Speaker 1 (00:00):
On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Mike's are now live. Mario Lopez, You're back in the
mix after a great weekend. A lot of Hollywood buzz
to catch up on today, including the artist who is
having a little trouble shaking off his criminal past. We're
also going to talk male hygiene. Sounds like some guys
are missing a couple of spots. We're gonna get to
your comments too, so hit up bar mentions. You're on
with Mario Lopez, John, Mario Lopez, and Adam Levine is
(00:24):
returning to his chair.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
On with Mario. Hollywood Buzz.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well. It's been five years and ten seasons since Adam
left the Voice in twenty nineteen, but in twenty twenty five,
he's making a return. Adam's going to be coaching again
for season twenty seven, alongside John Legend, Michael Boublay, and
newcomer Kelsey Ballerini. Adam is the second longest Service coach
behind Blake Shelton. His singers have won the show three times.
(00:51):
NBC will air one more season before Adam returns. The
coaches for season twenty six will be buoblaz Snoop Dogg,
which I'm still very confused about because he didn't sang.
But okay, Riba McIntyre and Gwen Stefani the Voice. With
all due respect, I still couldn't tell you one winner.
It's hard. It's really a showcase for the judges. They
get to display all their new music, they get to
(01:14):
talk about their tours and what have you. So it's
it's great for them, and I mean, I guess it's
it's great for the contestants and their exposure. But we
haven't really had any guests too often from the Voice,
have we.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
No, Yeah, less they're a coach, unless they're a coach.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
You're Mario Lopez kicking off a new sweep stakes today.
One lucky listener and a guest. We'll get to see
Train live in concert, and you get to pick the
city you want to go to. We're gonna cover Airfair
two nights, so Hotel plus. We're gonna throw in a
meet and greet with Pat Monahan, lead singer, and some
cool merch Live Nation furnish the prize package. So thanks
to them. To enter and get the rules, just go
to Onla Maria dot com and good luck. You're Mario Lopez.
(01:56):
Let's take a look at what's on TV today. What
we got?
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Discovery Premiere six gets Frenick Brothers and All American Family
is torn apart by madness when six out of the
twelve siblings developed schizophrenia.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Oh my gosh, that sounds like a nightmare. I didn't
know you could develop schizophrenia. I thought you were born
with it.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Game show Network debuts Beat the Bridge. Contestants answer trivia
questions by stepping on answers on a giant bridge, but
they only keep the cash if they get all the
way across.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Oh that's kind of fun physical. It's uh, I was
gonna say frog or We're not really more like Pitfall
took from Squid Game?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I think?
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Is that? Is that a squid game?
Speaker 3 (02:32):
There's a thing in squid Game that's similar. Huh except
you die in you fall Less aggressive.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Ja mar Lopez and jelly Roll says he's still running
from his past on with Mario Hollywood was well before
he became a recording star, Jelly Roll had a lot
of run ins with the law. A matter of fact,
he says he's been jailed around forty times for drug
related charges. Well, that's all in the past now, but
it's still on his permanent record. He says it's hard
(03:00):
for him to perform outside of the US because other
countries won't grant him at work visa because of his
rap sheet. Yeah, it's hard to travel when you're a
convicted felon, and there's really not much you can do
about it, So that's kind to hurt his international plans.
He's obviously made a big turnaround both with his life
and physically. He's lost like over one hundred and fifty pounds.
(03:22):
I think, so good for him.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
More Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Up, Mario Lopez. Here was some quick buzz for you.
We told you last week about the new TLC show
about the Baldwins. Well sounds like Ilaia nearly went to
a different reality franchise. Andy Cohen says he had some
preliminary talks with her to join The Real Housewives of
New York. Those meetings eventually broke down. Andy says he's
very curious to see what the Baldwins do over on
(03:46):
TLC because he didn't think Alec would be willing to
give him a lot of control to reality producers. I'm
sure it's really going to be focused on her and
the kids, with Alec doing cameo appearances. Mario Lopez. Here,
it looks like we got a new message on our
inbox courtesy of the talkback button on the iHeart Radio app.
