Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple of
Joe with lavarre Airings Rady, Quinn and Jonas Knocks on
Fox Sports Radio. Yeah yeah, kick some mash sticks. Yeah,
two close and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
(00:24):
LaVar Arrington, right, Quinn, Jonas Knock in the morning. What's that,
false enthusiast? Hey man, it's uh, this is this is
the grind time. You know, this is a football season.
We're gonna be inundated with ball for the next six months.
And we got a whole plate of it over the weekend,
wall to wall action of NFL preseason here, and so
(00:45):
we're going to have all of it covered for you here.
It's you can listen to. The show is always on
the I Heart Radio app and you can find us
on hundreds of affiliates all across the country and wherever
the hell you are making us a part of your
Monday morning. We're going to take you all the way
up until nine am Eastern time, say a clock Pacific.
How are we feeling about was six sticks? Yeah? Bitche Hey.
(01:13):
By the way, I'm not trying to spoil the the
fs R I R because I think we've got I
know I got a storry, but I'll just say this,
your foot is getting worse and worse apparently, like what
is going on with that? So it's broke. So for
people that are just tuning in, you a kid was
tackling a sled, five man sled and just it on
(01:34):
your phone. I didn't think that he could move a
five man sled by himself, so I didn't get back
to a safe distance from where I was standing and
coaching him to, you know, where he was going to
be possibly capable of hitting a five If you know
how big and massive a five man sled is, you
(01:54):
would be probably like, yeah, LaVar is probably right. Like
I'm standing up in between the shields. I'm standing there.
I'm like, come come hit it, you know, come hit
this thing. And he came in. He hit it and
it went up off of the ground and then it
came back down on my foot and now you get
a brace on it. I had to. I had to
just getting worse and worse. Yeah, bro, I had to
(02:17):
what is it called mobilize it or whatever? Immobilized there
we go, Yeah, yeah, I had So is it broken?
It's it's a mid foot fracture. Oh no, no, did
you get to look at Yeah, well yeah, thanks, But
doesn't make it feel doesn't make you feel better because
(02:39):
now you can actually say like it's a fracture and
you're walking around on it this whole time, you know,
like it was just a bone bruise, and'll be like
put some things on it. Dog. Yeah, I don't. I
don't try to have some at my age, I don't
try to win the tough man contest. But it does
hurt very much. But you know how it used to
work back in the day, Like when you had a
broken bone us, it was kind of cool, you know
(03:01):
the elementary school, junior high you kind of bragging rights
if you had a cast, like you know, people will
be signing it. Then when you got older that it
was like, oh, like he's he's gonna be pretty good.
He's he plays a sport, he got injured, that whole thing.
Then when you get to a certain age you get hurt,
people are like, oh, they're just old and brittle, like
like that's just what's That's what happens. When you get
old and brittle, you start falling. You can't get up,
(03:24):
you know, you have a sled drop on your foot.
You break it easily and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah,
I do have some good news though, Come on, can
you pick it? How about how about Kenny p about it?
How about making your your hometown of Pittsburgh proud. They
were fired up to see him getting that game over
the weekend, I mean, and he delivered. Good Man delivered.
(03:44):
I mean. It's weird though, because I thought his hands
were too small, Brady. So I'm just trying to figure
out why why he was able to throw the football
so that his hands would be too small to hold
onto NFL balls. Yeah, you know they'd be too big
for him. So were they using like nerve footballs on
on Saturday or was that? Like? How was he able
to hold out of the ball and it looked like
a regulation size to me? Jonas, Yeah, that's uh so
(04:05):
Kenya worked out for him. He looked at was cupping
them balls and he was spending Erbisky were off and running.
Cherbisky looked pretty good in limited time. Mason Rudolph had
a good drive. Um George Pickens, by the way, uh
(04:26):
so he's just gonna be the real deal. Brady. You
called it um that. I don't know who the defender
was for Seattle that got knocked on his ass. But
then somebody brought up a clip from Georgia where he
did the same thing in a game at Georgia, and
then the catchy made in the corner of the end
zone from Mason Rudolph was fantastic. He looks like he's
going to be the real deal. Pittsburgh got another wide receiver,
(04:48):
so congratulations. I'll go as far as saying I think
he's got a shopper rookie or offensive rookie of the year,
and it may be better than pickt which you might
be thinking yourself. Hold on, how's that makes sense? It's
kind of like the Heisman, right if the quarterback is
playing well, and obviously the wide receiver's gonna be playing well.
