Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I like it story you're getting with him.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Shia Labuff is just shy of forty That was real.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Five.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
So he's forty four.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I'm gonna say he's forty one. Thirty eight, Oh very young,
thirty eight. He's been through a lot.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Peter Dinklige from Game of Thrones Infinity Gauntlet.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Peter Dinklige is I'm gonna say he's fifty two.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Peter Dinglidge is fifty three fifty five.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
Uh. And finally from House Veep, Stuart Little, Hugh Laurie.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Hugh Laurie is sixty sixty.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Two sixty five.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Hey more, Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
You're Mario Lopez, and let's take a look at what's
on TV today.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Hulu has season two of Wreck. After escaping the cruise
line killer, the gang goes undercover to bring down the
people behind the murderer.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
What is this wreck in a cruise line?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
A cruise line wreck? There's a lot going on here, Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Paramount Plus has How Music Got Free? An inside look
at the rise of Napster and file sharing in music.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Oh, that's kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
That actually is that's going on the nightstand.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Ah, that's going on the nightstand for sure. I forgot
about napster. Is that a round still?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
I don't think so, because the rejective everything they were
doing was illegal. But napster was basically a way just
to get free music downloads of MP threes huh. But
it was also around the time of like dial up initially,
so it was like you would wait for hours for
like a one song.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
That's pretty interesting.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
And Netflix has season two of Tour de Front's a
behind the scenes look at all the drama of the
twenty twenty three race.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Very very grueling, intense race. Maria Lopez here, and this
should get you fired up for the return of House
of the Dragon. Producers say season two will be bigger, batter,
and even more dragon ear I love it. Fans will
also return to two familiar size in West Ros Winterfel
and The Wall. Oh nice. New episodes air on HBO

(02:36):
starting Sunday night. All right, let's get back to the music.
Joe Mark, Courtney Lopez, time to learn new live back.
What is the topic today at Corty's Corner Productivity.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
There's something that Benjamin Franklin, Beethoven, Leonardo da Vinci, and
Michael Jordan all have in common.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Okay, NBA Championships, no cloth.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
They all wrote down to do lists each day.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I see.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I'm a big I'm a big fan of this.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Yes, it may seem old fashioned in the era of smartphones,
but they actually make you more thoughtful and productive when
we write things out. Our brain patterns are much more elaborate.
It makes it makes it remember and understand things better.
I am still a fan of a calendar like that.
You write in not my calendar on my phone.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You know.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I love me a list and I write lists all
the time. And the irony is when you write it down,
you don't necessarily even look at it anymore. But because
you wrote it down, some registers in your brain.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
So yeah, I like this, Mario Lopez. We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
You're all Mario Lopez And this week' sweepstakes is for
all the train fans or sending one winner and a
guest to see them live at the city of your choice.
Talking airfare, two nights hotel, two great seats at the show,
plus a meet and greet with Pat Monahan and some
exclusive merch. Lot Nation made all this happen. Thanks for
providing the prizes, to entering it, all the rules. Head

(03:58):
over to Onodmarrio dot com. Mario Lopez here and we
find something to celebrate every day. Today is corn on
the Cob day. I love me some corn on the cob.
I've described how I grew up eating it at a
lot of Mexican families will get the corn of the
cob DALs with butter, then put mayonnaise, then put hot sauce,

(04:23):
then put parmesan cheese. Oh, and for some reason everything works.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
It was so good.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
The guy there was a guy that used to walk
through my neighborhood a little cart and he sold it.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I never bought it.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I should have the best. Well, you'll start seeing them
probably in the summer. Yeah, and that and the fruit
stands are the best, John Mario Lopez, Let's get.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
To your comments.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
What's in our mentions today?

Speaker 4 (04:46):
This is from Matt Ben Shipwrecked? Is it okay for
celebrities to attend funerals?

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Like?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Would my dead uncle appreciate everyone taking selfies with Mario
Lopez on his big day?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Do you know this person's uncle on his big day
been shipwrecked?

