Speaker 2 (00:21):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Here we go, Friday show, our number two. Okay, we're
not gonna go five and oh this week, so let's
not get crazy. All right, let's just understand we're just
trying to avoid an oh for five h jmak. I
get very excited. You know, I love this five or

(00:47):
six minutes on the show.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
You like a hot wind streak too, obviously.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, So I would say the game, I think Dallas
has a chance to keep it close. I do worry
about their offensive line in pass protection is not good.
It's near the bottom of the league. Jalen Phillips looked
so good for the Eagles in his first game, and
Jalen Carter didn't play in the opener. He spit on back. Yeah, so,

(01:12):
and you kind of talked me off this one. I
give you credit. You talked me out of it. I
do think the side if you're gonna bet it, is
Dallas plus three and a half. The other thing I
thought about in this game why I didn't take it.
Dallas looked great on Monday Night, so they are massively
overvalued anytime the Cowboys are a popular team. Green Bay
Cowboys Eagles play in a standalone game Monday night, beat

(01:35):
up on a bad team. Everybody goes great. A lot
of Cowboy love this week. So I decided cooler heads prevail,
not to bet it. But here's my Blazing five.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Let's blaze it up, fired up.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
It's Collins Blazon five, vikingsid Packers.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I'm gonna take Green Bay as a home favorite to
win and cover minus six and a half. This is
about Jeff Hapley, green Bay's defensive coordinator. He has built
a very sound defense second fewest big plays surrendered in
the league, over at least one takeaway at least one

(02:15):
in five straight games. So this is about green Bay
at home, where everybody's defense is better at home against
JJ McCarthy, who I don't think in the face of
this defense play clean football. He's got multiple picks in
three or four starts. His completion percentage is under fifty
three percent this year. He is a quarterback that needs

(02:37):
to play with confidence and a lead. I don't think
he will. I'm gonna go with Jeff Hapley's defense to
create some offense. Packers win and cover. It's a lot.
It's a division game, twenty eight to twenty Steelers at Bears.
The up and down Steelers are gonna lose. I'm gonna

(02:59):
take the Bears to win and cover minus two and
a half. Lit'sen. They've won seven of their last eight games.
Number two rushing offense. They don't need big plays. Caleb
does not throw a lot of picks, and at home
he's a better quarterback at home. He's only taken one
sack in the last three games. In his passer ratings
mid nineties, he has been like a lot of young quarterbacks,

(03:22):
he's been better at home. The Steelers Aaron Rodgers is
banged up. They can't run the football, and right now
they've allowed twenty five plus points in three of their
four road games. So defenses, Cleveland's an example, Pittsburgh an example,
tend to be better at home. I'm gonna take the
Bears to win and the Bears to cover twenty seven

(03:44):
twenty one Coltsit Chiefs. I like the over fifty and
a half. It's the two most efficient offenses in the NFL,
and the Colts are off a bye, so you know
Shane Steikin's going to have some tricks. No two teams
have punted less in the NFL than the Colts and
the Chiefs. And the Colts and their opponents are averaging

(04:07):
four to fifty three a game, So I'm just going
to take the over here. And their defense in back
to back games is a little banged up, is giving
up over twenty five a game. The Chiefs average twenty
nine at home. Mahomes has played much better at home,
and Kansas City is desperate. Don't be shocked if the
Chiefs don't have their performance of the year off that

(04:29):
Denver loss. I'm taking the over. I think it's a
close game. Kansas City wins twenty eight to twenty four.
Take the over fifty point five points.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Seahawks at Titans.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I never take huge favorites. I'm breaking my rule. Seattle
minus thirteen and a half at Tennessee. Tennessee's zero to
five at home. Six of their losses are by over ten.
Seattle outgained the Rams by one hundred and sixty five points,
out play them the final three orders almost won with

(05:01):
four picks. They're a great road team eleven and two
because defense and running games travel. Seattle does both well.
Sam Dartell despite the picks, PFF has him ranked number
two Tennessee's atrocious worst point differential in the league. They
do nothing right. I think the locker room may be
lost at this point. I hate taking huge favorites. Seattle

(05:26):
wins and covers thirty one to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Panthers at forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Okay, I'm gonna take Carolina plus seven. They've won three
straight on the road. Bryce Young is six and four
if you're not watching, and actually he's had back to
back games completing sixty eight percent of his throws. And
the Niners defense is a mess. It's all beat up.
Robert Salla is doing it with smoke and mirrors. They
are just depleted. And I'll tell you this, the Niners

