get to like the characters and whatnot,
but I'm giving it a chance because of you.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
But I think if you had it recommended it, I
would stop watching it. Right, But you say episode seven
is one of the forward two, so I'm giving episode.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Seven is a tear jerker? Is episode seven?
Speaker 4 (02:22):
But I think that's what you would be connected to.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Right. Do you see the ripples so you catch it?
Are you paying attention to see the ripples?
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:29):
I really like Simon Cowell the next act. I finished
Owning Manhattan, so I started those three shows Owning Manhattan.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
I was like when it ended, I was like, that's it.
I need more. I need more of it.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
It's a good show.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
It's a great show. I love that show.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Simon Cowell Show episode. I think the first beginning episodes
are really good. And I have hope and you really
like Simon Cowell. But I saw the last episode and
I don't agree with who he picked in the band,
and I don't think it's gonna make it.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
I'm not there yet. I'm not there to do who
he's picked.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
You to me, it's not it's he lost it. It's
not it's not like what where did he go wrong?
Do you feel like just pick it?
Speaker 2 (03:09):
I don't think the guy's got that thing when they
walk into a room, you don't go we see Harry's audition,
You're like, that guy's got something.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
I felt the same way.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
I saw the clip when they like announced who they were,
and I was like, yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I kind of feel like it's really smart though, because
they're doing a Netflix show. If they do end up
becoming a boy band, we don't know if they do.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
It's not like there's a song out already.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
But if they do end up becoming a band, it's
like you really get to watch the actual journey, which
is really fun and will, I think connect people more
to the band.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
So I think it's genius that they did that.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
I saw this thing.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
It was the top three streaming shows right now in
the world, and number one is Purbous. You in this show,
I know, I know, and number two is Landman, of course,
and number three is Abandons, The Abandons.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
The Abandons. I finished. I thought it was pretty good.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'm on.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
I started watching it and I have such a problem
because the evil people are the van Ass family.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
That's my last name. Trouble kills me when I see
the Vanes do bad.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Stuff and everybody in the town talks like that, Okay,
here comes one of them Vans boys screwed up the town.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
It's terrible and I hate that.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Gillian Anderson is my mom.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Gillian Anderson. I didn't recognize her at first because I
just saw her in that Tron movie where she's hello,
and then here she's like, we're about to take over
this town, about to go deep. So she totally looked
different to me, seemed totally different.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
She does a lot of that.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
There's a new movie coming out, in fact, it's getting
some press right now.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
It's Steven Spielberg's movie. Have you seen it yet? I
heard of it?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (04:37):
It's Spielberg's new movie called Disclosure.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
It comes out in the summer time, so it supposed
to be one those summer blockbuster movies. Spielberg invented the
summer blockbuster nineteen seventy six with Jaws. That was the
first summer blockbuster, and because of that, now blockbusters come
out in the summertime. It's a huge thing. And usually
when it's a UFO thing, it's like big, right. So
his in the cast is Emily Blunt And did you right?
Did you see the trailer?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I did? I was watching this morning. Bono's daughter isn't
there too? Oh? Is that who that is? I didn't
recognize her.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
But the thing that's interesting about this trail, this new
movie coming out is I guess and I don't. They
don't really tell you what it is, but has to
do with aliens. And Emily Blunt is a new a
weather person and she's given the weather and then something
happens and I don't know if she's an alien or
they're letting us know that aliens are here already, which
I think Spielberg's been a big fan of. But so
listen to this.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Morning in Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Let's take others today, Let's today is today's.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Speak speak.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
So she's doing the weather and she's starting she starts like.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
She's converting into an alien something like that, What are
you gonna do?
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Full disclosure to the whole world?
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Lie?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
So I watch it right and I'm like, Okay, I
can't tell it's good. Plus I also don't like when
they use the name of the movie in the movie
trailer full disclosure.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Oh, like you've never seen moving in But this is crazy.
This is a Star Wars.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
Thought they call that the tituary.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
It bothers me when they do that.
Speaker 6 (06:22):
So anyway, all I can think about is this.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
What's the deal with all these alien.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
That's all I think about when I saw that trailer.
I don't know if that's going to be a big
Spielberg movie or not.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
I can't tell either.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
I watched it a lot of flops. I mean, I
don't think Spielberg does a.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Lot of flops, and he does the alien stuff good.
Et is good, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind
was amazing too.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
That's funny. Has he done a lot of flops? That's interesting?
I don't know. I mean the Fableman's was. I thought
it was a really good movie. I don't know if
that was a box office smash.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
The last big one I think he's done was maybe
Ready Player one, which was pretty good. That's a pretty
good and well.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
He's due for a flop then it just I can't
tell if this is a smash or not. But it
just to me, it's just kind of like plus coming
off the heels of Purbius. Really, when you watch Purbius
has got this vibe. This this movie has a purbious.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Right, So are you still watching that show?
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yeah? Well it comes out once a week.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Oh, Okay, what episode is it on?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Seven?
Speaker 4 (07:28):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (07:29):
And episode seven is the slowest episode in the history
of television, so it's really really slow. It is the
most successful show in the history of Apple TV, is.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
What they're saying.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Don't buy it?
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Who puts out that information?
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Then I don't probably Apple. They want people to watch it.
They're trying to gain a hype.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
Know ted Lasso. People talk about tied Lasso all the time.
You don't see anybody dressing up like purbos for fun.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
But isn't it like I thought it was, didn't Solibus?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
