all right, your so guess what it's just you can't
like you can't bank on it. Every time I didn't,
I really was waiting for it. I wasn't just you
(01:08):
were banking. I was clearing my throat. He wants to
make it like a radio deal, like that's what he
wants to do. He wants to make it like this.
I didn't want to make it awkward, but I could
tell he was waiting. You know, I just figured out
be the cheap imitation. You know, listen, that is not
you were not the the store or sad Lavard. I
(01:29):
wish we could do like a segment on sad LaVar,
like where we get to do things re LaVar is
happy that things Relavar is sad. Yeah, when you're self deprecating.
When you're self deprecating, it really bothers me. I don't
like it. Does I actually find it hilarious. I personally
find one of the funnier things you do. Like you
just like that's nice take take take pleasure in my
(01:54):
my misery. I'm so glad that you're happy that when
I'm sad. No, it's just it's just sometimes you don't
do it very often. When you do it, it like
catches me off guard. That just makes me laugh. I mean,
it is kind of messed up that he takes enjoyment
in your misery. I mean, Bert, oh, I think you know.
I mean, we're going to call what it is here.
I think it's very obvious what's going on with Brady.
(02:15):
I think it's it's pretty thank you. Yeah, I think
that's a shame. But I don't know how that became racial.
I don't either. But does mystery have a color? Um? Well,
if it did, it might look might look orange or
(02:36):
whatever sort of read the Washington football team put on
together last night with the Bears and whatever? Is that
depressing for you to watch? Because they were kind of
moving the ball? Can I tell you the truth? I
actually first of all, why I could lie? You know,
I can lie. I can lie with the you're going
to do right now? No, I I love justin fields.
(02:58):
I know people look at it and go, well, he
set wide open throw, he missed this and he's not
how you can watch that game last night? And by
the way, if if that's the first Bears game people
have seen, this is what the whole season has been like.
And this is what last year looked like. He didn't
have a lot around him and he doesn't have any protection.
We talked about this earlier. He's taken a beating, yet
(03:19):
there is every like he's constantly trying to make plays
He's constantly trying to, you know, to get guys open.
He's when there there's a run down the right side
of the field, Herbert breaks away justin fields is one
of the first guys down there trying to deliver a
block to try and get out there and help them.
He's not out there blaming anybody or pointing fingers like
(03:40):
he's always trying to be accountable. Um, I just I
come away from that and I go When Matt Ebert
Flew says he showed growth in that game, a lot
of people want to scoff at it because they only
produce seven points. Then I look at it and go,
I don't think he's the problem. Like it's It's similar
to Washington when you look at Carson Wentz early in
the season, Like Carson Wentz isnt really the problem. There's
(04:01):
other things going on there, most notably their offensive line
is atrocious and he's got no time. He's got no time. Well,
you can make the case for both of them. I
think the difference in that game is at least, you know,
Washington's got a better defensive front. Chicago really doesn't have
as many guys that you are concerned with protection wise,
and they I mean they just you know, they can't
(04:25):
protect once for anything. I like their secondary, like the
Bear secondary. I think they have a good Brisker is awesome.
Like I don't know if Jackson is great. Just the
Gording kids good too. He stepping. I mean, look at
both these teams have have some young pieces. They're just
not where they need to be from a roster standpoint.
I just go back to the Chicago Bears offense. Though
(04:46):
it's tough, well, I mean, I know Luke Getsy probably
feels like he's he's got his work cut out for him.
But there's a lot of other things that they can
do formationally and with motions and ships and things to
allow Donald Moony not to be like Ice Sod sold
up at times. But um, if think about their series
they had, they drove down the field, had an interception
(05:06):
off of the back on the other helmet. That's that's
on Justin Fields. That's there's no doubt about it. You know,
Fields missed open Ryan Griffin the end zone should have
hit that one on another drive, scrambled up the next play,
and then they get stuffed on fourth and one. Um,
I mean you can literally pick through the entire game.