The differences. Trobisky did look good in the beginning, like
(05:10):
they might let him start the first few games before
this thing would ever get turned over to Kenny Pickett.
So if that's the case, you have to think Pickets
gonna be in there the entire time, getting targets, getting yards,
getting production. But I mean, the Steelers once again did
it again like they find these guys all the time
and the draft and that it seems like it's even
(05:31):
the first round, like they find in the second, third, fourth,
fifth round, whatever it is. Are they that they might
be the best team at drafting wide receivers? Ever, at
this point, why why can certain organizations just do it
and others can't? I don't know, New England's asking themselves
that that's for sure. I just I don't. I don't
get it, Like why can some organizations? It could be
(05:51):
is it just because there's consistency there, because you don't
have a lot of turnover, because there's not you know,
a new head coach every three or four years. Because
it just seems like Pittsburg always has an act for
finding these guys. Look, they let remember Mike Wallace left
and it was like, oh man, they're really gonna let
Mike Wallace walk and he got replaced, and then you
had Antonio Brown and then you had Juju Smith. Schuster
(06:12):
is gone, and now they've got pick Ins. It just
seems like they just roll out wide receiver after wide receiver.
Chase Claypool's there, and don't forget about Tyler Vaughns. You
know Tyler Vaughns. Yeahez um, But I just where is that? Okay? Yeah,
(06:37):
Pasadena action. Um, yeah, I just I don't know, man,
they they Kenny Pickett looked fantastic and I wanted to
see just when he came in the game and they
were waiting for the second half to start, and uh,
once he got in, you just looked at that crowd
and they loved him. And I just kept was thinking
to myself, I wonder if Ben Roethlisberger's watching this right
(06:57):
now what he feels. I wonder if he's got a
red watching Kenny Picky get the celebration he got. You
don't think so his bottom is not puffed. He might
be puffy that he's not playing anymore and probably think
that he had at least one or two more good
years left in him. But he I don't think he's
looking at at him and filling a certain type of
(07:18):
way while he's at home, or he probably didn't even
watch the game. He's probably somewhere golf and berfoot. By
the way, I tend to one George Pickens tend to one,
uh to win Rookie of the Year. So there's a yeah,
there's some a little sprinkle sprinkle the Kenny pick It
is Kenny Pike. It is the favorite sprinkle a little bit. Um,
(07:39):
So do you think at what point this year do
you think we're gonna see Kenny Pickett as a starting quarterback?
Not because of injury, but at what point do you
think Mike Tomlin pulls the trigger because he doesn't feel
like somebody who's going to just make a quick decision
to please the fan base. Um, is this gonna be
let him it and we go next year? Or are
(08:02):
they gonna be able to hold him back and keep
it in the holster and not release him to that crowd,
to that fan base, to that division, especially if they're
in contention with who the hell knows what's going to
happen with Cleveland. We don't know whether or not Cincinnati
is gonna bounce back, and Baltimore had you know, it
was riddled with injuries last year. Lamar Jackson still doesn't
have a contract. We'll get to that later. But if
(08:24):
if Pittsburgh's winning, you can't just make the quarterback change.
And so it feels like Picket's gonna ride this thing
out for a little bit, barring injury, not let the
quarterback have it. You want it? Yeah, sure, I mean
as you look through their schedule, I don't know. It's
tough to tell. Like I think, if you lose back
to back games, like they start off at Cincinnati, that
(08:47):
could be a loss. Then they're gonna play New England
at home, could be a loss. Doing that's pretty good.
Then you play at Cleveland short week, notice Shawn Watson.
We know that. We'll see what happens with that game.
And then the Jets conceivably they could be one in three.
They could, they could. I mean, I don't think they're
(09:09):
gonna lose all four of those, but if they're one
in three, Trabinsky is not playing well and they lose
to a team like the Jets, which at that point
they should have Zach Wilson back, although we can get
into that he looked like, you know, he didn't look
very good anyway. But if you lose these, you start
off one in three o four. I think it's a
(09:30):
it's a thought that, well, it's early enough in the season.
