Speaker 1 (00:00):
On On. It's Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
November is already here. Can you believe this? If you
are an early reveler like the Lopezes, Welcome to the
start of the holiday season. Today's guests will help you
kick off your celebrations.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
It's Clay a Can, whose first album and more than
a decade is full of Christmas tunes. We've also got
your first look at everything new coming to theaters and
streaming this weekend. And we'll face off in a fake debate.
So let's keep the music going. You're on with Mario
and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
W On, Mario, Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at
what's on TV today.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Disney Plus has Music by John Williams, a documentary about
the legendary film composer.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Wow, he's got a lot of great stuff that should
be cool.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Netflix debuts Barbie Mysteries. When a show horse is stolen,
Brooklyn and Malibu must race across Europe to solve the case.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
How do you steal a horse. It's not like you
can put it in your pocket, right, hop on and ride.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Yeah, I guess so's it'd be probably easier to steal
a horse than other stuck because you get more speed
out of the horse.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
But like, now, where do you put it? It's exactly
where do you go? Where you hiding?

Speaker 5 (01:06):
I'm just saying stealing it seems easy, right?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:08):
I guess the Own Network has season five of Bell Collective.
The Southern Bells are running their businesses, but relationship issues
are starting to creep in.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Oh, those Southern Bells. Mari and Courtney Lopez. What obscure
holiday are we celebrating for November? First, honey, it.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Is a beautiful thing. It is Fountain pen Day. They
write so beautifully. Are they underrated?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
You have very nice penmanship, I must.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Say, even better with a fountain pen.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I could imagine mine has not improved since the third grade.
But you, on the other hand, next.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Level, y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Mara Courtney Lopez got some celebs turning a year older.
We're going to try to guess you ages what we got.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Jenny McCarthy MTV Single Doubts. She's now married to Donnie Wahlberg.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Married a minute. That's nice.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Jenny McCarthy is fifty three.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Fifty one fifty two ooh fifty two from The Sixth Sense,
which Donnie Wahlberg was also in with Me and also Hereditary.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
Tony Collette, she played My Mom.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
She's fifty fifty three, fifty two.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
And Anthony Keatis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Give it Away, Give it Away, Give it Away Now.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Or any song with California in.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
It Californication, Danny California. Anthony is fifty one.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Oh, Anthony is sixty one, sixty two.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
What of our Courtney Lopez? He was some quick buzz
for you. Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz will not be
walking down the aisle. Evidently they've called off their engagement
and are splitting up after three years together.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Wow, that's sad, and it's a bit of a surprise.
They just announced that they both signed on for the
Kate Lanchette movie Alpha Gang, so I guess they'll be
doing that while broken up.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
They met in a platonic way and work together, and
I guess that's when they fell in love and the
continued to date, so it shouldn't be too hard unless
it was an ugly break up for an ugly reason,
but we don't know. I'm sure they'll keep a professional
Mario Courtney Lopez here and there's a movie I'm looking
forward to. It's called Unstoppable and it's starring Jennifer Lopez

