Here we go. It is a Wednesday, live in Los Angeles.
It's the Herd. Wherever you may be and however you

we are packed today, Joel Klatt. Top of Next Hour
is always Andy Reid. Back to back Super Bowl champions.
Andy read the head coach of the Chief stops by.
Oh but we have a big story. It's beyond percolating.
(00:51):
I was on the phone last night and this morning
we get all sorts info coming. Devonsa Adams don't say
this does not have a great relationship Day one with
Antonio Piers. Not a great relationship Antonio Piers And this
probably was a really bad move. Liked a Devonte Adams
(01:12):
tweet and that's not what you should do. Because that
hurts the Raiders and negotiations. Now everybody knows Antonio Piers
is not fond of Davante Adams, which was known in
the building. Now it's known outside the building. So that's
not a good move by the Raiders. But according to
Diana Russini, the Jets and the Cowboys, your Jets and
(01:32):
Fox's Cowboys, Jerry Jones Cowboys are talking. So let's start
with the premise of this. The Raiders have leverage their
coach and their GM or brand new Mark Davis. There's
no urgency. I was told to win today. That helps
them Again, Antonio Pierce messing around on social media not smart,
(01:57):
stay out of that stuff. Let's everybody in the league new.
What the Raiders privately knew is DeVante Adams and Antonio Pierce,
regardless of if they denied or not, they're not tight.
So let's start with the Jets impulsive owner. That's something
team needs a boost. Offensively, they scored nine points against
(02:18):
Denver at home. And don't overlook this. The Mets are
in the playoffs, the Yankees are in the playoffs. The
Knicks just made a huge trade. The Jets have always
been a low self esteem sports franchise. They love relevance.
Consider this, Aaron's forty. The rest of this year and
(02:39):
next year, that's the window. Consider this, they're facing ex
Jet Sam Darnold in a standalone game. Everybody's watching. Consider this.
Wood He Johnson, the owner, former embassad to the UK
(03:01):
appointed by Trump. All his friends will be in the
box with Woody Johnson. Billionaires do not like to be embarrassed,
and Minnesota has been embarrassing a lot of teams this year. Also,
Aaron and DeVante are tight. The GM and the coach
have to win now. And if you look at the schedule,
(03:21):
there is a lot of good defenses coming up Minnesota, Buffalo, Pittsburgh,
New England, Houston. Aaron Rodgers doesn't want to be scoring
nine points. You got some defenses coming up. Some of
those teams can score, but a lot of good defenses
coming up for a team that has challenged offensively, or
if you roll over coverage to Garrett Wilson, you kind
(03:42):
of eliminate the offense. Let's go to the Cowboys, because
Diana Russini says, it's the Jets and the Cowboys. So
the general manager of the Cowboys is the owner. So
he's not under pressure. Jerry Jones actually is not impulsive.
We've said this countless times. He's kind of the opposite.
(04:04):
He was very very impatient on Jason Garrett. He's been
very very patient with Mike McCarthy, who most fans wanted
out of the building. Jerry's not impulsive. Sometimes he's the opposite. Also,
the Dallas Cowboys aren't seeking headlines in Dallas. They're the
only story. It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter what's happening
in Dallas. There's not another NFL team, it's the Cowboys.
(04:29):
And they also have a star receiver in Cede Lamb. Yes,
DeVante would help Dak be better. Nobody would. Nobody would
argue that. But Dallas needs two other things, namely a
run game. They're thirty second in the league in running
the football, so this would make them more pass centric,
more down the field reliant. They can't run the football
(04:50):
at all, and that's how you keep the ball away
from a Kyle Shanahan offense, or a Green Bay offense,
or a you know, presume in Atlanta or a Baker
Mayfield offense. A run game. So that's their key. They
don't have an impulsive owner, the GM's not in the
hot seat. They're not fighting for attention like the Jets are.
(05:12):
So all roads to me point to the New York Jets.
And here's the air thing. I would admit yesterday I
got all excited. Jerry said that Gulf Stream to Vegas,
and I was thinking about this last night. So let's
say they land Devonte Adams with Cede Lamb. You know
what you are the Miami Dolphins, a really expensive wide
(05:35):
receiver room with issues everywhere else? Do you want to
ever be the Miami Dolphins? The speed boat of the NFL.
A lot of flash and not really functional, so to me,
at the very least for the Jets. And do not
overlook this. It's good pr if the Mets and the
(05:57):
Yankees start reeling off. W'sy had their media day yesterday.
