Speaker 2 (01:19):
Every congratulations on myri dot com for all that miss
Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
And the other day, we broke down a list of
the most haunted states in America.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
That particular list ranked New York as.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
The most haunted state. But I think we found a
more legit list in ranking system. The other one only
based theirs on average ghost siding reports. This one includes
haunted locations, abandoned buildings, unsolved murders, number of ghost towns, cemetery,
and ghost siding. So it's much more all encompassing, much
more legitimate list. All right, honey, break down the top Five's.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
A legitimate ghost list.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
This is legitimate because number five is my home state
of Pennsylvania.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Pennsylvania sounds like it's just creepy.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
It's Transylvania.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
It's close to Transylvania. Isn't the Salem No, that's in Boston.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
But what is that in Philly?

Speaker 5 (02:12):
What is that weird prison that's in the middle of
Philly that's like scary that it's been there since like
the eighteenth I went.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
There, I went there through. I went to a haunted house.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
You can tour it around like I went there. There's
a penitentiary that used to be used there, went there.
It's terrifying.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Yeah, it is terrifying. So there was the person I
went with. He was terrifying. Number four is Florida.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Florida is Florida. I don't think it was more wacky, Yeah, yeah,
a little wacky, I don't.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Is there a lot of ghost sightings? Florida seems too
sunny to be But you well, we said that about
California too. That's true. I did.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
That's why I an agreement with that.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
And because it is sunny, ghosts are so pale. I
don't feel like they're outside a lot they should. Number
three is West Virginia.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
See West Virginia which is close to Pennsylvania. That sounds
pretty Civil War ghosts.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Number two Michigan.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I can see Michigan. I can see Michigan being creepy,
all right.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
And number one coming in the top spot is Nuevo.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Mexico, New Mexico.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
I've been to Santa Fe. It's creepy for people that
there were creepy as well.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Here's the thing about New Mexico, because that was the
state where there was a lot of first there. Remember
the first church, the first cemetery, the lot of first Yeah,
and so I think a lot of drama happened there.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Oh yeah, and uh it.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Did not bode well for the state. It seems scary.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
It's scary there.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Mario Lopez returns.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
After this music rolls on, after a quick look at
the buzz Mario Lopez here. You may remember that viral
video of Gordon Ramsay holding two slices of bread over
a Hell's kitchen contestant's ears, screaming who are you and
the woman yelling back an idiot sandwich.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Became a great meme, a great meme. It was just wow.
Well he's turned it into a cookbook filled with more
than one hundred sandwich recipes. You may remember he also
did a YouTube competition series called Idiot sandwich. New cookbook
is already available Onlinmaryo dot com to find out more.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
And I hope he cooked up that poor woman who
he humiliated.

Speaker 2 (04:14):

Speaker 2 (04:59):
His movies are gonna be much stronger than mine. I'm
gonna tell you right, now.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
We are proud of him. He's been in New York
now for a few weeks. He'll be there a few more.
And his little brother was saying he misses him yesterday,
and it's one of those things like he's gonna miss
Halloween with his friends. He's really bummed about that Horror
Nights where we went here at Universal Studios. He's bummed
about that. But I said, hey, listen, you get to
make a movie. I know, a horror movie at that

(05:23):
So he'll be time for all that all that later.
But it's hard to understand that when you're on you're little.

Speaker 4 (05:29):

Speaker 2 (06:16):
You know.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Full disclosure, I was reluctant to embrace crocs. I've still
never worn them really in publics, but I do tool
around in them around the house.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
They see you wear them here.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Sometimes that's because I've come straight from jiu jitsu, okay,
and that doesn't count.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
That's not the jeweling around the house, I know, But
that's because I went to the well, I went to
the gym and.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I couldn't put on I forgot my regular shoes and
so I don't want to walk around barefoot. So yeah,
by necessity it's okay, but not in pos they are comfy.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
I will give them that they are, but they aren't.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
It's weird.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
I've never I've never worn them ever.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I put the kids on to run the dogs out,
and I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Really, maybe it's like your easy access slipping it out.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Maybe I need to put them in sport mode.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yes, so stupid.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Al Mario Courtney Lopez not for some celebrity birthdays. Praser

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Who do we got from Game of Thrones?

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Amelia Clark Calisi is coming in at thirty eight forty
thirty nine.

Speaker 5 (07:15):

Ryan is forty eight forty nine. Come on, that's crazy.
We flank them all the time.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Where do Al Yankovic? Just eat it? Just eat it?
Parody songwriter performer? What was it?

Speaker 6 (07:40):
What?

