funny because she had another sitcom years ago called Reba,
and Melissa Peterman was in that.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Melsa Peterman's in this one. She knows what she likes exactly.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Peacock debuts Hysteria set during the Satyara set. I thought
I said it wrong set during the Satanic Panic of

And HBO has It's Florida Man, a late night series
that shares unbelievable dales from Florida, including recreation, starring actors

because I think he is actually thirty four.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Keyogan is thirty two.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Why wouldn't he like that?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
I made him younger?
Speaker 5 (02:31):
He wants to be I don't think he would have
liked the thing you did with his name, the wordplay,
very angry at wordplay. Zac Efron is a different face now.

He was in Neighbors.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yes, strong jaw, strong jaw, strongest saw on the planet,
zach Effron.
Speaker 3 (02:47):

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Dominic has a thing with face shapes. I should show
him his facecy.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
You say your face was angular once? Yeah, it's a
triangles and sharp sharp, that's what it was. Not like
Dad's round. No square, squareare square. I'm like SpongeBob over
here and I say.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Do you like your face? And he said yes, I
love how my jawline easy. So crazy anyway, how old
is he Zach with I said forty one? Oh sorry,
Zach is forty two.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Thirty seven. Oh well, he looks the job more mature.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
It's the strong jaw makes him look older. And someone
we had in studio once he told us, uh.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Jay, there's no like this thing. When I hit I
heard which is normal? John Claude Van Damn, Jean Claude
vand dam my, guys, I love my guy. He's his
biggest fan. I love that dude. He has no lack
of confidence. What's he talks in third person? Those are
my favorite people.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Jean Claude van dam I'm going to say is sixty
three or while we're.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
On the topic, his name would be jaw Claude Vand wow,
you guys, I'll be here for the rest of the night.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
What are you firing me? Are you worst decision you

Sixty four more.
Speaker 1 (04:18):

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Mario Lopez here, and time is running out to relive
all the excitement from this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival concert

