Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome to the Favorites of the Podcast, presented by Beth
three six five. We are part of the Volume Podcast Network,
live from our Tommy John Holmes Studios. I am Chad
Millman of the Action Network. This is our Sunday night episode.
We're gonna review the faves five picks we put into
the contest. We're going to dissect why we left games out,

(00:30):
preview the early lines we already like for week sixteen.
I'm joined as always by my co host, my companion,
my Campadre my BFF Professional Better, Simon Hunter at Osimon.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Hello, Chad, Well, look I'm looking.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Here's the upside. We avoided our worst instincts. We did
not include the Panthers as short favorites, or the Titans
as big home dogs, or even the Giants at as
sixteen and a half point underdogs. We nearly included the

(01:12):
Jags at three and a half, but we avoided that. However, However,
every team we did choose today in what is an
zero to four start, basically self destructed at the exact
same time, except for the Cleveland Browns, only because they

(01:35):
were in the early window. In a season of bad
luck and bad calls, this one was truly special. I'm
going to recap just a couple of them, because like
to do it in each individual game almost feels like
we're not doing it justice because you need to absorb

(01:59):
them all to truly understand how epic all this was.
The Lions finally cut it to ten with twelve minutes
left in the third and the fourth. They go for
an on sidekick. The Steelers are driving down twenty thirteen
inside the red zone in the third quarter, Najee Harris

(02:23):
just drops a lateral. Eagles go on to score take
a two touchdown lead. Jonathan Taylor of the Colts, we
have the Colts plus four and a half, just drops
the ball a foot before he crosses the goal line
to put the Colts up twenty to seven. They don't
score again the rest of the game. Jamis throws multiple

(02:45):
picks into the Chiefs end zone. If you haven't figured
it out already, we had the Browns plus four and
a half, the Steelers five and a half, the Colts
four and a half, and Detroit two and a half.
In the day games. Thank god, we have Green Bay tonight.
Thank god. Like my wife and I have a list
of shows we want to watch right now, Bad Sisters,
Lion ass say nothing, no good deed. Thank God, I'm

(03:10):
not gonna watch this game tonight. We're gonna dig into everything.
Plus the discussion on the Jags, who, by the way,
probably should have covered if not for a meltdown type
call by Jeff Albrich of the Jets, which was truly idiotic.

(03:55):
three sixty five. Must be twenty one or older. In
present in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia.
We're eighteen and older. In Kentucky, gambling problem called one
eight hundred gambler or one eight hundred bets off. In
Iowa terms, conditioned restrictions apply. We're going to begin this

(04:16):
painful process simon Kansas City and Cleveland. So we had
the Browns four and a half. We nearly kicked this
one out for Jacksonville this morning. It really came down
to Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh for a final two. I
don't even know. I mean, there's so much to say.
I just want to get your take before we dig in,

(04:39):
because I've unloaded so much epically bad beats in the
last five minutes.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I got enough that says this as your baby. I
told you, can we just avoid this game and you
push it all week. You put it in there, you
got to live with it. It was you knew right
away too. It was a bad bet. Where that guy
on that first punt fumbling that ball. It's just I
once answered to myself, why are we even involved in
this game? Why do I have money on this game?
Why do I have to watch this game? I was

(05:12):
cursing your name right from the get go because I
just said I knew we should have just avoided it.
We can't get to read them either of those teams.
We knew the Chiefs were eventually going to be the
right side and the Browns had just about everything going wrong.
Winston had the Winston game that we fear, which is
can't stop making stupid turnovers and can't be consistent at

(05:35):
all and was just never in rhythm. And I mean
they benched somewhat midway through or early in the third quarter.
So yeah, terrible game, terrible spot the Chiefs, long overdue
for them just to catch a break in a game
where they get a bunch of turners, which we talked
about it going to that game. I think they only
had ten or eleven turnovers, and yeah, they had got

(05:55):
a bunch of fumbles, a bunch of interceptions. It just
it all went to Chiefs way other than obviously the
Mahomes injury, but it seems like he avoided anything serious
if forgetting X rays done. So yeah, just a really ugly,
sloppy game. What did they win? Twenty one to seven
and the Browns had a kick return, so it was
just like we couldn't get anything going with that Brown's offense.

