rough weekend. When you go back through some of the
calls that you know, in the case of the Buffalo
Bills game, I mean in real time. I remember seeing
the game Davis catch going. It looked like maybe they
need to review that or maybe the de get something.
Of course it was called a catch. It shouldn't have
been countless instances like that. And there's a call in

the San Francisco forty Niners versus the Chargers game. I'm
still baffled by what the explanation was, it was and
it was a big play because what I thought should
have been the penalty would have negated a huge game
for a go ahead touchdown for San Francisco. So I
think all across the league you're seeing lead league wide
some issues with some penalties, and uh it's it's not

getting enough attention, but it probably should because last night
that missed face mask call on the huge play, I mean,
it turned around and gave the you know, washing the
ball and in a chance to get points in getting
field goals out of it. I mean, and people listening
right now on the yallahorn of the Twin Cities Cave
and uh, they also probably feel a little bit. They

probably even feel better about the game on Sunday, knowing
that there were twelve men on the field. That was
still How in the world do you miss that you
have one job like that as two wins actually lugged
got her and scored like they mugged him like it was.

That was one of those remember when the face match

But what what I will say is, though, is you
still have to be able to play a game where

I think this is what I was just watching. When
I'm watching it, I think Washington went into this game.
It looked at Philly and said, they are a rhythm offense.

They want to get the ball, drive right down the field,
score like they did, and they want to get it back,
and they want to do it again and again and again,
and they want to get into kind of an up tempo,
fast paced rhythm, almost like it was like a basketball
game where you see sometimes like to get out and run.
They like to play fast. Washington forced them to slow down.
Washington ate up the time of possession, they ate up

the clock just running the football kind of hammering away.
And if there was one weakness coming into this game,
it was the fact that Philly, for as good as
they can be defensively, couldn't stop the run. They could
not stop the run. That's been the case the entire season.
The difference has been the offensive. It has been so
electric and people have not been able to get them
out of a rhythm that they couldn't exploit that well,

last night it finally got exploited by the physicality the
toughness of Washington and they just never felt like Jalen
Hurts and then offense can stand a consistent rhythm. Yeah,
and you know, it's it's it's funny to think. It's
odd to think for all of the surrounding Philadelphia and

them being undefeated, and you're looking at where things currently
are in the NFC East. The Cowboys are are are
at six wins and surprisingly the Commanders are at five wins.
So it's it's kind of like this whole conversation that

I've been having. So when you were off yesterday, uh Q,
we talked about, you know, Dallas and how they screwed
the pooch with with Green Bay. It's it's actually to me, now,
this is just me talking, but I think it calls
for a good conversation. Dallas could end up last in

the division. There's a possibility that Dallas could end up
lasting the pop and in the NFC East Boom. I
think they're gonna miss the playoffs just a little bit.
You're still you're still not buying I'm not buying it
the other way with that too. I don't think they'll

end up first, but you could go to the other
way so that they could finish out strong. Remember we
talked about this after the Thursday night game against Houston,
and we pointed out the fact that Philly can't stop
the run. Damian Pierce ran for over a hundred in
that game when I'm mistaken and and and that was
the one thing to where he said, Man, Other than that,
I mean, they've you know, Jalen Hurts. You know, you
can argue the m v P of the league at

this point. They've got all those weapons on offense. They
do have a good defense there Loadally, they traded for
Robert Quinn, like they've made moves and it's all there
for him. But if you can't stop the run, doesn't
that open up the door for Dallas San Francisco. Uh,

of other teams in the NFC. San Francisco is gonna

you you're going to lose a game, and it's generally

one about last night that was like if it was

is the most frustrating thing I remember every time we

showing some frustration with Matt Lafleur. So, of course the
media and Green Bay is gonna ask Aaron Rodgers about this,
and he's going to have to answer questions about this
little interaction with his head coach. And here's how it went.
We're so upset about as the last round of regulation.
They're coming off every single play call, probably, sir, reason

those play calls were upsetting to you. Yeah, I feel
like we were like thirty yards from and in the
game and regulation, and also felt like it was two
minutes so I was going to be calling those and
I was in a pretty good rhythm. Obviously don't have
a ton of attempts tonight. That felt like I was

I want a chance to go win the game. Aaron's back,

takes one of those games where he gets that feeling back,

that are just different where you go out there and

and they're in their run game and just trying to
get him touches. But that seems to me to be

that you welcome to the NFL, you know, rookie moment
for him where he starts to play the way they're
hoping he's want to play. But there is something to
be said for one, how they do their tu minute operations.

