So to that point, we spent some time.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Together in Miami and it was fun. It was actually fun.
You're as quiet as I thought, and you weren't like awkward.
It was cool.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Thanks, Wow, thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
You get this idea right, because you're you're very quiet
and you're very like to the point that Corey Saint
Haagen is not. But you're like, we had a good time.
Remember we made a video in the bag say if
people come watch our live stream, and it was so
you watch our live stream, and I think in that
in that view, I went to the comments that I saw,
like just recently, like yesterday, to kind of see what

(02:31):
I could tell you in regards to and people were.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Like surprised and pleasantly surprised that like your.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Personality kind of getting to know you, because you've been
a bit shut off in that regard.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
Yea, So part of that is I like being mysterious.
I like just keeping my opinions to myself and stuff.
But he said, too, man, is that I just kind
of get bored doing this, you know, not like this
in particular, but just kind of like having conversations like
with the media.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, but I not the media.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
I know, I know, I like. I like it to
the point.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
If the media clip into the bottom of want you're
like a little bit of the media. Come on, coo, please,
coryn't go that one. So when Danvia goes fuck.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
The media, he's to me, oh my god, what happens?
So are you the media because you were on my
channel as one of the hosts.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
No, I don't talk about drama.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I do talk about druma. It's the best term.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
You know why.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
I learned that.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
So I grew up in Louisiana and like old women,
they weren't like mumus. You know what the most, it's
like a shirt dress kind of thing, but like big
women like fat women, and they go all the way
down and they kind of like sit on their corch
and like if they're watching two people start arguing, they
go in the house and they call somebody, Hey did
so I saw that my whole life.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
So I kind of like, kid, I grew up loving it.
You love drama. I like drama.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
I don't think that it's It's not where my heart
has to be in this sport. But it is fun.
I get it.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
I watched it, Like one of my favorite things to
do is watch trash television dating shows. And I've watched it.
I promise you if you name it.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
I've watched it.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Really.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Oh yeah, dude, it's me. It's me and my wife's
It's like how trash dating and television shows at best.
So I did like drama. It just doesn't have a
place for me in fight.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah, because I don't see you in much like beef
and fight? How do you avoid the beef and fighting
when you're fighting at that level. See, if you're just average,
you can avoid beef, right, But the better you get,
the more it.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Means and when meaning, when stuff starts to mean a lot,
people start to get a little bit agitated. You get annoyed. Right,
I didn't really have a problem with John Jones.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Then when we started getting to the title, it meant
so much in mid fame and meant money in mid championships,
so it becomes drama.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
How have you avoided the drama? Well, no, you're fighting
as meaningful fights.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
It's boring to me.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
It's very disinteresting to me to go back and forth
and try to convince people that I'm better than them
and that they're better.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Than me with words.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
I think that one of the best parts of sports,
just in general and black people like him, is because
you actually get an arena to prove yourself.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
You don't get to do that another arena, so you know, you.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
Can kind of like if you're trying out for a job,
you can have your interview and that's your arena, But
what does that really say about how well you're.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Gonna actually do the job. In sports, you get that arena.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
And that's why I'm grateful to have something like that
because I feel like I don't I don't need to
do all that because we're gonna.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Literally fight on Saturday and find out.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
So this leads me to this question.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
So you don't do that what some people do last week, bro,
if you like try to shoot, you definitely tapped into this.
You watch this, so Manel caught head buss Mohammed will
kind of add the UFCPI, Oh really he beats him.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
He said, I beat him very bad. Now what he
told me? He goes, I beat him very bad. You see,
it's crazy out being very very bad craty.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
He beat him at the PIA because they are. They
fight last week and and nothing happened. How annoying is
it all that sometimes we get that where it's all
the talk that's a good danger. It makes it even stupider.
And there's also exactly it makes it even stupider. And
I'll say, and I'm not saying I don't like like

(06:18):
trash talking.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
And do you like everybody?