(06:17):
So it was just a miserable experience to watch.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Well, look, with both Pittsburgh and Kansas City, we feel
like we've been tempting fate by continuing to bet on
the trance in the case of Kansas City, baiting them
as favorites of more than three. We thought last week
was the spot to back Kansas City. To your credit,
to your credit when we wrote down the Browns on Tuesday,

(06:42):
your note, I remember I wrote it down. Avoid it's gross.
I think personally, me and Kevin Stefanski, we've both been
seduced by Jamis. I don't know if that'll be the
case going forward. Because Dorian Thompson Robinson did take over
the game. The Browns fumbled the first punt of the game.

(07:04):
The Chiefs scored a touchdown off that Late in the
first half, Jamis threw into double coverage in the Chiefs
end zone in the Kansas City thirty five was picked,
blowing the scoring chance. Later in the first half, he
made an inaccurate throw to Nick Chubb. Nick Bolton intercepted.
Chiefs scored a touchdown. Second half, they're driving again. Jamis

(07:24):
throws another pick from the Chiefs thirty five into their
end zone. I just feel the Browns defense. They only
gave up I think seven points, you know, like they
scored fourteen points off of Jamis turnovers. I will say this,
I bet on the Jags at three and a half,

(07:47):
and at three point thirty this afternoon, the Jags were
winning and the Browns were down fourteen, I still felt
like the Browns had a better chance to cover.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
I not.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I never believed in the Jags in that game. Never
once did I believe in them. I just assumed it
was going to go badly for them.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Well it makes you feel better. You have a terrible
read on the board right now, But you nailed that
one then, because they're up five and I think the
action app gave him a seventy percent chance of covering
the three and a half and uh yeah, they're up
five with five minutes ago. And I was not cursing
your name, but I was just like, God, damn it, Jad,
why do you make this so hard. I just was
begging for you for multiple times to take the Browns

(08:25):
out and just put the Jags in because I felt
like it was a better number. But yeah, you got
a lucky you got the gambling guys on your side,
because that was the flukiest dump coaching Jets moment, the
reason that they covered that number.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
So we got to talk about that for a second.
I mean, I'm not gonna lie to you. Even though
I bet on the I bet on the Jags in
that game. I was really hoping Obrok was stupid enough
to go for a touchdown so I did not have
to eat it with the Jags covering that game, because
what a fucking idiot. Yeah, that is like, that is

(08:57):
why this team has been failing. I mean they've been
failing for a lot of reasons, but the fact that
he let them go for a touchdown with a minute
five left and the Jags having two timeouts instead of
just kneeling down and making them take the timeouts and
kicking the game winning field goal with no time left.
If I'm a Jags better who had really gone all

(09:20):
in on that, I'm watching that like with a pit
in my stomach, knowing there's nothing you can do toget
o the way of that. It was dumbfounding, truly dumbfounding.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
That's me. I bet heavy on it. Those one of
my biggest bets. It was my biggest bed dog of
the day, and uh yeah, it sucks. But it's like
we talk all the time, it's we got a whale
last week against the Jets. This week, by there being
idiots and their own right, they somehow covered that number.
So yeah, just that's that's that's betting, baby, Like I

(09:52):
love it. But it's also like you just said, it's sickening.
Where as soon as Devanta Adams caught that ball and
there's someone around them, it's like, oh, this is really
about to happen. They're not going to cover this number now,
so uh yeah, pretty brutal. No cover.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Pittsburgh at Philadelphia Steelers were plus five and a half.
This was the other game we nearly kicked out for Jacksonville.
I felt more strongly about this than Cleveland. It's similar
to fading Casey as a favorite. We like to play
Mike Tomlin as a dog period, even though he hasn't
lost in this spot this year. And then Jalen just

(10:29):
had his best game of the year first half twelve
to thirteen, one six two touchdowns, AJ five for sixty
five in a touchdown in the first half. I will
say Jayden still looks bad if he doesn't get his
first read, but this was about Najie Harris fumbles, can't
catch the lateral the Steeler, the Eagles go down. The

(10:51):
Steelers have him third and nine inside the red zone.
They can't tackle gain well. After a four yard path,
he gains the first down, they get a touchdown. That's
the sort of end of the game to me. But
that was really frustrating.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I just do not get this whole Chad moment. Is
nick right? Thing you got going on with Jalen Hurts?
It's bizarre world. He's bad if he doesn't get his
first read. What the hell are you talking about? It
was twenty five and thirty two. My favorite was Jalen
Hurts was trolling the media repeating back to them what
they're saying about him, that if he doesn't have the
first read, he just pulls it down and runs with it,
and Chad thought he was being serious and was quoting

