that's it. It was better last year. That's right.

Hope you had a Jake Paul sort of weekend. I'm

(00:59):
happy birthday, iron Mic. I watched that stupid fight.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Let's rock out. So what you're one of millions of
people that watched the stupid fight?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Fully our Caesar Shavez Junior didn't throw a punch until
like the seventh round. You're not even exaggerating. He didn't
throw a punchy until like the third or fourth, but
really turned.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
It on in eighth round.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Rash, you had three good rounds. I'm telling you it
was I guess worth the watch to stay up on things.
But boom, Jake Paul. Find if you paid fifty nine
to ninety nine, you feel a little scammed.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
But Jake Paul getting better. I was.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I was under the impression that Chavez Junior was scared
to pull the trigger early in the fight. Was hoping
that Jake Paul tired down, and once he did later
in the fight he was able to throw some punches
and he did. But it was a dud of a
fight for sure, So congrats to Jake Paul. It was
some weak sauce that wasn't like Taco Bell Hot sauce

(01:56):
or or Chick fil A sauce. What's your favorite sauce,
by the way, your favorite fast food sauce? I like
bitchin sauce at Costco sauce. I was Sam, what's your
go to sauce sauce?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
You know? And Dan no, that was Ben Maller. Oh, oh,
good sauce.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I haven't been to Arby's in a while, but they
have the Horsey sauce and the Arby sauce spicy. You guys,
you got a favorite sauce in the world of It's
not a sauce guy, He's a honey guy, don't you listen.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
That's why I'm a dan guy. Yeah, you know me
and the honey. But I will say this behind me
some leftovers. Brought home some Louisiana Liquors sauce from Quaker
Steak and Lube.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Yes, sa, it's delicious.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well, the fight this weekend was weak sauce, but UFC
three seventeen was pretty dope. You don't care about Danny
G's firit sauce, dany you have number one?

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I would go with the original Chick fil A sauce.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, that's you know what. I will never buy it
out of the bottle at the supermarket. I'll just hoard
the packets exactly. You gotta be you gotta be like
wasteful if you buy that at the supermarket.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Don't be sleeping on that bitch and sauce I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
If you go to Costco a lot of people made
their costco runs over the weekend. I look like the
little kid on the cover of the Bitch in sous
is so good. Anyway, we'll weak sauce when it came
to the fight. And like I said, speaking of fights,
happy birthday to Iron Mike fifty ninth birthday today, so
we have lots to.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Get to a friend of the program.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
That's right, Happy birthday, Mike. Last one's standing. We're giving
away prizes if you're the last one standing here on
the show. We're gonna play some games, We're gonna talk
some NFL.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And Aaron Rodgers is in the news.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Why my dude, Steve Cohen is the best owner in
all of sports? Something something he said and did I'll explain. Well,
it's not over promise, man, because you want to start
with overheard Lebron.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Before we get to.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Lebron, I must say over the weekend, the big story, Well,
it wasn't f one with Brad Pitt, which by the way,
was number one at the theater if you got out.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Of the heat.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
The Jeff Bezos wedding. I have to bring this up
simply because we're going to talk about weddings later. Because
there's a wedding snub in the NFL that's making news.
Not if we continue talking about sauce. But I mean,
I put that Taco Bell hot sauce. I put that
Taco Bell hot sauce on everything, everything, what I mean everything, Wow,
you're stealing Frank's hot sauce slogan. Isn't that there? As

(04:23):
you can put that ish on everything I put the top.
Those are valuable little packets. But over the weekend, I
have to bring this up because apparently Tom Brady we
talk a lot about, was the party star. From what
I understand, reports are that Tom Brady was dancing with everyone,
He was hanging and flirt with Sidney Sweeney.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
He was in the.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
DJ booth with Tigo mixing it up. Like Tom Brady
is unleashed, Adam Tommy. He is the number one bachelor
in the world. It's now Sidney Sweeney and Tom Brady bathwater,
Tom fan Brady.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
I hate them. No one had a better weekend. Good
for him.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
So that's my boy, that's my part owner TB twelve
bringing the heat. Now before we get into Lebron and
other goats, Yeah, I just want to say we got
some awesome news right off the jump. Our show, this
show Covino enrich Us, Yes, the show, the world famous

Speaker 2 (06:09):

We'll see you in Hotlanta in like a week and
a half, which is awesome. So excited to be part
of the All Star mixtape. Thank you Capital One, thank
you major League Baseball, thank you for everyone involved, Thank
you Larry, thank you. All Right, So, now that we
got that out of the way, got the business out
our birthday shoutouts out. Let's talk about overheard lebron LEBRONA.