The Knicks look like a potential championship team. Giants don't
appear to be terrible. You get blown out by Minnesota,
you could be the last story by Tuesday of that
week for the next month. And the Jets have always
sought relevance as a franchise. This is an owner who
(06:20):
spent time in London. The team is going to London.
Here is Sam Darnold, who's on fire. Billionaires do not
like to be embarrassed. To me, the Jets feel like
they're very much in play and the Raiders again have
not had leverage much in the last twenty years. But
Tom tells go the GM and Antonio Pierce, the coach,
(06:40):
have been assured and I believe this. This is part
of a building process. They've been running through coaches, they've
been running through gms. They want to plan a flag
here with these guys for the next several years. So
speak of Miami. Tua is now symptom free, but because
(07:03):
they put him on the IR he will not be
available until week eight. That's how it works. But he's
symptom free. And I was thinking about Miami and how
popular they got over the last several years, and I
think a lot of it, to be honest with you,
was the head coach, Mike McDaniel. He looks like a
(07:24):
sports reporter. He's analytic and smart and funny at the podium.
He's built for the media to love.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
He got a.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Lot emotions and a lot of crazy looks. He's very clever,
not your typical football coach. He's smart, a lot of
bells and whistles outside the box thinker, So you know
the media is going to fall in love with him.
But you know what, Kyle Shanahan and Andy Reid use
a lot of motion, and they use a lot of sets,
(07:53):
and they're clever, but their teams are physical and tough.
And when I look at Miami, let's be honest, a
lot of flavor, but I'm never full. That's what it
feels like to me. A lot of sizzle, not a
lot of steak. Headlines flash wow, look at that? And
(08:17):
what are they? Two really fast wide receivers? And this
is when you know an operation cares about the wrong stuff.
So if Tua is your quarterback and I like Tua,
I wouldn't give them a huge deal with a concussion issue.
Said that before the season started, I wouldn't have done it.
But if you have Tua, okay, you've made the decision.
(08:39):
There's two things. You got to have a really good
backup quarterback and a really strong offensive line. Maybe not
Lions strong, but at least you know, like Indianapolis or
Atlanta strong. And yet the Dolphins are below average at
both backup quarterback an offensive line. But they have the
(09:01):
most expensive wide receiver room in the league and a
coach that's super smart at the podium. And I'm not
denying Mike McDaniel is a really bright guy. But Andy
Reid and Kyle Shanahan and mcveighar two and they love
to run the football. And when I think of the
Rams Super Bowl team and Aaron Donald in the run game,
(09:22):
it was physical. And Andy's teams and Spags, they're physical
in San Francisco, Debo and McCaffrey and Mason and Kittle,
it's physicality. A lot of this Miami thing, to me
feels like a house of cards, is that it's all
sizzle and all receivers and a lot of flavor. And
I'm never ever full. So it's just when Atlanta got
(09:44):
crushed for having two quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Michael Pennocks,
how good would Miami be right now if they drafted
Michael Pennix And some people got on Minnesota, Well, why
are you bring in Donald? You have JJ McCarthy was
so going college playing. You know who's winning these days, Minnesota,
and you know who's not Miami. So this league, and
(10:06):
I understand it in other sports. In baseball, you buy
your trophies. You know, there's there's just a huge gap
between the haves and have nots financially in baseball. In
the NBA, I understand, it's esthetics, it's culture, it's style.
I like it, But the NFL comes down to good coach,
good quarterback, physicality. For the Dolphins to sign to it,
(10:29):
to that deal and still have a shaky O line
and be well below average at backup quarterback tells you
they care about the wrong things we wish to a luck,
he's symptom free. He'll be back week eight, and they'll
be unwatchable in Miami until then. All Right, Jay MC,
I know you are all fired up on this Devonte
(10:52):
Adams rumor, and as a classic Jet fan, I know
you want this to happen.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
So let me let me quickly pivot to news the
broke regarding the Cowboys. Brandon Cooks has an infection in
his knee. He's out at least this week, could be longer.
He at a procedure after the Giants game. So now
it's Ceedee Lamb and a bunch of other dudes. And
I'm sure Jerry Jones is probably on the phone today
at least considering Devonte Adams.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Right, okay, well, I'm going to address that. It's interesting
that story comes out right about the time they're on
the phone with Davonte Adams. So I just talked about Miami.
Are you paying attention to the right things? Not headlines,
not flash but you signed to a bad backup quarterback
(11:37):
situation week o line, you care about the wrong stuff.