(11:32):
him to people about that. He's trolling you, Chad. You
don't think he makes the read outside the first read
doesn't seem.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Like it's always aging. It didn't seem like it today.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yeah. No, he had a great game, but everyone saw
that coming. The book sawid We just talked about that
line stunk another game I wish we had avoided. We didn't,
but it was another game. Not that I put it
into pun issue, but I was like, Chad needs to
have this one in. He will not get over not
having this one. And if they if they Pittsburgh a
cover and I made you have taken it out. I

(12:03):
was like, weighing the decision. I've never hearing the end
of it from you, especially, I would think Chris Rave.
Once he put it in that Google doc, I was like, God,
damn it. Now it's guaranteed to be in our faves five.
But yeah, it's just I totally saw where you came from,
right the Tomlin thing about him coming as a dog.
But we both both knew that was a fishy line.

(12:23):
And everything that could have gone wrong for Pittsburgh basically
went wrong in that game. Right. They had a bunch
of stupid fumbles, They were slopping a lot of ways,
and you know, even how bad they played, it was
still seventeen thirteen and a half, and I was like,
maybe we'll get luckier and covered because they played so bad. Nope,
they played even worse in the second half. So just

(12:44):
a total letdown game, letdown spot for them. And yeah,
they have a brutal stretcher. Now they get the Ravens
and then like five days after that they got to
play the Cheaps on Christmas. It's just a brutal spot
in the schedule for this Pittsburgh team and Eagles again,
Chad say something nice about jaelling her it's because they
are clearly a class above a lot of teams right
now in this league.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
You know, I love the Eagles. I've been all over
the Eagles. I love their defense. May come around on
Jalen Hurts, thank you. I haven't loved him this year.
He was excellent today. He was excellent today. There was
a point this all happened within about three minutes. You

(13:29):
talk about the Steelers self destructing a little bit. They
were finally driving their down twenty seven to thirteen, plenty
of time in the game to make a comeback. They
kill a drive with a personal file. The Lions give
up a third and four to I forgot who caught
it was a Dustin Knox who was double covered. The

(13:53):
Colts give up a sixty yard hunt return that leads
to a Bronco's touchdown and that was after Oh then
they had the double pass for the pick six. Let's
go on to the Colts because I like, it was
so astonishing. Oh my god, Jonathan Taylor. We had the

(14:17):
Colts four and a half, they're up thirteen to seven,
they're kind of dominating the game. They'd made bo Nicks
look silly. He had three picks through three quarters. They
hadn't been able to get any offense going. Neither had
the Colts. Like Anthony Richardson was truly terrible, averaged less

(14:40):
than three yards per attempt in the first half. But
Jonathan Taylor breaks a big one and then what happens.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
But no, before you get to that, though, you're sure
right about the bon next thing is that he had
three picks. I like that, the fact that we had
a game that went exactly what we said we thought
that was gonna happen, right, that he would be slopping
the coach defensive step up that that I didn't even
know he threw three picks. I knew he had a
couple of picks, but three picks and we don't even
get close to that cover. But yeah, the Jonathan Taylor
walking touchdown untouched. It was that thing too, where they

(15:16):
keep cutting back to it on TV where it's like,
what are they even reviewing here? He wasn't even touched
and it's like, oh my god, did he let go
of the ball? Now they showed the angle. I didn't get.
I never saw the angle of what they were talking
about with him actually releasing the ball before they crossed
the line. But clearly they must have found some TV
angle with that on camera. And yeah, we went from

(15:36):
being up twenty to seven to thirteen to seven.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
To bone two.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah, I was gonna say again, Bonix is still doing
nothing and Strangstike and calls some bizarre plays and that
pass a back across field and that spot was just
and like the announcers are like, well, they needed to
do something. It's it's like why why did they need
to do something there? It's like, I don't know even

(16:04):
if even maybe that was at seventeen thirteen. I forget
what the exact score at that point, but it was
just a very bizarre play call. And like you just said,
once that happened, you're down with Anthony Richardson against the
defense that is pretty good at rushing the passer and
getting pressure, and yeah, he burned us another game. I think,
let's look at the numbers. He's seventeen of thirty eight

(16:24):
passing antheen Richardson. So yeah, not not where we want
to be when we're back in him. No.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
As soon as when they were down twenty four thirteen,
I'm like, this is kind of over, like unless they
got another Jonathan Taylor. Let's when he get open, I'm like, yeah,
this is not gonna go our way. I just want
to see where did that game's over. Anthony Richardson ended

