this is the kind of day it's been. Okay Simon
for me, based on Sean Kerner's advice, I'm convinced me
this morning I bet Cody Barton over seven and a
half tackles and assists in the Ravens Broncos games game
to this morning. He had seven and a half tackles

and assists for the entire fourth quarter. He did not cash.
He missed the eighth tackle on a penalty against the
Broncos near the goal line that the Ravens accepted the penalty,
the play didn't count. He never got another He never
got in another play again. It's been a strange, challenging,

difficult day. Let's see if the Rams can get this
punt off, you might be ahead of me. Right now.

Sunday conversation, we were starting to feel really good about
the Giants at four and a half in the contest,
Cowboys at three and a half in the content test,
and we still like New England at three and a
half in the contest, all of them ugly dogs. Of course,
we also loved the Packers at Packers at three and

a half. We had it locked in Thursday. By Sunday
it was two and a half. We decided not to
change anything because we wanted to keep the Packers line.
And thank god, because our favorites the Buffalo Bills minus six,
the New Orleans Saints minus seven and a half, They
should have won both of those games by thirty. It

will be interesting to see what Nick Giffen's expected scores
for those games should have been, because it's tragic they
didn't dominate those games. The Patriots got all the bounces
we hadn't gotten all season, thank god. All right, Geno
just threw a short pass out of bounds because no

one can tackle. Thank god for the Patriots today. I
feel like, because we've got this game sort of, it's
hard to get into the games right now. What you
know what we should do. Let's talk about this game

for a second, because to me, while we're watching this game,
we're going to jump ahead to the Rams.

Fourth a half, fourth and five now, so this might
be over in literally thirty seconds hopefully.

All Right, you're a little bit ahead of me, so great,
but let's talk about this one anyways. To me, like
the key moment was the end of the first half.
Like in the red zone, Stanford nearly throws a pick
the first time in the red zone all game. This
was a red zone liss game until nearly the end
of first half. He nearly throws a pick on one

play a bad incompletion than a fumbled snap.

This ain't over. Unfortunately, this is an ugly game.

This is a true divisional game right here. Let's jump

Anyway, all right, So Miami Buffalo. We'll start back at
the beginning. The Bills driving in the red zone Miami
like it had been a pretty close game. Early in
the second quarter, Josh Allen hits key on Coleman on
a slant two yard line. Coleman bobbles, the ball bounces
into Jalen Ramsey's hands. The Fins then go on a

fifteen play, eight minute drive to score a touchdown, and
that sort of let them find their rhythm, and the
Bills couldn't ever get ahead in the way that they
really needed to cover a six point number. Doesn't help
that they missed an extra point and then nearly missed
another extra point, and when they finally get the lead
(06:37):
of seven points midway through the fourth, they then let
Miami go eleven plays in five minutes and only got
him to third down once on that final drive. What
happened here, it was.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
A bunch of stuff. I mean, obviously you just talked about.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Though they came out to slopy offensively, right, they couldn't
really finish drives, put drives together, pick the field goal
to start the game. But I mean we talked a
little before he came on. I just think that penalty
in the first half, they score Josh Allen amazing rushing
touchdown and they call it back on a fantin and
holding call, and that kind of right there. When we bet,
we talk all the time you bet big favorites like

this that four points is gonna matter.

They kicked up a three there instead of getting the four,
and that.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Really did dictate the second half, where you know, that
would have been a different game. If they're up eleven
on that Miami team, they could play that different defensive instead,
like you said, they're only up seven, so Miami could
still run the ball, and that was the key to
them in this game. I mean, h Chan dominated this
game against them, and.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
We got lucky.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
They gave a couple of touches to most a Moster
got uh you know, stripped, stripped from the ball. I
think someone punched it out and it was like, Okay,
that's what we needed for our Buffalo bet. But yeah,
that they had a chance to win it. I think
I think it was fourth down two on that final
drive by Miami. They picked it up and getting that touchdown.
Like you said, it's it's a dead bet, especially at

the number we bet it. So that's that's life and
your I had these big favorites.

