Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bro, did you see the clip?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I would just gonna get on that Jordan run and.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
What it's that like? It's I like boys in the hood.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Ricky, Welcome back to the Richard Sherman Podcast. And y'all
know what time it is. It's another day with big
plays like what up?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Brother? What's good? My got? What's good? Everything going?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Man, it's good, it's good. If I if I was
doing any better, i'd be you.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
You know, hey, you set the standard. Man. I'm just
trying to trying to do my part.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Man, speaking of doing your part, you got you got
your hands on the football.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
This week, you recover the fumble.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Your defense had five turnovers, five sacks, two goal line stands.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yeah, it seems like y'all y'all figured it out. Yeah, man, Hey,
were putting it all together.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Man. Of course we still got a little bit of
left to like, you know, fix and all that kind
of great stuff. But you know, we had a great talk.
As a defense. You know, we made the plays you
want to make. But as a defense man, just me
just being in the leaf for so long, I've been
telling guys, man.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
We can't just be a splash defense.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Right now, we are more of a splash defense, day
of a complete defense, like we're waiting for.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
A guy to make a splash play instead of like
dominating the whole game not having long drives. We had
too many long drives, so we just got to get
that nipped in the bud. Man.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Too many fourth and shorts that that could go for
it on fourth down, you know, you know, we got
off got some third downs and we stopped them on
third down. But it's right now in the lead definitely
what have been going on on fourth and twos. No
matter how bad w is, they still in that possession.
They trying to go for it. So we got we
gotta get that in the bud.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
No question. You was a little banged up in the
first half.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
What happened man, So I'm gonna know, get my tackle,
you know what I'm saying, I'm finna go hit the
dude on the screenplay the rook first time playing to day.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
We just had our rook firstly time, my first round.
Rook sat to my doll.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
He got his first sack tun in his first appearance.
But as he tackling, you know what I'm saying, he
leg kicks.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Running running the shot like he like he it may botfer.
You know what I'm saying, keep it right into the leg.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I'm trying leg with them and told much it's a
four hundred pound leg that Like I said, bro, you
know what I'm saying. That's my little brother. And what's
crazy is about the story. Right, he from Detroit and
he you know, he showed me the picture of me
and him taking as a kid. I like, dang, bro,
that's how you feel about me. I can't eat the
school and supported you and say what's up? And you know,

