your best friend in real life Christmas?
Speaker 4 (00:42):
I know for me? Okay, On, I didn't ask you, jam.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
You asked me the question. Okay, I'm gonna go with
Ebenezer SCROOGEO because he eventually ends up being very generous
with all his money. That is true. Actually, I think
he'll hook me up. I like screw because you know
the ending. So yeah, it's a guess. That's a good
What about you?
Speaker 4 (01:06):
I was gonna say, Elf, the elf buddy, the.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Elf buddy, The elf is good.
Speaker 4 (01:11):

Speaker 3 (01:27):
This is from at Debbie Rowlands one and she said,
saw the trailer for your son, Dominic's new Christmas movie
coming out soon. I can't wait to see it. He
appears to work more than some adults I know. Are
you officially passing the Christmas movie torch over to him?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Oh? Thank you Debbie for writing in. Yes, he he's
been pretty busy. Really proud of him. He's got his
first holiday film coming out this Sunday on Great American Family.
You can also stream it on Great American pure Flix,
called Chasing Christmas. And he plays the song one of
the single mom that falls for this single dad with
(02:04):
a daughter. They of course fall in love and the
kids end up being besties and they're in the pursuit
of this holiday toy Little Willy Wonka and the Golden
Ticket sort of Element Nico did a great job, so
we're really proud.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I saw this and I thought it was interesting. Mario
and Courtney Lopez here. I think it's safe to say
that most of us wrap our Christmas lights around the tree,
but apparently that's wrong. The pros say the real magic
happens when the strands run vertically from top to bottom,
gives the tree smoother coverage, fewer lights, spares you the
tangled mess when it's time to take everything down. Huh.
I could see that. That's kind of cool looking.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
That is kind of cool. But our tree comes with
and we're good.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Almar Courtney Lopez Cordo keeping it festive, and she tries
to make us laugh with a festive holiday mom joke.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Can I tell you something. I'm a really good regifter.
I'm not regifting trash out there, that is true. I'm
regifting solid stuff. So it's resourceful. And I strongly suggest
almar Courtney Lopez. Time for today's Celibt Birthday shout outs.
As always, Traders is gonna listen to mom. We're gonna

sub homes, you know what that would I think she'd
get sick of it very quick, you know what. I
guarantee she don't have many homies talk about sub homes.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
I'm saying most people probably don't because she's she's a lady,
so most people aren't like, what's she's a word.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
But it wouldn't be rud because that's literally if you're
friends with her, Yeah, yeah, it's her name. Yeah, I know, Uh,
Holmes coming in forty four.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
It's a good thing she's never she doesn't live on
the street. She'd be Katie Holmes less and she that
I don't know why I even said that.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
She's forty six, forty seven. You don't know what her
face looks like. But she's having a birthday today.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Sea we know now it's a facelift.
Speaker 6 (05:12):
That's true. You don't know what her old face. Actually,
we don't know that she had a facelift. She could
have just said that exactly because we didn't see them,
that's true.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Why would she volunteer that, by the way, because she did.
No why would she volunteer that considering we never saw
our old face, right.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
Maybe it's because she started showing. They're like, why are
you showing it now? And she's like, I had a facelift.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Had a facelift and a really good one.
Speaker 6 (05:48):
His is actually decent, really good. Bradley Cooper's is a
little off. I don't know what he did.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yes, ironically they had the same doctor. Really, yes, Well,
people have bad days and crazy, right exactly, and here's
a crazy You're only human? Yeah, I know. I people
have bad days, You're right, or they get too aggressive.
And Bradley Cooper is about twelve thirteen years younger than
Brad Pitt. I want to say, well, don't I get now?
Raadly it I think is coming in at sixty one,
(06:16):
sixty two, sixty two is correct. You've just been one
upping me that why? Because you've just been one upping prices?

about twenty years ago right on island, and has it stopped?
Did you ever think like this, this kid from Chicago
would be in this position to win every major award.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
You know what. I feel like God always have a
little bit more in store than what you ask for.
I could have never imagined this. I dreamt of winning Grammys.
So to win an Oscar before Grammy and then everything
else will come be and me and Tony, I don't
think Eguy is In.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Has blessings on blessings right there. And this thing the show,
which is a great time. I've had the honor being
honored a couple of times. And what's the secret over there?
You having I know you always having fun, but as
it are you now you found a groove you really
like it?

it's just like a family vibe around here, which is
the type of energy I love to always have around