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Listen?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
If I happen to have known your uncle and he
was a friend, or we had worked together, whatever, I
would have paid my respects. And if other people were
there taking selfies, I don't want to be rude. And
what if it makes someone maybe I feel a little
better that day or something I would not Can I
turn it down?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
I think it's okay for celebrities to tend funerals. I
think it's inappropriate for everyone at the funeral to go
up and ask the celebrity for a selfie.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Well, that's on the person. If the celebrity starts volunteering
we wants a selfie, then that's not a good look.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
More Mario Lopez coming up Mario Lopez and Kate Hudson
is fishing for a biopick on.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
So, Kate is focusing on her brand new music career
right now, but that doesn't mean she's given up on acting.
In fact, her dream gig would be playing Stevie Nicks
in her bio pick. Oh that's a great goal right there.
She says it could be a trilogy her life before fame,
her years was Fleetwood Mac and then her solo era.
So maybe a series biopick as opposed to a film.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Wasn't that kind of what Daisy Jones and the Six
was supposed to be about.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I feel like Kate is perpetually stuck in her role
from almost famous that Cameron Crowe Moll even in real life.
That's what I'm saying. Shared that Black Crows singer The
Engineered releasing her mus and then the lead to exactly
all that. Kate says her family, you would hate the
idea because she usually goes method when it comes to
acting and going full Stevie maybe a little much. I
kind of like that casting. It kind of sounds that

(06:28):
they're going to do it because she can't sing, and
obviously she's passionate about music. That's kind of pretty good casting,
I think.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
More. Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Mario Lopez here with details of our newest sweep stakes
this week. The prize is a trip for two to
see the band Train in any city you want. We're
gonna fly you there, put you up in a hotel

furnished the prizes, so we got to give them a

(06:58):
shout out. Only way to enter I get the rules
as they head to on with Mario dot Com. Mario
Lopez here. Today's guy should be zooming in any moment now.

(07:19):
It is skateboarding legend Tony Hawk Olympics are coming soon
and skateboarding's back for its second games. We're gonna find
out who's gonna be watching in Paris. Plus, while he's
teaming up with Starbucks this summer, keep it locked in.
I'll be chatting with Tony next w al Mario Lopez
join me now on Zoom Skateboarding Hall of Famer The
Man Tony Hawk, Welcome back, buddy.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
How you been, Thanks good, Thank you? How are you.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I'm well, I'm well. Thanks for taking the time. It's
always great to see you. Just announced today your new
collab with Starbucks. Tell me about this partnership.

Speaker 7 (07:50):
Well, I wanted to tell people how good the iced
coffee at home is from Starbucks. And so you always
see me doing stuff that's like, don't you this at home? Well,
this is something you actually try at home, and I
have my own difficult version of doing it, but you
can see that online.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Dude, I drink a Ventie ice coffee every day, and
so now you're telling me I can try it at
home and do because because yeah, ice coffee is a
difficult thing.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
So how do you do it?

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Well?

Speaker 7 (08:19):
Either through cake they have ca cups or concentrate and
my favorite is the signature black ice coffee blend. But
they all have vanilla and other flavors, and you can
actually make I mean.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Most people don't buy ice coffee.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
Most people don't make ice coffee at home because they
think it's better when they get it from a cafe.
But this actually tastes like cafe style.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Okay, I'm gonna try. Hold I'm gonna trust you doing that.
Are you a coldbrew guy?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Colber black ice black?

Speaker 2 (08:46):
That's what I'm saying. Okay, me too, Although I do
sometimes like a like a smidge of non fat. I
don't know why. It's like a little like a little
smidge and uh and I'll do a splendor that's my
move right there. Well, hold on, Tony, we got to
take a quick break. I'm gonna have more with Tony
Hawk in just a moment.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Or Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Up, Mario Lopez here. My guest today is Tony Hawk. Hey,
what do you think about that Australian teenager who landed
that nine hundred?