(06:34):
Is that a Twitter accout? Like overheard la? Well, I'm
pretty sure. I'm pretty sure it's legit. Actually, yeah, because,
by the way, what sort of trash bag puts this
out there? I don't know, you know, I sort of
had a taste of this the other day, rich I
was in the sauna. Yeah, and I'm nobody famous. Yeah right,
I'm infamous, which is more than famous.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Thanks three to.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Like a dude was recording me in the sauna the
other day. I think he was just recording. No, seriously,
I was like, what's he doing. He's got the camera
up and it's pointing at me. What is he like
sharing this with his like votto buddies.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Oh no, I saw this. It was on TMZ. It
was what happened to mary A Lopez? Yeah, hey, whatever
it was.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
You know, look at this vatto he's got just for
men dripping down his face was I don't know what
was going on, but he was recording me. Either way,
the story goes that Lebron James is at some sort
of is it like a sushi spot.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
It looks like, I ha bachi spot. It's nice.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
He's at some swanky Asian restaurant. I don't know if
it's a Japanese restaurant.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Or what, but you see him there.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
And then there's another cut of like someone is trying
to hide it, but they're recording. Overheard Lebron James saying,
I ain't mad looking at New York. She meaning his wife, Savannah,
want me to effing retire in a year or so,
Lebron James. And you probably heard the audio. It's it's muddled,
but it's legit or it seems real. Yeah, you've heard

(08:02):
other people talking about it. So it got us thinking
about Lebron James and all these moving parts.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
The layers of Lebron, the layers of Lebron.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Exactly because Lebron James exercised his fifty two point six
million dollar Lakers contract option ahead of this season, which
means he's wearing purple and gold this season, He's still
a Laker. But after that the options open, meaning last
year they gave him one and one. This year he's
just getting the one, so he could still be traded,

(08:32):
but it has to be run by Lebron. But he's
playing with the Lakers. Next year's open, that's the question.
So what's he gonna do. I don't understand the New
York reference unless he's meaning the Knicks or moving there
or maybe either post retirement has some business opportunities like
it's it's vague, it's vague, but either way, he's saying
that the pressure's on wife. He's saying one more year,

(08:55):
which means she's getting a little antsy and agitated, and
to be quite honest, she's been very pati and the
guys played a long time. I mean, deja vood. Didn't
we see this with Tom Brady? One year too many
could mean trouble in paradis. Absolutely, you don't want Lebron's
wife ending up with the kung fu instructor or the
jiu jitsu instructor.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Well, there's so many layers as to Lebron James of
what the future.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Holts are very on Dan Patrick, the legend that we
fill in.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
For this Thursday was saying, I believe that he thinks
this is the farewell tour for Lebron James. This is
going to be the year where it's sort of a
spoken unspoken. Maybe he makes an announcement, but this this
is it. And perhaps Danny g you're a big Lakers fan,
if they could add.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
A guy like no, this is it was Michael Jackson's
farewell tour. That is true.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
This is Lebron's last year. I agree with Dan Patrick wholeheartedly.
I think with this no trade clause, he stays a
Laker one more year to see what sort of moves
they make this year. They're gonna build a team around Luca,
but he's gonna stick around one more year to see
if they can recapture any fortune and glory before he
dips out. But this is his last year, goodbye. He's

(10:05):
not gonna go out and pulling Aaron Rodgers per se,
meaning end up on another random team for one more year.
How many more years does he have after this year?

Speaker 1 (10:15):
One more? I mean, if there's no way less and.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Less hold on unless he goes back to Cleveland. We
forget that he is still an impact player. Lebron James
is still an impact there. But he's still don't you
don't need to retire and has life till this is
not a This is not a guy who's there. You know,
now he's you know, there's there's guys that. Oh, now
he's scoring eighteen, he's still Lebron, James and Danny. You're
a Lakers fan, I was gonna say, if they add

(10:39):
a piece, I'm seeing some rumors about DeAndre Ayton.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah, if a guy like getting a big.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Man, if they get if they add a piece like that,
does Lebron have a chance to go out like like
a John l Way, like win and retire?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Is it that would be nice? I mean this always
comes up.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Whenever Lebron opts into an extension or a contract. The
murmurs are always, well, he wants to see still if
they're going to put winners around him. So we've seen
this song and danced before. There are people who don't
agree that this is going to be a farewell tour,
that he's still going to play another two or three seasons.
I know, Buyer over the weekend, there's a video clip