(05:57):
are a weird team. Go look the last year, year
and a half how they've played after wins. Some of
their worst games have been after they win, and you
think they're gonna get momentum. The defense has the fewest
sacks in the NFL this year. So Bryce Young, who's
been on good on the road, playing with momentum, is
gonna have time to throw. I think it's close. I
think San Francisco, probably at home, finds a way to win. Also,

(06:20):
the Niners, despite having Christian McCaffrey, are not running the
ball particularly well. Eight of their eleven games under one
hundred yards rushing. I'm gonna take seven points. I think
Carolina is one of those teams that people aren't giving
the credit to them because they've been so bad and
so dysfunctional. Carolina can go to to toe. Carolina won

(06:41):
at Lambeau. Carolina plus seven number does not make a
lot of sense to me. I'm gonna take the points.
I think it's a game that goes to the very end.
I'll take the home team. There you go, Jmack anything
you like or dislike, vehemently.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Like the Seahawks, sort of like the Bears, sort of
like the Packers. I don't know about the Panthers. Colin.
There is some, uh, there's some juice behind this Niners
offense right now. I don't think the Panthers can hold
him down. Yeah, I would lean Niners in that one.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
But overall, hey, you're hot. What can I say? I mean,
we've been did both go five and oh last week?

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I don't hate your picks.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
I'm surprised you didn't weigh in on the Schaduer Bowl
to do her and against the Raiders, Well, let's go
to Julian Edelman.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Three super Bowl rings and MVP twelve years. Let's talk
should do her. I don't expect much. I don't buy
into the conspiracy theories. He's he's a delightful kid. I
think Max Crosby's gonna be chasing him around. I don't
like the negative plays by him. I do think he
throws a good ball. What are your expectations for Shader Sanders?

(07:51):
I mean, are they high, low, middle? Where are you at?

Speaker 6 (07:54):
I think, uh, they're probably middle.

Speaker 7 (07:57):
I think the expectation is he'll be better than last week.
He's playing a team that's pretty bad, but that has
a good defense in the Raiders. Max crobbs to be.
Max Crosby can ruin a guy's day. So anytime a
young quarterback has an elite pass rusher that he knows
he's going against, I'm sure he's gonna be thinking about
that speeding up his quarterback clock process. But I do

(08:20):
expect him to be better than last week because he's
gonna have some reps this week.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
With the ones.

Speaker 7 (08:25):
He's gonna be the focal point in practice, which usually
backups aren't.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
So I expect him to.

Speaker 7 (08:32):
Be mid better than last week, but not terrible, because
he does know how to play ball six' seven maybe.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yeah. You one of the REASONS i think The chiefs
are dangerous is because we always want to count out
the old, athlete you, know the old, gronk and then
he goes and has a great like Old Travis. Kelcey
oh what do you? Know he has nine. CATCHES i
Think Kansas city when you don't want to play The
chiefs is when if they losed or out of the,

(09:04):
playoffs AND i want you to go to your career
and maybe a year For New england when people were
counting you, out you were facing a very good or hot.
TEAM i just think champions are really dangerous when nobody's buying,
them when everybody they, hear the, media they listen in your,
CAREER i Think Kansas city plays great this. Weekend go

(09:27):
to your. Career do you remember a moment like.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
THAT i think we were in.

Speaker 7 (09:32):
Eighteen late in the, year we were struggling on, offense
trying to figure out what we Were we were doing
a lot of that thirteen personnel twelve, personnel a lot
of tight. Ends we were struggling to get guys open
on the, outside very similar to what The chiefs are going.
Through and then you, know we were playing Against buffalo

(09:52):
when they were, young and they were, spry and they
had a lot going for them late in the. Year
we ended up winning that game and that kind of
gave us our confidence. Boost and we lost a game
In december that, YEAR i believe to The, steelers which
you know that's kind of the time where you don't
want to start losing. Games is one of the first

(10:12):
times we've lost In december where we go on a long.
Run SO i think the confidence booster was when we
played that Young buffalo team that was playing very. Well
everyone thought we didn't have the firepower to do. It
we found a way to get a, win and it
took that right there to let everyone, know, hey we're still.
Around we still played in a lot of ball. Games

(10:33):
we've played in foot more important football games than most
of these teams have even played and we've.

Speaker 6 (10:39):
Forgotten that many.