They had their opportunities to win that game. The bottom
line is they're a young football team. They're not as
(05:28):
talented as as some of the rest of the teams
in the NFL. And it's and it shows and and
it's gonna be it's gonna be a tough season the
rest of the way. But you're right, like Justin Fields fights,
he gives them a shot. He doesn't complain anything. He
does a lot of things better than people want to
give him credit. And he took a beating last night.
It seemed like Payne was in the backfield every single play.
(05:52):
Every play he was knocking Justin Fields on his ass
like every single play. But you know, listen that there
was a feel good story came out of this game.
Brian Robinson, who was making his first NFL start. Now
if your call, he was the guy who was actually
shot a couple of times. And yeah, there was an
attempted robbery in late August before the season. He got
(06:14):
shot a couple of times, and so he's been out
for the entire season. He's been working to come back
into the and for Washington. He gets into the game
last night, first NFL start, and he scores a touchdown
and ended up being the game winning touchdown for the
Washington Commandos. And then afterwards he was talking with the
people on Amazon and he was sitting up there with
(06:36):
Tony Gonzalez and you know, Fitzpatrick and Richard Sherman and
Chrissa Thompson, and he was trying to talk about his
story and his journey, and Bear fans decided, if you
listen closely that we're still in attendance, to go ahead
and uh give a little piece of advice to a
little Danny Snyder and the Washington Commandos every day. You know,
(06:57):
I came in to prepare, you know, so I can
know how the opportunity like this, You make it sound easy.
It's just so again the Chicago Bear fans, it wasn't
all lost. They gave strict instructions to little Danny Snyder team.
Michael's basically just said, how about that? How Michael said,
(07:19):
you know, gut feeling, I think the NFL which just
wants Dan Snyder to sell the team, which just code
for he does have a lot of dirt on a
lot of people and instead of just taking everybody down,
just sell the team and let's get away. From this
nicely here, So it's not going to happen. Yeah, Danny
is going Listen, it's going to get way ugly, or
(07:41):
before it gets better, I'll tell you that. Now, you
guys used to be closed. Is there any chance we
can get were like clothes close? Can we get him
on the show? Little Danny used to call me? I
don't know, Hey, why why don't you tell him? Hey,
we want to hear your side of the story and
then let's ambush him on the air. You want to
do that? Come on, I don't want to be any
poor to this. Whatever is about? Did happened right now?
(08:02):
What do you mean? Come on? I don't know what
you just said a lot of things that like I
don't even think are legal. Well, no, just like bring
them on and say, hey, like we just want to talk.
We just want to talk. We want to talk and
hear your side of the story and then ask the
hard hitting questions what's really going on? You know, there's
nothing wrong with asking questions that that that's your journalistic
(08:22):
integrity of that. Listen, why do you think I would
love to do a one on one interview with Dan Snyder?
Do you think I ever happen. No, okay, what about
what about a three on one US three of vers him?
I think that happen. Not in it. I'm not going
to do it. It's too bad. Shame. Uh Well, we
do have an update though, because we did have some
(08:44):
over unders on the game last night. We did did
I get Did I get screwed? God? I got screwed
on one? That I It's it's such b s that
he keeps track of this crap and then he has
to point it out in real time while it's going on.
And so let's go ahead. We're gonna take a look
back at over unders from Thursday night. Yeah, thank you,
(09:07):
that's true. It's very all right. So I take it away.
What do we got? Time to put your money where
your mouth is. You know you're lying life. It's over
under all right, lead the lap. What's what's the damage.
Let's go one by one. I'm actually looking at it
(09:27):
a little differently here, but we started with the point
total of thirty eight. Everybody hit the under on that
passing in rushing yards for justin fields one ninety passing
eighty eight rushing, he hit the over of to fourteen
and a half. He was in the two seventies, Carson
Wentz interceptions is what we must be play. Who whoa lee?
