(00:23):
But up next, it's Fantasy Sweet Night on the Bachelorette.
You're on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
For the fantasy suites.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
On the Bachelorette, You're on with Mario Lopez. It's down
to three guys, Devin, Jonathan and Marcus. Producers are hoping
for some more drama after what fans called some of
the most boring hometown dates in franchise history. I thought
you wanted to be boring and safe, and they find love.
Come on, peeps. Jen has taking him to Hawaii for
the big night. But there's one problem. Marcus won't say
(00:54):
he loves her yet. Well, you can't rush love, Jen says,
She's gonna use the fantasy suites to bring up the
taboo top money, religion, and politics. Okay, you do you
Jen More?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Mario Lopez coming up?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
You're a Mario Lopez. Let's take a look at what's
on TV today.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Amazon premiere is No Gain, No Love of a Woman
stages a fake wedding with a convenience store clerk to
avoid missing out on a promotion.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Wow, that is a commitment.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
A cord TV has season five of The Summer Doll Murders.
They Love triangle occurs between a detective, his wife, and
his best friends.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
They try to solve murders together.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
That's a little too incestuous for me to concentrate on
the crime at hand. What's going on with a quarant TV?
What a Mario Lopez? Here was some quick buzz for you, Taylor,
So his boyfriend has gone Hollywood. Travis Kelce has landed
his first movie role, a comedy called Loose Cannons. It's
a buddy cop film in the vein of rush Hour
in Lethal Weapon. He's also snagged a TV role in
(01:55):
The Ryan Murphy Grotesquerie, which drops on September twenty fifth.
Oh well, there's a lot of benefits of being Taylor's
with his boyfriend. I didn't even know he had acting ambitions.
All those actors that have been training for years, Thespians
that have went to school move aside. And then this
football player who is a future Hall of Famer. Doesn't
(02:15):
this just give him more love?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
All right? You' a Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Starbucks gift cards are a pretty common gift or a
way to say thank you to someone. I love getting them,
but coffee chain has taken all that money to the bank.
I posted about this this year. This is wild. There
are one point seven seven billion dollars worth of gift
cards that have not yet been redeemed. That's just this year,
and that's nine percent up from last year. The gift
(02:40):
cards don't expire, but a lot of people just never
cash them in. They're absolutely right about that. I have
some that I've had at least a few years, and
it's just because I'm not at Starbucks that often where
I'm using all the time. I have it in my
wallet now just to make sure when I do go
to Starbucks sometimes, by the way, I forgot I have
it in there. But that gift cards in general, so
(03:02):
you're just carrying them around well because you forget, right,
because you forget yeah, of course, of course. But gift
cards in general, any kind of gift cards, whether they're
Starbucks or Best Buy, whatever the case may be, that's
a good business for them because they're not losing product.
People are buying it. It's easy to gift. You don't
have to really wrap it. I'm a big gift card giver.
I like that, and I also like to receive them.
(03:23):
But yeah, you forget about them, and then it's free money.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Maria Lopez here.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
The lineup for the iHeartRadio Music Festival keeps getting bigger.

cannot take toilet paper for granted because, believe it or not.
There are many cultures around the world that do not
use toilet paper.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
And let's not forget the TP shortages of twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Y'a all, Mario Lopez, Let's get to your comments.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
What'd you find today?
Speaker 4 (04:11):
This is from at Chica from the Shai. I was
today years old when I found out Lamar from Revenge
of the Nerds fought Daniel LaRusso in the Karate Kid.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yes, Chica from the Shai. I always knew that you
must be a lot younger, but yeah, Daniel LaRusso had
to get through Lamar to fight Johnny and Uh Lamar
put up a little bit of a fight by the way,
lot of lot of by the way, big range. There
he went from Lamar from Revenge of the Nerds to
Cobra Kai. Yeah, shout out to Lamar.
Speaker 1 (04:41):

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I love Melissa McCarthy and Melissa.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
I real quick.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
I have to tell you everyone, everyone talked about that
movie Tammy, but Tammy was actually very funny.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I haven't seen it, but I'm sure it was.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
She's good.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
It was very funny. Melissa's got to be forty five
fifty four.
Speaker 1 (05:45):

in any minute now. It is Chris Kirkpatrick from and Sync.
He's got a podcast where he talks about all the
celebrity encounters. Plus he's on tour now with other pop
artists like OTWN, Ryan Cabrera. We're gonna find out all
about it coming up next Toby and Mario Lopez joining
me now on Zoom from Endo Sync. In the podcast
(07:15):
Name Drop, singer Chris Kirkpatrick Welcome to show Man.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
How you been good, buddy. What's going on?
