Speaker 3 (02:50):
All those Italian turtles doing their thing. Mariam Courtney Lopez
here with some quick health buzz for you. If getting
into shape is one of your New Year's resolutions, which
is always the number one for people out there, maybe
easier than you think, or as easy as thinking, at
least according to a new study. I don't know about this,
but new research suggests that vividly imagining a workout and
(03:13):
picturing every movement in detail can build small amounts of
muscle strength by activating the same brain pathways as real exercise. No,
so they're identifying with going to the gym but not
actually going.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Please stop because right now I'm doing a Roman deadlift.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
If I overthink about it, am I doing too much?
Speaker 2 (03:32):
You might pull a muscle.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Study shows mental training alone may increase strength up to
ten to twenty percent in some cases, especially helpful for
recovery when movement is limited. It does prove how powerful
focused thought can be influencing the body. Obviously, if you
combine visual with actual training, you'll get better at resulting.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Now you know, I gotta imagine myself doing it while
I'm doing it.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
In all seriousness, because I've been hurt a lot. When
you do imagine working out or training in particular, like
if you're going over certain jiu jitsu technique or boxing technique,
it does kind of help. It stays sharp in your mind,
so when you do jump back into it, it's more
applicable and you're not as rusty as you think.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
So there is a little truth to this.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
No, they're totally.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Burning calories though, I'm gonna tell you right now, No.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
There totally is because as an example, when we used
to be in ballet class and we used to have
to do an arab esque, we had to mentally we
would do the arabesque, but we would in our brain
activate the group muscle, like you would think about that
muscle that you were activating as you're doing it.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
So I get it absolutely what they say.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Even if you're injured or hurt, you.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Should still come to jiu jitsu because just visually seeing it,
you're still training your brain and you'll it can be
applicable when you come back.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Happy holidays to you and yours. This is on with
Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Won't be right back. I'm maar Courtney Lopez Cordo keeping
it festive and she tries to make us laugh with
a festive holiday mom joke.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Don't jinx me.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Pressure, Let's see what's up? Thank you?
Speaker 5 (05:02):
Add pressure by saying no pressure.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
I know that's so rude.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Or what's up?
Speaker 4 (05:06):
How much would Santa pay for his sleigh?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
I don't know how much nothing. It was on the house.
Oh my god, it's Bobs, still your biggest fan. I
love it.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Time magazine named the Architects of ai as it's twenty
twenty five person of the Year. I say this with respect,
but I hate when they do this. And by this
I mean they name a category.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
It's not people.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
It's person of the year. It's not people of the year,
Community of the year, group of the year. It's person.
It's supposed to be an individual. A group description isn't
a person exactly.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
It's just come on, but I'm confused. Architects of AI
AI is.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Fake, so AI artificial intelligence. I've been learning a lot
about this recently. It does require certain architects, engineers to
go in there and well to develop these programs, OK,
because there's specific AIS for different areas of business. For example,
my friend JT. Fox, that's what his big focus is.
(06:47):
And they say that the potential of artificial intelligence roared
into view this year. It really has come a long way.