Who had the over? Under of that? I had to
(09:49):
under on that. I'm pretty certain you're not telling us
who had what I have Jonas and Brady hitting the over? Yeah,
I mean that is that what you're supposed to do
that and it's I did rush. By the way, there
there are three people that are on the Justin Fields
Defense League. It's Brady, myself and Albert Brier. Albert Brier
(10:10):
loves Justin I know, like he's going after He's going
after Rich Eyes and on on Twitter quite often. By
the way, do you see Mike Florio last night? Every
time Justin Fields got hit, whether it was lower body
or in the sternum, Mike Florio is asking, why are
they chucking it for a concussion? Dude, stay in your barn,
(10:31):
have a white sin and stop. I just stop. But
don't watch go go watch the Dahmer documentary. Go go
go watch some guy in glasses and bifocals eating human beings.
If he did watch that, so tired of it, like
you have options, don't watch, go somewhere else. Well, he can't.
(10:52):
He can't get play about COPD anymore. So he's got
to do this with the concussion. Oh my god, man, sorry? Ley?
What else we got? Was it? LaVar? Is that what got?
I don't know? Yeah? How many track is? Will there
be any new ones show up talking about accusing? H alright,
(11:14):
what else are GOI? Alright, So Jonas and Brady you
both hit the over on Justin Fields. Brady, you hit
the under on Carson Wentz interceptions no interceptions for Carson Wentz,
Lavarn Lavarn. I vote to go over on Carson. Guys
there actually hold on, hold on, hold on? What was
at a half? Yeah? That was disrespectful, disrespectful, but I
(11:43):
would distinctly remember that. Yeah, you scoffed at a half,
and I would still say that today. I still't say
that today. The sun shines on a blind dog's as
at least one time? What it is? Yeah? Next one
we fellas we had shortest touchdown at one and a half.
(12:04):
Jonas was the only one who hit the under with
Brian Robinson's one yard touchdown, and then we all had
hit the over on the sax five and a half.
I mean that was easy. First off. Yeah, I was
gonna say that was that was there was There was
a goal line stand where I literally texted Jonas and
there you go. Yeah, the Bears went for it on
(12:25):
literally there was an opportunity early in the game because
there was the interception. Then they got down to the
goal line again. They moved the ball fine, there was
no issue there. And then they got down to the
goal line and they gave it to Herbert and and
it was like, good god, they got stopped again. It
wasn't even close, and my phone buzzes. I didn't think
the play was over. I think he had just gotten
to the pile at the line of scrimmage and Brady's like,
(12:47):
there go here under on one and a half yard touchdown.
I'm like, come on, dude, like let the let the
body stiffing up a little bit before you start to
remind me of how bad I am a betting. It's
just it couldn't have gone any worse. Where you're thinking,
like that ball was on like the two foot line
and they still got stuck. That's weird. It's weird. That's weird.
(13:09):
So who ended up winningly? What was the final tally?
Final tally? Jonas, you were four in one. Brady, you
also were four in one LaVar three and two, and
that actually changes the uh the season totals. Brady still
holds the lead twenty two and eight. Jonas, you leap
frog LaVar this week, and LaVar, you're right there eighteen
and twelve. Yeah, don't. I don't care. I really don't
(13:32):
care who wins. I really don't care who gets them, right,
I really I really don't care. Good on you guys
know we really could care less. Why that was just
my that was my Brady Quinn personation. They I'll be honest.
I also I also don't care. I just like Jonas
(13:55):
is better, that is entertaining, that is that like, that's
what I was hoping he would. I was hoping he
would not get the under on one and a half
yard LaVar. If you want to do the Brady Quinn,
you gotta master the dismissive tone. Right. I thought it
was pretty good, well now, but it's got It wasn't
dismissive enough. At least say something about what the records was,
(14:18):
and I'll give you my Brady Quinn alright. Brady still
in the lead at twenty two and eight. Jonas leap
frog for the second place in nineteen and eleven, and
LaVar you're right there at eighteen and twelve. I mean,
who cares all r Yeah, I'll pay the ten dollars.
I'll give to the same charity. Those loser Jets fans
are going to get it. Who cares? Gotta be more dismissive.