All kinds of great performances. Just head over to Hulu
check it out.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Mario Courtney Lopez, you're about to get to. Today's guest
is actress Jackie Cruz, who.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
You may remember from Orange is the New Black.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
She's got a new Lifetime movie called Husband Father Killer.
Oh it's pretty it's pretty dark, based on true events,
and we'll find out all about it next.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Treborel Marlopez, Jorymane on Zoom from the new Lifetime movie
Husband Father Killer, The Alyssa Platles Story, Actress Jackie Kruse
walkme the show.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
Jackie, thank you for having me, well.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Thank you for taking the time, and congratulations on the
movie you already had me with the title Husband Father Killer?
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Is this true? Is this a true story?
Speaker 6 (05:20):
Yes, it's a true awesome.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
I mean that says that it's a true story, not
that there's killing him all.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
You know what I mean? And what's the what's the premise? Essentially, so.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
She was fifteen years old and she got caught up,
you know, with an older he was like in his
twenties and they had a baby and he was a
bit abusive and he did some horrible things to the baby,
and to protect the baby, Alyssa decided to give up
her child when she was fifteen for adoption, and seventeen
(05:53):
years later she wanted to meet her parents and Melissa
stayed with Steven even though he's abusive.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
And had to other kids with her, and uh, she
came back.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
And the story, I don't want to tell you the
whole story, but the father and the daughter that was
adopted kind of connects in a very you know.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
Horrible way.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Oh wow, Alyssa.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Ends up, you know, being the whistleblower and kind of
telling the police because it's illegal. You know, it's terrible, horrifying,
And then they had a baby.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
It's a lot like all.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
True, and there's an ass murder.
Speaker 7 (06:32):
Like I don't want to tell you the whole thing,
but it's it was really hard to do. But Elizabeth,
the director of Rome, she was incredible and she was
there with me and we shared, like our heart to
tell the story because you know, I was an abusive
relationship for four or five years and I understand how
(06:53):
it's so hard to leave.
Speaker 6 (06:55):
And at first I judged, you know, my character, because
I judge myself, you know.
Speaker 7 (06:59):
But you know, sometimes people are so mentally sick and manipulative.
And you know, Alissa's is a victim and Katie was
the victim, which was his daughter.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Oh well, you can watch Husband Father Killer tomorrow in Lifetime.
We're going to take a quick break and I more
with Jackie Cruz.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Mario Lopez here talking about the new Lifetime movie Husband
Father Killer with actress Jackie Cruz, and it's based on
a true story. Did did you ever get the opportunity
to meet the real Melissa?
Speaker 7 (07:29):
I did not, but Elizabeth talks to her and she
told me, you know, she she told me what she's
you know, talk to her about and she's I hope
that she's happy with how the film came out. You know,
we wanted to to show her truth and to show
the world that, you know, if this is going on
(07:50):
in your family, you can ask for help.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
And there's this The Rain, which is about you know, abuse,
and you can look it up at the end of
the film and.
Speaker 7 (08:00):
There's a hotline and everything so I just hope that
you know, people get out of this, that there is
help and that you're not alone.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Well, good for you, congratulations, look forward to checking that
out also Saturday.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
This Saturday.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Absolutely, we're going to make sure everybody and we'll put
it up here at all memorial dot com.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
But let's move on to a lighter note now and
play some music.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Whatamaro Lopez here got actress Jackie Cruz on zoom with
me from the new Lifetime movie Husband Father Killer and
also in the works a horror movie called Woozy Can You.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Tell Me Crazy?
