Tabby Getcha? If you're referring to this particular Valentine's Day,
We had a little getaway trip to San Francisco. Oh

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Man? Hey man? You know something about being an actor
and a host?
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah, yeah, a little bit, a little bit. I'm trying
to figure it out before we get into that. We
were just chatting. You told me you were gone how
many weeks out of the last year.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
After calculating I was on the road forty three weeks
out of last year, which puts me, you know, home
for nine.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
That is that is insane. How did you like that?
Was it all work?
Speaker 6 (04:12):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Pleasure?
Speaker 6 (04:12):
For a lot of it was work or you know,
if you've got to be somewhere for work, then you
build in some extra time to jump off somewhere, you know. Yeah,
so it was a little bit of both. But yeah, no,
I mean it's it's great. I mean it well for me,
it meant that like work was back in full swing
(04:33):
after you know, after COVID, after strikes, after you.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
Know, these things. That it was just a big full year,
which was fun.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Nice. Did you have a favorite location?
Speaker 6 (04:42):
Gosh, yeah, I mean Cape Town, South Africa is unbelievable.
I made a pilgrimage back to Armenia where my great
grandmother where my great grandmother and that that lineage on
my mother's side really from so I went and I
saw that, which which was really important.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Wow. I did not know that. All right, learning a
lot today. All right, Joe hanged tight. I want to
talk a little deal or no deal Island quick break.
We're gonna come back more with Joe.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
All Mario Lopez catching up with Joe Manganelo this hour,
and we were just talking about hosting. You're, of course
hosting Deal or No Deal Island. Are you enjoying that world?
Speaker 5 (05:22):
I love it? I love it, man, It's the greatest.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
What you can you know, It's like it was tricky
for me because you know, I took that some of
the projects, the types of things that I was doing,
like you know, like like you you stay in that lane,
you know what I mean, Like like moving into hosting
is moving into an entirely new lane, you know.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
And and so I was hesitant for many years to
do it. But I'm so.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Glad that I did the right The right job came
up for me, and I'm so glad that I did
it because it's like the show was made for me
and I I really do love it.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah, Joe Maganello hanging out with us on Zoo this hour.
You're al Maria Lopez talking Deal or No Deal Island. Now,
for those who may not be familiar with it, Deal
or No Deal Island, is it essentially Dealer, No Deal
meat survivor somewhat?
Speaker 6 (06:12):
Yeah, I mean you could throw in a little fear factor,
maybe a little wipeout, you know.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
There there's there's elements of other games.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
It's a bit of a hybrid in that way, you know,
kind of postmodernist.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
You know game. But but I mean the money is humongous.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
Yeah, and and yeah, fans of the original Deal or
No Deal will love it because there are lots of
elements of that. But yeah, there are there are elements
of Survivor, but it's it's more strategic and and definitely
all of the social game that that that people love
from Survivor.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
That's fine, that's fine. Your location for that as well.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
We're on location on the on the Banker's private Island.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yes, okay, congrats on that man. All right, hang on
a few more songs and we're going to come back
with Joe. Catch it up with Joe Manganela. Oh, Mario
Lopez here, been talking Dealer No Deal Island. But you
also got a new comedy coming out on Netflix, film
called known as Cool. Cast to Vince Wan, Susan Sarandon,
what's this one about?
Speaker 5 (07:12):
It's based on a true story.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
There's a restaurant in Staten Island that was started by
a man whose mother passed away, and in honor of
his mother and also his grandmother who had recently passed away,
he started a restaurant where he went out and recruited
Italian grandma's to work the kitchen. So when you go
to the restaurant, your food is being cooked by an
(07:36):
Italian grandma, like grandma used to cook. You know, Grandma's
cooking for you. And so that restaurant still exists in
Staten Island. Vince Vaughn and I played best friends in
the film. We actually went to the restaurant in Staten
Island and like we're greeted with a twelve course Italian meal.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
Sounds amazing. It met the guys that were playing in
real life.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Oh that's cool. That's cool because Grandma's taking their time cooking.
How's uh, how's that turnaround?
Speaker 5 (08:04):
No, man, they're moving it out. I mean there was
so much food on the table that whole shoot. It
was like, you know, twelve course meals four times a week.
Oh day, it was the whole cast went out to eat.
Speaker 6 (08:16):
It's Vince and I, Susan Sarandon, like you mentioned Lorraine
Brocco from Goodfellas, Palia Shire Yo, Adrian love it obviously
Connie from Goodfellow, from from Connie from the Godfather. Then
you get friend of a Caro from Midnight Cowboy, Drea
de Matteo, Carlini.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Lots of people with vowels at the end of their names.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Yeah, oh that's cool, man I kind of flick. Congrats
on that.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Vince great all about Italian food and it's great.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
All right, one more thing I want to ask quick break,
they're gonna come back and wrap it up with Joe Meganella.
You're the full interview now on with Mario, Doug more,
Mario Lopez on the way, wrap it up with Joe Maganella.
You're all Mario Lopez and before you go, man I
saw you're also starring in season two of the Netflix
is one Piece. That's the one about pirates, right.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Yeah, that's right. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Are you a pirate?
Speaker 6 (09:05):
Oh, I'm like one of the most notorious pirates in
their canon.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Now is this forgive me for not known? Is this
like pirates? Like pirates are the care being kind of
pirates or like the Somali pirates? What's going on? What
kind of pirate are we talking?
Speaker 6 (09:17):
So it's it's based on the most popular Japanese manga
and anime of all time. So there's twenty six years
of manga, the comic book, and then there's like thirteen
hundred episodes of the anime the cartoon ye and it's
(09:37):
you know, it's a fantasy world where where it's almost
like a serialistic painting where like things are things kind
of like remind you of other things or things in
our world, but they're not. And there's it's just a mixture.