(14:42):
It's pretty good. Dropped you like, dropped your tone a
little bit too there. It's the sound effects for me
lead it to you already know where are you talking
like this? Though you're talking like like you're talking to
to to hit you with that? Who cares? You know
what's coming? There's so much disgusted And the best part
(15:15):
is the best part. I don't care his uh very
what we were talking about. One time I was like, man,
I love your dismissive tone, and then I got a
text from his buddy Jake, who was like, dismissive tone
right on. They've been trying to identify what it was
all these years, like that's what it is. Nobody makes
(15:35):
you feel worse about what you just said than Brady Quinn.
He has attack for it. Top it is. It's really
but I've got I've got hooligans for friends, and we
will be doing something as a group, and as I'm
sure you guys can relate, you'll have buddies, guys start
(15:56):
having a few few adult beverages, and then next thing,
you know, no one can make a coherent decision. And
I'm like, guys are talking about things that I've already
thought about, I've already mapped out, planned out, and yet
they're still trying to like figure out like where we're going,
or what's happening next and this and that. I'm like, guys, like,
(16:18):
what are we doing? I do tend to get dismissive
sometimes in those scenarios. It's great. Hey By, did you
see the picture that was sent over you on the
side of a Wendy's window. I don't know where in
the country it was, but I know at least at
one Wendy's. There's the big newon kickoff. Guys. There there's
you Rob Stone. I forget I think it was Liner.
I love that I get all of these these text
(16:40):
messages correspondents as well. You know, it's great. I love
how you like to brag about it. Jonas, like, you know,
let's tell you, man, do do we think there will
be someone out this week with a what about me
pack then, m I mean, here's what we need. If
you are listening to this, we need something speci sipic
(17:00):
to LaVar about Penn State. Either we are throw the
hooks up something like that. Well, we are not specific
to city. That is very true Stick City. I could
I could see that. Although I due with Carter now
because I said I'd send you that flag or that sign.
Oh no, no, I meant to send you the clip.
So when we were coming back from a break, there
(17:20):
was a sign that said Stick City and said I'm
dual Carter on it, and I was gonna cut it
off and send it to you a completely. But that's
the problem is, like we it has to be specific
to LaVar. Well, stick City is specific to me. It's
it's a it's a place. It's a place. You know,
I'm the president. You know, I'm the commander in chief
(17:41):
of Stick City, the mayor, the mayor of six cities.
I thought it was Matt McLoyd. I thought he coined
the phrase. It wasn't Y's bear, that's beer. Now if
he had said stick City bear, then I'm definitely going
for it. Would you would you have fought him if
(18:01):
it was Sticking I don't resort the valence. You know,
I'm not. I'm not the valent type. But I might
have legally fought him. It's seven on seven. Then it
gets a little out of I did not fight in
that seven situation. I was merely trying to keep those
parents from from um getting themselves arrested by hitting miners.
(18:25):
You know so well, listen, I think I was prepared
to lay them down. I was. I was prepared to
shut them down if need be. But I'm not a
valent man. You know, I'm a thinker. We gotta have
something specific for LaVar, something on a sign, a big
new care. It's like stiff arm me, LaVar, because of
what happened in Iowa City last year. LaVar, stiff Army.
(18:48):
You're getting too You're you're too hard. You know, you're
doing too much throwing out ideas. Idea, guy, that's what
I'm doing here, here, here the idea. Guys that would
But when we saw the pac Man or was that,
it was yeah, so we should be Let's go for
(19:09):
pac Man. Let's go pack, let's go round back. Then,
let's see let's see an arbor can bring the Let's
go back, go Blue, go blue. It's the funniest thing
that we never said it correctly and you pointed it out.
(19:32):
What about me, pac Man? I never said, that's not
what's ever said in the movie. But I think that's bird.
Oh that did that? Bird started coming on radio like
what about me? I think we just forgot how great
the movie Colors was that? Uh yeah, did we forget it?
Burn through it on and he just started doing impressions
like what are you doing? Color that movie a great movie?
(19:54):
I was wondering the same thing, you know, like that's
a little I think that that was If someone can
also just write basic instinct on a sign, that would
be great too. That would be that that would be
really good. That's definitely what we did. I don't think
that's likely the happen if they if they had a
picture of Douglas, which Douglas is he again? If they
(20:19):
had a picture of Michael Douglas when he's looking at
women in movies, that that would be pretty pretty hilarious.