Speaker 7 (08:35):
I got it at the same time, like, while I'm
filming this movie and this is a horror blake, and
like my character is a dancer, right, And I'm like, sure,
I'm fantastic.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Right.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
My agent is like, you better tell them you're fantastic.
I'm like, I haven't done modern ballets since college, but
all right, yeah great. So at the end of the film,
like at the end of working on Husband Father Killer.
Speaker 7 (09:00):
I would go to dance class for two hours and
I would release, you know, you're a dancer.
Speaker 6 (09:05):
I would release all my stress from the day through
my movement. And that was also therapeutic. For me.
Speaker 7 (09:11):
So it was kind of beautiful how they connected, and
I thought a film after film, and then right after that,
I went straight to New Jersey.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
To film Woozy Woozy, great title right there. Well we
got more to talk about. We're going to play some
more music here.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Al Mario Lopez been hanging out all hour with the
actress Jackie Cruz, and I can't believe it's more than
a decade since Orange is the New Black premiered.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
What do you remember about your initial audition.
Speaker 7 (09:38):
I remember nobody was there, you know, nobody was there
for my role, right I was maybe the first one
there or the last one.
Speaker 6 (09:45):
I have no idea. And then I remember the casting.
Speaker 7 (09:47):
Director, Jenny Newson being so young, so I'm thinking she's
like an assistant. I haven't auditioned since two thousand and six,
so this is twenty twelve.
Speaker 6 (09:56):
So I gave up on acting and focused on music.
And then like I was just went in there.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
You know.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
I asked my brother to help me with my New
York accent. You know it's very New York. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I'm born in Queens, but I lost it.
Speaker 7 (10:08):
He's like, you're too malabusis so then he helped me
out with my New York and then I just remember
saying two lines and then she just made me do
it over and over and she loved it, you know.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
And I went out there and I called my brother.
I was like, Yo, I think I got this, son, I.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Think I got good.
Speaker 6 (10:25):
And then two weeks later they gave me the role.
Speaker 7 (10:27):
And like I told you, it was two lines, and
I thought I was going to be a day player,
but it was survivor up in there, and I made it.
Speaker 6 (10:33):
The whole like eight years.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
That's awesome. Good for you.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Well, I want to ask about your kids, Bob. We
got to take a little break. I'm gonna come back
with Jackie Cruz.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
In just a moment.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
You're the full interview now on with Mario Doug More
Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Mario Lopez here wrapping things up with actress Jackie Cruz.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
And you're a mom to twins man.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
And and twins a lot. That's a lot to handle
right there. My kids are taking an age, but twins
his next level. You get one a sleep, does the
other one's going to be asleep?
Speaker 6 (11:01):
No, but I try to get them on the stage.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Yeah, you got to hear right exactly right there. But
it's so much fun, right.
Speaker 7 (11:06):
Yeah, they're amazing. I mean, your father, I didn't know what.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Life was about until I had them.
Speaker 7 (11:12):
And I'm like, oh, this is why I'm doing, like
working so hard and hustling like it's actually for them.
And you know, I also feel like, oh, but your mom,
now you got to just be a mom. And that's
not true because they're watching you. You are there like
front row. If I'm not living my dream, why would
they live theirs? You know, so I have to live
(11:33):
my dream and they're upstairs.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Right now taking a nap, you know, like good time.
Speaker 7 (11:39):
I timed everything perfect, so you know, it's it's the best,
you know. And like I'm like living in Mexico and Ohaka,
but also La and New York whenever I work, but
my hometown is Wahaka.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
You got it all figured out and that's so cool.
You get all this balance and stuff. Well, congratulations on everything.
Speaker 6 (11:57):
Well, please say hello to your wife. I will a
movie together.

