You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Oh he is all fired up. He should be Michael
Irvin showing me during the break. First of all, he
was hanging out in Dallas and then the coach called him.
Mario Christobal went to Berkeley, Berserkley, and then he went
back to Dallas last night for the Cowboy, and then
he flew in this morning. So put that on your phone.
Let the crowd.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Oh yeah, man, we're talking about this. How people at
when they win?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Okay, in it now it is.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
I don't know if you guys see it?
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Now? Watch this?
Speaker 3 (00:50):
This is out woman, no way, hold on watches, watch
and watching?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Why huh?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
I'm at Studio eighty eight at please makers right now,
look at it. Look at it?
Speaker 1 (01:15):
You are feeling it? Whoa amen?
Speaker 3 (01:19):
I don't understand why people act like this man about
a football game.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Man, I don't know Why.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Do people act like this is about a football game.
Look at that.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Was at your restaurant in Dallas, playmakers, look at the
people outside your restaurant?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Well what God, what? Hey? What? Ain't nothing better than that? Boy?
And when you have your.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
You didn't have Micah there you Michael right?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
And that blews my mind. Now you take a top
ten rushing team that was a top ten rushing team
without Michael Parson, without without the law, and you hold
that team the ninety two yards rushing that confused. That's
the one thing that makes me feel good when I say, oh, okay,
(02:09):
what do you take away from that? Win? That part
right there? Now you're gonna add back in Michael Parson
somewhere along the line, the Marcus Lorench somewhere along the line.
How can we not be better at stopping the run?
So I gotta watch that closely because if it continues,
then I gotta wonder what the hell's going on? Well,
(02:29):
Michael Parson and de log gets back. If we continue
to have problems, then you gotta wonder what the hell's
going along with those two?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Now you should be better.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, when they return.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
You know I said this about Dak This is, and
this is a compliment. My favorite part of him is
that if you just dropped into a game, you would
have no idea if Dak had four touchdowns or four picks.
He's unflappable. His mood never changes. So he and ceedee Lamb,
ceedee Lamb's barking at him. What do you You've talked
(03:01):
to players? What happened when ced Lamb was barking in
the what's going on there?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah? I don't know. You know, there could be a
lot of things here, and I'm confused with this and
I have you guys know, I've called over in that
facility to try to find out if then thing's going
on between these two, and everything I get is no,
these guys are good. Boy that the dudes they're good.
They're boys, so there's no problem. I said, man, well,
you know, I don't know that thing. Even in that
(03:27):
Green Bay game when Dak missed CD and then they
had their little misconnect and disconnect and it didn't seem
like they wanted to get the gether get together and talk.
I said to myself, Now, wait a minute, that was
early in the game, that that happened, That was too early,
and that upset to be that upset I'm talking about
in the Green Bay in the playoff game. You can't
(03:49):
so whatever that was, I thought, did you bring this
into this game? Like how can you you see what
I mean? So so, But every time I call over there,
every time I asked, anybody I asked at that facility,
they assure me that Dallas that that that Dak and
CD are great. That there boys.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I think when he was I'm not a lip reader,
but what I thought he was saying was, hey, you
know what we talked about, you get me the jump
balls and Dak maybe a little reluctant to just throw
it up for a jump ball. That's what I thought
he was saying. I didn't see him swearing. I thought
it was like, you know what, we talked about jump
balls in.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
That situation because he threw that ball kind of on
the line.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
He did the line they talked about maybe get it up.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Well and if they did. And that's another thing. Now,
I don't if he was saying, we talked about a
jump ball a jump ball, and but you know collins
Worth said, boy said, you know, to push it into
the microphone once you said what you say, and everybody
else in minds. Just go to wondering boy you can
you can read read it for you.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Do that to the akman, say we I mean, do
you ever have a little bit of a tiff for
an hour for a half with Troy?