Let's hear it.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Hi, This is Jenny French from East Song Meadow.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
I love Adam Levine and I love Maroon five.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Can't wait for to be back on the voice and
my favorite song is Payphone. It's happy ever After Dude Exist,
I would still be holding you like this.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
All those fairy tales are full love song.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Oh be sick.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
You could have done the radio version.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Wow, Jenny, I like the commitment, appreciate the message and
love that that you commit that. That's great. I'm sure
Adam and the boys appreciate that. Listen. We love hearing
from you, So just hit the talkback button on the
bottom of the iHeart Radio app. You, Mario Lopez. Let's
get to your comments. What'd you find in our mentions today?
Speaker 3 (04:55):
This is from at Shady King three five seven. You
know how hard it is to make a hit song
because Kanye is best at it and he'd rather make
adult movies.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah, Shady King three five seven is referring to a
recent article that came out as a matter of fact,
I posted it. If you want to see some wild headlines,
I usually post them on my IG stories and the
real headlines. I just like to make little comments. For example,
before Kanye, I'm just looking at what I posted today.
Will Smith believes men should sit down when they pee
to avoid messing the bathroom up. And then the very
(05:27):
next one, Kanye West launches new adult film company and
wife is not happy, to which I responded, I'm as Christian, Kanye,
what happened.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
That gospel album was good?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Mario Lopez, here is some quick buzz for you. Sounds
like the door might not be closed just yet for
the CBS show Blue Bloods. Fans and actors were disappointed
that it's going to end after season fourteen, but the
president of CBS says they will be expanding the franchise
in some form. No word if that means to spin
off or a prequel or something else. Entirely, Tom Sellek
(06:03):
has been politicking the network to change its mind. Blue
Bloods has been the third highest scripted show in all
of broadcast TV. Wow, that's pretty impressive after fourteen seasons,
and yeah, why would they stop it if they have
stats like that.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Donnie's got to go on tour.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
You know what, dot maybe he's part of the spinoff.
That'd be great for him. Mario Lopez here in the
Capitol One pre sale for this year's I Heard Radio
Music Festival kicks off on Wednesday. Bot, We've still got
a chance for you to win tickets before you can
even buy them. All the infos at on with Mario
dot Com. This year's the lineup is looking pretty epig too,
coming like a Byo, Big Sean Wins, the Fannie Shaboozie,
(06:42):
the new Kids, so many more, and I bet there's
gonna be new announcements coming pretty soon. All right, let's
get back to the music. Yeahon, Mario and Courtney Lopez
got some celebrities turning a year older. We're gonna try
to guess the agents.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
What do we got from the other woman and a
three time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model kateof and wife.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Of Justin Verlander, wife of Justin Berlander. Kate Upton is
Kate Upton Berlander thirty six. I want to say she's
thirty two, thirty two is correct?
Speaker 5 (07:14):
Did you date her?
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Uh terror Terry Lipinci nineteen ninety eight Olympic gold medalist
in figure skating.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Okay, so ninety eight, she was probably seventeen eighteen because
those figure skaters, what is that for another I'm gonna
say she's thirty eight forty two.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Let me just say quickly, your math to figure out
what she was in those years wasn't bad. She is
forty two though.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I pictured her being my age. Yeah, I just thought
because might have been.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
She would have been. She's basically our age, so like
ninety eight, we were in eleventh grade whatever. So yeah,
so you were good about that?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Was right?
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Just my mass Yeah, the ag draw, my Matt. The
first part of your math was good. The second part
didn't work out. And Elizabeth Hurley from Austin powers dazzled.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Elizabeth Hurley has to be sixty two. She looks amazing.