(16:52):
up with seven carries so and forty six rushing yards.
Kudos to Billy Ward because Billy Ward had a negative
correlation parlay of plus four point fifty for Anthony Richardson
over forty five and a half rushing yards but under

(17:14):
nine and a half rushing attempts. It's like one of
three bets that I won today was that bet. And
he got twenty three of those yards on the first
drive of the game when he scored a twenty three
yard rushing touchdown. And the Colts you just said it
like they were perfect through two and a half three

(17:39):
quarters and like the wheels came off after that Jonathan
Taylor play, like they just they completely lost their composure
and gave the game. They just gave it away, like
they had that game. That double pass for a pick six?
Are you freaking kidding me? There were so many crazy

(18:00):
coaching decisions today, All Brick not kicking the field goal,
Dan Campbell going for the going for the on side kick,
the double pass that leads to a pick six, like
what happened today.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
It was so weird, it was, But it's also I mean,
like we talked about that, just there's some games where
not that three quarters are meaningless, but like you just said,
the Colts dominated that game for three quarters and one
or two little plays went sideways and they completely flipped

(18:36):
the entire game. And you know, credit to Denver, like
I should say that bow Nicks had three picks. They
somehow overcame that, which again is mind blowing, like the
fact that they were able to overcome that when you
can just you know, it was like that Tennessee game,
like we're betting on these bad quarterbacks. They just have
these explosive moments where they just have meltdowns for a

(18:58):
quarter and it completely flipped the whole games. So yeah,
pretty brutal day for bedding these ugly dogs.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Bo Nicks was so bad in the first half. While
Anthony and Richardson completed less than three yards per pass attempt,
bo Nicks only completed three point five yards per pass attempt.
So he was atrocious and still figured out a way
to win that game thanks to some really bad decision

(19:25):
making and poor mental errors on the part of the
Indianapolis Coults buffalo ed Detroit. As we continue our journey
down Torture Lane, I mean, Jesus Detroit two and a half.
I don't know about you, but after that first half,
I kind of felt like Detroit still could be in it.

(19:49):
The Bills were perfect and the Lions were not, and
yet the Lions were only down seven. And then the
Bills came out and within the first ninety second scored
a touchdown and like, all right, well there's a dead bet.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Yeah. I mean, it's tough to say, like never totally
gave up. But the issue for me was just Josh Allen.
We've already talked about this year. He's been probably the
best second half quarterback in all football. Like, he's just
been dominant in the second half, and you know him
and Joe Brady. The adjustin s they make against the

(20:27):
teams they play is just special and they're they're they're
just clicking at a really high level right now. And yeah,
Golf didn't have his A game, Dan Cavin have his
A game, and we joked that wasn't coming down to
fourth downs, and it kind of did, right. That was
Josh Allen capitalizing on fourth downs in big plays. So yeah,

(20:47):
I bet that unfortunate. H wish it was three because
at three we both talked about how we liked taking
the bill side and we probably would have got there
with it, but at two and a half, you know,
probably not the best decision, I guess looking back now,
because we talked about this line's defense, the injuries are
going to catch up them, and we talked about we
thought it was being the playoffs, right and they're facing

(21:08):
really good offenses and we've seen that now tonight and
last weekend's Green Bay. It's it's gonna be interesting watching
this team going forward where it's like you saw it
today too, where they had to call up Josh Adams
to play or Jamal Adams, i should say, and it's like,
you know when you see those moments, We're just like,
this is this is scary back in this team right
now as a favorite. But we knew what the deal

(21:30):
was head and going into it that if Josh Allen
kept playing like he is playing, we were gonna get burned.
And you know, we just we haven't seen something like
this before. This guy's playing at this insanely high level
right now, and yeah, it's it's pretty scary going against them.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Betting wise, the Lions just scored a touchdown on a
two point conversion. They're down six with twelve seconds.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
They just took an extra point, but yeah, oh.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Is that what it was? So it's forty eight forty two.
Think if they hadn't done that on side kick, would
it be a different game? Like, you don't know, but
that seven points that the Bills then scored immediately put
this game into a different trajectory. It's astonishing. The only

(22:18):
thing the Bills did wrong in the first half they
missed a twenty four year field goal. They had three
hundred and twenty five yards and ten yards per play
a Josh Allen averaged thirteen point four yards per attempt
in the first half. Like he was sick. He was
sick that Jonathan Taylor play, by the way, happened exactly