There's you know, there's there's a bit of like Caribbean pirate,
European pirate, but it's.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
There's a neon sign.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Then there's like steampunk elements, you know, like I control
these alligators that have these growths out of their heads
that look like bananas, so all the banana gators, you know.
So there's it's a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Congrats on everything, brother, Listen, everyone be sure to check
out season two of Deal or No Deal Island, airing
Tuesdays on NBC and you can stream it on Peacock
as well. Joe, thanks for checking in, man.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
All right, man, Thanks, Happy President's Day.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
You're on. Mario Courtney Lopez music rolls on as we
get ready for another pop culture pop quiz. Choose your side,
see Mario or team Courtney, because we're about to battle
it out presidential style. Next you're Mario Courtney Lopez not
for pop culture pop quiz, and in honor of President's Day,
we're going to see who knows more when it comes
to presidential knowledge with a little pop quar is uh oh,
(11:01):
let's get our hands on the buzzers.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Pawned with Mario pop quiz.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
All right, okay, okay.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Here we goks no, calm down, calm down, here we go.
First question, in what year was the first presidential election held?
Was it seventeen seventy six, seventeen seventy seven, seventeen eighty one,
or seventeen eighty nine?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Mario, seventeen seventy seven.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
That is incorrect.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Oh, I said that with confidence too, recording seventy six incorrect.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Seventeen eighty nine George Washington was elected.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Okay, that much after seventy I knew would be after.
I thought it would be immediately after.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
But okay, okay, they waited a little bit.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Can educated guests and a jon all right.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
In eighteen forty nine, a future president was granted a
patent for inventing a method of increasing the buoyancy of
a vote. Which of these presidents holds this patent? Fillmore
Lincoln or Grant? That's Courtney Buchanan. That is incorrect.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Were you the choice Grant?
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Uh, Fillmore Lincoln, Grant or Buchanan?
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Did Grant in the middle of the Civil Wars just
started venting something? I don't think so?
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Or did he?
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Are you guessing Grant? I'm thinking out the process. Yes,
he's guessing Grant incorrect. Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln. When he
was he built a float boat for twenty four dollars,
loaded it with produce, and it kept it running aground.
So he built the system to keep it to balance
it out on the water.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Is twenty four dollars back then.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
That was a lot of money. Got the money all right?
One more in this round? Which first lady essentially served
as the secret president after her husband suffered a severe stroke.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Courney, she had white hair.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
I need a name.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
June Carter incorrect? Is this multiple choice?
Speaker 3 (12:55):
June Carter was a singer who married Johnny Cash.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Is this a multiple choice or now?
Speaker 5 (13:01):
No?
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Oh, lady bir Johnson incorrect Edith Wilson in nineteen nineteen,
Woodrow Wilson suffered a severe stroke. So Wilson, so she
she went happened to the vice president.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Well, they didn't tell anyone, so she secretly was just
like making decisions and stuff like that. That's good, Yeah, exactly,
I think it's zero zero. Still, it will take a break,
come back and do some more. Okay, more Mario Lopez
coming up.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Round two of Our President's Day pop Quizer on with
Mario Courtney Lopez. The score is currently zero zero. Is
it's a heated battle.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Normally Mario's like I'm winning today.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
We're all losing today.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
One question in this let's get her hands on the buzzers.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Who is the only American president to have served more
than two terms in office? Mario George Washington? Incorrect?
Speaker 1 (13:51):
How is it not? George Washington?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
George Washington actually refused to do more than two, but
there was there was no law or anything in place
at the time.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
First one would get away with it.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Incorrect. Roosevelt's Franklin because Rollervelt. Yeah, well that's what he claimed.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
But yeah, see I thought I'd go. My logic was
back then, maybe they didn't establish terms so.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Well, they didn't they didn't have them established till later on.
But Roosevelt was actually the reason that they put presidential
term limits in because he was in before then. He
was in for three full and then almost a fourth,
So before.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Him, people just decided to only do two.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Basically, yeah, they wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Yeah, it's interesting because I thought, okay, early they wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Establish well because early on they may be dying the
well well that, but also the mentality was they didn't
want a king. They didn't want someone who was there
the whole time.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
No, right, That's why I thought they would. Yeah, they
would maybe, Okay, No.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
So that came later after someone violated it. It's still
zero zero. Play some music, come.
Speaker 1 (14:48):

just a few questions left. All right, Fraser, Let's see
(15:31):
who gets on the board.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
All right. Presidential inaugurations are pretty lavish. But in nineteen
seventy three, President Nixon's inaugural ball was attended by an
uninvited guest. Which of these animals crashed the party? Was
it a dog, a chicken, a squirrel, or a Goat's courtney?
Speaker 2 (15:51):
The goat incorrect, greatest of all time?
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Incorrect?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
The chicken, I mean chicken?
Speaker 3 (15:57):
A squirrel incorrect? It was a chicken?
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Was it a chicken?
Speaker 3 (16:02):
It was random?
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Chicken. I thought a squirrel would be random because a doggy.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
A chicken escapes his enclosure during Richard Nixon's second inaugural
ball at the National Museum of History and Technology and
ran wild. It was a Dominican red rooster.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Actually, oh wow, So there you go, Latin chicken.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Okay, two more, here we go. Okay, who is the
current president.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Oh wait, I wasn't even your hand was your buzzer? Gosh?
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Go ahead, Donald Trump, that is correct. It is one.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
It's a zero, shady shady, I wasn't even ready.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Go on, and final question, which is worth two points,
so anyone can win. Who is the current vice president?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
That is Courtney?
Speaker 3 (16:47):
That is correct.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Three zero.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