So we'll address that with the Cowboys specifically coming up next.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays
and neonon eastern non am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
FS one and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
All right, big story, Davonte Adams. Raiders are shoppingham Jets
and the Cowboys are out front. According to resport Ports,
Todd Archer just reported the Cowboys will be without Brandon
Cooks against the Steelers, maybe longer infection developed in his
right knee. So, and what the Raiders want is like
a second round pick and a player, or a third
(12:14):
round pick and a fifth round Pick's kind of where
they're at. Devonte's expensive and there's those that believe he's
a little bit past his prime. What ebbs The Cowboys
have to take a long term approach to this not
Look at the Steeler game with Brandon Cooks. Three things
to think about. Number one, Washington and Jaden Daniels. He
looks like you got a Lamar Jackson in division now
(12:35):
and they're not paying him for four or five years.
So the new owner, the GM, the coach, the coordinator,
and Jayden Daniels watch out. Dak went twenty four and
four against the Giants in Washington twenty four and four.
Those days are over. It looks like Washington could be
the new Baltimore right the right coordinator, a twitchy, accurate
(12:59):
core back. So number one, you better think big picture.
The gravy trains over twenty four and four is not happening.
I even like the Giants this year. I just think
they're missing one piece. I like the Giants previous years,
last four or five, they've been a mess. I don't
think they are okay. Second thing, you just paid Dack
Ceedee Lamb and you're paying Micah soon. You want to
(13:22):
become the Miami Dolphins. I mean you'll be absurdly top heavy.
You have a million holes. That's not what you want
to do. Number three, look at the whole NFC. These
teams are potent offensively Detroit, San Francisco, Green Bay, Minnesota, Seattle.
I just watched thirty eight first downs by Geno Smith.
Their star receivers DK Metcalf, they're running backs. Those are
(13:44):
potent offenses. Dallas's defense thinks, I look this morning, they're
twenty six and points allowed, twenty fifth in yards allowed
per play. Dallas needs a defensive stopper. Go look right
now at the NFC, it is power full offenses, and Dallas,
even with Devonte Adams and Cedee Lamb, are not gonna
win shootouts. They may not get the ball in the
(14:07):
second half because they can't stop the run. They're atrocious
thirty second also in rushing, so they're not going to
be a ball control team. They can keep the ball
away from a Darnald, a Jordan Love or a Kyle
Shanahan and brought Purty. They can't run the football and
they can't stop the run. So to me, at the
trading deadline, go get it back. We strongly advise you
(14:29):
to get Derek Henry last year at the trade deadline
or in the offseason, and you didn't, and he was
only eight million. So I think Devonte Adams for Dallas
I think he's a fun toy and they'd be better offensively.
We know Dak's always been good the more weapons he has,
but that start looking at the NFC, start looking at
your division. You need a run game to keep that
(14:49):
ball away, time of possession, dominance, to keep it away
from Jaden Daniels twice a year and these high powered
NFC offenses, and you got to be able to stop
the run or Devonte Adams and Cede Lamb. I'll be
watching the game from the sidelines as you have the
ball for twenty one minutes and somebody else has it
for thirty eight. Jerry Jones on Dallas Radio this morning
talking about the Devonte Adams situation. He's apparently on the market.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
Jerry, you have talked about the importance of just these
young guys stepping up because of some of the bigger,
higher paid contracts you guys have had to have. Does
that formula have to remain when talking about making a deal.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
There's a reason why the player will be available if
you try to make a trade. There's a reason why,
and it's either prohibitively high relative to what you would
have to trade to get them, and so you don't
get any wishful thinking here when you bring somebody in
or look at making a trade. Oh, let's go make
a trade. It's not there.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Usually now, Remember Davonte Adams and Antonio Peers don't get along.
He's been outspoken, Ceedee Lamb pretty much plays and delivers
and produces. He's great. You don't get a lot of
stuff beyond that. He gets upset on the sideline in
case I'm it's in a game. It doesn't bother me much.
But I think Jerry's right on this. Jerry's not impulsive.
(16:07):
I have my issues with Jerry and the vanity and
the talking constantly and putting pressure on his coach. But
he's not crazy town. It's not like Indianapolis or you
know Dan Snyder who used to run Washington. I never
you know Cleveland. I don't feel Dallas as that. I
just think they are a small business in need and
outside voice and a set of eyes from outside the
(16:29):
building with the last name not being Jones. But I
don't think it solves Dallas's core issues. They can't run it,
and they can't stop the run, and the only way
to beat high powered offenses. You know, we're all looking
at the Rashi Rice issue for Kansas City. The bigger
issue may be Pachecko. When Kansas City's at their best
(16:50):
is they are scoring, but they're controlling both lines of
scrimmage because of of strong run game along with Mahomes,
and right now it's very hitting without Pachecko. So this
league gets more offensive if you have a bad defense.