(22:40):
when James Cook scored to open the second half for Buffalo.
Like the confluence today of plays that went against us
that happened at the exact same time that it's like
a full beatdown. We were in an alley fighting twenty

(23:04):
seven kung fu masters and every single time someone had
to kill shot. That's what it felt like.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Yeah, just about again, how special this season is for
Josh Allen. Like I think his name is Ty Johnson.
It was his running back, Josh Allenstone to this guy
in like the clutch est, biggest moments of that game.
And this guy's making these insane plays, a guy that's
like their third back. It's it is bizarre world. Like
this guy has one hundred and fourteen yard receiving today

(23:32):
and every time he touched it was a big play
in a big moment. And Yeah, like you talked about,
we've had some batteries today, We've had some bad luck,
but overall, some of the bets we made we kind
of knew going in. The lines were a little fishy,
and it felt like you wanted to touch the hot

(23:52):
stove chat and you touched it and you got burned.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
And it's not just me. Don't act like you're parenting
me in this situation.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
What games were you What games were you warning me off?
All week? The only the games you were warning me off?

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Listen, At any point today, you could have said, let's
go with Tampa Bay. I want to get in the
jacket tip.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
It was never brought up. I mean again, I know
you didn't want to do Tampa Bay. I'm talking about
this week. We should have avoided Pittsburg, we should avoided Cleveland.
That's what sucks, is like we're looking at four. I
don't fault us for the Lions. That to me was
a bet we both loved and the Colts. Yeah, and
then again the Colts. I feel like, again even midway
through that game, it's like a good bet. But it's
just brew that like now we're laying on the Giants,

(24:35):
I mean, the Green Band we've never gone on for
five and it's like it's a lot to put on
to Green Bay, to.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
I putting in huh. The only game we would have
considered putting in the Jaguars. Yeah, so it wouldn't have mattered.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
I mean, that's one way to look at it. It's
also there's different there's different ways of getting blown out.
I guess. I mean we you can do the scooch
thing the right sides of the winning side. It doesn't
even matter if you don't cover by three or you
get blown up by thirty. But no, I'm just saying
it was a tough week where it's like, you knew
some of those lines stunk, and we put them anyway.
That's what I meant by you touching the stove, you
just you couldn't help yourself. Like that Pittsburgh one. We knew,

(25:18):
we knew, and I hate that it went the way
it did it because we knew what. We knew what
we were always on the other side of that one.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Usually we knew with both of them. It's not a
it's not a me thing, it's a we thing.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
We both knew.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
You didn't back brother.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
I mean, listen to I Hop on I Hop on
social media. I can hear how many people call me
an idiot for going against the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Don't worry, Yeah, on Thursday, go back and listen to
the tape. You you you were like trying to warm
me off it and then you fully came around to
the Steelers at the end of your at the end
of your analysis, because I was going to walk away
from it because you were so comfort about the Eagles,

(26:01):
because the wise guys were coming in on the Eagles
and you were hearing so much about it. But in
the end you're like, we got to go with the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah, you're right, Obviously Tampa the number didn't matter. I
wish we got Tampa in there. It's just a typical
thing of like we have three. I bet it heavy
at three, but for some reason our contest we have
to put in two and a half. And we've talked
about two and a half has become one of the
more important key numbers. So that's that was the whole
thing scared me off on it. But yeah, obviously, looking back,
I mean, Tampa beat the shit out of the Chargers,

(26:29):
exactly what we said it was going to happen there.
The better team, like Evans dominated that matchup, had the
game of his life. Lady McConkie came back early, didn't
look himself. They just they were just stagging offensively. And
you know, whatever happened that Herbert ankle injury, obviously I
didn't know much about it 't know if you heard
about it, but it's like, clearly whatever happened there. I
think he had two sacks and the guy landed right

(26:51):
on it, and from that they didn't score a single point,
like they had seventy points at that point, and then
the offense kind of just fell off from there on.
So definitely something to keep in mind going forward. This
Chargers team like they're major injuries and major positions right
now heading into late December.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I am looking at our list right now. The games
that we had talked about for Thursday. We talked about
Miami that wouldn't have worked out, the Jags that would
have worked out, we talked about we were split on