Speaker 3 (04:59):
No? We ain't never have a problem ever, never, ever, No,
why I can't. I just don't understand. I wouldn't never
have a problem with my quarterback. It's almost to me
like the fish looking at the water and being mad
talking about why you wet water? Like you need that
damn water. What are you talking about? Fish? You don't
(05:20):
care how it is. I need that water as wide receiver,
I need that quarterback. I'm never going to flap at him,
so you know, I'm gonna talk to him real nice.
Hey man, what's up everything? Okay, are you doing that?
Don't worry about that bad throw? I got the next one.
Ain't no bad everything all. That's just my mentality. So
now it's just a little different.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
So here's something so I told. My favorite part about
a dak is there's a little Kirk Cousins. He's an adult.
He's smart, eq unflappable. Okay, Aaron Rogers the opposite. I
can tell what he's done based on his mood, and
after a couple picks, he starts getting real breezy on
the mechanics. He's flipping it. He's doing this to his
(06:01):
coordinator hurry up on television, kind of calling him out right, Michael,
I don't love that. It bothers me? Does it? Does
it should? Aaron reel back his emotions. Are you okay
with the quarterback basically humiliating the OC on camera?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Well, and now now now I'm gonna go I'm gonna
go straight here because I gotta do it. I gotta
be straight. Now that's your perception of what he's doing. Now, Colin,
you know all of that, and you you said, well,
that's to you, is humilating. If these guys are bringing
that play in real slow all the time, man, he's
just telling him, get that damn play in. Stop messing around.
(06:37):
You see what I'm saying. So I gotta really know
the function of it. If they're getting that play in
and a reasonable, reasonable enough time and you're doing this
now you're trying to show up, show up, Aaron. But
if they're really not getting to play in, he's saying,
hurry up, stop messing around. Then then that's that. That's
that's reality. But we almost we we we have enough
(06:58):
evidence to see and say things like, you know, we
knew what kind of relationship and situations were with Aaron
in Green Bay. Why do we think once he grows
to New York that some of those things are going
to be just smoothly ran and he's not going to
have whatever kind of issues with people. So I'm sure,
I'm sure they have situations. And when it gets like
(07:21):
it is in New York right now, because a lot
of people are chirping in green In Green Bay as
many people, people don't talk about it as much, but
in New York, yeah, things, things get talked about all
the time. So I could imagine them having some rough
stuff going on in New York. Anyway, Why would you
not hug your coach in that, in that celebratory moment
(07:42):
like that, to be able to just stop.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
You didn't like that, or you did I did not? Okay,
So when Aaron and Sally came up.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yeah that was that wasn't cool.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
You didn't like that at all.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
But I don't know how many people in the whole
world in that celebratory moment, big moment like that, everybody's
so happy somebody come in and jump on you and
hug you, that you would just hug back that that
that takes a person to stop that right there. You
know what I'm saying. No, I know that that takes
a person. So you can talk that of how you
(08:13):
want to, But I just don't know anybody that would
stop if we're.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
All that happy.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
We're winning a game so hard just act about that
game right there. I I didn't play one damn snap
and y'all just playing a snap and one and and
everybody have it and you and you boom. You got
enough for you to stop that, man, Cole. Yeah, yeah,
that doesn't work for you. That doesn't work. I'm just
(08:39):
telling you. You got some menu you to have that.
To have that at that moment, right, to have that
at that moment, that's wow. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays
and Noone Eastern non am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
FS one and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
So the there was a moment in the Buffalo game.
And I don't bang on coaches for play calling much.
I don't know what's going on in the headsets, but
the Bills passed it three times, so Josh Allen looked
like at a concussion. They were running the ball. You
got it. You got to force Houston to call timeouts.
So if Jimmy Johnson ever called something and you didn't
(09:20):
like it, would aikeman just do his own thing? Like
I thought Josh Allen at some point when they kept
calling passes and you're trying to get Houston to burden
their times out timeouts, Josh hauld just run the ball.
Do you did you ever feel in Dallas with you
and Troy, Hey, we're gonna do something on our own
here a little bit.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Well, not like that, not like that now when they
have experienced something like that in college. It was why
you known that one of our bowl games that made
a venue Testaverde wanted to throw that touchdown as a
polls to the touchdown if you add it on a
little bit, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And Jimmy wanted to run,
(10:02):
you know, and another person he just won his heisman.
