house Merry Christmas.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Well, I think it's however you want to interpreted, Sandy Phillips.
I tend to lean towards your view of joy throwing
up in the house.

Is that what my daycre looks like?

To you? Oh?

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers as he rebounds from his Achilles
injury and chronicles the defining and controversial moments of his
life and career.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
So I've met Aaron Rodgers a couple of times, and
he's always been very cool with me. Nice guy, incredible quarterback,
just athlete.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
All right, psychoedelic literally a trip.

Speaker 2 (01:54):

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Ha ha ha, Yes, all right, time to break the
time for me.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yesterday's game of mono tune Mario Courtney Lopez. Here we're
trying to guess Christmas songs based on the lyrics being
read to us.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Tie it up.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
In the end, it was a good one, so we're
gonna do a mini round to break the tie. Let's
get our hands on the buzzers.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It's on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 7 (02:43):
It's now time for mono tune.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
So yesterday you tied it up, so all you gotta
do is tell me the name of the song, not
the artist, because some of these songs may have been
done by multiple artists and all of that. Here we go,
hands on buzzers. Santa, tell me if you're really there.
Don't make me fall in love again. If he won't
be here next year, Santa, Mario Santa, baby incorrect, I

(03:11):
did not buzz Please keep reasing. Santa, tell me if
he really cares because I can't give it all away
if he won't be here next year. Feeling Christmas all around,
and I'm trying to play it cool, but it's hard
to focus when I see him walking across the room.
Let it snow is blasting out, but I won't get
in the mood. I'm avoiding every missile toe until I

(03:31):
know it's true love that he thinks of me. Santa,
tell me, Courtney.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Santa, tell me what you really care.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
He's the artist, you know.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Ariana Grande is correct.

Speaker 8 (03:48):
It's one to zero. There's two more Merry Christmas, Saint Nick.
Christmas comes this time of year. Oh oh, well, way
up north where the air gets cold. There's a tale
about Christmas that you've all been told. And a real
famous cat, all dressed up in red, and he spends
the whole year working out on his sledge.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Who called Santa a cat?

Speaker 8 (04:12):
It's the little Saint Nick, Little Saint Nick, Mario, it's
a little Saint Nick, Little Saint Nick. You you took
a guest absolutely the Beach Boys.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, because it's like, you know, that had to be
an old song because who's that cat?

Speaker 8 (04:24):
Yeah, cat's like a seventies like this sort of phrase word.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
So yeah, they're like that.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Do you still say cats?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Because I'm whole school? So it is one to one?

Speaker 8 (04:34):
All right, this is it, Tibaker for the tiebreaker. Out
of all the Reindeers. You know you are the mastermind.
Run Run Rudolf, Rudolf, ain't too far behind. Run run
rude Off, Mario.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Run Rudoff.

Speaker 9 (04:48):
Run.

Speaker 8 (04:49):
No, come on, hold on, Do you want to take
a guess really quick at the time?

Speaker 6 (04:54):
No?

Speaker 8 (04:54):
No, do you want to take a guest before Nichols judge,
run run rude Off.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Think I got it.

Speaker 8 (05:01):
I think we have to give it to him with
this run Run Rudolph. He just got it out of Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
I got it, I got it. You said it after me.
You didn't want to guess.

Speaker 7 (05:12):
I was still trying to figure out the title.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
He basically said the title. He said it slightly out
of order.

Speaker 8 (05:19):
I was waiting on the judge to give me an
answer if you, I asked the judge.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Everyone shut up. I asked the judge for an answer.
He had not given me one. And then you said
that you shouldn't have said that yet because you didn't
give an answer. So then I went to the judge
give me a three. You get out what Mary christ
don't be a sore loser.

Speaker 7 (05:38):
Happy Holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Won't be right back.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
So if you missed jingle Ball on Friday Night, you
missed out.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
On so many faster performances from all of our faves
Katie Perry, twenty one Pilots, Teddy Swims, Megan Trainer, Benson, Boonshawboozy,
and so much more.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
It's Mario and Corney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I'm with Mario dot com for a few highlights and
get ready to relive the biggest night of the holiday
season tomorrow night on NBC and then streaming Thursday on Hulu.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yo, Mario Corney Lopez a few more songs and I'm
gonna fire up the Zoom and chat with actor Martin Cole.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Not only was he in the Og Karate Kid back
in the day, but he's been crashing it in Cobra Kai,
which is getting ready to wrap up.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
My son is so sad.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
We're gonna get this scoop on the final episode from
Martin cove.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Next Tupyl Mario Lopez joining me right now on Zoom.
One of the stars a Cobra Kai actor Martin Cove.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
How you bet, Martin, I'm good.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
I'm good, really good.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Very nice to see you. I just was telling you
off air. My eleven year old son has binged all
seasons of Cobra Kai. He's now rewatching them. He is
such a huge fan. He's obviously got good taste.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
And Part two of the sixth and final season of
Cobra Kai is airing now on Netflix. What is the
legendary John Crees up two In the final season.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
In the final season, I mean, there's so many surprises.
You know.

Speaker 9 (07:03):
We shot fifteen shows. We aired the first five and
then the second five and then the last five. Heirs
in February, and there's so many surprises.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
I don't want to.

