You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Live in Los Angeles on a Friday hour two. Great
to be in Shady McCoy, who was great in snow games.
I'm gonna talk about Saquon Barkley. He knows Rex Ryan
very well. Shady's gonna be great today. Don't go anywhere, Jmac.
The dogs are barking this week in the Blazing five

(00:50):
a lot. You know, I as a rule I like underdogs,
but star quarterbacks and double digit favorites have done well
this year. I did not take the Chiefs as a
double digit favorite. I stayed away. This is my favorite
underdog weekend of the year. In the weather, it gets crappy,
scores come down a little bit. Teams like Cleveland feel

(01:13):
it's their last shot. San Francisco this is the season.
So you get these teams that are this is the
season for like average teams who think they're good. You're
gonna get a good effort from underdogs this week.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
The biggest practice report to watch today is brock Purty
with the Niners.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Given what went down yesterday, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Here we go. It's our blazing five.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Let's blaze it up. Fired up, It's Collins blazon fuck
Lions in court.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
I'm calling for an upset.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I'm gonna take the Colts plus seven and a half
to upset at home. The Detroit Lions step up in
competition off a blowout win. Looking ahead to that game
against the Bears in Division on Thanksgiving. Anthony Richardson has
won four of his last five starts and played his
best game as a pro against the Jets long drives

(02:02):
throwing the ball down field. This is a Detroit pass
defense that can be susceptible, and they don't have the
pass rush they had earlier in the season. Anthony Richardson
has won four or five starts. This team has had
an NFL high six games decided by three or less.
The Colts play close games. Upset Colts twenty eight, Lions

(02:26):
twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Patriots said Dolphins.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Like Miami to win.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I'm gonna take New England in a rivalry game, plus
the seven and a half, Drake may pretty good last
four games.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
This team is two and two.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Gerrod Mayo has him playing great defense, number five scoring
defense in the league.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Over the last three games.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
And the Dolphins, let's be honest, they've been playing better,
but their wins have come against the Raiders, the Patriots,
the Jaguars. I thought Drake May last week step up
in class against a very young but very good Rams defense,
played very good football. I think it's a close divisional game.
I see a Miami team that's got better players, but

(03:09):
seven and a half, I'm taking the hook. Miami wins
twenty eight twenty four. Patriots cover forty nine Ers at Packers. Okay,
I'm gonna assume brock Perty's gonna play and I'm gonna
take the Niners plus three in their final big game
of the year. Here's why they're three to one this year.
Following a loss, their offense is still top five in
the league in yards per game and third down percentage

(03:31):
this year. Christian McCaffrey's given you one hundred plus yards.
George Kittle comes back. The Packers needed a block field
goal in the last play to beat the Bears. They
were outplayed. They were two and three. Are the Packers
against winning teams and Jordan Love has had at least
one interception in nine games. They're getting a little sloppy.
They're getting loose. They're still a young team. They were

(03:53):
outplayed by the Bears, and I feel like this is
the season for the San francisc nine Ers. I'm taking
the field goal. The Niners win twenty eight to twenty four.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Cardinals at Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
One of these teams has an identity one dozen't. I
like Arizona plus one. They know what they are. They're
playing great defense. They're averaging twenty seven a game almost
in this four game winning streak, or excuse me, they've
won four straight and five to six, and they're playing
really good offensive football, number five rushing offense in the league.
So it's not all Kyler Murray. They are a physical,

(04:30):
tough running team. And the Seahawks are on a four
game home losing streak. They have no identity. What is Seattle.
I feel like I get Arizona and a point to
the better team. I think they may have the better coach,
they have the better defense, they have the better quarterback.
And again, I like teams that have an identity. I
think Arizona's drown into they know what they are. They
are a very good run team that plays very good defense.

(04:54):
Oh yeah, they have a star quarterback. I think Arizona
wins could be comfortably thirty twenty four. I really like
this team and they're fun to watch. Arizona will take
by six.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Eagles in RAM.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I don't get the line. Philadelphia has got a much
better roster. I'm gonna take the Eagles minus two and
a half. It's my one favorite pick this week, coming
off extra rest. By the way, they are six and
oho since they're a week five by in that time,
Jalen Hurts leads the NFL with seventeen total touchdowns. Saquon
Barkley in that time leads the NFL in rushing. AJ
Brown rank seven second in receiving yards this team, since

(05:28):
the buye is dominant, they are pushing people around. The
Rams continue. It's been a year long issue. It's why
they're gonna draft an offensive tackle or three in the draft.
The Rams are beat up at both tackle spots. We
saw last week against New England. They didn't get a
lot of push they can be hot and cold offensively.
I like their defense in LA, but it's young. It's

(05:49):
a year away from being great. I'm taking the better roster,
the hotter team with more star power. I like Philadelphia
twenty eight to twenty one. I'm gonna lay the two
and a half points. It's my blazing five jmack anything,
four dogs and one Philadelphia Eagle favorite.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
This is this is.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Your riskiest card of the season. But I do I
do think one of them for sure will be in
headlines at the end of the show.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
You think that's a risky card.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah, Hey, one of us lives on the edge four
road teams. I get the better quarterback in most of
my games.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
You notice that Anthony Richardson here, Hey, I'm calling it
up side. I know you don't like that.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
I like it, Butts.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Let's bring on Lashawn McCoy, two times Super Bowl champ
at the facility. Oh in the facility, is joining us
here in studio today. Okay, Well, first of all, I
want to talk about the snow loss. So we said
this Mike Tomlin for whatever reasons, great on Sunday, unbelievable
on Monday, not great on Thursday. They didn't feel really
buttoned up. And I've said I'd make Mike Tomlin my