(11:18):
from Fox Sports where you're saying you don't think it's.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
A farewell Yeah, Yeah, I don't think it is. But
I think it's the Lakers saying farewell to Lebron that
that basically in year, like last offseason, they sent him
to a one on one deal. It said one year
contract with the player option for the next I don't
think they wanted to give him an option for the
next year. And I don't think that there's any teams
that he wanted to go to this year that would
have the money to pay him what he wanted. So

(11:42):
I think he just opted in. But I think next
year gives all those other teams the ability to maybe
get ready for Lebron to leave LA and then he'll
have his swan song, which I always felt was going
back to Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
That would be last year. Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
That's why I don't think that it's I don't think
next year is his last year. I think he wants
that go around the league and be honored for an
entire season.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Just do the match. Thank you, dB, Dan Bayer. Do
you agree with what Dan's saying here eight seven seven
ninety nine one Fox or what Dan Patrick said earlier
that it is his farewell tour. I am quite in
the middle, because I do agree that if it is
another year or two after this year with the Lakers,
it can only be with Cleveland. He's just a kid

(12:24):
from Akron, Ohio. I mean with the Knicks or been there,
done that.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
I don't know. New York could be a very.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Interesting really farewell and you heard him say in New York.
He does say New York in that weird recorded clip.
What Dan Bayer says is interesting because that has happened
in other sports where a star player is told by
the organization like hey listen, like almost insinuating, like if
you're going to hang it up, this is your failure.
Well tour from us, Like I feel like that's been

(12:53):
done with other players in other sports, where you see
a guy will be like, well they thought I was done,
but I'm really not done.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
And he might just be done in La Well.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
In a few weeks ago, we talked about the Guggenheim
group coming in they have.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
No loyalty to Lebron in point yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
At the time, Murmur, we were saying, like they are
gonna build for the future around Luca. So it would
not surprise me if the writing is on the wall
between the Lakers and Lebron.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
And not too up on my Sunday show, But yesterday
I compared it to marriages. That's how I've been doing it.
It's there have been marriages that people are madly in
love after fifty years, and there are others that are
marriages out of convenience, and once one needs more than
the other doesn't need the other one more than the other,
then it breaks. And I feel that's what happened with
Lebron and the Lakers. Where now the Lakers, because they

(13:38):
have Luca, they don't need Lebron as much anymore, so
they're going to go their own way, and then Lebron
will end up going his Well.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Man, it's a lot to take you in, a lot
of moving parts. He's got the no trade cluse. Like
we said, he's got one more year this coming year
with the Lakers. He's forty years old. Now it's a
matter of how much guess you think he really has
And you already alluded to it, Rich show that he's
still an effective player, but how much longer could he
possibly want to play?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
He's forty now, but.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Once you stop, it's over, buddy this year, Okay, Lakers,
you think he's got one or two more years after
that because if it's one, then I definitely think it's Cleveland,
because well, you retire the most. There's two teams, it's
more than one year than Yeah, maybe the Knicks. I
don't think you just go out with some random team.
The fact that Aaron Rodgers is doing it, to me

(14:28):
tarnishes the the legacy a little bit. Every big star
is dwindle off on random teams.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
I hate that. Look, I don't think Lebron is going
to do that.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
In the Eastern Conference, it just feels very wide open, right,
Like the Pacers made the NBA Finals, but you know
halliburtons now he's gone for a year. The I'm just saying,
like the Eastern Conference, the Knicks and Cavs, the two
teams you mentioned are both right there, and Lebron to
either one of those two teams and you could argue
that they're the best team now in the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
I throw this out, throw Boston in there too, but
he's not going there.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
It's like if they could force the trade, right, you
think he could say he wants to go to the
Knicks this year.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
No, I think we got one more in LA. Well
he was supposed to. Yeah, that was the option.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
This is the awesome thing about it is there are
really no wrong answers because you don't know what Lebron
is going to do. I don't know if teams are
really set up to do anything this offseason for him,
but it could be tricky, but it's all out there.
I read Rich Paul's statement different than other people read
it and taking my own things. So there's everything is
on the table when it comes to Lebron.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
I was talking to some of the dads on my
son's baseball team. We're chatting about this, and we're saying
that the NBA should hope that Lebron keeps these theatrics
and this going, because you've noticed that the Lebron Steph
curry that generation of superstars.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
As they age. Unless these young stars start emerging.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
The NBA is gonna they don't yo saying about it
Lebron and Steph in a few years.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
That's not good for the NBA. So these theatrics are great.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
What's interesting also is Laker fans are split on this.
There's some who are tired of Lebron in the circus
around him, like my cousin who was in our group
chat last night, saying farewell, if he's gonna, you know,
agree to a trade and go out, said yeah, yeah,
I mean if they put the right players around Luca
and get a couple of bigs, then they'll be all
right and they'll be set for the future.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Well, Ayton has stated that he wants to play with Luca,
not necessarily.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
He hasn't said it. There's rumors that he and Luca
have wanted to play together. Now.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
There's also Laker fans like my older brother who wrote
right back to my cousin and said, who you going
to replace Lebron with?