Make you wasn't he married to Katherine Zita Jones? Yes,
he was, Yeah, he same. I don't know that he
still is. What do you mean, I don't know that
he still is what's positive? He is? You're almost yeah,
he is? Yeah. Come on, man, you looked it up.
(20:41):
Love is strong. Thank you, Burto, Thank you for pointing
that out. I'm sure he still is. Be sure to
catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup of
Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week
days at six am Eastern three am Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the Hard Radio Whip. So the Miami Dolphins,
(21:02):
who have been a topic of conversation for various reasons
throughout the course of the NFL season thus far, they
had their head coach come out and talk about a
leadership move in the locker room when it comes to
a ping pong table that was removed. For those of
you that forgot, we talked about this yesterday, But here
was Mike McDaniel expressing how big a fan he was
(21:22):
of Tyreek Hill and some of the leaders getting rid
of that pesky ping pong table. Tyreek and the captains
decided that, you know, they wanted to take a step
forward with all of their opponent prep with regard to
the team and their preparation with our game plans in general.
So that so he made the move to take the
ping pong tables out of locker room. That to me
(21:43):
is leadership totally and and here to confirm the only
one that like super funny. We want to prep better,
so we decided to remove the ping pong Lamar, I
don't know why you're laughing at this, because Tye Rekill
confirmed exactly what Mike McDaniel said as the reason why
(22:04):
they got rid of the ping pong table. You know what, man,
I got a brand new ping phone table coming for
the guys. You know what, I just decided to get
like all Dick dot miam mc dolphins ping phone table
for the guys because the ping phone table we had
and here with just too basics. So I feel like
the guys man like, they really deserve like something brand new.
So that's what we're gonna roll with, dog, a brand
new ping phone table. I don't get into all the
(22:25):
analytics give it to take it away. I don't give
it that that's it Indian give me. So that's something
that my grandparents ain never teach me to be. That's
not what I am. So I feel like the guy
needed a brand new the ping phone table. Man. The
real focus guys being more focused and taking the phones. Man, Hey,
look there is a professional athletes dog, you know, like
this is our job, this is our livelihood. I can
(22:45):
look every guy in his eye, you know, and stand
in front of this whole team to look and just
look at the faces on this team and tell you
that every guy on this team is focused. You know,
every guy on this team has the same goal, you know.
And that's the wind game, you know, Like we don't
come up, we don't drive all the way up here
and just said we're gonna play pink pong today. No,
that's not what we do. Like I always ob used
to go out there play football. Man, you know, having
(23:07):
pink pong is nice. But I just feel like the
guys like we just needed like a you know what
I'm saying, like a like a better table, you know
what I'm saying. If that's not a spoof, there's something.
There are so many things wrong with that. I mean,
that is there's so many things wrong interview. I'm gonna
(23:28):
tiptoe around what was said earlier in the Yeah Yeah,
I just focused on the on the pink Polly that
was the original yeah the U any facility that was
ever in that had like a player's lounge or something.
It was always a waste of space. It was the
(23:49):
dumbest thing. Like guys mostly if they were gonna like
play cards, they were in the locker room like they were,
they were hanging out with their lockers doing something there.
