a few of the new things on TV and streaming.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Netflix began streaming the third season of The Diplomat. In
season three, Kate played by Kerry Russell, becomes the US
Vice President under the new President, Grace Penn, a role
that she never wanted.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
So I had Karrie Russell on my show Access Daily
the other day, and it's funny because she's been in
some great projects, and it seems like her hair or
the style of her hair always upstages her great work.
It's like her co star. I guess she cut it
and fans started going a little crazy, or she wears
(01:06):
it a certain way on the show. And I remember
back in Felicity, she cut it really short without telling anyone,
and people were really freaked out. It's wild. It's because
she's a good actress and the fact that her Harro
gets so much love over her work, that's it overshadows,
overshadows the work.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
But she's an incredible actress when she was in the Americans.
That show and the Diplomat, by the way, are great.
The Americans, though, that's when you got to go back
and watch like five seasons incredible.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, but you know, her wig gets all it does
it does.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Peacock premiering the new limited series Devil in Disguise John
Wayne Gacy, a scripted limited true crime series that follows
the investigation into serial killer John Wayne Gacy in the
nineteen seventies. A story is told through the perspectives of victims,
their families, and the detectives who pursued Gaysey, rather than
focusing solely on Gaysey himself.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Peacock's really leaning into crime.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
I like it, and CBS says the second season of
Georgie and Mandy's first marriage, as well as season five
of Ghosts.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
All right, got some more October sixteenth birthdays to celebrate. Shortly,
what up, Mario Lopez, You're lots more headed your way
as well. In the meantime, any obscure holidays to celebrate Frasier.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
It's a National Dictionary Day. Used to carry one, didn't you.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Well no, I didn't carry it, but I had it
on my nightstand when I would read because I could
not go on if I didn't know what a word meant.
And now I do the same thing. But I don't
have the dictionary because you have your phone. You ever phone,
you just look it up either just whatever exactly. And
there's also a game I play with my mom and
a lot of my friends. It's a word game called
(02:34):
bally b a l I. Oh yeah, really cool. It's
like scrabble, but I think better because you can start
from the middle. You can steal words, and you really
need a dictionary event almar Lopez quickly squeezing in today's
celeb birthday shout outs. As always, Fraser's gonna list him off.
I'm gonna try to guess the ages.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
John Mayer.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
John Mayer has got himself a new social media influencer
girl friend Dozy seventeen years his junior. Yes, at least
that's the rumor out there. John Mayer is coming in
in forty eight. Yes he is.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
And you know that probably because you just said seventeen
years his junior, which meant you probably hurt his age somewhere.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
I did not. I'm honest, okay, honest, all right.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Wendy Wilson from Wilson Phillips, Brian Wilson's daughter.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Because Wilson Phillips was nineties, right, so I'm thinking she's
got it. Was it in the nies?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
No, no, Wilson Phillips was like late eighties, early nineties.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I think. Wow, okay, I was thinking, okay, And then
she's got to be fifty two.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Fifty six, fifty six Flee from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Wow, that's definitely nineties. Flee's got to be fifty six
as well.

Mario Lopez here at Cordo, not here Todavid Fraser In's studio,
So we can break down this list of the one
(04:41):
hundred greatest horror movies of all time. This according to Variety.
They put this list together. All right, Fraser, we are
some of the more notable movies on this list.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Well, we'll just go through some of the movies in the
top twenty. At twenty Get Out from twenty seventeen.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah, that had a bit of a phenomenon to it.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Actually, The Mummy from nineteen thirt forty two, the original Mummy,
not that Brendan Fraser Mummy, going way back for the
Tom Cruise Mummy, that's true. The Shining nineteen eighty at
eighteen ooh, classic Red run at sixteen, Halloween the original.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
I'm actually surprised that's not higher.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Silence of the Lambs is thirteen from nineteen ninety one.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
I don't know if I consider that a horror movie.
That's more of a thriller, Yeah, spense thriller.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
I kind of thought it was the same, but they
included it. King Kong the original nineteen thirty two that
lands at twelve.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Come on, that's not a horror movie either.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
I don't think so. God, those are more like monster movies.
That's a which is different than a horror movie.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
But exactly.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
And then Alien at eleven from nineteen seventy nine with
Sigourney Weaver.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
I hesitate because that horror movie too. We got to
think of what the criteria.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
That feels like another sort of thriller.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Sci fi side movie to me, exactly.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
But variety for whatever reason, it's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
A horror movie. Al Right, I want to see what
made the top ten. We're going to take a quick
break and then come back to this list of the
one hundred greatest quote horror movies of all time.

