You have to have a special pin, you have to
have a.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Special pin, and you have to actually have a particular
technique on how to write okay in calligraphy. I never
learned the technique, but I did like the pin. Okay,
I feel like Ben Franklin. You like the pit it
did because it was a fancymancy pin. They get pretty
pricey too. But yes, there is a certain technique to
use the calligraphy pin. People don't even know how to
use a ballpoint pin these days. Because everybody, you're on

here in the radio yes studio, which I think we
did say, yeah, yes, yes, not ever, Oh gosh, Unfortunately,
I've been through a lot, but that was the first
one while we were doing.

case comes from an Erica Jacobs. That's a nice name,
(06:53):
she says, my son's girlfriend, who I like, but seems
to dress really provocative around all our family functions. For example,
we went on a boat trip and we're at the
beach and she was rocking a thong in front of
my husband and our other family members, and I just
find it inappropriate. Do I say something? Do I just
(07:16):
keep it to myself? Am I making a big deal
out of it?
Speaker 2 (07:19):
What do I do?
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Huh?
Speaker 5 (07:22):
I would talk to my son and tell him where
I totally see what he gets. I get what he
sees and very.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Beautiful, and the whole family sees it.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Yes, but when they there are family occasions, if she
could just wear a normal bathing.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Soup bottom, she needs to wrap it up.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
I just feel like that would be appropriate. Not because
I'm insecure or anything.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Oh no, I just I am.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
I don't want I don't want my husband at.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
It, and I don't want to be I don't want
to be like like if if I have in a
glance of direction, she's there, and then you accuse me.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
That's uncomfortable.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
For me.
Speaker 1 (08:03):