Speaker 3 (09:11):
I I'm not kidding you.

Speaker 7 (09:13):
Behind my computer right now is my ramp and she's
on it right now.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Are you serious? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (09:19):
I just went out there to ask her what she's
going to do with that skateboard because I want to go.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
I want to buy it from her.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Dude, that's awesome. Are you still sang.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Is San Diego?

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, Oh, that's awesome. That's I like, you're from the
Paway area.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
What are you again?

Speaker 7 (09:32):
I grew up in Tira, Santa Tierra, and then my
parents moved to North County when I was in high
school and I've been here ever since. That's to answer
a question, Arissa. I mean she's really phenomenal, not just
from nine hundred, but just in terms of her her trajectory.
I mean, she's learning tricks. I mean I just saw
her do two new tricks just now that are save

(09:55):
for only the most veteran vert skaters.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
She's just thrown them out there easily. Dude.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
That's so impressive. That's awesome. Well, can wait to see
what she has in store? All right, hold on, we
got to get back to music.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Went on.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Mario Lopez here, got Tony Hawk on Zoom with me,
and skateboarding is also returning to the Olympics this summer.
Who you keeping an eye on and outside of the Americans,
who really brings it?

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Wow, there's so much talent.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
I mean, there's Japanese skaters that are just killing you
right now, especially like Utah.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
But I would say.

Speaker 7 (10:30):
I got my eyes on take Carew because I saw
him coming through all the qualifying and everything and he
just won the last qualifying. He's from the US, he's
actually from our area, and I mean, in full disclosure,
I sponsor him. But there's a reason for that.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
That's awesome. That's awesome, man. I love it that you're
still so passionate and keep up with it.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
It's so cool.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Will The Olympics started July twenty sixth on NBC. Let's
play some more music right now. You're on Mario Lopez.
My guest today is Tony Hawk, and I hit the
fifth level recently fifty years old, and I'm trying to
dial it back a little bit with with the training
and adjust because these injuries, man start piling up and
it's getting harder, and you seem to still be going

(11:12):
full throttle or had you chill out a little bit?

Speaker 7 (11:15):
Oh, that's a hard question to answer. I went through
a pretty bad injury a couple of years ago. I
broke my femur.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
You broke it, you broke it in your fifties. Yeah, oh,
that's got to g normally.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
What happened.

Speaker 7 (11:29):
I was just skating to skating my ramp doing a
MC twist like I do I've been doing for forty years, right,
and because I didn't have enough speed and thought I
was still, you know, young enough to pull out of it,
and it didn't work. But I think that was the
that was my super hard reality check, come to Jesus man.
Since then, yeah, since then, I've been really way more

(11:51):
into working out, training, stretching, like I didn't do any
of that stuff all through the years, and now I'm
I'm way more disciplined and I'm actually getting better than
I was kind of before I got hurt. But I
feel my mortality and I feel like I know I

(12:12):
got to work at this. I'm gonna keep doing at
my age. But hey, welcome to the fifty club.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah, thank you. Yeah, And likewise, you know, I now
go early when I'm going to train and stretch and
warm up, same thing as you just get in there,
started doing stuff and now, yeah, you got it. You
gotta be smarter about it. Well, I got one more
thing I want to ask you, but I gotta take
a little break I'm gonna wrap it up with Tony
Hawk in just a moment.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
You're the full interview now on with Mario Doug More
Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Mario Lopez here wrapping things up with today's guest, Tony Hawk.
And you've also got a podcast, Hawk Versus Wolf. What's
it about.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
It's my friend Jason Ellis and I.

Speaker 7 (12:47):
He's a former pro skater too, but also he was
an MMA fighter, And it's just us doing interviews with
some of our favorite people sometimes just telling our stories.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
I mean, between him and I, we have.

