right to a random question.

What do you got, honey?
Speaker 4 (00:36):
So, since tomorrow is Sinkle de mayo, mao, would you
rather spend Sinkle Demayo having to eat every taco you
see for twenty four hours straight or having to wear
a six foot wide sombrero that gets stuck in every
doorway while yelling all lay at strangers.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Well, having to eat every taco I see for twenty
four hours straight is like a dream. Oh, that's been
trying to make that happen for Are you kidding me that?
That's a hands down easy answer.

It feels like not too long ago, where all Star
Wars nerds sort of gather and celebrate right before sincu
to my of course, big Star Wars movies coming out,
The Mandalorian, which I'm excited to take the boys this
month to see this year made what should come out?
Speaker 5 (01:37):

May is also a big month for It's gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Be mad you missed that because you were sick. You
were sick, Courtney Lopez. Here music rolls on. After some
quick buzz, the reviews are in for The Devils product
to and so far, so good. USA Today gave it
three out of four stars, saying it sticks to the
formula that worked back in two thousand and six, tosses
a lot of Easter eggs and hidden messages for fans
(02:05):
and fashionistas.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
They posted before and after pictures of Vane Hathaway, Meryl
Streep and the others, first from two thousand and six,
then from last week's premiere, and while they look fantastic,
still like they've barely aged. The movie, of course, hit
theaters this past Friday, and the soundtrack dropped as well,
including three songs with Lady Gaga and songs from Miley
Cyrus do Alipa and Olivia d.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Amar and Courtney Lopez and Frasier What's this thing you
wanted to get to?

So the highest grossing movies of twenty twenty six so far.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Okay, we're about the halfway point, right, We're We're.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
Not halfway were third or the way or something. But
these are the top nine movies of the year so far.
At number nine, goat the animated movie with Jennifer Lewis
because we had her.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
On to talk about that still haven't taken one hundred.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
And ninety million dollars.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
Okay, that may Blade of the Guardians at eight two
hundred and three million, Scream seven two hundred thirteen million,
Michael two hundred and eighteen million.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
It's already in the list.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
Wow, Weathering Heights two hundred and forty one million hoppers
three hundred and seventy million hoppers. Hoppers was the they
took someone's brain and put it into a bunny or something.
I think, Wow, it's an animated movie. And Wow, Project
Hill Mary six hundred and thirteen million dollars. Ok, that's
Ryan Gossling Pegasus three at number two with six hundred
(03:29):
and forty.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Eight megas Pegasus three. It appears to be it looks
like a Korean film. Wow from the poster.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
That's crazy.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
And at number one the Super Mario Galaxy movie with
eight hundred and thirty one million dollars.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Wow, that's been killing a lot of animation. Look at
that lot of animation.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (03:49):