Speaker 1 (16:42):
You take them for.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Granted, dude, And so there's lots of Laker fans arguing
over this.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Your cousin. I have me fan friends like that. I
have forty nine er fan friends.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Like that, where they have this like fire coach or
get rid of this planet's like and replace them with Who's.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
A good point.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
It's like the other point we made and you forgot
your own point, rich or maybe you were getting to it.
I'm sorry you were getting to it probably, but when
we were doing our pre show meeting, you were saying
how people should be kissing Lebron's ass. Okay, we're never
gonna see this again, and you got to take it
all in like he's underappreciated almost you were going on
this rant.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I'm like, I think that we're gonna look back.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Lebron's a great example of this happens a lot with
politicians on both sides right where it's like you can't
really assess their value, their value or their tenure impact
until years later. And I think we're gonna look back like, man,
we're really I know, he brought it on himself a
little bit, not two, three, four, five, six, seven, all

(17:37):
that nonsense, very outspoken guy.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
So yeah, he got a lot of criticism.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Three yeah, not full not ten eleven to nine finals though,
I mean, but yeah, so let's that sink in nine.
I think we are going to look back and be like, yeah,
he did a couple boneheaded things that made it easy
to pick on him, But we're gonna look back and say,
we were really rough on a guy that was like
really solid on and off the court, like we were

(18:03):
really sort of jerks. Starting now this weekend, this is
the beginning of the end. To see pretty much you're
start figuring out how it all ends and how it
wraps up. Will it be as a Laker, Will it
be as a nick all these little rumors, or will
it be like dan Meyer said, Cleveland, which I think
would be a fitting sort of farewell.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
And Rich will miss him in the playoffs in the finals.
But let's be real, some of this Lebron fatigue, even
with his own team's fan base, is brought on by
himself a lot off.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
I just feel like the end of Lebron feels like
the you know, in a sitcom or a drama. You
watch his ending and you know they always add some
like you know, Redheaded Kid or some like step Kid
or Sam with the Cowboy or you know, or they
you know, Michael Scotsree placed on the office by someone else,
and there's always that. I feel like if Lebron were
to go to one team at the end, it would

(18:56):
be like Emmitt Smith as a cardinal or you know,
Jerry Rice putting on like a Seahawks Ronders as a Steeler.
I know the Steelers are respectable, like him is a
Steeler for one year?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Is weird? You know?

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Oh God, please, I know, yeah, but Emmett Smith's numbers
as a cardinal, Rich, We're not like Lebron's numbers last season.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
That's true. I just to me, it's like it's interesting,
and you guys are all right. I think everyone in
the room is right, and Dan's right. You can't be
wrong because we're still waiting to see what's Avidae.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
And I started Emmett Smith in some fantasy leagues when
he was with the Cardinals. So that's away, how bad
of a fantasy football player?

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Right, right? Just they weren't Emmetts Smith numbers. Yeah, I
mean he didn't do you know when you look, he
did better than you think. Yeah, he did.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Recently, I thought I had like nine hundred yards or like,
you know, close to a thousand or something.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Yeah, in my mighty had like one hundred yards. But no,
he was like relatively effective for a minute in Arizona.
But you know what, it's a simple strategy we're talking
about it. It keeps him relevant, keeps him in the news,
It keeps him valuable. People start whispering they want a
piece of Lebron for that farewell tour. Right, It's like
I'm love island Rich. You may be in love or

(20:00):
complacent on a particular team or with a particular person,
but why not keep your options open, just to see
what's out there.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
And that's what he's doing. So we'll see.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
He's got one more year with the Lakers and a
no trade clause. How will this all wrap up? How
will this end? We'll find out. And what do you
think about that whole New York thing?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
That was weird?