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Yeah, I don't have the opinions about anything.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Anybody in the division. There's nobody that you have a
strong opinion up one way to the other. Not really,
that's awesome.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
I think that they're just they're just trying to do
their thing the same way that I'm doing this.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
I think that if if you got rewarded in the
same way of bringing flowers to.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
Your opponents, we went, we would be giving flowers. Give
him flowers to Yeah, it's not just like a validation.
We're all just like Pablonian dogs.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
You know.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
But Saturday, you're not looking to get flowers.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
No, I'm uh Now, I plan on beating them. It's
gonna be awesome. It's gonna be the best performance in
my life. And it's gonna be because Lumar brought that
out of me, you know, like he's I see him
as one of the best guys in the division, and
preparing for a guy like that, his unique striking, his unique.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Grabbling, like it's brought out the best me in my camp.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
I've had to work so hard on this camp man,
like flying people in, traveling, like busting my ass, trying
to learn everything. And I'm super pumped that he brought
that out of me, and I know it's gonna translate
it into the performance.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
You know, you and I were talking before in a
fighter meeting and you said to me, he said, you
have some you have opinions of me, right, So it's
like it almost like we're talking about you it almost
comes off as advice. I can't advise you. You're still fighting.
I'm not, but I made a statement.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I said, nobody wants to fight this guy called Cory Sane.
He'll do it. There's a there's a risky fight called
Cory Sanny. He'll do it. Oh, Marlon Chito Vera is
on the Custom Fight for Championship. Can't really find him
a fight called Cory Sanny, He'll do it.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I didn't know why you had that approach until we
talked in Miami and I asked you what you feel
when you're getting ready to fight, and what did you
tell Do you remember what you told me?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
You said, I don't nothing. Yeah, there's no feelings, no feeling.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
There's feelings, there's thoughts, there's impulses, but those are just
like the brain trying to just send you stuff, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
You could choose to listen to it or not.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
And that's another part of this sport that I really love, man,
Because I talk about this like martial arts is.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Near and dear to my heart.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
Man, It's like it's been my best friend for a
lot of years now, and it's taught me a lot.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Every single camp every single fight.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
I remember, you know, not the actual fight, but I
remember how it makes me feel. I remember what it
feels like to live a life where only one thing
is important, and that's whening on.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Saturday, and it makes life easier.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
It's like, you know, for like lack of a better word,
and to use a cliche, it feels like an awakening of.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Like my spirit a little bit. And I love it, man,
That's why I love this sport. It's it's in my heart.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
How did you find comfort in that arena? Because it's chaotic.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Most can't operate in such a chaotic world, but it
seems as though that's where you are like most comfortable,
Like you want to be like get in the fire right,
Like the people always talk about that cool.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Demand in the arena, right, Not everybody's.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Willing to take those chances and put themselves on display
like we do as fighters. How did you find so
much comfort in it to be able to say that
it's been your best friad for years?

Speaker 6 (09:24):
I uh, man, I have a very like fucking attitude
kind of you know, like I don't care about things.
It kind of makes me uninteresting to talk to this,
but it's you know, It's why I keep quiet because
I'm like.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
It's not interesting.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
I have opinions, I have this, I have that.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
You know, of course I have all of those things.
But man, like, it's just not like I don't care
about things. I care about getting better every day, and
I care about winning fights.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
I care about my dream, and I care about my wife.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
Those are the four things I care about, and everything
else is quite boring to me. And like that fucked
everything and fuck it, Like mentality and everything is part
of what keeps me out of the drama and maybe
keeps me out of the limelight a little bit. But dude,
it's a double edged sword because on the other end,
I get to go out and have some of the
best performances that you know, like be one of the

(10:15):
best competitors that the UFC has and show up every
time over and over and over again.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Because of that other piece. So I just care about
how well I do. That's it.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I'm a crafts Yeah. Do you think, though, do you
think that.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
You need the other side to ultimately get everything that
you want because you can be the champion, but becoming
a champion there it becomes there's other things that come
with you right, there's financial there's popularity. I know you
don't care much fun the popularity, but the popularity, please
more dollars, right, I do.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Now, I'll openly admit I do.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
I'm willing to wear the meat suit, walk around and
full other parts, you know, like I'm cool with pretending
that things are important to me to like navigate my
way throughout this because people don't see the world the
same way that I see the world, which is just
in an alley in my zone, focused on being the
world champ.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
That's the that's I stay in my alley.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
And everyone else is in this busy street, and they're
not gonna see the world the same way.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
But I'll hop out to the street and say hi
and do all my.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
Thing and then go back to being focused and doing
all that as long as I'll get carried away and become,
you know, like a weirdo with it.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
I care about those things too.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
I'm not gonna act like I'm some righteous being that
doesn't care about any of that stuff. I of course
care about that, and I know that it's a part
of it. So I've bought my game a little bit,
and I've been doing all that stuff, you know, so so, yeah,
that's just.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
How I am.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Now you beat the warnamerger ben off this weekend, you
will get a championship opportunity. You've been on this You've
been in this spot before once right with al Jamaine Sterling,
and it did not go the way that you intended it.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
But then I see running all walks in here. You
guys are working together, and.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I imagine that's because of the grappling threat that you
may see this weekend.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
And I know it's in a while, but what can.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
You take from the first number one continuous fight that
you had it applied to this one?