If we make the change now, we feel like we
have a shot of still being in it. I mean,
you could maybe say, depending on how the first quarter
of the season, in the first four games goes, we
we could have an indication of how short that rope
is or if Kenny Pikey gets a shot, but they
put Mason Rudolph ahead of them already. I was about
(09:52):
to say that was a bigger question is where does
Mason Rudolph fit in all of this. I don't think
it's anywhere, you know. I mean, like, I would find
it hard to believe you draft a guy in the
first round and you're gonna keep two guys in front
of him. I mean, I think if it's a place
that would do it, it would be Pittsburgh. I'll be
honest with you. If I'm the New York Jets right now,
(10:13):
I'm looking for another guy. I'm not just rolling with
Joe Flacco and Mike White like I might make a
move from Mason Rudolph, Like I might say, hey, we
still think xact the guy, but we need more depth
in here. And this, you know, this injury, he's getting
surgery in l A. This injury is gonna COSTI to
miss we think at least four weeks. If that's the case,
well I need to bring in more guys just in case.
(10:35):
You know, Joe Flacco gets her. He's up there in
ages and played you know very much, or we don't
want to put that ball on Mike White hands the
whole time. Even then you still need a little more
depth there. So I wouldn't be shocked that they didn't
try to move, you know, Mason Rudolph, because I think
you got a couple of guys right now, and usually
teams only keep too. Yeah, but again, I wouldn't be
(10:56):
surprised if they held off on putting pick it in
this year. I just wouldn't be I would not be shocked.
Are they going to play this game though, where it's
preseason and they make an announcement next week that now
Kenny Picketts moved up to second string like he's just
slowly climbed the charts, that they could do that. But again,
(11:18):
if you're looking at the history of of the franchise,
generally speaking, guys don't come right in and and play.
They give them a little bit of time. It's it's played.
Because Tommy Maddox got hurt, correct, It's possible that times
may have changed enough for this team may need his
(11:41):
services enough where they you know, that caution goes to
the wind, or that tradition goes to the wind, and
they don't they don't wait. I think that if if
they are a one in three team, you certainly have
to think about what you're going to do, especially if
it's because of your quarterback play. So it'll be it'll
(12:03):
be interesting to see. I mean, I guess the more
I think about it, if you know what you're gonna
get with Mason Rudolph, that's for certain. They you know
he'd had his opportunity and and if you're looking at
the trajectory of what the team could possibly be, I
would only say and would caution if you throw him
in at one in three, then you know what happens
(12:26):
If it doesn't get an be better, you know, well,
if it continues to slide once he gets in there,
and can take him out, yeah, I can take him out.
I think at that point you kind of know what
you're getting though, right, it's just built for the future.
If if you if you're continuing to you kind of
know where. But that would be Mike Tomling. Keep in mind,
(12:46):
this would be Mike Tomlin's first losing season as a
head coach. If they were to just like let it
ride like whatever was going to happen is gonna would
be crazy. In year sixteen fifteen years, he's never had
a losing season. That is obsurd. By the way, has
he been there longer than Kaer was there? I think
at this point he app Jesus man. I didn't realize
(13:10):
have been that long. But yeah, it's gonna be fun
to see how that all plays out and we get
to see a little bit more Kenny pick It in
the preseason. It is two pros and a cup of Joe.

you all the way up until nine am Eastern time,
six pacifics. So we've got those are just mallads, Okay, okay,
all right, fair enough Okay, so we are we are
often running here on Monday morning. There's a lot to
go on, a lot of football conversation to be had.
(15:17):
There was a debut that took place over the weekend.
How about the Cleveland Browns new starting quarterback to Shaun Watson?
How bad it look great? Look great? It's a lot
of money and a lot of drama for pretty lackluster performance.
One of five seven yards? Yeah, one of five seven yards.
I mean a lot of a lot of rusts there.
(15:38):
I would have thought it would be well, well oiled,
well lubricated. So oh wow, is it listen? Valid point?
I think it's a valid point. All right? There any
chance going on during the game, Yeah, there was you
sick bleep from Jaguar fans, and then there was another
(15:58):
guy that's can I borrow some massage oil? Some guy
holding up a sign that said can I borrow some
massage oil? And this is Jacksonville where they don't give
a crap about football because they swim in the top
deck during during halftime, and so they focus in on
(16:18):
other things. Yeah, and uh so they took time away
from their snorkeling to let them know that they're not
pleased with the fact that he was starting for the
Cleveland Browns. I did think it was pretty funny that
Joe Bettonio said when they asked him about fans booing
Deshaun Watson. He said, more than ever Cleveland against the world.
