Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, folks, we are back on the way concept
presented by the Ring, and I don't even know if
I have words for what we have just seen become official.
Jake Paul has lost his mind and he is now
officially fighting Anthony Joshua on December nineteenth in the Cassea
Center in Miami Pro Fight Heavyweight. There is a wait
(00:21):
limit we're going to talk about, but I'm going to
tell you something. Whether you like him or not, Jake
Paul has gigantic balls and this is probably the worst
mistake of his career. Danger personified. He's going to get
hurt very badly. I think all these things and more,
but we need to talk about it the breakdown. Let's go.
(00:43):
But before we do, guys, just really quick, I want
to say a big thank you to the sponsor of
today's video and a partner on the channel that's First Form.
First form is the best supplementation that you can ask
for when trying to hit the gym and get swollen.
You don't want it to take its toll. You don't
want to feel old. You want to be able to
recover and get back to your workouts asap, because when
(01:05):
you train hard and your supplements are crap and your
diet is crap, then it doesn't really help you build
a lasting foundation for your health and fitness needs. And
something I love about First Form is their people first
and products second, meaning they are going to try to
help you be your best self through their products, not
just selling you products to have me personally. Every time
I work out getting older, I need some protein to
(01:26):
make sure my muscles recover and make sure I'm not
sore as hell the next two to three days, and
I do so with first Forms Formula one. It is
a one hundred percent way isolate protein that helps you
recover and keeps your muscles ready to go for that
next intense workout. It's not just the Formula one. I
take the micro factor. There's tons of vitamins and antioxidants
that I need every morning to get myself going. Whether
(01:46):
it's that or you're missing a meal replacement, you can
go to first Form for the protein sticks, the level
one bars, whatever else you can find on the website.
You just got to click the link down below. When
you buy over one hundred dollars worth of product, you're
gonna get free shipping courtesy of once Again. Click the
link in the description. And also First One wants you
to try it for thirty days, right, They want to
see how you like the product for some reason in
(02:08):
some other alternate universe. If you don't like it, you
could send it back in thirty days. They're gonna give
you one hundred and ten percent refund on your order.
So once again click the link in the description. Thank
you to First Form for sponsoring this video and keeping
me in great shape, feeling good and wanting to continue
on my fitness journey. Now let's get back to the breakdown,
all right, folks, Like I said, Jake Paul Anthony Joshua,
(02:30):
it's official. Jake posting this on Twitter this morning. Yes,
it's real. Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua will go head
to head in a pro heavyweight fight live only on
Netflix Friday, December nineteenth. They got the hashtag ready. Here's
the poster, and even in the poster you can see
this as a David and Goliath story here. I mean,
(02:51):
there's times where I thought Jake is a cruiserweight. There's
time where I thought even he could be a light heavyweight,
and now he's stepping in with one of the most
chiseled bona fide heavyweights in the world right now in
Anthony Joshua. And while you may think this matchup is
a monstrosity, I think the real monstrosity is the fact
that they spelled judgment wrong. Someone's getting judged for that.
Now you see the details in the poster. It is
(03:12):
the Cassea Center in Miami. This was the location for
Jake Paul versus Girvonte Davis. They're going to keep everything
the same, They're going to keep the date the same
time Netflix, they're changing out the opponent, and obviously they're
changing out the rules first Jake Tank Davis exhibition, No surree,
You're not seeing that this time around. And this is
why I think Jake has gigantic fucking balls, because the
(03:33):
rule set is as follows. Jake Paul is actually fighting
former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in ten ounce gloves in
a professional bout. Eight rounds three minute rounds each, and
there is a weight limit and that's only four Anthony Joshua.
But there is a weight limit. And there's a quote
here from Anthony Joshua. I'm about to break the internet
(03:53):
over Jake Paul's face. I'm not sure if that makes
any sense, but it sounds fucking demented, terrifying, and just
in the same tone, I would want AJ to take
this fight being there playing no games, wanting to knock
Jake spark out El Sparko cold, because that is what
makes Jake Paul or any other fights interesting, a level
(04:15):
of danger that we believe, a level of competition that
we want to see, and the details. Like I said,
fire me up, it's a professional bout. This is going
on people's records. AJ gotta take him serious, because this
isn't some exhibition. We're running out some judges to act
like there's a decision in someone won. No, someone's gonna win,
someone's gonna lose. Here it's eight rounds, three minute rounds. Again,
(04:37):
heavyweight pro about ten ounce gloves. AJ talking about breaking
internet's over faces, I think you meant to say breaking
his face on the Internet. Who knows. Maybe you can
do both in the Big twenty twenty five. But then
you have the weight limit two hundred and forty five pounds,
and people are automatically gonna go, oh god, here here's
the thing. Oh, here's the thing in the contract. No,
stop all that and I'm gonna go on a rant
(04:58):
in a second. We're all the people that thought this
was fake, for all the people that thought that Jake
wouldn't do this, for all the people that thought he
was scared. I'm gonna go on that rant in a second.
But okay, Yes, two forty five is a weird number
because Jake has already fight at heavyweight. He fought Mike
Tyson at two twenty something. But again, I understand it
a little bit. We're on short notice here. You don't
want to have a Tyson Fury type situation, which AJ
would never be two ninety coming in here, But to
(05:19):
sixty two seventy it starts to get out of the
realm of possibility of like, what are we doing here?
Even though heavyweight has no limit. I get it because
AJ has fought at this weight multiple times before, and
they're trying to create a similar at least size matchup
to Anthony Joshua and Alexander USA. And we go back
to the twenty twenty two rematch. Usik waight in at
two twenty one point five, Anthony Joshua weighed in at
(05:40):
two forty five, or at least two forty four point
five Now this is interesting because it was heavier than
the first time they fought, because in the first time
they fought, AJ was two forty. Now again you see
kind of the size they want to replicate. They want
to replicate the size of Usik in this second and
first fight, and they want to replicate AJ's size in
those fights as well. I thought AJ fought very well,
to say time around, better than maybe people remember. And
(06:03):
this is why this should not be a competitive fight,
regardless of that weight or anything else. I mean, look
at this picture right here. I know things have changed
since this time period, but this was in twenty seventeen.
AJ was the heavyweight world champion. Jake was on red
carpets for Bizarre Varks on the Disney Channel, looking like
every fuck boy that came out of the vine era.
(06:24):
This shouldn't be the reality that we're living in now.
I've sat here and I've asked myself over and over
and over, you know, what's the upside for Jake here?
What's the upside? Because he can make money with everybody right,
Jake can make money fighting Gervonte Davis, he can make
money fighting freaking Ryan Borland and Andre Augas. He can
make money fighting Mike Tyson and Wiliosaser job as junior,
and I'm just asking myself, what what stop asking me?
(06:45):
Two hundred and sixty seven million? Okay, yeah, if that
if that's a real number, there's no context there. I
don't know if that's referring to something else. But if
Jake is getting paid two one hundred and sixty seven
million dollars for this fight, I mean, this is Floyd
Mayweather Conor McGregor's territory without pay per view. This is
(07:06):
Floyd Mayweather many pakial territory again without it being pay
per view. That can't be the number. Now, there's also
this message from Jake that was on Sky Sports. We're
gonna look at a Sky Sports interview in just a second.
Jake said, to all my haters, this is what you
wanted to the people of the United Kingdom. I'm sorry.
On Friday December nineteen, under the Lights in Miami live
(07:27):
globally on Netflix, the Torch gets passed and Britain's Goliath
gets put to sleep again. I told you, guys, he
wanted this. I told you he'd be confident in it. Hell,
I was on a misfit show a couple of months ago,
And I told you guys that I thought Jake was
crazy enough to believe himself when he said I'm gonna
go out and knock out AJ. I want the AJ fight.
(07:48):
I believed he meant it because I know how insane
this dude is, how his brain has probably been altered
from his time in boxing, and he's making decisions like this.
You don't have to believe me, Jake Paul's biggest op
KSI is even saying it, like, all right, dude, fair enough,
because you can't hate this kind of level of again,
ballsy attitude, maybe psychotic delusion, inflated ego, whatever is making
(08:09):
Jake take this fight. And I don't think it's healthy
for him at all. I think this is going to
be one way traffic. I think AJ is gonna hurt
him very badly. And speaking of the insanity of this thing,
here is what the first line is. Jake as a
plus eight hundred. I have a feeling that's gonna shift
even more toward AJ at minus fifteen hundred, because again,
how could you even see Jake winning this fight. Where's
(08:30):
the possibility for Jake to actually get it done? I mean,
look at this picture from them playing paintball a couple
of years ago, I guess, or I don't know if
it was paintball, but some sort of like some sort
of aristof gunfighting. But look at the difference in the size,
and I get it. You know, size doesn't just win fights.
But Aj doesn't just have the size. He is more
experienced at the highest level. He has fought guys that
(08:53):
are smaller than him and are more experienced and better
than Jake is again Alexander Usick twice. What better experience,
I know, Usik is South Paba. What better experience to
get you prepared to fight a smaller guy than to
fight the best smallest guy coming up to heavy eight
in Usik that you could find. Yes, Aj is plotty,
and he's maybe a little stiff, and maybe his chin
is not what it used to be, but that's still
(09:15):
Anthony Joshua So. Nikisa Badeian did an interview with sky Sports,
Jake Paul's manager and co founder of MVP. He had
some things to say about the fight. Obviously, they're going
to do a massive press tour around this thing. Let's
let's take a look and listen at why Nikisa maybe
a hot take says that Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua
is more winnable for Jake Paul than Jervonte Davis would
(09:35):
have been.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
How dangerous is this report?
Speaker 3 (09:38):
This is a more dangerous fight than Jervonte Tank Davis,
but it's a more winnable fight than Gravonte Tank Davis.
Javonte was small, fast, super skilled.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
That is a fucking hot take. That's a crazy I
don't know if that's crazy, but it's a hot take.
Let's hear his reasoning.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Javonte was small, fast, super skilled. Joshua is big, heavy puncher,
but not as evasive, So I think if Jake has
the right game plan, he has a pretty good shot
of winning this fight.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
That's crazy. Now, first off, you know, a winnable fight
with Gervontae Davis. It was an exhibition, so you know,
wins and losses. We weren't really gonna be able to
count there. But saying that it is a risky but
more winnable fight, it's so hard to get on board
with even the thought of Jake winning this. Like there
there's only really I think one, maybe two avenues where
Jake possibly can in some way winning. But when Nakisa
(10:29):
says it's a more dangerous but also more winnable. The
only thing my mind jumps to is Jake is going
to have to stand in front of Anthony Joshua, a
literal destroyer at heavyweight, a literal one punch send you
to the hospital potentially in your career puncher at heavyweight,
and take the risk of eating that punch just to
(10:49):
land a punch that potentially could knock Aji. That is
why the risk and reward factor I have to think
the KISA is talking about there is involved. And you
do look at guys like Andrey Luiz, guys like Usik
that even hurt Aj, and obviously Daniel Dubois that hurt
him badly and put him down. You do ask the question,
is AJ's chin just completely gone? Is that what MVP?
(11:12):
Is that what Jake is banking on the fact that
he can touch Aj on the chin and it's been
tested so many times that Jake hits hard enough to
put him away. That is a fucking down to your
last dollar all in bet on a hand of black jack,
down to your last dollar and you're holding a two
and a three, you're betting blind with almost no chance
and only on hope that you can get this done.
That's how it feels. But again, that would be the path,
(11:34):
taking the risks at least in pockets and being in
front of AJ and throwing on throw. I mean, you
have to think he's gonna have to throw on throw
When AJ throws, Jake's got to be there to counter
and hit him in between when AJ's not seeing the
punch coming. It has to be. That's every time AJ's
been knocked out. That's how it's been. It's been exchanging
throw on throw. We're gonna do an entire breakdown on
(11:57):
how this fight's gonna go, and again the easy answer is,
this fight's probably just going to flat out go one
way and one way only. AJ's the eighteen wheeler going
ninety down the straight away and Jake is in a
fucking golf cart going ten miles an hour headed right
back at the eighteen wheeler. It's gonna be freaking destruction.
But anyway, then you have the tail of the tape,
(12:19):
the facts. AJ's thirty six, Jake's twenty eight, which again
I'm tired of hearing about the age thing with Jake.
He's getting to be close to thirty now himself. Like
we're gonna say, oh, AJ's passed his prime. Don't give
me that bullshit. Aj may not be what he was
as a sitting world champion, but he is so far
from just completely shot. And I swear if I hear
(12:40):
any of that this time around, dude, go fuck off.
AJ is six six two point fifty. Even if Aj
just wants to keep him on the end of a jab,
look at the reach. He's got a six inch reach
on Jake. And trust me, n Chloe concept has told
me the six inches is more than enough. Okay, So
that's gonna be a problem again, not even talking about
the fact that Aj is more dangerous with just his power,
(13:02):
but the jab, the reach, the extent turnover, the right hand,
He's going to be able to hit Jake at range.
Jake can't even hit him. Forty three amateur fights, thirty
two pro fights. He's twenty eight and four, he's an Olympian,
he's a gold medalist, he's won the world title. Delusional, Yes,
very rich, Yes it's insane. Here's more from the Sky
(13:23):
Sports interview with the Gisabadarian looking like my man Steve Jobs.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
They'll say it's a real mismatch.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
What would you say to them, are we going to
be watching sport at its purest?
Speaker 3 (13:35):
I would say it's much less of a mismatch than
what you saw with AJ and Francis Nagano, who a
massive man but relatively no boxing experience. I would say
it's much less of a mismatch than AJ's ninth or
tenth fight against guys who have been knocked out twenty
to twenty five times. Given AJ's pedigree, Jake is built
(13:58):
for this. Jake is built for the big moments. So
do I think it's dangerous for Jake Paul? Absolutely? Do
I think it's also dangerous for Anthony Joshua?
Speaker 1 (14:06):
No, say Jay? I mean again, that just sounds crazy.
It sounds crazy to say, yeah, Jake is dangerous for
Anthony Joshua. It sounds stupid. It sounds insane to say that, hey,
AJ might be in trouble here. But again, they're gonna fight.
And if AJ does come in and just try to
walk right over Jake, I will agree with the KISA
that it's not as easy as it was with Francis
(14:28):
who I mean, he would jab and there would be
no recollection of oh there's a right hand coming back
and aj would just pull right hand and flat line Francis,
Like Jake will have a better at least skill set
than Francis and Gano. Now Jake size will be nowhere
near France. So I don't know about the power that
Jake has in his hands to even hurt Aj. I
know that he hits hard, but this is a two
(14:49):
hundred and forty pounds heavyweight. This is not the cruiser weights.
It's not the one nineties, this is not those guys.
And Jake couldn't knock out Mike. That's the other thing
we're not talking about. Jake couldn't knock out fifty eight
year old Mike Tyson. And trust me, he tried. He
tried in the first couple of rounds in that fight.
And I know that, you know, maybe he had some
things going on and had a foot issue or whatever.
But like he couldn't knock out Mike, he couldn't knock
(15:10):
out Tommy Fury. He couldn't beat Tommy. And I know
again that was a long time ago in a different way,
but Jake hit him with a flush right hand. He
hit Tommy Fury with a flush overhand and multiple left hooks.
Couldn't hurt him. If you can't hurt Aj, if you
can't get Aja's respect, especially early in this fight, to
get him to walk onto something and then make him
pay for it, it's going to go very badly. Now.
(15:31):
Can I see a world where Aj walks onto a
right hand Yeah, I can, because I've seen him do
it before multiple times. When he gets to feeling himself
a little bit and walks forward and Jake throws that
looking at the floor, freaking overhand or jab the body overhand.
I just don't know how many times you get that
miracle punch. So if he gets one off, it better
be the one that stops the show. If Jake even
has a remote chance, I'm talking five percent chance to win,
(15:55):
it's gonna be off one of those hell Mary perfect
from the God's punches that just rocks Aj. Aj walking
forward kind of plotty, throwing out the jab, Jake goes
jab to the body overhand, over the top. It would
shock me to no end to watch if Aj were
to just get out boxed by Jake Paul Whore again.
If it was just one of those things where Aja
showed up with the weird mindset and fucking didn't perform
(16:16):
But here's another Jake Paul message to Anthony Joshua.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
Santa's got war whist for Christmas, slip that I'm gonna
knock Anthony Joshua the fuck out.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Are you fuck? Anthony Joshua? You're woothie.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
I'm gonna calm down your chimney boy.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Hey oh okay. Also there is this from Logan Paul's
uh YouTube channel.
Speaker 6 (16:39):
When you called out Anthony Joshua, Were you on cocaine?
Speaker 5 (16:45):
No?
Speaker 7 (16:46):
I don't do that, dang, Why did you do that
to be a heavyweight champion of the world.
Speaker 8 (16:52):
His chin's gone, but he's still Anthony Joshua, which.
Speaker 6 (16:55):
Is stiff and no rhythm, no skill, just power.
Speaker 8 (16:59):
You're serious about fire.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Jake has to be trolling when he says that Anthony
Joshua is stiff with no skill and just power. AJ
has skills. Dude, AJ is fucking good. He's not Alexandra Usik.
And Jake does live in delusional land. He'll even tell
you that he's delusional to a degree that pushes him
to be great. And I've said this multiple times on
my channel. His delusion pushes him to another level that
(17:22):
he would never get to if he just thought, Oh,
I'm a YouTuber, I'm a stay in my YouTuber lane.
Jake is not a great boxer, but it pushes him
past the barriers that he would have in place to
even be where he's at right now to even have
a fight with it. But that, in no way, shape
or form means that AJ is unskilled, stiff, no chin,
and just power. I'm gonna say this, We're in for
the one of the greatest nights on boxing Twitter because
(17:42):
no matter what happens, if we get a stoppage in
this fight, really, it just doesn't matter what happens, Twitter
is going to go crazy. If Jake were to somehow
knock out AJ, the entire internet might blow up. If
AJ knocks out Jake, they'll hold a celebration like if
the devil had passed. Like it's gonna say, but I
think that's it, man, I think that's all we have.
(18:03):
Jake Paul went from five to five one thirty four
to six six two forty five on the night of
the fight. Yeah, just insane, dude, But yeah, that's it.
I'm gonna tell you guys this, I'm excited right whatever
happens in this fight. Again, I don't think it's the
right decision for Jake's health and well being. But you
have to give him credit for giving us the fans
something to be excited about around his fights and something
(18:26):
to end off the year of boxing that has been
you know, hitt and miss I would say, with an
absolute banger of an event, this is gonna be one
of the most watched things this year, no doubt about it.
But we gotta give credit where it's due. Jake's a madman.