I will say that I still would have bet the Bills.
They were our favorite bet all week. It was.

and the same thing happened this Bills game where you
know that Josh Allen pick not his fault, stupid play

penalties didn't go away and uh yeah, great cover by Miami.

New Orleans a Carolina Carolina minus seven and a half.
Remember when I said on Thursday we were leaning towards leaning,
we were leaning towards betting. The worst QB against the
spread in the past twenty years and the worst coach
against the spread in the past twenty years, Why do
we think it was a good idea to bet the Saints.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
I can't really hate it. I like the panther strade DATAE. Johnson, like,
they're just they had a bunch of injuries. They still
have a bunch of injuries to their team.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Losing Alive they killed us, like Derek Carr.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Losing the number one, number two receiver because she Sheid
has been out for a couple of weeks. Now, it's
we saw it like it was tough for them to
keep a lead, and then when Alive went out, that
team just seems shook from that whole thing of this
guy getting knocked.

Out of the game.

And I'm with you, like, normally we're on the other
side of that one. I did feel pretty good though,
once the game started. I was like, thank god we
took the Saints too. They're gonna roll this team. But yeah,
that was that was a bad bet. Saints outdoors Divisional
game usually ru on the other side of that one,
So yeah, I definitely regretted it.

Well, it wasn't even a lot of like it was
the first two drives they couldn't get into the end zone,
you know they were Yeah, they kicked field goals, like
you get in the end zone on those two and
you're having a different conversation. And then Bryce Young didn't
even do a sort of stupid Bryce Young stuff where
he always sort of throws an interception. Yeah, a good game,

Yeah he played all right? U. All right, let's talk
about the last one we've lost, at least officially so
far today, which is Green Bay. Man. This one, this
one hurts a lot. Yeah, because this is the game
that set the tone for our week and the tone

for our day. We were so ready to fade a
peak Lions team outside in terrible weather for the first time,
first game outside all year, and like initially it looked
like the Packers should have been able to run all

over them and the Lions. We've been talking all year
how the reason we're betting the Lions isn't because of
the fireworks of their offensive scheme. It's only because their
offensive line is so freaking good. It's kind of what
we saw today, Like in the rain, in the muck,
in the wind, their offensive Line overpowered the Packers. Their

run game was tremendous. It made the difference the entire game.

But it was also you know, Jordan Love, I think
we saw in that game, who's the young second year
starting quarterback, right, I think that really shined out Like golf,
that moment did not seem too big for him in
any way.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
And now I know that Love had.

An injury coming into this game, and you know he
didn't move great in the pocket or trying.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
To get on the coin toss.

Sam could be said though about just you know, everyone
coming to that game was going to bet the lines,
and I thought we had a great number where okay,
this number might land on two and two or three,
but there's no way we're not covering the three and
a half. I just thought we had gotten such a
great number, especially with the movement of the number and

you know him dropping wicks dropping that.

Touchdown the end zone.

We both knew it's like, okay for them to get
this backdoor now, that's that chance is pretty much dead now.
And uh yeah that that was a huge game for Lines,
and I wish I could be happy with some of
that bet lines futures, but we talk all the time,
like the futures market, I bet so little compared to
what I have on these games week week, Like the
amount I just lost on Green Bay Nukes the amount

I'd win on the Lions when this division.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
So I wish I.