Speaker 7 (10:40):
Games and that could be said about The, chiefs like
these guys didn't forget how to play. Football, yeah they're
in a little funk right, now but they still have
a lot of good football, players AND i expect them
to turn it on in the back half of the
season because they know ultimately it's the most important time
to be playing your best. Football it starts After. Thanksgiving
that's what we all used to say in our. Building

(11:03):
the real football season starts After. Thanksgiving you have to
put yourself in position to be able to compete after that.
Time but the real football starts, now and there are
real football teams. STILL i don't care what anyone.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Says you, know you guys In New, england you And
gronk were the offense in a solid run, game AND
i could argue that's What buffalo. Is the difference is
your defenses were great And buffalo's has gone into the.
TANK i do think they could use another deep, threat
but in Fairness December, january deep threats often disappear In

(11:35):
buffalo Or New england because of the. Weather so WHEN
i Watched buffalo last, night my biggest issue Is josh
is forcing, stuff so the turnovers are. Spiking they never
did With tom and the defense JUST i mean Even
houston ran. On houston has no run. GAME i Thought
houston looked like they were deeper and more physical and

(11:55):
had more good. Players do you think a lack of
a deep threat is the issue when you Watch? Buffalo
they've now lost A Pennix tua And Davis. Mills what
is the problem you see With? Buffalo because it's not.
Quarterback it's not. Quarterback AND i think it's a multiple of.

Speaker 7 (12:13):
THINGS i think it has to do with the lack
of winning outside the, numbers the deep, threat THAT x.
Receiver they really relied, on The coleman, kid who's really disappointed.
THEM i, mean you know they spent a second round
draft pick on him last year or was he a
first a second regardless a high round draft pick that
they needed him to play well for their team to.

(12:35):
Work AND i also think it's got to do with their.
DEFENSE i, mean that's not sustainable defense when you can't
stop the. Run if you force The bills to play
the way they don't want to play from, ahead making
other offenses one dimensional where they have to throw the.
Ball they're decent against the, pass that's what their defense

(12:58):
is designed to, do but they can't get there right.
Now SO i think it's gonna be tough, because like you,
said whenever we were struggling on offense or or some
of these teams that have had the older or the
quarterback only team or, whatever The Ben, roethlisberg you could
always rely on our defense or our special teams to make.

(13:19):
Play they got a big, team they got a big
play from their special teams last, night but their defense
is just not. There SO i think it's a multiple.
THINGS i think it's a lack of deep, threat which you,
know it's very disappointing that This coleman kid is doing
what he's, Doing LIKE i. CAN'T i can't emphasize that
a much. Enough when a team is relying on you

(13:39):
and you, go and especially a team like The Buffalo,
bills and for whatever, reason he's got added to, problems
like that's a cancer that they are relying on him
and then the. Defense SO i think it they're a
complementary football team when they got one thing not going
because of how they spend their money as the, team

(14:01):
it's not gonna.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
Work SO i think it's a couple.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Things So Caleb, Williams Drake may And bownicks are winning
a lot of. Games they also Have Ben, Johnson Mike,
Rabel Sean. Pateon they have really good. Coaches that, said
you have good sources In New. England aren't they even
surprised how Good Drake may. Is they still don't have

(14:24):
a number one, receiver they don't have a dominant tight.
End it's a good old, line it's not a GREAT o.
Line do you think they're surprised by how efficient he?

Speaker 7 (14:34):
Is And i've talked to a lot of people in
there AND i wouldn't say they're. SURPRISED i would just
say that they were excited from from day, one you.
Know talking to one of my main guys, there he kept, saying,
like you, know this kid retains. Information he doesn't make

(14:56):
the same mistakes he. Processes and that's WHAT i heard a,
lot AND i didn't see it last year at, all
But i've been seeing it this year throughout the whole.
Season one thing he needs to do is he needs
to stop taking, hits and that's going to come with
more time on task in this, offense because you see
him in his empty, personnel like his empty. Situations whenever

(15:18):
he's an empty he looks at his first three and
then he ends up taking off and, Going and that
tells me he doesn't know the nuances of the, offense
which means he has a lot more room to, grow
which is going to be scary once he gets that
empty package, going because they're really good with the play.
Action they got a run game, going and he's got
those athletic. Plays but the one constant THING i heard
from everyone great, attitude loves to, learn natural, leader and can.

(15:45):
Process SO i never heard, surprised BUT i heard excited a.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
LOT i don't think you. Can you can't fool pro.
Athletes AND i mean, Listen New england had high draft
picks and a lot of them on. Offense could not.
Play everybody make EVERY gm misses on draft.