of the one hundred greatest horror movies of all time
this hour. All right, Fraser who made the top ten?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
All right?
Speaker 3 (07:04):
So a few of the notable ones carry it? Ten
from nineteen seventy six.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Now that's a good horror movie. That's old school.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
This one is more of a monster classic monster film
Frankenstein at number eight, But that definitely.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Qualifies I mean monsters, yeah, monster horror. I think that
that goes together when you start getting a sci fi
or crime thrillers.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Yeah, yeah, the thrillers can be confusing. But that one
from nineteen thirty one, of course, not in Living Dead
at number six. That's nineteen sixty.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Eight, and I tell you, one of the scariest movies
ever for me, just the visual of the people rising
from the dead out of the graves, starting to chase
you and it being in black and white, it even
made it scary. That was about all of the versions
of Night of the Living Dead, even when they did
the remake in the eighties. Yeah, it was bad too.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
It's good to know that. Keep making note of that.
Nichols and get afrayd of zombies. It's weird because just
that particular movie, because you saw them rise.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, and with it being in black and white, it
does make it creepier for some reason. Rosemary's Baby nineteen
sixty eight. That' number five again.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Another like suspense thriller, but a good movie nonetheless.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Jaws nineteen seventy five.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
And now that's not horror.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
That's a thriller, right.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
That's a thriller.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
That's not horror. Come on, Psycho nineteen sixty at three.
That's more of a thriller too, because it's a killer.
It's like he's a killer.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
The Exorcist nineteen seventy three at number two. Your grandfather
played this on loop for you as a child.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
That qualifies too. That's definitely scary. That's all the yes.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
And number one from the year after you were born,
the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Absolutely, and it looked like a home video is on
a true story. So that's terrifying.

and now he just brought it to my attention, all right.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
And now he's letting us know that those quotes we
didn't know about are not real.
Speaker 2 (08:58):

So Fraser stepping up and filling in in Quardo's corner.
What are we talking about today?
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Tips for a better morning? Oh if you sometimes wake
up stressed out thinking about everything you have to tackle
in the day ahead, it can ruin your day and
make things go bad. But these are three things to
focus on first thing in the morning so that your
day actually goes well. According to time management experts, do
some easy household tasks to get your brain warmed up,
but nothing too difficult or stressful.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, I'm stressed out now. I'm gonna clean Okay, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I wake I wake up stressed out about the day,
and I vacuum.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Now now I'm depressed.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Don't start scrolling through the news first thing. That's too
much negativity to start your day, and.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
You'll get carried away and maybe lose track of time.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Yeah, and then you end up laying in bed with
a bedrot. Thing that the gin Z kids are into.
And always start your day thinking about how you'd like
to finish it. That way, you have a goal or
something to look forward to at the end.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I like that. I try to do that. Nice.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Poor Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I am Mario Lopez. Your music rolls on. After some
quick food buzz, we've got a new frozen pizza chant.
Simple Recipes put together a panel of food experts to
determine the best frozen pizza in the freezer ail right now.
Interesting in the winter, Screaming Sicilian Yes was crowned as
the best brand, with particularly high scores for the company's
Holy Pepperoni. However, the panel said that the best supermarket
(11:20):
pizza is really whichever one you're in the mood for
in the moment. Oh, they were diplomatic, adding some Knights
call for something lousy but intensely nostalgic when that reminds
you of after school snacks or a bowling alley snack bar.
I haven't had a night like that. I like a
good little pizza. Oh, Mario Lopez, a little more music.
(11:40):
They're gonna ask a random question in the meantime. Frazer's
going to try to make us think with a random thought,
what you got?
Speaker 3 (11:45):
What if dogs didn't really lick us to show affection.
But it's really because they know we're filled with bones
and they're just trying to get to them.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Ooh, that's heavy, that's deep. I read something the other
day that dogs basically have the intelligence of your average
two year old child. Yes, which your average two year
old you always have to take care of, You always
have to change. It's it's that constantly having a toddler.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Yeah, you actually said this a long time ago, that
having a dog is like having a toddler that never
grows up and learns to do anything for themselves.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
And it's true, it's absolutely true. And toddlers you know
nothing but love. So I don't think dogs want anything.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
But.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
You're a Mario Lopez Corno is still all out to
Fraser's filling in and asking a random question, what do
you got?
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Would you rather be haunted for fifty seven minutes once
a month by a ghost who relives your most embarrassing
childhood memory or be forced to relive your worst nightmare
for fifty seven seconds every single night?
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Oh, the worst nightmare for fifty seven seconds every night.
That's only a minute. That's under a minute, and you're
also sleep and it wouldn't be so scary after a while.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Yeah, probably you might get used to it.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah, fifty seven minutes is a long time and you're
dreading it, and it would be.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
But it's like it's just like done once a month.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
No, I know, but then you know it's coming, and yeah,
fifty seven seconds is not bad. I just like boom
and then say my prayers and go to bed.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yeah, Mario Lopez returns after this.

of safeguard.