There's no way you could pull him out right, and
and yeah we threw it. He threw it, and we
threw an interception and we lost that game. That's the
only thing now I heard that's what happened. I heard,
that's what kind of happened later on, you know, because
I see coach run, then ball or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
But did you ever question play calling when you were
a player.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Anytime the ball ain't coming to me? What do you mean?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
No?
Speaker 3 (10:34):
No, yeah, I did. I did when the ball wasn't
coming You.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Would you confront a coach on the sideline?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yep, my receiver, coach, My receiver coach. I'll follow him
to the telephone. So we called it off as a
coordinator upstairs. But I would never confront a quarterback or
I wouldn't go up to the head coach.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
No, okay, So Miami trailed by twenty five points in
the second half. Dude, cam Ward, who maygo number one
in the draft. He and Shadeer Sanders will battle it
out right. You're a huge college football fan. Take me.
You'd never been to Berkeley. No, they call it Burr'serkly.
It's a little crazy up there.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
It is all of those.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Crazy liberal kids. It's crazy, but it's all when they
unlike Stanford, it's beautiful when they're rolling. It is a loud,
nutty stadium.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Take me to that the game, and when I got
there right, because you know, you know, we didn't play
on college campus in Miami, so I didn't know about it.
You know, I don't know anything about it. Man. Again,
it's a college campus, right, and they block off the
stadium so you got a five to ten minute walk.
So I got to drop my driver and then I go.
I said, pull up round the police officer. Police officer.
(11:43):
They give me an export on end, you know, the enemy.
I was like, boy Berkeley, he's nice people. But of
course though they were waiting to take some pictures. I
ain't mind taking pictures with everybody. But when I got there, oh, colleage, No,
people were going crazy in Miami. They were up, and
Miami was like, you know, coming off that emotional win
(12:05):
the previous week, right, the previous week were kind of
down and I was like, I was worried. I was like,
you're not going to beat this kind of energy with
being down.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
And Mario Crystabaal sensed it was going to be a problem.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Yeah, he coaches so great, man, our coach is so toooned.
Then I love that dude. Man.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
He called me, he called me all.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
He called me, say, man, I need you on the sideline.
I need you talking to the kids. We want you here.
We gotta be you know, they said, I'll fly you in.
I'll pay to fly. I got a few dollars. I
fly myself here. Don't worry you just let me know
where you need me. But but we I just love him, man,
he's everything. Man. He gave such a great speech at
halftime about that tea to that team. I was like,
(12:45):
let's go, let's go. We were ready when we came out.
I was fired up. I was ready, man, boy. I
wanted to go out there by my knee. Soon as
I hit them stairs my knees. Say stop acting like that,
you know what I'm saying. But but it was just
that's nothing like the energy you get on that college field.
I wish them kids understand how much they're going to
miss it when they get my age and they're going
(13:07):
to they realize you'll never be able to Oh my god.
I was trying to let these sisters, you know, like
I'm telling them, in these games right here, right now
determines how you're going to live the rest of your life,
it does, you know what I mean. I know maybe
y'all don't see that, but when you win here, you
walk into everything you do the rest of your life
(13:30):
thinking and feeling like you're going to win. If you
come up short here, you may feel you're going to
come up short. That's why we gotta win right here,
right now. I'm just trying to make them know it.
Oh my god, man, it's nothing like it. And when
those kids come back saying, you know, man, we need
you your own man, you're right. You know when they
feel that feeling, it's different. Man. Those dudes up there
(13:53):
talking about scoreboard, score board, you know, because that's what
they do when they are up.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
There, score board, score board.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Every time we did anything. And then they were doing
you know, the thing that the cam does, and they
were egging us on and I was like, huh, I'm
not used to this, you know, in Miami. This is
what we do to people. They doing it up.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Ham Ward's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Dude, A great dude. Dog, He's great.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Is he a big time NFL player? Do you think
you're a college guy.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
No, No, he's a big time NFL player in and
he's great leadership man him. It's so great for me
to watch him in sure door. You know, I had
great dinner. I went to dinner with him this summer
as we got ready to talk about what they wanted
to do this year, Him and Bang just to phenomenal dudes.
