Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey guys, it's pain. If you like true crime or
you like comedy podcasts, then I have the perfect show
for you. It's called Wisecrack, a new podcast series from
Tenderfoot that's truly a first of its kind. Wisecrack blend's
stand up comedy with a very real, investigative true crime.
Wisecrack follows the comedian Ed Hedges. Ed experienced the scariest

(00:24):
and most traumatic night of his entire life. Two people
were brutally murdered and then the killer shows up to
Ed's house. This night was extremely traumatic, and as a
way to process it, he turned the entire story into
a stand up comedy set. And when a TV crime
producer stumbles upon his quirky yet creepy performance, it did

(00:45):
more than just get a few laughs. It sparked a
year's long investigation, forcing him to deal with the truth
behind the tragedy. Wisecrack is out now, and I promise
you don't want to miss it. Part comedy special, part
true crime documentary. Check out trailer and while you listen,
search Wisecrack on your podcast app to follow the show.

(01:08):
Please welcome to the stage, Ed Hedges.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
My name is Ed. Everyone says hello, ed from a
very rural background myself. My dad is a farmer and
my mom is a cousin, so like it's not like
not loads going on.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Ed Hedges, a slender, floppy haired up and comer stands
on the stage. He was captivating and quirky and had
the audience eating out of his hand. And then the
whole night took a turn.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
On the twenty second of July twenty fifteen, I woke
up to that noise coming from my front door. That
was the loudest thing I've ever heard in my life.
And at the end of my bed, staring out of
my window, there is someone standing. She is terrified, and

(02:14):
she says, whatever you do, do not turn on the lights.
In quest into the Death of a woman and a man,
the lifeless body slumped on the sofa and covered in
her own congealed. He also repeatedly stabbed and caused a
fatal head injury at least day forty one stab wounds
to the head, neck and torso plus fourteen blunt force

(02:36):
injuries and defensive wounds. Or twenty second of July twenty fifteen,
between eleven and twelve o'clock at night, twenty three year
old man had killed his family and then he came
to my house.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I was shocked and so was the audience. This can't
be true, but I had to find out more. The
mystery would take me to a small village outside of
London and the murders. They didn't stop there.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Does anyone know what show they've come to see? Well,
it's a story and it's about the scariest night of
my life.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