(03:25):
and I believe she produced it also with her ex
Ben Affleck. It tells the true story of Anthony Robless,
who was born with one leg body still earned a
spot on the Arizona State wrestling team and he was
good too.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
That's incredible. The movie hits theaters on December sixth, before
coming to Amazon Prime on January sixteenth. The trailer just
came out this week, so.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
We're going to definitely see that, Yeah, for sure. All
let's get back to music. Time for Mussey Movies with
Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at what's new
in theaters and streaming here.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
In theaters, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright starring a story
that covered the events of a single spot of land
and its.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Inhabitants reunion of course, with Forrest Gump and Jenny Tom
Hanks and Robin Wright. Robin Wright's character and Forrest Gum
might be one of the worst villains of all.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
She's cold as ice.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
She only came back to Forrest when it was advantageous
to her, and every time Forrest tried to do the
right thing. She would come in and just turn his
world upside down. Then she showed up with a baby
that wasn't.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
His, that was played by me.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I mean, the whole thing is like, Wow. I love
Robin Wright too. She's a great act She's amazing. But man,
that character, that character was cold Zi missed. Let's hope
it's a better character.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
So are you gonna see this movie or not.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
I'm just pointing out that he ended up with the
kid too exactly. He ended up keep He ended up
taking care of the kid in the end.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
That wasn't even his kid.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Forrest j all Right Absolution it's in theaters. Not to
be confused with Journey Absolution. Liam Neeson is an agent
gangster who tries to reconnect with his children, but the
criminal underworld has other plans.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Liam Neeson's great, seventy two years old. We just had
him on the show. He talks like a whisperer, but
he's great.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
You're a number two. It's in theaters. A family man
struggles with a high profile murder trial and his own
moral dilemma could sway the entire jury.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
So this is possibly Clint Eastwood's last movie that he directs.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
Didn't say it was going to be or was it
just like, oh, this might be I think people are
saying because I don't know how his.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
Health is at the moment. He's ninety seven or something.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Yeah, exactly. And I heard it's really good too.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Oh okay, we'll have to see it. Freedom on Amazon based
on true events, A flamboyant robber becomes public enemy number
one in the eighties.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
What is cli a flamboyant Robbert? You had me there,
You had me there and eighties? The soundtrack, Oh, I
seriously want to see this.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
There's some wam in there.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Oh God, soundtrack's going to be dope onto a real pain.
It's in theaters. Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Kulkin are cousins
who visit Poland to honor their grandmother, but old tensions reserved,
storing their journey.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
I heard this movie's pretty good too, kind of dark,
but good.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
More Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Up, Mario Lopez, here, my wife, Courtney. Deadpool and Wolverine
has been one of the biggest movies of the year,
and now we know when it's coming to streaming. Disney
Plus has announced that it is going to debut Tuesday
the twelve. That's pretty quick.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well, the movie is the highest grossing R rated movie
of all time. It's made more than one point three
billion dollars, most recently beating out Barbie Nice.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
All right, let's get back to the music. Mario Courtney
Lopez here, we want to say congrats to Nina Doebrev
and Sean White. Sean proposed, Nina said, yes, ah Nice, Well, it.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Looks like it was a romantic affair. There were candles
and white flowers everywhere because his last name's white. Does
that have anything to.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Do with quick flying tomatoes?

Speaker 3 (06:47):
You can see those picks on ig if you would like.
The two have been together since twenty nineteen.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
So congrat congrats you're all. Mario Courtney Lopez and Martha
Stewart apparently hates.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Doc On with Mario Lopez Hollywood.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
But.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
So the movie Martha hit Netflix earlier this week. But
m Ditty is not a fan. That's her jailhouse name.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
She says she hates it, especially the final moments. Martha
says she looks like a lonely old lady. She was
suffering from an Achilles' injury, been there and was walking
around with a limp. She also hates the music choices
she wanted to rap put the scores mostly classical. That's
that Snoop influence.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Well, she also didn't like the camera angles they used
and the lack of focus on her grandchildren. The doc
spends a lot of time on her federal conviction, which
she says was only two years out of her eighty
three year old life.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
That was a fascinating part though, But that's funny that
she wasn't involved and had final cut till the end. Yeah,
I'm surprised to hear that.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Moore. Mario Lopez on the.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Way, Mario Lopez here, and we had a round up
of all this year a celebrity Halloween costumes are always
a lot of fun. Kelly Rippon, Marconzuelos's Taylor and Travis
to Selena Gomez and Bennie Blanco's Alice in Wonderland. You
can check out the best looks from last night at
onwmrio dot com and you'll see the Lopez Fanbam seventy
style representing what a Mario Courtney Lopez here. Today's guest

(08:30):
was the runner round of season two of American Idol.
It is Clay Aiken.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
He's back with his first album in more than a decade,
and it's going to get you into the holiday spirit.
We'll find out all about it.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
NeXT's up. You're on Mario Lopez joining now on Zoom Singer, actor,
activist Clay Aiken. Welcome to the show Man. Hey, thanks
for having me all. Nice to see you too. The
holiday season, of course, is upon us. You're releasing the
album Christmas Bells are Ringing, first album in a decade.
What inspired you to make this?