(27:31):
there was a split. You said there was a split
between Tampa Bay and the Chargers. Seattle was one that
came up that the wise guys like, but we're sticking
with Green Bay Detroit. I don't know that we would
have won any games no matter which games we show,
except for Tampa Bay. No, it's fair, Simon, we got

(27:54):
to talk about we have Green Bay to Night minus
two and a half. Please please, Jordan Love like you've
never played plaid, like you've never played before. We need you,
We need you.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Go ahead, Smarty? What are we looking at for week sixteen?
You tell me, don't be so upset, Chad. I'm not upset.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
You sound like you're upset. We both wore oh and
four right now. I'm just trying to let you know
this week, if there's a game I keep saying to you,
can we please take this back? Can we just maybe
think about taking it out? Here we go Thursday night,
Broncos Chargers, the Open up Chargers minus three. We just
talked about Herbert having an injury. Yes, don't we just
take the three right now with Denver?

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
So there's a couple of games like that that pop
up here. Matt on a Saturday Chiefs are plus two
and a half right now against the Texans.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
By the way, it's moved down from three and a
half when we started the show.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
So that's the book saying it's Carson Wentz in their mind. Yep,
But we just talked about the x Rays came back negative.
I'll grab it two and a half right now. It's
another position we could take out we want to. But
even if it's Carson Wentz. Houston, Man, I don't know
how much of that Miami game you watched.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
They watched a lot of it.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
I didn't, but like I just saw different parts pop
up and I was just like, man, they're luckily two
is throwing three picks in the game or whatever it
was four picks. I know he had a lot. There's
just something's off about them, and everyone's kind of had
that same sense. And like you just said, people, any
professional that came in on Miami and like it's they
had good reason to. This Houston team is really questionable

(31:13):
right now. So yeah, that one jumps out to me.
Two and a half Pittsburgh six and a half right
now against this Ravens team on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
I you know what I saw that.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Are Suckers again.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
I like, I didn't want to say anything.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
It's a cross, it's it's above six. Though, we have
to take it a six because we have to.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
We have to because I knew we were going to
be having a hard conversation about how much I like
the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Well, we can't put them in the contest anyway. Unfortunately
it's Saturday game.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Thank fucking God.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Really I would love to put this one. I don't know.
This goes like another really nice Tomlin spot. Again, it
burned us today, but historically Tomlin, especially when it's above six,
as a dog, he's a great bet, not only on
the money line but on the spread.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Uh, Matt Mitchell is saying we might be good with
standal with Saturday games because they aren't standalone, so we
may be able to consider this.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
That'd be cool. Another line that just jumped out from
the Sunday slate that just seemed really fishy. Jets or
plus three at home against the Rams. It's another week
where it's like it's gonna move down and I much
rather be on the Rams at minus two and a
half than I wouldn't be on the Jets. But like
that right now is she's like a professional side, Like
I can easily see the pros coming on the Jets

(32:28):
a plus three.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Well, there's no reason they wouldn't come in on the Jets, right,
They've been on the Jets every true. Yeah, it's true,
including including by the way, this week, so they were
the favorites, like it got down to three and went
back to three and a half. So I can't see
why the why the fit, why the wise guys wouldn't

(32:50):
be on the Jets.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Yeah, just interesting though that the book opened that at three,
Like you just said, though, that's I guess that that's
what them knowing they're going to get action on the
other side. Uh, what do we do Teddibio against our
colts after today who just burned us so horribly because
they're plus four right now, Tennessee's plus four of the.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Colts, I'm seeing four and a half, and I feel
like it's so hard to bet this Tennessee. It's fair
Like I did bet them today at plus six and
felt decent about it. And then their defense they're.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Up fourteen seven. You're feeling pretty.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Good, feeling pretty good and like their defense could not
stop anybody. And Will Levis then just self destructed, like
every other quarterback who's from that draft class at this point,
just self destructing. So like we couldn't even get Bryce
Young to continue to be like Bryce Young today. That

(33:47):
one feels iffy to me. But but but if you're
gonna say we have to get it in, I'll get
it in.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
I might, I might. You never know. Uh, interesting number.
This Minnesota team they're minus two right now against the Seahawks.
That one just sticks out to me because they're playing
a divisional game Monday and then our short week they're
traveling to the Seahawks. So it's like I would want
to bet it, but if the Seahawks lose tonight, I
might be able to get a three. So I'm not
in a total rush, but that's a side that's like

(34:17):
I could see us end up being on the Seahawks
in that spot, just because it is a good, good
number in a good position against the Minnesota team. Like
we just said, in our short week late December, that's
that's pretty tough for a lot of teams. That one
just jumped out to me. I mean, there's no way
I get you back to Jags again, can I oh?