It doesn't make sense for him. He's potentially going to
get ironed out flat, but he's got some big fucking
balls and for him to do this, I gotta say,
(18:46):
I gotta t I don't have a hat on, but
I tip my hat to you, Jake. This one's a
big one, and I think we all have to give
up the credit of like, yeah, bro, he's challenged himself
and he's putting on a fucking good show for it. Also,
last thing we had words from aj quote Jake or
anyone can get this work? No, Oh my god, Oh
my god, Oh my god. And then he also said,
I took some time out and I'm coming back with
a mega show. It's a big opportunity for me. Whether
(19:07):
you like it or not. I'm just here to do
massive numbers, have big fights, and break every record whilst
keeping cool, calm and collected. Mark my words, you will
see a lot more fighters take these opportunities in the future.
I'm about to break the internet over Jake Boss, and
then we have real quick. We do have a press
conference and I don't know where. I guess Miami. Yeah,
in Miami at the Cassea Center this Friday, Ariel Hawani
(19:29):
hosting gonna be one pm Eastern, ten am Pacific. We're
gonna be breaking that down. We're gonna be breaking so
much more around this fight down. Stay tuned, stay locked in.
But folks, as we head out, it's fucking real. Jake
Paul versus Anthony Joshua December nineteenth, Merry fucking Christmas. What
happens in this fight? I think I know, I think
(19:49):
aj destroys it, and I don't have those answers, so
I guess we'll find out. Folks. Welcome back to the
Way concept presented it by The Ring Magazine Today. I
am with the former undis you did one hundred and
thirty five pound champion of the world. He was champion
at one forty as well. That's two weight divisions looking
for his third. On November twenty second, and the co
main event is he takes on WBO welterweight champion Brian
(20:12):
Norman Junior. He is Devin the dream HAINI.
Speaker 9 (20:17):
Yes, sir, sir, thank you for having me.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Of course, my man. How I mean this is the
general question, but how are you doing right now? Where's
the mind that? Where's the the How does training camp
go for Devin Haney this close to a fight?
Speaker 10 (20:29):
Yeah, no, I'm good, I'm good mentally physically camp is
going great. You know, I'm I'm super excited for the fight,
super fighter to super super excited to make my debut
at one forty seven and fight for another road title,
win an win another road title and uh, you know,
put my name in in the history books once again.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
It's gonna say it's already there. Man, You're already in
the history books. But when you have achieved all you
have achieved so far, and you see, you know, the
money that's coming into boxing and everybody fighting, uh, and
so they maybe get to that point, how do you
stay motivated?
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Man?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Because it's like you've done everything and then you did
it again. Now you're moving up to do it again again.
How do you keep motivated for stuff like this?
Speaker 10 (21:09):
Yeah, I mean this is this is part of it.
You know, this is all part of the plan. You know,
you know, take over each weight class, you know, win
multiple world world championships, and you know, so everything is
going as planned, and uh, you know, I'm just thankful.
Speaker 9 (21:23):
You know, I'm the lie.
Speaker 10 (21:24):
You know, I think I lie for it, and uh,
you know, I'm excited to be championed once again.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Hey, speaking of you know, weight classes and moving up,
how's the body feeling. It's got to feel good to
not see that weight cut coming to go to thirty
five and all the foods that you're gonna have to
cut out. You gotta be feeling better about that.
Speaker 10 (21:41):
Yeah, no, I mean, you know when I'm in camp,
you know, now these days, you know, I wonder, you
know how I was, you know, not not only at
one thirty five, but just you know at one thirty,
at one thirty five and successful you know for so long.
You know, a big dude man for sure, for sure,
you know I was fighting that you know, a percentage
of myself, but you know I was able to do it.
(22:04):
It's still you know, be the man in the division,
become undisputed, and uh, you know it was a stream
come true.
Speaker 9 (22:08):
Mindude, the sacrifice was.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Was worth it, absolutely, absolutely so going into this matchup,
like you said, debuting at one forty seven, obviously we
know what Brian Norman brings to the table, power, punching.
He's coming off a three knockout streak. You've seen him
in person. There's a little pushing and shoving, a little
feeling out process. You told him lesson muscle don't win
you fights, that powered ain't nothing. Yeah, so talk to
me about when when it is fight night, what you're
(22:32):
looking at to try to without giving out game plan,
what you're trying to expose a little bit in Brian Normanye.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
No.
Speaker 10 (22:37):
I mean he definitely has you know, weaknesses, and he
has you know, strengths. You know, I look to handicap him,
you know of his strengths and you know, bring out
his weaknesses.
Speaker 9 (22:47):
And that's as simple as that.
Speaker 10 (22:49):
You know, I'm here to show him that I'm just
you know, leveless above him and that you know he's
never he's never been on this level before and uh,
you know he's never beaten nobody on this level before
any in any any great point.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
You are by far, in my opinion, the best fighter
he's ever faced. Do you think that level of experience
you have, like you said, different levels, when it does
come to Fight Night, co main event, big stage, big name,
Devin Haney, do you think that's gonna shake him a
little bit.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (23:15):
I mean he's gonna go in there. He's gonna do
whatever he's gonna do regardless, you know. But like I said,
I'm just I'm just a different kind of fighter. You know,
it's different at this level, and I'm here to show
him that. You know, the guy said he's fought you know,
I've never heard of I didn't know that. You know,
the guy he fought his last fight. You know he did,
but he did not, not not to take anything away
(23:37):
from he did. What are you supposed to do against
the guy nasty knockout? Yeah, he did what he was
supposed to do against a guy like that, but you
know he wasn't o Devin Haney.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
When you see a knockout like that, like you said,
you didn't even you didn't even know the guy he
knocked out. But when you see something like that, I
always I find it interesting how fighters react to someone
they're supposed to fight or potentially will fight, having a
massive performances. That gets you ex because some guys I know.
Speaker 10 (24:01):
They're but before that, you know, we didn't, we didn't
really you know, he wasn't somebody on our radar, Okay,
so we would we wasn't looking at it and in
that approach. But you know, he's he's he's making noise,
you know. He Yeah, he had a great, a great
knockout and uh you know he's the man in at
one forty seven and uh so now what better what
(24:24):
better person to fight than the best person there, you know,
and become the man in the weight class.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Yeah. Absolutely, Speaking of the fight, man, I've been seeing
some training come out, you know, and we know the
Dream is known for that nasty jab, that footwork, being
able to be elusive and still be there to to
land punches in combination. But I'm seeing some power in camp.
I'm seeing he turns some right hands over. Is there
a statement to be made in this fight at one
forty seven?
Speaker 10 (24:47):
Yeah, of course, you know, I'm I'm you know, I'm
looking to to show you know, how much better I
am at this weight class, how much stronger, how much
more I can? How much better I can? You know,
my punch resistance is you know, at one say, I'm
looking to show that the best, Devin Haney. I want
to show my full arsenal. You know, I want to showcase,
you know, everything in this fight. And I don't think
(25:07):
that that Brian has the best chant out there. We've
seen him hurt multiple times, so you know, I look
to to go in there and he's looking to test
my chair.
Speaker 9 (25:17):
I'm looking to test.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
I was gonna say that's what he wants to do too.
He's talked about the left hook. You've seen it, everybody's
talked about it. He's got a nasty one. But I
like that answer. You're you're saying we're gonna flip the script.
You know, you think you're the big power guy here.
Obviously we're gonna do it within the reins of being
a good boxer and showing off our technique. But I
like this, Devin. I think that there's gonna be a
lot of people looking at that fight and saying, what,
(25:40):
Devin Haney, are we gonna get here? And because you
can fight in so many different ways, that's a I
think that's a strink you have that people don't give
you credit for. Is you you can win in a
lot of different ways.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (25:50):
Yeah, I'm a very I'm a very firstatile fighter. We
got a lot of experience and uh I looked at
show it on November twenty second.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
You know, we don't look forward past this fight obviously,
but you know you said you want to become the
man here at one forty seven. Does that mean we're
going belt hunting in this way?
Speaker 5 (26:06):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (26:07):
Yeah, I want to fight the champions, you know. I
want to fight you know Ryan again. I think that
that's a huge fight and that's a lot of unfinished It's.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
A bit it's a huge fight, massive.
Speaker 10 (26:17):
Yeah, it's a lot of question marks there. So I
think the one pound division is a great division for
me and uh I'm excited for my future in the
division absolutely.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
You know, we we we talk about the Ryan fight,
and I know that you've been asked about it by everybody.
I always wanted your perspective and what you thought happened
with him and Roly you were on that ring side,
you saw.
Speaker 10 (26:40):
I don't know, I think we're I think we're all
wait wait, wait, we're all questioning what really happened. We've
seen Ryan was off the PDS. You know, he was
in he was in drug testing protocol for you know,
around ten months, nine months or something like that. You know,
maybe a little lesson that, but we seen we seen that,
uh you know, a clean Ryan, and we've seen you know,
(27:02):
a totally different fighter than we've seen against the fight
and we seen in the fight with me. So I
think that paid played a big part in the outcome
of the fight.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah, I mean he was it was completely different, but
also really came to fight. And that's a guy that
potentially got on your radar as well too.
Speaker 10 (27:19):
Yeah, no, take nothing away from really he fart a
good fight. He went in there and he handicapped, took
the left hook away, and uh, you know, Ryan had
no answers.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
When you look at this fight between you and Brian
Norman Junior, there has been a little side story. And
I know that this happens pretty much with all of
your fights. You know, your dad, Bill Haney is one
of the best talkers probably in the sport. I'll be honest.
He's the most entertaining man anytime I'm on stage with him.
He's hilarious. Have you seen some of this back and
forth between him and Brian Norman Senior? And do you
(27:49):
make anything of it at all or is that just
business as usual?
Speaker 9 (27:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (27:53):
No, I mean, you know, it's it's it's this is
the case in all of my fights. So I'm used
to it. Like I said, I'm gonna go in there
and do whatever I'm gonna do, regardless of you know,
what they say or what they or what they don't say.
And I think He's gonna do the same, uh, you know,
in return.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
So this camp, can you give me a focus for
what it's been because you've you've talked about getting better
with your power, but what's when you walk into the
gym every day? You know. I've been a part of
some some different camps where fighters have like a mantra
or a saying or or or a theme for the camp.
What's the theme for this this camp? For Devionnaty, I
can't really say a theme, you know.
Speaker 10 (28:30):
I just want to be the best Deva Haetey that
that I that I can be. And this training camp
that's what I've been you know, focused on. I've been
trying to, you know, improve on the things you know
my weaknesses and you know also you know, make my
strengths even even better as well. You know, I'm looking
to to to be the best Deva Haney on November
twenty second, and the world is gonna you know, see.
(28:53):
You know, you know we can look back at the
Ramiers fight and you could say what you want to say,
But Brian Norman is not Ramirez. You know, we fight
every every guy different. Ramires is not Loma, Loma is
not Ryan. Ryan is in Regis. You know, we've we've
brought every every fighter are different. So you know, come
to come this fight, you guys will see a different
(29:13):
Deba eating than you guys seen in in every other fight.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I think people were really excited for that. Devin. You
feel like a guy that's more mature than the age
you are.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
Man.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Every time I hear you talk, there's not a lot
of controversy. Sometimes there's some pushing and shoving outside of fights,
but we're fighters, right, Yeah, But where does that come from?
Is that come from Bill? Does that come from just
your life experience? You you seem like you got a
good head on your shoulders and you don't really partake
in a lot of the stuff that usually gets guys
sidetracked in this sport.
Speaker 10 (29:40):
Yeah, I mean I've been I've been doing this for
a while now at the at the top level. You know,
you know, I got a jump starter, you know, in
front of a lot of guys my age, most of
the guys my age. So you know, I just just
just been through some stuff. Uh, learned a lot and
this this.
Speaker 9 (30:00):
Is the result. Here I am.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
There you go. When you get into this fight fight week,
I should say it's in riott, it's a little bit
of a change of scenery, right, So I'm sure we're
trying to get prepared for that. But the last time
you guys have kind of been around each other for
an extended period, it always comes to pushing and shove,
and how do we avoid that during fight week? I
don't need to see anybody getting atomic wedge eed or
getting their shirt pull overhead. What are we doing? We
(30:23):
got to avoid that, right.
Speaker 9 (30:25):
Yeah, I mean, it's it's the fight game.
Speaker 10 (30:29):
Yeah, at the end of the day, when you put
two fighters in the same room together with no security,
no nothing, then you don't know what's bound to happen.
Speaker 9 (30:38):
So maybe they'll keep us away this time, maybe not.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
We'll see I just can't see. I can't see anybody
getting their head put through their shirt again. That was
crazy work. That was insane. But okay, so let's let's
let's do some some mind games here. We get to
fight night. Devin Haney is across the ring from Brian Norman,
Junior WBO welterweight champ Chip on the line bell rings.
Speaker 9 (31:01):
What happens, Devin, We gotta see, we gotta see.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
You know, that's that I get it out of you.
Speaker 9 (31:07):
Throat has to tune in.
Speaker 10 (31:08):
I've bember twenty seconds to see, you know, Devin Haney
shows up with Brian Norman shows up. How the styles
you know, clashed against each other and who's the better man.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Do you think though, that he'll take you know, some
of the the I don't want to say notes, but
things that what's ire Mirus tried to do and walk
you down and try to put you in different positions
on the back foot. You think that's how he's gonna
approach this.
Speaker 9 (31:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (31:28):
I think I think he was, you know, going there
and come come and try to come forward and you know,
do do what do the same thing that he's done
in his past fights.
Speaker 9 (31:39):
Yeah, yeah, And I'll be there to meet him.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
I did want to give you I.
Speaker 9 (31:43):
Won't be hard for him to find.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Oh, okay, talk that talk, Dev, I wanted to Uh,
I wanted to say this too. I went back and
watched those ear mirror's performance and granted, there wasn't a
lot of punches thrown, so when there were moments where
you counted off that back foot, you were catching them
with some nasty stuff, man, And I was like, this
didn't get looked at in real time the way I
think it deserved. I was like, oh, snap, when you
(32:06):
sat down on punches, I saw some of that power
come out.
Speaker 10 (32:08):
Then.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
I can't wait for it at forty seven. But let's
do this, Devin Hainey picks because you're on a card
full of champions. I mean, it's called Knight of Champions
for goodness sake. Yeah, give me some picks here if
you can. Let's start with Bam Rodriguez versus Fernando Martinez.
Who you got, man?
Speaker 10 (32:23):
I think Bam for sure. I Mean I don't know
much of his opponent, but I think bamash is. You know,
he's crazy talented. I've been knowing him for a while,
so I think he's just, you know, one of the
best fighters in the world.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Super, super talented man. He's gonna I think he's gonna
get in front of a lot of eyes that maybe
haven't seen him yet, and he's gonna show out. How
about a Bill and Mason versus Sammy Noaks, same thing?
Speaker 2 (32:44):
What I do.
Speaker 9 (32:45):
I think that he has, you know, a lot of
talent and a lot of potential. I haven't seen you know,
Sam a bunch of big punch.
Speaker 10 (32:55):
Yeah, I haven't seen him fight, so I see, Uh,
you know what with my opinion you saw for that,
I think I do this should win.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Now with your fight, can I get a prediction how
it goes down? Do you know kind of in your
mind what you want to do here?
Speaker 10 (33:07):
Yeah, I mean you know, I know that I'll be victorious,
and uh, you guys, Now, you guys got to tune
in on.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
I got to see how to see how right we
got the victory. We's got to see how I got
you main event, and that's a fight.
Speaker 10 (33:22):
That's the fight I want to stay away from because
you know, I really like Bena Videz. Benavidez is a
guy who you know, we've we've been training out of
the same gym in Miami. You know, I've been a
fan of him for a long time. I think that
he's uh, you know, another poundful pound talent, you know,
a great fighter. And Anthony Yard is you know, a
guy that came up from you know, my dad helped,
(33:44):
you know, make this fight, you know, make that fight happen.
You know, my dad brought that fight to the table too,
you know, you know, his excellency you you know, and
you know real season and you know, making this fight happen.
So that's just a fight that that I'm happy to
uh you know watch, you know, be a fan of.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
And uh yeah, sure, sure, I hear you. Just a
couple more for you would get out of here. What
are your thoughts on this rumored many pak Yao Roly
fight coming up.
Speaker 9 (34:13):
I think it's a good fight.
Speaker 10 (34:14):
It's a good fight for boxing, it's good sty it's
a good fight, you know, stylistically, and uh yeah.
Speaker 9 (34:20):
No, I'm I would definitely turn in and watch that fight.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Let's just say, all right, let's just play. Let's just
fantasize here. What if if Many were to do it
and get a win, would you go and fight Manny
Pack y'all.
Speaker 10 (34:33):
Yeah, of course, I think that that's a huge fiight
for boxing. You know, he would be coming with a
road title if he was to be you know, Roly,
I would be coming with a road title when I
beat Norman. And uh yeah, no, I think it'll be
a great, great fight for boxing, huge spikee for boxing.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
And yeah, okay, all right, well, Devin, I don't have
anything left for you, but I want you to do
something for me. Tell the fans, your supporters, the people
that watch this why they should tune in. Outside of
all the accolades, you're one of the best in the sport.
But what's so special about this night November twenty second.
Speaker 10 (35:06):
Yeah, no, there's not, you know, outside of accolades. You know,
this is just a great fight for boxing, you know.
You know, Brian Norman is the best guy at one
forty seven and I'm coming up to the weight class
to be a challenger, you know, and show wow why
I'm one of the best fighters in boxing. You know,
one while I'm a powerful pound talent, you know why
I've been a top for so long.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
One of the best. And I will give you this
credit that a lot of people I don't think do
you seek out tough fights. It's one of the things
I think you and Bill don't get enough credit for,
is you have sought out some tough, tough people when
no one else wanted to do it.
Speaker 8 (35:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (35:39):
I mean, this is a tough fight on paper, but
I let you go in on November twenty second and
make it easier.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
He's looking to make it easy. November twenty second, catch
him in the co main event of Ring four Night
of Champions Devin Haney jumps up another weight class to
contend for the WBO Welterweight Championship of the World. He's
taken on Brian Norman Junior. You guys will see it
November twenty second. Devin, appreciate you joining me, man, Thank
you so much.
Speaker 8 (36:02):
Folks.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Welcome back to the Way concept presented by The Ring Magazine.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
Today.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
I am joined by the WBC light Heavyweight at Being
of the World. He's thirty and oh they call him
el Mone's throw. It's none other than David ben a Vitaz.
Speaker 5 (36:17):
David.
Speaker 8 (36:17):
How you doing, my man, I'm doing great, man, Thank
you for having me on. And it's just, uh, you know,
it's just a pleasure and a blessed to be here
with you guys.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Awesome brother Listen, this is no doubt about it. One
of the most fun fights I think of the year.