But this dude right here. I was telling people one
(14:43):
time about the time he had one receiver working out
in for a Laarge deal with Lamar Jackson, and he
called him. He said, man, what are you doing. I'm
with Lamar Jackson. Boy, you don't get back down here
and work with us football. You need that kind of leadership.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
And that passion. You got to carry that.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Kind of passion has the mouth, But at the same time,
you got to have that kind of cool like he
has on a football field when you're down twenty and
he just march right back. I was out there saying
we're gonna win their day. Thirty nine, thirty eight. They
would saying, score board, score board. We were now thirty
eight eighteen.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Now, Michael, do you say at the end of the game,
they were gone.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
I was looking for them all, score board, school board, wi'
y'all go.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Wi' y'all go.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
They all was gone. Though they had left over. They
got it.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
So you know, when when you on these standalone games
last night for the Cowboys and they're different standalone games
feel different. Yeah, and you know when what should the
Cowboys feel today? Like they didn't play well? They I mean,
DA didn't play particularly well. All wins are not the same,
(15:51):
or are they? How are you feeling flying home from
that last night? But that schedule is getting really tough
coming up for Dallas, right right?
Speaker 3 (15:58):
And that that was part that that was part of
the tough schedule. Pittsburgh is a tough, physical team. We
can talk about it and we talk about justin fields
and everything, but that's how Mike Tumblan wants to play offense.
That's what he wants. He wants his defense to win
those football games. And you moved that ball against Probably
(16:20):
the Pittsburgh Stillers defense was the best best units I'm
talking about in all of football the first three weeks
of the season. They probably played the best football. And
when you talk about units offense, defensive, special teams units,
they were probably the best putting all together. And in Dallas,
what Dallas did was going in and be able to
(16:40):
move the ball without only using CD.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
No, I didn't use it much on the second There
is there.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Is something you put out of that game. We stopped
the run without the two best players on defense and
then you moved the ball not using the best player
on office. A little hope in that.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah, no, they'd been using CD out of the backfield.
The fact that he kind of wasn't part of the
offense in the second half. It feels pretty good. All right,
you can run, you can show that little fun thing again.
I know you just love that, don't you. That's that
thing on?
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Now?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Who was at your who was who was filming you lost?
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Oh? That was boy, you know people that were there
with me at the Playmakers Man, Playmakers, Playmakers the eighty
eight man. Because I was getting ready to do some
more work because right at the end of that I
had to shoot another podcast, so you know, well, we're
always in there working. But it was man, I just
love that stuff. And I got to enjoy Saturday and Sunday.
(17:37):
So I have two great weeks in a row, you know,
because Mike is Colorado didn't play, so that I called
that a win. As long as Colorado, Miami and the
Cowboys win, I'm good. That's a good week.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
The Hall of Famer, the Playmaker.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Great seeing you, that's a good We always great talking
to you guys, man, And it's always great talking to
you guys after a win, because I know y'all thought
everybody thought we were gonna lose that game. Yeah, I did,
y'all thoughts, I'll go no video cry, but no no
ay crime, baby, I'm laughing. I'm loving hey, y'all the
ones that won't Occury.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Dallas winning is not bad for Fox. Find the blue Box, Walmart, Target,
Best Fire, go to JLab dot com Audio products, the
best in the game Roma Next.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Oh a role winning these things right now? Boy, I
like this.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays
and noon Eastern nin a em Pacific.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Wild Dave, Matt Hasselbeck stop by the show. Michael Irvin
did as well, and it was I mean, this is
just the best part about sports. Crazy Saturday, Major League
Baseball playoff games, the National League stuff taking the night
off has been insane. NFL tonight we get the Kansas
City Chiefs hosting New Orleans. Keep your eye on the Saints.
