Speaker 1 (00:00):

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go, Mario, Courtney Lopez here, back behind the
mic and back to work. A lot of radio fun.
Plan as he hang with you for the next few hours.
Gonna be Tame Tap Tip Tong from the season three
of White Lotus a little later.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Plus we'll play a fresh round of Name that Tune.
Catch you up on the buzz, and we're just a
few songs away from asking a random question. So turn
it up, you guys, here with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
All right at Old Mario on Facebook and acts at
Old Mario Lopez on IG Mario Lopez here. Love hearing
from your questions, comments, whatever you got which you find frasier.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
This is from at to Collette to quit funny. Have
you ever heard a rumor about yourself and actually wanted
to hear more like wow, then what did I do?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Oh? To collect to quit? Far too often, Yes, there's
some rumors obviously that aren't very nice and untrue. Then
there's some that they're not true, but they're kind of like, ooh,
a little complimentary. For example, there was a rumor a
few years ago that I was having this full blown

(01:03):
heated affair with Jessica Alba. What and did we cover
that in the bus? We did not cover in the buzz.
It's been a few years and it was not true.
But I was fascinated, I'm sure, and I was single
at the time. By the way, You're like, how is
it going with me and Jesson? Yeah, exactly, how is
it going with the Jessica? Jessica was supposedly sprung on me,
and I'm like, and I again, I was single.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
I don't think she.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Was, Okay, So yeah, thinks she was.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
So someone was trying to cause trouble.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I was the other man. But at the time it
was in tabloids and stuff. I'm like, Wow, not true,
but kind of cool.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
That's a compliment. A compliment.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Mario Lopez. We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez, and it's time for Courtney's
random question she got for us.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Honey, So would you have your left pinky finger removed? Okay,
hear me out. If you could receive fifteen thousand a
month for the rest of your life.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
You would have to add a zero, maybe another zero
to that for me to even consider.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
How often are you using your pinky other than when
you have tea.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
A lot more than you realize, especially when you're doing
jiu jitsu and you're making a fist as sparse. So
the things that I love to do, I would be hampered.
But I can learn to acclimate for one hundred and
fifty thousand a month. Fifteen thousand a month, No, one
hundred and fifty Perhaps.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
See right now, I'm rubbing your leg with all five fingers.
Can you feel me rubbing it with just four?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I feel a difference, a difference.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
More. Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (02:34):

Speaker 5 (02:59):
A Mario Lope.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
And if you're looking for a way to celebrate Flashback Friday,
maybe stop by seven eleven because they're bringing nineties punk
nostalgia with this new KerPlunk Candy grape slurpee created by
the guys in Green Day, inspired by cotton candy grapes.
I can't get over how much they taste like con candy,
and I've never been a cotton candy guy. Anyway, Green
Day apparently loves them. It's in the rider and it's

(03:22):
a slightly twisted tree. Available at seven eleven stores nationwide.
More music and fun coming your way, Mario Courtney Lopez here.
And with the weather getting warmer, finally, days are starting
to get longer. In fact, between now and June twentieth,
we're going to gain at least an extra hour of daylight.
So what are you going to do with those extra hours?
If you need some ideas? That question was asked on Reddit,

(03:44):
and responses included gardening, going for long hikes, walks with
your dogs. Someone said they're making their kids turn off
all their TVs, computers and phones and get outdoors. I
love that idea absolutely.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I make the kids go outside all the time, rain
or shot.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Our kids are pretty active. But it also does it
rain here a lot, so that helps. Yeah, but our
kids are pretty active and it's amazing how kids now
are just consuming their tablets and do not leave the
roos and the parents are happy that they're just not
bothering them. But you gotta try to break that comfortable
habit and make them go out and do a little
something physical.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
See, our kids are so physical that won their home
on the iPads and they're not bothering me.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, I don't know, You're exactly right.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
A Mario Lopez more music of an atchup, but quickly
making a digital pit stop at Onmuri dot com so
Fraser can tell us what's trending.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Ben Affleck revealing the one person who he credits with
keeping him sane in Hollywood. Oh only one, okay, the
only person, Only one person. Lord has officially announced our
comeback single, So you can check out everything we know
about what was that nice? And you can watch Victoria
Beckham hilariously roast to her husband David Beckham's fashion choices
over the years.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Oh, that should be pretty funny on Mario dot com
for all that more.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, quicker hit us upon one ig at old Mario
Lopez and click follow to join the fan by the way.
Ig is launching a video creation app called edits, and
it allows users to shoot and edit video features like
background replacement and automatic captioning. We're gonna get to the poin
where we can shoot a full movie on these apps.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
I am lucky. I can even open my phone.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Right Ah, Mario Lopez Frasier in studio with me. I'm
sure you've seen this all week already, but we got
to get to it. A question went viral this week
on the internet. It's so silly, but it is fascinating,
asking who would win if a hundred men took on
one silverback gorilla.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Here's the deal.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I've seen a chimpanzee, which is much smaller than a gorilla. Yes,
literally tear limbs from trees, and apparently have taken limbs
from people and from other chimps and from other chimps
and rip faces off of people. This is a chimpanzee,

