Honey, it is National Cappuccino Day.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
You know, I love a cappuccino, but I gotta be honest.
There's no substance to.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
It, at least be flat.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
You got a lot of froth going on, not much
caffeine action. It's just something you kind of have with
like a cookie or a biscuit or something. You know,
so you're paying for froth. Yeah, it's too frothy for me.
I'd rather just go straight coffee. Hey, Mario Lopez here
in today's guest has seventeen platinum singles.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
He's also a huge influencer on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Talking about Jason Derulo, he's got a new single and

into it, all of it next.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Y Oh.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Mario Lopez joined me now on Zoom. Singer and songwriter
with seventeen platinum singles.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
On that Jason Derulo, welcome to the show, brother.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
Thank you, Maria. How you doing.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
I'm doing well, man, I'm doing well.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Congrats on the new single, make Me Happy. I like it.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
It's upbeat, it's fun, you start moving to it. What
was the inspo for this one?

Speaker 6 (03:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (03:53):
Man, you know, with all the civil unrest in the world,
I wanted to, you know, create some kind of tonic,
you know, create something that.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Would make people happy.

Speaker 7 (04:04):
And uh, Josh six five actually sent me a track
that I thought was amazing. He sent it to me,
and instantly I started to feel good listening to it, so, I,
you know, I wrote this song to it, and you know,
it's it's been amazing to watch everybody, do you know
these videos with their families and you see all the

(04:24):
love and the videos and then you see, uh, the
dance that was created by Olivia from Poland that has
just been going crazy.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
It's been pretty amazing to watch. That's cool.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You guys, you and Josh have a great history together.
Obviously the Savage Love Monster hit right there is this?
Uh is this part of the new album or just
a one off single?

Speaker 7 (04:45):
Yeah, definitely part of a new album, which, uh, you know,
I'm trying well, I can't say to date obviously, but
I'm trying to get it, get it out as soon
as possible.

Speaker 6 (04:56):
You know.

Speaker 7 (04:57):
The last time people waiting for like four year, so
it's not gonna be on hundred kind of situations.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Okay, Well, we've got a lot to talk about. We've
got to take a break. We're gonna have more with
Jason Drulo coming up.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Mario Lopez here hanging out with Jason Drulo and I
know you're gonna be in Vegas for New Year's Eve weekend.
Then get better?

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Yeah, man, what you got? What you're excited?

Speaker 7 (05:19):
So I had the residency this year and there was
a lot of upset fans that didn't get a chance
to get tickets.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
So I was like before the year ends.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
I wanted to, you know, put these last two dates out,
so big weekend, uh, New Year's Weekend, and two dates
twenty eighth and twenty ninth.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Back to Vegas to talk about this all the time.
But the room is unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (05:43):
Everywhere you turn within that room, you see, uh, the
walls are alive almost you know, the dancers are in
the in the stands with you. I'm in the stands
with you. Uh, and it feels like a submersive kind
of experience.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
What's the venue.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
It's called a bowl tear Okay, at the Venetian.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Oh okay, yes, yes, nice.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
All right, We'll head on over to on Mario dot
com for tickets and info. Let's place more music Mario
Lopez here. He got Jason Derulo on ZIM with me.
And you're also gonna be doing some jingle ball shows
this holiday season. You you do any Christmas songs or
you just just the hits.

Speaker 6 (06:23):
You know what.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
I was thinking about doing some Christmas songs, but man,
I'm already trying to fit you know, all of these
songs into this into the set, so I don't I
don't think I can add any Christmas songs without people
getting upset. The worst thing in the world is when
people come up to me and they're like, I love you, Jason,
but why didn't you do right?

Speaker 6 (06:42):
Right right?

Speaker 4 (06:43):
That's a good thing. That's a good thing.

Speaker 7 (06:45):
I'm gonna I'm gonna stick to my songs for the
jingle Ball Man, but I'm really excited I'm actually partnering
up with Make a Wish and UH and with my
Heart to bring somebody to meet me live on stage
in front of the twenty thousand people in Miami.

Speaker 6 (07:02):
That's Gamy's jingle Ball.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
And all people got to do is raise awareness by
doing the dance challenge for make Me Happy and hashtag
that make Me Happy sweepstakes. But the saddest thing about
Make a Wish is that every wish doesn't come true,
you know, for these deserving kids. So I wanted to
do my part, and I think we all should do
our part and making as many wishes come true and

(07:25):
the shortest amount of time possible. So either do the
dance or donate ten dollars of more to enter the
sweepstakes and you get a first class flight, Rose Royce
Action red carpet and meet me live on stage in
front of all of those people at Miami.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Very cool of you to do that.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
All right, hang on, Jason, got to get back to
the music. J'al Mario Lopez. My guest today is Jason Darulo,
and hey man, the social media game is next level
right there.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
How you come up with ideas for your videos?