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I'm well, I'm well, thanks for asking. You got a
lot going on right now. Let's start with the podcast.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
First, Name Drop.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
What's the show about? So you remember Brian mcphaden from
the TRL days.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
Yeah, So him and I were kind of kicking around
one day in the backyard, just talking about stuff, and
he's like, dude, we need to do something together.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
And as we were doing it, you know.
Speaker 6 (07:42):
We realized that all we were doing was dropping names
like anybody else would have been listening in. And I know,
you know, like if you're talking to some of your
buddies sometimes you're just sitting there and you're like, man,
I can't believe I'm calling Michael Jackson Michael or you
know whatever it is. It's just things you get used to.
So we were like, dude, that's it, Like that's what
we sho do. We should talk about, you know, dropping names,
(08:02):
and that's what we do.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
We have celebrities on.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
They come in and tell us stories and stories don't
normally get to hear because they're not, you know, selling anything,
They're just telling us crazy celebrity encounters that they've had.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Oh that's fun. And how how'd you team up with Brian?
Speaker 6 (08:18):
So? Brian and I have been buddies for a while.
He we actually did a show together in Omaha. We
hosted a big tour. I'm on this Pop two k
or Pop two thousand tour, and he came in and
kind of co hosted it with me.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
So it was a lot of fun. And the tour
itself is a lot of fun. You know, we've got
a lot of great bands. We've got Phoebe mac We've.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Got Ryan Cabrera, We've got LFO, We've got Otown, we
had smash Mouth. You know, We've had all these different bands,
and it's kind of like going back to the old
TRL days. So I guess you know, my recent live
now is living back in those TRL days.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Oh it's fun, man. We can find tickets and tour
days for the Pop two thousands tour. On with Mario
dot Com. Let's take a quick break. They're gonna have
more with Chris Kirkpatrick.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
More Fun on the Way On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Mario Lopez here.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I got Chris Kirkpatrick from in Sync on zoom with
me and we're talking about your Pop two thousands tour.
I'm assuming the set list you've got some in sync
songs and you mixing it up with covers and what
have you.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
Yeah, you know it.
Speaker 6 (09:17):
You know, we throw in a bunch of in sync stuff.
Otown does their set, LFO does their set.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
You know. I host the show and then I come
out and oh nice, we do a couple couple of
the old songs. You know how.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
It is good for you. Good for you.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
We'll head over on with Mario dot com for those
tickets and tour dates. Let's play some more music. What out,
Mario Lopez here. I've been hanging out with Chris Kirkpatrick
from in Sync and hey, man, I gotta tell you.
I watched the Netflix doc Dirty Pop about Lou Pearlman.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
I thought it was great.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
I thought it was really good, very eye opening, informative.
You were really good in it, and I learned a lot.
The whole thing was sort of fascinating to me because
it seemed like he was his own worst enemy.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
Man.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
You know, It's one of those things that I just
I don't understand it. You know, I'm looking back on it,
you know, watching the documentary, knowing what I went through,
knowing you know what happened after it, And I thought
to myself, you know, sure he made his first money
by a scandal, like an insurance scam against this blimp
company that he had. But even if the blimp company
(10:23):
was fake, the airline was fake, all that stuff was fake,
he still had an opportunity to make a lot of money. Honestly, right,
That's that's what was tripping me out.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
I'm like, it was just wasn't enough for what That's
what I was Kyle was kind of blown away by that.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (10:38):
And I thought about it too, and I'm like, this
guy had to live every day of his life in
this giant lie like keep it spinning. I mean, maybe
a week or a month, you know, you'd start to
get sick to your stomach. But years and decades of
this giant lie, ye every day, making sure all your
ducks are in a row, that you're not going to
(10:58):
step on a line you've already told or who you're
talking to. It's it's insane. I actually wrote a song
about it years ago. About how I feel like he
stepped over a dollar to pick.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Up a dime.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Yeah, that's a good analogy. Ith Yeah, it was fascinating.
It was really good. Well, if you haven't seen it,
it's called Dirty Pop on Netflix. Hang tight, gotta get
back to music. You're on, Mario Lopez. My guess is
Chris Kirkpatrick from in Sync and Bye Bye Bye to
having a moment again with Deadpool and Wolverine right there,
great great music, like like great movies just stand the
(11:33):
test of time. I got to imagine that it was
an easy yes when they asked to use that song, right, Oh.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
Dude, that that was one of the quickest yes is
like definitely of my of my life, you know, being
a big I was a big Spider Man fan, and
then when Deadpool came out later in my life, you know,
I was a big Deadpool fan, and for them to
reach out and want to use it in that, you know,
it was a quick yes. But I had no idea,
like when Ryan actually reached out to us individually and
(12:01):
invited us to the premiere and said, you know, this
is a big deal.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
When when I was.