(02:25):
kicked me in the leg.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
But nah, man, it was good for him. Man, But
I was good man, you know, just a little stinky,
but I was straight man, straighten. No big deal. Well,
there was some history made by Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
He only threw FO one hundred and thirty nine, but
he got two tugs and that moved him past his
teammate Bret far V on the NFL All time list.
Was was that a conversation in the locker room? I
mean that kind of history don't happen every day. Yeah,
that don't happen.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
And what's crazy is that I wish I knew that,
Like I ain't know that. Nobody ain't know nobody.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Maybe the offense did, but the defense, you know, we
ain't know nothing about it. So all the day show
gave him his flowers before, before anything, but he already
deserved him because you know, one of.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
The best to ever do it.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
So when I get to the locker room, I'm into
the work come tomorrow, I'm like, hey, bad, you could
have told of that.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Bad. I could get a good shot out of something.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
You may be to the offense, though, but I'm gonna
show get his come's ingrats man, because that's a big achievement.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Right, that's a huge achievement.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Well, are y'all about to y'all about to do something
that ain't ain't been done very often? Y'all about to
go to Ireland. Big play. It don't seem like you
a big play. It don't seem like, dude, you're too
happy about that. I thought you was trying to. I
thought you was coming out.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
There to do your Irish you know what I mean,
the Irish dance man.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Look, once I've been I've in the league thirteen years,
I have not.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Been excited about going to no out of country game.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I hate going out the country for work because I
really want to enjoy the view of where I'm going
at because when I get there, I ain't gonna be
able to go sight see nothing. I gotta be mind focusing,
ready to go. So I know, exciting for the fans.
I am exciting for the Ireland fans to see, you
know how American football works.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
That's for sure. I'm happy by that.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
But I want to go to Ireland to like visit
like the seed and I don't know, business trip. I
want to enjoy my trip, but now I can't really
enjoy it because I'm really locked in. And then they
put me on a week against the Minnesota Bikings were.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
One of the best and chiefs coming in the building.
M h. Don't worry about what's going on to Island
no more.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
But the thing about the thing about Big Play is
the thing I know and I've heard about Big Play
Slate is the straps.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
They travel, the straps they can't get they go on
the road, they go everywhere.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Now, one thing about it, now they hmm on, man,
we go, we put them everywhere. Now it's always gonna
be a challenge, man, always always looking forward to in Brazil.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yep, you now you're going to Island. How do you
prepare for these games?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Now, I never had to go to to anywhere crazy,
like I went to Toronto. That was the only one
I had to ever go international, Thank goodness.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Man. I went to London twice and went to Brazil
last year, and then I'm going to Ireland. So it's like, man,
the long flights first of all be bad. Then not
always to sleep be off, Like I think what we
were behind the game really at nine thirty year and
you know, so that's already bad. So my sleeping schedule
to be off there already trying to give us the
sleep schedule of how to sleep.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Make sure you sleep all all through the plane. Don't
go to sleep when you first get there.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Like I'm gonna be tired already from this plane, right,
I'm gonna get my sleep. So I just it's just
too much, you know what I'm saying. But I am
incited for the fact that, like I said that, we could,
you know, bring America football across the globe so everybody
getting the witness of it.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
So that's the only citing part about it. But I'm
not always a big fan of that, you know, I
got I ain't a big fan of that all the time.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
They eight hours ahead of the West coast, five hours
ahead of the East coast. Has Timelin done anything to
the schedule to change it to like try to semi
prepare y'all?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, of course you know one thing.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
My my team man, he do a great job making
sure we are very much ready and situated in all
kind of aspects, even on the field.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
And off the field.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
So right now, shoot usually works started by eight o'clock,
he said, Shoot, first meeting at seven, you know, just
to get us early, up early.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
And I'm like, man, I'm already up at six thirty
to get there for my DD meet. I meet with
my coach.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Then you know what I'm saying. We have other meets
we go on prov So now my routine gotta be
like five thirty, cause now I gotta get up there
and be there to eat at six, eat my brothers
in peace on.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I have to rush. Now, I gotta meet with my
coach at six thirty.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
The night t come on at seven, Like yeah, man,
so it's gonna be a little.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
It's gonna be a tough week, man.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
With some sleep, so I might be in bed in
about two more hours.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
How long y'all staying.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Uh, we're staying from Thursday to Sunday. We're leaving Thursday day,
so it's not bad. So we probably get there I
think Friday morning. And you know, I don't know how
to practice chedical bird.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
He gonna keep us updated with that. How you gonna
do it?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
If were gonna have a walk through off, we gonna
go out there and try to do something. So we
go figure that out on the on the move.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Well, speaking of the Minnesota Vikings, y'all got Justin Jefferson.
We talked about that, but it's Carson Wentz. You know,
you thought you were preparing coming into the season. You
would have thought you were preparing for JJ McCarthy. I'm
sure you know. We ain't gonna say we would prefer
JJ McCarthy, but yeah, I mean I wouldn't mind JJ McCarty.
Keep learning, but you're playing Carson Wentz, who's had, you know,

(07:17):
a up and down season, but a solid veteran. In
this Kevin O'Connell scheme, they present a lot of issues.
You know, this outside zone the running back is is
he run behind the shoulders like I'll tell you, he
run behind his shoulder pads? What what What have y'all done?
Because you see this scheme so much more in the NFL.
Now you you see it with a version of it

(07:40):
with Cincinnati, the Rams, uh, San Francisco, Miami runs a
version of it, like everybody runs runs a Seattle runs
a version of it. So how does that change your
preparation coming in this week because you played Seattle and
Kevin O'Connell, it's a version of what he's right, Uh,