So it's like, what, no, No, alright, dude, Um, I
(16:42):
don't know that everyone's rooting against you and your teammates.
That's don't bring them in fact. If anything, if anything,
I feel bad for Kevin Stefanski and some of the
guys on that team because they've been putting in a
terrible spot to where they're now labeled as I don't
know if enabler is the right, but they're now label
as guilt by association because Deshaun Watson's on the team.
(17:03):
I feel bad for Kevin Stevanski and those guys. I
don't root against Cleveland, but it's just a lot of
people don't like the way this was handled. Now, we've
been asking the question, when were we going to hear
some sort of a whether it be an apology or
anything from Deshaun Watson at any point during the course
of this whole thing. So before the game on Friday,
(17:26):
he spoke with the Didi kikah Wala of NFL Network,
and she's done some stuff she doesn't I don't know,
if you're out man, she doesn't well, you know, I
mean sometimes thank you. I appreciate it. Appreciate it. He
really does stund up my brother. Hey, I mean he
said it fast to most people, kind of go slowly.
(17:51):
She does a good job, by the way, and um,
she had the you know, kind of probably an uncomfortable
task of asking him some questions and Deshaun Watson responded
to those and here was the brand new starting quarterback
of the Cleveland Browns. I want to say that I'm
truly sorry to all the women that I've impacted in
this situation. Um My decisions that I made in my
(18:13):
life that put me in this position I would definitely
like to have back. But I want to continue to
move forward and grow and learn and and show that
you know, I am a true person of character, and
I want to keep pushing forward. I know I have
a lot of work to put in, especially on the field,
to be able to make Sewan ready to play whenever
that time comes, whenever I can step back on the field.
But also the biggest thing is I want to continue counseling,
(18:36):
and I want to make sure that I'm growing as
a person, as an individual for my decision making on
and off the field. And I want to make sure
that you know, I'm just evolving in the community as
much as possible. And that's for the Cleveland community, that's
the NFL community and beyond something a little bit to
you guys. Uh yeah, a little bit more looking at
(18:58):
her a look like at the beginning, I was like,
is this de Shaun wasn'tor Mike Tyson. Yeah, it was
a little bit of that. I was just wondering whose
community that they're going to be okay with him evolving it.
That was the first thing I got about. I didn't
even I wasn't even worried about getting broke my back's
(19:18):
Mike Tyson drops, I'm gonna eat your children, final final one.
My back Like they sounded out of the same My
back is broken problem. Turn off your station, Shawn Watson,
I want to even I broke my back. That's a
(19:40):
good call to Sean. What was the what was the
issue with the game on Friday night? I broke my back?
Massage therapist, you have a caroblem turn off your station.
Oh man, Um, it's a litt it's a little late
(20:01):
for this, right, like apology that everyone was winning on
two years ago when all this came about, that like
the alleged victims were waiting on everyone else. I mean,
it's a little late for that at this point to shot, Like,
I don't know what is going on with the NFL though,
Like that's what's more baffling about this whole entire thing.
They let him hit the field, but they controlled the
(20:26):
entire appeal process. I mean, this is, ladies and gentlemen.
This is a kangaroo court. Okay. This is not like
a real setup of like an actual core room or
anything legitimate at this point. I mean it is set
up so the NFL and Roger Goodell get exactly what
they want. Roger Goodell appoints an arbitrator and Peter G.
(20:46):
Harvey to be able to give the punishment verdict that
he wants and when he wants. If they wanted to
institute it or implement it before this preseason game, they
could have. They chose not it. Why why? Like you
have to ask yourself why the NFL is dragging its
feet at this point? And I I think I said
(21:09):
as a while back, and I'm starting to like truly
believe it's not a conspiracy, but it probably borders more
on that. To you, Jonas, they have to be gauging
the public outrage or reaction to him hitting the field
to then decide, do we want to extend the punishment
but not for the entire year? Do we want to
(21:29):
make it eight games and a five million dollar five
which reportedly has been with Deshaun Watson would settle for
right now? Do we want to make it twelve games
and a ten million dollar fine? You know what's gonna
happen if if that's what we either settle on or
we decide. I mean, I think all those things are
in play right now, because otherwise this is a case closed,
(21:53):
slam shut. You close the door and you say the
full season and you give him a fine on top
of it. Isn't that what we're you can once as
he said that publicly, Yeah, Dove Kleiman, who covers the NFL,
said that he he talked to a source that said
a full season as a slam dunk, that that's how
this is gonna go. He's gonna get popped. A full season.