There's one way to compete, time of possession. Devonte Scores
could score quickly, but I don't think it works.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
I was thinking about this because the Jayde and Daniels
story is awesome. So when I grew up as a kid,
you know, I'm in the seventies and eighties. Washington I
think back then Jack Kent Cook owned them. They were
kind of crazy. But Washington was my favorite team in
the early and the mid seventies. They had George Allen,
the late George Allen as a coach. I can go
through and name the players. It's Larry Brown, Chris Hamburger,
Pat Fisher, Dyrone, Talbert, Billy Kilmer. I knew all of them.
(17:45):
I love that team. Long story why it was my
favorite team. I grew up near Seattle because I thought
Washington was our state, not the nation's capital. Blah blah blah.
But it is, so I grew up with a lot
of I loved them, and then the Joe Gibbs years,
and then Dan Snyder takes over and they are a
tire fire for his entire ownership. It's just even the
moments they had an RG three, it burns out quick.
(18:07):
This is fun. This is an incredible fan base. It
reminds me of the Warriors pre staff. You forgot how
good the Warriors were in like the seventies and how
rabid the fan base was, and they were just sort
of irrelevant forever. Washington's an unbelievably wealthy city. Their owner
now is going to have a lot of juice. And
I like everybody, but isn't it funny Texans, Bengals, Washington
(18:30):
get the quarterback right. That's seventy percent, that's the root
of the tree. Seventy five percent of your issues are over.
And I got into this discussion a while back with
somebody who's an executive in the NFL that deals a
lot with personnel, and not all executive do do that.
Some are operations people, some are personnel people, and most
of my guys are personnel people. And I got into
(18:51):
this and I said, how do you know the guy is?
It said? My take is, there's got to be a wow.
There was never a wow with Derek Carr. There's never
been a wow with Dak Prescott. Dax's wow is that
he's smart, he's an adult, he's a grown up, he's
(19:13):
an excellent leader. But there's got to be a physical wow.
And you could say, well, what about Josh Allen. Josh
Allen was all wow. He wasn't refined. That's why don't
get too caught up on stats on rookie quarterbacks. Most
aren't ready, most aren't refined. And it's why I've defended
Kyler Murray because I saw a lot of wow. I
didn't know he didn't prep behind the scenes, but I
(19:35):
saw the wow. But if you start, I was writing
down the list this morning. That's why with Daniel Jones,
there's no wow. The wow is his offensive coach arm speed, size,
Will levis sorry, gun show and cool hair doesn't count
as wow. He's got a strong arm, but it's not
Josh Allen, it's not Mahomes. And so with Jade and Daniel,
(19:58):
when you watch him, regardless of his stats, and his
stats are amazing, he looks like Lamar Jackson. He's about
ninety percent Lamar Jackson running. And you also get accuracy
that is like Joe Burrow in college his last year, Like,
what is going on? So if not all these guys
come in refined or they get the right coach, But
(20:20):
I said that when I watch Sam Darnold in college
USC Penn State go to the Rose Bowl, he is
making crazy throws with a bad coach at Harold Ball,
You're like, whoa Carson Wentz came in, never got refined,
but there was a lot of size arm movement. Wow.
And Mark Sanchez yesterday was talking about what he's seen
very early with Jaden Daniels.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
This kid has elite speed. He knows how to get
the ball out of his hands quickly. Cliff has set
him up that way, a ton of pure progressions where
he's just going one through five boom boom, boom boom.
I know exactly what it looks like. I know exactly
what I'm looking for. Cliff gets to go be a
coordinator again before potentially he gets to be a head
coach again down the line, and he's gotten better. He
went back to college for a year, comes back to
(21:03):
the NFL and he's ready to go. He has a
guy that can pull the trigger for him and he's
setting him up nicely. There's a lot of reasons for
his success. Did anybody expect it to be the best
in NFL history? No, of course not. That's the result.
But the process has gotten better.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
And there is no question. If you watch him in
the SEC out running SEC linebackers, there is wow stuff here.
He's just more refined early than anybody could have guessed.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Be sure to catch live editions of the Herd weekdays
and neon Eastern non Am Pacific.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
As he's aged, he stayed young and clever and with it.