(18:51):
Been a bit of an unlucky team. Rashi Rice out
for the Chiefs, so they don't have their number one weapon.
Here's Jmack with the news.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
This is the headline news.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
So last week Colin Kyle Shanahan said Kyler Murray could
be the scariest quarterback in the NFL. Well. On Sunday,
Kyler Murray had one of the coolest plays in the
entire league. Here he is given the RPO and around
the forty three yard line, he throws up his hand
knowing he smooth sailings to the end zone. That is
pretty cool when you're over forty yards out. Kyler said
(19:26):
he knew he was not gonna get caught, and the once.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
You know, well, once the lovegser got that block and
I cleared the two dudes, I was gone.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
So it was that's always you know, it's.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Not many times you can do that in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Let's be able to finally, you know, he hit along
row is good swim.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Yeah, pretty special, impressive.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
They're an inconsistent team, Arizona.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
They I was watching that game in the first half
and I thought, nobody beats themselves like Arizona. Like Arizona
is such a roller coaster, and that's what I always
worry about. Even though the Niners lost, I do feel
like there is a consistency in performance. I mean, these
games go either way either I was going to win
the better lose last night based on one play in
(20:07):
the Cowboys Theater game. But with San Francisco, I mostly
feel like they'll have a stinker or two in the season.
Arizona'll have a stinker a two in the month where
they just don't show up to play. And I think
a lot of that is either Kyler's personality the ownership.
I just don't feel to be to sustain excellence. Sometimes
(20:28):
you get cluster injuries, that's different, But I feel like
Arizona this was a matchup I really liked. So I
took the points, but I next week, if they got
blown out by forty, I wouldn't be shot.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
They played green baby.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
I kind of feel like the well coached teams and
the better organizations I get the same performance week after weeks.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
So you were so passionate on the Cardinals that I
actually took them in the contest and hit. But I'm
telling you, they're down thirteen to ten, and they have
the block kick for a touchdown, okay, and then Kyler
throws the interception of Bosa and they're down twenty three
ten at the half, and I'm like, why the heck
did I tail coward on this?
Speaker 4 (21:02):
And then San Francisco kind of sort of.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
Just I don't went through the motions, the lack of kicker,
but it was a weird game from San Francisco Arizona.
I don't know if I can take who do you
take less seriously? Arizona or Seattle.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Well, I think Arizona's got a superstar quarterback and Seattle doesn't,
so that's just more dangerous.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Who has bet more better players?
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Well, I think Seattle does. Their GM John Sneyder has
a better roster, but it doesn't matter the engineer of
that's the quarterback. And so that's why I Arizona is
one of those teams. I think you and I both
admitted this always dangerous. If you take them lightly, you
can get your doors lowed off. But they're not a
super Bowl team because they don't have the consistency top down.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
And it looks like Arizona just announced one of their linemen, Hernandez,
out for the season. I don't know if you saw
that injury, you kind of got bent back. It was
pretty gruesome. That's a tough loss to them. Next up,
let's go to college football. The Kaitlin de Moore era
was off to a great start. Remember they beat Georgia
last week, but then to no show as twenty two
point favorites at Vanderbilt Man Colin.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
That game was wild.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
This was the first time Vanderbilt beat a number one
team and the first time they'd ever scored forty against the.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Top five team.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
Nick Saban had a four to zero record against Vanderbilt,
only allowing them to score thirteen points in four games.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Think about this the last time Vandy beat Bama nineteen
eighty four, forty years ago. But I will say this
about Vandy. Loved their quarterback and they use him smartly,
a lot of misdirection, a lot of clever stuff Like
that's a coaching win for Bandy. They took advantage of
(22:41):
a team off a huge win over Georgia that came
in flat disrespectful, and Vandy just made Alabama work with
it with a lot of clever stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
And a lot of the Vandy ryders.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
I'm reading about the transfer portal and how they used
it wisely. I'm just I know people don't want to
hear it, but the days of a few teams dominating
college football that's over.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
You and I talked about it this weekend. So what
happens is if a kid is what happens to a
Georgia is you lose depth. Like if a left tackle
is like a backup and he's not playing, he'll go He'll.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Go to he's probably a five star recruit.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
He will not The kids are not going to be patient.