(06:56):
coach of the Year and Sean Payton runner up. But
I felt like they're playing justin fields. They have the
better team, that were good on third down? Why is
justin getting six to seven snaps they wasted two timeouts.
I kind of felt like the better team lost.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
Yeah, for sure, I think the Stills are definitely a
better team than the Browns. But like I was telling people, man,
it's such a hard game to pick just because yes,
the Schiller should win. Yes, better team, all that, better quarterback,
better coach, But divisional games are like that. And another
thing is the Steelers just played the Ravens. That's always
a physical game. So this Sometimes we'll play a team

(07:32):
and I don't know, you won't be as sore that week,
but the Ravens and Steelers, you're always gonna be sore.
And it's a Thursday game, right, So it's like everything
had to happen for the Browns to win, and it happened,
you know, But I don't make.

Speaker 7 (07:44):
A big deal about it.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
I think that There's Stills are still a really really
good team in the AFC. I think the weather a
little helped out a little bit at home and et cetera.
And another thing is like, even though the Stills were a
better team and the Browns weren't, and divisional games, you
find something to play hard for. Right, look at MOUs Garrett.
They do not have anything to play for, really, but
he found something. Oh so you guys see there's a
better defender in my division. Oh we played on Thursday

(08:06):
night when everybody's watching on TV, and he showed up
and you could tell.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
That something to him.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
After the game, he talked about it and that's the
reason why he played like a mad man. He's a
really a good player, but you give him just a
little bit more motivation and he gave you that.

Speaker 8 (08:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Well, you play in division games, you play teams more often.
There's less secrets, there's less it's kind.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Of twice a year.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Mano Amano. By the way, you played in Snow, and
you played very well in Snow. So I thought they
were bringing in justin fields because with bad footing. I'm like, oh,
like he Mike Tomlin said that's not the case. But
we have some video of you in Snow.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Did you like it?

Speaker 7 (08:38):
I loved it?

Speaker 6 (08:39):
The best part is like the guys don't hit you
as hard the defense. They're kind of reduced speed, right,
they are the big guys, and then when they attack you,
it was like falling on pillows.

Speaker 7 (08:47):
So wasn't that bad man?

Speaker 5 (08:50):
That's funny.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
So Saquon Barkley Woo by the way, I love your
picks though, Blazing five loved that.

Speaker 7 (08:58):
The Eagles I like that one.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, they're good. So Saquon was always good. But there
is something to be said about when you put him
with Jalen, So you got to be honest with Jalen.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
You put him with a better O line, you.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Put him with star receivers so a safety can't sneak
down in the box. It's almost like he was underrated
going to the Eagles, because I feel like now, I
mean when I watch him play now, there's been three
or four running backs, Zeke Early, Adrian Peterson, Shady. There's
about five of you guys where you're like, oh that

(09:33):
you know, that's that's even better than a guy I
like Joe Mixon. I'm watching Saquon now, and I think
the Giants didn't realize they didn't have a receiver so
you could cheat.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
In the box.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
They had a bad offensive line. When you put elements
around Barkley, dude, he is man. He is best of class.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
One of my best friends, Frank Gore, we always talked
about the running backs and when we get the Saquon right,
and this is when he's with the Giants, he is
so guy. I get the talented man that you give
him a relieve with the go offens line. I think
the Eagles office line is probably top three in the league. Sure,
maybe the Lions first or or but the Eagles or second,
however you want.

Speaker 7 (10:09):
To cut it. But now you give him one one opportunities.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
I mean there's times where he has big holes and
then he's one on one with these safeties. They're not
gonna touch him. He's super fast, he's super explosive. It
makes the first guy a lot of times the second
guy missed. And he's that good. You bring him to
our team right, and then now it's like he's back
to playing meaningful games again. He's back to having fun again.
He talked about these things. And then look at the
wide receivers.

Speaker 7 (10:31):
We have A J. Brown is probably I don't know,
top three in the league.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Is good.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
They help, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
Because now it's like, how do you really gain playing
for the Eagles.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
I'll give you example.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
So before the bye, now he was having a tremendous
year already, but before the buye we were throwing the
ball at thirty some times the game. Now you say,
you know what, we don't need to do that, right,
we know Jyllens hurts his good quarterback and he's getting paid.
Let's take it back a little bit. Let's go through Saquon.
Give him twenty some touches the game. Right, you have
maybe eight to nine, maybe ten targets something like that
for aj Brown, Schmittie gets a lot of some seconder targets.

(11:04):
And now we have a whole offense and that's winning football, right,
And if we could be even more efficient in the
passing game, we'll be even Betterquon is at a guy
like that to a team.