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Interesting? And also the pressure from his wife. I think
that does say a lot. I think that says if
we're going to learn anything from Brady, that was a
great example rich.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
And I think that adds to this. Probably is his
last year. His wife is putting that sort of pressure
on him. Think about that.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yeah, you know, as they said in my Big Fact
Greek wedding, Spot, You'll know what was the quote where
like the wife turns the head.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
But he you're the one quoting it.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Fully wants shame on you know how they like they
always say Spot.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
I feel like Spot loves that movie. The man is
the head, but the wife turns the neck something like that. Right, Yeah,
I don't know you that's a on.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
You can't get fooled again, essentially, you just can't get
fooled again. That was from My Big Fact Greek Wedding, Right, exactly. Yeah.
So with that said, your thoughts at Coven and Rich
and you know, speaking of my big fact Greek wedding,
not a Greek wedding, but there was a wedding look
at that. We're gonna get to this next. An NFL
wedding that I wasn't invited to. If you weren't invited to,

(21:24):
guess who else was invited to? Uh, someone that thought
they should have got the niety. So we'll talk about
a wedding snub in the NFL. Uh next And a
lot of fun here on Coveno and Rich. And while
you're having all that fun, I want to get some
new close.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
It's that time.

Speaker 2 (21:39):

last note on those featherweight jeans. I know it's freaking

(22:43):
hot out and your instincts is like shorts. I wore
those featherweight jeans the other day, like I said, when
I went out with my wife.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
They're so lightweight and thin that you went to our
convention in Vegas. It was so hot.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
There's one hundred degrees and it's still. Yeah, there's still fine.

(23:25):
of a Cavino two thousand story.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Oh geez, oh yeah, he was.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Dating some Hawk girl that was trying to impress him
because Cavino is a big rock fan and she's like, I.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Love this song.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
What is it Incumbus? I love Incumbus? Does it Incumbas?

Speaker 1 (23:38):
All right? Well, I don't want to do anymore. Good thing?
Your hot scramble am dingo way to diss Calabasas High
Yeah they're from right here. They met in Calabasas at
high school.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Yeah them Lincoln Park, Cuba's dank all from that area,
that Agor Hills, Calabasas area.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Something in the Water there. Something in the Water is
the name of their new album, The Way Nicely.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
I had dinner in Gore Hills last night that once
you keep going up that way towards you, Danny g
It's beautiful man, It's just a little far away. Yeah,
we're lying from the Marios of La live from the
Fox Sports Radio Studio. And the big announcement our show
is going to broadcast live the MLB All Star Game
in Atlanta. Watch your favorite celebrities, Cavino and Rich what

(24:19):
I mean, Sorry I misread that. Watch your favorite celebrities
take the field at Truest Park during the MLB All
Star Saturday on July twelfth, And lots of people going
to be there, Rich, two time Olympian, Jordan Chiles, Hall
of Fame inductee, CC Sabathia, Captain Crunch Sabathia is going

Speaker 2 (24:57):
I'll gonna bring the fun to you live again the
game presented by Geico. Visit All Star Game dot com
for tickets. I'm Covino. That is Rich and we kicked
it off with overheard Lebron and Dan Byer reference to
what Rich Paul said. Rich Paul said, that's Lebron's agent.

(25:18):
He explained that they're going to be closely monitoring the Lakers'
moves and whether the team is positioning itself this offseason
to field a title contending roster. So that's just a
power move that they're pulling. The power moves. It's a
power move that men and women of power in all
business do. Right, Do you want me to sign with

(25:40):
your company? Want me to go with you? Lay out
what you plan on doing. And he's at that point
in his career, he's got one more year with the Lakers.
Does he use this as the farewell or does he
end up in New York or again all the overheard
stuff that we heard about his wife wanting him to
retire at seta your thoughts at covin O onrech at

(26:03):
Fox Sports Radio. Now, the other funny story before we
get the Dan Byer's update and last one standing is well.
It involves a wedding another guy you're sick of, sick
of hearing about Danny g I don't know who hogs
up the headlines more. It's a question in itself. Lebron
or Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers, don't hang on.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
I'm setting my timer, you guys. Four minutes.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
He said recently he wants to keep his private life private.
His private life is staying private, was the quote. Because
there's a lot of people are like, dude, you got married, Dude,
why didn't he tell us?