So what happens, Like Georgia gets a couple of injuries
on the old line, you just don't have the backups.
It used to be Pete Carroll at USC there were
four great running backs in LA. He would take all four. Yeah,
it was like keep away. Nobody has depth. So if
you lose a star receiver that backup. He went to
(23:32):
Syracuse because he got one hundred thousand dollars, So you
just don't. Over the course of his season, teams, I
mean Alabama and their prime felt like their backup line,
backups could start for everybody not named Ohio State. There's
no depth here. You get guys banged up, you have
a bad unit really fast, and.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Teams like Vanderbilt, Prophet, even Indiana. I don't know if
you've seen India. They're amazing this year.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
It's like what you.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Guys just gave me this? Vandy was Ozero and sixty
all time against top five teams. Wow, they'd never beaten
a top five team.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Jeez.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
A phenomenal win for Vanderbilt.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
I mean, listen, I'm not gonna knock Alabama. Here come
the rest of their schedule.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
If you do want to have to go to they
have to go to LSU Oklahoma, Tennessee.
Speaker 5 (24:13):
Yeah, there's a world where they were a three loss
team and it's like on the fence for the playoff.
We'll see a long way Togo, but a fun season
and head final story is Joe Burrow said he was
gonna have to be damn near perfect for the Bengals
to beat Baltimore. The problem is Burrow was perfect thirty
of thirty nine three and ninety two yards. However, that
interception in the fourth quarter really changed the game, and
(24:35):
after the game, the Cincinnati quarterback said, the Bengals have
a lot of work to do.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
We're not a championship level team right now.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
We're not.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
You know, I like to think that, you know, we'll
come back and improve throughout the season to get to
that point, but right now we.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Are not, and we have to get better.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
I know exactly how were one four. We're I'm making
the plays at the end of the game to go
and win it.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Ah, definitely not disbelief.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
I know exactly what's happening.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
I love that he reminds me so much of Aikman
when he talks like that. He's just his personality. He
is blunt, he's to the point, he's not gonna, he's
not forgiving.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
See, if ownership were smart, they would call him in
and say, Joe, any thoughts.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
Let us know this is They lost to the Patriots
by six, the Chiefs by one, Washington by five, the
Ravens by three, So.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
They have four losses in all of them are by
one score.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Callin, who's a better one? In fourteen Bengals or Rams stop.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
Bengals.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Obviously, what happens when Pooka and Cooper come.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
Back, Well, that's a different discussion.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
You have to ask Rams just have no players left.
Let's see what they do. So the Bengals, now.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
They beat they'll beat the Giants. That was my first bet.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
If you guys care for me, you think they'll beat
the Giants?
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Yeah, three and a half. I don't mind the hook.
I know you love the Giants, and go ahead and
take the other side.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
On that one.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
They should beat Cleveland. The Philadelphia game will be interesting. Raiders, Listen,
there's a path for them to get back to five
hundred by the bye.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Well, they don't, no, no, they've got They've got some
double us here. Cleveland's two double us and.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
You don't know what's gonna happen injury wise around the league.
I mean, we'll see how Justin Herbert is coming off
the bye. I think the Bengals are gonna be okay,
as long as get in the get in the mix,
get a wild card spot, and let the ship full
with them.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
You done?
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (26:26):
I mean, I have other stuff I can talk about.
I mean, but we're just on the herd.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Line, Okay, herd Line news.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Well that's the news. And thanks for stopping by the
herd Line news.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
I had you know, listen, I'm just gonna say it
that USC loss. I was off my game the whole weekend.
That was a tough one. Minnesota come on nothing against
the Golden Golphers, but can't can't score seventeen points against
Minnesota when you have all these five star wide receivers.