Could be happy about it, because this is a big
win if you were Allan's future bet. But now that
that one's stunk, that was a bad bet. This Lions
team's just a juggernaut and we will catch them eventually, right,
they will eventually have value on the other side. I
don't know what it's gonna be, Chack, because you're just nailed.
This was the spot, bad weather, everything kind of working

against them, and you know they were even playing that
good That picked six by Love flipped the whole thing,
And I wish I could say, well, that was just random,
But he's had a couple of games now with those
type of plays where he just does too much. So
uh yeah, that was a tough loss and a bat bet.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Their run game, there was a key play to me.
The key play was the Packers are driving, They've got
a third and five. It's an out route to Tucker Craft.
He just drops it, and then the very next play
they miss a field goal, and instead of going from

seven to six, the Lions then go down. They're up
ten to three, and then the Packers do what they do,
which is be aggressive, which you'd want them to do.
But that's when the Kirby Joseph picks six happens, and
like they couldn't get back into it, you know, in
fourth and one in the third quarter, Jared Goffe at
(13:47):
this point thirteen of fifteen and they handed to Jamior Gibbs,
you rushes straight up the middle for a touchdown. Like
if you can't bet against this team when they're playing
outside anymore, they just may be the greatest team in
NFL history. That's that's the only thing we can say.

No that I mean, we joked at the beginning of the
year that this team the Saints were like the new
greatest show on turf. We all know that this Lions
team is that team, right. They're this juggernaut offensively and
in a game like today, their defense can now show up.
Speaker 2 (14:25):

That's why we said they aiden Hudchson was such a
big loss because it's like they finally have a pretty
good complete defense, and you know, that was that was
a huge deal to their team. So yeah, I can't
believe it, like that was such a good number. That
guy dropping that touchdown. That's gonna halt me for the
next like night, I'm trying to get I'm gonna hopefully
get over it by Tuesday show.

But that's just those are the.

Ones that just you know, they're just brutal because you
bet heavy on a number and you have a great
number and you're feeling confident in all week, and it's like,
you know, you see the plays in your mind that
can make the difference, and they didn't happen. And that's
unfortunately part of sports betting.

For better is like these are the nuances that matter.
By the way, Seahawks just gained another first down, back
to back touchdowns in the afternoon games, we needed the
Rams and the Packers with less than a minute left
in the first half. That was excruciating. Unlike Fluke plays,
those are those are the moments you don't forget that

just haunt you. I just want to remind you the
Rams dropped an interception that could have ended this game. Yep,
it was in his hands and he dropped it, and now.

They were dominating this whole game.

I just can't get over the fact they give the
thirteen points in that last minute of the first half.
It's just it's on the coach and you want to
blame the players. That's just that's that's on the coaching
like that that to make those kind of mistakes defensively
is just brutal.

Are listen the game that may have saved our season
today not to be a dramatic New England Patriots at
Tennessee Titans, a day saving miracle from a rookie QB
coming off of a concussion on the road. Yeah, this

is when betting makes the least sense. We had New
England plus three and a half at Tennessee and the
first half was like full of all the missed opportunities
that usually goal dooing bad teams like we had the
miss field goal, they got to pick in their end
zone in the Titans in in their end zone, couldn't
convert it into a touchdown. They actually fumbled on the

first play of the second half but recovered it and
then they went on a sixteen play drive to take
the lead. Looked amazing. The Titans tied it Drake me
fumbles deep in his end zone.

I was screaming, like I was like a lily cursing

love and I bet it. You could have talked me
out of it this morning because I just saw before
we hopped on a call. I was like, Wow, all
the money is coming so heavy on this Patriots team.
It's still three and a half. So we definitely got
lucky on the May play. But that was also a

a half.

We got very lucky. I never really thought about talking
you out of it. I will tell you. As we're
still waiting for this Rams and Seahawks game to end,
the one game I want to pick a knit is
the Chargers. I felt like the Chargers might have been

one of my best handicaps of the season. I had
this team nailed, and when we talked about it during
the week, betting is riding the wave and betting is
getting off the wave, and we were together, I thought
in getting off the jamis wave, like we didn't believe.

that's that's a playoff team. Win They they went in

want to give ship to uh Jamis and the Browns,
that they just played a team that just seemed better
and more prepared, right, And you know, like you said,

that was a good call by you that would be
a letdown spot, but it's yeah, it's a game that
I I honestly, I had a little bit bet on
the Browns. I threw them on our money line around
Robin part and yeah, I definitely missed the mark on
that one.