Speaker 3 (04:32):
De bral Mario Lopez joining me right now for the
new season of Beef on Netflix. Great actor, mister William Figner.
How you doing, William?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I'm doing fine. Thank you all were you?
Speaker 3 (04:42):
I'm doing well. Thank you for taking the time. Funny
because your name came up recently when I had part
of my team doing a location scout in Buffalo, New York.
Come to find out that is your hometown, Buffalo, New York.
You were born and raised.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Huh, listen, listen. I was actually born in Long Island on.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
An Air Force base. Okay, my mother was from Buffalo.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
At two and a half months old, she looked at
my father and said, I'm going home, So I'm not
giving Long Island any credit here.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
I'm Buffalo all the way.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Oh yeah, two and a half I doesn't count. You
can't even say anything that's a Buffalo. Can I tay
you something? I really have enjoyed. I've done a few
films now in Buffalo, and I really like the people.
It's a great, great town, very very cool. My only
thing is, William, it stays cold for a long time,
a long time.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
Well, there's two seasons in Buffalo, Winter and fourth of July.
So right, you take one of the other.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
I'll tell you what. We were shooting a holiday film.
Worked out great. It was April. It was snowing, snowing
in April. I'm like, oh my god, and cold. I'm like, wow. However,
I'm going back to Buffalo doing a movie with Tony
Danz and he's playing my dad. We're going to be
in Buffalo June. It'll be a little warmer, but I'm
really looking. They're doing a lot of production out there.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Well, you know, the taxing centives tens and it's more.
It's as competitive as any place in the country right now.
But the other thing about Buffalo that people don't realize
is Buffalo has and you've been there, you can go
downtown and find amazing architecture. Yeah, people are just starting
to shoot there and they're like, they get to Buffalo
and they're like, I had no idea, right, there's so
(06:18):
much that you could do. I know, I sound like
a walking billboard from my hometown, but I am.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
I love it. No, I love it. I really get
you know. I had so many damn chicken wings too.
I went all the way through like I think super
Bowl before I had another one. Wait, what's the sandwich though,
isn't there a sandwich? There's fun weck beef on weck exactly,
they say, he knows it's a beef on Like another
great damn sandwich right there. It was great. I love
it and I love your love for Buffalo. All right,
hang tied.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
We got more with William coming up.
Speaker 7 (06:42):
More Mario Lopez coming up catching up with actor William Figner.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
You're on with Mario Lopez. William currently in the latest
season of Beef season two. Coincidentally, my wife and I
started season two of Beef last night. We absolutely love
the first season. For people uh not familiar. This is
a completely different story in different casts than season one.
(07:06):
But I'm digging it. I can't wait to dive in
again tonight. How would you describe the overall premise.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Uh, you know, the concept of what a beef is
is still the same. And and you know, Sonny Jin,
the creator of it, who's just arguably one of the
smartest people I've ever met, and just a wonderful guy
to work with. You know, people, anybody that's expecting like
a continuation of season one, it's not coming.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
A completely different story, completely dive rent.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
Everything including the actors, takes place in a country club,
but it's you know, it explores, you know, the interpersonal
relationships of people and wealth and money and and uh,
it's uh.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
It's it's a sunny gin creation. It's one of a kind.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
I mean, I personally I watched some rough cuts of it,
but I haven't watched the uh, the finished product with
as you know, you know, when the sound mix is
done and everything everything goes and gets really tight. Right,
I'll check it out maybe were you. I usually don't
watch things that I do, so I don't know. I
might get around to it.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Talking Beef season two with actor William Fickner. You're on
with Mario Lopez and cool guest stars too, Benny Blanco,
Michael Phelps, finneas Baron Davis, how do they do? Are they members?
How do they weave into the show?
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Yes, they're members of this the MVP of the country clubs,
so you know you have the liberty to do things
like that. There are more, There are more interesting coming
down the road.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I will tell you this much.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
When I got on the set and Michael Phelps was there,
I was I went so fanboys so fast.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I just literally said, I have.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Three questions for you that had to do with specific
moments in the Olympics that I never forgot and I
wanted the first hand perspective about them. And Michael was
great because I said, all right, come on, Claude du Bois,
South African guy two hundred final a breast stroke, tell
me how you felt when he stared you down. And
Michael hopped right in and like gave me the specifics
of everything.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Oh that's cool, really cool. Oh that is super cool
right there? All right? Hanyk TYD.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
I got more. I want to ask more. William Figner