Speaker 6 (12:07):
Yeah, I mean I've had three now I suppose auch
Ma and TJ and now this one.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Oh yeah, well you beat TJ though, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
That's true third times time.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
But yeah, you know what in this year that I
had off, I got to go to a lot of shows.

Speaker 6 (12:21):
I got to be around people like you and kind
of see things that are you know, the inner workings
of the UFC and understand it more less from like
my just zoned in an alley view and see it
as a spectator sport. And and that's really helpful for
me too, because I kind of got to understand what
it is and how I only have probably five or
six more years left in me and I'm halfway through
my career and I really want.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
To juice the same dry man.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
And that's where my mind has been the entire year off.
I've been watching upset people inspire me amazing fight after
amazing fight, and I've just been sitting on the sidelines
watching and I'm super pumped for this fight because, like
I said, I've just that reflection time to be like, hey,
I'm like.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Let's do this thing.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
He did good on the way and show when you
talk like that, he did good man, you're good. That
was another part of the personality that I was even
good you win. Char O Mallley is the champion. I
just asked Umar his feelings about Sean o'manalley, and if
you know anything about the Dallas Countys, they do not
hold back. He said he's a clown, right, he said,
he's He's a big shame that Sean O'Malley is the

(13:27):
champion in a wig class that he fights in.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
What do you think of Sean O'Malley the champion?

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Shann o'manley is the fighter And and again Sean O'Malley
does not live.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
In at lane.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Sean O'Malley lives on that busy street. But it's ultimately
what's making him a start? What do you make shan olmalley?
The personality, Yeah, the personality is Sean mcmalley.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
I'm not a fan of you know, like where he.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
Him has a fighter, great does good, improves every fight.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
God or respect that him has a personality is so
weird seeing like the stuff on my Instagram at BSPM
posting or UFC posting and you got the champ with.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Like a bunch of curly colored hair and it looks funny,
you know.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
But uh him as a fighter, Umar said he does
ticktik dances. He goes.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
He said a man should not be doing dances that
are hot I've never seen.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
But that's that's like, I mean, that's what he says.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
But again, a lot of that stuff resonates to the
younger crowd, and I guess that's why the tap in.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
But as a fighter, you respect him. The personality is
just a little off.

Speaker 6 (14:30):
The personality is I liked personalities like GSP, like I
didn't like the Flash guys.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
I like DSP. I like jose Aldo coming up. I
wasn't into the quirky looking people.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
You know, I liked I liked guys that went out
and fought their asses off and won over and over
and over again and were the greats. I like the
Michael Jordan's and the Kobe Bryants and Alan Iverson's. I
like the people that competed, did well, stayed in their
lane and did and went down.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
As one of the best. So those were the guys
that I looked out, not that rods and uh people
left out of their.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Hair, Save better world, peace, Ronald Dett what do he
take his name to?

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Piece? Like, what the hell? And that's crazy, But there
is a world where.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
A guy like Corey saying you can become champion had
become a start. Your skill set is is next level?
What you're like when you look to Saturday night, right,
what is your expectation and can you put yourself in
that moment of beating an undefeated guy that.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
So many don't want to compete against. But again call
for Hanagan.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
He'll do it if you allowed yourself to think to
Saturday night and what it.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Would feel like I get a victory in the fight.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Yeah, I mean I've seen him a ton of times
in my head.

Speaker 6 (15:43):
I I'm gonna go turn to tone with Umar and everything, uh, grappling, striking,
I'm gonna prove that better at every single area of
this fight.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
I'm gonna prove that I'm better than him. And on Saturday,
I plan on shaking Kadid's hand.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
I plan on shaking Umar's hand and apologizing and saying
I'm sorry that I had to beat you, you know, like,
go in a couple more fights and we can fight
for the belt. That's how I see it in my head.
That's how I've been seeing in my head for the
last twelve weeks. I stay consistent with my work. But
that's part of this, you know. And since we're all
kind of witches and warlocks now and can manifest thoughts,
is what we all think, you know, That's what.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
I've been spending a lot of time doing.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
So it's not gonna surprise me when I surprise a
lot of people by doing what.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
I do on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
That's the surprising people excite you.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Oh yeah, hell yeah, that's one of the best parts
of the sport. Oh.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
I spent an entire year going to a bunch of
shows and being like holy shit, that guy.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Bet that guy. That guy did this. That guy.

Speaker 6 (16:35):
That's that's the best part of the sport. So I
get to give that to people.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Now, your mom runs your your sport. Come on, pluck
your stuff man.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