The best football coach in the world and regarded as
the great play designer and play caller of his generation.
And he's a humble guy. I didn't want to talk
about that, but he's starting to stack trophies now. Andy Reid,
coach of the Super Bowl back to back winning Chiefs,
(21:56):
he's joining us. You know, I was thinking about this
SPAGS has been around for Chris Jones is a veteran.
Travis Kelsey as mahomes is, do you ever Andy, when
I mean you guys have been in so many close
games in a row, do you ever just go to
your guys, the Bedrock guys, and do they ever come
to you? You're so close and you've had so much success,
(22:16):
and do they ever come to you and say, Andy,
can't we got to take the shells off today? Andy,
we can't hit the day? Or are you just gonna
go Listen, guys, this is football. It's tough. What's the
communication like between you and those veterans, Fags, Chris, all
those guys.
Speaker 7 (22:33):
Yeah. So with the players, I've got a player's Committee, Collin,
So they let me know where they're at and how
they're feeling, and I try to check with them. And
it's important that in today's world we talk about recovery
and keeping guys fresh and all of that. So I
keep my ears open and I'm always listening and asking
questions and they're willing to share, which is a good thing.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
So I had defended Travis Kelcey in the first couple
of weeks. I said, my guess is Andy's trying to
established Rashi Rice is a number one target. He's trying
to get Xavier Worthy worked in. This isn't Travis issue.
It's let's get the young receivers up to speed. So
let's start with Worthy, who is a remarkably fast kid.
Not a lot of guys run like him. I don't
(23:16):
see him as a volume guy, but I think he's
really important. Do you see him as a guy that
could be twelve targets, nine catches? How do you see him?
Speaker 7 (23:24):
Yeah, I think you'd love him, Colin. I know Sark
told me he was his favorite guy, which I probably
shouldn't say, but he really liked the kid. And he's
a California kid too, Colin, so I'm partial to him
a little bit. But he's very smart, and he's got
great football instincts and love us play a lot of
like DeShawn Jackson and his football knowledge and his ability.
(23:47):
So I'm not sure I want to take him through
the middle of the defense every play, but I know
he's he can endure some hits, and he can he
knows how to avoid hits, which is a plus at
his size.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
You know, Gronk had this and Travis Kelsey does and
maybe an old Antonio Gates. They just have an ability
to get open on big plays, is it uh? And
they're willing blockers, which always helps. Travis doesn't run. No
tight end runs in year ten on like they ran
their second year in the league. Ask him to block it.
(24:20):
Gronk got slow, but he was valuable. If I said
to you, give me the assets of Travis Kelcey, all
things considered, hand speed, knowledge, what to you makes him
special and different than other tight ends historically.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
Phenomenal instincts and ability of play in space, I would
tell you the second second, and none of the guys
that I've been around since I've been in the league
and watching this thing. So he just has a knack.
He's quarterback friendly, which you can appreciate. People don't know
that you were a quarterback. But I'm telling him that,
and so you know that. You know that that guy
(24:57):
he's closest to you, and he becomes very valuable and
so and then he's got you know, he's one of
those football savant guys, player savants. He knows exactly what's
going on, he knows all the positions, and he does
a great job.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
With all that one of the reasons teams don't win
three in a row. And it's harder now than ever
because it's a much more mobile league. Guys get richer,
they have endorsements, they get it distracted. So during the
off season you're sitting there looking at your trophies and thinking,
how do I avoid apathy? And how do you Is
it something you brought into camp? Is it a talking point?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Andy?
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Nobody's done this, and Shule has had great teams in
Belichick and Bill Walsh. They had the personnel to win
three straight and the league wasn't even as mobile as
it is now. You've had injuries. How do you attack
that or do you.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
No apathy for the trophies? Apathy for Tommy Berger is
not the I just try to I step back and
I understand Colin what it takes to play in this league.
It's it's not easy. And so training camp is going
to remain the same, and you better get your cell.
You can do whatever you want in the off season.
(26:15):
That you better be prepared. And the guys know that,
and the veteran players know it, and and so they
come back in good shape. They work their tails off
in the off season. They and then once they once
the season comes around, they're ready to go. And we
don't talk about the trophies. We don't look at the
trophies and do all of that stuff. We understand that
(26:37):
the competition level so high in this league and the
parody is so close that we've got to make sure
we stay on our a game every day, and that's
the way we go about it.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Spags, do you ever override him on anything? Or does
he run the show defensively? What what I mean? Do
you ever have to go hey? Can we discuss this?