Speaker 2 (07:54):
And my kids were mad at me because said, Dad,
you had Jason Derulo and you came up with that
whack video.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
So you're gonna have to help me.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Man, come on and do something a little a little
better for my kids who are all big fans of yours.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Yeah, we got we gotta plant it.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Out man, and I'm gonna see you in a little bit.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Yeah for sure. Let's let's let's do a real video.

Speaker 7 (08:16):
Okay, uh be uh excited, But yeah, man, I'm constantly
thinking about ideas, Like during during the day, if something
just comes up, I'm just like, oh, oh that could
be a TikTok what that could be a video?

Speaker 6 (08:30):
So this just throughout the day as things happen.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yeah, okay, so you see, when you're young and cool,
it just comes to you.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
I'm old trying to hang.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
In there, so okay, I'm gonna listen to you.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
Right there.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Well, gotta take another quick break. We're gonna wrap it
up with Jason Drulo. More on the way.

Speaker 8 (08:44):
We're the full interview now at on with Mario do More.
Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Mario Lopez here wrapping things up with Jason Dulo and
before we go, man, I hold your boy, now hold
your son three.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
He's three years old. Man.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
It's fun.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Yeah, man, it is a hell of a journey. I've
been having the time of my life.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
What was he for Halloween?

Speaker 6 (09:04):
Buzz light Year? He was buzz light Year. His mom
was both peep and I was Woody.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
The theme we did that, Dave. Yeah, they love toys.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
Let's get a.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Little story right there. Toysters.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
Great card too.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Hey man, Well, congratulations on everything. We look forward to
checking you out and listen to make me happy on
iHeartRadio or wherever.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
You get new music.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Thanks for having out, brother, I'll see you soon.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Mario Lopez here and here is why so many artists
try to write new Christmas music each year. A new
classic could set you up for life. For instance, Mariah
Carey makes about two point six million a year for
all I want for Christmas is you that you know
what good form. Not by the way, that's including I

(10:01):
believe the two dozen number one hits she has.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Yeah, that's just the Christmas song. That's just the Christmas song.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
She's got a bunch of Christmas songs that is amazing.
It's made sixty million in royalties over the past thirty years.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
I can't believe it's.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Been around thirty years.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
That's why songs, man.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah, well, no wonder everybody's coming out of Christmas music.
And you know what, just as popular as ever time
for mussy movies. The Mario Courtney Lopez particular at everything
new coming to theaters and streaming.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
This weekend, heretic it's in theaters. Two young missionaries are
lured into a cat and mouse game inside the home
of Hugh Grant.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah, this is getting some positive buzz. It looks pretty
good and Hugh Grant is a bad guy. He's really
pulling it off.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Elevation. It's in theaters and the post apocalyptic of Rocky Mountains,
a single father must face monstrous creatures to save the
life of a young boy. Ooh, fun small things like these.
It's in theaters during Christmas of nineteen eighty five. Killian
Murphy makes a discovery at a local convent that makes
him confront the secret of his hometown.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
I'm a big fan of his, as you know, and
I bet the soundtrack is going to be great in
this too. He's also very devout Catholic, so I'm sure
he was really into this.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Okay, the best Christmas pageant ever, it's in theaters. The
worst kids in the history of the world take over
their local church pageant and unwittingly teach the community the
true meaning of Christmas.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Well, there's a.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Spin more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
You're on Mario Lopez and Krista Cavalari steps into the
Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
On with Mario Lopez Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
So, Kristin Cavalari is single again after recently breaking up
with her twenty four year old influencer boyfriend. But she's
got a unique deal breaker for whomever she dates next.
The guy has had to have had a asectomy. Well,
that limits the dating pool. She's already got three kids
of her own and doesn't want to deal with another baby.
In fact, ideally her next guy will have older children,

(11:55):
so she doesn't have a Brady Bunch situation. Well, Kristen
with all due respects, when you're messing around with twenty
four year old influencers, they're not going to have a vasectomy.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
I'm sorry. Is this just her way of saying, I'm
gonna go for older dudes?

Speaker 8 (12:09):
Now?