Just think if we had taken the Saints out instead
of the Chargers, we'd be sitting here at three and
two on the day instead of two and three.

No, A, yeah, No, there's a couple of bad ones.

I mean the one that really sticks stuck out was
like I don't know how we both got sucked back
into Dallas Like I was on Atlanta, I know, been
Atlanta minus two and a half, and then once I
got to three and a half Dallas, it was like, Okay,
this is too much.

The value shifted a three and a half of this
Dallas team and it's like, no, that was properly numbered.
That was that was a bad read.

So yeah, this week I feel luckier in our senior
two and three because it could have been easily zero
and five. But I told you before the show, I'm
I'm selfish. I feel like we should have been four
and one. Sou of all the games that the worst
bet to me was that, like you just said, that Saints.

still feels really high to me. You're still getting the

I don't I don't hate it, like I don't mind
bending it right now if you want to. But I
think we saw a little bit of what this Denver
team can be right today against this Ravens team. That
they are young, they are in experience, they have been
playing some bad teams, and it seems like what.

Things are going good. They're able to beat up on
these bad teams.

But I wouldn't rush the better because if if, if
the Chiefs roll, if they absolutely roll the Bucks tomorrow,
you might be able to get ten.

Than us coming back on this this Buccaneers team, right,
I mean, the public is going to be totally off

that is the perfect smash spot for this Steelers defense.

But like I get if you were gonna be pisseding
me because I was so high on the Giants team
because it was the same thing last year where it

Team is much better than that Giants team, and defensively
there are ways they can attack this Washing team that's
gonna give them problems. But I'm not gonna lie to
Chad Jaden Daniels a scary man, Like I thought today
he wouldn't play that well and he just had a
couple of moments that are just so it's just so
incredible that we're, like you just said, we're into week

nine here and he's still playing at this veteran high level,
Like he hasn't hit that rookie wall like you saw.
You watch a lot of the bear say of Kayler Williams.
He's incredibly talented kid, but there's moments where he looks
like a rookie that is normal, that should be happening
to a rookie, and the kid Jane Daniels doesn't have
these moments like he breaks a lot of the rules.

I'll be honest, and I know that I wouldn't be
praising him as hard as I would be if we
got that two pointer and got the cover. But they're
about to walk in for another touchdown end of that game.
This easy come in a double digital blowout by Washington
if they had chose so.

we also loved the Packers at Packers at three and

a half. We had it locked in Thursday. By Sunday
it was two and a half. We decided not to
change anything because we wanted to keep the Packers line.
And thank god, because our favorites the Buffalo Bills minus six,
the New Orleans Saints minus seven and a half, They
should have won both of those games by thirty. It

will be interesting to see what Nick Giffen's expected scores
for those games should have been, because it's tragic they
didn't dominate those games. The Patriots got all the bounces
we hadn't gotten all season, thank god. All right, Geno
just threw a short pass out of bounds because no

one can tackle. Thank god for the Patriots today. I
feel like, because we've got this game sort of, it's
hard to get into the games right now. What you
know what we should do. Let's talk about this game

for a second, because to me, while we're watching this game,
we're going to jump ahead to the Rams.

Fourth a half, fourth and five now, so this might
be over in literally thirty seconds hopefully.

All Right, you're a little bit ahead of me, so great,
but let's talk about this one anyways. To me, like
the key moment was the end of the first half.
Like in the red zone, Stanford nearly throws a pick
the first time in the red zone all game. This
was a red zone liss game until nearly the end
of first half. He nearly throws a pick on one