(08:00):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I played against this, Like I said, we played against
us a lot, and.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I think the really just with the quarterback situation, I
think a lot of quarterbacks can like notin't gonna say
our system players, but quarterbacks, I think that's got a
great i Q that can throw on timing and be
accurate on time. I think they could fit very well
in his system. And Carson is one of them guys.
Of course, he got the ability to the stand in
the players with his legs. So I think it's a
real good, you know, good challenge for us, honestly, man,

(08:26):
because he Carson being with him in Philly, you know,
he had the keys to the offense a lot more
than now. So I think right now he's more of
a culture player like a coach player. So now he
more of a like, Hey, what you need me to
do to make sure I win this game and put
you in the best position. So I think he gonna do,
you know, do his thing. I think he's not gonna
overdo it, and you know, he's not gonna be like, oh,

(08:47):
I gots to you know, do all I gotta do.
But I think he's gonna make some some good throws
probably and be smart about it, take care of the ball,
and you know, try to make sure it's you know,
you gonna turn the ball over.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah, I agree, I agree. I think that's gonna be
a great game, a great challenge for that defense. Try
to get some sight seeing. Try to get a day
of sight seeing. Get out the hotels, like and see something.
Then look, hey, look he try to sight see.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Not right about that. I don't worry about Hey, can
I get hold to this dub?

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Try to get this win, and you know, because you know,
got that bye week coming up, so I need that.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
I need to go into the body feeling good.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Man.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I don't want to go in there with the Doug
and the you know, start off right and get the
body ready.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
So that's the main thing. Man.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I know we're going down at to Joy, but I'm
trying to come back with a win and that's the
main thing. So we go to keep the main thing
the main thing. So I catched that sight seeing another time.
I'm blessing fortunate enough I can come back.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Talk about it. You got the money, it's long, it's.

Speaker 3 (09:52):

Speaker 3 (10:34):
And they must not play a lot of defense on

Rock Bet app and try your first bet today. In
other NFL news, the Giants you see what they didn't
do it say? They named Jackson Dart starting quarterback this

(10:56):
week going forward, replacing Russell Wilson after a bit of
a struggle in the last game. I'm not sure what
he did in that red zone, uh drive that that
that that sequence of plays was a head scratcher. I
was like, it's fourth and you're throwing it. You're throwing
it out there. I thought they was gonna give him
attention around him, but I was like, it's fourth down.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
So I was about to say that would be the
second time they did it, because they just did it
right before the drive.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Like IM about to say, God, damn, Russ, what you're
doing now? Just give you boys, right.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
But but their defense was playing really well against the
Kansas City Chiefs. They were giving them a chance. So
I thought you could feel the fans. The fans were
booing the team. After a while, you got to show
him something different and again I said this earlier in
the year, but Dave bo, I mean you you.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Coaching, put your job right now. You you're sitting too long.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
You won't ever get to see him play like you'll
watch somebody else coaching. So he has to make a
move sooner or later, and they decided to do it.
This is a tough match up. The Chargers are a
good team. They're playing really good football. But I know
they feel their defense can get some stops and have
some success, and they feel like this the kid can

(12:09):
can be prepared and going there and if he finds
a way to get a win for the Giants against
the Chargers, who have been playing great football, that'd be
big time.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
That would be big for him. Definitely. Man, uh definitely
with the top around the league.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
I was saying he wasn't that kind of type of
caliber quarterback coming in as a rookie, but man, for
him to be able to get his start against them
and win, that's big because them boys are on a
hot street rolland to my justin Herbert playing like everybody
said that he wasn't in like a top five. But
of course that you know, gotta translate into the you know,
the playoff area, because that's all it was really matter
at the end of the day. But uh, he's playing