Speaker 2 (12:10):
She just needs to be straight out about it because
you start throwing mandates out there.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Yeah, that's not gonna go well, that's not gonna go well.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
But I do think it's a good idea, especially since
you have three kids. An older gentleman maybe you guys
kids of his own, probably in the same boat as
you are, So good luck or Mario Lopez coming up,
Mario Lopez here, we got some info about Stranger Things
season five.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Totally forgot about the show.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
It's been so long. New episodes are going to pick
up one year after the events of season four, so
we're talking nineteen eighty seven. Expect some references to fatal Traction,
bon Jovi, alf alf.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Maybe the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
The episode is going to drop sometime this next year,
so my daughter and I are looking forward to that.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
All right, more music now, Mario Lopez. Here was some
quick buzz for you.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Seth MacFarland and family Guy are getting into the Christmas Spirit.
They've lined up a holiday special called Gift of the
White Guy. Stewie will have to change his ways after
he finds out that he's on Santa's Naughty List.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Not a shocker.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Peter will have to recover his wife's jewelry that he
gave away as a white Elephant gift, and.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
A special appearance by Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
You know what you never know? You can look for
it on Hulu on November twenty fifth, Yamarow Courtney Lopez
top for a fake to Bay where the topics are
made up on the spot, but the passions me.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Who's pro?

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Who's cone today? Last time?

Speaker 4 (13:31):
I think Courtney was pro last time and you were con.
So we'll switch that up and Courtney will be con.
You will be pro. Fifteen seconds to make your case.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Ten second rebuttal your topic today since we're just talking
about a little bit.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Again, my pro or my con.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
You're pro Okay music videos? I'm pro music video? Yes, Okay.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Music videos remind me so much of my youth. It
was a huge part of MTV. They would play them
twenty four to seven and you can really make a song.
Hence thriller. Aha take on me. They're timeless and unfortunately
we don't have them anymore.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
This is all put.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Unfortunately, music videos are just way too expensive to make today.
That's why people don't do it. And then they don't
even make sense. You're singing in the rain, talking about
having a baby. Nothing, the emotion doesn't make sense. It's
just people that want to get wet wearing white shirts.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
What an awful perspective.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Music videos add.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Flavor to your soul as you're hearing the songs, and
sometimes you're not a fan of the song, but you're
a fan of the video and it makes you a.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Fan of the song. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
I think it gives unrealistic expectations to where when people
are feeling emotion, they then feel they can stand outside
in the rain and cry.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Amen, I'm surprised you can go with Boston's Amanda hit
number one without a music video, and but you tell
us so you think one?

Speaker 8 (14:55):
Ada and Mario more fun on the way on with
Mario Lopez?

Speaker 4 (15:00):
What a Mario Lopez?

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Here? We got something in our inbox courtesy of the
talkback button on the iHeartRadio apples.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
Check it out.

Speaker 9 (15:06):
This is Lauren. I'm from Rina Valley. My birthday is
actually the thirtieth of this month, so I'd be super
cool to win and take my kids to Disneyland for
my birthday. So I hope you guys have a great weekend.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
I hope you have a great weekend and have a
great birthday. And you can find out more info about
our sweep steaks over at allmy dot com and look
for the contest tab. All right, let's keep the music going.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
What al Mario Lopez Here?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Blake Sheldon hoping to add a new classic to the
Christmas canon. If you go see the movie The Best
Christmas Pageant Ever this weekend, you're gonna hear his rock
and version of Go Tell It on a Mountain, Tell.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
It all about, over the heels and everyway.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Go tell It on the mountain Right there, A little
spiritual Gama like it. Christmas has been good to Blake too.
Five years ago, he and Gwen recorded You Make It
Feel Like Christmas, which now has more than thirty one
million spins on YouTube.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Almar Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Before we take off for the weekend, we're gonna give
you our final word with our comment of the week.

Speaker 6 (16:05):
What do we got Honey?

Speaker 3 (16:06):
This is from at aceh and they said, as a
social worker, it's hard for me to dress up for Halloween.
There's a possibility that someone is telling me something heavy
and I'm dressed like a sexy leprechaun.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
That's true, ace sh. There's certain things, there's certain occupations.
I think you got to keep it professional, and as
a social worker, I think that's one of them. That's
solid point.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
I want to be at the tweet of the week.

Speaker 8 (16:33):
The tweet us on with Mario, and hang on because
Mario Lopez will be right back alight.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Time for me to punch out full steam ahead into
the weekend. I'll be back on Monday with more music
and fun, and I will fill you in on everything
happening in the Hollywood buzz until then, Mario Lopez saying
good night