coming up.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It's up, bro.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Mario and Courtney Lopez got William Fickner on the line
talking Beef season two, and tell me about this movie
you have with Travolta and Miris Orvino called that's amare?
What is that one about?
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Just just wrapped it last week, just got home last week. Well,
I tell you, you know, one of the funner times
I've ever had. It's it's a huge, big Italian family. Uh,
that's incredibly dysfunctional, with the older son being Travolta, and
it's about his love.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Life or lack of it.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
And you know he's got there's four boys in the
family and one daughter, Drea dematteoe place, and I'm married
to her, so I'm the one. I'm the Irish guy
in the Italian family that's going had a really good
time shot at Biloxi, Mississippi, the first time I was
ever down there.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Lovely people, hot bet of Italians, hot bet for Italians
down there. Sure are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (10:10):
A pizza parlor on every corner.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Yeah, My wife's Italian. She's gonna love this this movie.
This is great.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
No, she's gonna love this movie.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Oh that's great. Okay, I'm gonna be sure to check
that out. All right, hangtime more with William coming up.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
You're the full interview now at on with Mario donc
More Mario Lopez on the Way wrap.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
It up with actor William Figner. You're on with Mario Lopez.
And of course you've had such an awesome career. You've
been in so many great movies and TV shows. Armageddon, Crash,
prison Break, Entraage one of my personal favorites. I just
want to point out his Heat just such a classic,
and it was actually one of your earliest movies right
earlier in.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
The Heat was like like second film.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Wow, what a way to kick off the career right there.
What do you remember about being on set?
Speaker 5 (10:54):
I remember that Michael Mann, which is very unusual in film.
It's only happened twice in my life for someone really
wanted to direct, like for a whole week. Actually Nick Valalongo,
who won an Oscar for writing and producing Green Book,
this is Nick's film.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
That's a more Nick did that.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
He spent a few days rehearsing, which is great and
it doesn't happen often enough. But I remember Michael Man.
You had to sit in his office, whether it was
Gino or de Niro or Robert or John Boyd. You
sat and yet he read scenes more than a few times.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Michael Man. That's all you know.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
It was a young actor to sit down and to
get a part in something you know that eventually would
become so iconic was pretty special.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
That is special. Oh, that's awesome. Really really enjoyed us
speaking with you. Thank you so much for taking the time. Well,
everyone listen, please be sure to catch William in season
two of Beef. We're just streaming right now on Netflix. William,
thanks so much for check in. And I hope I
get to see him person.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's my it's my point. I'm gonna run any in
Buffalo one of these that'd be the best. That'd be
the best, maybe even in June.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
Listen, if I end up coming back when you're there,
I'll find.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
You, find me, hit me up, hitso we'll sounds good.
Take care, buddy, We'll get.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Some wings there.
Speaker 7 (12:07):
Here you go, Amaro Lopez, keep the music coming your ways.
We take a quick look at the buzz.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
Alicia Keys joining American Idol as a mentor for the
top three finalists. During the finale, Lisha going to be
offering advice and performing in celebration of the twenty fifth
anniversary of her debut album. The episode by the Way,
We'll air May eleventh on ABC and Disney Plus. Marik
Courtney Lopez. So, how would you describe twenty twenty six
so far? A new survey asked that question, and the
(12:49):
number one response was stressful. Huh, what's feeding American's overwhelming stress?
People said they've already experienced an average of two plot
twists this year or unexpected life changes that through their
roadmap for twenty twenty six out the window.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Yeah we can relate.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Hi, get that?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Well, the number two response was challenging, but the number
three word was more optimistic and it was hopeful.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
I think all those three things apply stressful, challenging, hopeful
and weird and weird.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Yes, I think that's life.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
You're Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's put a spotlight on my
lovely wife. It is time for Courtney's random thought. What
do you got, honey?
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Okay? Why is it that one of short person waves
that you. We don't call it a microwave?
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Oh it's tiny cold? You know that is a little
insulting to short people. However, if a baby waves that you,
I think we can get away with calling it a microwave.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
But I'm short. Yes, my aunt used to call me
Shortenney short.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Shortney new nickname.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Oh no, you're on.
Speaker 2 (14:02):