(12:42):
lights out of their defense, playing out like Harbord got
no more's going over there though I ain't lying. I
watched them on tape.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
They are flying around.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
So that could be a good challenge for his offense
and then for him to be his first start in
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
It go says a lot, man, it goa say a lot.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
And because this is this is this is a defense
that that's going and I know his defense knowing very
well as well, so it'll be tough.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
And it was just kind of you know, I know
it's a business thing, but boy, it's kind of great.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
My boy went from throwing for five hundred a week
before four days later.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Yeah, they don't wash your hands with.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
You, you know what, right right, right, Hey, That's why
I'll be telling people about the business man.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Is what you do for me? Now? What you do
for me now? Right sleep.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
You can't be a flash of the bands, you know
what I mean. You get your fifteen minutes of fame,
don't expect the jacket out of it. They will get
rid of you and.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
P on to the neck.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Nowadays, you you a viral video for a few days
and then you they own to the next person.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
So click.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
But in other news, the Texans to start the season
on three, struggling both sides of the football obviously lower
scoring offense and National Football League are amongst the lower
scoring offenses. But defenses have been having some coverage busts,
and they made a decision today to release your guy CJ.
Gardner Johnson uh from the team. And you hear Demik

(14:02):
O'Ryan say, he's not communicating, he's not taking accountability for
some of the covers bus that that he had in
the back end. You know, some of these guys have
been playing together lasted, and Pete Tree and obviously Stingley.
I think he's a little banged up right now because
he wasn't out there a lot of that game.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
But yeah, it's it's it's interesting.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
I don't remember many times a veteran getting cut three
games into the season.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
What you think going on?

Speaker 2 (14:31):
They play, man, it gotta be a lot going on
because for my knowledge is that shoot, when he got traded,
you know, they he basically was on like a kind
of like one year deal basically with the Eagles kind
of like but it looked like his three high red
looks on the paper. But then we got to over
there in Texas. They gave him some guaranteed money to
make sure they kind of like invested in them, like, hey, right,

(14:53):
we're gonna make sure you're good over here.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
So that was a good sign for that. You know,
I always want everybody to get their bread.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
But the fact that they let him go in three weeks,
that just don't sit right there.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Now, that's tough.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
That gotta be. That gotta be a lot going on, man.
And I know him as a person. Man, I know
he's a true competitor, a guy that's you know, very
you know, uh I have said, like he's he's emotionally driven,
you know, he's he gotta let take a lot to
the and the fact that you know, he's coming from
a team that's now was three.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
And oh he's oering three.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
So you know, I'm thinking they try to bring winning
coach over there, and they probably just you know, I
don't know, but that's.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Wild, very wild. But hey, hey, he gotta find a way.
He gotta find a way.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
I wish nothing but the best for him, you know,
And I know how this business is business, his cutthroat.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Like I said, we just said, what have you done
for me? Now?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
And you know, and I guessing they feel like he
ain't doing nothing for him.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Yeah, he ain't doing enough, or he's he's being a distraction,
or he's being a detriment. We'll see if it gets
picked up. Another weird thing about this this this this
week in the National Football League, a lot of blocked
field goals, including your former team, yeah for the game
that they blocked the field goal to win the game.

(16:10):
And then your boy Jordan Davis. They said he clocked
eighteen point five or something miles proble on the GPS. Slave,
what what was you thinking when you seen Jordan Davis?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Well, one thing I'm trying to tell for was like,
I'm so glad that he was able to show how
fast he is because a lot of these big guys
in this league don't think Jordan was that fast at
the combine. You know, I got Cam Hayward over it.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
That's my dog, he like, slave, man, is it's Jordan
that fast?

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Like, I'm like, bro, if you ask for one sprint
out of him and that was in his worst shape
then back then in his best shape now, But that
was in his worst shape.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
I say, I guarantee you he could beat almost.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Every d tackle in the league with one sprint, Like
you got to he's he's getting.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
And I wasn't surprised he made it eighteen. I wasn't.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
I just I was just glad that the world got
finally got to see my dog already actually get out of.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
And get going. Son, that's gonna live.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
I knew he was gonna run the fastest he could too,
because this is his chance. He don't care how tired
he was. He probably done, did the ten play driven matter.
I'm finna show y'all how fast I really am. And
he got at there because he could have just got
the bar.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
And his laid down and won the game. He said,
no tug could have risked of fumble, could have risked everything.
He didn't care. He glory. I'm about to show y'all
right now. And he got out of there. Man.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
So there's been a lot of black kids, man, definitely.
I'm just watching Wonder One too, man, and do with
the Jacks too. They almost to almost win the game,
but you know, bigger, bigger things. He playing crazy too
to do that. But man, it's it's it's been in Cleveland.
I forgot about even Cleveland did the same thing to
do it.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
So it's been crazy. Man, it's been a crazy special team. Man.
That's why I got winning.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
All three phases, and that's why three phases are very
impoortant in this game.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
No question about it, no question about it. And last
night's game was an incredible game. I thought he Detroit,
I was not expected. Lamar don't lose to the NFC much,
so it's hard for us to ever really bet against him.
He was twenty four and two coming into the game. Yeah,
and now he's twenty four and three and Detroit. Just
I don't know if I've ever seen anybody contain him
like that. Like they wasn't letting me move around. They