(22:14):
I don't wanted to see the field in the seventeen
regular season games. Why are you allowing your league the
shield any any place that they go the Browns go
to a preseason? Why are you allowing this to continue
to look bad, you know, for optics and everything else
for your league, just to spend them making the media
(22:37):
Right now, what's the point you don't make any money
off the preseason? Doesn't make any sense to me. Do
you think part of this could be because the longer
they wait, the worst thing it is for the Browns, right,
the more difficult someone's gonna throw a massage table onto
the field. I'm telling you, man, if you get somebody
strong enough. Hey, there's these foldable ones strong enough. There's
(22:57):
these foldable ones. It looked like a briefcase. You could
throw those things out on the field. They're made of
like like like light food. Yeah, I don't know, bamboo
or something. I mean that you could launch those things.
They got hit by one of those those tables. Tables
probably need a massage right there on the field, went
out went out on injury due to and now on
(23:17):
the pub list due to uh unidentified flying object that
they got hit by. And then it turned out to
be a massage table lying beside. I mean you would
have to assume that that Deshaun Watson is culpable for
that injury as well. Yes, I would think so. I
mean that's on him. And also, do you think the
(23:37):
NFL is waiting this out just to screw the Browns
because they're pissed at the daily got and how much
they paid him and the fact that they welcomed hi
Man with a record setting contract. What does it matter
waiting out though? I mean just saying, like if they
wait closer to the season, does it put the Browns
in a more difficult spot because they don't know whether
or not he's gonna be there. We know he's not
playing the first six games, Like, what does it matter
(23:59):
after that? I mean you'd assume, like, hey, we have
to get someone ready. I I can't imagine they want
to drag this out and let him play in another game.
Wouldn't imagine that they would allow for him to play
in this game this past Like if he was getting
it like this from Jaguar fans in a preseason game. Okay,
what imagine New York? Imagine any other Okay, Brady, you
(24:19):
played in that division, what what fan base is going
to give it to him? The Baltimore it's here, honestly,
like Pittsburgh, I feel like we're probably I mean, even
though we never had success in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh was probably
actually I would say the most like respectful. I don't
(24:40):
know if it's the fact of that. And then don't
get me wrong, it's a hated rob with those terrible towels.
You don't think that, but it was different like Cincinnati.
They're they're drunk ist, so there you're gonna hear some
foul stuff like it's since like Cincinnati actually might be
the most creative and have the worst, but Baltimore is
pretty tough too. Like Baltimore, you'll you'll get kind of
little bit of that Baltimore accent to you know, with
(25:02):
with with some things that are said. Um, but I
actually always thought Pittsburgh fans were one of the best
fan bases, maybe the best. But there was just more
like a respect I think for like the game, football,
everything else. I'm not gonna say it was like we're
last year, but lack of better world, That's where I
was almost gonna say, have cool, we have cool. Oh
(25:25):
there's heckling. But it ain't like Baltimore, Cincinnati. Cincinnati get
you know, really good heckling and like make you want
to go up and get them. Kansas City. I'll never
forget how bad I got heckled in Kansas City. Bad.
They're bad. They seem like a kind of like like
a family oriented. They were people that were behind our bench.
(25:47):
We're going deep in. I mean, unforgiving with the words
they were using. Yeah, I don't know. Man, Philly's pretty
bad too, the Phi Respicable Billy is the worst. And honestly,
like Cleveland is right up there. But like, I don't
think they're gonna be saying stuff for the shot. Maybe
(26:08):
I'm wrong. Maybe they'll turn on the pretty quick. That
would be interesting because that was a conversation that ensued.
Is is one thing to get heckled and booed when
you're on the road. But will he get heckled and
booed by his own fan? But if he pays like that?
Hell yeah for that? About the money? You how many
people are working people in Cleveland, Ohio are are sitting
(26:30):
there looking at this schooling. Well we traded for and
we paid him, he better perform, Like that's the thought
like anything less than a super Bowl there, This dude
is gonna be harassed the rest of his career. Yeah,
it's gonna be Uh, it's gonna be tough. Well, they
play again on Sunday, and they're gonna be at home
against the Philadelphia Eagles. They're gonna let it rat They're
going for I can't imagine why not just let him
(26:51):
play the whole entire preseason and then offer the you know,
the punishment. I mean, I get, although I would say this,
if your NFL network, you're probably thinking of yourself, please
please let me play. Want to watch? I want to see.