Speaker 6 (16:04):
Picks it's.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Hard AND i WATCHED jj McCarthy AND i think to,
myself everybody in the room knows it's a, problem but he's.
ALL jj McCarthy's a kid that loses his confidence on
the field pretty. Quickly so the last thing you want
to do is press. Him what do you? DO i,
mean what do you think it's? Like to BE jj. McCarthy,

(16:27):
NOW i mean you had a nice slow growth because
you were not a first round. Player when you're a
first round pick and they give up, picks is there
not more pressure to perform.

Speaker 7 (16:35):
Immediately there's a lot of pressure for everyone in the locker,
room and they all have their own different forms of.
Pressure guys that are trying to create a, Role guys
that are trying to be a, Superstar guys that are
trying to be A hall Of, famer guys that are
trying to make the. Team so pressure is for. Everyone WITH,
jj they got to just deal with. This this is
what they. Picked you Had Sam darnold in the building last,

(16:59):
year are probably a competitive number where they could have
kept him around for a year and let this kid,
develop but they didn't decide to do. That they decided
to go WITH jj. McCarthy so these are the growing
pains you have to go. Through with the young quarterback
who only has six starts in HIS nfl, career you,
know it's just he's on a team that's probably a
quarterback away from being a really good playoff.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
Team so that's the only.

Speaker 7 (17:23):
Difference usually you see these first round draft, picks they
come in or these very top overall, picks and they're
going into an ecosystem that has a losing, environment a losing,
team and that hasn't been the case FOR. Jj he
went to a team that's pretty much ready to. Go
let's go right. Now SO i think they just got
to deal with, this and they Gotta they gotta be

(17:45):
able because the only people that really know are the
people in that, building because there's little things and nuances
That kevin O'Connell's TEACHING jj McCarty that none of us
outside of that building. Know and if he's seen progression,
weekly then that's what he's going to have to deal.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
With and he's seeing the.

Speaker 7 (18:04):
Growth that doesn't mean we don't we can see it
because there could be things that we don't know what
they're coaching on in. There so they have to deal with.
This this is the hand they. Chose and, look he's
in a sixth game of his. Career this is not
an easy thing to pick, up especially in the hardest
position in pro. Sport so he's got to, learn and

(18:26):
he's got to learn fast because the games are only
going to get harder as the season.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Goes one more, question And i've asked you this. Before
this is about the time Your patriot teams took. Off
explain to people Late november, Football december. Football how Did
belichick address it because you dominated the league for twenty?
Years did the discussions, change did the preparation? Change did

(18:51):
the game plans? Change as it gets cold and? Windy
by the, way rosters now are depleted due to. Injuries everybody's,
missing top, guys how does football change this? Weekend and?

Speaker 7 (19:03):
On, well this, weekend there's a light at the end
of the, tunnel or going forward After, thanksgiving there's a
light at the end of the.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
Tunnel everyone knows about the.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
Seedings everyone knows who's in, it everyone knows who's not in.
It so the urgency level in the building goes through the.
Roof the beginning part of the seasons about learning what
this team. Is the middle part of this season is
about executing and trying to get this team ready for
the last part of the, season which is the real

(19:34):
part of the season where you put yourself in contention
to play your best. Football we always talked about playing
your best football at the end of the, season and
a lot of it had to do with, health like you,
mentioned and also you know the teams knowing what they,
are their, identity and then this is the time, where,
hey we know what we're good, at we know what

(19:56):
we're bad, at we know where we're. Vulnerable how do
we make our team go, out make the least amount of,
mistakes have the best week of practice with the highest,
urgency and let these guys know that this this doesn't
come around a, lot so you have to play your best.
Football that's that's what it. Was it was just urgency.
Preparation it took a little more time to take care

(20:19):
of your. Body like you, said a lot of guys
are banged, up but you know this is the best
time of the year because there's a light at the
end of the. Tunnel it ain't a. Train those are
the that's the, playoffs they're. Coming and this is when
you start to get that second jol you know those
the middle of the.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Season you're banged.

Speaker 7 (20:37):
Up the first part of the, season you're you're you're
excited because football, started and then you get beat up
and you're trying to get the ankle, right or the
oblique ride or your shoulder.

Speaker 6 (20:48):
Right and Then thanksgiving hits and you get like a.

Speaker 7 (20:54):
Shot you get a shot of, adrenaline because you, know
this is important football. Time so if you like football
and you like to, compete you're in the right business
because this time of the year is what that is.