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Then he tried to.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Gaslight everyone and say like, you guys are old, just
weirdos for wanting to know who my wife even is.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Meanwhile, he's wearing the ring he's talking about.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Of course there's interest, right, Yeah, Well over the weekend,
do you guys remember David Bachdiari Absolutely well.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
He was the center. He was Rogers center when Rogers
was on the Packers, a.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Big part of that Green Bay Packers team and also
sounds like a guy that should be on Spartacus.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah, they chugged the bruskies together at the boat.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
He was one of those linemen that you saw chugging
beers with Aaron Rodgers. You remember the clip where Aaron
Rodgers was chugging a beer. We talked about it. He
was on the big screen. Who's a pro bowler of course, Yeah,
well he was there with his buddy David Bochtiari. Now,
over the weekend, Bocdiari threw out a tweet on the
old X page. He threw out an X what do
we say? Have we confirmed? How to you call.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
It whatever you want?

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Well, you're also the guy that refused to say grande
at Starbucks of the day medium and they go grande
and you go medium.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
What do you say? He posted a next It's.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Like how it'll always be Staple Center, It'll always be Twitter.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
He posted a tweet that said love is love. Congrats
to the loves. He said, just happy. At least one
of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding. And he
put that like shocking look emoji like yeah, I'm talking
smack and I'm talking about Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
So here they are, buddy.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Me one year teammates, big screen chugging beers, high five
and chest bumping. Bactiari and Rogers, and you know, Rogers
played a few seasons with Adhaim. Life goes on, Life
moves on. He took it to heart. Now is that
on him or is it on Rogers? I think it's
on him, to be honest. That's my first instinct here,
because I have a story that backs up Rogers. I

(28:23):
remember when I got married, stressing over Maddi'd who am
I leaving off the list? Is someone gonna get butt hurt?
Am I offending someone? Then you realize if you don't
get invited somewhere, you don't really care that much. And
then you realize you're overthinking it. And if someonere to quit,
an invite from an Aaron Rodgers probably means a lot.

(28:45):
There are Sometimes it is an indicator of where that
person sees you and looks at you.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Yeah, Aaron Rodgers. Botiari might have thought like.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
He's my number one best friend that I played for Batatas,
But I would imagine he might be thinking Aaron Rodger
and I were like the one two combo center quarterback
for for years. Like the guy gets married and I'm
not there, I'm the last to know. I see where
I stand. Well, you know what life moves on, and

(29:17):
that's really it. And I'm sad to say this. And
sometimes people misread the room. Maybe on their level of
importance in your life. And I know that sounds terrible.
I'll give you my example. I had a daughter. I
still do. She's a teenage pain in the ass. But
when I had her in two thousand and nine, right,
I gave birth. I was the first man to give birth.

(29:39):
You had was that bad Arnold movie?

Speaker 1 (29:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
I looked pregnant when she was born, that's for sure.
I ballooned up. But anyway, I had my daughter and
we had her christening maybe about a year or so later, right,
and you post some pictures on Facebook or whatever. Hey,
we had our little blessing and our christening, and here's
the pictures for the family.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
It was called Junior, by the way, Junior, that's right.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
And I remember this is when I took the bus
in New York City. I got on the bus from
New York City after work to go back to my hometown.
And one of my own high school buds was on
the bus with me. So I saw an old high
school bud that I hadn't seen in years on the
bus and he's like, eh, congratulations, I saw you. You

(30:26):
had a big party for your daughter's christening, Like, hey, yeah,
thanks man.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
I appreciate it. How you been bring it in? And
he goes to me, no joke.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
He goes, thanks for the invite, and I thought he
was like joking, but he was dead serious, and I'm like, yo, man,
we may even close at one point. I don't talk
to you in like ten years, Like, seriously, how do
you expect that invite? I didn't get a congratulations when
my daughter was born. I didn't get a Christmas card
for the past ten years. I didn't get a hot
do you do that? I'm in town, I haven't heard

(30:55):
for few ever, and you're offended that I didn't invite
you to my the christening party. I want to go
to that so and why would you want to go
anywhere you are?

Speaker 1 (31:01):
You know?

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, but he gave me this East Coast you know,
botch of glop sort of attitude. Thanks for the invite,
and I'm like, dude, I want to invited you anyway.
But it dawned on me that maybe him and I
looked at things differently, just like an Attiari and Rodgers
might look at pens. And that's the key I learned

(31:22):
a long time ago. In fact, h when I was
a young war hog, when Rich was a young war hog, like.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
When I was like first in radio.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
You you start to work with people day in and
day out, and it's shocking sometimes when someone leaves and
you don't really hear from him ever again, and you're like,
I thought we were boys and you're like, nah, we
were coworkers. And it's a it's a realization that you
come to over the years. And I feel that applies
to teammates.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
You share a locker room with the huddle. You know,
you could be sitting in the bullpen with someone for
eight years. They get married and it's like we were
middle relievers together for five years. Some people are good
at separating work and personal. Some people blend it. And
I think Aaron Rodgers also had a very small wedding
from what I'd imagine.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Right, that's the other.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Thing, Right, he didn't make the cut doesn't mean he
doesn't appreciate his time with you as a teammate. So
I don't know, did he take it personal? Your thoughts
on the wedding snub? You know, I have one last
thought on this, but we'll get to it right after
DB's update.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
What up Dan?

