Speaker 4 (00:35):
Sonya Krawski, she was searching through some old stuff at
a discount store in November when she found something that
looked a little out of place.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
It was an orange.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Wave shaped piece of artwork that was sewed together with wire.
She thought it was really beautiful and unique and only
three point fifty three dollars and fifty cents, so she
got it.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
She got curious. She started looking it up.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
Turns out that an artist had worked three hundred hours
on this sculpture which got lost in the man on
the way to an art fair, and even though she
could have sold it for thousands, she returned it to
the artists for free.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Wow, that is such a sweet gesture by Sonia, because
you see so many of these stories where they found
something at a discount story, at yard sale and it's
like a Picasso that people didn't realize they had.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Like the Antiques Roadshow or whatever, people take stuff and
find out it's worth thousands of dollars or something.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Sometimes they're cocky about it and they think they've stumbled
on some and the guy's like, yeah, no, that's this
is John. This is John exactly complete trash More.
Speaker 1 (01:33):

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Forty eight seasons. That truly is incredible. That has to
be a record for a primetime reality show.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It must be.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
They're already talking about us Survivor fifty as well, and
like previewing some changes.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
That are going to come for that milestone.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
What a gig right there. And by the way, forty
eight different locations all over the world. That passport's got
to be impressive.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Apple TV Plus has the premiere of berlin Er.
Speaker 4 (02:13):

Speaker 3 (02:23):
And Hulu has this season four premiere of Schorzy.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
It's a spinoff of Letter Kenney, which is a Canadian

who goes to play hockey in Canada.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Of course it's about hockey in Canady. All right, Shorzy
All Mario Lopez, hope you're ready for the world premiere
of New Benson Boone Benson dropping his new song sorry
I'm Here for someone Else on us later this week.
We're gonna have it for you though this Friday. Just
tap your iHeartRadio app or hit up All Mario dot
com to find out you're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Time
(02:55):
to dish out some common sense, just as all rise.
Courtney's court is nounce session, so today's case comes from
at Tabitha Milan eight seven eight. She says, I'm a
bit of a loss. My best friend of almost thirty
years knew for at least twenty of those that I
had always planned to use a certain name for my
first child if it's a boy. Whenever that day comes, well,
not only does she just announce she's pregnant, but that
(03:16):
if it's a boy, she's using the name. I want
to confront her, but my husband says, don't. What should
I do because I'm honestly more hurt than mad Well,
Tabitha been there.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yeah, oh that's right.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Ooh.
Speaker 5 (03:31):
This is hard because she is your best friend for
almost thirty years, so I'm sure you have is your
wedding with her. You planned everything, you talked about everything,
and that's very, very hurtful. I mean, I would say
something before she follows through. What she ultimately ends up
doing is out of your control. To me, that would
(03:52):
I don't know if that would mean the end of
a friendship, but that's just that's a crappy thing to do,
I think.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Especially if you claimed it first. But here's a thing Tabitha.
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Nobody owns a name.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
But if you are best friends and you mentioned that
and you talked about that, then you have to honor that.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
But here's the thing, Tabitha, you say it once, if
she still goes through, fine, If you have a boy,
you still name it that boy. Absolutely, I guarantee you
your boy. Let's say his name is Bobby. Your Bobby's
going to be a hell of a lot cooler than
her Bobby. Trust me that.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Moore Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Coming up always something to celebrate, no matter how weird
to obscure more in Courtney Lopez. Here, what are we
recognizing today?
Speaker 5 (04:30):
Honey, we're recognizing the pistachio because it's National Pistachio Day.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I love a pistachio. I haven't had one in a while.
I used to think they were always read when I
was a kid, I didn't know really they were.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Well, they're died, right, they were dying.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
But I used to only see red pistachios back in
the day, and they would stain your fingers something awful.
But now the green ones are delicious pistachios.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Do you know why they did that?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I don't know why. It just meant more appealing. But
but the green ones tastes just as good, if not better.
But even know, if I've had red ones, all I
used to see was writing.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
I feel like I feel like when I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
That's all I saw too, I saw Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
You're all. Mario Lopez reminding you that the awards show
for fans is back twenty twenty five. I Heeart Radio
Music Awards coming to Fox March seventeenth. Huge night for
so many of our favorites. Lady Gaga will be honored