Coming up November twenty second, you, Anthony Yard Henriade Night
of Champions, You get to headline a card full of champions.
Just talk to me really quickly about what that means.
It seems like it's now elevation time finally for David Benavidez.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (36:46):
I'm just really excited, man.
Speaker 11 (36:48):
This is something since when I followed the undercard of Tank,
you know, we had made that happen because that was
something that I was kind of trying to manifest. You know,
I wanted to be that type of fighter that fights
with the card with other great champions. So that one
was the first step really to make in cars like
that happen. And after we got that card done, it
kind of seemed like everybody started to follow in that direction.
(37:10):
There was cards being made of you know, different champions
on the same card. So and now you know, I
paid my dues. I had took the Cole Maine event
spot with Dravonte Davis, and now this time, you know,
it's paying off because now I'm the main event on
a on a card full of champions. You know, you
got Devin Haney, you got Abdulah Mates, and you got
bam Man Rodriguez, and you know, it's it's it's definitely
(37:32):
gonna be a treat for the for the fans. And
I'm very excited, man. All these fights, you know, they
could be made event on their role, you know, So
I'm very excited, not only for myself but for the
fans because this is gonna be an amazing night of boxing.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
I agree with you, man, and I also agree with
you that you know, once you had that fight versus Wutzigen,
I didn't know if people would really understand how much
that win would catapult you because you're fighting a guy
whose only loss at that point was the Archer Better
Beev and he was a tough out for Archer Better Beef.
It wasn't an easy fight, and you made that fight
(38:06):
look a little easier than I thought it was gonna be.
And I was there that week in Vegas, and I
remember talking to you in Vegas. I didn't know how
big you were. I was like, oh man, this guy
is really gonna step up at the one seventy five
and make some noise what you already had been before
and that moment and then the morel fight and now
it just feels like each fight your name is getting
bigger and bigger to you.
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Is that how it feels? And how are you handling
all of that?
Speaker 8 (38:30):
Yeah, definitely, every fight gets bigger and bigger.
Speaker 11 (38:33):
With that fight when I fought I don't know if
we didn't we didn't really speak on it because I
was that fight. When I fought Bosic, I had gone
through a lot of injuries. You know, I in my opinion,
I should have stopped him, but I had torn my
liquafit on this hand, I had an injured left hand.
I had got a cut in my eye three weeks
before the fight. So it was it was a tough fight,
(38:54):
not only because not because the fighter, but because everything
I had gone through. This is the type of stuff
you have to go through as a boxer. You know,
sometimes you're gonna have to be dealing with injuries fighting,
you know, with cuts and this and that. So that
not only did that fight taught me a lot about myself,
you know, It's showed me that I have the heart
of the champion. And and no matter what obstacle gets
(39:15):
put in front of me, I will prevail. But you
know it was a great performance, you know it. It
was a great card. And then after that fight, we
fought David Morrell. So every every fight keeps getting bigger
and bigger. But this is what we worked for, you
know what I mean. I knew my time was gonna
come sooner or later. You know, I'm professional now thirteen years.
I've been boxing twenty five years, so I've been waiting
(39:38):
for my moment, man, And not only been waiting for
I've been working for it, you know, since while i
was wlaiting. So you know, I'm just very excited. I'm
very happy, and I'm very blessed, you know what I mean.
And I just I'm just keeping I just continue to
work harder and because I definitely do want to be
the face of boxing, and I know that's possible.
Speaker 8 (39:55):
You know, with hard work, anything as possible.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
It absolutely is.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Man.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
And there's videos of you when you're you know, you're younger,
you're a kid, and you're in the background of some
of these videos and boxing gyms, and I'm seeing you
just fall in love with the sport in real time.
I think that's the coolest thing. I mean, there's a
lot wrong with social media and the big twenty twenty five,
but one of the coolest things we get is we
get like a video documented journey of you know, kids
(40:19):
getting into the sport like yourself and you know, being
able to grow in the sport in front of our eyes.
And that's what I've really seen. And I've talked to people,
I've talked I don't know, you've been in camp and
been in there with bj Flores. I talked to him
when he was kind of on his way out of
his career and you were coming up, and he was like,
that's when I knew I needed to get out because
that kid was a monster and I didn't want any
part of him. He's I mean like stories like that.
(40:41):
I've heard about you in the sparring rooms, and then
obviously now to see it in front of the bright lights,
it's just it's really cool to see for me, and
it does show me that that, you know, there are
some guys in this game that box for money. There's
some guys in this game, especially with the money coming in,
that that's the end goal for you. You said you
want to be the face of boxing. And I can
see that in those videos back then. I can hear
it in BJ Flores' his voice when he talks to
(41:02):
me about the hunger you had, then, how do you
keep that hunger?
Speaker 2 (41:06):
For me?
Speaker 11 (41:06):
I've never really worried about the money. I've always said
that if you do your job right, the money's gonna
come in on its own. And I've always I've always
had that nice say, even since I was a little
kid man, even since I was fourteen years old sparing
world champions. I knew that if I did my job
right and I beat the guys that people say I
can't beat, the money will come on it's own. For me,
(41:28):
what motivates me more in the world is the accolades
of boxing, the world titles. You know, I definitely do
want to be on that mount rushmore of boxing than
Mountain rushmore of boxing and by the time I'm done,
so that that's really what motivates me, and that's what
keeps me going every day. Also what keeps me going
is I think people could see in real time who I.
Speaker 8 (41:50):
Was back then, who I am now. You know, when
I was a.
Speaker 11 (41:53):
Little kid, I was a fat little kid. You know,
I was never the first pick. I was never the
first pick of anything. I was not the strongest, I
was not the fastest. I was really overweight. I had
bad eating habits. I had bad habits, and I feel like,
what's good about me, Now, what's good about me is
(42:14):
that people were able to see that. So you know,
sometimes people have the same habits I have. You know,
people are overweight people, they're not the strongest, they're not
the fastest. But what I have by myself is I
never gave up with myself. I had a dream and
I was not gonna stop. But I was not gonna
quit until I see my dream man fest. And I
think just by having the story that I have, I
(42:35):
can motivate a lot of people. I can motivate a
lot of kids. I can motivate a lot of young
men that maybe sometimes they don't believe in themselves. Sometimes
they might think their dream is far fetched. But what
you can guarantee yourself is how hard you work. You know,
for me, said, I always told myself, I said, you
know what, if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out,
but I'm gonna give my heart and soul into this.
(42:56):
And if I walked away from the sport, and I
don't making nothing out of it. At least I know
for myself that I put everything into it. Thankfully, for me,
me putting everything into it meant me becoming world champion
and me making my dreams come true. But I don't
feel like I'm different from anybody else. I feel like
what just makes me different is that I'm not gonna
put You know, I'm gonna keep going and I'm gonna
(43:18):
keep working, and no matter what obstacle is put in
my way, I'm gonna keep going. But that's something that
other kids can learn from themselves too, you know what
I mean. And it's not even about boxing, It's about
everything in life. If you put hard work, whether it's football, basketball,
you know, you want to be a programmer, or you
want to be a car salesman, whatever, the one thing
(43:39):
that you gotta do is make sure that you put
more work in than anybody else and you will achieve
whatever it is that you're looking to achieve.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Yeah, man, I love that message. Is that something that
you know you talked about, you know, being the kid
that no one picked first, being the kid that maybe
was overlooked a little bit. Is that what keeps that
chip on your shoulder too. Is that maybe some of
these other guys when they were younger or looked at
that is the big prodigy prospect, like you're the one
that's gonna lead, especially the US boxing, which you know
we have for a long times wanted to see the
(44:07):
resurgent and hear it comes with you and guys like uh,
Devin Haney and Shakura and others. Is that what especially
early on was was able to keep that chip on
your shoulder like, Okay, you're looking at that guy, You're
looking at this guy, but here I come.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (44:20):
I think for me, controlled anger was the biggest motivation
I had because when I was walking the gym, like
I said, way, people looked at me and I would
hear them laugh.
Speaker 8 (44:31):
And be like, all these guys, he's not this, he's
not that. Oh we're gonna beat his ass. He's gonna
do this and that.
Speaker 11 (44:37):
So that having that anger, you know, I told myself
in my head, all right, they're gonna they're saying this
and that, Obama, I'm going there and'nna show them. And
I've always let that motivate me. I've always I've always
fought in this way that I fought like the way
I fight in the ring. Now they call me the
monster because I'm in there, I'm putting pressure. I'm trying
to knock people out because this is the way I
had to fight when I was a young kid, because
(44:58):
that's the only way that I would win, might respect,
And it's the same thing now, you know. I mean
I always had that chip on my shoulder, man, And
sometimes when you know how to control that, that could
lead you into success. You know, sometimes you need people
to say you can't do something. You need people to laugh,
you need people to say, oh, he's nothing, he's never
gonna be nothing. He's this and he's that, because that's
what's going to motivate you and that's what's going to
(45:19):
catapult tune to the next level.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
Yeah, man, I love that message. Let's let's transition and
talk about this fight.
Speaker 5 (45:24):
Man.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
This this is a big fight for your world title
on November twenty second main event. What do you look
at this fight and see without you know, game playing
stuff just in your mind? What does Anthony yarbring? How
do you see the fight kind of playing out in
your head? Is this one of those just bangers of
a Fight's a David Morel style where both guys are
all gonna go toe to toe and whatever happens happens.
(45:45):
Or are we looking at more of a technical, slick
kind of matchup. What do you think?
Speaker 8 (45:50):
No, for me, every fight like I just like I
said to you right now, every fight, for me, I
gotta go in there.
Speaker 11 (45:55):
And give my respect. I gotta give respect. I have
to put it in the mind of the fight that
I fight that oh wow, this dude is the monster.
If they're not thinking like that, by the time my
fight has done with them, I didn't do my job.
I didn't do my job right, you know. So for me,
he says, I'm gonna back up, I'm for sure not
gonna back up. You know, I'm gonna take my opportunities.
If I see any openings, I'm gonna go for the kill,
(46:17):
you know what I mean. But what I want to
do is, you know, I want to make sure that
Anthony yartt remembers me for the rest of his life.
And you know, he's gonna say that I'm the best
fighter in the world, and not only him, everybody else
in that division.
Speaker 8 (46:28):
They're gonna see that I'm the best fighter in the world.
Speaker 11 (46:30):
And you know, at the end of the day, you
know whether you whether you age gladiators. I don't want
to go in there.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
I don't.
Speaker 11 (46:36):
I've never been that type of fighter where fighters where
people of boxing fans going there be like, oh man,
that that fight was kind of boring.
Speaker 8 (46:43):
Every time I go in there and they're like, man,
this is a great fight. I can't wait to see
him again, and it's gonna be the same thing. I'm
gonna go in there.
Speaker 11 (46:49):
I'm gonna leave it all on the line. I've been
training for like about four and a half months. I've
been going hard every single day, so I'm I'm ready
to leave everything in the ring.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
That's definitely something different about you, David. You especially for
American boxing, you don't see as many guys that take
that mentality, like every fighter has that mentality like it's
a fight, we got to go in there and lay
it all on the line. But you see, you know
a different mentality from a lot of guys that want
to be more technical, slick, don't get hit, you know,
the Marcus of Queensberry hitt and don'tet hit, which is
obviously everyone's goal. But your attitude and you got some
(47:20):
nasty and some spie. That's the stuff that fans love,
and I think that's the stuff that in the end,
boxing should be like, yes, I can go and win
a match, or I can go and win a fight.
And every time you step in it seems like you
want to go in and not just like you said,
win a match, make the fighter remember your name. That
gives me cold chills, man, like that right, there is
some real stuff. Is that stuff you learned again just
(47:42):
sparring some world champions early on, just being like this
is what it is man?
Speaker 8 (47:46):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 11 (47:47):
I feel like sometimes the fighters that just want to
go in there and just have a technical match and
just use the raining and run around the ring is
because they don't really train as hard as they need
to train. You know, for you to go in there
and actually be able to throw as much shots as
you can, you know, you have to work really hard.
You know, this is not a game where you could
just train five six weeks. You have to for you
(48:09):
to go on there and throw everything for every single round,
for twelve rounds, we have to train for months and months,
and that's I think that's what sets me apart from
other fighters. The fighters don't understand that a two month
training camp.
Speaker 8 (48:19):
Is not enough. You have to do three, four, even
five months.
Speaker 11 (48:24):
And also what motivates me to fight this way is
you know, you remember how it was like when you
when you would see a Manu Pack y'all fight, right
when you were to see when you were to see
an Oscar de la Joya, you will see a Trinidad.
You know, these fighters going out there, These are the
fighters that really bought excitement to the sport, you know
what I mean. And that's really that's the type of
fighter that I want to be. I want the young
(48:46):
generations to remember me like that, like how I remembered
Oscar de la Joya.
Speaker 8 (48:51):
Many Pack y'all, Roy Jones Junior.
Speaker 11 (48:54):
And you know that That's That's been my motivation, man,
And I'm gonna do everything in my power to make
sure that that happens and I'm remembered, you know, and
and the I remembered as one of the greats of
boxing history.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
I love that transition. Just to for a quick second.
I know obviously you saw the Canelo Crawford matchup. I
know now you're at one seventy five, so this this
conversation doesn't necessarily take shape the same way as it
maybe did two three years ago. What did you think
of that fight and now that Crawford did win. I
know that's a little bit of a stretch to make,
but would that be something you'd ever be interested in?
Speaker 11 (49:29):
No, to be honest with you, I'm done with one
sixty eight. You know, I'm a big guy. Who's hard
for me to make one sixty eight.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
I like, I don't. I don't know how you are
at a camp, but I'm two whole five. I stood
next to you and I'm like, he might be bigger
than me. I understand it.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
I get it.
Speaker 11 (49:44):
So but I was at super middleweight for eleven years,
you know what I mean? There was no big fights.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
There was time then if you wanted to do it
the right, Yeah, there.
Speaker 8 (49:55):
Was time then.
Speaker 11 (49:56):
You know, I'm just trying to get a fight with
Canelo that never happened. So it's like, you know what
I'm I'm gonna let Crawford have all his glory, you
know what I mean? He went up three different weight classes,
great Panelo, he and let let let him have his glory,
you know what I mean? I hate when people somebody
does something and then somebody from a different weight class,
and oh yeah, I'm gonna go back now and this
and that.
Speaker 8 (50:15):
But you know it's all they're just just talking a lot,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (50:19):
I'm not gonna say that I respect for afford a lot,
you know, And I have no business on on sixty.
You know, my My business is at one seventy five,
you know, with all these world champions and all these
other big fighters. You know, but Dmitrian Viovile are to
better be of and maybe e're any cruiserweight, you know
what I mean when I go up fights through the Ramirez.
Speaker 8 (50:38):
So you know these are different.
Speaker 1 (50:39):
Interesting come on now, going on now that one right,
there's a banger too. Talk to me about this though,
because because you mentioned other world champions, obviously we're not
overlooking Anthony York at all. But let's say that you
know those matchups can materialize. I know that you've spent
some time in the gym with guys like Dmitri Vievo,
and you're very familiar with that. Talk to me about
(51:01):
what what opponents you think would you know be next
on your radar if and win, you get the job
done on November twenty second.
Speaker 11 (51:08):
Yeah, So those are those are fights that we have
on the table. Dmitri b will not so I was
in number one to fight for him. No, I wasn
in line to fight for his titles. But because he
had that back surgery, that doesn't really look like it's
gonna happen next.
Speaker 8 (51:23):
So maybe we're looking at better Biev or sure De Ramirez.
Speaker 1 (51:28):
So okay, right away, you're like you like that cruiserweight
division right away potentially you.
Speaker 11 (51:33):
Know, like like like you said, I'm trying to have
every fight bigger than the last, you know what I mean.
And I believe in myself. I believe in my skills.
I used to sparstool the Ramires, so I know him
very well. So maybe after this fight, we go and
we could get that fight. Like I said, you know,
I'm in a good position because you know, I've really
made a statement for myself and you know, I'm I'm
really that fighter that could fight the pay per view fights,
(51:56):
that could sell out the arenas, that could have these
big fights. So I think the other like Sworder Ramirez,
that would being his best interest to fight me as well,
because it'll be a big fight and we can make
it happen, you know, maybe may fit them next year. Well,
first things first, I gotta go in there, take care
of my job as in the yard, and then we'll
see what's on the table.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
I love that, man, I know that. You know it's
it's it's so tough to plan the future when when
you got business to handle right in front of you.
But I always think it's such a good idea for
fighters to have something in their mind, right because you
always get to the end of that that fight and
and you know, God willing, you get the victory, and
you kind of sit there and you're like, Oh, whatever's
next is next. Sometimes if you're able to create that
(52:35):
next thing for fans to latch onto, which you have,
it gives them a reason to be excited for that
next thing instead of I you know, we'll see David whenever,
you know, whenever he decides to come back. You have
that plan involved. I love that. But we'll get back
to your your main event. But I want to ask
you one question really quickly. You talked about being on
Mount Rushmore, and I keep hearing you talk about greatness,
and I wanted to ask you this earlier, and I
(52:56):
kind of forgot what who is on David Benavidez, Mount Rushmore.
I know you talked about Manny, you talked about Trinidad,
you talked about some of these other fighters. Who are
the guys that you looked at and said, those are
the best boxers I've ever seen.
Speaker 11 (53:08):
So I'm gonna go from the old school boxers first,
I'm gonna do I like Roberto Duran, I like Mike Tyson,
Mike Tyson, I like Alexis.
Speaker 8 (53:22):
Argueyo Man and then.
Speaker 11 (53:28):
Roy Jones, Junior, Evander Holyfield, Mark Antonio Barrera, Eric Morales,
Juanne Marquez, Manny Pacyall so, now this is a new
age fighters. Oh, I forgot Floyd Mayweather. You gotta throw
Floyd Mayweather in there.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
I gotta have Floyd in there.
Speaker 11 (53:50):
Got gotta have Floyd. And now I like USI. Usik
is a great fighter. You know, he has tremendous heart,
and you know, I feel like he's really the epitome
of what a is not only just shrink and power
but heart also dona to be Lufkin in a way,
Terrence Crawford, And yeah, that's that's really it for right now.
(54:12):
But those of those of the guys that really to
meta themselves as one of the greatest of all time.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
Let's do this. Let's do rapid fire really quick before
we we we end off with your fight. I know
you got some some friends on this card, so feel
free to just tell me, you know what, not picking
that fight, but we got four championship fights on this card,
and I wanted to ask you who are you going with?
Who you leaning toward. Let's start with uh Bam Bam
Rodriguez and Fernando Martinez.
Speaker 8 (54:34):
What do you think Bam Bam Rodriguez knockout? Yeah, I
think a knockout, late stoppage.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
Late stoppage, okay. Abdilla Mason, Sam.
