Speaker 1 (00:01):
The volume.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
All right, guys, you HAVEC three to eighteen just wrapped.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
It's time for my postfight reaction video, brought to you
by Total Wireless. They're in your corner with unlimited five
G data that will not slow you down.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
What a fantastic night from New Orleans, a fantastic week
from New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
As you see Miles the.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Chair guy getting everything done today, I can't believe y'all
call him the chair guy. He's so much more than that.
The worst part of him, though, is he's a Liverpool fan.
But it is what it is, guys. Tonight was special.
Dustin Poitier got what was one of the greatest retirements

(00:52):
I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I don't know if I.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Seen many retirements in sport that was better than with
Dustin Poier got to experience tonight. But ultimately the night
was about Max Holloway. Max Holloway fought an unbelievable fight.
I mean, he truly did paint a masterpiece. He was
out there moving, he was out there off the center line,

(01:16):
he was off there landing, and he really did show
that there's a lot of trender on the tire and
a lot of opportunity for Max to be in contention
at one hundred and fifty five pounds. His combination punching
was as good as we have seen for Max Holloway forever.
His power was on display again. He heard Dustin fourtyer

(01:40):
twice early in the fight. The one knock on Max
Holloway before was that it took so much for him
to break his opponents down, even in the greatest performances
of his career, watching him beat Jose Aldo to become
the champions, watching what he did against Brian Artega and
so many.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Other guys, it took so much.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
It doesn't feel like it takes that much anymore for
him to break an opponent down. He heard Dustin for
you early in the fight twice in the first round,
looked like he had him heard very bad. In the
second round he had him heard very bad. Dustin had
fights his way back into the fight, as you would expect,
hurts Max Holloway late in round one. But Max, once again,
when he got back up, got right back to doing

(02:21):
exactly what he needed to do.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Moving bobbing weaving.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Took instructure from his coaches, told him not to stay backwards,
go straight, going backwards, but to move off the angle.
He did that and that allowed for him to get
a victory in what was a very competitive fight. You know,
Max Holloway is still very viable in this weight class,
and I believe that he's dangerous to a lot of

(02:46):
guys at one hundred and fifty five pounds. But the
activity was the same, the cardio of the pace, the movement.
It was vintage Max Holloway. So congrats to Max of
being the first person ever to defend the BMF title.
God that title is so cool man. And how about
little Way walking out dustin Borier. It was amazing On

(03:08):
to DP. DP got the fairy tale ending that so
many fighters dream up. Paul said something today. I kind
of disagree with him. He goes, I know it wasn't
perfect because he didn't win, But I actually think that
that poetic justice you get everything great, but you don't
get everything makes it perfect. Because while he didn't win

(03:32):
the built or didn't win the fight, it just is classic.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Mike Tyson lost to Lennox Lewis, and it propelled Lewis forward,
Roy Jones, Antonio tarveror all the greats. At times when
it's your time to go, you don't get to go
out uh with a victory. That's what makes with how
Beab did and what Saint Pierre did and what andre
Ward did so special because nobody gets to go out

(04:00):
with the title. When they walk away, you elevate the
next guy. And that's what Dustin Pourier did tonight. But
he got the retirement man. Whole family got to come
into the cage. Afterwards, he got the video package that
honors him for all that he's become. He was very emotional,
and so was I because I watched the kid really

(04:21):
will himself into something special.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
We deal with a lot of shit and laugh Yette.
There's a lot of doubt that.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Comes with being from there, because you doubt what you
can become. Dustin wasn't willing to accept that he was
gonna be anything but great. Now him and his wife
and his children, they live a very comfortable life at
home in the place that he loves. And he asked
me the other day in our chicken I asked him,

(04:48):
I said, how are you coming to terms with knowing
it so over? He goes, I haven't yet, And I
tried to assure him that it's not bad at all.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
It's really nice when.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
You can accept that this part of your life is
over because there is so much more out there for you.
And I know there's a lot out there for Dustin
Borier as he starts his next phase of his life.
But man, it was amazing. New Orleans was amazing. The
fans showed up, showed out, and boy Dustin Borie went
out with a hero's welcome. Roman Koppolov really had not

(05:22):
much from Paulo Costa. Paulo Costa looked like the guy
from before. He might have slowed down a bit at
the end, but he fought a beautiful fight. He followed
the game plan, he did everything he was supposed to do,
and he got the job done. This guy, uh, he
looks like once again he could fight the best in
the world.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
And that's all he's been doing so while these lost fights,
he still was.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Fighting only the best, and tonight he showed that just
because you're very good, like Roman Coppolov, that doesn't mean
that you get past Paulo Costa. Daniel Rodriguez and Kevin
Holland had a classic fight. Man, it looked like Kevin
hollen was done on so many occasions, but d rod