Speaker 7 (12:58):
A lifetime of crazy stories, you know, in skateboarding.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
And uh, it's funny.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
I mean really, that's the bottom line. It's it's just
an escape.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yeah, oh that sounds like a good time.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Man.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
It's always great seeing your buddy. Congratulations on everything. Look
forward to hopefully seeing you in person. And listen, you
can get the new Starbucks iced coffee blends and Colebrew
concentrates wherever you buy your coffee. Tony, thanks for taking
the time.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Thanks Mario, You're all.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Mario Lopez with a quick reminder about this week sweepstakes.
Unlucky listener and a guest we'll get to see the
band train in the city of their choice.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
We'll fly you there.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Put you up at a hotel for a couple of nights,
and give you great.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Seats at the show.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Plus you're gonna get to meet and greet with the
band singer Pat and throw in some exclusive merch. Big
thanks to Live Nation for hooking at all up. To
enter and get the rules, just visit on Withmarrio dot Com.
You're all Mario Lopez and Maya Hawk embraces her inner
NEPO baby on with Maorio Hollywood Bush. So, Maya Hawk

(13:57):
is pretty talented in her own right, with roles in
Stranger Things and Asteroid City, but she admits that she's
gotten some roles due to her famous parents, Ethan Hawk
and Uma Thurman.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Well.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
One of those was Once upon a Time in Hollywood,
where she played one of Charles Manson's followers. She says
she's comfortable with being called an EPO baby. She knows
how lucky she is and loves learning about the business
from her father.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Hey, you know what, that's cool. She gets it and
she's she's good. I watch Stranger Things.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
She is good and listen.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
You wouldn't take advantage of that opportunity.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
And if you didn't have the talent, it's not going
to sustain. Like Michael Douglas would be considered an EPO baby,
right because his father was a big star, Kirk Douglas.
But Michael Douglas was an awesome actor, probably one of the
biggest actors, especially in the eighties. He was one of
the biggest stars. Or Manson and Stone, basic instinct, it
goes on and on, Yes, exactly. Speaking of Wall Street,

(14:50):
Charlie Sheen, his father Martin Sheen, big actor prior to
Charlie and Emilia. But Charlie and Emilia are pretty good. Yeah,
so it's not too far fetched to think they're probably
going to inherit some of their.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Talent talents a bit.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
And if they have an interest and the opportunities are there,
like I said, who wouldn't well, and then.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
If they're not good, people will not respond.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yes, more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Mario Lopez was some quick buzz for you. Comedy Central
can't get enough Beavis and butt Head. They've renewed the
cartoon for a third season after the first two seasons
air on Paramount Plus. Oh my gosh, we really are
going back to the nineties. Comedy Central is also going
to air the movie that was previously only available on streaming,
Beavis and Butt Heead Do the Universe. Look for that

(15:37):
on July third. Mario Lopez here in. The lineup for
the Ihireto Music Festival is here in. The Big Capital
One pre sale kicks off tomorrow. It is our fourteenth
year for the festival September twentieth and twenty first at
the T Mobile Arena in Vegas. This year's lineup includes Camilakabo,
Gwen Stefani, Big Sean Hosier, The New Kids, Some Anymore.

(16:00):
If you want tickets before they go on sale tomorrow,
just head over to onomarrio dot com. You're on Mario
Lopez time of For one last thing, I found this
on Reddit and it may be the worst name you
could give your daughter, ab City, but it's spelled ABCD wow,
like the letters correct, like the alphabet abcd E. Believe

(16:22):
it or not, there have been four hundred ab Cities
born in the US since nineteen ninety. Why are you
doing that to your kid? Life's tough enough and you give.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Them one of those names and oh my.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Gosh, Well, you know, people like to be unique. So
there you go that moor.

Speaker 6 (16:38):
Mario Lopez coming up all right, time for me to
pass the mic.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
But I am back tomorrow to give you the behind
the scenes stories from my celebrity golf tournament. Plus we're
gonna have a new case in Courtney's court. Until then,
Mario Lopez saying good night