They want to want to see how this whole thing
plays out. I just don't know that the NFL lets
(27:12):
this sing drag out any longer. I know. Well, I
figured we'll get it right one week we actually said
it with the first I know it is. This has
gone on way too long, man, good, somebody speed this
up fast. Um. All right, we were brought to you

is a new update, so to speak, on a kind
of a strange situation in the NFL involving one of
their stars. We will get into that for you right
here on FS are be sure to catch live editions
(27:55):
of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady, Quinn, LaVar,
Arrington and on Us Knocks week days at six am East,
three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I
Heart Radio. So this is the update we've got here
on Tom Brady's hiatus, his time away from the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Also,
(28:17):
I've seen Ian rappaport Um put this out as well
too from NFL Network that it has nothing to do
with Tom Brady's health or the health of his family
that he is taking time away from camp and so
this was planned. No medical emergencies, no, nothing like that.
I've seen the work work life balanced thing brought up, nothing,
(28:39):
nothing at all. Just he needs a vacation, Yeah, he
needs a mid camp vacation. Yeah. A lot of guys
get highatus time. If you're a vet, I've seen that
happened an extended weekend because you're not going to play.
I mean I've never I've never seen it where the
player didn't, you know, I guess, attend the game, hang around, right,
(29:05):
But if I mean, I've seen I've heard of guys
like not having to stay at the hotel or whatever,
get to go home for a couple of days and
extended weekend, especially if it was a home game. It
has led to some wild speculation, right, I've seen everything
from like, hey, it's about Todd Briddy and Giselle and
all this stuff, and it's just like, Okay, whatever it's about,
(29:26):
that's his choice. And I think we also tend to
when we can't understand things on the outside, go, well,
it's got to be something more. It can't just be
the fact that he's forty five years old, the starting
quarterback of an NFL team and he just needs a
break in preseason. It's like, come on, folks, do you
not think he knows this offense? Defense? Is he's seeing
(29:49):
everything like the back of his hand. I mean, honestly,
like maybe it is just that maybe he just said,
like if I'm gonna come back and do this. I'm
gonna need a break and maybe he you know that
out with Todd Bowles, because I promise you this be
a probably wasn't gonna let him do it as a
head coach, Bill Belichick wasn't gonna let him do it
as a head coach. So give me where he's at,
(30:11):
giving the level of play he's been at, Like, I
don't think being a camp he you know it's gonna
help him. The biggest thing he has asked to avoid
is an injury. So this is probably the best thing
for the Bucks and for Tom Brady, which means it's
it's the best thing for them combine. So I don't
I don't know what exactly you know, the thought is
behind it. If it is just rest and recuperation and
(30:34):
taking a break before seventeen game season, I get it.
This guy's done it for so long now, like we're
venturing into a territory where I don't know that it
needs an explanation because everything he's doing is inexplicable, Like
what he's able to accomplish at his age is unheard of.
It will never be done again, YEA, Just like the
(30:54):
whole speculating on everything. Okay, what's the wildest thing you
guys have heard about it? Hum and Gisel like, oh,
there there must be some some problems there, you know,
could it be a divorce. It was already pred discussed.
It was already predetermined. It made me feel like it
might be like school or something like that, like you
(31:14):
want still a little bit of time to to you know,
take your kids to school or whatever it may be
because the school year is starting back up. I mean
you're not doing it. Yeah, you're not doing it once
the season starts, right, So that's a good point. It
could be that. I mean, it was predetermined and it
was prediscussed. Like I said, wedding, it could have possibly
been a wedding that he needed to he wanted to
(31:35):
go to, wanted to attend. I mean, regardless of what
it is, it's it's not our business what for certain.
But but it's also like one of those things where
it's like, okay, it became public knowledge, it's being discussed
in in the public, and it's you know, I think
it's there's also the idea of it, like the humanistic
side where it's like I just hope everything is okay.