Speaker 1 (34:34):
I circle that in red Jags plus one and a
half against the How are we not?

Speaker 2 (34:42):
I'm worried that's gonna flip though, So that's gonna be
one that fifth flips. Are we gonna avoid it because
we've we've had terrible luck with lines that have flip
this year from plus the them being favorites.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
I don't know about that, but like as a better
looking at it right now, I want to play the
Jacks like just especially if.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
You have a book that is one and a half,
that's that's an nice throw it in a teaser like like.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Like Max Crosby has done for the year, done for
the year. Like quarterback situation is not very good this
team at some point they're not gonna officially tanked, but
they're on track for Cam Wore, Travis Hunter, Shador Sanders,
you know, they can make a significant upgrade to their team.
So I like the Jags as underdogs here a lot.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Yeah, this last one when word, I'm overthinking it, but
it just feels like it's too easy. Once again, a
line that feels too big. Commanders are plus four against
this Eagles team, where this number feels like it should
be plus three. We're getting a nice bump here because
Washington had a little meltdown, right, they're up seventeen to nothing.
Saints come all the way back. On the flip side,
this Eagles team, who has doubted today just rolled. You know,

(35:45):
public and professional betters alike that bet the Pittsburgh team.
I want to bet this, but again I feels like
another number that can I be patient here? Won't this
go up rather than come down?

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Well, it's already down to three and a half.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
I'm sor right, Well they just told you then, so
I guess I'll grab the four or not?

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Why Ken, Yeah, if you can get a four, you
should definitely get it. I see one four out there.
The rest I'm seeing are three and a half's.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Because again done this game is the hard time I
was getting about the hurts. I was really just busting
their balls where like this, this kind of feels like
a hurt spot that he'll he'll have a shit game
that you're talking about, like a letdown game after that
performance he just had. Because especially I love hurt. It's
twenty five of thirty two. That's not who hurts. His
hurts is twenty of thirty two, Like he got five

(36:31):
today that were you know, not usually on his record books,
so a nice letdown spot. And then on the flip
side Commanders. I just honestly like the way the their
offense can match up with this Eagles team. You know,
McLaurin obviously had an incredible today today with Jayden Daniels,
but that that read option Jane Daniels and Robinson in
the backfield, it is pretty deadly like when he pulls
the ball and runs with it, especially when he's obviously

(36:53):
get smarting on not taking the contact. It's a really
great weapon to use. And we talked early in the
year when the Eagles play Maid that Ravens team, the
throws were there because the defense was sucking up. Lamar
just had an off night. He was missing the throw.
So I think if Daniels can kind of hit those throws,
the blueprints counting already out there, I can tact this
Fangio defense. So yeah to me, Chad, I grabbed that

(37:13):
plus four. Now, if you're like you just said, if
it's down a plus three and a lot of books,
I'll rush now track at the plus four before it moves.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
He is so smooth. Jayden Daniels. I watch a lot
of that Saints game today, and he makes those run
options look like he's moving in slow motion and yet
still gliding by everybody and then casually walking out of bounds.
The way he was able to avoid getting hit today

(37:40):
was great. Any other on your radar, because there's one
more on my radar.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
I mean, obviously there's a couple more like we can
talk about, but I'm not. I won't go too crazy.
What do you got to trump out to you?

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Well, the Miami Dolphins at one and a half again
San Francisco, very short home favorite, two teams that are
essentially out the playoffs. But like Chua had a terrible
game today, like really made some bad mistakes, really bad throws.
But I don't know anything about this this Niners team

(38:14):
right now. Obviously McCaffrey's out, Deebo seems washed, there's no
iu perty was making bad throws. Like I would take
Miami at home because Miami at home against bad teams
is what you do. And the Niners right now are
not a good team. And I feel like I'm getting

(38:34):
about half point to a point of value on Miami
because people have just seen them lose as well. But
I think two is playing at a much better level
and I don't know the status of Waddle right now,
but their short to intermediate game can be really good.