Speaker 11 (54:45):
Noakes Abdulla Mason, I think mid mid uh mid fighting stoppage.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
Okay, and that would be a big one too obviously
you know world title implication there. And then Sam noakes
a hard hit or too not not you know the
resume that that Abdila has, but still a hard hitter.
Devin Haney Brian Norman Junior.
Speaker 8 (55:04):
I think Devin Haney wins that fight.
Speaker 12 (55:07):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (55:09):
I'm leaning more towards the decision, but I wouldn't surprised
if there's a knockout. You know, there's a lot of
animosity towards these fighters. So at times that's what we
need to get the knockout out, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
They met up at the press conference and the head
Weggie and the whole thing.
Speaker 5 (55:23):
I was like, what is going on here?
Speaker 2 (55:25):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (55:25):
But there is no Bill and Brian Senior are getting
involved and it's crazy.
Speaker 11 (55:30):
So Brian Norman has to get Brian Norman has to
get that back if he's really about it. But you know,
I think Devin Andy just has too much experience. So
I see Devin Haney winning their fight.
Speaker 8 (55:39):
Decision.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Okay, so let's let's let's now go to your fight.
And I love doing this at the end of interviews.
It's the main event. Time, the whole card has delivered.
It's your time to deliver. You're in Riode, they play
your music, you walk out in the ring, bell rings,
round one? How does it go? David Benavidez versus Anthony Yar.
Speaker 8 (55:57):
You know, I'm gonna be going there.
Speaker 11 (55:59):
It's from my job to be cautious in the ring
because anything can happen, you know, especially in the first rounds.
So I'm gonna go in there and looking download download
some information. But if I see any openings. I'm definitely
gonna take. I'm gonna take the chance, you know what
I mean. I do want to make a big statement.
Speaker 8 (56:15):
In this fight.
Speaker 11 (56:17):
You know, I'm not gonna guarantee you no knockouts or
no stoppages, but I'm definitely gonna follow my game plan
and I'm gonna be looking to put you know, as
much punishment on Anthony Art, as much punishment as I
possibly can. But you know, I'm feeling good. Combinations are
coming out good, my power is looking good. So I'm
definitely looking to have a great performance.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
I love it, man. Last thing, David, anything you want
to say to your fans people at home that are
gonna be watching this on November twenty second.
Speaker 11 (56:42):
Yeah, Also, I want to thank everybody for the love
and support. And also I wanted to talk about something
that you know, I've basically recently, fairly like two years ago,
I really got into you know, I really I found
my Lord Savior Jesus Christ, and I've been praying a lot,
you know, I mean every single day, and you know,
I feel like now some people, when you have some blessings,
(57:05):
you don't have to wait for something bad to happen,
so you could look for Jesus Christ, or you know,
you don't have to look for something, you know to
ask for Jesus Christ to help you.
Speaker 8 (57:12):
I feel like every day, if.
Speaker 11 (57:14):
You you know, give you know the time of day,
Lord Jesus Christ, you pray to him at least ten
twenty minutes a day. You know, I feel like you're able,
not able or not? Are you only more protected, but
you have more strength within yourself? And you know this
is a testament, you know that I've made to myself
because I wasn't really religious when I was when I
(57:36):
was younger. I'm not gonna lie, but you know, I
started praying every single day at least ten minutes a day,
and I've been doing this for like about two years,
and I feel like this is something I have to
speak about because overall, I feel like I'm a stronger person,
I'm more motivated, I'm more confident in myself, and I
know that my family is taken care of.
Speaker 8 (57:56):
I know that my family is protected.
Speaker 11 (57:59):
So I feel like this for a reason, and I
feel like it's my job to tell people that you know,
whatever it is, and it doesn't even have to be
Jesus Christ.
Speaker 8 (58:05):
Whatever you believe in.
Speaker 11 (58:06):
A higher power and you give you know, uh, you
give thanks to the blessings for the blessings that you
have in your life. I feel like if the code
create with God in your head, you know what I mean,
just ask them to give you the blessing to ask
them to give you the power and like I say,
ask and you shall receive.
Speaker 8 (58:23):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (58:23):
I feel like you connecting to the frequency of God
is the best thing that you could do for yourself
and for your life, and it also opens up more
opportunities for yourself. So I just something that I've felt myself,
and I feel like there's something I have to share
to my people and my fans and the people that
follow me. You know, it definitely does work. You know,
it's not gonna it's not something that it's gonna work
right away, or this is something that you really.
Speaker 8 (58:45):
Have to be that you have to do every single day,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (58:48):
But what is it?
Speaker 8 (58:49):
What is five minutes of your day? You know what
I mean?
Speaker 11 (58:52):
When you wake up, give the thanks to God, ask
them to bless your passage, ask them to bless your
family with protection and love, and we'll give it to you.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
I love that man. That's such an important message, especially
in today's day and age man, where everything else is money, this, views,
that clout this, and there's really there's one central thing
there that people are missing, and I appreciate that. David Benavidez,
ladies and gentlemen, he is the main events of the
Night of champions Ring for November twenty second. His WBC
(59:20):
Light Heavyweight Championship is on the line versus Anthony Yard. David,
thank you so much. We cannot wait to watch a fight.
Speaker 8 (59:27):
Thank you brother.
Speaker 1 (59:28):
All Right, so we are back on the way concept
presented by the Ring Magazine and today, folks, I want
to talk about one word delusion. It exists to a
degree I don't think I've ever seen in any other
combat sports athlete. Maybe Connor McGregor, but I don't really
see it even that level. When we're talking about what
Jake Paul is going to try to do versus Anthony
(59:49):
Joshua and not just beat him, but in Jake Paul's
own words, and we'll get into it in a second,
he wants to and thinks he will knock Anthony Joshua
out cold. And I think a lot of things are
happening Right now, people are on one end of the
spectrum saying Anthony Joshua was gonna flatline Jake in under
thirty seconds, and if it goes past that, then AJ's
a fraud and his time in the sport is done.
(01:00:10):
I don't necessarily agree with that, and I'll explain why later.
The other side is going, you know what, Jake might
actually catch AJ. Jake might actually shock everyone. Because AJ
got put down in his last fight. He got put
down by Andy Roweez. He's been hurting a couple of
different fights at this point. Maybe his chin's completely gone.
Jake has the speed and power to still put him down,
even at the level Jake is currently residing in, which
(01:00:31):
is only being in the sport for five years. I
don't really agree with that either. I'm somewhere in the middle,
but I'll say this. That word delusion I just talked
about a second ago. It's Jake's biggest strength. It's the
reason he's even in this fight with AJ. It's the
reason that he's gotten as good as he has in
the short amount of time he's been boxing. But maybe
more importantly than that, this may be where his delusion
finally leads to the end of Jake Paul's career, because
(01:00:53):
delusion and this business can get you hurt real bad.
And I think for the first time, Jake Paul's delusional
idea about how good he is in the sport and
what he can do may have led him a bit
too far. This is the first time where Jake is
in real danger. Say what you want about money and
prizes and everything else. This is going to end badly.
What do I mean the breakdown? Let's go all right,
(01:01:17):
So a couple of videos come out since the fight
has been announced. Jake put a video out on his channel.
We're going to take a look at. Brother Logan put
a video out. We're going to take a look at.
And then I want to go into the nuances and
really let you guys understand how much a five to
six inch high advantage, you know, twenty to thirty to
however much weight advantage AJ will have, and just the
size and frame of the two. And I want to
(01:01:37):
explain a little bit of why I think Jake isn't
necessarily telling the truth when he just says AJ is
stiff and plotty and bad footwork and all that stuff
that I don't know is true. But where I think
Jake is getting that from. Let's take a look.
Speaker 5 (01:01:50):
And they said fight a real boxer.
Speaker 7 (01:01:52):
They said fight someone your size, they said fight a
world champion. We look at a long list of supports.
Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
It fighters for me to fight.
Speaker 7 (01:02:02):
So there I was on a Saturday afternoon in my
thirty million dollar mansions.
Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
Okay, weird flex, but all right. By the way, if
you're a grown man carrying a be dazzled bag around, dude,
you got to reevaluate something. These all look like purses.
I'm sorry, I don't know why you would ever want
to be caught carrying that around as a grown man.
I understand fashion is one thing, but like, this looks
like fairy does and that looks like something my girlfriend
would pack when we go on a trip. I don't know.
I know it's probably worth more than my house, but like,
(01:02:30):
what are we doing?
Speaker 7 (01:02:31):
But as I look closer at the list, I saw
one name that stood out Antony Joshua Anti Josha.
Speaker 5 (01:02:39):
That's gotta be it for non far up the jet.
I'm going back to training camp.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
I'm fighting after the Joshua.
Speaker 4 (01:02:46):
MVP presents Jake versus Joshua Judgment Day, December nineteen live
from Miami at Thesea Center, eight three minute rounds in
a professionally heavyweight sanctioned week and yes it's live globally
on the biggest streaming platform in the world.
Speaker 5 (01:03:07):
My good old friends and Netflix. Manny, you guys wanted
me to go bigger. How about twice as big?
Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
Literally, he's twice as big as Javonte.
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
He's He's go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:03:17):
Jake six foot six, two hundred and sixty pounds with
an eighty two inch reach.
Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
I mean, well, he's gonna be two forty five on
the night because he that's in the contract. Apparently that
AJ can't be more than two forty five, which I
again I'm not I have no problem with because you're
doing this on short notice. Jake was supposed to fight
a guy that was way smaller, and Jake had to
be a little bit smaller at one ninety five. Now
you got to turn around and put on some weight.
I get it. Not that Jake was probably walking around
(01:03:43):
at one ninety five. It was probably still like two
fifteen whatever, But still I get it. And AJ's fought
Ousik a smaller guy at that lower wight a couple
different times as well, so no, no big deal there
to me. But don't advertise him at two sixty if
you're gonna fight him at two forty five.
Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Just look at us next to each other.
Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
So Jake uses a cutout of AJ, which why does
he have that? He uses the cutout of AJ to
see the size difference. But there's actually like them interacting
in person, and this was a couple of years ago,
but you can see the size difference. Then they're playing
freaking I don't know what this is, some sort of
like laser tag. And look at this, dude, it looks
like AJ is participating in an after school boys and
(01:04:20):
girls club program. Dude, he's like, hey, I'm I'll be
your big brother for the day, you know what I mean.
He's given back to the youth. Jake is up to
his shoulder, you know what I mean. Like that looks
like four or five different weight classes away from each other.
And then that's not just a cardboard cutout. That's like
(01:04:40):
how they look. This is the face off is gonna
be insane. It really is the difference between Jake and Jervonte.
Now Jake becomes Jervonte to Anthony Joshua, right, he went
from looking down to looking up. I just can't believe.
And this isn't some exhibition guys. This is a real
fucking fight. I don't see how Jake in any way,
shape or form, thinks he can win outside of again
(01:05:00):
right hand from the gods. That's the shot. Right there
is the right hand from the gods. Unless he thinks
he can go and stay at distance and out box
AJ with footwork and every I don't know, man, it
doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 7 (01:05:12):
Two time heavyweight champion of the World, an Olympic gold medalist.
While he was winning Olympic gold, I was filming vines
in high school.
Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
I say, legitimate, fucking insane, dude, what the fuck?
Speaker 7 (01:05:26):
AJ is a knockout artist with fights that have literally.
Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
Bro How did he go from mines in high school?
This face like, look at the difference in Jake's face.
That's actually crazy. Don't even look at the same person, dude.
Speaker 7 (01:05:38):
AJ is a knockout artist with fights that have literally
ended in seconds. He fought legends, flitsko ooh, sick ruiz.
Speaker 5 (01:05:48):
In Ghanu biggest show I live.
Speaker 7 (01:05:53):
Man, I'm not gonna lie. I'm a little scared. And yes,
little Josh is signed to mine.
Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
Enemy Eddie Hearn.
Speaker 7 (01:06:01):
And I know Eddie and all of you naysayers were
saying that I wouldn't take this fight.
Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
I'm not show Jake.
Speaker 8 (01:06:06):
Posts that crazy. That's a fucking bad idea.
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
Heyj's gonna look him out. He's going to get hit.
Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
This might be a step too far talk his cheek,
calling Teddy Atlas the hater's crazy. But here's the thing
that Jake does very well, is he he very much
listens and understands how to respond to quote unquote hate
or doubters and usually goes about trying to in his
own way right with you know, narratives and other things,
(01:06:31):
sometimes prove them wrong. This one, I agree with Teddy
Atlas is probably a step too far. And even doing
that right listening to other people say for so long,
you won't do this, you won't do this, you won't
do this, and then answering that call and doing it
almost to a different level than even anyone asked for. Like,
no one was like, hey, Jake, you'll be a real
boxer when you go and fight Anthony Joshua. People were like, hey,
(01:06:51):
go and rematch Tommy Fury again. He tried to, didn't
work out, but they were like, hey, go and fight
someone your age, your size, and uh, you know your
experience level, and Jake went, I'll take all those things
and then just go to a different level with it. Yeah,
I'll fight someone around my age, AJ's thirty six, Jakes
twenty eight, but I'll fight the former gold medalist, two
time heavyweight champ and a guy that we know weighs
(01:07:12):
more than me because y'all say I weigh more than
all my opponents, which is true. This one is the
one where I think he went too far trying to
convince everyone that he will do the unthinkable and has
done the unthinkable, and I just don't see how he
hasn't put himself in the most dangerous most like health
risked spot, life threatening, legitimately spot of Jake's career. And
(01:07:33):
I mean that word life twofold, I mean his boxing life,
and I mean potentially his actual physical health, all to
what prove Eddie Hearn wrong. I mean again, I respect it,
but I don't know, Man, this is dangerous as fuck,
and we saw what happened. I know that Francis and
Jake are different people, and we're gonna do a full
breakdown on the differences there and why Francis was a
little bit more susceptible to being knocked out by Anthony Joshua.
(01:07:55):
But I don't know who Jake's taking a page out of.
Like what book is Jake taking a page out of
to say I'm gonna beat Anthony Joshua? Is it Usik?
Because Jake doesn't have Usik talent? Is Andrey Ruiz? Because
one Jake is not as big as Andy isn't two.
I don't think he has the hand speed or again
technical prowess Andy Ruiz has. He can crack. And I hope,
I hope, I hope. What Jake is not doing is
looking at the Daniel Dubois fight and going, I just
(01:08:16):
have to land a right hand. That's all I gotta do.
And maybe that's the case, and maybe he does land
that right hand, but I just think it's so much
more difficult than that. And if you try to blend
down aj to just the right hand, he took a
multiple right hands he took from Dubois, and going, man,
his chance is is done. I don't know. Maybe that's
a fucking massive risk.
Speaker 7 (01:08:34):
Friends, but guess what, you're not alone. My friends and
family couldn't even believe I was taking this fight.
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
I'm fighting Anthony Joshua.
Speaker 8 (01:08:44):
Are you crazy?
Speaker 5 (01:08:48):
Are you scared? No, I'm terrified.
Speaker 6 (01:08:54):
I'm fighting Anthony Joshua.
Speaker 5 (01:09:00):
Yes, the big boy good Way dude. Yeah, for real,
I'm serious.
Speaker 8 (01:09:04):
What's the world going to say when he knocks his
ass out? Because it's gonna happen.
Speaker 6 (01:09:08):
I know it's gonna happen too, Jake Paul's goody Jack.
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
See, that's a little bit of a different thing than
I'm gonna go in and like out box AJ and
you know, like keep it at boxing range and use
my feed and try to you know, jab maybe a
Devin Haney style jab footwork, jab footwork, stay on the outside. Again,
Jake can't even really stay on the outside because he's
given up six inches in reach as well. But he's
actively like, yes, I am going to knock out agent,
(01:09:32):
And in any other timeline we'd all point and laugh,
and some people still are pointing and laughing. But I'm
just sitting here going what has he seen that makes
him believe that not only of what's happened to AJ. Sure,
he's been knocked out by Daniel Dubois, another two hundred
and forty pound champion.
Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Of the world.
Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
But what is he seen in it himself that makes
him think he's going to knock out agent when he
hasn't knocked out anyone since Mike Perry, and Mike Perry,
as we know, is not a high level boxer. He
hasn't knocked out a high level He could hurt Julio
Saser Chavez, but Chavez new to cover up and not
engage Ayby. He thinks AJ will engage with him, and
AJ does do some bad things in the pocket. Again,
We'll save it for another video. But the only thing
(01:10:08):
I can think of, and I said it at the
beginning of this video, is Jake is absolutely delusional and
he's convinced himself of what's gonna happen based on very
outlying data. Right the danvid Wuan knockout, how he struggled
with Usik, Who are you fighting?
Speaker 13 (01:10:21):
Went?
Speaker 9 (01:10:21):
And why I'm fighting Anthony Joshua because.
Speaker 8 (01:10:24):
I'm fucking him?
Speaker 5 (01:10:27):
What I'm fighting Anthony Joshua because I'm him?
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
Holy holy shit, Just let me take a second.
Speaker 5 (01:10:36):
Is this motherfucker dude? It's light work.
Speaker 7 (01:10:39):
Light work. Well, at least my good old friend Tyson
Fury believes that I can win.
Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
If Jake Paul fight somethy joshrump a million quote on
Jake Paul.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
I want some free money, smart.
Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
Man, Tyson.
Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
I need to see a best slip, Tyson. I know
you got it like that. These days, a million is
like a you know, like a slight ten thousand to
the rest does but or maybe a thousand after those
couple of title fights with Alexander USSI. But I need
to see the bets lip. I saw the line when
and this is kind of crazy. I saw the line
when the Fright first got made and we put it
in the video. Jake was plus eight hundred to win.
(01:11:13):
Jake has now moved to plus six point fifty to win.
That's outright. I don't know by knockout, I'm not sure,
but plus eight hundred was already like okay, that's you know,
that's a big underdog, and Joshua was like minus fifteen hundred.
But now Joshua was at minus twelve fifty and Jake's
at plus six fifty. This line is closing, and I'm
wondering why what are people seeing?
Speaker 7 (01:11:31):
Make no mistake, this is the biggest fight of my career.
Speaker 5 (01:11:34):
I'm walking into the lions Den.
Speaker 7 (01:11:36):
I'm doing something that no one else has ever done before.
Speaker 5 (01:11:40):
I Jake Joseph Paul will.
Speaker 7 (01:11:42):
Knock out, defeat and embarrass Anthony Joshua Friday, December nineteenth,
Live on Netflix.
Speaker 5 (01:11:48):
My voice cracked. I'm still going through puberty.
Speaker 7 (01:11:51):
The biggest fight of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (01:11:53):
USA versus UK. He's got the belts, the size, the history,
but I have the ball. Speak careful what you wish.
Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
For Jake versus Joshua Judgment Day. He has a ninety
percent knockout ratio, but I have one hundred.
Speaker 5 (01:12:08):
Percent chance of drinking this celsius.
Speaker 1 (01:12:10):
Okay, there we go, ads only. Uh yeah, I mean
having balls is good when it comes to making a
fight like this, when it comes to you know, putting
yourself out there and again just operating on self belief.
But it isn't going to win Jake this fight. Him
being ballsy is not going to win him this fight.
Like him making the decision to take this fight is ballsy.
And we can all say it, and we have said it,
(01:12:31):
and I feel like it's starting to become a thing
where it's like that's the only thing we're saying. Fel
Like everybody is just pointing out that Jake has big
balls for doing this, and that's a ballsy move, and
that's correct. But we established that already, So now let's
talk about the fight itself. What about Jake's ballsiness is
going to win him this fight. The fact that he
wants to throw, the fact that he'll mix it up.
That may be the worst thing that Jake could do
is mix it up with Anthony Joshua, because again, you
(01:12:54):
get into fifty fifties with a guy that can crack
like he can ninety percent finish rate, He'll put you
on the canvas. He's done it to so many other heavyweights.
And yes, AJ sometimes is the one that gets clipped
in exchanges like that with the left hook especially, But
we'll do a more comprehensive breakdown in the future. I'm
just it better be more than that. It better be
something they are seeing outside of just AJ's chin. How
(01:13:15):
do you get to it? That's the real question. If
you think his chin is suspect, can you get to it?
And how many times are you going to get the
opportunity before he gets to you? How do you weigh
that everything else? Anyway, Logan actually made a video where
he talked to Daniel Cormier of all people, DC my guy,
and uh, here's what the consensus of fighters are starting
to say about this AJ and Jake fight.
Speaker 8 (01:13:35):
Here.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
It's real, it's fun, it's real.
Speaker 8 (01:13:37):
There's gotta be some rules in place for Anthony.
Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
Dont think there's rules. Come, I swear.
Speaker 14 (01:13:42):
I keep telling people this right, and this is where
people fucking most of these MMA dudes.
Speaker 8 (01:13:47):
I keep saying, stop treating.
Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
Jake like is DC wearing a picture of d C
on like embroidered holding a golf flagstick on his shirt?
Is that like his own merch or is that something
I'm missing? Because the guy does look a little bit,
you know, portly. Well have you said, how does it
look like Tiger Woods? It looks like Tiger foods.
Speaker 5 (01:14:06):
Not a boxer.
Speaker 14 (01:14:07):
It's been five years now of pure boxing with great
coaches and great trading parts.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
He's gotten a lot better. He can fight, man.
Speaker 8 (01:14:15):
Yeah, but that's bad.
Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
Bro was like like that like Francis, Like Francis went
and fought him.
Speaker 8 (01:14:25):
Oh, I said Jake, I said, you see what he
did to Francis.
Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
He's like Francis light works.
Speaker 14 (01:14:31):
Here's also, oh my god, he is kind of crazy
Francis wasn't training boxing at the level yeah, because because
I would imagine if Jake gets hurt, he knows how
to hold like a boxer.
Speaker 1 (01:14:42):
Because in boxing, you know you gotta go clinch when
you get hurt.
Speaker 5 (01:14:45):
Francis was kind of.
Speaker 8 (01:14:46):
Like just standing there.
Speaker 14 (01:14:47):
Listen to me right here, let me tell you this.
He fights Anthony Joshua with no parameters in place. I'll
better give Jake Paul his credit.
Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
I will, because that's.
Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
It's brave Quinn. It's a fair take right there from DC.
He made a couple of good points. Number One one,
the idea that Jake is fighting aj with no parameters
being all credit to Jake. We've all established that, right
that's number one. The other thing that DC knows, which
a lot of people that fight Jake underestimate him to
a massive degree and they get surprised on fight night.
(01:15:15):
Whatever you want to say about the opponent's selection, about
where they're at in their careers versus where they were
in their primes, or the size difference, whatever, there's only
been a few guys that took Jake seriously and didn't
look at him as the quote unquote YouTuber Guys like
Tommy Fury, Anderson Silva, obviously, Mike Perry. Other people didn't
really do that right. Other people, even Nate Diaz kind
(01:15:36):
of looked at him like, ah, you know, we'll see.
But Jake has been doing this. DC says five years
has been more like six almost seven years that Jake
has been actively training and fighting in boxing. So the
more you underestimate him by going, oh, you know, he's green,
he's a YouTuber, He's still got some skill, he still
has some technique, maybe not the highest level. And again,
because you can't make up for lost time as much
(01:15:59):
money and time as Jake is thrown at this, there's
still a gap of eighteen to nineteen years where he
didn't even think about boxing, So there is going to
be a skill gap there. But he's making it up
rather quickly, and they believe he has the skill level
to hang with AJ, which I think is crazy. But
I do like the idea that DC's bringing up here,
like you better not underestimate him. And I hope that AJ,
(01:16:19):
who has kind of been around this scene with KSI,
even with Jake before, he's been around some of the influencers.
I hope he understands that. Again, I know this is
crazy to say, but you can't just treat him like
anybody like what AJ treated Francis, like dead serious, I'm
here for a job. I'm gonna show up and flat
line you. That's the way he has to enter this
fight with Jake. You can't come in like, oh, we're
(01:16:40):
just gonna move about like this will be fun. No,
And I don't expect AJ to do that because I
watched him flat line Francis after Francis came in and
put down Tyson Fury and kind of made a mockery
of boxing. AJ's like, let me go ahead and get
that back for the Marcus of Queensberry. So that's a
good point from DC. The second good point is that
you know, we keep doing this thing where we compare
the AJ Francis fight to A and Jake, and again
(01:17:01):
we go back to that experience. Francis was not a
polished boxer, and we'll do a full breakdown on that fight,
and I'm gonna show you guys where AJ picked up
on very quickly. Francis was out of his depth and
it was very simple things that AJ did in the
sense of boxing that Francis had never seen before. To
put Francis on his ass multiple times and then eventually
hit him with the one hitter. Quitter, Jake's gonna be
a little bit tougher to fool, but again, they both
(01:17:23):
have boxing tools, they both know how to make boxing reads.
What it's gonna come down to now is that even
Jake doesn't have the time and reps and experience and speed,
power and ability honestly that Aj has in this sport.
So what makes up the ground for Francis It was
size and power and a little bit of speed. Jake
doesn't have any of that. I mean, he has speed,
(01:17:44):
he does have power, but he doesn't have it to
that level. So is it gonna be his feet? Is
it gonna be what's your X factor to get you
to the point where you're dangerous? For Agent right, the
only real danger for AJ is this massive pressure on
him to shut Jake up, stop him. Don't even make
this look competitive. And if you want to say that's pressure.
And you know we've seen Aj and pressure cookers before.
He's performed well in some so much in others. But
(01:18:05):
this is not like championship pressure. This is you better
do away with the quote unquote you two will that
affect AJ. I don't think so. I think he again
had the same pressure with Francis, but he went and
did the business there. But good points from DC again
a realistic look there, like better take him serious because
if you don't, he can't expose you. He can make
you look bad. And again we've already said, if Jake
goes three rounds, it looks bad, right, It kind of
(01:18:27):
does for the former two time heavyweight champion of the world.
If Jake survives the whole thing, Jesus Christ, it looks awful, right,
AJ might have to retire if Jake survives the whole thing, Like,
that's how bad this would look. You got to take
him serious. And just one more thing before we get
out of here. You know, I started this video talking
about the delusion of Jake Paul and how it's his
greatest strength potentially his greatest weakness as well, right, and
(01:18:48):
I think this will be the fight where it potentially
showcase is why it's a it's a weakness, right, it's
it can be a weakness.
Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:18:54):
Delusional people in most walks of life, they're so deeply
entrenched in what they believe that they will be successful
to some degree and sometimes to a degree we can't
even understand because of that delusion. But eventually they run
into an answer that they didn't expect, right, Jake kind
of ran into that with Tommy Feer and that had
to be reset. And now his confidence again is at
an all time high, delusional confidence, I would say, and
I think he's gonna run into an issue here. But
(01:19:15):
the question about why he's at that point where he's like,
yes to the AJ fight, I mean yes, money, viewers,
everything else, But it's also because he believes in this
right hand. He take you back to a clip from
when Jake was sparring for Mike Tyson. Now again, he's
not sparring a high level heavyweight here, not sparring a
guy that's ever won a world championship, competed for one,
ever been probably top fifty or one hundred. But what
he does here is what he believes he can do
(01:19:37):
to AJ. Guy hits him with a one to two,
doesn't really hit him with it. Huh, jab lands right hand.
Jake kind of rolls, Guy gets a little cocky with him,
kind of drops his guard a little bit. Boom, right
hand over the top, nasty overhand. My man does the
stinky leg one time turns into a b boy bang
and it's that quick off the back foot in probably
(01:20:00):
eighteen ounce gloves with headgear on, boom on the chin,
drops the guy again. Other factors at play here. This
guy is walking onto the shot guards down thinking, hey,
I just landed that one too. Let me cock the
arm for some reason, step in on this jab and
throw it again, except Jake gets underneath it and clips
him right on the chin. Can that happen in the
(01:20:21):
AJ fight?
Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:20:23):
It can.
Speaker 1 (01:20:24):
Guess why because AJ has the pattern of hurting people
Andy Rowiz hell, even Francis and Ganuo. If you go
back and watch that fight, which we will clipped him
with a left hook after AJ hurt Francis and then
tried to swarm him. There are times where AJ loses
his form, especially when he's on the attack after he's
hurt someone. There are moments he loses his form, drops
(01:20:45):
his hands and wants to swing with his chin up
in the air and his head on center line. And
again the Duboa fight. The first time AJ gets dropped,
he's throwing a combination, circling out with his hand low
no defense, and Dubois clips him with an overhand on
the and AJ hits the camp. This is why Jake
believes he can knock him out one thousand percent. It's
(01:21:05):
the combination of him going And I'm not just talking
about this instant. There's probably more spars behind the scenes
where Jake has had success with heavyweights and he probably
generalizes the guys he's seen with AJ and maybe there's
some connection there. Hey, he's got heavyweights in camp. Hey,
I sparred a you know, Clitch Goo. I sparred AJ.
I sparred this heavyweight, that heavyweight, and I did okay
(01:21:25):
with them, and they weren't that power. You hit harder
than that heavyweight. Those talks happen, and he's sparring. Partners
may be telling Jake, and that may or may not
be true. That could be them trying to make more
money in camp, or be there for longer or whatever else.
But again, someone like Jake takes that, takes the fact
that he's dropped that guy, takes the fact that AJ's
been dropped in his last fight knocked out, takes all
this talk about how Jake won't fight the guy we
(01:21:46):
want him to fight. Jake is not on the level
he thinks he is. Jake is only fighting older retired
MMA guys, older retired boxers, smaller boxers, not in his
weight class, not at his age, not at his skill level,
and all this morphs into fuck it. I'm ready now.
I'm ready in the future, not we may do it
in twenty twenty six. I'm ready now to make that statement.
And that's why I think Jake is taking this fight.
(01:22:08):
I think that's why Jake believes what he says. Like
people will get in this comment section later and say,
Jake doesn't even believe he'll knock him out, He's just
doing this for the payday. You're wrong. I one thousand
percent guarantee you Jake thinks he's going to knock him out.
Do I think Jake will knock him out? No, I
think that's far less probable than the reality of this
fight being Jake getting hurt very badly. But I believe
he thinks it. And now we go to the other
(01:22:30):
side of that delusion, which is the big weakness of it,
which all that stuff combined the reason Jake thinks the
way he does. You can get surprised in a big
way when what you think and what you believe is
not reality. I think that's what is probably going to
happen in this fight. I mean, you look at Aj
sim working with Ben Davison, and he doesn't move like
(01:22:50):
a regular heavyweight at that size and frame, like he's
a big, powerful, fast dude. Man, he is fast, and
he's got to reach on him and while he's using
his inside fighting here, I think he's best when he's
utilizing his jab and then getting to the right hand.
But you see, you know, yeah, Okay, maybe Aj doesn't
(01:23:11):
move like a cruiser weight or he doesn't move like
a light heavyweight. But I don't see this is just mitwork.
But I don't see stiffness. I don't see slow. I
see fast and powerful. I see dangerous with both hands right.
I see clubbing shots, and I see speed shots. I
see up and down shots. We'll get into more videos
(01:23:32):
where Aj does this in his fights. Go back and
watch the Francis fight and watch how he walked Frances
under the poll right hand and how efficiently AJ set
it up and landed it. Go back and watch him
even in the Dubois fight when he was hurt multiple
times and still dangerous after being down on the canvas
three or four times, wobbling Dubois in the fifth round
of that fight. And I don't think Jake hits like
(01:23:53):
Dubois does. But that's not the point. The point is
it's not as easy as just the guys that Jake
has dropped in sparring. It's not as easy. I can
punch like a heavyweight because I've seen the guys across
from me in sparring. Aj'llb no different. That dude is different,
a genetic free and if the only thing you're banking
on is he doesn't have a chin, this could be
the most rude wake up call I've ever seen in boxing. Legitimately,
(01:24:14):
this could be one of the most damaging fights you
have ever seen in boxing, career ending life alter and
I'm not saying that as a joke. I legitimately think
that could be a possibility at play, which is why, again,
you have to give respect to Jake for doing it.
And you look at the way AJ approach the Francis
and Ganhu fight. You have to respect that as well.
But that's it, folks. We're gonna wait and see what
(01:24:35):
this first press conference looks like tomorrow. As you see
this video of the press conference, will be tomorrow will
break that down come back. But the word of the
day today was delusion in the form of Jake Paul's mindset.
Will it be his greatest strength and propel him to
do something that almost no one thinks he can do
in this AJ fight, or will it be the reason
for his perpetual downfall in taking this fight with AJ
and thinking he was ready and not only being exposed
(01:24:57):
but being hurt very, very bad. I tend to lead
toward the latter, but I don't have those answers. So
we're only thirty days away. I think as I record
this video December nineteenth, it's coming soon. I guess we'll
find out, all right, So we are back on the
way concept presented by the Ring magazine In Folks, Jake
Paul Anthony Joshua has felt like a fever dream up
(01:25:18):
until this point. I can't even really put into words
how unimaginable this fight would have been two three years ago,
let alone even now. I mean, we are talking about
the former two time heavyweight champion of the world and
Jake Paul that's had thirteen fights and none of them
gets a top forty fighter in the world in his
own weight class, let alone one of the greatest heavyweights
of this generation. With that being said, it was hard
(01:25:39):
to wrap my mind around this thing even being real
as it was announced as both guys signed on the
dotted line. But today, folks, it's real. It's actually happening.
We have our first press conference for Jake Paul versus
Anthony Joshua, and I think the tone has been set.
What do I mean Jake Paul Anthony Joshua press conference
(01:25:59):
break down and why. I think for the first time
in Jake Paul's career, he stood in front of a
real killer. Reality is setting in. He may have made
a terrible mistake. What do I mean to break down?
Let's go.
Speaker 15 (01:26:13):
Makes some noise for the one and only Anthony Joshua.
Speaker 1 (01:26:25):
He's a fucking monsterude. Even before and we're gonna get
to at the end of this thing, them standing face
to face, even before you see that this dude is
a union. This this dude is just a legitimate monster
of men six', six two hundred and fifty plus. Pounds and,
AGAIN i know he's supposed to weigh in it two forty,
(01:26:45):
five but as we'll learn in a, second no rehydration,
clause meaning aj can go up to to fifty five
to fucking sixty if he feels like it. Again it's
so hard for me to even conceptualize it being, real
but it, is and there he is on, stage in fucking.
Sane he is the one and only the problem, Child
Jake Paul Jake poller ooh whoa? Okay fit check? Time
(01:27:13):
because we usually do this With jake's press. Conferences he
gets crazy with the, fits and most of the time they're.
NONSENSICAL i gotta give him. CREDIT i don't know what's
going on with the pants and the, shirt all.
Speaker 12 (01:27:22):
That that.
Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
Necklace WHILE i would never wear, IT i couldn't pull it.
Off i'm an. UNK i have no, SWAG i have no.
Style this dude has got AND i saw this on His.
Instagram he's got a fifty cow diamond studded. Bullet all
of them are, diamonds but the fifty cow in the
middle looking like Fucking killmonger off Black. Panther, dude this
dude is army fatigued out the fifty cow bullet in the.
(01:27:44):
Middle that's nasty. Work and the entire message behind the.
FIT i respect.
Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
It it's, War.
Speaker 15 (01:27:49):
Jake i'm gonna start with, you AND i want to
ask this, question AND i hope you know it comes
from the most sincere and respectful place.
Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
Possible are you all, right my? Man have you lost your?
Mind this Is Anthony joshua that you just called.
Speaker 15 (01:28:04):
Out you're Fighting Anthony joshua in less than a.
Speaker 2 (01:28:06):
Month why are you doing?
Speaker 7 (01:28:07):
THIS i like to challenge. MYSELF i like to take
on the, biggest the. BEST i, said, anyone any, time any.
PLACE i truly mean, that And i'm here to go
out there and shock the. WORLD i know What i'm capable.
OF i see him and what he's capable, of and
we're gonna go to war and we'll see the best
man that will.
Speaker 6 (01:28:24):
Win but people, say, oh he's out of his.
Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
Mind all of these.
Speaker 7 (01:28:26):
Things i've gotten to Where i'm at today because of delusional,
optimism and so it's delusion until it's, not because look
at where we're sitting.
Speaker 6 (01:28:35):
Today no one ever thought that.
Speaker 7 (01:28:37):
This would be, possible that we would be here WHEN
i first started, boxing and no one Thinks i'm gonna.
Win so join the list and be ready to be.
Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
Shocked, yeah, okay this is a great little message to
start out For, Jake and again he is, right AND
i talked about this in my last. Video jake's delusion
has allowed him to reach places that normal people and
people that don't think more of themselves than reality states
they potentially can, do won't. Get So jake gets all
the credit for that in the. World, AGAIN i don't
know how many Times i've said, that but illusion can
(01:29:06):
also get you killed in this, sport AND i mean
that legitimately. Too Like i've seen people die in. Boxing
it's happened right in this. Sport people have had serious
bodily injuries and unfortunately some people have. Passed and Again
i'm not trying to be morbid about, it but delusion
can take you so far until you do run into.
Reality And jake, said you, know it's only delusion until it's.