Speaker 3 (32:26):
By Oh Dan, Guys, We've got controversy in the WNBA,
But I'm gonna get to that in a second. I
want to tell you the big trade that happened in
the NFL today. Steelers acquired corner Jalen Ramsey and tit
in John new Smith in a trade with the Dolphins.
They also get a seventh round pick as part of
the deal. The Dolphins are getting safety Minka Fitzpatrick in
a fifth round pick. Multiple reports say the Steelers have
received calls about TJ Watt, but they are not interested

(32:47):
in dealing their star edge rusher, who has been missing
offseason activities as he wants a new contract. ESPN reports
the New York Knicks have a second interview set up
with Mike Brown about their head coaching vacancy, while the
Jazz and guard Jordan Clarks that have agreed to a
buyout Nick Buttoom's going to be back with the Clippers
as he's agreed to a two year deal worth twelve

(33:08):
million dollars. In the NHL, Toronto Maple Leafs are signing
Mitch Martin to an eight year deal and trading him
to the Vegas Golden Knights. While at Wimbledon, Carlos Alcarez
a five set winner today, while twelve seeded American Francis
Tiaffo a straight sets winner on day one at the
England Club. And here's what's going on in the WNBA.
The league is expanding by three more teams by twenty thirty,

(33:28):
so Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia are getting squads, but the
All Stars squads have been announced. Caitlin Clark one of
the ten starters, but in voting, she was first in
fan voting, third by the media for backcourt players, ninth
in player rankings.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
So the players, the.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
Players had her ninth in voting for the All seem
Paris Dan.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
We said this last week, these women hate on each
other at a level that is crazy, and.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
I thought we felt that it got better like this season,
like maybe she's but it's still there. She was ninth
and this isn't of all All Stars. This is ninth
in guards in backcourt.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Bro that would be like if MLB players are like, yeah,
like show Hayes number five or six, like a coach
number twelve, Like, how are we talking about?

Speaker 1 (34:19):
She is the face and best player in the league.
What if the other the players voter, Yeah, we put
her top ten. It's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
God, that's embarrassing. It's embarrassing. Actually yeah it is. Well
damn thank you DV, thank you.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Get by here.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
You talked about the Steelers. I'm so intrigued, and you
would say, why Danny g hates that I'm intrigued. Aus
it's Aaron Rodgers, but with Aaron Rodgers and now Jalen
Ramsey and.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
You're four minutes over your time. By the way, DK
Metcalf think, I just I love the over. It's eight
and a half in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I double checked a lot of sportsbook have their win
total at eight and a half.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
I think it's a winning team. I do.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
I don't know how far they go, but for the steal,
like a lot of these guys are going to be
playing with a chip on their shoulder because a lot
of them are deemed like best years behind them. They
don't got it. It's another you know, mediocre Steelers team.
There's a part of me that sort of is good
secret wins. I think their secret league might be good
and I'm gonna pull for them. I feel like I
want to see the Steelers surprise and it's eight and

(35:16):
a half in Vegas, So I like the over.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
That's what they're banking on, because the flip side is
that the bottom falls out, which I don't think they're
necessarily afraid of. But I think that they're going all
in for twenty twenty five. These moves show it no doubt.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Thank you, Dan Byer.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
We got more Cavino and Rich and we got a
lot to get to Cavino. We're gonna play last one standing.
We're gonna do a little something called knowing the whole story.
There's a couple sports situations where we don't know the
whole story. And something Steve Cohen said, a bunch of
good stuff coming up right here. Fox Sports Radio Sinar, Iowa.