Speaker 7 (11:14):
And it only just does well for the offense.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
What about the defense, Like we had on the facility,
We had Darius slay On there and he said, we
don't even call Saquonaquon.

Speaker 7 (11:23):
We call him Superman. Right.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
The defense knows, yo, we get him the ball back,
he's gonna seal the game away and you see a
lot of these fourth quarter games where Saquon is selling
the game away.

Speaker 7 (11:32):
So I'm so happy that the Giants gave a Saquon.
I mean it was a blessing in disguise.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Okay, So you know Rex Ryan, Okay, very well? Okay,
so let's talk about your knowledge of Rex Ryan how well?

Speaker 7 (11:48):
First of all, No, Rex, very very well. Play with
him in Buffalo.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
He is the only coach in history, right that I
shared a hot talk with during practice.

Speaker 7 (11:58):
That's funny, right, Like I never you know, had co
the shower jumped.

Speaker 6 (12:00):
In, whats going on everything? How's everything going on in
Good Parks today? Hey, coach, what's going on? But now
Rex is a tremendous coach. I think it would be
great for the Jets because he believes that he's part
of that Jets franchise.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
No, he feels like a Jet. Yeah, and it's like
he cares.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
I think they keep going and getting these different coaches
and trying to make a splash. He is a New
York Jet guy, and I think with a veteran team,
he is phenomenal with players that want to want to
play for Rex. I've been there with him in Buffalo.
I wanted to play for Jefs. He was a hell
of a coach, super smart.

Speaker 7 (12:29):
Off on defense.

Speaker 6 (12:30):
They're gonna be locked in for sure right now. He
probably has to go out there and get a nice
offensive of coordinator, you know.

Speaker 7 (12:36):
But them players will play for Rex.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Okay, so let's play the tape because we're not just
making this up. Rex wants the job.

Speaker 8 (12:41):
Listen, there's way too much talent on this team to
play the way we've been playing, period. And how hard
can can you get a guy to play? That's the thing,
Like nobody's seen the team gonna play the way as
hard as this team's gonna play in the future. Trust me.
If I'm the guy, trust me, and that's gonna be it.
That's what's gonna separate me from all these other guys
you're gonna bring in, you know, your grudens or whoever, whatever.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Give me a break.

Speaker 7 (13:05):
They ain't New York Jets.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
I'm all about the.

Speaker 7 (13:07):
Jets, you know.

Speaker 6 (13:08):
I like about that though, because see come on, Jay,
come on seriously.

Speaker 7 (13:12):
Though. The one thing about Rex is he's not gonna
do all this.

Speaker 6 (13:15):
He's not a pushover. I don't care who the player is.
They could be Tom Brady. What maybe Tom who listen
to time, But I got like Aaron Rodgers, He's not
gonna let him just yo, we want this player. I
want this player. I want this guy. I want this guy.
I want this coach. I might not want to do
oas I got going to retreat. He ain't going for
all that. He's gonna make everybody accountable. And that's what
makes Rex Ryan different a lot of I feel like
a lot of coaches. When I moved on from Andy

(13:36):
Reid and I was like a name, right, the coaches
didn't really coach me the same. They would like talk
to the backup to talk to me. Rex is not
gonna do that. Rex is gonna let you know what
it is right there. And I think that's what the
just any more accountability, too much talent.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
On that team for the be playing like that.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
No, no, no, they come on, no, there's there's there's players.
That's yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
So I said that if Shader Sanders is number one,
and I think he will, I could see Dion saying
it's my son Travis Hunter Shadour Sanders. And I also
think the only way. In fact, I've made the argument
that Dallas the only way to get out of this

(14:21):
mess because Philadelphia is stacked, Detroit is stacked. Green Bay's good,
I mean Rams are good. They need another draft class.
Kansas City, Buffalo if you're talking about trophies, Dallas a
mile away, and I have said I'd give up Micah
three first round picks, two maybe three to get a Shaduur,
But I would also get coach Prime because I do
think players would want to play for him. We're watching

(14:42):
high school kids who never saw him play man course,
twenty eight, twenty nine year old NFL guys would be
like yet not a I mean, seventeen year olds want
to play with him. Why wouldn't a twenty seven year
old want to play with him? Do you think the
prime to the Cowboys is audacious or do you buy it?

Speaker 7 (14:58):
I buy it.

Speaker 6 (14:59):
I think that would be the best landing spot for
coach ponm Is for the Cowboys for a couple different reasons.
First of all, I don't know if you guys ever
went to a Colorado game lately, but if the place
is booming right and he's a big reason why that
is before he got there, I'm gonna take you even
back before that Jackson State, they weren't a winning program.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
He came there immediately, immediately in.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
One last year with Buffalo or with the with the
Colorado Buffaloes, he said, get me now, this is the
worst will ever be. He had to get this coaches
in there, he had to get some more players in there,
and now look at him. They're what tied for first
in the Big Twelve, potentially could be in the playoffs.
All he does is changed everywhere he plays at really
good coach. The one thing I think about him is

(15:39):
like a guy like Andy Ree would makes him so special.
Everybody's gonna tell you about the x's and o's, which
he is the best at that, but he can relate
to these players. He makes everybody don't care what your
back on is, what your race is, whatever you believe in.
He makes everybody love being part of the team as
a family. Andyree can adjust. He's been in so many
different areas of football, but he can adjust.