Just saw her recently. I'm gonna say I don't think
she's I'm gonna say she's fifty six.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Fifty nine.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
More Mario Lopez coming up? What up?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Mario Lopez here with good news for Hunger Games fans
are getting a new book in the series Sunrise on
the Reaping. Ooh, it's a good title. It's also a
prequel to the original trilogy, just like the last one,
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, that's already been made
into a movie, of course, so odds are this one
will be to Sunrise on the Reaping will hit stores
next March. Mario Lopez here, and let's take a look
(08:50):
at what's trending on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Ray J sits down with Shannon Sharp to talk about
his time with Kim Kardashian. You can search Club Shashe
to find that.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Yeah, Shannon Sharp has turned into the go to gossip spot.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
He's kind of like breaking the Internet with the guests
that he has and the things they say.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
I like Shannon Sharp I recently. I've known him for
a while, but I sat in the same box with
him at the Hollywood Bowl and he's a large individual.
Him and his boxes aren't very big. They're not so
it was we were cozy up in them. A real
nice guy.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Country artist Zach Williams tells Bobby Bones how he made
Dolly parton Cry. You can find that by searching Bobby Casts.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Why would you want to make Dolly cry that's not cool.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
And you recently revealed what you did to get pulled
over on the highway. You find that on the podcast
version of this show. To just search on with Mario
on your iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Your old Mario Courtney Lopez has put on our thinking caps.
It's town for Courtney's a random question, which you got?
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Honey?
Speaker 2 (09:48):
All right?
Speaker 4 (09:48):
If you were in the Lord of the Rings, which
type of character would you be a hobbit, an elf, an,
or patrol.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Or a wizard. I know you'd probably say a hobbit
because of my what's going on with your feet? But
I think I would be an orc, even though they're
crazy looking. Those dudes look like they whoop, they need
to kick some button. They're ready for battles. No, the
Orcs are like the monster, like, oh yeah, yeah, you
guys are awesome. They'd be an awesome Halloween costume.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Or Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Mario Lopez here with details of our newest sweep stakes
this week. The prize is a trip for two to
see the band train in any city you want. We're

(11:05):
Snoop and more. Comes to theaters on October eleventh, but
you can see the trailer now Alwindmario dot Com Jo
Mario Lopez, guys that I have some interesting choices when
it comes to hygiene. Zay Malik only uses water to
wash his face. He says, soap is horrible for your skin.
(11:26):
Note to self, don't kick it next to Zaye Malley,
bro you got to stop with that. And fellas, let
me tell you something. Don't get all bohemian on us
if you stink and you're ripe. No one's gonna want
to kick it with you. You're not doing anyone any favors.
You're just making it very difficult for people to want
to hang around you. And please do not get on
(11:47):
an airplane and travel with people if you're not using
water to watch the rest of your body. Travis Kelsey's
brother Jason says he goes months without washing his hair.
What the heck? No, he says, it's completely unnecessary. Neither
Travis nor Jason washed their feet in the shower unless
they're covered with dirt. Bro, They're always covered in dirt.
You're you're going out with Taylor Swift? What is the
(12:09):
matter with you? You gotta you don't wash your feet?
Speaker 3 (12:12):
I heard she doesn't wash her legs in the shower.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Wait, what how is that? That's not that that that
can't be true. That can't be true because she shaves
and so you have to be right there. Of course,
that's that, yo. What's the matter with these funky guys?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Man?
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I'm sorry?
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Mario Lopez?
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Coming up, Mario Lopez here. We got some fun to
celebrate today. It is National egg roll Day. You know,
an egg roll for me? They're either you find him
either really tasty or they could be nasty. Oh there's
no no in between. It's just like they're there. It's
a crapshoot, which is why I typically turned them down.
Yeah I'm not I'm not like, oh, I want to
get an egg roll, but once in a while you
(12:47):
will find a really good egg roll. Mario Lopez here.