Speaker 6 (12:05):
On the on the red carpet doing interviews for the
movie is when I found out that, people were like, oh, yeah,
it's great. It's the whole opening credits. I was like, wait,
it's what Like, I had no idea what it was
used for, and.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Then I saw it. It was just unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
That's dope.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Well, I got one more thing I want to ask you,
but we got to take another break. I'm gonna be
back with Chris Kirkpatrick in just a moment.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You're the full interview now on with Mario dug More.
Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Mario Lopez here wrapping things up with Chris Kirkpatrick from
in Sync. And I know you got a son, right,
how does he?
Speaker 5 (12:38):
Yeah? Yeah, now she's sick, so he did not see
the Deadpool movie.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
Yeah, your kids are a little too young to see
the Deadpool movie yet, right, Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Think so with my daughter maybe not thirteen, ten and five,
So but yeah, it's it's a little uh, it's a
little racy for them right there.
Speaker 6 (12:54):
But yeah, to say the least, it's one of those
things that, yeah, you might want to wait, hold off
just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Just a little bit. Well, listen, I appreciate you taking
the time, and hey, check out name drop on iHeartRadio
or wherever you get your pods and tickets and tour
dates to the Pop two thousand and two are available
right now at On with Mario dot com. Chris, thanks
for hanging out.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Hey, you the best, Mario, Thanks for having me.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Right on, brother, I'll see you so, Mario Lopez, here
was some quick buzz for you. Magan the Stallion add
an award show host to her resume. She is going
to be m seing this year's MTV VM as Meghan
also is up for five awards, so it could be
a big night for her. Performers include Benson Boone, Halsey,
Sabrina Carpenter, and Chapel Rowan. The show will drop on
(13:40):
September eleven. You're on Mario Lopez and Nel looking to
add to his harem on.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
So Ever since his divorce last year, Neo has been
in a polyamorous mood. He's already got two girlfriends hey now,
and he says he's looking to add more all right.
Hef guy yeah is going full harem right here. He
says there's no limit to his lov and as long
as he can afford it, Neo believes that the law
should be changed so people can marry as many people
as they want. Well, that's almost more of a cultural thing.
(14:13):
I don't know if it's a law of thing, because
that's the case in the Middle East where they have
many wives.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I think he probably means here where it's illegal to
do that.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Is it illegal?
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yeah, I didn't know if it was just culturally frouned.
I mean, I think it's culturally frowned upon and illegal. Yes, okay,
I think legally you can't be married to two people
at once.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Neil, my man, that sounds like a headache. I gotta
be honest with you. And even if you can afford it,
just it sounds draining. I saw Neo not too long ago.
I really like him. My wife's a big fan as well,
A great songwriter and artists. Did not know he gets
freaky like this, all right, Neo.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Or Mario Lopez?
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Coming up, Mario Lopez, here was some quick buzz for you,
you too, releasing a documentary about their iconic concerts at
the Sphere in Life, Vegas. I was lucky enough to
go to opening night. It's very cool. It's called v
U two in Immersive concert film. They're guitarist The Edge
directed it. It was shoveled a new camera that was
specifically invented for the Sphere. It's going to start screaming
(15:14):
at the Sphere itself on September fifth. Okay, Mario Lopez
here and I may have to break down my drum set.
Imagine Dragons currently has an opening. Their drummer, Daniel Plattsman,
is leaving the band to focus on a film composing career.
Oh little Danny Elfman action right there. He's been with
the band since twenty eleven. This will either be the
(15:35):
best decision he ever made or the worst decision he
ever made. Well, he had a nice thirteen year run.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
I'm sure it's not leaving.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
I'm assuming they're not leaving on a bad note, because
it's not like he's going to another band. He's going
to pursue a different type of endeavor. And yeah, all right,
we'll see what happens.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Yeah, Mario Lopez, Time for one last thing.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
There's a new player entering the streaming wars. Chick fil
a fast food chain is working with Hollywood production companies
to create family friendly unscripted shows. The programs are going
to launch on their own streaming service. Chick fil A
has previously made a series of short animated films for
its website. I've seen a lot of fast food chains
(16:17):
get into the apparel business lately, and cologne. It's why
alone Hellman's Mayonnaise has a cologne out, Believe it or not.
I was talking about it on my show Access yesterday.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Why would anyone ever wear that?
Speaker 2 (16:33):
It's so weird? And Goodyear the tire people are into apparel.
It's just the most random businesses. But Chick fil A
because they're synonymous with sort of having a faith based
background and strong Christian values and stuff, So I'm sure
with that content that kind of makes sense.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
It's hame for me to pass some mic, but I'm
back tomorrow with more music and fun and all the
late is Hollywood Buz until then, Mario Lopez saying good night.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Mario Lopez