Speaker 7 (15:58):
That's who.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
That's who down Sanders is down Stairs are type of
player or coaches that any player come to him.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
But any different thing.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
Right we talk about the Cowboys maybe not going out
there and getting different fregencies or not getting this player
and getting that player, you know, I.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
Mean, players will die to play for coach Prime.

Speaker 6 (16:13):
There's so many players right now trying to emulate him
as a player, right is Deon Sanders here, So I
think Cowboys need that excitement and they need somebody that
they can, you know, like respect and listen to. Not
the same thing about Mike McCarthy, but I think the
message come from down Sanders.

Speaker 7 (16:30):
Everybody's gonna be in tune in that.

Speaker 6 (16:32):
And the biggest part is Jerry Jones, the excuse that
EVERYBRA has as well. Jerry won't let you know, the
coaches coach the way they want to. You think Jerry
gonna tell Deon Samers how to coach his team.

Speaker 7 (16:43):
No, he's not. He played for.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Him, so he knows what type of guy he is,
right and you see his resume. All he does is win.
I think every player in NFL would love to play
for the Cowboys if Deon Sanders came to that team.
And then you bring his son on board, who's been
a baller ever since high school college.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
Now it's gonna be a top you know pros back
in the NFL draft.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Yeah, no, I buy into it.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
I think you know, it's funny When Dan Campbell came in,
everybody's like he's too much of a player, and it's like, no,
it works. And Mike Vrabel, well, he's a player and
it works. And Mike Tomlin feels like he played five
years ago and it works. And I think as players
are more empowered and the NFL gets younger, I'm not
saying old guys can't work. I mean, I Pete Carroll

(17:23):
to the end was good, Belichick was good, Andy Reid's great,
Sean Payton's older very good. I'm not saying you can't
do it that way, but I'm willing to take some
risks now on former players like Dan Campbell and Dion
I'm willing to do that because I think there is
something about in the NFL the margins.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
If if you have a good quarterback, you're gonna win.
If you don't, you gonna lose.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Of course, so when you play these teams that have
a good quarterback and you have a good quarterback, the
margins are tiny, and a lot of times it's just
getting guys in an extended season to play hard.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
The margins.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
If you both have good quarterbacks, the game's come down
to a play, a fumble, a fourth down. Yeah, and
Dion is inspiring people. Dan Campbell isn't a wizard with
axes and spires people, Oh, they run through a wall.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
And I think Dion brings that that type of atmosphere
to the Cowboys, right, this lick he's doing in the
other in Colorado, they won one game before he got there.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
I've been to a condor argument.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
Everybody wants to go and that's the thing of being
like a great leader. I remember if Sean mcgermoy coming
to Buffalo and I ain't know what expect because I
had him in Philadelphia was a little more quiet, and
he changed the culture, right, everybody was ballding. I'm talking
about not just the players. I'm talking about the janitors.
I'm talking about the lunch ladies. When you could change
the whole I guess team in franchise, right, that's what

(18:40):
winners do. Kansas City Chiefs, right before any where he
got there, they weren't good. He changed the whole franchise, right,
and that's when you need certain leaders like that. Though,
no matter what, I believe in this guy, and that's
who Deon Sanders is.

Speaker 7 (18:52):
Everybody believes in him.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
It's amazing.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Josh Allen's one of the greatest quarterbacks in Leite history,
just in terms of size and Buffalo one of the
smallest towns when you were there briefly playing with Josh Allen,
he is such a big star. I wonder what it's
like to I wonder what it's like to and they
just beat the Chiefs. What it's like to be Josh Allen,
Brett Farvin, Green Bay, Josh Allen in Buffalo. The type

(19:17):
of does a town protect him?

Speaker 7 (19:20):
Man? I had so I had Johnson. He's a rookie,
so I've seen the beginning of.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
Josh right, so happy, big kid, right, super competitive, and
I remember like my first camp, My yeo, this dude
might not know a lot about ex's and oles because.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
He's a rookie, but man, he's going to be box
office hit.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
He h had that type of talent and as you
see him getting better with better coaching.

Speaker 7 (19:40):
When Brian Devil had him, I mean, he was phenomenal.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
He's a good guy.

Speaker 7 (19:43):
Oh, he's a great dude.

Speaker 6 (19:44):
The best thing about Josh with people don't know because
we can talk about him run over linebackers or throwing
deep touchdowns. He's a competitor and It's like, hey, man,
I don't care who's playing this game with me. I'm
going to find a way to win. He hates to lose, right,
it could.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Be such a great quality.

Speaker 6 (19:58):
All the best have that. Patrick Mahomes I got with him.
I'm like, oh, this dude is a crazy competitor. Tom Brady,
I was with him at forty years old.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
He's still bittery. Got drafted in the sixth round. He said,
I'm saying, Mahomes is still bittery. Was at the number
one peck.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
We played Chicago one game. We beat him, obviously, and
he kept doing like the number counts.

Speaker 7 (20:15):
I'm like, what the hell you doing? You know, I'm nosy,
I say, Pat, what's going on? It was the draft picks.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
They took Trubisky, but that's that's how the greats are wire.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
So he kept making sure the Bears knew y'all remember.