Fest and fun.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Coming up. Back to Jennifer Hudson, who's on Zoom with
us Mario Lopez. Here, let's talk about your first Christmas album,
The Gift of Love. What motivated this?
Speaker 5 (08:50):
So I was excited to be able to share my
holiday traditions now with the world through music. What better
gift to gift than music, which is why it's called
The Gift of Love. And I feel like whatever song
you like on that album is like my holiday gift
to you.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Well, there's fifteen songs on her, a lot of traditional favorites.
One of the songs Santa to Someone. It's a cool title.
Tell me about that.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
That's an original, Yes, santat Someone, That's an original song
that's on the holiday album.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
Which is like, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
I feel like I feel like the album is from perspective,
like we all have to go through the holiday season,
whether we love it or not, you know what I mean.
And so it's like or it's different things we're experiencing,
and that one is like we get to be Santa
Claus to someone. You know, we're getting gifts for the
kids with gifts for our loved ones, So we get
to play Santa Claus and it's hectic doing those things.
So what about that energy? How about we put that
in a song. And so that's Santa for someone.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Jeffer Hudson is on Zoom with us talking about her
new holiday album and another song you collab with a
fellow Grammy winner. Comment for another original, Almost Christmas? How
was it worry on common? Oh goodness.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
I love working with coming, Like we kind of put
our traditions together. Yeah, now our own thing. So I
wanted the homage of like holiday storytelling to be a
part of the album. I raally hear that on holiday albums.
So that's what he came in to play it, and
I'm like, why don't you do your version of tours
the night before Christmas? And so that's where Almost Christmas
(10:18):
came from.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Okay, and Ryan Teddor from One Republic I know, served
as EP of the album and produced a lot of
the tracks. Yes, man, he's really like he's got his
hands on a lot of stuff right there. How was
that experience with him?
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Ryan Tedder? It's a dream to always work with him,
Like he's one of my favorite artists and producers. So
to have him spear hit This album was amazing, you know,
and it allowed me so much space. It's the most
fun that I have ever had doing any album, to
be honest.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Rapping up with Jennifer Hudson. You're on with Mario Lopez,
and what famous person do you think would be the
most fun to spend the holidays with?
Speaker 5 (10:55):
Ooh, coming ah, that was Greick?
Speaker 2 (11:01):
All right? What would your elf name be?
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Oh my god, what would my elf name be?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
I don't even know what that really means. But ginger elf,
I get it, Yes, Ginger, yes, j e n I
get it. Nice. What was the what was the coolest
gift you got as a kid growing up? You know
what it was?
Speaker 5 (11:24):
I don't know if I should pick the Barbie Susie scribbles.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Susie scribbles? Is that a dog scribbles?
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Oh my god? She had a desk, she had a
pen and she would sit.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
There and write.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Yes, she really only scribbled.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
That was oh.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
And then the the recorder from Home Alone because that's
my favorite holiday movie.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah, okay, wait talk, won't you talk?
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Oh my god, that was the best gift too. And
then the bike, but it was too cold to ride
it in Chicago in the winter, so it's kind of
like you had to wait for the summer the rid.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, dang, I just got your whole Christmas list. And
then my next question was your favorite holiday movie? But
Home Alone?
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Yeah, that's a classic, hands down Home Alone one and two.
And to the point to this day, we go doing
the holiday season and stand in front of the Home

The other day we talked about the iHeart Rewind, but
I wanted to tell you all about my Spotify rap,
where it pretty much logs in all the music you
listen to and tells you your listening age, how long
you listened to. I was pretty blown away, so I
listened for forty five thousand minutes, which is thirty two days.
(15:40):
They said, nice, it's a lot of music, and they
said taste like yours can't be defined, but let's try anyway.
I listened to two hundred and fifty seven genres. Okay,
I didn't know that much. My top genres any yeses
yacht rock. Yacht rock was number two, number coming in
number five, funk okay, number four, dance number three, soul
(16:03):
number two, yacht rock, number one, Pop rap okay, pop
crazy rap, pop rap, right, hop rap. Best part. My
average listening age twenty eight years old. Look at that, people,
twenty eight. Y'all thought I was gonna be abut to
be like sixty eight or something, twenty eight years old.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
And I'll tell you why it is puzzling with all
the yacht rock that it would be twenty eight, because
I tell you.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
It's for certain occasions the yat rock. As you're outside,
you're maybe hanging by the pool playing some bochi chilling
like that. But most of the time I'm listening to
the music while training, and I gotta have up be
quit music, So I'm either listening to like dance or
EDM or rap.
Speaker 6 (16:38):
Yeah, no, I get so it's different music for different things,
and you're spending more time doing those things than just
hanging out listening to yacht rapp.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Yeah, Latin buttons like all that sort of thing. Yours. No, No,
you're probably like in your fifties.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
The countdown at Christmas continues in moments. This is on
with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