(18:15):
were stripping the ball from him. They sat them seven times.
I mean he threw for two to eighty eight but
in three tugs. So it's almost like, hey, still played
a great game.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Yeah, but boy, hey what the game was?

Speaker 2 (18:27):
All game come to man, situational moments, every big time
third down, they made a play, they made sure they
got off the field. That's why I think they wont
ad They won an all big time situations moments and
Baltimore didn't, you know, a big fourth down start, they
ain't stop you know. You know, Baltimore went for it
on fourth and one when they could have hit the
field going went up by that and they stopped him there.

(18:48):
So you know what I'm saying. They won all the
situational game. It was a very balanced game.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
But what's separated them with situational ball?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Yeah, I think that goal line stands was one of
the biggest things. When they stopped Derick Henry twice in
a row, I think it was like, hey, these boys
are not playing today.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Ain't scared about that.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
They're not scared of him, and they not, they not,
They don't care if it's one. Usually if you have
the one dude to like, yeah this Drrick Henry, he
gonna get in, like let's just get ready, and them
dudes wasn't thinking none of that. And then on the
other side, on those fourth downs, I try to explain
to people how hard it is to defend those insert
plays where the receiver keeps motioning down he insert, they

(19:26):
run the ball. You gotta see if he inserts, and
then you gotta get there and try to take the
tackle on the running back, and then the one play
where he inserts and they fake that handoff and you
look up and you.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Like, god, damn, I noticed, I know he behind me.
Damn hey, I'll be hating.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
That's the worst plays I hate because it's so hard
to see in and just because now the fact that
quarterbacks are actually carrying out the fakes so long and
then they stay on a block for so long. And
as a corner, the first thing we are talk is
to show color to that running back.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
To make him change direction. I gotta get him before
he get going.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
And by that time, you don't realize you're trying to
set this edge somebody running by you, and no question
about every time, man, everything and all you could do
is chase him to the end zone.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
And all you gotta do is chaseing.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Just pray that he just got some butter fingers, because boy, look,
I tell you I got hit well in that time
one time with feeling when he wouldn't be feeling who
he supposed to be. Man, the boy came in and
started with ap ap and ran for already a hunting
on us. I'm finished, like ap finna get me raped
by me. I ain't even see him run, I just
ran straight to ap like, oh.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Shit, at that point you by well tackling. I thought
you had a bottle boy right hey.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
And that now we've just see in this clip where
Proan saying he told his son not to go to Baltimore.
Uh that he said he would end up sitting behind
Lamar for ten years and he felt like it'd be
a better opportunity elsewhere to get a chance to play
and all that.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
What do you what do you feel about that? Because
I get I'll tell you what I pick. I mean
it like depending on where I'm at in life.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Like so if I wasn't if I wasn't the first
round draft pick guy, I would prefer myself to go,
you know, somewhere. I want to be able to compete
and start at you know. But if I'm a guy
that's later and around, Like so, say if I was
a fifth round pick and I have a chance to
pick who I could go play behind, and to say
that they have the corner position.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
If I had a chance to go play behind Sharan.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
You or Joe Hayden or Pat Peen all this time
in my era, I'm gonna take advantage of it because
the fact that, hey, I know at one point in
time I did go come you know what I'm saying.
I know it's different at the quarterback positions because they
pay some of them pay twenty thirty years whoever they
feel like playing. But I know, for me, just saying
the player I am, I would love to have the
ability to learn from a guy that's one of the