NOT i agree with, it BUT i mean it in
(01:29:27):
a different. WAY i think this time delusion has led
him into a place where reality dictates he's going to
be separated from consciousness unless aj shows up just out
of sorts. Uncharacteristic, again he's been in big pressure, cookers
but maybe the pressure GET i don't. KNOW i just
don't see a way logically where you can Pick Jake
paul surviving this fight, genuinely aj my, Man, femi it's
good to see.
Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
You it's great to see. You how did this come
across your?
Speaker 15 (01:29:52):
Radar and COULD i ask what was your initial reaction
when you found out that there was a possibility of
Fighting Jake paul this year On?
Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Netflix thank you for having. Me, well you gotta give
credit To jake and his. Team they reached out to
me to be, fair and it was a great opportunity for.
Me so it's an opportunity for me to. FIGHT i
wanted to take twelve years, out twelve months out of the.
Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
Game twelve years out a j you take twelve years,
out you come. Back that would be the age of
a Lot jake, again coming back To Jake, Bon Mike,
Tyson Joe.
Speaker 2 (01:30:26):
Side And i've done, that and then it was time
to get back to. Work SO i was planning on fighting,
Anyway and ACTUALLY i would have been fighting this weekend
IF i had it my. Way and this opportunity presented,
itself AND i, said, yeah why. Not it's. GREAT i
think it's, massive it's. Colossal it's making big. News we're
bringing marketability together with, ability those two worlds. Collide you've
(01:30:50):
Got Jake paul versus that New, joshua and we're here In.
Miami we're Bringing, Europe, Africa, asia In, nigeria the whole
world able to watch this show On. Netflix it's going
to be. Phenomenal and that's that's how we ended up,
here basically two guys that just want to put in
a good.
Speaker 1 (01:31:06):
Show you can't really FALL aj for doing. THIS i,
mean this is a slam dunk. Opportunity outside of the
fact that he's gonna have massive, pressure which we'll talk
about in this, video AND aj Will and there's times
where under massive, PRESSURE aj has. Crumbled now, again it's
been different. Pressure it's been you, know The usk fights
or even The dubois, fight or The Andre ruiz fight
the second time, around especially even the second time around
(01:31:27):
where he just essentially was relegated to A. Jab there
are times WHERE aj sometimes falters on those, moments but
he at least tests himself in. Them but when you're
talking about A Jake paul, fight he was already according TO,
aj AND i think he actually means he was going
to fight on the ring four. CARD i think that
was supposed to be like a surprise fight that was
going to, happen and he was just gonna do you,
know a fight VERSUS i think they said a top
one hundred guy at. Heavyweight SO aj was gonna knock
(01:31:50):
the guy fucking spark out Called El. Spako so it
doesn't really, Matter, like is it a bad fight for
him to be doing this With? Jake if that's what
he was gonna go and. Do, anyway you're gonna get
far more. Eyeballs you're gonna get a guy that's not
a true heavyweight In Jake, paul and you're gonna get you, know,
sponsorship all this. Stuff but the potential FOR aj to
get the attention back on himself for his last run at,
heavyweight for the amount of money he's going to get
(01:32:11):
for this is no.
Speaker 15 (01:32:11):
Brainer your longtime, Promoter Eddie hearn was, saying, like we
don't think that he is crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
Enough jake is crazy enough to take this. Fight was
that your.
Speaker 15 (01:32:18):
Initial reaction as, Well, Like, yeah this is all, nice
it's nice to, talk but ultimately he is not crazy
enough to fight.
Speaker 2 (01:32:24):
ME i don't Think jake's. CRAZY i Think jake's a logical.
Person he knows what he can, do he knows something
within himself And he's got good people around him that
know something About jake that maybe a lot of us
sitting here don't. Know for, EXAMPLE i know a lot
about myself that many guys don't. Know all he needs
is belief in. Himself ALL i need is belief in.
(01:32:45):
Myself AJ's Like i'm a reader on the.
Speaker 1 (01:32:47):
Weekend y'all didn't know that about? Me, like of course
we know What aj. Is he's a fucking killer at.
Heavyweight he's a. Monster he's a guy, that's you, know
come from rough background and fought his way to the,
belt fought his way to a gold, medal re fought
his way to the belt, again we. Know but, no
let's be honest about. It jake does have a screw.
Loose he is a little. Crazy, yes it's logical for
the business side of things to take An Anthony joshua,
(01:33:09):
fight because this will be a massive. Fight it'll sell,
out they'll do crazy numbers On. Netflix both guys will
get a massive. Bag but that's all before the bell.
Goes when the bell, goes he still has to. Fight
and that's where the, crazy unhinge side Of jake comes.
In that's where the you, know delusional optimism or the
delusional self belief comes in where most people scared for
(01:33:30):
their health or an understanding of the levels that are
at play here and the weight of this kind of
fight would, say not even just, literally but you, know,
metaphorically would, say, yeah that's a little too. Much jake,
is LIKE i, said got a screw, loose and everybody knows.
Speaker 15 (01:33:45):
It what is it about his game, though that makes
you confident that you can shock the world and beat.
Speaker 7 (01:33:49):
Him, yeah, look he's one of the best heavyweights, Ever
BUT i believe that fighting a smaller man is oftentimes
harder as a heavyweight because of the speed difference and
because of the foot, speed because of the, angles because
of the head being off of the, center and so
all of that power is, great and he's knocked people.
(01:34:10):
OUT i just have to avoid that one shot for eight,
rounds AND i believe THAT i can do. THAT i
KNOW i can pick him apart and score points and
make this a, very very big. Contest people, say, OH
i Respect Jake paul for getting in. There no respect
me Because i'm about to.
Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Win all.
Speaker 1 (01:34:28):
Right What jake has, seen just based off his comments,
there he has Seen usik dance ON aj especially in
the first, fight dance on him. Right he talks about foot,
movement he talks about, angles he talks about his, jab
he talks about moving his head off. Center these are
things That usik torment To aj with and then eventually
brought the power. IN i guarantee, you and, AGAIN i
(01:34:50):
know it sounds. Great it is crazy For jake to
think he can fight on the level That Alexander usik
fights at because everybody, else even the smaller guys THAT
aj has, fought he's controlled the with his jab because
he's six' six and has like an eighty four inch
reach or something if he really, wants to which would
be the probably worst and most boring style of doing.
THIS fight aj could probably Just keep jake on the
end of a jab and win the fight with the
(01:35:12):
decision and we, all go what the fuck? Was That
but i'm just saying he's done. That before he did
It with ruiz in the, second fight and even in
The second, USIK fight aj looked a little better trying
to deal with. THAT style i think this would be
a more interesting CONVERSATION had aj never fought Someone, like
usik so that we could see what happens when. They
fight AND so aj. Could adjust jake is. NOT ousick
(01:35:33):
i don't know if that needed to, be said but
it's just not. The true, and yes you can try
to take things that he, did SUCCESSFULLY but i, don't,
Know man jake.
Speaker 2 (01:35:39):
Was sitting down like you were locked in, on him
you were zeroing in.
Speaker 15 (01:35:41):
ON him i would imagine maybe one of the first
times you've seen him in person.
Speaker 2 (01:35:44):
One That, Chaine okay Well, is Donson fast Shane, is donson.
Speaker 1 (01:35:50):
He Said in diamonds is dancing. Over, THERE jake i.
MEAN true I mean, i'm like.
Speaker 6 (01:35:54):
Give me that we're going. To war maybe this fifty
cows going in.
Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
Your, Head, okay jake that's THE energy i need talk to.
Speaker 6 (01:36:04):
Him now i'll put the chain on.
Speaker 1 (01:36:05):
The LINE oh i, Say that.
Speaker 6 (01:36:07):
I'll put the chain on.
Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
The line but you got to put something on. The
line put my chain.
Speaker 13 (01:36:11):
On this.
Speaker 1 (01:36:13):
Jake should have asked for One of. AJ's. BELTS listen
i Have seen jake throughout his career do the, betting
GAME and i know. His tendencies i'm surprised he might.
Do it and if, he does in the next press
conference or sometime during, FIGHT week i want. My Credit
but i'm surprised he, Didn't, Go yeah i'll put my
necklace on. The line if you put one of, your
belts take one of, your belts whatever one, you don't
whatever sanctioning body you can't. Stand anymore give ME, that
(01:36:35):
wbc give me THAT wb, AT whatever i want. That
belt he's here to do.
Speaker 2 (01:36:38):
HIS job i got set, up HERE as, i said
and try and address all the Things that jake doesn't.
Do Good but i'm Fighting the jake that's gonna do
everything Good on. December nineteenth so let me focus. On
that he's a, good person does, his thing great team,
around him puts in, the work and That's why i'm sitting.
Here now anyone out there in the world that works
harder than the next person deserves to be a. Front
(01:37:00):
runner and he's a front runner in, the books in game,
right now all.
Speaker 1 (01:37:03):
Right now you're glazing, Ag now i'm planning people are gonna,
say That and i'm probably gonna say that in, the comments, like,
Damn okay AJ's glazing? Too much is he not? TAKING
him i think that's an Indication that aj is approaching.
THIS seriously i know that sounds kind, of weird but
not even going into like the easy route of, you
Know when ariel's trying to set him up to, be
Like what's jake even thinking like? Doing this AND then
(01:37:24):
aj could easily, be, like yeah he's not on. My
level do the whole he's a. YouTuber thing i'm gonna
introduce him to the, Real boxing i'm gonna put his
face in, the. Dirt Whatever but aj is keeping this. More,
CORDIAL again i think is a Respect to Jake because
jake is there taking the, fight whatever but also just
to keep his mindset on the fact that he still
has to do. A job you keep, Hearing him i'm doing.
A job i'm a higher, Hit man i'm doing a.
(01:37:45):
Job here that kind of focus is where he needs.
To be getting into the mud and doing the whole
back and Forth with jake and even taking some of
the bets can get you off that game and can
add that pressure on. To You what AJ's doing is,
Saying there i'm just gonna come in and do a
JOB like i would if it was somebody else with
no name across. From me i'm taking his dude serious
because this is, my fight, you know. My CAREER so
(01:38:06):
i like that Approach. From, aja JAKE can.
Speaker 15 (01:38:08):
I ask, you know it feels to Me from afar
you're in a bit of a lose lose here because
it seems like.
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
A lot of People what I'll let, Ariel explain but
there is, no way shape. Or form the only way
and the most dangerous part of this Is that jake
gets like legitimately her career. Altering hurt that would be the.
Lose lose But if jake gets knocked out and obviously
his health, is okay, you know knock. On wood we
don't want anyone to come out of. HERE permanently, i,
mean again that's probably not. Public SENTIMENT but i Actually.
Speaker 5 (01:38:36):
LIKE jake I Like.
Speaker 1 (01:38:37):
ANTHONY joshua i think they're. Cool dudes but that's the
only real lose Here, for jake because he is not
expected to win a second of, this fight let alone
around or a couple of rounds or the. Fight ITSELF
but i don't see a lose Lose.
Speaker 15 (01:38:50):
For jake people want to see you, get, OBLITERATED right
a lot of people want to see you get your come.
Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Upp ins and if you do pull.
Speaker 15 (01:38:56):
Off, the upset or if this fight goes the, distance
again the whispers will start. To come people will discredit
you people, will, say, ah this that and the other about.
The fight how do you balance that and how do
you deal?
Speaker 7 (01:39:05):
With, That man i've already won at every single thing.
In life i'm playing on. House money i've accomplished all
my dreams SAID everything i was, gonna do, from becoming,
you know the, first influencer to become an Actor, on
disney to becoming the biggest YouTuber in, the world to
rising to the top of boxing and having the largest
(01:39:26):
viewed fight in the history of.
Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
The sport i've.
Speaker 6 (01:39:28):
Accomplished everything so this is a win win and another challenge.
Speaker 1 (01:39:33):
FOR myself i don't actually think they did have the
highest viewed fight in. THE sport i still think that
belongs To the rumble In. The jungle but we have
crossed all the infinite earths to get to this specific
earth where we Reside where jake was on the path
to Becoming a disney star and took a sidetrack and
became a boxer that has a Fight with Anthony. Fucking joshua, it's,
nuts dude even hearing him talking, about it.
Speaker 7 (01:39:54):
It's nuts i've never been knocked down or, knocked out even,
in Sparring but i'm in a where. That HAPPENS and
i know this, is dangerous but this is no different
than a, soccer player, you.
Speaker 5 (01:40:07):
Know losing by, the way.
Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
Did you guys. Hear, that look this is a very
important THING that i think we should pay. Attention to
listen To what jake.
Speaker 7 (01:40:12):
Just said i've never been knocked down or, knocked out even.
In Sparring but i'm in a sport Where.
Speaker 1 (01:40:18):
That i've never been knocked down or, knocked out. Even
insparring there is a reality that most guys in the
boxing space don't face until. They do right he talked.
About earlier delusional is only until. It's not jake hasn't been.
HURT yet, i mean maybe he's been Hurt Like hayne
wincing can cut, who knows but. Broken nose he hasn't
been wobbled yet in. A fight, and apparently according, to
(01:40:41):
him even. In sparring if the first time that you,
get hurt wobbled dropped Is Against, anthony joshua how in
the world do you deal with that. Mentally physically he
hasn't even experienced. It Yet and i'm not, saying that, Oh,
yeah jake you should feel what it's like to, get
dropped but it. Changes you everything about that fight can
change in. One, instant yes he's lost, a fight but
(01:41:02):
he's never felt real quote unquote failure in terms of being.
Sparked OUT and i, think again it's not a bad
thing because, thank goodness he still has, his health but
it can be in this matchup because that delusion that
you know my chin Is iron i'm never gonna. Get
hurt that mentality that he kind of does need to Have,
against aj he could get him walked onto a punch
that shuts the.
Speaker 15 (01:41:22):
Lights off and are you still being Trained By, Ben Davison?
Speaker 2 (01:41:25):
Lee Wiley will ben be in your corner on the Nineteenth?
Of december, SO no i won't be Trained By. BEN
davison i Said that london's a bit distracting. For ME
so i was invited to Train With. Team Usick so
i've Been. In spain we've been doing some good training Now.
Speaker 1 (01:41:40):
In, spain, yeah buddy, it's. Over, Dog hey i'm gonna
tell you, right now, it's. Over, dude yes it can
take a while to ingrain yourself with a. New camp
BUT if aj has Gone To camp usick and is
Training with, USIK'S coaches i don't see how that's not a.
Net benefit, first Off Love ben davidson really helped Out
With tyson fury coming back out of Its time iron
To fight wilder helped Out Getting anthony joshua's, confidence back
(01:42:04):
but it never felt like the right fit for him.
Moving FORWARD and aj has been with a ton of
different trainers at, this point a ton Of different but
going to the guy that was smaller had better footwork
out box you to get you prepared for a smaller
guy that's going to try to use better footwork to,
Out box he's probably the best thing he could. Have
done we All know aj is, a destroyer but sometimes
(01:42:25):
he gets in his head a little bit. Too much
sometimes he does more thinking and, you know trying to analyze.
Than fighting he does need to be a destroyer in,
this fight but he also needs to know what he's
walking in. There With and jake's gonna be a Little
bit he's going to try to be a, little TRICKY
and i think try To walk aj into the big.
Right hand THAT'S what. I is get the big man's
forward momentum to, walk forward hold the right HAND as i,
you know off the, back Foot and jake does have
(01:42:46):
some decent timing, with it but training with the team
that produced the best heavyweight of. This era bro pack.
It up, it's, Over dude but damn that's a good
team to.
Speaker 15 (01:42:54):
Be with does any part of you relish the opportunity
of perhaps.
Speaker 2 (01:42:58):
Ruining some big PLANS for ah in the team in twenty.
Speaker 7 (01:43:01):
Twenty, six yeah it's a massive mistake to look. Past,
This seriously i'm putting in a stint in all of.
Those plans don't, book anything don't arrange flights. And hotels
i'm knocking this guy out BECOMING the Ceo Of matchroom boxing.
Speaker 6 (01:43:16):
And changing, the plans and it's gonna be Me Versus
tyson fury.
Speaker 5 (01:43:19):
NEXT year.
Speaker 13 (01:43:24):
I.
Speaker 1 (01:43:25):
Like that, He said i'm gonna be the new bosson
match of. New ceo it's a little Shot At eddie
Hearn and i'm going to wreck all the Plans for
big h In the ring magazine to get what we have.
Now learned it's not really. A secret now they want
TO have aj Fight in february against somebody, not sure
and then in the summer HAVE finally Aj Versus, tyson
Fury and jake's trying to wreck all. Those plans he
(01:43:45):
said he was going to put a stint in. The
PLANS and i don't know if he knows anything, about
stints but stints actually open up blood like blocked blood
flow and help with. Blood clotting so, You actually jake
kind of, Was like i'm going to open up. THE
plans i had to put a stint. In that that
means that the plans are gonna they're gonna flow. REAL
smooth i don't know if he, missmoked THERE.
Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
But i like.
Speaker 1 (01:44:04):
The, confidence again it's it's. DELUSIONAL confidence i Do believe
jake believes that that he's going to do whatever he
says he's gonna do AND stomp aj or knock him
out or, you know beat him and then go and
take the plans that. Aj HAD and i agree with
him that it would be a mistake to overlook this
moment And treat jake as if He doesn't if he's
the same level of Boxer as Francis, and hanu you
(01:44:25):
Better treat jake even, more serious in, my opinion than You.
Treat francis and people are going to say that's, crazy
Way but francis was big and he, was strong couldn't box,
very well at least not on the level Of Even.
Jake paul jake's a better Boxer, than francis's no. Doubt
about can he hit His? Hard no is he, his
tall Big? Strong no but again in ten, ounce gloves
you never know what can happen, at heavyweight especially so just,
(01:44:45):
You know AJ's showing up not taking, this seriously not
training and overlooking and how HOW do i get Ready For?
Tyson fury that would be a mistake, for sure and
that would be the one way that he could. Get
caught and this whole thing could flip the box world,
Upside down SO that i Agree.
Speaker 7 (01:45:02):
With, JACON yeah, i mean look at look at the
last time they Came to america and what the plans
they Had Were andy ruiz.
Speaker 6 (01:45:08):
Stopped that so This Is andy ruis two POINT.
Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
Zero AJ can i ask you about?
Speaker 1 (01:45:13):
Those plans Are they rewiz two? Point? Oh sid and
again that. Is true you know they They Had andy
ruiz on a bit of a, short notice came TO,
the us thought it was gonna be, easy work and
then we go and funny enough and we go they
were like going to talk about setting Up The tyson
fury Fight After anthony ruiz and all these big fights
potentially wilder at, the Time and ruiz stopped. ALL that
aj cannot fall into the same trap that he fell
(01:45:36):
into all those. Years ago he has to have learned
his lesson about. Overlooking people i'm not Saying That jake
paul's the talent level Skill Level. Andy ruiz he certainly
in better Shape Than. Andy Ruiz, good god it was
like a bag of Milk watching ruiz. Walk around, but
again this IS why i say that there's all the PRESSURE.