Speaker 9 (07:14):
Spoil it for anybody, but those who need to get
their come up and get them. Those who need generosity
get it, those who need love get it. So it's
really well written, and it's a lot of resolutions and
a lot of surprises, and I think everybody will really

(07:38):
enjoy it, you know, So we'll go out with a
big bang, nice Well, we would never cancel, it's just
that this is what the writers wanted.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Sure, they want six seasons everybody to be wrapped up,
and it was a good choice.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
I like that we'll see redemption from most of these
characters right there. Well, Martin hayk Ty, we're going to
take a quick break and come back with more Martin Coche,
you and yours.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
This is on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
We'll be right back Mario Lopez here getting back to
Cobra Kay's Martin Cove and with Cobra.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Kai getting ready to rap up.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
It's got to be pretty awesome because it's special to
say goodbye to a character that you've been involved with
for forty years now.

Speaker 9 (08:15):
Yeah, you know, this character has had his trials and
tribulations on my personal life, you know. I mean, you
don't go through a relationship break up twelve times in
six years without blaming John Creese, you know.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
So you know, it was quite interesting and.

Speaker 9 (08:36):
I really I really enjoy the character because now the
character has vulnerability. Now he has an arc, you know,
now he has you know, they're writing emotions for him
that he didn't have in the movies, and I wanted that.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
When Martin, hang on a little more music and we're
coming back with Cobra Kay's Martin Cole. All right, more
with Cobra Kai, Martin Cove, coming on Mario Lopez here
in the meantime, I'd love to play a song for you,
So if you got a request, please slide into my
DMS on ig at On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
We're wrapping up with actor Martin Cove. You're on Mario
Lopez and Martin.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I remember having a conversation with you and you were
saying that you would.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Hope to make a Western film soon. Right, you still
want to play a cowboy?

Speaker 9 (09:24):
Yeah, you know, I've been playing cowboys since I was
since I was old.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
My mother used to tell.

Speaker 9 (09:29):
Me the story that I watched TV when I was
like seven or eight. Those horse operas were pretty much
one horse was galloping after another and that's what was
going on the screen.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
And she used she used to tell me that I
used to go.

Speaker 9 (09:41):
Around the back of the TV to see what happened
to the horse on the right side of the frame.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
You know, yes, you know. But the bottom line is we're.

Speaker 9 (09:51):
In development on a with my friend Jeff Frost and
people who created Mudbound, Uh and Peanut Brol. We're doing
a story about a old gunfighter who bonds with a
twelve year old kid, because I really feel that kids
nowadays don't have any heroes.

Speaker 6 (10:10):
I just think they need heroes. Back when you and
I were watching TV back.

Speaker 9 (10:15):
In the sixties, there were thirty five westerns on Primetime.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
I love westerns too. I'm a huge Western fan.

Speaker 9 (10:23):
You know.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
And now kids don't have that. They don't have Eastwood,
they don't have John Wayne. So I want kids to
have heroes.

Speaker 9 (10:31):
And this story is about a Marl Fiber which is
exchanged between the twelve year old and an old gunfighter
killer monster, and I play him, and.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
I think, you know, kids will.

Speaker 9 (10:44):
I think kids will will gravitate to the twelve year
old as adults will gravitate to my character who's learning
how to be a human being.

Speaker 6 (10:53):
You know.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
That's awesome. Well, good luck with that project.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
And meanwhile, we're going to be sure to catch Martin
Cove as a wrap up Obra Kai on Netflix, which
is of course streaming now. Mart thank you so much
for checking in, my friend, so.

Speaker 6 (11:06):

This is festive because it's National Maple Syrup Day.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
All that festive, there's delicious. There's nothing better than maple syrup.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
Can I It sounds like a three sixty five thing?

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Yeah, but Buddy the Elf used it on all his spaghetti.

and it's still very tasty.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
That is true.

any that taste good even when they flavor them, try
this trick. Get a Caprice Son, take this straw and
poke it completely through the top. Now hide the medicine
behind the Caprice sun and put the end of the

(16:15):
straw into the meds Now, your kids will think they're
sipping a Caprice Son, but they're really getting their medicine sound.

And then you can throw your head back and laugh
ha ha at the end.

for fourteen years but it wasn't until after they tied
the knot and Nicole confessed to a lie she told
Joel when.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
They first started dating.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Apparently, Nicole dropped by the Caller Daddy podcast and revealed
that when they first started dating, he.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
Would invite her over to watch The Wire. He asked
if she had ever watched it, and she lied, saying
yes it was her favorite, when she never saw a
second of it prior. Oh, that's taking one for the team.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
That's okay, that's a little white lie. I'm sure I've
said I was interested in stuff that you've liked that
I haven't.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Well, for example, for example, you don't want to watch
Yellowstone or any of the spin offs. Uh, but you
said you'd watch Tulsa King with me because you watched
the first season. So you want me to wait to
watch the second season?

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Right?

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Correct?

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Okay, I'm waiting.

What is this like a preemptive pardon you're trying to
get I know. No, I'm just making sure she's still
on board with that. I didn't know if you were
going to answer it.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
No, it's Okay, you can go ahead and watch it,
but I'm just saying you're still on board.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
It was worth the wait.

Speaker 3 (18:46):

Nicole Richie?

Speaker 4 (18:53):

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Yeah, Kelly Clarkson Underneath the Tree, Okay, Grandma got run
over by a reindeer.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Of course, I mean, how could you not?

Speaker 5 (19:37):
And Celine Dion's whole CD.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
Perfect that counts as one song. I think I agree
with two of those.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
You've got to have Mariah's All I Want for Christmas.
I like Kelly Clarkson's Underneath the Tree. I like My
all time favorite probably is Donnie Hathaway's This Christmas, and
the fourth one is Stevie Wonders What Christmas Means to Me?