Want to give a shout out to one of the
property brothers, Drew Scott. He and his wife Linda recently
welcome the second baby. It's a girl named Piper. They've
already got a two year old named Parker. Piper Parker. Okay, also,
congrats to them all. You're a Mario Lopez, Netflix is
(13:08):
gonna make you upgrade your gear.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
On with Mario Lopez, Hollywood. But so, it's.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Already annoying when a streamer raises their prices, but now
Netflix is making a lot of people upgrade their hardware.
If you have a second or third generation Apple TV,
the streamer will no longer work starting July thirty first,
Well that's not cool. What Netflix says it wants to
maintain the best possible experience and those devices are now obsolete.
Well what if you can't afford it right that that
(13:37):
all this is not cool at all. So if you
want to continue using the streamer, you're gonna need to
upgrade to a newer Apple TV or buy a Roku.
I think maybe the roku' is the way to go.
I mean that.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Sounds like they colluded to rip us off.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah, that's asking a lot of people. I don't like that.
Like when Apple has a new phone, but you also
have to buy all the new chargers and stuff. That's
when they get you are awful.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Ario Lopez on the way, it's up.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
You're on Mario Lopez, and it's time for one last thing.
Very special guest in the studio right now, my daughter,
Gia Francesca Lopez. How are you.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
I'm good.
Speaker 4 (14:11):

Speaker 4 (14:15):

my life.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Why are you so excited about summer right now?
Speaker 4 (14:21):
Well, school is just a lot.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
Seventh grade was crazy. I'm so glad it's over. But
I feel like summer is going to be really fun.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
What are you most looking forward to?
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Probably going on vacation, going to the beach. I love
the beach.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
We are this year, We're actually going to have your
birthday party at the beach.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
I'm so excited. I'm so excited.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
You're excited about that? So get this because I figured
it was a lot to ask people to drive all
the way out to the beach, right to have because
there's a lot for parents.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yea twenty five minutes with no track, No, right.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Exactly, it never happened. So I'm going to get a
big party bus and have the parents drop off at
our house, and then Jia and about twenty five of
her friends We're going to drive him to the beach,
hang out for a few hours, then come back. Who's
dad is cooler?
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:09):
I know he got a lot of that's a lot
of points points.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
That's gonna be how you're ending the summer ultimately, right, Yeah,
you're right. Yeah, that's an awesome way to end the summer.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
That is great way out of the summer.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
You know what, we need to put that on the invite.
Great way to in the summer and celebrate me. Just
go to the beach. What you think?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Okay, do you get to go?
Speaker 1 (15:30):
No?
Speaker 4 (15:30):
I'm so excited for that, Like I can't. I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Do you still have to have a combined party with Dominic?
Speaker 2 (15:35):
No, we're not doing you. No, not this year. Dominic.
I asked him what he wanted to do. He wants
to take a couple of his buddies and do six Flags.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
I thought you were gonna say Vegas.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
No, no, not. He'll probably be hitting me up for
that in about another twelve years. But he's gonna do
six Flags, to which I said, Okay, I'm gonna take you,
but I'm not doing the rights. I can't do. Those
rides are crazy. Back to here.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
You know, you're getting a little older. It's it's tough.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
It's tough. It's tough, but fun. I am now chaperon
in eighth grade. You're gonna be in the eighth grade.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
I'm so scared.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
You're scared about I'm scared, Like I'm scared you'd be
ruling the school and it's the one year that you're
gonna have. I'm both your brothers there.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
I'm not scared four eighth grade. I'm scared ending eighth
grade like I'm I don't want to go. I don't
want this to be my last year before high school.
I need like I need more time.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Guys, why need more time? No, we don't want that.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
No, you get another year.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah, but what are you scared about? We went to
visit the high School's gonna go on. You said you
like it.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
It's just gonna be like really different.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
I know, different is good. So one constant thing in
life is change. So the more you get used to
its inspirational. Thanks, get roasted.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Okay, you know what, He's right though. He's right though, guys,
what do you say?