(31:58):
You know, at least for for people who have good,
good natured uh, you know, thoughts about you know, certain
certain things like this. I mean, there's probably going to
be the other people, like you said, is like are
they getting divorced? Man like, oh, it's just tell leaving
him Like who finally had enough? You know, it's like
whoa hold on? Even if they are, who cares? Like,
(32:21):
it's not our business. Um. By Ben Volan, who covers
the NFL, he was on with Colin Cowherd recently, and
he said that he was at practice, uh watching the
Bucks and that Tom Brady looked miserable. Quote, I don't
think he loves the humidity in Tampa. It's very swampy
out here. Every morning. His buddy Gronk is retired. That's
(32:43):
his running mate, that's his guy. Now he looks over
the field and he's throwing to other guys. Uh. And
then he put mentioned the injury to Ryan Jensen and
he said there's a lot of things going on with
the team. And we also know playing with the Bucks
was not his number one wish this year. So that
according to Ben being who Miami would have been as
number one wish, right, So apparently if he was in Miami,
he wouldn't have the maybe not the ten day hiatus.
(33:05):
Who knows the folks and you know Tampa Bay that
you know the city after. I love how people pretend
like he was being held hostage, like he had to
come back to Tampa. He didn't have to come back
at all. But he didn't have to come back at all.
But if he wanted to play, you had to come
back to town. Yeah, but that's that's fine. But he
didn't have to come back. It's like he has options.
(33:26):
He can just walk away. He can walk away. It's
not like he doesn't have a TV contract waiting for
him at PAM thirty seven point five million dollars per year.
It's not like that's waiting for I mean, imagine having
a ten year deal that way. By the way, when
you say that Jesus Man, Yeah, we didn't bring up
Top Bowls. By the way, Like we we talked about
(33:49):
Tampa Bay fans, Tampa Bay, the team, you know, being
happy that they still have Tom Todd Bowls should be
happy that Tom Brady has being Top Bowls. Should make
sure that he maintains a happy Tom Brady. Like a
dissension of a disagreement discord. Uh not on the same
(34:12):
page with Tom Top Bowls and Tom Brady could be
career suicide as a head coach for Todd Bowls, Well,
it probably would be just the same thing he was
dealing with with Bruce Arians. Apparently. Yeah, But I feel
like with Bruce there there's a there's a level of
(34:35):
Bruce could withstand that he could weather that. I don't
know that Top Bowls could weather if it became a
thing like did Top Bowls just say to the media
that Tom Brady needs to do more of this or
or I was not happy with what Tom did, Like,
I don't think Top Bowls can venture down that road
(34:55):
as a head coach. With Tom Brady, well, yeah, I
mean I think the other thing is he a defensive
minded head coach. Right, It's not like like b A
was the one calling plays with Byron Leftwich and a
part of the offense. So it's a little different when
like that's the dude you're talking to throughout the game
about what we're doing. But I also look that that
led to Ba's to bias, Like you think Bruce Arians
(35:16):
just wanted to hang it up like that was exactly
how it went down. Yeah, it seemed like there's a
little more to that. So I don't know. That is
a good point that you bring up. If Bruce arians
is the head coach, he probably doesn't sign off on
ten days away from camp. There's no chance. Are you
kidding me? I mean at that point, like he's getting
ready to call games for Fox like that. That's how
that's going. Yeah, it's very very strange, by the way,
(35:41):
Todd Bowls. Wouldn't that be like a kind of a
unique name for a weed shop. You think some smartass somewhere,
some hippie who wants to open up a pot shop
somewhere is going to open up a pot shop called
Todd Bowls. You think that's ever gonna happen. Yeah, that's
a great question. We should We should get him on that.
That is a good point, wellfl coach, just I'm not
(36:03):
I don't want to ask Todd Bowles, and I just
wonder if somewhere, how do you think Todd Bowles would
handle that question? Uh? Hang, he would just he wouldn't
hang up. He'd just be like, that's that's kind of
a funny question, Like he's I mean, he played ball.
It was a defensive back. So you know, Todd was
probably like a trash talker and he's one of my lums,
(36:23):
so I got to know him. Um hold on, do
the impression again. That's kind of a funny question. Sounded
they give you amazing that's that's that's that's you know,
that's an interesting question you pose there by the way
(36:43):
he I think he made a much better job with
the Jets, and he than a lot of people getting
way better. He's a great coach man that place. I
don't fans already hate me about it. I'm just like, like,
I can't help you, all right. I've tried to help
you see the light, but no one's looking