Speaker 1 (21:06):

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Podcasts just to show you That Josh allen does not
trust his wide receiving. Group he's second in THE nfl
in holding the. Ball, now that's usually a stat for
young quarterbacks like A Caleb. Williams as you're learning defenses
or you got a new coaching staff so you Got

(23:03):
Ben johnson new offensive. Line you're very new in the.
League you, know young, guys you, know young quarterbacks often
hold the ball a little long as they. Learned the
light comes on and you, know they learn a new,
system new. Staff Josh allen holding the ball that. Long
he doesn't want to get, hit especially last night when
he knows the defensive line For houston is, working is

(23:25):
working The bills on, line and he's still holding the
ball right now in THE nfl second, longest it is
the wide receiver. Issue it is J mack with the.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
News, no no.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Turn on the.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
News this is the herd line.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
News maybe it's time McDermott put in a call To
brian dabol who's unemployed right, now to advise the.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Offense, collin all, right let's go to The Baltimore.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
Ravens they've won four straight to climb back into things
in THE Afc.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
North.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
Interesting so we Saw Josh allen was sacked at billion
times last.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Night, well you know who else is getting sacked a,
Lot Lamar.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Jackson, yeah, Right last year he was only sacked twenty three.
Times this year he has been sacked twenty three times
in seven. Games lamar was made aware of the stat
here's his.

Speaker 10 (24:08):
RESPONSE i think you got twenty three sacks all of last,
year and that's how many you have this. Year and
if you were a game's an awesome mine by. That but,
REALISTICALLY i, mean do you feel the cumulative weight of
some of the pressure you've been get it this?

Speaker 6 (24:28):
YEAR i mean it's fright of.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Football you, know sometimes guy that gets, you sometimes they won't.
KNOW i got, Said i'm talking to my guys about.
That THE IB evenna like. That, Dude, YEAH i mean it's.
NOTICEABLE i also think the one question we've always had
about The ravens forever is wide receiver is A flowers a?

(24:50):
One and it's it's, again so pretty good defense in THE.
Afc you, know is is he holding the ball because
they're nobody. OPENED i mean that's The Josh allen is.
YEAR i know Cam ward holds it. Forever i'm okay with.
That you're Cam ward and you're a young. Guy but it's.
INTERESTING i Still baltimore just does not look quite as dynamic. Offensively, now,

(25:11):
again they've paid some guys on, defense good, players so
you know it's a quarterback's making some. Money Kyle. Hamilton
NOW i think he's making some, money so it's a
reality of.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
It, hey you got to reallocate resources around the, team And,
lamar like you, said is getting. Paid offensive line's not,
great But, colin we're being, honest he doesn't look as
elusive as he has in. Years, YES i don't know
if it's the ankle injury and what he went through
this season or is just an accumulation of a lot of.
Hits but If lamar's not as, elusive you have to

(25:42):
go get a wide receiver, then because we know he's
a great pocket, passer but the running around was his.
Superpower all, Right let's go to The Green Bay, packers
who are currently right there in THE Nfc.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
North they're in the mix for a playoff spot for,
sure but they.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Only have played one divisional game that was the season
opener number against The. Lions so, interestingly five of their
final seven games are against THE Nfc.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
North Matt lafleur talked about what's at.

Speaker 11 (26:10):
Stake all that matters is this one, game and for
us right, NOW i, mean we just got to focus
on what's right in front of, us and that's to
try to put together the best plan to go out
and play a team THAT i think is an extremely
tough football, team and THEY i, mean, shoot they put
it on us twice last. Year so our, guys our

(26:33):
guys will be, motivated they'll be ready to.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Roll so this is a.

Speaker 5 (26:38):
PROBLEM i didn't anticipate. This so five of their final
seven against the, division that's. Familiarity everybody knows each. Other Green,
bay by the, way three and seven against the, spread
colin second worst in THE.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Nfl, Yeah i'm going to tell, YOU i believe starting
this week and, again they don't Have Tucker kraft the
rest of the, year so the off does have a
hole in. It i'm gonna make a prediction that's starting this,
Weekend Green bay is gonna start playing their best football the.
YEAR i believe. It this has been it's still the

(27:11):
youngest offense in the. LEAGUE i think starting Against minnesota
they're gonna take a.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
Jump SO i said that last week against The, giants
they got to, win only got the, push did not
get the, cover but they just didn't look awesome every.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Week it's something either the defense doesn't.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Play up to what you expect or the offense is
and His Chris, NOW i did just see a report
about an hour ago out Of Green. Bay Jayden, reid
probably their most dynamic, playmaker back at.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Practice it doesn't sound like he's gonna. Go remember he
was ON. IR i forget what the injury.