(05:25):
four and one thousand dollars spending cash. All you gotta
do Tap your Heart Radio app, then tap contest tab
to interfer your chance to win. You're all. Mario Courtney
Lopez making some more Oscar predictions later this hour. So
we're gonna go ahead and get today's birthdays. Fraser's got
the list. What do we got?
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Nate Russ from the band Fun we.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Are young, Well he's not young, anymore because he's now
hitting the fourth level forty.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Please don't ever sing again. But I was I loved it.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
I loved it you did, and I was like taken
aback by your vibrado.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
See that was not fun.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
He is what did you say?
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Forty forty forty one, forty three?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Erica Badou was actually the best I've heard you sound,
to be honest, Huh, I'm Erica.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
You should have heard in the headphones Badu is about no.
I sounded great in the headphones budget.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Erica Badou is fifty five. You got a bad better
than that. She is actually fifty one fifty four.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Okay, And someone who somehow in my life has been
a part of it for the last seven years randomly
way too much.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Michael Bolton, Oh, the slowest softest talker in the world.
Speaker 5 (06:41):
Yes, after you saying I need a Bolton now to
hear real fast, We're getting your plugs. Michael Bolton is sixty.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Seven seventy seventy two more.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Mario Lopez on the.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Way, Yah, Mario Lopez Biggest nine ninety seventh Daniel Academy
Awards coming up this weekend. An hour earlier too, four pm.
Pacific Standard time. I like that, and like we usually do,
we're making predictions each day in the week leading up
to Sunday. Yesterday we did supporting Actress and actor. What
are we doing to day?
Speaker 4 (07:15):
We'll do actress in a leading role and actor in
a leading role. Okay, First the ladies again, So for Wicked,
Cynthia Erivo, for Amelia Perez, Carla Sophia Gascon for Honora,
Mikey Madison, the substance Demi Moore, Sorry Demi, and I'm
still here for Nanda Torres.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
I think it's actually Demi Moore's to lose. She's been
having quite a run this Awards season and the fact
that she's been in the game for so long. It's
almost like a lifetime Achievement award and you haven't seen
her in this space. So if history proves itself correct
due to the SAG Awards and all the other ones,
(07:56):
I think she's the front runner.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
It's interesting.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
It's like the way the media is kind of pushing
the story about she's been in the game for so
long and she's never won, and how happy.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
She was to win the Golden Globe or whatever it was.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
It's almost like American Idol putting those packages together and
you're like, yeah, this person's clearly going through.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Right, It's exactly now. Cynthia Rivo, she was great in
that and she might pull off the upset. But I
think it's down to those two.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
And then actor in a leading role.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
Adrian Brody for the Brutalist, Timothy Chalomey for a complete unknown,
Coleman Domingo for seeing Singh Ray Fines for Conclave, and
Sebastian Stan the Apprentice.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, Sebastian Stan playing Trump. I'm actually surprised that he
got a lot of love for that, but good for him.
I think it comes down to Adrian Brody and Timothy
Chalomee Chalomey Upset and stop Brody's run of his Best
Actress sweeps at the Sack Awards last week. So we'll
see what happens with those two. But I definitely think
(08:51):
it's between those two.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Mario Lopez coming up, you're.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
All Mario, Courtney Lopez, Hondy, You're weird with Courtney's random thought.
What you got, honey?
Speaker 5 (09:00):
How is a plant not able to handle direct sunlight?
It's literally from the outside.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
That is a weird deal. I think those plants are
obviously naturally outside, but they die quick. So if you
want the plant to live a long time, you want
to keep it indoors and out of direct sunlight. So
there's indoor plants well, plants that will have a longer
shelf life.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
They just use the shade when they live outside.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yeah, exactly. Music rolls on, Mario Lopez, you're about to
fire up zoom. Get my longtime friend Melissa Joan Hart
on with us. She's got a new lifetime movie to
(09:46):
tell us about, also shooting a new holiday flick for Netflix,
and the speaking of holiday movies, our holiday movie has
a big anniversary coming up, so I ain't tight. Let's
talk about Melissa Jonehrt.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Next about Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Joining right now on my longtime friend, the Homie actress
and director, Melissa Joan Hard. How are you, Melissa?
Speaker 6 (10:06):
Good? What's up you?
Speaker 2 (10:08):
You know, one of the good things about social media
is you may not talk to everyone all the time,
but you get to keep up with them. So I
feel like I know everything that's going on with you
and the kids. The boys are getting so big, so
uh so yours, I know, I know, it's crazy. Congrats
you're in a new movie on Lifetime called Killing the Competition.
Oh looks pretty intense. So do you play a mom
(10:30):
that kidnaps another kid? Is that what happens?
Speaker 6 (10:33):
I can't tell you spoiler alert.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Come on, because I can see that.
Speaker 7 (10:37):
So I'm a mom who has a young girl and
uh like a teenage daughter and then a younger son
as she's sort of ignores.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
And it's really fun because.
Speaker 7 (10:46):
I get to dive into all the nuance of like
middle aged mom, like your kids are getting older and
kind of get your life's getting away?
Speaker 6 (10:55):
Do you want to?
Speaker 7 (10:56):
You know, you know you can see down the road
further than they can see, and you want the best
for them, so you're trying and direct their path, but
you're also like, you know, you want them to do
what you couldn't do, all those sort of things, and