(35:49):
Sam plays this for me for several reasons. A Because
I love the smooth buttery voice of if, not only
Danny g but Michael McDonald. Love me some yacht rock,
but don't call it yacht rock. They get everyone gets met.
Everyone in the yacht rock genre hates the name. And
I love this song because I never knew what it
was really about, even though I heard it eight million times.
There was one time I actually recorded it with Roger

(36:11):
and Dwayne and Rerun and I got in trouble.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Do you know my mom still thinks he's African American.
Michael McDonald is because of that voice. He's got so
much soul. She's like, it's part of my soul collection.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Now, if you're listening to the podcast, you can say
that about the Hall and Oates too, some of their
song Yeah the Black Guy or not. This is what
a fool believes by the Doobie Brothers, right, Michael McDonald,
The story goes, you could lower it now, Sam, because
I want to explain, only to realize it.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Never really was.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
She had a place in his life, right, she had
a place in his life, but he never made her
think twice as he rises to her apology because she's like, I'm.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Sorry, I don't remember you. Anybody else would surely know.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
He's watching her go what a fool believes because he
built up in his mind that they had something that
never really was. Meanwhile, it makes me think of maybe
Bactieri really put a lot more emphasis on the relationship
he had with Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers like, yeah,
he was a good guy who was my center, but

(37:20):
I'm not inviting him to my wedding. And meanwhile, bok
Tieri is like, what the words bros. In fact, I
was sam you were you were saying they were closer
than we thought.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
Yeah, you know, I followed Rogers and Bactieri in the
whole team, you know, over the years, and bok Tiari.
When Rogers came back for the twenty twenty one season,
there had been some drama between him and the team,
and sort of post the COVID season there was just
a lot of uncertainty, and bok Tieri greeted Rogers with
accustom Aston Martin golf cart that had like all this,

(37:50):
you know, tricked out stuff on it. And of course
though Rogers would be like, well, this was actually just
repaying me for several very expensive gifts I gave to you, Boktiari.
But if you're exchanging expense, it's a guess. With your lineman,
he's uh, hey, probably a friendly close.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
To I don't like to think this way because they're
teammates and everybody's an equal and everyone's a person.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
But in reality, he is Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
So you don't think the friendship for Bactieri meant more
to him than it did for Rogers and Bactiari. I
know that sounds terrible, but he's Aaron Rodgers an NFL legend, right,
And the reason we bring this up is Bacdiari publicly
posted congrats to the Loves because he was at Jordan
Love's wedding. Yeah, he says, just happy at least one

(38:31):
of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding. Now, but
maybe he said it playfully, but he wasn't invited, and
some people feel snubbed when things like that happen.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
I know, I know that he is cheated on his
last five girlfriends, including the most recent one with me,
But I'm different. He's gonna stay, He's not gonna cheat anymore.
That's what this is. Bactieri thinking, like, I know he's
had flaky relationships even with his family, but I'm different, man,
Like I me. Yeah, Like I know that's different. Like

(39:01):
I know you don't talk to your mom and dad,
but I'm different.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah, that's a good point. So was he snubbed? Your
thoughts on that the wedding snub? But it could be
as simple as Aaron Rodgers really just had a small
thing where he invited really close friends and family, and
that's it, you know, that's it.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Though. The Michael all Sensitive.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
The Michael McDonald lyrics really do hit home, because that's
something we all have to remember. How you view a
relationship might be different than how the other person does
saactly truth. All Right, So we're live from the Fox
Sports Radio studio Covino and Rich and it's time for
our Tireract Play of the Day. Aaron Judge had a day.

Speaker 6 (39:37):
Yeah, Buddy pitch swung on to the gap Plett center field,
got all kinds of carry take it by that captain.
Second home run today, that's a true run shot twelve
five Yankee.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Of course, my uncle Joe was at the game the
day before where they got beat zero to seven. Seven. Yeah, well,
that's courtesy the Yankees Radio network. That was the Tyract
Player of the Day. For over forty years, our friends
at tyraq have been helping customers find the right tires
for how, what and where they drive. Ship Fast and
free back by free Road has a protection, convenient installation
options like mobile tire installation tireraq dot com.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
The way tire buying should be.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
You're never going to listen to the Doobie Brothers classic
the same way again, because we've all built up something
in our brain to be more than it was.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
It was an.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Episode of This is Us sashaw I Used to Love
Back in the Day where Nikki the brother.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
The brother.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Had this memory of like his first love and then
he went to like go reunite with.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Her and she's like, I think I remember you.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
Yeah, and that's always remember it being really sweet. Meanwhile,
this guy yearned for.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Her for years.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
Then you have a family member bump into a girl
at a bar that he's like, had a crazy night
with her and she's like I think I remember you,
and he's like.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
Yeah, it's an ego killer for sure.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Yeah, so hey Buktiari Aaron Rodgers kissing makeup, but yeah
he was not invited to the wedding. We got got
more Cavino and Rich next
