The 'Cast of Us | A Last of Us & Walking Dead 'Cast

Fans of The Walking Dead know it's so much more than a zombie show. It's an emotionally rich, character-driven series about love and loss, and found family, and the lengths we'd go through to protect the people we care about. That's what's kept us coming back all these years. (And also we like zombies.) I’m Jason Cabassi. My cohost Karen and I started podcasting about The Walking Dead back in 2010. Along the way, I’ve appeared on the show a couple of times as a walker, hosted hundreds of Q&A panels with TWD actors at conventions across the U.S., and eventually teamed up with my current co-host, the witty and insightful Lucy Hinnie. Together—with some incredible guests—we’ve covered The Last of Us and every Walking Dead spinoff, from Fear to Dead City. Right now, we’re enjoying a rewatch of the original series—with the full story in mind—and diving into the moments that still hit hard. Past guests on the podcast include Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Robert Kirkman, Angela Kang, Greg Nicotero, and many more. And the most fun and fulfilling part of all this has absolutely been interacting with you guys and making it a conversation. So write in, send a voice message, and be part of it! Hey all, here’s a bonus episode for ya. If you’re a fan of the Apple TV series Severance — or if you’ve missing hearing me (Jason) and Karen together — I’m pretty sure you’ll like it. Karen in particular is in top form here :)  So what is this? This is the two of us on my other podcast, Wax Episodic, talking Severance S1E1 “Good News About Hell”.  What is Severance? It’s a trippy show where for some reason office workers have...

That’s a wrap for season 5! Because of the Daryl show and a few other detours, it took us six months, which was just as long as when we covered it the first time. Lol. Anyway, the season ends with this packed episode that’s a turning point for Alexandria and Rick and the fam, and we were thrilled to have listener Carisa from Portland to talk It out with us. Be sure to listen to the end for some book recommendations.  Mentioned ...

Our folks are cleaning up in this episode (except Daryl), as they face the culture shock of quaint idyllic Alexandria after having gone through hell for the past couple years of their lives. Happy New Year everybody! Here's our last episode on the road before the group settles in (more or less) at Alexandria, and I and special guest Robin Springer are savoring it. Is this the bleakest episode of The Walking Dead? It’s up there for sure. It’s also a fantastic episode, with our found family of characters persisting, enduring, surviving, and supporting each other even at their lowest. We’re happy to be joined by special guest Megan Lehman as we talk it out.  PS Merry Christmas and happy holidays everybody! We’re taking this next week off, so we’ll be back with another episode in the new year...

Hey all, here’s another bonus episode, this time on the crazy new Apple TV show, Pluribus. Pluribus is the latest show from Breaking Bad creator, Vince Gilligan, who in our book is one of the all-time great TV creators. His writing is intelligent, meticulous, unexpected, and wry, and this show is wild. It’s very Twilight Zone-y. Creepy, thought provoking, thrilling, extremely odd in the best way, and super fun. If you haven’t tri...

This finale, we think, is one of those episodes where if you squint just right, it’s full of holes, and if you shift your perspective just a little, it’s delightful! And we’re delighted to talk it out.  Next time we’ll be going right back into the Walking Dead rewatch, and we really encourage anyone who hasn’t been listening along with us to that to jump back in! Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