Speaker 6 (27:42):
Was maybe a.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Risk now he's.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Practicing that's a huge get back because he can line
up in the slot. Outside you can do some gadget
stuff with, him and they just need.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Weapons this is a big game against The.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Vikings Christian longson played very well last.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Week watson did two.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
Tuddies if they lose to The Vikings, coling not only
do you lose your, bet but that game for The
Lions Lions packers On thanksgiving becomes.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Massive For Green bay and their playoff.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
Hopes final story college, Football here we go The Big one, Tomorrow, Oregon,
Oregon oregon. Whatever The ducks host YOUR Usc trojans in
a big. One, okay this has a lot of ramifications
for the. Playoff, obviously The ducks are heavy. Favorites i'll
tell you WHO i bet in a. Minute but obviously

(28:29):
the coaches are, talking and here Is Lincoln riley saying The.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Ducks are going to be on upset.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
Alert you have to play complete football against.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Them, Right they've shown the ability to run the, ball
especially here in the back half of the. Season you,
know they've really ran the football.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Well they've been, explosive been.

Speaker 10 (28:46):
Efficient you, KNOW i got a good group of, backs
sim idpackful tight ends A lion's playing.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Well So, no definitely did a big challenge for us.
There here's the. Thing when they go on the, Road
illinois And Notre dame Examples michigan last, year they don't
they don't defend the run very. Well AND i, said
going into The Notre dame, GAME i, said that is
a bad matchup FOR. USC i think we're going to

(29:16):
get some scoring, here BUT i don't. KNOW i Think
oregon's going to be able to consistently run the ball,
here taking it out of USC's. Hands because the way
to BEAT. Usc illinois showed you the way to BEAT
usc is long, drives run the, ball Keep lincoln in

(29:36):
that high powered offense off the field BECAUSE. USC i,
think despite what the rankings tell, YOU i THINK usc
he will throw the ball In, Oregon, OKAY i. DO
i Think oregon's passing defense has not been tested to
this level. Yet Remember indiana went Into addson and kind
of control. Them BUT i tend to Think oregon is

(29:57):
going to control the time of possession and the game.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Interesting so the total is astronomical fifty nine and a.
HALF a lot of that has to do with USC's
inability to play. DEFENSE i need to see an injury,
report AND i know you're against. This college football doesn't
really have, them so we don't know who's, heard who's.
BACK i, mean remember that Game Oregon. IOWA i Told Joe,
klatt it's like BRO i was going to cover and he's,
Like oregon should be. Fine the injuries For oregon have been,

(30:23):
massive but they're underplay because there's no injury, report so
we don't really know who's one hundred percent in.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Well oregon's wide receiving, groupings this is a big benefit TO.
Usc USC's is okay at, corner good, safeties not great at.
Linebacker they have a decent pass rush and great. Safeties
you can beat them down the field on the, sideline
And oregon has a potential to do. That But oregon's

(30:49):
been banged up for two or three weeks at wide,
receiver so you, know game time decision guys if they
go Edge. Oregon but that's Made oregon's offense a little
more sporadic is they're not quite as, consistent but a
lot of it's just injuries to the. Receivers SO i.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Had LIKED usc member earlier this because like this is
gonna be. Feisty, well you, know talk to some. Gamblers
the number one college football GAMBLER i.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Know is On.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Oregon SO i took a nine and a. Half it's now.
Ten ten and a, half, unfortunately is a tough one
for US e. Column it's going to be. DIFFICULT i.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
AGREE i, mean, listen they struggle With. Iowa they struggled
to Put. Iowa they got into a big hole Against.
Iowa you can't get into a big hole At Austin.
Stadium by the, way.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Whether it looks like forty seven and, clear so no inclement.
STUFF J mack with the.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
News well that's the news and thanks for stopping By
The Herd Line. News be sure to catch live editions
Of The herd weekdays in Neonon easter nine Am pacific

Speaker 5 (31:51):

Speaker 5 (31:59):
Share of ten thousand Dollars one of the questions is
which player will have the most receiving YARDS jsn against The,
Titans Amana Saint brown versus The, Giants pickens against The,
eagles or Devuncta smith against The.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Cowboys cowardice should be. Easy who you.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
GOT jsn Against? Tennessee, OH i.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
Thought you would go a'munra THAT jsn game could be
over in the third.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
QUARTER i don't Even we'll see it's one of those, two,
THOUGH i would.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Agree so you, know one of the THINGS i try
to grapple with or put my arms around young. Athletes
they get. Rich they're twenty, three twenty four years. Old
and WHEN i was twenty three or twenty four years,
OLD i don't remember how disciplined or UNDISCIPLINED i. WAS i,