Speaker 7 (20:27):
So all I'm saying is like, dudes, like that's some
Josh Is.

Speaker 6 (20:30):
When I got the Buffalo, it was weird because like
when I moved into a nice little house whatever, and
I had so many neighbors bringing me like, you know,
welcome to Buffalo gifts. So I can only imagine Josh
Allen right now today, he's probably he should go for
Man coffee every day. Tim Horton's that's the big coffee
there every morning's probably getting that up there.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
They're good people, but he deserves it though good people.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
I'll tell you what, if you've never been to Buffalo,
you need to go Man because you you would see
like a community.

Speaker 7 (20:57):
They really loved their team.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
My wife used to have to go to several cities
in the country, northern cities. Hr She said, Buffalo has
the most honest, nicest people in the country for sure.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
I was talked about what it was, snow so bad
before I even go outside, they will already shove on
the snow.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
I'm like, these people. God made these people special, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
So, first of all people there was I saw a
survey years ago. I thought this was so funny, and
the survey was what city in the country of size
are people proudest to live in? And you'd think, oh,
Beach in Florida, Yeah, Buffalo number one.

Speaker 7 (21:36):
Yeah, Buffalo and probably Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
You know why, because to live in Buffalo, you choose
to live in Buffalo. It's not because it's a big
corporate hub. Your friends are there, your buddies are there,
you went to high school there, You're proud of your team.
That's why in the in the big picture, the best
Super Bowl this year, honestly is Buffalo against Detroit. It's tied,
they go into overtime, Buffalo wins, and then next year

(22:02):
they meet again and Detroit wins. Because I mean, there's
if there are two franchise you're like, could you give
them a break? Football Gods, Buffalo's one, Detroit's two.

Speaker 7 (22:11):
We can't.

Speaker 6 (22:13):
That would be nice, though, right. I just want the
Chiefs to get it. And I'm an eagle guy obviously.

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Yeah, but you don't. You can't be greedy. The only
thing about the Chiefs is you're shady, not greedy. You
can't be greedy. Repeat that.

Speaker 7 (22:24):
I just feel so good and he redeserves it. Best
coach of all time.

Speaker 5 (22:28):
You were money today you delivered.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Can we show the snow video again? It's like running
on a down comforter.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
I love this setup though, By the way, I'll tell
you that I always tell you this. It's like it's
like my therapy, you know.

Speaker 5 (22:39):
Yeah, I'm your therapist. Come on now, how is your childhood.
Look at this was going on.

Speaker 7 (22:47):
It's like we show eclips. You don't even want to
look at it.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Man, you know, here's what's funny. But you do make
a good point. Nobody's the defensive. Guys aren't going fast
enough to hurt you.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
It's just it's just and.

Speaker 7 (22:57):
We had a dominant sewer hair.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
So I remember he's slammed me, so aren't at the ground,
and as he's picking me up, I'm thinking about.

Speaker 7 (23:02):
Her, like, oh my god's gonna hurt.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
And as I'm going down, boom, Oh my god, that
was nothing and it was so much snow, so none
of the HiT's even.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
Hurt falling on pillows. Good see anybody?

Speaker 7 (23:13):
Oh great? Great saying you guys.

Speaker 2 (23:14):

Speaker 1 (23:24):
By the way, that Lane Kiffin stuff we talked about yesterday,
so everybody is talking about everybody is talking about Dion
Sanders to the Cowboys. But I just want to remind
you Lane Kiffin has been a head coach. Okay, Pete
Carroll's first couple of jobs in the NFL didn't work.
He went to college, went back to the NFL, got

(23:45):
the right quarterback, and got to two Super Bowls. Be
careful about making a sweeping judgment. If you look at
most NFL coaches that get a second shot, they often
do better. Raheem Morris looks like he's got his legs
under him.

Speaker 7 (23:57):
Now.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
I'm gonna tell you. Lane Kiffin was an NFL coach.
He's been an NFL head coach. You know what happened
to him in Oakland. Al Davis demanded he date JaMarcus Russell.
He pled, He pled with Al Davis, do not draft
JaMarcus Russell.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
He didn't want to do it.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
He got stuck with it, you know, just like the owners,
sort of like Daniel Jones, Brian Dabole gets stuck with it.
But Lane Kiffin's an offensive coach second time around. His
dad was in the league. He knows the culture. I
asked Lane yesterday about because I think he'll be after
primetime if he goes to Dallas. I think Lane Kiffin
is the number one offensive coach available. Also, Jackson dartis

(24:37):
quarterback senior. This team has got a last dance feel
to it. Right, like, it's a lot of guys going
to the NFL. If you're going to break clean of
old miss after this season, now is the time. And
I asked Lane about a move potentially to the NFL.