Maybe maybe wherever you were eating. But a lot of times,
depending on the place you're at, you might have people
who from the front office or other portions of the
organization come down to eat two So they don't want
(24:10):
to be around all players, like like they try to
schedule the times when you're eating, when when the business
folks are not in there, Like that's the last thing
they want to do is have everyone kind of, you know,
inter mingle. So I just I've always viewed it as
such a waste of time and space because no one's
like wasting their time playing ping pong. Guys are usually
(24:30):
in there, they're working, they're getting treatment, they're working out there,
you know, or they're headed home. They want to get
back to their families, so they want to get back
to whatever else they have going on. Um in Christian
McCaffrey's case, Olivia coopo. But I digress that. I'm just
saying in Miami. I'm sure there's there's other Olivia coupos
down in Miami. The my point is it's it's such
(24:53):
a waste of space and even to give it any
thought whatsoever. Like, trust me, I've played on any of
bad teams out of ping pong tables, pool tables, none
of that crap matter whether you had it in there
or not. People aren't playing it either way. That's not
the distraction. There's other things going on, trust me, m
I mean, it's too bad. You know, I thought for
sure they were on the same page. Now, now Mike
(25:17):
McDaniel is going to be asked about this, correct and
what do what do you gives? Your response is going
to be well, I was given bad information or I
never spoke with Tyrek about it, Like its just the
whole thing. It just looks weird. It just seems like
Mike McDaniel ran with something to try and paint a
better picture of the locker room, and then Tyreek Hill
turned around and said, what are you talking about? I
(25:37):
just wanted to get a better what do you mean
it'll be here. I got one that's all decked out here.
I just forget analytics, forget all that complicated stuff. I
ain't trying to be no giver. I'm just saying it
just to make sure I get us some good tables,
some good ping pong sticks, some top notch ping pong balls.
(25:58):
You know backgrounds, so you can you you know you can.
You can train and and learn how to be a
better ping pong, a more masterful ping. He went to
opposite direction. He trying to, uh, trying to get these
pros to be more pros. I plan some ping pong.
It's so dumb, man, It just it's dumb. Is interesting,
(26:19):
it sounds It just was very very remedial if you
ask me, is it's just a remedial conversation. And it's unnecessary,
like it was an unnecessary deal, Like this is one
of those stories where it's like you look silly by
the way it comes out and by the way it sounds,
but it was avoidable, Like who cares. I don't care
why they have ping pong tables or even why they
(26:42):
got rid of them. Who cares you shed light on it?
And now y'all look like something like y'all off. I
ain't gonna say the word I was gonna say, but
it just it's off that that's that's weird. That's weird
that that would be down response, the downfall of their season.
That's do with ping pong, man. I mean, although, let
(27:05):
me ask, do you guys remember the Dolphins were like
that hot team to have got heard that ping pong
got in the way. Yeah, like that's gonna be the
narrative about this teah. Yeah, there's seven and ten football
if for that damn ping pong. I mean, what if,
like what Miami ping bones? Like, what if we find
out later that one of the concussions to have got
(27:26):
was from a ping pong paddle that came flying out
of somebody's hand. I mean, I'm just saying like that,
you know, we we don't know. These are dangerous times
in the NFL. You gotta be careful when it comes
to this stuff. I mean, I don't know if you
got to be as careful as Tyreek Hill should be
got knocked over. That can cuss because it was a
very very intense game of ping pong going on, and
(27:51):
that's why ping pong has become a thing. Now. That's
a great point. By the way, if you guys had
to choose what would be your game of choice in
a locker room if you had to choose, and I know,
listen and nobody was playing games in a locker room.
Go ahead, just in a locker room, right in a facility, okay, facility.
Who cares locker room facility from the say locker room,
(28:15):
because I like where you're going. There's a different What
which game are you guys going with? What do you
look at? Pong or ping pong? You could go air hockey,
you could go corn hoole, stiff two, stiff towe so
American gladiator type game that's good. Stiffed out fencing, stiff
(28:36):
towel fencing that seems like a guard Yeah, stiff tow
pole voting, Golden Tea? What about? What about Golden Tea?
That's like any arcade game. Yeah, man, I for sure
I'd beat anybody here on Golden Tea for sure. Stiff
to put Yeah, I mean, like, Brady, come on, what
(28:57):
game are you doing with stiff tow pool table? Probably
the ping pong balls and the locker It's like that
those balls gonna get hit wherever, and sometimes there's spots
you do not want that ping pong ball to go.
Once it goes there, it's not coming back. It's a
good point. So a lot of places your hockey, it
could happen with the postif to air hockey. Yeah, Golden
(29:18):
tea would probably the one that would be the safest. Yeah.