play a bad incompletion than a fumbled snap.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
This ain't over. Unfortunately, this is an ugly game.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
This is a true divisional game right here. Let's jump
the other games just code. We might have to come
back to this one.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Anyway, all right, So Miami Buffalo. We'll start back at
the beginning. The Bills driving in the red zone Miami
like it had been a pretty close game. Early in
the second quarter, Josh Allen hits key on Coleman on
a slant two yard line. Coleman bobbles, the ball bounces
into Jalen Ramsey's hands. The Fins then go on a
(06:17):
fifteen play, eight minute drive to score a touchdown, and
that sort of let them find their rhythm, and the
Bills couldn't ever get ahead in the way that they
really needed to cover a six point number. Doesn't help
that they missed an extra point and then nearly missed
another extra point, and when they finally get the lead
(06:37):
of seven points midway through the fourth, they then let
Miami go eleven plays in five minutes and only got
him to third down once on that final drive. What
happened here, it was.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
A bunch of stuff. I mean, obviously you just talked about.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Though they came out to slopy offensively, right, they couldn't
really finish drives, put drives together, pick the field goal
to start the game. But I mean we talked a
little before he came on. I just think that penalty
in the first half, they score Josh Allen amazing rushing
touchdown and they call it back on a fantin and
holding call, and that kind of right there. When we bet,
we talk all the time you bet big favorites like

this that four points is gonna matter.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
They kicked up a three there instead of getting the four,
and that.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Really did dictate the second half, where you know, that
would have been a different game. If they're up eleven
on that Miami team, they could play that different defensive instead,
like you said, they're only up seven, so Miami could
still run the ball, and that was the key to
them in this game. I mean, h Chan dominated this
game against them, and.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
We got lucky.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
They gave a couple of touches to most a Moster
got uh you know, stripped, stripped from the ball. I
think someone punched it out and it was like, Okay,
that's what we needed for our Buffalo bet. But yeah,
that they had a chance to win it. I think
I think it was fourth down two on that final
drive by Miami. They picked it up and getting that touchdown.
Like you said, it's it's a dead bet, especially at

the number we bet it. So that's that's life and
your I had these big favorites.

I will say that I still would have bet the Bills.
They were our favorite bet all week. It was.

always talked about the bounces, little things didn't go away,
and the same thing happened this Bills game where you
know that Josh Allen pick not his fault, stupid play

New Orleans a Carolina Carolina minus seven and a half.
Remember when I said on Thursday we were leaning towards leaning,
we were leaning towards betting. The worst QB against the
spread in the past twenty years and the worst coach
against the spread in the past twenty years, Why do
we think it was a good idea to bet the Saints.

I can't really hate it. I like the panther strade DATAE. Johnson, like,
they're just they had a bunch of injuries. They still
have a bunch of injuries to their team.

Losing Alive they killed us, like Derek Carr.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Losing the number one, number two receiver because she Sheid
has been out for a couple of weeks. Now, it's
we saw it like it was tough for them to
keep a lead, and then when Alive went out, that
team just seems shook from that whole thing of this
guy getting knocked.

And I'm with you, like, normally we're on the other
side of that one. I did feel pretty good though,
once the game started. I was like, thank god we
took the Saints too. They're gonna roll this team. But yeah,
that was that was a bad bet. Saints outdoors Divisional
game usually ru on the other side of that one,
So yeah, I definitely regretted it.

Well, it wasn't even a lot of like it was
the first two drives they couldn't get into the end zone,
you know they were Yeah, they kicked field goals, like
you get in the end zone on those two and
you're having a different conversation. And then Bryce Young didn't
even do a sort of stupid Bryce Young stuff where
he always sort of throws an interception. Yeah, a good game,

about the last one we've lost, at least officially so
far today, which is Green Bay. Man. This one, this
one hurts a lot. Yeah, because this is the game
that set the tone for our week and the tone

for our day. We were so ready to fade a
peak Lions team outside in terrible weather for the first time,
first game outside all year, and like initially it looked
like the Packers should have been able to run all

over them and the Lions. We've been talking all year
how the reason we're betting the Lions isn't because of
the fireworks of their offensive scheme. It's only because their
offensive line is so freaking good. It's kind of what
we saw today, Like in the rain, in the muck,
in the wind, their offensive Line overpowered the Packers. Their