Speaker 5 (26:55):
Did you see the USC fans online calling for Moss
to be benched.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
They're out of there. He's not the issue. Very uncreative
game plan. What their biggest problem is they're not good
at offensive tackle. They have and that's Lincoln Riley. They
have two playable offensive tackles. This is USC he's been
there three years.
Speaker 5 (27:13):
I saw a stat that he's got the same record
in the last twelve games as Billy Napier, who they're
trying to run out of town in the SEC.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
I don't think they're gonna run Lincoln out.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
And Billy Billy's faced a tougher schedule. Yeah, and it's
not an nil issue. They got twelve thirteen million bucks.
You can't blame an il. The money's there.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
They got to be Penn State this weekend.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
They better or it or it's gonna get really a
good LA boosters. They're not giving you money. If you
don't win, they'll ask for it back. This is not
the South where there's nothing else to do, where it's
the beginning, middle, and end of your lifestyle on the weekend.
If you don't win in LA, people don't go to
the games. That's why the Big ten's great because these
(27:56):
fans Penn State will bring twenty five thousand fans, they
won't leave USC fans will high tail at the Dodger games.
Browny and Braun, you know whoever, Harvon Herbert. Here's the
NFL week schedule, Week six schedule. Okay, so every week
I apologize to the radio audience. We pick our big
upset of the week. So you've got Thursday, San Francisco
(28:20):
at Seattle that wouldn't qualify Jaguars. Way do you go?
J Mack called their win.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
Yeah, no, sweat up fourteen and the fourth Joe Flacco
ties it up like five minutes.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Okay, the bet. I like this weekend. I like green
Bay hosting Arizona. That that is five and a half.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
I think green Bay tags him. Yeah, I think green
Bay is gonna beat him. Interesting Cleveland at Philadelphia interest.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
You, uh yeah?
Speaker 5 (28:47):
Eight and a half on that bad boy? What's up
with Deshaun Watson? Stefanski's getting more questions. You got questions
yesterday about the Shawn. Today, get more questions about the Shawn.
It's like, what's happening?
Speaker 1 (28:58):
There's some strangely interesting games. First of all, Monday Night
Buffalo with the Jets.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
That's I don't want to say, it's a Jets season
because it's early, but.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Is a big one.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
No, it's the season.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
I mean something has to change. If you lose this
game to the Bills. Something you fire somebody. I don't
care who it is.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Fire Okay, get him out of town.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
I'm over Hackett. Come on, man, Colin.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
If you and I can see the lack of motion,
Garrett Wilson could talk about it and then nothing changes.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
They're not creative. It's luckily the Bills.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
We'll see what's up with Josh Allen in this concussion
because you know the league, they can see what's going on,
like we'll see if we'll see if Allen plays.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
I don't know if he's a lot to go.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Here's an upset thereat Raiders. Steelers Raids, Yeah, lines Pittsburgh
by three in the desert. So I get the points, right.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
You take them?
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Who's your quarterback?
Speaker 5 (30:01):
By the way, since you've got the Raiders, Gardner got
bench yesterday.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
I'm sure you saw.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
I didn't agree with that decision.
Speaker 5 (30:08):
You want to keep Carter Minshew in Pittsburgh off a
tough loss.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Minshaw Mania, It's an interesting week. There's no bad weeks
in the NFL. I'll tell you the game. That's spicy.
Detroit at Dallas.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Guess the line. Do you want to because it's me.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
Guess the line. Detroit favored by two and a half,
three and a half. Give me another one, Give me
another game.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Let me guess the Falcons at the Panthers sneaky.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Good, Atlanta extra time to prepare. Atlanta favored by.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Two, Atlanta favored by six.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Oh that's a bad line, is it. I take Carolina.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
Nanther's just announcer center out for the season. That I
mean they are walkings wounded. Atlanta should match.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Give me another one.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Giants Bengals Bengals on the road.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
I think New York's favored. No, Cincinnati favored by one and.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
A half, three and a half. You're off on some
of these. Something's going on, MHM.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
League is getting weird and scary.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
That was a fun show. See you tomorrow.