I just wondering, badminten. Not enough room for a badminten? Uh,
you know, set up there? Pick a ball? But what
is the latest craze with pickle ball? Why is everyone
into pickleball now? Tom Brady just bought a team I saw.
I think lebron just invested in a team. What is this?
(29:39):
I've never seen pickleball in my life, but for some reason,
this is like the new hot thing. What is it?
Is it basically ping pong but outdoors. It's it's like
ping pong but outdoors in like a little more space
and movement, but not quite tennis. It's like not quite
doubles tennis. But it's kind of similar to those interesting
well listen, who knows. But I think the problem is
(30:01):
it's like, to me, a little less movement and lazier
form of tennis, so like more pages and people can
do it because you don't have to move quite as much.
So it's like almost like I don't know, kind of
like our society like We're just gonna get a little
bit lazier, Like, hey, this tennis sports fun, but I
gotta run around too much. We cut this cord down
a little bit, making it a pickle. Yep, Okay, here
(30:23):
we go. It is two pro brackets are smaller too,
aren't they? Yeah, very different, a different type of ball
like paddles. Like, what is wrong with you? What do
you mean? I just opened my text messages like what
I'm researching. I'm researching Christian McCaffrey's rehab. I don't know
why I'm being criticized here. I'm trying to do my
job on the show. Injury or whatever you want to
(30:46):
call it, I'm doing my That looks like a very
very bad injury. Yeah, bad, definitely does. It's kind of
kind of injury to keep me out of the house.
Tell you all right. It is two pros and a
cup of Joe. Here. Fox Sports Radio LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
(31:06):
Jonah Stocks of the Year you can hang out with
us is always on the I Heart Radio app Rights.
We are going to get to maybe the game of
the year thus far in the NFL, and an interesting
statistics surrounding it that will be coming up here shortly,
but for all the latest from around the world of sports.
A man who will never play pickle ball because he
can't stand pickles, the one and only Eddie Garcia that
is that is actually very true? Is it? Is it
(31:27):
just dill pickles or bread and butter? Eddie? Why they're disgusting?
You don't like a good crunchy pickle on the side
of a sandwich? Just bite into that bad? What about
fried Pichs agrees? I'm with you. I'm with you, Eddie.
Justice is gross for the seal pickles. Growing up, like
(31:50):
we would go to the corner store and get a deal. Yeah,
would you go? What would you do? Classic? Are you?
Guys would go to the local on the local picks
they have giant pickles in a jar. Yeah. Jim Harbaugh
gave me a story one time about them not being
(32:11):
able to throw a touchdown passes in the red zone,
and he compared it to a pickle jar and said,
you know, he's like, you ever eating pickles? I got
no coach. I hate pickles. He goes, Oh, he guess what.
You probably won't understand this. Then he goes, but sometimes
that first one is really, really hard to get out
of the jar. He's like, but once you get it out,
he goes, then the rest start to come. That's like,
that's what we need to do. Yeah, Like, okay, now
(32:35):
I gotta I gotta go. But my mom told me
when I was a kid that when she was a child,
they used to have peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, that
it was a real thing. Yeah. But yeah, really, like
I gotta talk now, and I gues's really your most
(33:00):
hated food item. I mean, it's it's up there. It's
you know, you don't like pickled hallopenios that come so
good man, we're talking, you know, just regular pickles, Roberto,
I don't know what you're exotic. You know you didn't
do it likes races. Yeah, yeah, pickle pens before. But
(33:28):
I thought you were going in a different direction with
this pickled. He was all right, so pickled all the
penis or hall of penos. But yeah, they put vinegar
in it so it's not as spicy, but it's just
pick They put them in the jars. Like that's that's pickling.
I mean, if you got balls, you can you got balls,
you go fresh hallopenio. You don't take the seeds out
if you got balls. But these way though, they don't
(33:50):
get it. There, Berto said, all right, all right to
Molly Daniel, Hey, how about that Thursday. I'll tell you
(34:10):
what I will say this. I think I might rather
bite into a pickle than watch that football. Come o.