Speaker 7 (09:00):
Well, you know, I stepped away from from recording and
performing and all that stuff, and maybe twenty twelve or so,
so yeah, a little over a decade. My son was
getting to an age where I wanted to be around
and available for him more, and I just kind of,
you know, I had a great run for those first
Power many years after Idol and kind of wanted to

(09:21):
branch into a few other things. But uh, I did
I think we spoke you and I spoke not too
long ago about them. We had Ruben together with Ruben
and I did a tour together last year, and we
did Mass Singer this year also, and just kind of
getting back into performing a little bit with him kind
of got I tasted the bug.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Is that why he's that? And like, you know what
I mean, thank you chased the book, catch it do whatever.
I caught the bug, thank you.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
This is.

Speaker 7 (09:54):
Caught my dinner and tasted the book and uh and
you know we just made me kind of want to
get back into it. And my son is now sixteen,
so you know me around anyway, it works out kind
of perfectly. And Christmas has always been you know, the
tours that I've done that I've always enjoyed the most,
So it kind of made sense to come back and
do a Christmas out again.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Good for you.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Christmas Bells Are Ringing comes out on the twenty second
Hold On, I got to take a break. We're gonna
come back with Clay achin more.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Fun on the Way On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Mario Lopez here hanging out with Clay Aiken who his
new album is Christmas Bells Are ring The first single
is do you hear what I hear? What is it
about that track that made you want to showcase it?

Speaker 7 (10:34):
Well? I mean I love the song in general, and
I think there's a lot you can do with it musically.
People kind of look expect me to get big, you know,
the idle big singing, and that song allows you to
do it.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
But you know lyrically it was written in.

Speaker 7 (10:48):
The sixties as a kind of a response to the
Cuban missile crisis. The two folks who wrote it were
you worried about war in that in that time and
you know we're we're not headed to war right now,
but you know our world could use a little more peace,
I would argue, And that song sort of felt like
the right one to put out now. But that song,

(11:11):
even though people think of it as a Christmas song,
it has a timeless message of peace, and I think
that was why we wanted to put it out early.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yeah, good time and for that well, you can listen
to do you hear what I hear? On iHeart Radio?

Speaker 7 (11:23):
All right?

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Hang on, Clay got to take a break. We're gonna
play some more music. We can get into the holiday
spirit with Clay ach and you're all. Mario Lofez's new
album is Christmas Bells Are Ringing And you also recorded
a song I Love Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka made
that movie to what an awesome song, not necessarily a
Christmas song, but I'm glad you did. You just a

(11:44):
big fan as well.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
It is well, it's not a Christmas song, but if
you listen to it, it's about kids, and I mean
it's everything. Everything about that song. The spirit of it
is sort of the same as.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
The spirit spit.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
So Ron Fair, who produced the album, was just really
credible at taking this idea. Always I wanted to do
pure imagination because I love the song and I thought
it had the spirit of Christmas, and he just did
this incredible job of making it musically Christmas also, so
it's a it's a kind of a neat treat, you know,
favorite things from Sound and Music. Is also not a
Christmas song, but people put it on Christmas albums all

(12:17):
the time.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
So why should I put this one online? Good for you,
I like I like that song. I'm looking forward to
hearing your version the album. Christmas Bells Are Ringing Drops
November twenty second. Hang on, Clay, we got to get
back to the music. You're all Mario Lopez. My guest
today is Clay Aiken, and I saw you on Celebrity
Family Feud with your son. What's what's he into right now?

Speaker 7 (12:37):
Well, he's still you know, he is he is a
pilot already. He if he could, if he could drop
out of high school and be a pilot right now,
that's what he'd want to do. He's that's that's his
passion in life.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
That's his path.

Speaker 7 (12:49):
So Family Feud was his first time in sixteen years
that we've let him do anything publicly. We we've got to,
you know, we've been pretty careful about keeping him away
in the public eye for the last sixteen years, let
him have a real normal childhood, and then we completely
ruined it by letting him go on Family Feud. And
he's got this huge head around his high school.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
That's great, he thinks, all up, all right, Oh that's fun.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Has he has he seen any of your idol performances
from back in the day.

