Paramount Plus debuts Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
a new animated series that finds the Turtles on the
run and all alone.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I still want to know why all the turtles are Italian,
Like God, that's just.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
Coincidence because Master Splinter, who was the rat that trained them,
he was a fan of all the artists, all the
artists like Michaelangelo and Leonardo and all that, so he
named them after Oh you know this, I grew up
with a Ninja Turtles. I owned the technodrome, I got lamp,
I had it all. So they weren't really Italian, they
just named after No, they were just normal turtles who
lived in a sewer.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Got Netflix has Blue Ribbon Baking Championship. The best bakers

Elliott masked tombs in so many good ones.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
I'm going to Sam Elliott's gotta be seventy six eighty
eighty is crap.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Wow, I'm feeling it great.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
That is no more Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Mayo Courtney Lopez. It was some quick buzz.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Twenty twenty four has claimed yet another concert casualty. But
I'm not surprised by this at all. Lauren Hill and
the Fujis have called off their tour, which was supposed
to start today. There's no reason why Ticketmaster quietly notified
ticket holders.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Earlier in the week.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
We know why, don't Yeah, the shows in Europe are
still in the books.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I wouldn't get too excited over there.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
This is the third year in a row. Lauren is
canceled some or all of her tour dates third year
in a row with the Fujis.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Prior to that, she's.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Infamous for not showing up. What is her deal? I
love me some Warren Hill back in the day, but
I don't know what happened. Kyle tried to see was
it last year, but she was like it just be.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Like, what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
I just don't understand. It's very disrespectful.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
It is to people's time. You're right, what a Mario
Lopez here. We're gonna play a few more songs that
get into today's guest. It's our buddy Jacks, the singer,
songwriter and TikTok star.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Her album Dear Joe is out now. Plus she's gotten
married since we last talked, so we've got a lot
to talk about. We'll get onto all of that next.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
It's up being all Mario Lopez joining me now on
Zoom singer and songwriter My girl Jacks, Welcome back. Hi Mario,
nice to see you. How have you been good?
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Good?
Speaker 6 (03:55):
How are you?
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'm well?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Thank you since you were last on the show, you
walked down the aisle. Well, how has married life been
so far congratulations by the way.
Speaker 7 (04:04):
Thank you. It's good.
Speaker 6 (04:06):
We got to go on our honeymoon in Antarctica, which
was crazy.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
So wow, totally off the grid.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
You don't hear that too often.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
We'm prompted that.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
Yeah, we just wanted to go as far away from
la as we possibly could, totally off the grid and
do a hard reset.
Speaker 7 (04:23):
So stop penguins. It was great.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
That's definitely a hard reset. Was it what you thought
it would be?
Speaker 7 (04:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
And more.
Speaker 7 (04:32):
It was absolutely wild. It was dead silent out there.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
That's kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yeah, so married life and like children in the future
or something not that we were not thinking about right now.
Speaker 6 (04:46):
You know, we're always thinking about it. We're like, I
hope so you know, I've been in I feel like
ever since I got married this like new gear kicked
him around, like, oh my gosh, I could start a
family right now.
Speaker 7 (04:58):
That would be crazy to have little ginger baby is
running around.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Well, good for you, that's awesome. That's so cool. Well,
we got to talk about your album, Dear Joe, but
we got to take a little break. We're going to
come back with Jackson just a moment.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Mario Lopez here, I got Jack's on Zoom with me,
and your debut album dropped earlier this summer. Dear Joe,
how's the response been so far? What are people thinking?
Speaker 7 (05:23):
It's crazy?
Speaker 6 (05:23):
I think every it's kind of exactly how I had
imagined it in a way, because every song is so
bizarre and different that people connected with different things in
different ways. Like I talked about past trauma and things
that like I had a hard time singing about forever
and I finally got to write out on paper, talked
(05:44):
about like what I'd experienced in Hollywood, some things about
you know, the kid I babysit and Chelsea and kind
of feeling protective and watching her grow up, and some heartbreak,
some love songs. I think everybody found kind of their
song on the album that responded to it, and we're like, Okay,
this is what I connect to, which is all I
could ask for as a writer.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Well, you can listen to Dear Joe on iHeartRadio or
wherever you get new music. Hold Ti, Jack's gotta play
some more music right now. Mario Lopez Here, my guest
today's singer songwriter Jacks, and the current single is Too
Young to Be Old has been pretty big on social
what's the story behind that one?
Speaker 7 (06:23):
Crazy?
Speaker 6 (06:24):
It's crazy, you know, I'm hitting that age I think
a lot of people I realize a lot of other
people have as well, where you know, your parents start
to get older right in front of your eyes, and
it feels really fast. Yeah, there's like moments where I'm like,
this is crazy.
Speaker 7 (06:40):
I forgot that you are just a.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
Human being, and you know, now I'm moving on into adulthood.
I watched I kind of saw my dad in the
past year, and my mom as well, and just people
I love, you know, getting just a little slower than
they were before. And it's starting to freak me out.