(06:06):
they say. A silver back gorilla, which is significantly bigger,
has the strength of like fifty men. Okay, and when
cornered and felt threatened, the adrenaline strength goes up even more.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
I saw a video on Instagram of this woman was
at a zoo and there were two silver Back guerrillas
that got into a fight watching them beat on each other.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Man, dude, it's insane.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
It's it's you couldn't even pile on this gorilla and
hold it down.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
The whole that.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I realize the numbers, the sheer number of people. But
the problem would be but.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
That's problematic too, because you can't all get to it
at once.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
The problem would be he'd tear the arms off of
the first four people and start beating the next four
or five people with it, or just grab the first person, yes, exactly,
grab the first person and start ragged on him and
beating everything else. Who's willing to be infantry with this
gorilla here? Not me, No one's willing to be in
And I think people would be shocked. You think people

(07:03):
actually think they could do it if we get a
hundred of my home and there is zero chance you have,
and not only that, it being zero chance because the
key here was no weapons, right, no weapons. You cannot
pierce What are you gonna do? You can't punch and
kick this gorilla, You're not. There's solid muscle too, you
know how they're thick, they're standing exactly it. You're not
gonna hurt them with a hundred people. Even if you go,

(07:24):
You're not gonna hurt them. He's gonna explode with the
weight of the.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
People he's going to They are gonna be humans flying demolish.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Look everyone, it's not even close. The people that think
they could do it are bizarre. To be this gorilla.
It would be like a video game. It will feel
never gonna happen, never happened more.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Mario Lopez on the.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Way, You're a Mario Courtney Lopez. Two more songs and
then we're gonna fire off the zoom so we could
meet Tame Top Tip Tong. From season three to the
White Lotus.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
He played one of the only characters you could really
root for. Actually, him and his co star are my
favorite guy. Talk back with Tame Tuptim Tong after top
of the hour, what's.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Up your own?

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Mario Lopez joining me right now? From the third season
of White Lotus, actor Tam tacked Tim Tong, how are you, man.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
I'm good, Thank you, thank you for having me, thank
you for.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Taking the time. First of all, you crushed it as
a guide talking in White Lotus, and I thought, thank
you very much. That storyline, in particular, you and the
young lady you had a crush on that was that
was in romantic and and fun. I gotta imagine you
had a blast working on that set.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Oh yeah, it's it's just been Oh man, I don't
even know what it thought. It's just been amazing. Ever
since I got constant for guy talking, everything just changed,
you know, like this my whole life, my whole world
just changed for the better, I guess. And it's just,
you know, the whole experience, you know, being in four
seasons with all these other amazing actors that I've watched,

(09:08):
you know, from a from from a young age, and
to get to be in a hotel with them for
like seven months and work with them, it was it
was amazing. I actually had no I had no bad moments.
I really enjoyed every moment of it. And I'm still
enjoying it right now.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I bet all right, hang on, last more to talk
about with Tame Tap Tip Tong. But first more music.
Getting back to Tame Tap Tip Tong from The White Lotus,
You're on Mario Lopez and tam I love your character art.
He really had a great way to wrap up the series.
Uh at in the last episode, and and he came

(09:45):
through in this sort of heroic fashion and ended up
being a driver. And it looks like you got the
girl and you were going soft on me, but you
manned up when you needed to.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
Yeah, did you know the way.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
The show is going to end from the beginning or
did they the writers? Did Mike reveal it like as
it went on?