Speaker 7 (13:18):
I don't know if he's seen idle ones or not.
He's seen me perform when I was when he was younger,
I had I was still touring a little bit, so
he came to some of those. He came to ruben
Andized tour. Obviously, he came to Rubenized Broadway show. But
I don't know if he's seen the idol things or not.
He might have seen Bridge Upper trouble water because it
kind of makes its way around every once in a while.

(13:39):
But he has very little interest in anything I'm doing.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah, hey, my kids as well. They could care less.
I think, why don't we take another break. We're gonna
wrap it up in a moment. Hangtight, Clay.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
You're the full.

Speaker 8 (13:51):
Interview now at On with Mario dot Com. More Mario
Lopez on the Way Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
He're wrapping things up with today's guest Clay Aiken and
works with Christmas around the corner. Do you decorate early
because we're like on the heels of Halloween boom, everything's
going up. Well, that's the way the world is.

Speaker 7 (14:09):
I know, we usually do decorating around right after Thanksgiving.
You know, we let we get through the holidays and
then we do we do it. We bring Christmas in full.
As soon as Santa comes fur on the Macy's Parade,
that's when Christmas starts. I think that's probably the I
don't know if I shouldn't say that this year because
the album comes out in the twenty second, right, But

(14:30):
if I were not trying to sell an autum, I
would say that Thanksgiving week is sort of when Christmas starts.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Okay, I appreciate the honesty.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Well.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Meanwhile, listen pick up Christmas bells are ringing on November
twenty second, and Clay always nice to see you man.
Thanks for Jumie. Thanks a lot. Mario Lopez here with
my wife Courtney. The fiftieth season of Saturday Night Live
has been hitting it out of the park so far.
It's one I should be a good one. Comic John
mulaney hosts.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
The music guest is Chapel Rowan. She'll probably be performing
Hot to Go maybe also Good Luck people. We'll also
have the most viral moments at Almathmarrio dot com.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
You're all, Mario Courtney Lopez. Time for another fake debate
where the topics are made up on the spot, but
the passion is real. Who's pro and who's con?

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Today?

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Cody will be conn, You will be pro. Fifteen seconds
make your case, ten second rebuttal. Your topic today is
decorating for Christmas on October thirty first.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
I'm pro, youre pro.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
You need to decorate for Christmas on October thirty first.
As soon as the clock strikes twelve on Halloween, that's
November first, exactly. That's when you need to start decorating. Oh,
October thirty first, okay, eleven fifty nine five start again.
If you want to get technical, your starts up.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
Start then folks, this low Pez.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Why on earth would you want to rush your life
so much? Live in the moment, be with your kids
and start decorating at twelve oh one am on November first,
That's what I'm doing.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
That's the Lopez.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
First of all, you're an irresponsible parent. If your kids
are still at it eleven fifty nine, they should be
sound asleep with all the car out on hell are
you talking? Or am I talking? Am I talkingould? The
kids should be at eleven fifty nine. If your kids
are not asleep, you're an irresponsible parent. You need to
get a head start because it takes up a lot
of time and you want to be able to enjoy
it for as much as possible.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
How much time has it taken you to decorate it
for Christmas? Just curious?

Speaker 2 (16:28):
As much time as take you to my pocket?

Speaker 3 (16:31):
What do you mean I decorate?

Speaker 8 (16:33):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez, you're
a Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Before we take off of the weekend, we're gonna give
you the final word with our comment of the week.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
What do you got honey?

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Ah? It is from Annie may Social and she said,
you came to me at three pot fifty nine asking
for something by end of the day, Unfortunately, I already
decided that my day was over.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Who is she saying this to because it gets her boss.
I think it's it's your boss. That's a bad It's
got to be like a coworker or something to be
a coworker or like a husband or something like that.
Because you tell your boss your day's over, well you
might have to be looking for a new job. Job
might be over exactly.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Want to be the tweet of the week.

Speaker 8 (17:12):
Tweet us on with Mario and hang on because Mario
Lopez will be right back.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
All right, we're out here. Don't forget to turn your
cocks back on Sunday. It's going to start to get
darker so soon. That's a mean one.

Speaker 3 (17:23):

Kate Flannery from the office. Until then, this is Mario
and Courtney Lopez saying good night

Speaker 1 (17:31):