(38:56):
And they only lost today because Toutle made Tua made
a two or three really bad decisions because they were
they were in that game against the Texans the whole time.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
Yeah, I honestly think, like I'm gonna go back and
watch that one because I was I wasn't able to
watch a lot of it, but just looking at the
box score, just like another day of Miami was probably
the better team. It was just the QB player that
kind of bet them. And you know, even defensively, it
seemed like they got a lot of pressure on CJ.
And what you just talked about stays up to me

(39:25):
with Brock Purty is you know, Trent Williams has not
been there, and you know that does affect him in
some way where he's had to deal with a lot
of pressure in his face and for some reason, whatever
it is going on with him and Kittle, like that
should be a safety valve, but instead he's turning to
Deebo Samuel, who's just been disappointing all season with the drops,
And you know, I got what they were trying to

(39:45):
do last week, you mean me and you bet them
like we thought I was gonna have like AJ today
AJ Brown had a touchdown in one hundred yards receiving.
That's what I honestly thought it was gonna happen with Debo.
It's like you just gonna force feed him to make it,
make it work out for you. You're not gonna, you know,
let it fail again this week. And it did feel
like you just said, you're probably learning. Maybe I'm overthinking,
because I honestly wanted to take the forty nine ers

(40:06):
in this spot, but you're probably right where it's like, No,
this is actually when you back Miami, like them at
home in this exact spot against bad teams. This is
when they dominate and we have to come to terms
with like this forty nine ers team is a bad team.
I mean they literally had a guy quit in the
third quarter. I forgot what quarter it was, maybe it
wasn't before the half. But it's like that the mojo

(40:26):
in that locker room. As bad as it might be
in Miami right now, it's nowhere near as bad as
it's forty nine ers. They are a team that's just
going through it right now. So I'm with each other.
I think that's a good read.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
What do you think of your Bucks now at four
and a half on the road against the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
I hate it because it's like I want to take
the Cowboys but now, but the Bucks are a good team,
like we've talked about, like they feel like they are
a good team. But we've talked this year, they feels
like they play their competition level. So I don't know.
Maybe it's maybe I'm just a little speak because I

(41:04):
actually watched a deep dece amount of Cowboys Carolina again
because like we talked about, were I bet Carolina, I'll
be first to admitted I like love them because I
got them about one and a half and I was like, oh,
I got the smart number, beat the books. This will
land on two or three, and I'll be the smart
one hearing now they get rolled because Cooper Rush had
to me the best game he's had since he's become
a starter. Real off balanced throws, corner pocket of the

(41:27):
end zone, like no problem. You know this was a
superstar game for the Cowboys too, like Ceedee Lamb Monster Game,
Michael Parsons Monster Game. Can we bet on that? Carrying over?
Chad like that's what we're gonna need, Like we'll need
to cover this number, but it feels like early here
the right side at this number is probably the Cowboys,
like this is it is too much respect to the

(41:48):
Bucks team with this probably closer to three four and
a half. That's that's agreedious. So I'm fighting this on
it out because I think you're right where. It's like,
I know what I have to do here, but we
got burned so bad today. It's taken a lot from
me wanting to just bet an ugly dog like this
in Cooper Rush.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Look, I don't want to make any bets right now.
I'm glad I'm.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Firing away right now. That's how we're so different. I'm
sick of I'm like, get the stank off and let
me just fire.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Get back into the game. I don't know if I
don't know if I'm going to make a bet until
next Sunday.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
I'm burning the tape from this week's brother just moving on.
Gotta all right, because this one is just absolutely stings,
you know. So yeah, that's for a line that's one
of the more over valued ones. I mean again, we
didn't even talk about the Bill's Patriots number, like that's fourteen.
There's gonna be a lot of that this week where
it's like ugly teams are gonna be really down in

(42:38):
the pits because there were so many bad blowouts this week, right,
Like the dogs got pretty smoked for the most part
this week. And that's what's gonna be really tough for
me you to avoid because we've talked about we've been
trying to put more favorites in because the favorites have
been hitting, and like, this is another week where there's
gonna be a bunch of big dogs with value they
we're gonna try to have to avoid in some some

(43:00):
way because there's there's just so attempting on, Like right now,
I want to fire away on the Patriots plus fourteen,
but it's like, can we do that with Josh Allen
playing at the lovyes, playing at exactly I'm the same
way as you where it's like I don't really want
to step in front of.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
Them again, so we all let's look, we didn't do
that with the Giants this week.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
No, And I just I did the stuck you if
I just took the Ravens first half because I was
just like I want to avoid it got crazy lucky
one more, I threw a touchdown with like thirty seconds left.
Whatever it was, so yeah again. The Favorites the public.
It's been breaking right from these this whole season.