On aj he can't even look weak in, this fight
let alone. Lose it he can't look weak in. This
fight he Can't let jake win rounds in. This, fight,
(01:45:59):
otherwise again to, the public that's. A loss are you
viewing it.
Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
The same way that the people around you are talking? About,
it well About, Fighting, february well, they're.
Speaker 5 (01:46:07):
Saying we have a Date, in february we have a
date in.
Speaker 2 (01:46:09):
The Fall the tyson fight is.
Speaker 1 (01:46:11):
Being discussed but you do have a.
Speaker 2 (01:46:14):
Fight.
Speaker 1 (01:46:14):
Already book, that's uh, you know you.
Speaker 5 (01:46:16):
Know how the.
Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
Game, Goes yeah i'm Gonna if i'm gonna, Be honest
i'm gonna break, His face i'm gonna break his. Buddy
up i'm gonna stump pull. Over him that's, my, mentality
right that's a fighter is MENTALLY and i know what's in.
Speaker 1 (01:46:27):
My heart, god, dang okay that WAS THE aj i wanted.
To see the tone switch. Happened immediately the mask slipped for.
A second all, The, Respectful hey jake has done a
lot to get to. This point respect him as, a fighter,
good luck he's doing. GREAT things a. Good person that
went by the wayside for, a second and AJ's real
(01:46:48):
mentality creeped out for just. A second i'm gonna. Be
honest i'm gonna break, His face i'm ana break, his
Body and i'm gonna stomp all. Over him THAT'S the
aj that needs to show up to. This fight and
IF that aj, shows up those words will. Be prophetic
that's exactly what. He'll do and that's the EXACT reason
I think jake is bitten off more than he can.
Chew bars at.
Speaker 2 (01:47:07):
The end of, The day it's just what happens at
the end of. The night i'm in there to Try
and jake out in ten seconds or, Eight rounds i'm
gonna go in there and do A job. I wanna
i'm gonna want to, hurt him, You know i'm gonna
want to really hurt him in. The, ring uh THAT'S
what i want. To do THAT'S what i mean.
Speaker 1 (01:47:24):
To do do you see the difference in MENTALITY when
aj lets the mask slip a? Little BIT when, Aj
SAYS i'm I want i'm going to. HURT him i
want to. Hurt him that should. Terrify everybody that sends
chills down my spot because that's the mentality of a.
Real Killer and jake has seen killers in, YOU know mma,
coming over but he's, had advantages physical advantages in, those,
cases right boxing experience advantages in, those cases youth advantages in.
(01:47:49):
This fight you don't really have any, smaller man, less experience,
less dangerous less height, less size all.
Speaker 15 (01:47:55):
Of it do you feel, you know some of the
talk has been, the Chin Right andy Ruiz. Du bois
do you subscribe to any? Of that do you feel
like there is a reset? Button there or do you?
Speaker 5 (01:48:04):
Say?
Speaker 1 (01:48:05):
It jay you were saying it on your. YouTube channel you,
were saying he's got a. Weak chin let's, hear it let's.
Hear it stayed on bathe think that that.
Speaker 2 (01:48:12):
Is not FAIR.
Speaker 6 (01:48:12):
TO aj i don't think it's necessarily FAIR.
Speaker 2 (01:48:16):
TO aj i just KNOW that i have, the.
Speaker 1 (01:48:19):
Power and they, Come, on jake you're supposed to be
that that.
Speaker 8 (01:48:23):
Shit.
Speaker 1 (01:48:24):
Talker dude you say it in your videos that he has,
a weakchin that he has a. Glass chin, come, on
dude say.
Speaker 7 (01:48:30):
It, now timing it's the shots that you don't see
coming that knock. People, Out True and i'm a tricky
knockout artist that people don't.
Speaker 6 (01:48:39):
Give me enough credit for of one knockout of.
Speaker 2 (01:48:41):
The year so he has to.
Speaker 7 (01:48:43):
Be CAREFUL and i do have the timing and the
speed and the, you know the tricks up my sleeve
to be able to hit a shot on this guy
that he doesn't.
Speaker 6 (01:48:53):
See coming that can put him.
Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
To sleep one.
Speaker 1 (01:48:56):
THOUSAND percent i don't Disagree that jake can hit him and.
Hurt him jake. Can punch he's a big kid that. Can,
punch now he's not big Compared To, anthony Joshua but usick,
wasn't Either and usick can punch and He hurt joshua
had him on Wobbly. Leg rui he's a, bit smaller
even though he was large horizontally and was able to
drop aj. Multiple times the Difference when, jake says, You
(01:49:17):
know i'm a tricky. Knockout artist i've one knockout of.
The year there's context that he's. Leaving, out yes He
won knockout Of the Year Versus tyron Woodley in tyron's
second ever. Boxing, match yes he's knocked people out. At
cruiserweight BUT again i go back to as the level
of competition Rose, for jake his knockouts started to fall
by the wayside as he fought guys that were better
at protecting themselves and better at quelling what he. Does,
(01:49:40):
offensively yes he still had, that power but it didn't
show up in the form of. Devastating knockouts how does,
that translate not only to heavyweight But Against? Anthony joshua
how are you even gonna get? To it you gonna
hope that he overextends on his jab and you bang
the right hand over. The top WHAT'S the i have
to know what this what the tricks are he's gonna try?
To DO because i don't.
Speaker 2 (01:49:58):
See it who was the opponent that you were supposed
to fight? This weekend He's In jake. Pool's camp?
Speaker 5 (01:50:02):
Who's?
Speaker 2 (01:50:02):
That, yeah come what's?
Speaker 5 (01:50:08):
His name.
Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
Oh It's.
Speaker 1 (01:50:11):
Cassius shaney, that's.
Speaker 6 (01:50:12):
Right okay and that's supposed to be and already whoop?
That Ass, sorry cash just, oh damn.
Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
That's supposed to be he got a broken knee? Right
now where was that supposed? To be that was gonna
Be In? Saudi, Arabia, okay yeah so we had a
good plan lined up to Fight In, saudi arabia get
on that big like not even, announce it but like
just turn up ring walk what's?
Speaker 13 (01:50:37):
He, doing no.
Speaker 1 (01:50:38):
W ship they were gonna do a mystery opponent On
The ring magazine card. THIS week aj was gonna be
like mystery fight On the ring four card happening tomorrow
or as you guys see this to day that would have.
Been sick i'm not, gonna lie but obviously you take
the Fight with jake, over this and then You hear
jake and their team AND even aj kind of. Exposed,
(01:50:59):
it yeah they brought my guy to. THEIR camp i
guess after this whole thing was set UP and aj
wasn't gonna be fighting on that, card anymore they found
OUT who aj was, gonna fight and To test jake
against the GUY that aj was probably gonna, flat line
they brought the guy in to See how jake would do.
With Him and jake, Is, saying Hey It's. Cassius cheney
he is six to Six, From. Baltimore maryland as a
(01:51:20):
Loss To michael hunter has some decent wins on here
has some not so. Great wins jake said that was
easy work and he broke. His knee maybe That means
jake hit him and knocked him down and had one
of those knockdowns where his knee got caught. UNDERNEATH him i,
don't KNOW but i, THINK again i, will say very
good plan From. Team jake those guys understand the game
better than most and they have the finances to kind
(01:51:41):
of just move things around. Very quickly, they're, like oh
we're Fighting, aj now let's get the guy that he
was gonna fight and See how jake does. With Him
and jake is acting like he did very well.
Speaker 2 (01:51:50):
With him so.
Speaker 15 (01:51:50):
Pretty interesting by, the way for all these years we
always Talked about jake versus ks sign Aj Versus. Tyson
fury who would have thought in the year twenty twenty
five and we Would get jake Versus.
Speaker 5 (01:51:59):
Aj o.
Speaker 1 (01:52:01):
Weird facts that has been the most crazy part of this.
Entire thing And when, eryl Says years ariel has been
Talking about JAKE and ksi for like the last, two years.
Maybe three the rest of us that have wanted To
see JAKE versus ksi has been talking about it since like.
Twenty nineteen that has been where the talks really. Have started,
and then, of, COURSE yeah Aj And anthony joshua should
(01:52:23):
have been fought for damn near.
Speaker 10 (01:52:24):
A decade my question to both man is who has
more pressure on them going into?
Speaker 6 (01:52:28):
This, fight, anthony yeah one.
Speaker 7 (01:52:32):
Thousand percent this is something that's gonna weigh on, right
like because of what.
Speaker 6 (01:52:39):
You said i'm going. IN there i can.
Speaker 7 (01:52:41):
Fight free if he starts getting touched up and, LOSING
rounds i think the cookie.
Speaker 2 (01:52:47):
Will. Crumble, mmmm.
Speaker 1 (01:52:50):
Okay here's the mind game Starting From. Jake paul this
is something that he does very very well with all,
his opponents the mind Games of i'm not supposed to
beat you and look at The resume jake. Was built
this might be the first time where the pressure meets
the actual narrative of. The fight jake should have no
pressure here outside of. Don't die AJ's gonna have a
(01:53:10):
ton of pressure from the, boxing community FROM the uk,
boxing community which right now and pretty much always is
far more vocal far louder and more involved THAN the us.
Boxing community and everybody Already thinks AJ's going to knock.
Him out SO if aj doesn't, do it or rounds
go by and he isn't, doing it And like, jake
said he could get a, little tense things could get
a little interesting. In there all of, a sudden this.
(01:53:32):
Fight FLIPS do i expect that? To, Happen no but
the pressure is THERE, on aj and almost SOLELY.
Speaker 13 (01:53:37):
On aj have the boxing fans you've been speaking to
since this was announced been telling you that you need
to knock this?
Speaker 2 (01:53:44):
Guy out do you know WHAT is.
Speaker 7 (01:53:45):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:53:47):
I've, Seen it i've. Heard it BUT as i Said to,
JAKE respectfully i need to cut him UP and i
need to break, him UP and i need to. Hurt
him and that's just what.
Speaker 12 (01:53:58):
We do.
Speaker 2 (01:53:58):
That's it there's nothing more. To it doesn't a matter
what anyone else, Tells.
Speaker 1 (01:54:02):
Me bro there's nothing more cold than a line served,
like that, without anger, without malice. WITHOUT theater aj just
matter of factly, Being like i'm gonna cut, You up
i'm gonna break, you Up and i'm gonna hurt you
because THAT'S what. I do THAT'S who. I am THAT'S what.
I like that's a cold. Motherfucking line. It is and
it's not even, a line that's. Just reality and that's
again going back to the to THE way i thought
(01:54:24):
that this video would. Play Out why jake may have
made a massive mistake is that in the, boxing game
this is the first time he's gonna step in front
of a guy, like, That right he's stepped in front
of guys like that that if they didn't have the
ten ounce gloves on and they could use their hands
and grapple and kick and punch and elbow and knee
that he would have seen that from Guys Like, tarren
woodley from Guys Like. Anderson silva when it comes to the,
(01:54:46):
boxing game he hasn't seen that dude with that level
of ability and experience and that mentality. Just Yet tommy
fiury didn't have. That mentality he says, he does but
it's different than actually being about. That mentality aj he
has been through the wars at the top level of.
This game he's like, he said come from nothing and
fought his way to. The top he Wasn't On, love
(01:55:07):
island had a ton of money and, Was, like hey
my brother's a. Good boxer i'm gonna. Try this this
is a real killer in Front of jake and it's
completely different than anything he's. Ever seen how's, It?
Speaker 12 (01:55:14):
Going Jake anthony travis with weighing In With. TRAVIS hartman
i Actually Fought terrence crawford in the PROS.
Speaker 6 (01:55:20):
And i went the distance with him and the DECISION that.
Speaker 2 (01:55:23):
I lost.
Speaker 1 (01:55:23):
LET'S go, i respect but, you guys. Thank you his
first question is, For.
Speaker 15 (01:55:28):
You jake.
Speaker 1 (01:55:31):
Have you heard of a Guy Named?
Speaker 5 (01:55:32):
Sam?
Speaker 9 (01:55:32):
Gerard no have you heard of a Guy Named?
Speaker 12 (01:55:36):
Christian, Solano No, Derek, Campos No john, Medina No Billy.
Daniels no and THE reason i asked that is Because
In floyd mayweather's fourteenth, pro Fight Fought, Sam girard Canelo Fought,
Christian Solano terrence Crawford Fought, Derek, CAMPOS muhammad I Fight
(01:56:00):
billy daniels.
Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
In your fourteenth.
Speaker 12 (01:56:03):
Pro fight You're Fighting. Anthony joshua.
Speaker 2 (01:56:11):
How does that make? You feel?
Speaker 1 (01:56:13):
Real quick this face, right here believe it, Or not
this Is what jake wants more. Than anything jake wants
the respect of the, boxing world and a guy like,
This Guy, travis hartman who was a. Pro boxer people
that do, this sport cover, this sport have been ingrained in.
This sport he won't say it, like this but he wants.
That respect and that's why you see that little grin
(01:56:34):
Out of. Jake there, and yes there's a little bit
of glaze in. That question and, you know that seems
like a very friendly Question, to jake but you, know
what it's a. Fair question i'm not mad at the
guy for phrasing his question. That way, and, again yes
That's because jake has a massive name and a. Massive spotlight,
Without that jake is Not Fighting anthony joshua in his.
Fourteenth fight but on the other side, of that the
risk involved With Fighting anthony joshua here and some of
(01:56:57):
the Fights that jake had in his first ten, eleven
fights most pros were either having or having worse opponents
for so when People discredit jake's career by, being like
he didn't fight, this guy he didn't fight, that guy
he didn't fight a number of this contender. Number that
look at your favorite fighter in their first fourteen fights
and you pick out the opponents that they had in
the level. Of, them sure you'll have your outliers Or
(01:57:19):
vasili lamachenko's and other guys that fought tough competition, Right
away but MOST and i, mean most meaning ninety five
percent of the sport of boxing had tomato cans until
he had fifteen to. Twenty One if jake, is credit
he's fund guys that even were better on his resume
than some of your, favorite fighters and now He's fighting
joshua us early that deserves the CREDIT that i know
(01:57:39):
in the ACKNOWLEDGMENT that I know jake is.
Speaker 12 (01:57:41):
Looking for do you think if you don't knock him
out that's considered a loss? For you win or lou
if you don't knock, him out do you think that's
a loss?
Speaker 13 (01:57:48):
For you.
Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
Are you all skin? For me are you a skin?
Speaker 12 (01:57:53):
For?
Speaker 2 (01:57:53):
You, Well both but in, your opinion if you go.
Speaker 12 (01:57:57):
Eight rounds and win a decision against a guy who's
only had thirteen, pro, fights, no, no.
Speaker 2 (01:58:03):
No, no no it's not it's. Not that that's That's what,
i'm saying that's. For you are you asking? For me
are you asking from, your perspective.
Speaker 1 (01:58:11):
From, your perspective?
Speaker 2 (01:58:12):
From? Mine yeah is it a win for you if
you just if you just beat him or do you
need to knock? HIM out i need to knock. HIM
out i. Like that why did you? Stop? Fighting what
why did you? STOP fighting i got, Three, kids, YEAH
focus i.
Speaker 12 (01:58:26):
Got forty six, pro fights one hundred and seventy. AMATEUR
fights i.
Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
Might get, you, something GUESS because i love. DOING this
i might get you in for. Some Sparring, for jake.
Speaker 1 (01:58:36):
He just gonna spar the fucking the guy asks. ME
questions I like AJ's, answer there and it's the only
answer truly that he or anybody else can have in.
This situation he was, asking, like oh is it from?
Your perspective, for mine doesn't really matter whose perspective. IT'S
from aj loses in the court of public opinion if
he goes to a Decision With. JAKE paul i don't
(01:58:57):
care if he wins, the fight he loses in the
court of. Public opinion Just. Like tyson fury lost so
much respect and so much adulation when he Took the
Francis and ganu fight and then almost lost and arguably
could have lost. That fight it was. A stain it
was on the sport on him, by proxy and people
made up, excuses, Like oh tyson didn't take, Him Serious
(01:59:19):
oh tyson, was overweight but it, still happened and you
can't take that, memory away and this would be of
a similar STATURE. For aj and people might even consider
it a worse THING for Aj because jake's not a,
natural Heavyweight because jake's never been a champion even in.
Another sport they, May, go yeah losing Rounds to jake
or going to a Decision with jake is even worse
In what tyson Did. WITH francis i don't necessarily agree,
(01:59:40):
with that but the POINT is aj has To knock,
jake out no question. About it it has to be,
the Result and i'm GLAD that aj has the confidence
to speak that and not, go well, you know if
it is, a decision then, it is and that's. What,
happens no this has to end one way and one
way ONLY for aj by. Knockout again this Is why
jake has, no PRESSURE because aj has to knock, him
(02:00:01):
out and if he can't, Do it jake can go
around for the rest of his career, Being, like, OKAY
yeah i lost to a guy with far more experience,
than me but he couldn't knock. Me out couldn't. Hurt
me if he can't, hurt me none of y'all can't
you Know what i'm saying absolutely has to be An.
AJ knockett i want to ask a Question For.
Speaker 13 (02:00:15):
Anthony joshua every time you've taken a defeat in, your
career come, back, better stronger more motivated and. Looking explosive
what does that set in you each time you take?
A loss and how motivated are you to Take On
jake paul in?
Speaker 2 (02:00:25):
The spout it's. THAT great i want to be up
just as much as people want to see. Me down,
the negatives the people that don't believe. In me is
HOW much i want to BE where i need. To
be i'm, just, hungry, devoted dedicated and That's why, i'm,
chasing chasing giving. Me More, all, Right Cool ben davis a.
(02:00:45):
Phenomenal Coach, all right you know what?
Speaker 9 (02:00:48):
Us?
Speaker 2 (02:00:48):
Sick ben what do? You think ben's one? Hundred percent
that's a. Great move when out there spent time with
the free time On. Disputed champ they're, killing me. Drilling
me but this IS where i need, to be and
that's How serious I'm. Taking jake respect. To him i'm
not Only. Fighting jake i'm fighting is like, his mind
the psychological Aspect of JAKE that i need to break
(02:01:08):
a man who believes, in himself they say. He's delusional
i'll go to break. That delusion i'm bring him down to,
reality check make him up reality check in the ring and, Quick.