(32:47):
MEAN i showed up the work AND i worked, hard
BUT i had a good TIME i was In. Vegas
so you, KNOW i always, think especially in football, quarterback different.
Rules can't go out and party of the night, before
got to be in better. Early you're the coach on the,
field wide, receiver off, ball linebacker. Corner so you know

(33:11):
When Ceedee lamb And George pickens the night before a
game In, vegas they're In. Vegas they're, young they go
out and have steaks At Red Rock. Casino, beautiful. BEAUTIFUL i,
mean they're, rich confident. Guys they're, young they go out
and have. Steaks maybe they have a. COCKTAIL i, Mean
i'm sure it was watered down In vegas at, casino

(33:34):
barely any gin in. It But Jerry jones was asked
on radio if that bothered.

Speaker 7 (33:38):
Him do you have a problem with players partying the
night before a? Game?

Speaker 10 (33:44):
YES i, Did but still the atom is the.

Speaker 6 (33:47):
Idea is this the business?

Speaker 11 (33:49):
Trip let's get down the business.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Now is a couple of cocktails with a teammate. Party
it doesn't appear to be a nightclub. Deal it wasn't
a foign the morning. Deal there's a report somebody was
thrown up in the hotel. Lobby it's been. Denied Ceedee lamb,
SAID i can handle my. Liquor that wasn't, Me SO
i don't think it was a party. Situation BUT i

(34:11):
would say this is position to. ME i go into.
SITUATIONS i have, Kids they're gonna make. MISTAKES i just
bake it. In my stockbroker will have bad stocks LIKE
i bake it into. Life so it's not the end
of the. World it's wide. Receivers, hey it'd be different

(34:34):
if they were from a buddy not on the. Team
the fact that two star receivers are, FRIENDS i would,
argue that's not. Terrible i'm probably in the minority. Here
it's not the end of the. World, again it's not
a Super. Bowl it's a road. Game you're with a.
Teammate it doesn't sound like it was a wild, party bougie.

(34:57):
Night maybe a little, boozy not. Bougie So i'm okay with.
It the Shaduor sanders start to, me IS i there's
eleven different prop BETS i will bet probably none of.
THEM i would, say what DO i expect From Shador
sanders in his first career? Start stefanski would rather he

(35:18):
not throw more than twenty five. Times they would rather
run the, football which they may be able to do
against The. Raiders, also you don't need to score a
lot of points against The, Raiders so if You're Kevin,
stefanski twenty three points could be. It so my guess
is he's Telling shadur is, listen they're not going to
move the ball much on. Us they're not moving the

(35:39):
ball on anybody they can't run the. Football geno throws.
Picks our defense will put us in a good field.
Position so this is one of these. GAMES i said
this About caleb against The. Steelers it's a self awareness.
Game pittsburgh's not going to score a lot On. Chicago
you don't need to CHALLENGE JJ Tj, watt you don't

(35:59):
need a whole on the. Ball we're gonna run, it
get to the end of the, game win by four.
Points AND i Think cleveland And stefanski look At shaduur and,
think you don't have to score a lot of. Points
so what you want to avoid if your schauder is
negative plays, interceptions letting a bad team off the. Hook

(36:20):
SO i think he'll BE i think it's gonna be
a super conservative game. Plan Here's Julian edelman on what he.

Speaker 7 (36:28):
Expects Max crosby can ruin a guy's. Day so anytime
a young quarterback has an elite pass rusher that he
knows he's going, Against i'm sure he's gonna be thinking about,
that speeding up his quarterback clock. Process BUT i do
expect him to be better than last week because he's
gonna have some reps this week with the. Ones he's

(36:48):
gonna be the focal point in, practice which usually backups,
aren't SO i expect him to be.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Mid SO J mack put it out. There i'm going
to do. This fourteen.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Of.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Twenty i'm gonna write this, down. WRITE i want to
keep track on this hold On Shador. Sanders let me
think of. This thirteen of, eighteen one hundred thirty nine,

(37:30):
yards one, touchdown one, pick passer rating of eighty to.
Five so put that. Down so thirteen of, eighteen they're
not gonna throw much low scoring gameplay between the. Thirties
don't let The raiders off the. Hook one hundred and
thirty nine, yards he'll have an ugly, pick he'll have

(37:52):
a twelve yard touchdown to you, Know Jerry judy passer
ratings in the eighties because he doesn't throw the ball
down the field a. Line but it will be a
competent performance and IT'S i think it's got a twenty
three twenty field to it either.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Way so.