Speaker 2 (07:41):
White?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Nerdy?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
White nerdy? I thought it was white and horny.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
That is white and nerdy.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
That was the original draft. Changed it. He's got to
be coming in at sixty three.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Now he's sixty six.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Sixty six is correct? Wow?

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Almost sixty more.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Mario Lopez coming up, Corney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Time for that yearly reminder to wash our hands. Coal
and flu season is here, and the CDC says regularly
washing your hands can help reduce the spread of germs,
including respiratory illnesses by up to twenty one percent.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
For there people that didn't know this or do this.
You have to remind people. You really do have to
remind people.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
The Cleveland Clinic says that means after a cough, sneeze,
bathroom us, handling food, taking out the garbage, being out
in public. Effective hand washing takes at least twenty seconds
at the very least. Get one of those little hand sanitizers.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, you can have it with you. That helps.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
This is up there with reminding people to not leave
pets in the car when it's hot outside, Like do
we have to Why we have to remind children?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (08:42):
I will leave children and my children too.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Putting a couple of things together here as National Croc
Day or Crocs Day. And in the movie Idiocracy where
everyone was so stupid that the world fell apart, the
shoe they chose for all the people to wear was crocs. Wow,
because they thought there's no way it'll ever be popular,
and then years later it was. So we're actually living
in idiocracy.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
All right, Let's get back to the music, y'all.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Maril Courtney Lopez music rolls on, so get ready to
make a stop into Cordo's Corner.

into Cordo's Corner, Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Here, what are we talking about today?

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Honey, the perfect pre workout snack. That was your clue,
and here we go. If you need a boost of
energy before you hit the jam, which I need it
before and after, forget those energy bars. Experts say, grab
a banana. I've been doing this unconsciously, like this is
what I do.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I don't like the bar. Conscious you'd be in the
doing this. No, I'm a lot subconsciously. Actually, maybe she's
doing it unconsciously too, might do it.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
You know, I know a lot of things.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I'm not aware how many I've been doing this in constantly.
You've been sleepwalking grabbing bananas.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I to grab a banana, although I'm very conscious and
when I do it.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Okay, diititians say they're loaded with potassium, vitamin B, six,
vitamin C and more. Or you can get creative with
them to add them to cereal or oatmeal, peanut butter,
toast smoothies or just peel any you know what our
daughter has been doing, what putting them in the freezer
and then just eating them like that.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
That's kind of tasty.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
It's very good.

Speaker 2 (10:37):

Cordo's Corner, we talked about the perfect pre workout snack
being a banana. Well, you might be surprised what health
experts are saying is the perfect post workout snack.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Forget I know what it is. Is it a banana?

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Forget smoothies, forget all that. They're saying chocolate milk. What
is an excellent post workout drink?

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Is your dad working out in the middle of the night.
I know. Maybe here's why.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
The carbs in the natural protein combo from both the
milk and the sugar and the carbohydrates replenish the glycogen
that you have worked out all right, and it's great
for muscle repair. Also, they're saying that chocolate milk hits
the ratio perfectly post workout in the electrolytes and hydration.
It contained sodium, potassium, and fluids that help you read
hydrate and not to mention, it's easier and cheaper than

(12:27):
most protein shakes. I thought it was a joke and
I initially read it, and I kept seeing it everywhere
in legitimate sources.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I'm like, you know what, I'm must start going with chocolate.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
Well, we have it all the time because Dominic loves
it too, So I'm just what if we add protein to.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
The chocolate milk, then I guess you're you're getting extra protein. Yeah,
you could do that, but you get.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
A banana pre workout, chocolate milk post chocolate, You're good
to go.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Chocolate covered banana stop.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Next level.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
I'm Mario Courtney Lopez. More music and a sec But first,
we got some new dictionary words. In fact, five thousand
new words. You heard me, right, I don't even know
if I know five thousand.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Words just in general.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Merriam Webster is adding five thousand new words to its
collegiate dictionary, including doom, scroll, dumb phone, and.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
W f H. It's not really a word, more of
an acronym.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
But what does that mean?

Speaker 6 (13:19):
Work from work from home?

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (13:21):
God?

Speaker 5 (13:21):
It remember fifth Harmony is saying about it, You've got
to work Work Work, Work from Home.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
W f h W Well, the publisher announced this week
it was revising and reimagining its twelfth edition, Well twenty
two years later after its last update. Other editions include
Cold Brew, Riz Dad, Bod Hard Pass, and Cancel Culture.
Really Okay, Well, in.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Case people want to know what it means, now you
can actually look it up. Another look at the buzz
coming up at first?

Speaker 6 (13:53):
Got to get back to the music.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Mario Courtney Lopez here, keep you the music coming your way.
Right after, Quardo tries to make a sele with another
mom joke, all right, let's see it.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
What you got?