told you, but I guess I'll break some news here
(14:26):
on the show. You know how, I let my name
or or license my name to a bunch of different
products out there, everything from like baby clothes to kitchen wear.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
To we don't even know half of the things dog peep,
god boys, all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Well, we got to report back recently. Long story short,
you know what is the biggest seller by far, and
they now want to renew for a three year deal
and I got to do a whole big photo shoot
and it's a whole thing Mario's men wipes.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
I knew it.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
I knew it was going to be and by a
lot I knew it by a lot. Is that the
funniest thing? That's hilarious? And now and I'm saying, are
you serious? And so no, they want to do a
whole thing just a way. Well the baby clothes as well.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
There's other ones that don't, but that one is before.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
That's that's the reason, that's above, that's the leading product.
Is that hilarious. Got a lot of love too, like
on Daily Mail and all this stuff, is that hilarious
wipes from Mario Lopez Wipes for men. But I get
so many people that tagged me on it because you're
not familiar. Are they going to expand the line? I
think they are, okay. And for those who may not
be familiar with what I'm talking about, I have a
(15:28):
it's a wet white basically, and you use it to
either clean up after yourself or clean up surfaces and
what have you, like you would a wet wipe. So
I got the message and I had the call this
morning and it just made me laugh and I was
laughing that that's the best seller the wipes for men are.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
They just see your face on there and they're like, yeah,
I want that.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Congratulations, Yes exactly, thank you.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
I think more.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Fun on the way On with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
You're All Mario Courtney Lopez. You know there's some pretty
strange food trends out there on social media these days.
We talk about a few of them here on the
radio show, and when someone grabs our attention, usually in
a bad way, we want to talk about it. I've
tried a lot of these too, mash dot com is
listing the most ridiculous ones of the year so far.
What made the list?
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Honey, two ingredient cheesecake.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
I already know I don't like cheesecake.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
I don't know why it is so good, you do.
I love cheesecake, but I don't know if I like this.
Put Lotus Biscoff biscuits into a tub of plain Greek
yogurt and refrigerate it and nope, it doesn't taste like cheesecake.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Wait a minute, I love I love Greek yogurt and
I love me and it doesn't taste like cheesecake.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
So I love this.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
I think like this.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
So why are we calling it too ingredient cheesecake?
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Exactly? It should be too ingredient yogurt with cookies. It
doesn't taste like cheesecake. It's yogurt and cookies.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Okay, Caviar on everything. You may have seen McDonald's McNuggets
with caviar. People are putting caviar on hot dogs, Dorito's pizza.
I've seen it on potato chips.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yep, yeah, but Dorito's only cool ranch.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
But why, I've.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Tried it on a few of these things, and you're
defeating the whole.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Purpose the chips.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
You're supposed to eat it on a chip, usually a
little chip and a little egg white, but everything else
you're defeating the whole purpose of tasting the caviar.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
I've never had caviar because I don't want to get
impregnated by a fish.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
So I've also never had it, but not for that reason.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
Do buy chocolate. We now have Dubai chocolate cakes, Croissant's
ice cream, coffee and more. I have to say I
have still have not tried the Dubai chocolate.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
I haven't Israeli good. Our daughter loves it, really, she
is obsessed and she keeps hitting me up for it.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Really, she mason asked me to buy.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
It, oh, because it's kind of hard to find and stuff.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
But she's like, you have to go to Dubaike.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Have you tried it?
Speaker 1 (18:17):
No?
Speaker 3 (18:17):
I think you get it like a fancy schmancy This.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Is also disgusting. Sushi push pops yep, It's sushi in
a tube and you push the rolls out. It makes
a big mess.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
See, I'm down with sushi, but I don't know about
that one.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
More.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
Mario Lopez on the way You're on Mario Lopez music

reuniting with Selena Gomez and Joejonas meant everything. An actress
Brenda Song details the pettiest fight that she has with
Macaulay Culkin.

at all on Mario on X. On Mario Courtney Lopez
almost time to pass the mic, but not before we
squeeze in one last thing. This might be a future
food trend. Imagine eating a handful of watermeltons. No, I can,
I can totally imagine. Sounds crazy maybe, but it could
become a reality. Thanks to a couple of amateur fruit
(19:39):
breeders in Virginia. They've grown tiny little watermelons the size
of a chicken egg.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Oh, that's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
They say, these tiny melons taste exactly like regular sized watermelons.
It's just unclear whether the rine is edible and if
you just pop them in your mouth and do they
have a little baby seed. No, they have to be seedless.
You gotta make it cause those season be too small
to get out, Like we.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Just had a swallow.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Yeah, I will try this.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
If you can eat the rye, then its next level.
It's like eating grapes. Yeah, exactly, that's kind of crazy.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
This is amazing.