Can we talk about that? I know you have so
much respect for him. Where's the line on that?
Speaker 7 (27:02):
Yeah, I'm lucky to have these coordinators at all three spots,
and Spags does a great job. I let him roll
with what he does and nobody does it better. I mean,
he's a great teacher most of all and has a
tremendous mind for the game. So very fortunate that way
as I am on the offensive side with Nags and
(27:23):
then with Toad, so they're all they all do their
thing and I just kind of jump in when I
need to jump in and have some fun with it.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Okay, Mahomes and I love him, but most of the
great quarterbacks in my life, Elway, Peyton, Manning, Stafford, they
throw bad picks. Mahomes had a couple of them. Do
you say anything or is it a yeah, he knows
it's stunk because he's had a couple of stinkers this year.
Do you say, hey, what did you see? What do
you do when you have the best quarterback in the
(27:55):
planet and it's just doesn't look right to you? What
do you do?
Speaker 7 (28:01):
Yeah? So I'm here just to be a teacher, and
so I try to help him out with whatever I
can help him out with. But nobody wants. First of all,
nobody wants to be coached more than he wants to
be coached. And then nobody knows when he makes a
mistake better than he knows. He makes a mistakes, so
he doesn't want to throw the interceptions, and so maybe
there's something in there that he can see it for
(28:23):
the next time. And then my point to him is
keep firing. You're the best of the business. Keep firing,
and we'll work on the small things as we go.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
There.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Does he ever lose confidence even for a series?
Speaker 7 (28:39):
I haven't seen it. You know, he wants to do well.
He wants. He's that kind of guy he's gonna be.
He's always in the building and that whole deal. He
grew up in a stake in locker room, so he's
always around, and he wants to do well. He wants
to do well for his teammates. He's very good with
all that, and so don't get the whole ego thing
(29:01):
in there and uh and that. So he just wants
to know why, the whys and where guys are and
how he can make it better and help his teammates up.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
I know you're not a doctor, but there's more testing
reportedly on Rashi Rice. We're crossing our fingers in Generally,
with that kind of injury, there's a report the next day.
Do we have an update, Andy, I mean, usually this
kind of injury we know fast. It appears we don't
know yet, do you.
Speaker 7 (29:28):
Yeah, he's gonna have a couple more tests done this
next week, so we'll see exactly where it's at. And
you know, well, I'm gonna leave it up to the doctors.
You're right. I don't claim to be that. I just
know he's not gonna be there this week and probably
the next week. So well, we've got a bunch of
(29:49):
guys that we've got to get ready to go, and
that's that's what we're doing.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
One ten straight. Uh, each of the last seven has
been a one score game. I said, you're starting to
be very new England, the coach, the quarterback situationally excellent. Great.
You know, you never think about the dynasty you're in.
One you are one is you're kind of a normal guy.
And you know what I'll say this about I will
say this about your guys between Kelsey, Chris Jones, U Spags.
(30:17):
There's something about being in the Midwest that you guys
don't get. You know what I mean. It's like I
always feel like Green Bay and you guys have this
is that you're just normal. It's easy to get abnormal
when you start stacking trophies. It feel you feel like
a bunch of normal guys when you're when you're around it,
does it feel like you're the reigning dynasty in America?
Speaker 3 (30:39):
No?
Speaker 7 (30:39):
I mean, listen, all those guys that you mentioned, and
I'd throw Pat in there too, they're just guys that
want to work and get better, which is which is
a dream for a coach. And they take care of
business in the locker room there they and guys are
on the same page. All those guys are real good leaders,
boltons in that mix. And I you know, I've got
(31:01):
some young guys in the secondary. They're real good leaders
and so very fortunate with Brett Veach. You know Brett
the great job that he does on bringing guys in
and so we try to keep it real. And what's
real is you get put your nose the grinder and
get to work. And that's what we've tried to do.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs. The standard in the NFL
as always great, Senior. You always give us time. I
appreciate that, coach.
Speaker 7 (31:31):
Yeah, thank you, calling you the best man.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
All right, Andy Reid? Yeah right now. So seven straight
games they've won by one score. That's what's remarkable. It's
that that there's there. I mean, because I'll tell you
when I watch TV, I look at Baltimore and I
go wow, like yikes. I watch Buffalo and I do
a lot of wow With Kansas City. They just lull
(31:55):
you to sleep, and all of a sudden it's late
in these games and they are so good. It reminds
me so much in New England. The structure, the coach,
the quarterback and playmakers in crisis and that's what they
have