Speaker 9 (24:52):
The way to build college teams that am now has
become like the NFL from evaluation, obviously paying players, putting
together your roster, but you still have the really neat
college elements of the fans and the passion. The thing
that I don't like about the NFL. When you win,
you kind of get punished to draft last. When you
win more in college, you're able to go get better

(25:14):
players because now they see, man, I can go there
and win championship. I can go there and meet Georgia.
So we've spent a lot of time to get it
up to this place. That wouldn't make a whole lot
of sense to me.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Okay, but I'll say this, The Raiders when Lane was there,
were easily the most dysfunctional team in the league.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
With old Al Davis. He didn't want JaMarcus Russell. That
wasn't his vision.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
So he goes to College USC which has been dysfunctional
for years and years at the time, they athletic department
football program. You know, a little wonky wasn't didn't have
their feet under It didn't work, and he was very
very young, but then he redeemed himself at a small college.
Old miss. A guy can coach. He's an offensive coach.
He has a vision. Caleb Williams, Lane Keffen. I'm just

(25:58):
telling you, Caleb Williams, Lane Kiffin, you can do worse.
You think our nuts. I mean, Belichick looked tone af
to offense last time he coached. Okay, like like these
old guys with all the trophies, be careful, be careful.
Lane wouldn't want personnel decisions. Lane wouldn't be a disruptor

(26:20):
in the front office. Come in identity plan, go j
Mack with a.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
News no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
This is then he gets the NFL because his dad was,
you know, a legendary assistant defensive coordinator. So his dad
knows the league. He was around NFL practice as a kid,
and he was a head coach. He just had the
most dysfunctional franchise in the league when he was there.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Yeah, I'm trying to think of a what blueprint he's
followed because he was so young, right going to the NFL.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
He was like Sean, like a cocky Sean McVay, this
offensive wizard. Somebody rolled the dice on, very very confident.
You know, lacks some self awareness early in his career,
as we all do. Yeah, and but I but I
think right now you can't deny what he has done
at Old Miss. I mean they're the only team in
the country top five offense and defense.

Speaker 7 (27:07):
Ole Miss.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, very good program.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
All right, let's get to the NFL and talk about
this Dallas Washington game. So the rivalry got a little
more familiar after the Commanders hired Dan Quinn this passed
off season to be their head coach. Before the season,
Quinn was the only defensive coordinator Micah Parsons had played under.
Parsons says Quinn's been hitting him.

Speaker 10 (27:26):
Up more frequently recent Makeshawn get in my head a
little bit, you know what I say. He's always about
his guys, and that's my guy. So you know it's
gonna be fun playing against him. I know you're gonna
have them rallied up. He probably gonna say a shark week,
it's fight night. We gotta go to round twelve. We
gotta knock him out. Robbery game. I know it's old spill.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
Yeah right now.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Cooper Rush starting for the Cowboys. Dan Quinn saw him
in practice for many years. Darren Dallas, here's a big spread.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
This was the There was a lot of games I
like this week. I think Broncos Raiders, keep your eye
on Denver in that game. Commanders, keep your eye on
that game. This is a very very rare year. Double
digit favorites are winning.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
I think they're five to zero against the spread.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Yeah, yeah, that's unheard of.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
It.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
You have to go back to like the sixties.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
The problem with me fully unloading like the Kid's four
a one K fund is this is a divisional matchup.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
You got to be careful with those the familiar year.

Speaker 5 (28:25):
So we saw it last night.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
And by the way, it's these divisional matchups, like I
think Miami's better than New England, but these teas, these
games really matter, and New England tends to stay close
and New England's getting better.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
So it's like, I.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Think Miami's better than New England. But the hook seven
and a half not doing it.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
Last night.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
The bet was knew. We didn't talk about it, but
the bet was Cleveland last night. Yeah, I mean Tomlin
was terrible on Thursday. They're not a great favorite, They're
a better underdog. They just come off the Baltimore game
last night was your classic take the dog.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Yeah, they dominated most of that game.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Next up is Denny Richard sid boy.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
What a great week last week against the Jets, game
winning touchdown drive, and he had been benched like less
than a month ago. Lions head coach Dan Campbell says
he sees something different in the way the Colts are
handling Richardson after that Jets game.

Speaker 11 (29:15):
I think what you saw was was last week really
at his best. I'm not even sure you can go
back to early in the year because I feel like
they've taken the handcuffs off of him and allowed him
to just go. And I think it's, you know, there's
a lot of things to where you know, you got
to be careful. That's your guy. You run him too much,
he gets hit, he gets injured, he gets and I

(29:38):
think now it's you know, all bets are off and
we got to get first downs, we got to score touchdowns,
and you got to lead us to it.

Speaker 7 (29:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
I think I think he's right.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
When I watched him last week, it was like They're
just letting him do what he's got to do. In fact,
I would argue last week I didn't think the Colts
ran the ball enough with him. I thought I thought
Shane was a little protective of him. I thought he
threw a great ball. I thought he listen And ideally
he would have sat his first year, he wouldn't have played.
He only played thirteen college games. But they had to
play him. And so you roll the dice on this stuff.

(30:08):
But I'm telling you last week watching him, you saw
it all. You saw the movement, the size, the arm.
He was looking to second receivers. I was like, Okay,
sometimes you gotta get, you gotta.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Set for a couple of weeks, how much of that
was the Jets defense looking like they quit?