It's like my biggest fear. I'm so close to my
father that my greatest fear in the world is watching
(07:03):
him get older. And then there was like a week
where we weren't speaking. We thought about something stupid, and
I was just up all night one night being like,
oh my gosh, like what if anything happened.
Speaker 7 (07:16):
To him, you know, And and I didn't call him
to say.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
I loved him, and I just yeah, that process of
you know, him giving me away. When we walked down
the aisle it was just such a spiritual year and
I just felt like vulnerable and I wanted to write
about it. So I woke up and I did and
I cried in this room and then lost my mind,
and then eventually showed it to him once I recorded it.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
But he loved that.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
And by the way, I know exactly what you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
It is.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Yeah, Let's go By really sucks. It does well on
Jack's Got more music right now, all Mario Lopez my
guest Today's singer songwriter Jack's and well see of the
TikTok video with Haley welped the Octoo girl, How did
you get together?
Speaker 7 (08:00):
I had stopped her down.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
Honestly, I felt I've been feeling this like older sister
instinct kick in when it comes to like young girls
you know that end.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
Up in Hollywood really quickly, like overnight.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
Even myself, I've been working for a long time with
the intention of being an entertainer, and even then when
things happen really fast, it's so overwhelming and there's so
many people that are out to take advantage of you.
And I just wanted to honestly meet her and talked
her and see if I could she hold her to
lean on, and she's so.
Speaker 7 (08:32):
Cool, she's so normal and just like she's just.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
Literally a kid that said like a silly thing like leaving.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
A bar once and all of a sudden her life changed.
Speaker 6 (08:40):
And the cool part about it is that you know,
she dropped out of school because she was taking care
of her grandmother who raised her, and all this opportunity
came from something so stupid, but like, you know, what
would anybody.
Speaker 7 (08:56):
Else do with that opportunity.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
So she's now donating to Shell, she's able to support
her grandmother.
Speaker 7 (09:02):
She's living the dream. And yeah, it's kind of crazy to.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Watch that is that is?
Speaker 4 (09:06):
That's great, that's cool to hear.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Well, I got one more thing I'm want to ask.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
We got to take a break.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
I'm gonna wrap it up with Jackson just a moment.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
You're the full interview now at on with Mario Doug
More Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Mario Lopez, you're wrapping things up with today's guest Jacks
And I know you collaborated with.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
The guys from in Practical Jokers recently.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
What can you tell us about that?
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Is that a surprise deal?
Speaker 6 (09:27):
I could I could tell you that I lost Honestly,
I was just going. I thought I was just going
to meet them, and they were like, get on the show,
so I got to see. I'm such a fangirl of
them and I've watched their show since I was a
kid with my little brother. It just brought Even on
tour buses, it's just running to keep us. It's like
therapy and going behind.
Speaker 7 (09:48):
The scenes to see the next boys. It is exact.
Speaker 6 (09:50):
All my questions were answered about what happens when somebody
gets really pissed off and just want to be on camera,
and like how it works when we're in like this
weaty bass of a like a supermarket while the two
of them are upstairs and we're actually like live in
real time pranking people.
Speaker 7 (10:06):
It's just crazy.
Speaker 6 (10:07):
It was awesome, and I lost, and now they showed
their feet on my TikTok because that was my punishment
for losing.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
So wild Jackson, It's so nice to talk to you.
I hope I get to see soon. Congratulations on everything,
both professionally and personally. And meanwhile, you can listen to
Dear Joe on iHeartRadio or wherever you get new music.

I love you guys, just always being here.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Absolutely thanks Swedie, take care.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
What Amaro Lopez here?
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Taylor Swift is still due to perform at London's Wembley
Stadium next week. In the aftermath of the thwarted Terrace
plot on her concert in Vienna, Taylor's team is working
with promoters to beef up security. She said in the
past that this is the biggest fear in her life. Well,
it seems legitimate, but I'm sure she's got a quality
security team.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
All over it.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Let's get back to the music. Time from us see
movies with Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at
its new in theaters and streaming this weekend.

who teams up with a ragtag team of misfits to
save the planet Pandora.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
What is she in Star Wars Land?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Is she like the Mandalorian?
Speaker 4 (11:38):
It might be a different Pandora.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Huh?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
I love me some Kate Blanchett, no really good actress.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
It ends with us In theaters, Blake Lively is torn

Speaker 1 (12:05):
All right.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
The Instigators on Apple TV, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon
are two thieves who go on the run from j Loo.
I'm sorry. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are two thieves
who go on the run with the help of their
therapist when a robbery goes wrong.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
I would want to see the first run.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
That sounds like a comedy, Go on the Run with
your Therapist, Okay.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Inside the Minds of a Dog on Netflix. It's a
documentary that reveals scientific and emotional insights about man's best friends.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
I want to see this more.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Mario Lopez coming up?
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah, Mark Courtney Lopez and the price continues to drop
on Kim Zosiac's.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Home On with Mario Lopez, Hollywood bus.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
So I feel like we've been talking about this all year.