Time for mus see movies and Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's
take a look at everything new in theaters in streaming
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Good richardson theaters. When Michael Keaton's second wife suddenly leaves him,
He's tasks taking care of nine year old twins with
the help of his adult daughter, who tries to teach
him to be the father she never had.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Oh that's heart worrying. Michael Keaton's been busy lately.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Smile Too in theaters, a pop star begins to experience
terrifying and inexplicable horrors, causing her to spiral out of control.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I heard the first Smile was pretty spooky, so just
in time for Halloween.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Gracie and Pedro Pets to the Rescue. It's in theaters.
A pampered show dog and a street smart alley cat
team up for a thrilling journey through the streets of
Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
I love those kind of movies. Those are fun. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Woman of the Hour, It's on Netflix. Anna Kendrick appears
on The Dating Game, but bachelor number one turns out
to be a serial killer.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
This is a true story. This is a true story.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Just happened to interview Anna Kendrick on my show Access Daily.
She directed it too. This is her first directorial debut.
And back then when they had these dating shows, they
didn't have any sort of vetting system. Anybody can just
go on yeah right, wow, and this guy who like
the early Internet, ye basically, and this guy just he
(14:05):
happened to be a serial killer.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
And she didn't tell me to lead with that when
in like the Game, it.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Just turned out and there'd been a couple murderers ironically
in some of these sort of dating shows.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
And they said he was very charming and like a.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Handsome guy and all this stuff, and I was like, wow,
we got to check it out.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
This is our kind of show. Totally.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
Normally they'll say, oh, he was a serial killer, my neighbor,
he was so nice, like you wouldn't know.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Yeah, they always hide it.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
You're all Mario Lopez with details about the nine to
one to one call before Liam Payne's death on.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
So the music world was still in shock over Liam's passing.
Reports are coming in about the nine to one one
call shortly before Liam fell to death in Buenos Aidis, Argentina.
The hotel manager said he was having a complete meltown
in his third floor room, and the manager said that
Liam appeared to be overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol. Staff
(15:04):
hadn't been able to get into his room for two
to three days. Oh, such a devastating, tragic incident that
we're dealing with and hard to process. So young, only
thirty one years old. I've had the opportunity to interview
him a few times. Such a such a nice kid
and such a nice guy, and you never know what
people are dealing with. God bless him and his family
(15:27):
and what they're going through right now.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Well, Courtney Lopez here, what is the Obscure holiday for
October eighteenth.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Honey, it's no beard day. Oh, I'm celebrating me too.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
I shaved mine this morning.
Speaker 7 (15:40):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
You know I'm okay with a shadow, like I can
rock a shadow. I've never actually rocked a full beard.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
That's because your dad told me I can't grow facial
hair going too much.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
So stupid, so stupid, and not true.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
I can.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
I They want to keep me clean cut for some reason,
but I like to have a little scruff.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
But then you say it scratches you.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
I love you with a little five o'clock shadow, but
then it is so painful.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
You're literally red in your face.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
When you kiss me, it's literally like you're taking nails
to my face.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Thanks, Orrio Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Your SNL keeps bringing out the big guns for their
fiftieth season tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Someone we were just talking about who's very busy. Host
is Michael Keaton.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
Oh he's got his He got to start in comedy,
No doubt he can bring the laughs. The musical guest
is Billie Eilish, so it should be a good one.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
You're all Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Top for another fake to be when the topics are
made up on the spot, but the passion is real.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Who's prone? Who's continent? Uh, Courtney, what do you want
to be? You can pick.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
I don't want to be anything that I am trying
to be trying.
Speaker 5 (16:49):
That's you're pro now, so you'll be pro Lopez, you
will be con fifteen seconds to make your case.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Ten second Robotto afterwards.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Your topic today is forgetting the topic which I just did,
Wow and go No. The topic is facial hair.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
Having facial hair, to me is just an amazing thing.
If you're willing and able to have it, you can
camouflage a lot of things that don't want to be seen.
And that's why in my next life I will be
coming back as a man.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Thank you, Ms. Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
The thing about facial hair is that it's incredibly bad
in the hygiene department.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
You can grow stuff in there. It gets mad itchy.
It's like sandpaper to your wife's face. It's not a
good look, especially if it comes out red.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
That is rude. Sandpaper to a wife's face can be
a nice, exfoliating, free treatment that you don't have to
pay for at the dermatologists or the facialist.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
You know you do you. I think it's polarizing.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
More Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Up, Mario Lopez, you e forgot to mention this.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
We were talking about SNL in last week's episode with
Ariana Grande was their biggest since twenty twenty one, five
point six million viewers live and that doesn't count who
watched on Peacock. Ariana spoof of Espresso has been going
viral on social media. It's got more than five hundred
million viewers across all their platforms.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
She's pretty funny. I gotta admit, and keep in mind
she had about ten years of sitcom experience. That's true,
so it's not like she's a novice going in there's
she's pretty well rounded.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Mario Lopez here with a quick reminder about tomorrow's Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
This year's class includes Mary J.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Blige, Share Cool in the Gang, a Tribe, call Quest,
what a great class, a whole bunch of others. To
watch it Saturday night on Disney Plus or listen to
classic rock on the iHeartRadio app. Mario Lopez here with
a quick reminder about tomorrow's Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame ceremony.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
This year's class includes Mary J.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Blige, Share Cool in the Gang, a tribe, call Quest
what a great class, A whole bunch of others. To

Speaker 3 (19:16):

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Before we take off for the weekend, We're gonna give
you the final word with our comment of the week.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
What do we got?
Speaker 4 (19:22):
This is from at Benjamin crew One and they said,
Dear Apple TV, I do not want to watch It's
The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown in four K. I want
to watch it slightly okay quality with seasonal ads for
local furniture stores and car dealerships where they just cast
their family as actors.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Benjamin crew One, I like you man.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
You are an old school traditionalists, And yes, that takes
me back. You know what, I don't know why. It
makes me kind of like melancholy.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
A little sad.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown or any Charlie Brown cartoon
for that matter. The music, the music is kind of
I don't know why it makes me a little bit sad.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
Well, I think it's nostalgic.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
You take you, dear childhood, It's probably not sad.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's probably it's probably like a weird, bittersweet kind of Yeah,
that's maybe what you know.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
It's crazy. My sister who was in town for your
star I don't know how she had on my old jewelry,
but she brought me a jewelry that I had from
like middle school and high school and holding it in
my hand like made you feel like a child again.
It was just the weirdest thing.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
It took you back.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
So I feel like that's what you feel good And
it wasn't from Chad.