Speaker 4 (30:22):
Because since Sala left.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
We know that last year Sala was coaching him up
down the stretch with Zach Wilson.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
That defense never quit.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
De Froyd's past defense can be susceptible.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Also true. I think we're gonna be talking about this
game a headline.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
This is my favorite game of the week to bet
second favorite Philadelphia by Philadelphia.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
I like, I like Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
You a big on the quarterbacks and you know, Jared
Goff and Anthony Richardson is a it's not quite Patrick
Mahomes versus Bryce Young, but it's in the stratus that's
a big mismatch. And the final story Colins is Thanksgiving
dinner might feel a little interesting. Around the Harbaugh house,
brothers John and Jim will coach against each other on Monday.
Can't wait for this game. Harror Bowls should be good.

(31:06):
Big brother John is two and zero against little brother
Jim all time, and one of those was in Super
Bowl forty seven.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
But Jim said the game is not all about the coaches.

Speaker 12 (31:16):
Sure, he doesn't want to make it about him. I
don't want to make it about me. I mean it's
it is what it is, you know too, A big
game for sure, and uh, you know, two teams haven't
had it.

Speaker 7 (31:27):
That was tough. It was tough.

Speaker 12 (31:29):
But after some time and reflection went by, you know,
it's my brother, it's my best friend. Really proud of him,
really happy for his success. I mean it was it
was earned.

Speaker 5 (31:44):
I don't think. I don't. My take is Harbaugh really
doesn't like playing his brother. I don't think he does.
I think it's a very close. I don't think he
either likes to play their brother.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Well, yeah, this was a game. I came very close
to taking the Chargers in this game. I came very
close to this game. But I just thought Baltimore lamar.
They came off. I mean, they give me a good
quarterback and a good coach. They don't lose two in
a row very often. I mean, it's why I like
San Francisco this weekend. They're very good off a loss.

(32:14):
Mcvay's generally good off a loss. So it's like, I
just don't like betting against Baltimore off a loss. And
the Chargers have been playing, They've gotten, they've gotten the
things rolling, they're playing, Well, do they take the foot
off the gas just a little.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
Let me ask you, where did JK. Dobbins play Oho?

Speaker 2 (32:32):
D No?

Speaker 8 (32:33):
No?

Speaker 4 (32:33):
After Aho's day? Who drafted him?

Speaker 5 (32:35):
Is it Baltimore?

Speaker 8 (32:36):
Man?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
What about gust the bus Edwards and that Chargers back there?

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Whered he play last Baltimore?

Speaker 8 (32:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Who's the offensive coordinator of the Chargers, Greg Rowman?

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Where was he last Baltimore?

Speaker 7 (32:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (32:47):
It's almost as if they know the game.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
You don't think Greg Roman's out for revenge here, He's
gonna be dialing up some good stuff.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
Now I'm gonna watch Lad McConkie.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
He missed practice yesterday, but they got Monday Night football,
so maybe it's just a rest day because he got
dinged up, but not Bengals game. But there is a
lot of familiarity with this Chargers team.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
I think I think Edge Charger. I like the Chargers
mess on.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
I'm still thinking about going to it.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
You want to, I'll be there with some buddies.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
No, I'm gonna go sit in a suite. I got
a podcast Coastal Elites.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
I'm getting free food. Yep.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
I have to do a podcast after it.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Oh no, they got to stay up late and do
a podcast.

Speaker 7 (33:27):
Let me listen to this.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Ryan, listen.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
I'm sorry for being salty. We lost the championship game
last night. I'm in a really foul move. It was devastating.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
You came this morning.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
I'm angry.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
I'm sad like it was the most depressing lass I've
ever suffered as an athlete.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
I laugh as an athlete.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
But yet did last night? Was it?

Speaker 3 (33:47):
We led the entire way calling, well, this is a
championship that Thursday night football.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Yes, you're right, that was just a professional football game.
This had meaning culturally. Jmack with the news.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Well that's the news, and thanks for stopping by.

Speaker 1 (34:06):

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Sunday, it's a huge NFL doubleheader on Fox. First, the
Cowboys take on the Commanders or.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Other regional action.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Then in America's Game of the Week, Brock Party and
Christian McCaffrey lead the Niners against Jordan Love and the
Packers or Cardinal Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Check for the games in your area.

Speaker 5 (34:54):
By the way, Niners, Packers, Cardinals, Seahawks. Good late window.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Those are good games, very good games. I like teams
that have an identity, and that team is Arizona. Seattle's talented,
don't know what they are Arizona's talented. They know what
they are. I like Arizona in that game. Okay, Justina
Anderson is saying, for those asking, I'm told the Cowboys
are not currently pursuing quarterback Daniel Jones. Daniel Jones going

(35:17):
to be released by the New York Giants. He was
a reach at Six Day Bowl, showing his coaching acumen
got him to the playoffs and a playoff win. He
will now be one of the better backups in the NFL.
He could be a spot starter. I would look at
a team like an old quarterback, like the La Rams.
They brought Baker in, remember behind Matt Stafford. I could
see the Rams bringing him in. Stetson Bennett hasn't worked

(35:39):
out Garoppolo. They don't really want to play him, so
I could see the Rams saying, hey, we'll take him.
You know there's something there. I think Daniel Jones would
be an elite backup quarterback in this league, like elite
top two or three backup quarterback. Big strong, works hard,
good kid. But I think New York was a tough market.
It should also be noted letting go a sayqu one