Zolsiak and kroy Miherman have a little more than two
weeks to sell their mansion or it's going to go
into foreclosure.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
I offer fifty bucks more than once.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
For the fourth time in eight months, they've had to
slash the asking price. They cut another two hundred and
fifty thousand. The house is now under four million. They
don't find a buyer. The bank is going to sell
it on August twenty sixth four pennies on the dollar.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Fifty bucks is gonna work. It might need the.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Money to settle with deck collectors and the irs. This
is not a good look at all.
Speaker 7 (13:19):
Man.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I just don't understand how they can get into these situations.
I just it's just so stupid.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
You try to keep up with the Joneses libbyon your means,
and that's how it happens.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Or Mario Lopez.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Coming up, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Here is something to celebrate every day. What's today's holiday, honey?
Speaker 3 (13:38):
It is National Polka Day.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Hey Polka. That's a nice fun dance right there.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
We have a friend of ours that does polka. Who
but tit? She's a polka dancer.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
I thought she did river dance.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
I thought she made pies.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
She does square dancing, polka dancing, she makes pies.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
She doesn't like me, so I don't care.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
She doesn't like me either.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Mario Lopez, he was some quick buzz for you, Nelly,
saying he's been unfairly treated in the wake of his arrest.
This week. He was cashing in some casino winnings when
an officer ran a search for warrants that turned up
a citation from twenty eighteen for not having proof of
auto insurance. So he was coughed and the officer found
ecstasy on.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Him, and that's where it went bad.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
You know, you think you don't have to worry about
those little tickets, but it catches up with you and
then it can snowball. Nellie's lawyer said any other citizen
would not have been coffed and would have been allowed
to go on their way. We'll see how this all
turns out, Yo, Mark Courtney Lopez top for another fake
debate where the topics are made of on the spot,
but the passion is very real. Who's prone Who's con today?
Speaker 5 (14:44):
I think Courtney will be pro, you will be conn.
You'll have fifteen seconds to make your case. Ten second rebuttal.
Your topic today is people being rude to you in
your own home.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I'm probe people being rude to me in my own.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
Home, Yes you are, and go.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
People being rude to me in my own home is
a blessing I feel because I'm not a hope. I
don't like to host.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I don't like Oh I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Go on in your old student.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Yes, I don't like coasting, I don't like people over.
I don't like communicating. So if you're rude to me,
that just allows me to go about my day without
caring about you.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Mister Lopez, how.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
DAEs someone come into your home and be rude to you?
They would be asked politely because you don't reciprocate the
rudeness to leave. If they're not going to be respectful
enough to greet the matriarch of the home.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
I will not put up with that.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yet you keep inviting her. You just are missing the
whole point. I will gladly have people over if they're
rude to me, so I don't have to talk to
them and I can go to home goods.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Mister, there's no room for rudeness at Casa Lopez. Come over,
and try that see how it works out.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
For Tell Mario what do you think? On Twitter? At
On with Mario More Mario Lopez on the weast.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Mario Lopez here with a quick reminder about the iHeartRadio
Music Festival.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
We're only six weeks.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Away now, September twentieth and twenty first in Vegas. We're
gonna be giving away trips to the festival all month long,
but you gotta know the keyword to text at two
hundred two hundred. Tune in Monday at nine am, one pm,
and five pm for.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
Your next chance to win.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Good luck and hope to see there. Mario Lopez. Here
was some quick buzz for you. Eugene and Dan Levy
are in talks to host the Emmys next month. They
are a father and son duo. It wouldn't be the
first time they hosted together. They did the SAG Awards
back in twenty twenty, also hosted an episode of Ellen.
This year's ceremony going down September fifteen. Y'all, Mario Courtney Lopez.
(16:47):
Before we take off of the weekend, we can maybe the.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Final word with our comment of the week. What do
you got honey?
Speaker 3 (16:52):
So this is from Josh North Southeast West. He said,
my mom called me and told me how much she
likes watching Snoop at the Olympics, and I had to
remind her that she grounded me for buying his CD ones.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
You know, it's an amazing turner. Snoop has had a
lot of people may not remember, but he was actually
charged with murder and got cleared with it. Yeah, don't
remember the song. Murder was the case that they gave me.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
He had a saw and he didn't do it.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Well, he didn't get convicted of it.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
And usually even allegations, much less charges will be enough
to kind of ruin a guy's career, but not in
America if you hang around long enough and if you
continue to stay the course. And I think he's done
a great job sort of having this positive influence with
youth football and he's become a family man and all
(17:45):
this stuff. Then you know what, people love giving second
chances and because everybody messes up.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Yeah, my murder just like it was an accident, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Well, I don't know about all that, but people love
if you're nice, and he's.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Just said mess up and it was a murder.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
So he's nice, and I believe if you're nice and
you work hard, you hang around and love, people will
give you a second chance.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Want to be the tweet of the week. Tweet us
on with Mario and hang on just Mario Lopez. We'll
be right back all.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Right, our time together is over. Full steam head into
the weekend. We are back on Monday with a new
pop culture, pop Quiz.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
And all the latest Hollywood buzz. Until then, this is
Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night you
Speaker 1 (18:25):
On with Mario Lopez