Sports Illustrated, and I'm Joe Madden, and we're gonna be
around to talk a little bit about manage real decisions,
playoff games, and what may have accredited to the dug
out maybe in the nineteen eighties. I can't wait for this, Joe.
We're gonna dive into what goes on in the dugout
(34:54):
and behind the scenes in Major League Baseball, cars, wind
whatever else we want to talk about. Listen to the
Book of Joe Podcast on the I Heart radio app
on Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. So
maybe early on. The game of the year in the
NFL that we are looking forward to this weekend is
we've got the Bills at the Chiefs. This is in
the late window. On Sunday Primetime will be Cowboys Eagles,
(35:19):
So we're gonna get this one in the late window
with the late afternoon slash evening time slot games. And
right now a little bit of history because for the
first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, the Chiefs are
underdogs at home. So the Buffalo Bills are favorite going
into this game. And you guys actually said earlier this
(35:41):
week that you would have guessed the line being the
Bills favored by three. It's been hovering around three. Buffalo
is a two and app point favorite right now on
DraftKings in Kansas City. And if you're wondering, well, how
does Patrick Mahomes perform as an underdog in the NFL
during the course of his career, Yeah, he's six o
one one and he's actually five and two straight up.
(36:02):
So when they're the underdog, five and two is his
record to win the game outright, which is why I
love me some Kansas City at home this weekend. Give
me the Chiefs thinking about that, Brady Quinny, don't you
take that to your your betting friends. I think I
think you could definitely make a case for it. Um.
I think, you know, whenever we throwout historical stats, I
(36:24):
always kind of just shrug and go it's great for
the narrative and for listeners. It doesn't mean that that
matters for this individual circumstance. Like it's a completely independent event.
And I think the thing I look at is right now,
Buffalo seems to be more of a complete team the
way they're playing. I'm not saying that Kansas City, you know,
(36:46):
isn't or there's not instances of of Buffalo struggle. Obviously,
they lost lost to the Dolphins. You know, Dan in Miami,
the Chiefs lost to the Colts. Help help me understand
that one, Like if you can like that's one of
those games they lost, you kind of go, yeah, I
could see how they could lose the Buffalo at home,
Like I could see how they would be an underdog
at home to Buffalo. I mean at the time of
(37:08):
which the Buffalo bill has lost to the Dolphins, it
was a tow it led team, a team that that
was their third win in a row to start off
the season, playing at a different level, you know now
than what we've seen the past few weeks. So I
could see how Kansas City would be the underdog here
and I could see how you'd want to take them.
But I think Buffalo has by and large been the
more dominant team and has probably been is if you're
(37:31):
if you're comparing rosters top the bottom, the more talented
roster between the two, I mean, the past rushed at
the upfront presence of Buffalo since von Miller has gotten
there has been different. I think that that is probably
the singular biggest factor going into this game for me.
(37:55):
And the attackles were awful last week for Casey, Like
if you watched them versus that the Raiders, they were awful.
It's that's so that to me is what's going to
be the reason why or why not if they can't
slow down that pass rush and slow them guys down. Interiorly,
speaking with ed Oliver and those guys and the way
(38:17):
those backers play with Edmunds and those guys, you know,
it might not only be a a bad game for
Casey and for Pat, it could be an ugly game
for Casey and and Pat Mahomes. So that's gonna be
the key. Can can they slow them down? Can they
block them? And if they can, you know, obviously if
(38:39):
you give, if you give him, you know, Pat Mahomes
sometime he's gonna make you pay. But this is a
really good defensive secondary as well, So you know, I
don't know. I think Leslie Fraser is doing a tremendous
and amazing job with what they got going on, and
I think that's gonna be that's gonna be the tail
of the tape. If you ask me, I think and
I would assume Romo and answer on the hall for
(39:00):
this game, right, yeah, all right, So where's the me?
I don't know. I don't know, Jim, what do you think?
See really don't really don't. Hey, hey, you're Tony Robo
is really coming together. Let me tell you something like
you've really worked on that and it shows you've definitely
(39:20):
been practicing. Can you give us a little Tony Romo
game before we got a break? Just I've been listening
to the games with you know the volume of come on.