Speaker 4 (14:03):
God, You've made me so nervous to do these. Now
I might quit this segment.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
You might be opening up on way out to be
open minded, that's right, but you could open up on
way out loud. New comedy show with the Laugh Factory
Wednesdays at seven thirty or ten pm.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Can I just have my own little two minutes of
mom jokes?

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Yeah? Absolutely, all right, we did it.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
One.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Did you know that scientists have discovered what is believed
to be the world's largest bed sheet? Really more on
this story as it unfolds.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Hey, okay, not bad not bad, very good. I get it,
bed sheet, that's really rude. I'm not supportive. I was
more on this story as it unfolds.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
See, and you're telling me how to I quit.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
All right, let's get back to music. You crushed that one.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Yeah, you're all more on Courtney low pezident. It's time
for Cordo to make us think with today's random question.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
What you got, honey?

Speaker 4 (14:57):
If you have to quote as much of a film
as you can to save your life, which film are
you going with?

Speaker 2 (15:03):
You know me?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
I'm good with solid five movies, Good Fellas, Good Fellas, Godfather,
Raging Bulls, Scarface, Rageable. I get quoted, but not as
solid as those Rocky any of the rockies. Uh for
that for that matter, I'm going you know what I mean,
just we were quoting them just the other I'm always
quoting mister.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
T hey woman, Hey, but just stay up real late
thinking a real man.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Want you get your pretty little self over to my
apartment tonight and I'll show you what a real man.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Said that to me last night.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
It was really strong. Yeah, that was mister.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
Supper than he says it like once or twice a
week for animly, It's like whole cogd to it, the
Ultimate Mail versus the Ultimate meat Ball.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
No one is threatening it right, you don't mean or Godfather,
don't ever take sides against the family again.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
I'm gonna make you off.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
I can't refuse all these see I think I wear scarface,
hond out the mine off for all those I thought you.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
What do you which movie? So I recommend comedy? Go comedy?
Make them laugh?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
I would do Raging Bull, and I can't say the
monologue go for it.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
That's the only you know, though, we can bleep what
other movie?

Speaker 4 (16:02):
Do we know that from waiting for Goffman?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
We can bleep it. No, it's okay, all right? What
other movie?

Speaker 6 (16:08):
I know? You got to What are the movie? For real?

Speaker 4 (16:09):
I'm really bad at remembering things. Fall asleep, fall asleep
every movie?

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Oh goodness, more Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 3 (16:18):
All Mario Courtney Lopez. Let you know that are twenty
twenty six. I heart Radio Alter He Goes Back. Presented
by Capitol One, It's All Going Down, Saturday, January seventeenth, at.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
The Key of form in La. The lineup is lit
to Green Day twenty one Pilots Cage the Elephants, Sublime,
Good Charlotte, Miles Smith, GG Perez and almost Monday, Mario
Lopez here getting close to the end of our radio fund.
Just one last thing to get to, plus probably enough
time to play a request or two before I get
out of here at all, and Mario on X You're

(16:48):
all Mario Courtney Lopez quickly get into one last thing.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
I was listening to Colin Cowherd, who is a very
reputable sports broadcaster, and he usually has funny takes and
I agree with him a lot of times, but I
did not agree with him with this. He basically said,
guys that wear their hat backwards full grown men are
not to be taken serious and do not make good leaders.

(17:14):
I was like, WHOA hold on a second, I still
wear my hat backwards.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
He would look a mighty fine too, thank.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
You, honey, because and the reason I wear backwards is
I don't want to comb the wig.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
I don't want to comb the wig, and then you
just see better. At some point.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, I feel rude almost if it's the bills down,
if I'm in a play, you know what I mean,
If I'm like trying to get through. But sometimes if
I have shades on, it's much easier to wear it.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Oh yeah, it's hard to wear with them.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
If you put shades on with a hat that's forward one,
you look like you're into skies, which is stupid, and
it's uncomfortable.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
Very uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
It is.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
So I always wear backwards, especially at the ball games
and just kind of running around. So I take offence
to that, and it doesn't look ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Right honey or no, No, I just think it's a
very cool, laid back look. I mean, it's just a vibe.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
I don't know the correlation.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Well, he probably looks ugly and can't wear it.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Well, you know what, You're right, those who criticize it,
usually he can't pull it off, can't put it.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Instead of just saying I'm jealous of people who can
wear their hat backwards, I don't look. You attack us
and then us people get offended.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I'm going with that more.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Alright, I'm out of here, but back tomorrow with everything
new in theaters and streaming.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Until then, Mario Lopez said Good