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Welcome to the show. How are you, Chelsea?
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Hi Mario.
Speaker 6 (09:20):
I want you to know that I spent the weekend
with you in a hotel room. Your voice was on
the entire weekend every time I came back.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
To my room. Oh, thank you so much. I hope
it was a relaxing, soothing comfort. Congrats, and we're about
to kick off this huge stand up tour, Little big
b I think I got to keep it clean here.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
What is the significance of the title.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
Well, it just references my childhood and that I was
always like this. It wasn't a personality that I took
on or that I had a choice about being.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
It was the way I was born.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
I started a lemonade stand when I was eight years
old and quickly realized that to earn an of a
profit margin, I was going to have to make it
a hard lemonade stand where I sold jin whiskey and
tequila to the other children and their adult parents. And
I started to make a lot of money. And then
I started a babysitting company when I was ten, but
I always looked older, so I lied and said I
(10:15):
was fifteen, and then I ended up babysitting for a
fourteen year old boy the entire summer. So it's just
to kind of like it's like an origin story, and
then I get into all really fun like adult stuff
and embarrassing situations there as usual.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
I like that you've always been a hustler though. That's cool.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
You had that entrepreneurial spirit. All right, Chelsea Hankti. We
got to take a quick break.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Then we're going to talk more with Chelsea Handler.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Mario Lopez here got Chelsea Handler on zoom with me
and Chelsea. Your jersey go right, You're from Jersey.
Speaker 6 (10:47):
I'm a Jersey girl. But when I was born into
my family, Mario, like, I was like, I just was disappointed.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Who was there?
Speaker 6 (10:54):
I was like, what's the game plan?
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Who was in charge?
Speaker 6 (10:57):
My parents clearly were it, and I took the helm
pretty quickly and try and convince.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
I was always trying to convince my brothers and sisters.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
Like I've got I've got this. Just follow my lead
and we can like split tides with these people. And
my brothers and sisters didn't take me seriously because I
was the youngest of six, but now they do. Now
they take me seriously because I told them all along.
I'm like, follow me, I'm where the action is.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Yeah, wow, youngest of six, I didn't know that. That's cool.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
All right, Chelsea, hang on, please going to play a
few more songs. They can have more with Chelsea Handles.
Mario Lopez here with Chelsea Handler and Chelsea, I want
to talk about your Vegas residency.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
This is cool. It's at the.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Cosmo first Female Comic Residency. Congratulations.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
Yes, yes, I start that. I'm doing my tour now,
which is awesome and has been fun. And I'm doing
the Santa blarh Blah Bowl this weekend this Saturday at
the seventeenth, so I'm psyched about that. And then i
start my Vegas residency on the first of September. So
I'll be doing one show a month at the Cosmo
Theater at the Chelsea I mean at the Cosmo Hotel
(11:57):
inside the Chelsea Theater. So I am technical performing.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
I love it all right more with Chelsea Handler coming
up after a little more music, Don't Move, Jo Mario Lopez,
hanging out with a very funny Chelsea Handler, new stand
up tour, New Vegas residency. And on top of all that,
you also do a podcast, Dear Chelsea, What.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
What do you talk about on there?
Speaker 6 (12:18):
For those not familiar, Dear Chelsea has been actually a
real treat for me. I mean when they said, you know,
let's do a podcast, I'm like, we've got to come
up with a different angle. I mean, everyone and their
mother has had a podcast at that time, you know,
and they're still growing. But I wanted to do an
advice podcast because I love giving out advice, unsolicited or solicited.
But I thought this would be a nice opportunity to
(12:39):
like talk to regular people calling in with real problems.
And it has been so much fun. Any guess that
comes on my podcast, It's like that was so meaningful
because real people call in with real problems, like with
their whether they're having problems with their family, you know,
or coming out to their family, or girls in bad relationships.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
What was the last one you heard that that good
court to you?
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (13:02):
What?
Speaker 6 (13:02):
Well, there was a guy that called that in who
was smoking pot every single day with his roommates. And
he was like, I just don't feel present, I don't
feel president, and I agreed with him. I said, listen,
I'm going to take a thirty break day of smoking
pot in like you know, in the spirit of helping you, Like,
we'll do this together as a team. And everyone knows
I love cannabis. So that was difficult, but I did
(13:24):
it with him. And after the thirty days.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
He decided he didn't want to smoke pot again.
Speaker 6 (13:29):
He moved out of his house and then when it
came out to his parents, so yeah, that was really
I love him. His name, his Instagram, his prison.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Is not a joke.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
So a lot of people follow him now and we
watch his transformation and it's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Did not see that coming.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I'll be honest with you no more, did I? All right, Chelsea,
hang on for me quick break. Then we're going to
come back and wrap it up with Chelsea Hamm.
Speaker 4 (13:53):

Chelsea Handler. And I remember the last time we talked,
you were living in ski country where yes, I like.
Speaker 6 (14:07):
To go to Whistler for the winters, you know, where
I can ski down the mountain with my top off.
That's my favorite thing to do on my birthday.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Is that's your move book celebrating the freedom of womanhood?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Is that still home or what do you call home?
That's my winter home.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
I go there in the winter from usually like December
to March. And yeah, I love that. I love It's
like I have this little village life and I do
all my errands by myself. I feel like I'm living
in this like little community.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
It is a community, so it's really nice.
Speaker 6 (14:37):
It's a big It's vastly different than living in La
and I think I find that to be beneficial to
split my time so I'm not always in La La Land.
You know, I don't want my head in the clouds.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Well, Chelsea, always nice talking to you and I look
forward to seeing you soon.

Oh I Get Now. They say Cardi lifted it for
her single enough.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Yeah, yeah, okay, okay okay.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Ooh that that is really really really similar. It doesn't
seem like there wasn't even like a change of the beat.
That's in like the same beat, like just she's just
remixing it. I'm gonna be interested to see how it
all plays up.

was like to just blend in with the crowd. So
he went to a makeup artist who made him a
prosthetic disguise. Then he went to the Grove, which is
right here in La.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
To see what it was like.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
That's like a big shopping center, outdoor restaurants and stuff. Well,
Kevin says it sucked. People were pushing past him.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
They were not being nice.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
He even had to wait in line to buy coffee.
