Lopez back to hang with you for the next few hours.

and more so, turn it up. You're on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
You're a Mario Lopez. You know.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
The other day we broke down that list the New
York Times put together of the one hundred best films
of the twenty first century. Well, I'm guessing that not
going to be updating that list to add the new
Eva Longoria ice Cube. War of the Worlds the remake
is out now on Amazon Prime and people cannot stop
talking about it, but for all the wrong reasons. The
movie and I've actually never seen this, got a perfect

(00:48):
zero on Rotten Tomatoes record breaker. I mean, hey, you
make an history. I guess viewers are calling it the
worst movie of the year, all right. The reviews and
the comment section are savage too in the memes are
just relentless. The best part the tagline for the movie
is It's worse than you think. Come on, that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Omaro Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (01:12):

Kevin Your Ways Frazier breaks down what's new on TV
and streaming. Truck Dynasty on Discovery, the series premiere of that.
The show centers on Apocalypse Manufacturing, a Florida based company
owned by Joe and Ashley Gattus, which specializes in creating
extream custom truck builds. Ooh so like Duck Dynasty, but

(01:57):
what trucks?

Speaker 5 (01:58):
I guess it's kind of like, uh, what was it, pit,
my ride, Pit, my ride with trucks? Okay, yeah, it
sounds like that chef grudge match over on Food Network
series premiere. Basically, you've got a competition hosted by Laila
Ali featuring rival chefs who set a long standing professional
and personal dispute to a single round, head to head battle.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
That's funny. Chefs that have grudges. Interesting.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
And finally, Alien Earth on FX and Hulu the series premiere.
It's the prequel series set in twenty one to twenty
where a research vessel crashes on Earth, unleashing alien creatures
and setting off a conflict between rival Mega corporations Wayland
Utani and Prodigy Very sci.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Fi del mar A Lopez just mentioned that the new
Alien preak willis premiers and that on FX and Hulu.
And I remember we talked about this show a little
bit when The White lotuses tame Tim Tom who played
the security guard in the most recent season. Real nice guy.
He was on with us earlier in the year. Here's
a little of what he said when I asked him
about Alien Earth being a prequel.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
So I think it takes place before even the original
Alien happens, but it's you know, it's the first one
out of the whole franchise that takes place on Earth,
so you know it's there's a lot of excitement there.
But you know what happens when an alien gets released
on Earth?

Speaker 5 (03:18):
You know?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Oh, next level self?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Right there?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Omrio dot com from my food chat with Tam and
a trailer for his new FX show Alien Earth.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
More Mario Lopez coming up, Mario.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Lopez ear music rolls on after some quick buzz. Another
Airbud movie is in the works. Believe it or not,
searches on for a purebred Golden Retriever to play the
famous basketball play and dog. Airbud dot Com has taken
submissions in all Entrants will be eligible to win prizes
like a trip to the movie's Hollywood premiere. Of Airbud
Returns movies set to be released sometime next summer, which

(03:51):
will be almost thirty years since the original was released.
Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's been thirty years.
I remember vividly when that came on.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Can I tell you something I've never seen? Airbud Classic.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Gotta get into it. Meanwhile, let's get back to the music.
You're al Mario Lopez reminding you to download the free
iHeart Radio apps. You never miss a second of radio
fun listen on demand, or a daily replay podcast or
our interviews podcast featuring exclusive stuff you never hear on
the air. Just tap your iHeart Radio app and search
on with Mario Lopez for all that, plus new iHeart

(04:23):
Radio featured podcasts. You gotta check out Hoax, digging into
why so many people believe things that aren't true In
an air filled with fake news and social mediaized Hoax
explores the craziest tricks in history and why people let
themselves get fooled. I think they just want to believe
stuff We'll have to see. Just open the free iHeartRadio
app and search hopes to listen. I'm Mario Lopez digging

(04:47):
into the buzz because we're already hearing rumors about who
may play the super Bowl halftime show on.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
So just getting into preseason games and there's already talk
about whom I play the super Bowl halftime show in February. Hanson, Okay,
that's a different choice. In fact, some people are even
placing bets on It seems like you can bet on
anything and everything these days. Anyway, one betting site listed
the twenty three most likely acts to headline Super Bowl
sixteen February. We got Rapper jay Z who is most likely.