(21:53):
best that probably gonna ever go in the history bus
so playing this game. And you know, I done seen
it happen before guys that was behind some talented guys.
He was just behind Joe Flacco, you know what I'm saying,
a super Bowl champion. They brought them a super Bowl
there and then they're like, hey, it's your turn.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
You know what I'm saying. So, Hey, I'm a guy
as like, Hey, I like I like learning. You know that,
I like to learn. Shoot, So if if somebody doing
something that I want to be, I'm trying to go
under that wing.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
So but I understand where they coming from too, you know,
beating I probably want to sign up player.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
So I understand.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
I feel, I feel I feel what he's saying when
he's saying he ain't never learned nothing from where he
ain't never sit on the bench and been like, man,
I sure didn't learn a lot to say I feel
it feeling. But just the quarterback spot is so different
different quarter linebacker. You can say, I play in special teams.
I can scrap my way to like suiting up on
games and like getting out there getting my feet wet.
Maybe if somebody gets banged up, I get you know

(22:51):
what I mean, get a chance to get out there
on defense and do my thing.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Totally understandable. But that quarterback, if you not a.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
First round pick, second round pick, you you're probably not
playing or you're gonna have to.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Wait anyway anyway.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
And you can increase your value behind a guy like
if you sitting there saying, hey, Lamar's gonna be here
a while and doing all this, I can learn championship habits.
I can learn winning habits. How to prepare for these games.
Ho MVP of the National Football League, prepares every week,
how he reads the defense. That stuff you can't just
learn anywhere. That's stuff that hey, if you want to

(23:30):
just sit behind somebody and just be like, oh man, even.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Joe Flacco, he's probably learning some great stuff from Joe Flacco.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
But if you go to a situation like the Saints
or just Spencer Rattler and young guys. No offense to
Spencer Rattler, but he has never been to this. He's
never been to the top of the top of the mountaintop,
so he don't know that much more than you do.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
He started a few NFL games he's had.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
I'm not sure he's even had a start that he's
won yet. But sure you might have an opportunity to play,
but your development won't be as it would be behind
somebody like that, because the things that you would learn,
the habits that you would learn, the preparation, how to
carry yourself, how to watch film, how to drill you
know what I mean, you go somewhere else. And that's

(24:12):
why people draft and trade and get guys from Super
Bowl teams, because they want the they want the formula.
They want to know what's going on. When when Cooper
Cup came to Seattle, Mike McDonald was like, Hey, I'm
chasing edges. I want to know what you know, Like
I want to know how y'all traveled. I want to
know how y'all ate. Did y'all have a nutritionist? I
want to know y'all want a super Bowl like what

