Danielle Upashkova.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Hi, nice, Thank you for taking the time Mann to
Nice to see you again. Now, Dwight, were you hesitant
and all to join the show? Were there any reluctance?

Speaker 5 (00:51):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (00:51):
No, I didn't wanting to be on this show for
three years in row right, and this year was the
year that I was finally able to get on the show.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
And I'm having so much fun, having.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Fun man, and you're breaking it down right. They're good
for you. Danielle, what was your what was your first
impression of Dwight? I gotta imagine, man, that's gonna be
a tough frame to hold that high.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I mean I can't reach I couldn't reach his frame.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
We had to create our own, inventing new things as
we go.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
So he's definitely the tallest person I think I've ever
stood next to.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Yeah, thank goodness, he's athletic.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
What's been the biggest challenge for you throughout this competition?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Right?

Speaker 6 (01:32):
Oh, my hips, my hips, trying to do the salsa
in the cha. Yeah, but everything has been fun, you know.
I take the challenge every week of learning the new dance,
trying to get into those positions, the frames.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Uh, it's been crazy. It's been crazy, like things.

Speaker 6 (01:54):
I haven't done as a basketball player, like transfer your
rate weight to one foot, right, luds on one foot.
I'm used to like being on ballots, being on two
feet and moving defensively and stuff like that. So it's
like it's a little different, but it's so much fun.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
We're gonna be looking forward to see what you do tonight.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Let's take a break and werena have more with Dwight
and Daniella.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Mario Lopez here and talking dancing with the stars of
Dwight Howard and Daniella Pashkova, and the show isn't easy, man.
Just when you think you're starting to get something, you
switch to another dance and it's totally something different.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
So it's like a whole new language, right.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Yeah, it's crazy. Like last week we were a week
before last week did the Pasa Doe blade. Yeah, so
I spent the whole week studying Pasa Doe blade, studying
all the technique, studying where it came from, you know,
all those little things so.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
I could be into that character. They been bad.

Speaker 6 (02:52):
The next week it's a whole new dance and I'm
doing salsa and I have to learn how they get
my hipster right way right. And then I was tangled.
So it's just so many different dances and so many
different styles.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
But Danielle is a great coach. She does an amazing well.

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Partner, I said, a coach, like she is my coach,
but she's my coach, my partner.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
She's all to be above.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
But it's just great to have you know her the
way she teaches you know it's it's crazy because she
makes my heart rate jump up.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
It's spikes, press them out.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Well, you are not only his partner, you are his coach,
his counselor his.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Many hats that you wear. So props to you and
all the other pros right there.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Dancing continues tonight on ABC. Hole tight, guys, got to
play some more music. Mario Lopez here. My guest today
are Dwight Howard and Daniella Pashkova from Dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 4 (03:54):

teas about what song you're dancing to?

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Okay, do you want to do?

Speaker 6 (04:03):
So?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
We are doing the movie record Ralph oh fun.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, and I think it's a perfect representation of me
and Dwight.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I think that it.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Is not your traditional tango song, but I think we're
gonna have a good time trying to figure it out.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
All right, looking forward to that. All right, I got
more to ask you, but I gotta play some more music,
yaal Mario Lopez been hanging out all hour with Dwight
Howard and Daniella Peshkova from Dancing with the Stars and

Speaker 4 (04:36):
What about the Lakers, man, what's you thinking about this season?
How we looking?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Oh, you know, that's a long pause, right, Okay.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
So I love the fact that Bronnie and Lebrun are
playing on.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
The same team. I think that's awesome.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
As a father, as a professional basketball player, I think
it's awesome. But I don't know if they did, if
the Lakers are trying to win this year, or if
they're trying.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
To tell tickets.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
Yeah, you know, I don't want to make it seem
like I'm trying to hate on what's going on.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
No, but you're being honest, and you're exactly right, because
a lot of people are like, Yo, my guy wasn't
even the best dude in his college team, so why
are we using that particular slot?

Speaker 4 (05:28):
And I get it. I love it too.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I'm a father, I got kids, But as a fan,
you kind of got a question.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
So it sort of remains to be seen.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
I guess, yeah, you know, I hope they have an
awesome year. J. J.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Reddick is a former teammate of Mind. We played again
in Orlando. He's coach.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
Now, Yeah, you like him, I do, you know? And
I hope he is very successful as a coach. It's
very hard being an NBA coach, but being a coach
for the Lakers, and he's coaching Lebron.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Yeah, and it's so so that's like you don't talk
about son like that. Boy, just like man, I'm the coach.
I can talk to both of y'all like how I
want to exactly.

Speaker 6 (06:07):
You know, it just says like it'll be, but you
know it's I love it, And I hope the Lakers
have an awesome year. And as a Laker ex Laker player,
I want to see them succeed and win.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
They got some competition this year though, So it's gonna
be tough.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
All right, Gotta take a break, but keep it here.
We're gonna wrap it up with Dwight and Danielle in
just a moment.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
You're the full interview now on with Mario dot Com.