Speaker 1 (02:01:18):
Question oh, my goodness and YOU see aj understanding Exactly
what i've been saying Is that jake Lives in jake
even knows this on delusional optimism because he hasn't. Experienced
yet what happens when? That breaks what happens when reality
fits its way in to the reality you've created, Up
(02:01:38):
here when that shatters and you're in front of a,
real killer that shows you that it is more than
just delusion at, this point it's more than just self
belief that's going to to get You past at, this
point you're still gonna have to have the attributes and
the ability and. The skill THAT'S what i like to
see OUT, of, Aj like i'm not Even, Fighting jake
i'm fighting. His mindset i'm trying to break that delusion
(02:01:58):
and bring him back. To reality bars.
Speaker 2 (02:02:01):
Official prediction what is it you got Chewed Into netfix
december nineteenth to find out we're not going with a.
Speaker 15 (02:02:08):
Specific round you said. Knockout already that's My dream i'll
go bring it.
Speaker 2 (02:02:13):
To reality.
Speaker 6 (02:02:15):
OFFICIAL prediction i think a fourth or fifth round knockout.
Speaker 1 (02:02:19):
By me jake is saying fourth or fifth. Round. Knockout
interesting surviving to the fourth and fifth would be. A
win again in, my Book, for jake the knockout would.
Be unthinkable face.
Speaker 15 (02:02:29):
Off time let's go an eight round heavyweight battle that
is Going down, december nineteenth live and Exclusively.
Speaker 1 (02:02:36):
On netflix.
Speaker 5 (02:02:39):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (02:02:40):
Why god if you Thought that Jake and tank face off,
was ridiculous look. At this jake has got a fresh
Look at. AJ's titties he's about to motor boat. Them
shits he is eye Level with. AJ's pectorials this is,
fucking crazy bro. LOOKING up i saw that after, THE
presser aj had a. Cold line he said he went
(02:03:02):
from looking Down at tank to looking up.
Speaker 5 (02:03:04):
At. One uh and.
Speaker 1 (02:03:06):
IT'S true i, mean again it's not just. The height
look at the mass and the width and. The Build
like jake is having to build himself, into heavyweight and
obviously you can't, build height but he's trying to put.
On size is naturally, that, Guy man he's naturally just
that strong. Ox motherfucker AJ's Bigger than. Jake's bodyguard you
Know what, I'm saying like he's bigger than The guys
(02:03:28):
jake hired to, protect him and they can't even protect
him in. This fight. That's incredible, and again, you know
body language, expert. TIME whatever i see belief in both.
Guys eyes jake isn't hiding from, it again, delusional optimism.
Delusional confidence he's. Not hiding AJ's not hiding. From it
AJ's there to stick it. On him he walked right up, on, Him,
like yeah this isn't some play. About show i'm here
(02:03:48):
to knock you the. Fuck out ain't no, Sympathy here ain't, no.
Hey congratulations you know you got big balls taking. The,
Fight no i'm gonna treat YOU like i treat. Everybody
else that's exactly what it needs. To be don't like
it Looks like jake is trying to get into, the
club and the, bouncers, like, NAH bro i need to see.
Some id you're getting escorted from. The club oh, My
(02:04:09):
god Look. At nikisa, nikisa's like what the fuck are?
We doing look, at him shake, His head, he's like,
oh man what are we? Doing? Here again, it's. Insane
dude jake barely comes past His, shoulder jake you have
officially lost your. Mind anyway, all, right man there it.
Speaker 2 (02:04:25):
Is.
Speaker 1 (02:04:25):
Folks listen we have so much more to get to with.
This fight breakdowns, of styles breakdowns, of interactions all types
of different stuff that we're going to continue to do
as we get closer and closer to. This fight but
today was the first, press CONFERENCE and i want to, ask,
you guys what did you? See here both guys respectful
for the, most part, In here jake was playing some
mind games and honestly showing the delusional confidence that he
(02:04:47):
has aja matter, of fact there to do, a job
not messing about with the, mind games not really playing back,
into him not, taking bets only there to cash checks
And take jake's. Head off that's what we want to
see from, both guys confidence in danger on. The line
AND again I think jake has made a terrible mistake
here that he doesn't even know yet because of that,
delusional confidence because he's put on these big events and
(02:05:09):
all of the business around boxing has maybe put him
into a corner where this is the event he had
to do because Of the tank fight, falling through because
of the numbers Of The mike tyson fight him we talk.
About pressure that might be the Pressure that jake is
under to build a massive event and to keep his
name on that. Massive SCALE but i think this time
and this Choice Of anthony joshua was. A mistake THAT'S what.
(02:05:30):
I think you guys let me know down. Below again
we are just getting started with. This fight build. More
coming and The question i'll leave off with who won this,
press conference if Anybody between jake and aj and does
it mean anything for. THE fight i don't have. Those answers,
But folks christmas is coming early because We Got jake
Paul And anthony joshua in one of the most. INSANE
fights i never thought we'd see what Happens, On friday.
(02:05:52):
DECEMBER nineteenth i guess we'll, find out. All right so
we're back on the way concept Presented By The, ring magazine,
And folks David Benefit el monstrow. Is back he just systematically,
broke down brutalized And Defeated anthony yard in one of
the most dominant. Ways Possible and i'm not talking About
A devin haney domination where he's putting people to sleep
(02:06:14):
and not inside, the ring not. A shot i'm Just
playing Congrats To devin haney winning a belt in his
move to one hundred and forty seven pounds three. Division
champion that cannot. Be ignored he is an. Extraordinary talent
what he, DOES next i have. No idea maybe we're
On some. Xanax, Commercials okay I'M. Playing vam rodriguez was
also dominant Tonight And adila mason's an absolute Dog and
(02:06:35):
i'm spelling that dawg because that man gets down and
throws bombs with people every. Single Fight sam noakes won
a few fans tonight. As well but the, main story
and the only story that we're gonna talk about Today
Is david benavidez as He Stops anthony yard in the
seventh round of this. Main event what just happened and
what's Next? For benavidez those questions got answered tonight and
(02:06:56):
more so let's talk about it to. Break down let's go,
All right so main, Event Time anthony Yard And. DAVID
benavitez i thought potentially any of the four fights on
the main car could be, main events Maybe Not, abdulla
mason but main events for a lot of, different cards
but they're packed into one night of the champions Card
for ring four fantastic EVENT that i think again showcased
(02:07:18):
the best and brightest in the sport, of boxing and
from young to veteran, to elite you saw it. All
Here But david benavidez ends off, the night which was the,
right call because let's, be Honest The Devin Handi Brian
norman junior fight left a little bit to be desired
as far as the action packed card that was, around it,
but nevertheless this was the main Event In david Benavidez
(02:07:38):
And anthony yard showed up for. A war that was
the talking point leading into, this fight that both guys
were going to swing, it out that both guys were
going to be in there and looking, for blood that
both guys were going to showcase the old school. Of
boxing and that's kind of exactly, what happened at least
on the Side Of. David Benavitez. Anthony yard he welcomed to,
that fight but didn't necessarily get as fully into It as.
Benavidez did as the. Fight started it was a, more
(02:08:00):
patient feeling out process in the first round from. Both
guys but you saw the tempo of, The fight you
saw how it was going to go from start. To
end Which Was david benavidez on the front Foot And
anthony yard on the, back foot and that was pretty
much the story of. This Fight anthony yard trying to
be a counterpuncher off his. Back foot i'm not sure
what the reasoning was. For that, maybe okay we Walk
ben avidez into some shots and maybe we heard him
(02:08:22):
off the back foot and then change the tempo of.
The fight but when You're Fighting, david benavitez you have
to stop him in. His tracks if he gets the
train rolling down, the tracks it's. Over with it's him
eighteen wheeler going full, speed ahead combination punching to the
body in upstairs. As well there's not much you can
do about that when he is in, that flow when
he is dogging it out on the front foot and landing.
(02:08:44):
Heavy volume if you're not able to do that and
you're looking for that one shot off the back foot on,
the ropes you're gonna get dominated in a Way That
anthony yard kind of got. Dominated tonight he didn't have
the power To Back david. Benavidez often it's not to
Say That anthony yard didn't, land punches and he wasn't
there for the fight. HE was i just thought it
was bad strategy, and uh worse execution because he couldn't
(02:09:05):
land a punch that got the Respect To. David benavidez
he landed, good punches but not one that Would hurt
benavitez Like A david morell landed, on him or even
earlier in his career when he. Was dropped so it
wasn't like a strategy was proving to, be successful and
they kept going back. To, It Meanwhile david benavidez started to,
heat up as he does. In fights he starts little
by little to break you down with, that pressure with
(02:09:26):
that pace and with, that volume and it was a.
Masterful Display when benavitez gets, it going when he is
on the front foot and he's looking, for, blood man
he is one of the most special guys to watch
because it's. Devastating intent round, after round you saw Him
Back anthony yard into, the corner, land, combinations bloody his.
Face up i'm pretty sure He Broke anthony, yard's nose
(02:09:47):
swelled his eye up and. Everything else and at the
end of, the Round After david benavidez had walked the
dog on him for, you know a good, two minutes or.
So straight You'd see benavidez Look At anthony, yard, LIKE
yeah i got more of that coming. Next round you
thought that was the worst. OF it i got more
for you Coming like it was pretty surreal to watch
how as the rounds, went on more And More david
benavidez got more and, more devastating more and. More brutal
(02:10:08):
as the fight, went on and as we got into the,
SIXTH round I Think anthony Yard. Caught benavidez maybe it was,
The fifth i'm, not sure maybe fifth or sixth caught
him with, a nasty sneaky counter, right hand which was
again a lot Of What anthony yard. Was doing maybe
he was trying to conserve energy because he is a
bit of a bigger light heavyweight and he's really, muscle
bound so maybe, He's, thinking OKAY if i can get
him into the last part or that last half of,
the FIGHT then i can really turn. It up but
(02:10:30):
the Problem With david benavidez is as you trying to turn,
it up he turns it up, as well and he
can go to a level that these other fighters at one,
sixty eight at one, seventy five and as we'll find
out after the fight at two, hundred pounds they can't
Go to he's GOT a. Vip four when he presses,
that button that elevator keeps going up and there is
no ceiling to. Stop it and that's probably his. Greatest
(02:10:50):
weapon like you look at the two guys in the
ring and You Think, anthony yard the beast From, the east,
this massive muscled up, light Heavyweight And, david benavidez, big
guy tall guy but looks a bit so off to,
the midsection doesn't have a ton, of muscles and he doesn't.
Need him he kind of has the perfect bill for
this style, of fighting, heavy, volume punching muscle memory to turn.
Shots over the requestions coming into this Fight About david benavitez's.
(02:11:11):
Punching power he hadn't stopped any won at one. Seventy
five can he punched with these guys at? Seventy five
will his power? Carry over or was he just a
weight bully at one. Sixty eight turns out he got
Rid Of, anthony yard who stood there with Archer better
biez and traded punches and he made it look easy
as we got into that fifth and. Sixth ROUND like,
I Said anthony yard caught him with a counter right
hand and he cut the Bridge Of david, benavidez's nose
(02:11:33):
and in the post, Fight Interview david, benavidez, said yeah
that's the MOMENT where, I, said okay you want to,
shoot out. Let's go already winning probably all. THE rounds,
i mean you Could say yard maybe won. ONE round
i don't know which one you'd, give HIM but I
Thought david benavidez was pitching a shutout and then decided
to go to that next. Level Again. Anthony yard you
kind of, asked yourself is he not letting his hands
go because he's a little tentative of what's, coming back
(02:11:55):
or is he trying to Wait. Out benavidez we get
into that sixth and then eventually the seventh round you start.
Speaker 12 (02:11:59):
To.
Speaker 1 (02:11:59):
Understan oh this Is Why anthony yard didn't want to
get on his. Front foot this is why he didn't
want to plant in the center of the ring and
go back and Forth With david benavitez because he's going
to lose. That fight the more times you open up,
to throw the More times benavidez will, counter you and
he's gonna throw three to four to five punches to.
Your one he's got incredible handspeed at one seventy five
(02:12:19):
and again devastating when it adds up the more the,
numbers go AND again i Just maybe, i'm wrong but
it's not only just, the numbers but it feels like
he gets. More devastating the power starts to hit harder
as he goes through, the fight and they get to
the end of the sixth round and one of the
Craziest things i've. Ever seen and again you see some
of these Highlights from. Benavidez fights he's in the Clinch
And anthony yard Has Pinned david benavidez's right hand under his,
(02:12:41):
left Hand and benavitez on the other side, is, like
cool you can hold. This arm we're in. The clinch
i'm gonna throw seven hundred left hooks in a row
and they're gonna all land to the body. End upstairs
it was like a video game the way he just
kept going to. The well referee wasn't separating him because
one guy was working in the clinch and one, guy
Wasn't and benavidez was trying to pop the head off a.
Pez dispenser he Was Lighting anton yard up with that
left hand. And again you started to see it in, rounds,
(02:13:03):
four five. And six he Was Breaking anthony yard down
more and more. And more he started to see the
physical anguish on the face and Body. Of yard you
started to see him not engage. As much you started
to see him take that backstep and look to play
more defense than defense to. Offense transition benavidez was systematically breaking.
Him down we get to the, seventh round and this
is how much of A gangster. Benavidez is he goes
(02:13:24):
into that seventh round not looking to, let up not
looking to take a foot off the, gas pedal but
looking to slam that pedal through. The floorboard as he
got even more volume off in the, seventh Round Had
anthony yard up against, the ropes hit him with a
right hand, left hook, nose broken probably, bleeding profusely and
he punches him down to. The ground let's say. That
(02:13:46):
again he punched him through. The ground, NOW again i
think he blanded a Couple as yard was getting to
the ground and his knee may have been touching, the
Ground and benavidez landed a. Couple More refere he took
two points Away From david benavitez in, that MOMENT which
i Don't think i've ever seen two point point on
one occasion. Like that maybe he hit him with two,
illegal shots which, is Why but benavitez was trying to
put him through the. GROUND again i don't think it
(02:14:07):
was like bad sportsmanship or he was, trying, to like,
you know do something against. The rules just got carried
away a. Little bit but my point is that's how
much violence he wanted, to inflict even in the, seventh
round and he didn't care that he got the two
points taken away because about a minute later he followed
up even more And Stops anthony yard with, a nasty brutal.
LEFT hook, i mean blood was flying through. The air
it looked like a horror film in that, seventh round
(02:14:29):
and it was a devastating, left hook and the Referee
Saw anthony yard start to get dizzy, and WOBBLY and
i think one more punch would have dropped him. For
good but he. Steps in the fight, has Stopped And david,
benavidez says let me remind y'all who el monstro? Really
is no. Decision victory this was an absolute systematic Destruction From.
(02:14:50):
David benavitez this was huge or his name for his
career or again to reexemplify that el monstro mentality. A man,
I mean i get goosebumps watching that kind of performance
because that's the type OF boxing i like. To see
that man is nasty and, he's violent and he knows
he is and that's what he wants. To be that's
(02:15:11):
what this sport is supposed. To, be yes we have
the sweet science of hitting and not, getting hit and
there's nothing wrong. With that if that's your type of
boxing that you like, TO watch, I understand, but boy
there is nothing like watching a dude like that that's
just a bad motherfucker excuse. My language go in there
against another bad Motherfucker And anthony yard who's been there
with other, bad motherfuckers and make him, look obsolete make him,
(02:15:34):
look silly just make him look like he's not even
in the same League As. David benavitez and that's exactly what.
He did benavidez KEEPS His Wbc light. Heavyweight championship but
then we got the announcement of. All announcements after, The fight, You're,
thinking Okay maybe benavidez goes And. Fights archer better beevor,
you know we've heard the stories about Him and, bivil's
sparring but then we think maybe. That better Beev and
(02:15:56):
bevol are gonna do. The trilogy it is. One One
although i'm not necessarily need to see. THE trilogy i
think we've seen enough from. Both guys even though if
if you want to do, the trilogy, that's Fine But
david benavidez swerves the. Whole Thing david, benavidez says y'all
can have. Your trilogy as matter, of fact y'all can have.
Light heavyweight i'm going to Cruiserweight and i'm Gonna Fight Zerdo.
Ramirez son. That's RIGHT the Wbo cruiserweight champion Of the
(02:16:18):
world just fought and Beat To. NIEL dordakos i think
it was, this, year Yeah in june of. This year
he does have one loss on. His record it was
To The mitri BiVO at, light heavyweight but then he
since moved, To cruiserweight he's had some very. Good wins
i'm gonna, be honest though he did not look Great,
against dordakos and The Way david benavitez fights with that type,
(02:16:39):
of volume with that type, of nasty with that type, of,
gas tank he doesn't. Slow Down david benavidez might win that.
Fight easily i'm gonna say, that now he might win that.
Fight easily we'll see what type Of shape zordo. Comes
in we'll see like how he approaches. That fight zorto when,
he's on when he's, in shape when he's when he's
taken a. Fight seriously, AND again i don't know what
happened In that, dordacoast fight but he did not look good.
At all he looked like a heavyweight in There when zorto.
(02:17:00):
Was on his feet. Are moving he's a good, volume puncher.
Great boxer he better have some of that. And More
When david benavidez rolls into town at, light heavyweight, if
not that motherfucking monster is going to destroy even at.
Light heavyweight he's got the frame, for it he's got. The,
size hell he's taller. Than me i'm. SIX four i
Don't Think david benavidez is gonna struggle in that fight
even a. Little Bit so zordo a better pack. Of
LUNCH because i did not expect that announcement. Right here
(02:17:22):
i'd heard the Rumors that benavidez was gonna go to
cruiserweight to Potentially. FIGHT zordo i thought maybe he'd say
around in his fight at light heavyweight before, doing That
but benavidez is on the move and he said he's.
Doing it here's the other interesting Part on. May second in,
other words he's putting his flag in. The ground That's
a canelo. Fight date That's a canelo. Fight time That's Usually.
May september canelo dominates those two dates in. A Year david,
(02:17:44):
benavidez said if you're gonna run, from me if you're
not gonna, Fight me i'll take. Your dates there's a
new sheriff. In town there's a new Star in, mexican
boxing and his Name Is. El monstro, so, yeah man what,
A fight what. A card ring four once Again Delivered Turkey,
yella shake killing it with the matchups and these fighters
unders standing the opportunity that. They have the Guys Like,
abla Mason Even, sam noakes even Guys Like devin haney
(02:18:04):
moving up and getting his, third Belt Dropping Brian norman
junior when all the talk Was About Brian norman junior being,
the devastator being the, knockout Artist and devin, comes up
drops him and essentially shuts him out and wins. A
Decision bam rodriguez absolutely doing a Number On. Puma martinez
that was, nasty work treating him like he wasn't even
in the, same ballpark even in the, same league even
in the. Same stratosphere we'd love To see bam and in,
(02:18:27):
a way even Though in away is probably a little,
too big, but hey we need some big fights for the.
Little guys all, in all. Fantastic event let me know
what you guys think. Down below what's next for all?