(24:32):
went into it and there are details. And so when
you have quarterbacks that if one MVPs or one Super Bowls,
there's a way they've done it. And so if you
not picked in the upper echelon, and I'm a fifth
round pick, I'm cool sitting beyond Lamar.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I'm cool. That's why I'm Matt too. But like I said,
I understand Dion because you want to see his son played.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I'm with it too, you know what I'm saying. But me,
just me, I like to learn and I like to
witness great this, you know what I'm saying. Like that's
like I said, that's like me saying I got a
chance to like, hey.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
They slay.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Even when I was a rookie, I had a good
chance to watch Champ Bailey workout for the Detroit Lions
in twenty thirteen. But thankfu youy, like I said, I
had ended.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Up with Sine.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I watched that workout because I am marriage Champ for
so long. You know, I was one of his biggest
fans that he never just knew about. And I got
a chance to watch him do a whole workout and
talk about me. I was like I know I was
I was a thirty six pick, so they expected me
to play.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
I'm all like, I cannot wait to watch this dude
do some work.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
You know what I'm saying, Like cause I've been it's
a big BIGGI my biggest dude man.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
So yeah, yeah, I'm with you on that. With that
part is just saying I love to be behind somebody
and just learn. We got to get you a champ jersey. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Oh yeah, I got to get a Champ man. I
got to give me a chance. That's my you know,
that's my dude.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
That's my dude. I'm a TEXTI I'm a text following
each other all to day.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
I trying to keep it cool, try to keep it
play because I'm playing, but I'm for show in boxing.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Hey, damn d dad. Yeah you gotta get that. You
gotta you gotta which one you're gonna get. I don't
even care, huh that you're gonna get Denver Chimp you're
gonna get Yeah, I mean you get it. He resk
transfer too.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
But whatever he blessed me, wh I'm gonna be thankful
for you know what I'm saying, because he just he
just represented the South Georgia so highly, and I need that.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I ain't mad at that. I ain't mad at that.
We're gonna make that happen. Big play. We go show
and make that happen.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Another thing that was said by Hall of Famer Joe
Thomas said, Miles Garrett is the most impactful non QB
in the history of football.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
It's not it's that's not crazy. I would saying he can.
It was on mind.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
We could go are Are Donald for sure, but that's
not even a question. I'm I'm about to say, Look now,
you you foremost forgot that board. I was in and
he was in First of Ball, he was in Saint
Louis and he was in Atlantic. We talking about the
Rams when ninety nine was is very special and he's
a freaking nation like so yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Yeah, man, he might. He's up there. He might.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
And then with accolades, you could put you could put
jj Watten there. Yeah, Like, let's not go crazy, Dion,
it would be it would be in there.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Let's not go Charles Woodson, Charles wols.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, let's not be too crazy now. But I understand
where he's coming from because athlete gift he is. He
is a gifted player, but he's for sure one of
these generational talent.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
But you also gotta you gotta like what what elevated
Aaron Donald's greatness even on top of the three defensive
players of the year.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
They eight all pros. The key in Pro Bowls.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
What elevated him even more is when they were in
the Super Bowl for that game he entering, Donald won
and ended the game. They lose that Super Bowl. If
Aaron Donald stays blocked, they lose that Super Bowl. Jalen
looked like he stumbled and slipped. Chase was wide open.
Burl was looking at him. Yeah, they lose that super

(28:01):
Bowl if it's not for Aaron Donald.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
He was the reason.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
So it's tough because you gotta see you want to
see Miles Garrett in those playoff moments, but he's just
stuck in Cleveland. So it's hard for me to say,
oh man, this is the greatest because when it's unfair,
But you gotta play in big moments.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
You can't just be a regular season monster. You can't.
You can't.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
The hardest games are ain't the playoffs like the most impactful.
That's when that's when the lights is brightest. And if
you're saying I never had to play under the brightest lights.
It's unfair. But unfortunately you can't be he can't.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yeah, yeah, cleaning the tough on him, man, because I
wish you would go somewhere else. I wish he would too,
did because boy, he in that category. But you made
a lot of sense about the fact that he did.
But man, he is a monster. Though I ain't allowed
to tell you well, I ain't never seen somebody the
joint practice with that man.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
I ain't never see nobody shut a whole practice down.
I ain't.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
I ain't never seen nobody move like the way he
was winning. Bro, did you see the clip?

Speaker 2 (28:58):
I would just go get on that Jordan run.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
And what it's not like it's not like boys in
the hood, Ricky. I ain't never seen nothing like that
in my like. I ain't never heard I played football
play eleven years. I ain't never heard nobody scream at
the quarterback.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
Right.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
That's crazy. That's crazy, man, Hey, that's today. That's that's
telling you, so we better get.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Your ass hold you better go. You better, boy, I.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Swear you better get old down. At least he warned him,
though he could have not said nothing right right. He
could have got him killed. Yeah, he tried to get
him killed.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I know.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
I know they watched that field and he probably was like, hey, Jordan,
you heard me, right, you heard me? Hey, I told
you to run too. You better heard me. I'm telling
you you better heard me. I screamed, now, yeah, I
could have probably just tried to block him, but you
see your monster, I screamed, yeah, listen, keep your ears open.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
But I'll tell you that it was so quick. I
saw that clip, boy, man, But I appreciate your big play.
I ain't gonna take no more of your time. I
know it's your off day as always. I appreciate you
joining me. I appreciate you man. Have a good one.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
You too, YouTube brother, I'll see you next week. Let
me know how Ireland is. I'm gonna let you know, man,