Appreciate you, brother.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
I hope to see him first and to thank you.
Take care y'all. MARIW.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at what's on TV today.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Amazon premieres Games, a five part series about the most
iconic game sevens in sports history.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
When it comes to team sports, there's nothing more exciting
than a Game seven. From the ones that are featured,
I think the one that stands out the most to
me is when the Cleveland Indians, who are the Indians
at the time, played the Chicago Cubs. Both hadn't won
a championship in almost one hundred years.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Oh wow, so they both really wanted They.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Both really wanted it in Chicago ended up winning.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
So poort Cleveland and Cleveland just got eliminated right now
into the Yankees.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Can I just say, for the record, I think that
we are going to go seven games for the World Series.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Oh I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
I'm predicting. I'm predicting Dodgers in six. I don't know
how we got to the World Series. I'm gonna be
honest with you because I'm the biggest Dodgers fan as
you know. But all our pitching is we're on fumes
and all the starters are hurt.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
And somehow when o Twani came something switched.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
Man.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
He just went next level teas bonkers, but Yankees got
a bunch of superstars, so it's going to be InCred
games and the most expensive world series in history, y'all.
Mark Courtney Lopez tile a New life at What is
the topic today in Cortney's Corner?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Procrastination?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Honey, you're good.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
You know there's days where I am really good at that,
and then there's days I want to get stuff done,
Like today, I was getting stuff done. It's just how
I wake up. So I learned this on TikTok. Yes,
if there's something you always put off, like putting away
clothes and unloading the you never put away clothes.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
That's true, Hence the closet needs to be.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Horror unloading the dishwasher. Here's the trick. Find a way
to reward yourself. This is what I do. For instance,
set aside a podcast or YouTube video you love and
you can only listen to it while you're doing that task.
It will trick your brain into giving you dopamine from
that chore. I also put things in a cart shopping

(09:51):
wise on an app, and then after every one thing
I put away, I press purchase.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
That's not good.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
That's good for you, poor Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Coming up, you're a Mario Courtney Lopez for today's birthday shoutouts.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
We're gonna try to guess the ages quickly. Who do
we got from Modern Family? Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Oh, we
run into him randomly? Really, do you live in your
neighborhood too?

Speaker 3 (10:18):
He does not know, but we frequent a lot of
the same thing. You will. He has to be forty seven.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Fifty one forty nine. Ooh, okay, uh Shaggy who claims
it wasn't me it was so Angel was a big hit.
Shaggy's older than you think.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I believe Shaggy's fifty six fifty seven fifty six is correct.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Look at that. Courtney's favorite actor from Better Call Saul
Bob Odenkirk.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Bob's great, he's one hundred and seven.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
You need to start being nice to Bob Bob. I'm
gonna say, is sixty one.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Sixty be nice to Bob.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Sixty two sixty? Does Bob ever stand a chance of
you forgiving him? Come on, you gotta learn at or
is it just like rapid thing?

Speaker 3 (11:06):
That's exactly That's the thing that he said to me,
Let it go.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
He was right, you gotta let it go, Let it go,
let it go.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
I was standing up for his show.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
Sorry took it wrong, you took it tried. This is
a grudge that went on, honey. And finally from Jurassic Park,
Independence Day and some weird new show on Netflix.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Jeff Goldbloom, Oh, Pittsburgh, what's up on Hall? Jeff Goldbloom is.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Sixty four sixty eight seventy two. Wow, he looks good.
Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney Lopez. Your what
holiday we celebrating on October twenty second, Honey?

Speaker 3 (11:50):
It is National Knee Day. So yes, it's spelled like
your knee kate n ee. But it also could be
National court Knee Day.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
It can be you're trying too hard. I want to
give a shout out.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Trying too hard, that's my name.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
I want to give a shout out to my knees,
because I do.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
They're still walking there, that might nomination.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
They're holding up considering your feet the violent activities that
I participated right now, No, no, exactly, well, they've held
up to this point. Let me say that they've held
up to this point. Most guys I know my age
have had a surgery or some issue with their knees.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Thank God.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Sometimes I'll get a little sore, but I've had anything
happen with my knees.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
My ankles, on the other hand, that's different. But my
knees have held up. Shout out to my knees.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here hundreds of fans gathered in London's
Hyde Park to pay their respects to Liam Payne. We

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was in quick buzz for you.
Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant with her second child.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Aw congratulations, no gender or do date yet. Back in
February of twenty twenty two, she gave birth to a son, Si,
who she's keeping out of the private eye, so I
assume she'll do the same with this one.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Congrats. Yeah, back to back pretty quick, go a Mario
Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
So have you been listening to Elf cosmetics new album
get Ready with Music? This is the album we told
you about last week. What had dropped our amazing partner,
ELF Cosmetics, assembled this amazing soundtrack for you based on
a bunch of key insight from their community.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Like, for example, seventy five percent of women see music
and makeup as important tools for self expression. I agree.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Not just women, by the way, men too. I have
to have music.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
When you're doing real makeup.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Yeah, not in my makeup specifically, but when I'm getting ready.
You know that. What do I do the first thing
when I go into a hotel?

Speaker 3 (14:00):
You put on your Bluetooth speaker and blast music.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
That's what's up.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Well, that's what makes this album so cool. It's all
about self expression with empowering beats that help fuel every
look and mood while giving you the runway to express
your true self.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
And Elf made sure to turn the mic over to
artists with their own distinct and creative energy, which is
awesome because we love artists who don't limit themselves to
one genre like Olivia Reyis, whose song Dream is featured
on the album, and the beats so good, get stuck
in your head, check.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Wake Up all these days? Wake Up? Well, that's a
pop right there, and the kids would say, right well.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
The album also includes original songs by Betty Who, Medulla
and other emerging artists. So while you're getting ready with
ELF's incredible power grip primer, check out the Fool Get
Ready with Music album on the iHeartRadio app. Now get
ready to express your elf?

Speaker 1 (15:01):