(06:10):
was not able to put him away, and Holland fought
back wonderfully, showed the heartened spirit that he has come
to be known for. But at the end d Rod
was able to take him down in the third and
really saved himself from a ten eight round. Holland was
dominating that round, but because he got mount because he
was able to get some damage off, he might have

(06:31):
saved himself and that ultimately got him a victory.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
But that was my fight of the night.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Patricio Pickeele will beat Danny Gay finally got his first
UFC win. He hurt him and now I see why
pit Bull had so much success knocking people out, because
it does not take much for that man to really
put damage on his opponent. Michael Johnson almost forty beat
Daniels ol Hoober. Daniels al Hoober talked trash about him

(06:58):
all week.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Daniel was out.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Hooper told anyone that would listen how old Michael Johnson was.
Mike said, I've been humbled so many times by this sport.
This will be a humbling experience for this young man.
That's exactly what it was. Vadisis olavera love dog. He
is absolutely a dog. He got the job done. Brettan
Allen and Marvin Victory.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
They fought.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
They said they were gonna fight. That's what they did.
They put on a great fight. Veritita car got a victory.
But this dude kept spinning. He had me so annoyed
put on the spinning attacks that I was mad at him.
Tiba got here once again, knocked somebody out so fast,
and it's proven to be a fast rising star in

(07:44):
the UFC. It's notm dou Lahkoff. Another guy that has
a modeling gig. On Monday went out there and knocked
out his opponent and showed patience. Showed patience that we
didn't see when he was on the Contended series.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Jimmy Cruton broke Marchine pract Neel's arm.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
To get a submission, Ryan Span Guillantine choke to get
Lucas Breski out of there. Bruno Phijeda with a TKO
over Jackson McVeigh or sorry a submission over Jackson McVay,
and Carly Judie put on a beautiful performance to get.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
The Louisiana crowd going right away.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
It was a beautiful fight night from New Orleans, Louisiana,
and I could not be happier to be a part
of it. But now it was time to my total
wireless performance at the night, and I'm gonna give that two.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
It's hard not to give it to.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Max Holloway, but I can't be the guy that just
keeps giving the bonus the total wireless performance of the
night to the main event. So I'm gonna go with
Atiba Golcier because everybody believes that he has to knock
you out to win.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
That's exactly what he keeps doing. This young man.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Looks like he's gonna take a special performance to beat him.
So my total wireless performance at the night goes to
Odd Goltier, who moves to two and zero in the
UFC with two knockouts in under five minutes.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
This guy is amazing, all right.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
My total wireless performing tonight also goes to Max Holloway.
I'm doubling up, man, because why not. It's my show.
I make the rules here again. Thank you to Total
Wireless for looking out for me, taking care of me
in the channel it. Thank you guys for always tapping
in from New Orleans. Guys, it says been the fight
we come my life. I've had the time of my life.

(09:30):
I appreciate all the support. I love and appreciate you,
and I will never ever take this for granted, take
the love that you guys constantly show me for granted.
Until next time, Like subscribe me tell you friends that
DC is doing stuff like this right from the octagon
until next time. Peace stick around. I'm gonna talk to
a coach as I always do. Coach, how about your boy, man?

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I tell you, man, he delivered.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
He delivered right you told him after that second round
stop back came straight up.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That was the same thing you guys told him.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
And fight number twos when he was getting hurt and
he's going straight back, he listened. Uh.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Did you just have to remind him? Yeah? This this uh,
this fight.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
I have to talk a lot more than uh than usual.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
But he seems to be reminded not to go straight
back and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I think the thing is too is like you heard
him early and after that, I think he's trying to
line up like a one good shot man. You know,
he heard him a vinch. I just want him to
be patient. Just be patient, opportunities will come and whatnot.
You know, just keep breaking that man down.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Man. Thus it's a.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Beast is MaTx Holloway fall in love with his new power.
This dude's falling in love with his power. Somebody got
to get this, get him under control, man.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Maybe a little bit, maybe a little bit fall the
love of power, maybe a little bit.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Hey, coach, congratulations Man, does it ever surprise you anymore
watching this man do the special things that he does? Uh?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
It does?

Speaker 3 (10:53):
It still does. Man, It's just it's incredible. I just
you know, just don't you think you've seen it all
from him and whatnot? And he just has something else
he gives you and it puts you. Takes another ten
years off my life, and all of our lives are
stress and whatnot. But yeah, man, he keeps, he keeps
the starting.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Exciting for us.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
He's an amazing athlete. You guys have created a fighting machine.
Congratulations coach, and good job.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Appreciate you loss