then you know, you get a little you get a
little too.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Caught up in it and snap. You know, you know
you've snapped before, right.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Mario All the Time, Daily, Melissa, Hang Ti, We're gonna
take a quick break and come back with some more
Melissa Joan Hart.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
More fun on the Way On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Mario Lopez here again, back to Melissa Joan Hart who
was on Zoom with me New Lifetime movie Killing the Competition,
and Melissa, is this a true story?
Speaker 6 (11:31):
It's based on a true story. It is I love that.
Speaker 7 (11:33):
I don't know if I want to tell you the
true story, but a lot of people from the area
seem to know this story.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
So but it is a true story, lovel loosely.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
Based on a true story.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
So we took some liberties with it, and I mean
we had some fun. Like I'm a little nervous about.
Speaker 6 (11:46):
People seeing this movie because we took I mean it
So here's the thing.
Speaker 7 (11:52):
At first, I didn't want to be in this movie
because I was like, we've seen it, like we've seen
the Cheerleader Mom.
Speaker 6 (11:57):
That gets a little too you.
Speaker 7 (11:58):
Know, involved, right, But the more we played with it
and manipulated it a little bit and had some fun
with it, I mean, the truth is like the the
actual story is stranger than fiction. Like what happens is
absolutely absurd. So with the director's help, we've kind of
like leaned into it to make it like I don't know,
(12:20):
like we were kind of taking some some of the
like it Tanya like bizarreness.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Of it all. Yea if that makes sense, okay.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
And it could land somewhere between like shark Nado or Iton.
Like you know, I don't know where it's gonna like.
All right, audience is gonna love it, hate it, or
love to hate it, like I'm not really sure.
Speaker 6 (12:37):
But I love that we took some chances.
Speaker 7 (12:38):
I say some ridiculous stuff, I do some ridiculous stuff,
and though it's based on a.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
True story, so that's what kind of keeps it grounded.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Nice, nice, all right, we'll look forward to checking that out,
all right, Melissa, hang on a few more songs and
we're gonna come back and talk more, wouldn't Melissa, Melisa,
Joe and Hard hanging out on Zoom with us this hour.
You're al Mario Lopez, busy as ever a new Lifetime
and you're also working on a new Christmas movie for
Netflix called A Merry Little ex Miss. Are you directing
(13:07):
this one? Are you? Are you? Actually?
Speaker 6 (13:09):
I'm producing it and I'm playing a part in it.
Speaker 7 (13:12):
But it's fun just being the producer, being on set,
being the I guess kind of quality control of the story.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
I'm sort of like the protector of the story in
a sense.
Speaker 7 (13:20):
But yes, Alicia Silverstone, it's Oliver Hudson, it's Jamilagemill and
Pearson Fode. It's a it's a really fun cast. We're
having like a blast. And then Oliver Hudson's Sun Wilder
is in it as well, so it's fun to see
father son dynamic.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
That's fun.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (13:37):
So we're on set right now finishing up that one
for later on this year, and it's it's a fun one.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
It's we're in the deepest. So remember when we did
Holiday and.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Handcuffs, Well, funny that that was Calgary.
Speaker 7 (13:49):
That was Calgary twenty well, actually even further north of Calgary,
like more towards Band for Pants.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Was it was it? I know, I know we flew
into cant You know, it's funny that you mentioned that
because it's almost twenty years since we did that movie
and people are still coming up to me telling me
they love it. It's their favorite.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
It's still everyone's favorite Christmas Yea, I think it's so
absurdly funny.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
That's what I love funny Christmas movies.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Because I do too. I like funny Christmas movies. So,
so should we do a sequel or what I think
we should do a sequel?
Speaker 6 (14:19):
Well, how do I handcuff you again?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
We have to think of it seriously, though, come on
and Jay get all over it. Give it thought.
Speaker 6 (14:26):
I was gonna say, you write it and I'll do it,
all right.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Okay, I'll give it thought. I'll give it. That sounds
good fair enough for me.
Speaker 6 (14:31):
Together, you and I like we've.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Done a few. I know we work well. We got
to figure another one out, hank Ty. One more thing.
I want to ask a little more music and come
back and wrap it up, wrapping up with my buddy Melisa,
Joan r. You're all Maria Lopez. And before you go,
how old are the kids now?
Speaker 6 (14:46):
Nineteen's almost seventeen and twelve?
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Wow? Wow, they are big and is your oldest?
Speaker 6 (14:51):
If you saw.
Speaker 7 (14:52):
Mason who I had when we did holiday and handcuffs
that he was like a year old.
Speaker 6 (14:56):
He was exactly a year old whom we did holiday.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
If you saw him right now, that kid is a
is a beefcake.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Well, I see him all the time, all the good looking.
Speaker 6 (15:04):
Kids beast right now though he's in a he's in
a cut mode or a I don't know. He's in
his growth mold mode or his I don't know he's
like a weightlifter.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Oh that's cool, pilot, but he like, yeah, I say,
is he studying to be a pilot? Is that what
he wants to do? Oh, that's cool in aviation.
Speaker 6 (15:18):
But he's also like, right now just hitting the gym hard.
You'd be so proud.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Good for you. Oh, I can't wait to see them.
Speaker 7 (15:24):
Dang.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
It goes like quick, you're right, Okay, if I go
to Nashville and hit you up? How often do you
come to La?
Speaker 6 (15:30):
I don't anymore.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
It's so crazy, you don't at all. Huh.
Speaker 6 (15:33):

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yes I did. No, we're all good now, thank you.
But you come. Let me know. You can have a
place to stay as always Costa Lopez. We have room.
Speaker 6 (15:42):

just so I didn't have to rent a car.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