Speaker 5 (38:07):
Interesting so it looks like based on some of these prop, numbers.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
What do the prop, Say they don't even Think.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Schudur is gonna throw for two hundred.

Speaker 5 (38:14):
Yards and it looks like In djoku may not Play
colin he hasn't practiced all. Week he's there a good
tight end. Things you Have fannin who's pretty.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Good he's the.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Rookie, yeah, yeah he's the.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Rook Cannipulling Green.

Speaker 5 (38:27):
YEAH i don't. Know i'm not as optimistic as. YOU
i think it's gonna be a very cautious.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Game what are the over unders on?

Speaker 5 (38:33):
Completions UH i see yards here ON i don't know
if you could say the uh oh pass. Attempts let's
look at pass attempts for your, guy Shudure.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
I, said thirteen of, eighteen what is what Does vegas?

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Say what So vegas? Is basically the list pass.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
Attempts if you want to bet twenty eight or more
pass attempts under minus one forty, four.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Under under twenty, eight under under twenty.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Eight maybe they fall, behind they.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
Can't stop and gent and they're trailing twenty to six
and they got a chuck and.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
Duck but you're. RIGHT i think it's gonna.

Speaker 5 (39:05):
Be a cautious game plan from Uh stefanski, HERE i don't.
KNOW i wanted to Back shador getting getting three or?

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Four what are the? Picks what are the over runners On.

Speaker 5 (39:14):
Pam, well you, know, listen there's a lot of props.
Here uh, interception so boy shedor interceptions one or more
minus two twenty. Two so you gotta lay a lot
of money.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
If you think he's think he's gonna HAVE i think
you have to bake in one one for.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
Sure. Yeah the greater secondary is not. Great they got
destroyed By Dak. Prescott Although Dak scott's a pro.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Bowler yeah, yeah, okay so.

Speaker 5 (39:39):
Can we go back to The cowboys for sick this
This pickens lamb. Thing so you it sounds like you're.
Not it's no big deal that these guys were boozing it.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Out it's not a nightclub. Party it's dinner steaks with
a teammate who's in your, unit and you have a
couple of. Cocktails let's say they each had. Three so
all of.

Speaker 5 (39:57):
A sudden you have reports from people at The. Castine
you know that one of them was. Vomiting he's saying
that's not. True, okay we do know there's cameras all
over all Over, vegas so if there is, vomiting it
probably will. Emerge here's my, thing, though you just Got.
Pickens it's working. Great pickens and Land sing to be.
Tight now they're. Friendly there's no LIKE i need more.

(40:18):
LOOKS i almost wonder if this is going to become
like a romance between these two And. Pickens you have
to then definitely keep, Them, COLIN i. Don't we're looking
around the. League is is this the model paying two
wide receivers a bunch of?

Speaker 1 (40:32):
Money, Well. Dallas Remember DALLAS'S o line is a work in.
Progress it's really young and right now really. Cheap, okay
and they're not paying a running, back so running back
tight end the reason they can do. It and they
Let mica. Go and also some of their young defensive
players we saw against The raiders when healthy are pretty.

(40:53):
Good now they're Paying Quentin, williams Dak Ceedee. Lamb you
can Pay, pickens franchise tag him at reasonable. NUMBER i
will just say The dallas's, defense when the young players are,
healthy They've they've got a second round kid over shown
pretty good, players pretty good. Play and we know their

(41:14):
first two picks in this next draft are probably a
corner and an edge. Rusher, so by the All dallas
wanted when they moved Off, mica they wanted. Flexibility they
Couldn't Afford Derek henry and eight million dollars two years.
Ago So jerry's a deal. Maker he's, LIKE i got
to be. Flexible and for the, record The cowboys are
third in the league and quarterback pressures Without micah and

(41:37):
that's only going to get better With Quinn. Williams SO
i THINK i Think jerry was right on this. MOVE
i really. Do two first round picks in a draft
seven teams are desperate for a. Quarterback quarterback will be.
Overdrafted jerry could turn those two firsts to another, third another.
FOURTH i don't think The cowboys are miles.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
Away so essentially And williams And pickens Or Micah parsons
because you're gonna have to pay. Quinnen quinn has already got.
Money you got to Pay pickens a. Lot he's gonna
get like thirty. Mili i'm okay with. That interior d
linemen more valuable than edge.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Rusher, yeah