(35:59):
On Barkley a killer. His offensive line never great didn't
have an elite receiver until elite Neighbors. So I could
make the argument that Daniel Jones is undervalued because the
only thing he really had there was eventually a left
tackle who got hurt a lot, and an offensive coach
they let go of sa Kwon Barkley. Rest of the
on line was a mess. They never had a number
one receiver, so that he didn't have a lot to

(36:20):
work with there. Now, I don't think he's Jaden Daniels
or bon Nicks, but I would say his size, his
athletic ability. Also, you know he's gonna work his butt
off because he's humiliated by what happened in New York.
I think Daniel Jones was a guy I would have
no problem bringing on the roster and being a great backup.
And if he's got to start three games a year,
could he win two with McVeigh, you know, with Pooka

(36:42):
Nakua and Cooper Cup and Kyron Williams. Absolutely, So I
that was Baker Mayfield. Remember Baker Mayfield went to the Rams,
had about two practices, maybe one or two practices, came
in and played. So I think Daniel Jones as a
backup is excellent, but I don't want to build my
franchise around him. Everybody's got different roles. The NFL schedule
this weekend is interesting. I like underdogs. The reason I

(37:03):
like it this is one of those weekends where if
you lose, you're in big trouble.

Speaker 5 (37:07):
So I've said this before. San Francisco at green Bay.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
If San Francisco loses and goes five and six seasons over,
because then green Bay will be eight and three, Minnesota's
nine and two, Detroit's gonna win that division.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
You're done. NFC.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Nort's gonna have three playoff teams, so that this season,
if brought Perty is healthy, Kittle's coming back, San Francisco
is gonna empty the tank at a turnover prone Jordan
love green Bay Packer offense. I think green Bay is better,
but this weekend, we saw it last night. Pittsburgh's better
than Cleveland, not last night. So I think this is

(37:43):
a weekend where the Niners completely empty the tank. They
get an incredible effort, and that's the kind of weekend
it is. I think, you know, I think Atlanta at Seattle,
They're not, excuse me, Arizona at Seattle. I think Arizona
looks at themselves and thought, Okay, we beat San Francisco
and Santa Clara. This is a franchise defining game. If

(38:05):
Arizona goes up to Seattle on Fox and everybody's doubting Arizona.
Be honest, I like him, but a lot of people
have been ialland it won't last forever. But they went
to Miami and beat the Dolphins and Tua was back,
and then they go to San Francisco before that and
they beat the Niners. If they go up in you
know Seattle, cold Weather is a dome team and beat Seattle,

(38:27):
we all got to now respect Arizona. This is a big,
big game for Kyler Murray in this franchise. The other
game that has got me very interested if bo Nicks
and the Broncos, Jmack and their favor beat the Raiders,

(38:47):
they will have been successive weekends. Out played Mahomes in
Kansas City, hammered a team that's gonna win the NFC
South Atlanta and beating a division rival on the road.
Everybody for this weekend, for the Denver Broncos and the
Arizona Cardinals, it is a hey, everybody, we are for

(39:09):
real weekend can I look at the AFC playoff picture
right now?

Speaker 3 (39:14):
J Max, Well, the pushback would be, you know, did
you see that Atlanta injury report ahead of the Denver game?

Speaker 4 (39:18):
They were beat up and bo Nick's had his way
with them. And now look at the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Both their starting running backs look like they're trending toward
not playing this weekend. Three defensive backs may not play.
Everything's lining up to the Broncos. I don't want to
go overboards.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
Okay, if they win, they're seven and five. You know,
you know who they're in the hunt with a bunch
of four win teams. I don't care whose running backs
are healthy. If Denver wins this weekend and Arizona wins,
Denver's favor by I think six six. It was my
last game. I didn't pick. I got, you know, rival
underdog on the road.

Speaker 5 (39:49):
I stayed away.

Speaker 4 (39:50):
That's fair.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Denver wins at seven and five. Look at these teams,
and the.

Speaker 3 (39:54):
Alls have a tough game against the big underdogs against
the Lions. The Dolphins are underdogs against the I'm sorry,
favored against the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
Dolphin should roll there. Bengal's gonna buye. But the Bengals,
I would just say that both in the hunt the.

Speaker 5 (40:07):
Bengals, what are you gonna sell that bengalstock.

Speaker 4 (40:11):
When they fire the coach, They're not firing the coach. Okay, well, yes,
I'm clean.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Everybody's been saying, yeah whatever with Denver, all bets are off.
If they beat the Raiders after crushing Atlanta, after out
playing Mahomes in Kansas City, all bets are off. They're
a playoff team. They're a good team.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
And then the Broncos would have to go to Buffalo
for a first round matchup, assuming that holds in Buffalo
would beat them the way they beat Mac Jones.

Speaker 5 (40:37):
That when you're who cares? Okay, yeah, bo Nick's first
year makes the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (40:42):
Yeah Mac Jones made the playoffs, didn't he first year?

Speaker 5 (40:44):
You think they're saying you think it's the same guy.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
No, I don't. I'm just saying, like, let's not overreact.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
You're part of they're overreacting big time these last two weeks.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