Speaker 1 (10:05):
No.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
So when I first received the script, I read through
it the whole thing, and you know, it was just
amazing to see that ending for my character, because you know,
in the beginning, you know, as I was reading the script,
I was always trying to sort of picture sort of
just like the scene, you know, and sort of how

(10:27):
I am throughout the whole thing. And you know, it
wasn't until the very end that it got me so
excited because it meant that my character has like a
kind of a full arc, you know, like starting from
being like this kind of smiley guy all the time
who's just got a massive crush on on Mook and
you know, slowly, as you know, has he when he

(10:48):
loses the gun, when he's trying to find it, when
he gets it back. I just really enjoyed sort of
going through all those layers with that character and then
to finish it off at the end with that bang.
It was just it was so satisfying for me, and.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
It was really about the only one you could get
behind and root for is everybody else that's going on,
you know, there really was. It was an alter your motives.
You had a crush and you wanted to do the
right thing, and so it was great. I'm so glad
they ended it like that, not in a negative negative
Tam hang on for me quick break. We're gonna come
back with White Lotuses Team Tap Tip Tongue.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Mario Lopez got Tam Taptip Tonge from the White Lotus
on Zoom. And you're also starting this upcoming Hulu series
Alien Earth, and it's actually a prequel to Yes, it's.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Right, it is, so I think it takes place before
even the original Alien happens, but it's you know, it's
the first one out of the whole franchise that takes
place on Earth, so you know, it's there's a lot
of excitement there. But you know what happens when an
alien gets released on Earth? You know, Yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Right, hang on a few more songs and we're gonna
back with the actor tape. Catch it up with actor
Tame Tip Tip tong for the White Lotus this hour.
You're on Mario Lopez. So Tame, you're born and raised
in England? Are you by ethnicity?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Tie?

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Though, yes, both my parents are Tie. They just went
to work in England or you know, back when they
were younger, and then just stayed there. Got it.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yeah, because I was going to say, you've spoken fluently
very well on the show.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Yeah. You know, it's funny because I think a discussion. Yeah,
I have a discussion with my with my manager, and
he was saying that, you know, I'm really trying to
you know, the reason I'm getting you to do so
many general meetings with all these people in LA right
now is because I have a feeling that people must

(12:47):
believe that you talk like how guys talks English.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Right, you know, that's a testament to your acting.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
But you're right, Yeah, thank you. Yeah, I mean I
really worked on that because at first I was kind
of cringing at myself of sort of sort of speaking
like a more broken English or tie. People call it tinglish.
So took It took a few practices in front of
the mirror to get to to not my you know,

(13:14):
not be cringing at myself. So I'm glad. I'm glad
it was that convincing to people. But yeah, it's nice
to let people know that this is how I speak.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
No exactly, exactly good pipes, all right, man, hang on
a little more music, come back with TI wrapping up
with Team Tapped to Ton from the White Lotus. Mario
Lopez here and I saw you work at cella man
supporting your coaster, Lisa. But yo, you got pipes yourself. Man,
I heard you singing a little no diggity yeah, is
that is that?

Speaker 4 (13:43):
I mean?

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Were you just messing around it? Singing something you pursued,
something you always wanted to doing.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
Singing music to me is something that's very dear to me.
It started off with just me singing to myself in
the shower and it's at home. I never actually thought
I turned into a career. And so I came to
Thailand and entered this competition and that was that was
in twenty and thirteen where I entered this. It was

(14:13):
like a half Big Brother, half x Factor competition in Thailand.
That's a wild premise. It was crazy to like go
back to Thailand. Within a year, I was in this
in this competition, right and it you know, I came
second in the end, and I got like a five
to five year like contract with this record label. But

(14:35):
I'm really into R and B and blues, you know,
in hip hop, and to sing R and B in
Thailand at the time at least, it just wasn't a
thing like it. Just there just wasn't a market for it.
So they try to make me do rock and like
like T pop, you know, a type hop, but I
just wasn't feeling it. So you know, that's where I

(14:56):
shifted heavily to acting, and I'm glad I did because
you know, it led to this. But music has always
been a big part of me. So even when I
was in the military here and during basic training, there
was no music. The only music you ever hear was
the national anthem in the morning. And that's why I
made me realize, I can't, I can't, I can't live

(15:16):
without music. So I would be singing to myself, humming
to myself as I'm doing all this training running, and yeah,
that's why we really realized I need to. I need
to also do music as well. So I'm really glad
that that no Diggity clip went viral because it just
really gave me another shot to do music here in

(15:37):
the US, where R and B and blues is actually
you know, really lightd. So I can't wait to do
some music here. And yeah, I've already met with a
few music producers and we're trying to work on something
good for you. Man.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
I like your style, brother, I like your style. Congratulations,
I'm so happy.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