(05:17):
He's also I believe involved. He's in charge of it
with the NFL and helping to select, So that doesn't
seem fair. You can't choose yourself, Yeah, that seems like
it's cheating, followed by Post Malone, who I think is
not only an awesome choice, but has got a pretty
big catalog now and he's hot at the moment. He's
been hot for a while.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
He might be one of the most talented people as well,
because if you've ever heard him do his covers of
Nirvana songs and all the other genres, it's pretty insane.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
He can check off a lot of boxes if he
does the halftime show. Miley Cyrus and Bad Bunny okay, okay,
And as far as rock acts, they're a long shot,
but Metallica is given the best chance, being that the
band formed in the Bay Area and the super Bowl
is in northern California. This year, they came in fifth place.
An Oasis and food fighters.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
All these are not a bad list.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
All right for Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
All Mario Lopez, reminding you now that the kids are
heading back to school. Mine go back next Tuesday, which
is kind of weird, not on Monday, but Tuesday. Anyway,
we want to say thank you to all the teachers
who go above and beyond. We truly appreciate you and
all you do in and out of the classrooms. So
join us and thank a teacher today. And they could
even get five thousand dollars to stock their classroom this fall,

(06:31):
powered by donors Choose. So help us say thank you
to the educator shape in our future on my dot
com slash teachers to nomin eight years.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Music rolls on Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Here Gortney stepped out for a minute, so Fraser stepping
in to share a life hack with us.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Any hints we're gonna talk about dealing with stress.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I'm gonna pay attention. All right, back with today's hacking
ten first, more.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Music, all Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Back to the music in a sack first though, Fraser
filling in over in Courtney's corner with the life back
and we're talking about stress, right.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Yes, the next time you're feeling stressed here's what you do.
You find something to laugh at, and there's plenty to
laugh at in the world. A new study says that
laughter therapy is actually no joke. They always say laughter
is the best medicine. Yes, well, there are lots of
programs out there like laughter yoga, what there's hospital clowns
that literally go around and try to make patients laugh
so that they feel better. The study says it also

(07:23):
works on babies and maybe even some animals. Laughter programs
are sometimes used to also lower workplace anxiety and by
schools with special needs students because it kind of takes
away the tension and the difficulties.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
I absolutely agree with this.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Laughter is incredibly healthy and there's so many benefits, and
not to mention, it keeps you young. That's why I
was excited to kind of start my new comedy show
Way out Loud, where we'll be debuting this next month
every week at the Laugh Factory with Hot Up and

(07:59):
Coming com Mix, and then we'll start traveling and going
all over the country. So I'm excited about that.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Mario's got a solid ten minutes worked out.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
I got my opening act worked out. I'm essentially sort
of hosting, but it's really about these young comics. So
there we go. This is good news.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Maar Lopez, keeping the music coming at you, fras you're
making it weird with a random thought. What you got?

Speaker 5 (08:22):
You know, pickles are always pretty good unless you're in one.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
It's true, that's true. I don't know why they say
you're in a pickle.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
I don't either.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
How did that?

Speaker 5 (08:29):
I don't know how that started it as a weird,
like weird phrase.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
I would imagine it should be you're like a pickle,
his pickles are trapped in that jar. True, so that
I would think you're more like a pickle, not in
a pickle. In a pickle, you'd be what a cucumber? No,
that's afterwards.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Well, no, that's before, that's before, that's before. That's that's
pretty pickle pre pickle is q coumban.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah, it should be you're like a pickle, not you're
in a pickle, because if you're like a pickle, you're
in a jar chilling in some funky juice.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
What a Mara Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (09:09):

the mean time, Fraser's got today's obscure holiday. What are
we celebrating today?

Speaker 5 (09:37):
National Middle Child Day?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Oh, shout out to my son Dominic, our middle child.
He is our most emotional one. But maybe that has
something to do with him being a meddle child all
but also probably I don't want to say the most
talented one has got the most going on, so he
bounces it all out, all right, Nico, Happy National Middle
Child Day. A Mario Lopez for today's celebrity birthday shoutouts.

(10:02):
Fraser's got the list. I'm gonna try to guess the ages.

Speaker 5 (10:04):

Speaker 2 (10:41):

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Mario Lopez will be right back to.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Bromar Courtney Lopez. Time for one last thing.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
And yesterday I kind of briefly mentioned this, but I
am very proud of myself. I have culinary skills that
I was not aware of. I attempted to cook an
exotic dish that was the lengua, which is aka disgusting
cow tongue tacos. They're incredible. It's a delicacy. And my buddy,
who lives on a farm, brought me a cow tongue,

(11:16):
freshly cut cow tongue vacuum sealed the course. When he
came to visit me recently and I brought it. My
wife refused to cook it because it's a live tongue.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
No, and I don't care to so the tongue, it's
a huge tongue.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
I googled the recipe, I got my croc pot, I
got all my ingredients, and it was a five to
six hour procedure procedure. That's what I said. It was
a five or six hour procedure. And it turned out excellent,
and it was so succulent. I crushed six tacos right
off the top, and then I had it for breakfast
the next day with some eggs Oh my gosh, it

(11:52):
is next level, and then with the green susa and
the homemade corn tortillas. By the way, crockpot incredibly underrated.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
More Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
That's it. Thanks so much for hanging out with us.
More fun.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Tomorrow we're gonna serve up some fresh justice and Courtney's
Court and more till then. Mario Lopez saying good night.