Not every team is like that. You heard him talking
about calling plays, you know when you're in a West
Coast system or you if you played long enough, sometimes
those play calls will let you call it because you're
not changing personnel, right, You're gonna keep those three wide
receivers one side and one running back out there, and
you have as good of a feel as the coordinator
does as far as what you're getting in, what you're

seeing and what's probably gonna work. So you might as
well allow someone, if they're capable of that, to go
call those plays. So it's unique down every teams like
that in a two minute drive. And on top of that,
just hearing like the the sense of like, yeah, dude,
I'm still Aaron Rodgers, Like if we have a chance
to end this in regulation, like, that's what I've built
my career on. My my legend is being able to

go down the end of games in a tunat drive
and end this thing. So I think I would be
frustrated as well if I was in his shoes. Not
even taken into consideration the fact that you are going
up against your old head coach, there is a certain
degree of, Hey, I want to make sure I stick

that has control of how we go about doing it.

So so you could definitely see in sense like maybe
there's some frustration there, but I think this is more
of one of those all right, like they got that
win under their belt. Maybe that's the catalyst now for
them moving forward to start climbing back into the NFC

if he's great, they don't have to do this anyway,
But just to see if he's able to climb out
of this with with Green Bay, I mean, do you
look at him like, does it prove even more of

just overall, you don't want to be playing your best
football in September and October. You'd like to build up
November December. And I was talking about this yesterday before
Monday Night Football. It's been great watching what the Eagles
have done. The problem is is what happens if this
loss gives the formula for how to beat the Eagles
moving forward, and they end up stumbling and following and

they end up being a you know, a ten or
a level win team like they're adjusted win loss total
before last night's loss. I think, if I'm not mistaken,
I know Jonas always has these pulled up, but I
think it was like fourteen and a half because if
you look at the rest of the Eagles schedule, they
don't play I'm an opponent with a winning record until
Week thirteen where they have to play the Titans. So

if you're looking at the way you'd like to build
into going into the playoffs, you know, you'd like to
be able to play your best football at the end.
If you go back to the year they won their
Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback, and I
was talking to to A j about this, He's like, yeah,
the last three weeks it was like sudden death for us.
We had to literally win the last three weeks just

to have a shot to be a wild card team.
And then we obviously had to go the long way
on the road to go in there and eventually when
the when the Super Bowl, and that's that's you know,
that's how it sometimes works out for for certain teams.
We don't always see the number one seeds, number two seeds,
you know, end up taking advantage of that. So that
might be the position that they're in. But I think
considering the youth on the outside of wide receiver and

of the other spots, yeah, maybe if they build up
towards this at the end of December. We're talking about
looking at the Packers a lot differently, But that Super
Bowl year, the Bears the final week of the season,
had nothing to play for, and Levy Smith played all
his starters against the Packers the entire game because he
wanted no different, because he wanted to they beat them
eventually champions. He wanted to try and knock him out

of the playoffs. So they Yeah, they were playing for
their season every single week down the stretch, and then
they go on and win that Super Bowl. But how
about the Bears though, because they lost basic twice in
what four weeks? Yeah, I mean listen for you. I mean, look,
you know what happens. I was in Chicago for that loss,
by the way. Yeah, no, Lie, I was there. My

sister was like, hey, you want to come watch. I
was like, yeah, of course. I was like, I'll come
up there and hang out with you. And actually I
won't get into too many specifics, but I was sitting there.
Then like some of the other wives came because she
ended up, um, they had just had their first child,
so I was really going to kind of help her
with Lenning, their eldest daughter and all that when she

was in Chicago. When sheeted up coming back to the Tels,
so we're watching the game. There a couple other wives
came over of of you know, players in the team.
One of the wife started like breastfeeding, and I was
just like, whoa, okay, this is this is like, this
is more than I asked for out of this whole trip.
And she was perfectly comfortable with that. I was not.
I was like, I'm gonna leave the room and just

go watch the rest of the game in my hotel room. Bowl.
When that happened, then my goodness, what what was We
were all caught very much off guard, but none of
us looked away. It's natural. Well it's not just like
it's definitely natural, but there's also a natural fascination with

It just it seems like an intimate act. You know,
you gave me a very very interesting memory there. And

visual aid to communicate to those who are watching at
home while you're talking about stuff, so you've really got
a more paint a picture of what took place for
what they can't see while they're listening. The hard thing
about doing that is you actually have less room. You know,

the play by play guy is actually way more important
in the context of calling a game on radio, So
you gotta get out of his way so he can
then set up the play and then paint the picture
for what's happening, you know, before play, during the play, etcetera.
And then you get that small bit of time to
try to add something. So I always find like radio

calls extremely challenging. The guys who are good at it
are really good at it, and usually they do it
for a long, long period of time. Sounded great. You
definitely have a radio call voice and a radio call

It was. It was an interesting game to watch, I'll
say that much because I had two takeaways, and they
both are in regards to the forty, I think are
a team that's lurking right now but about ready to explode.
They got eight guys back off of off their injury list,

Deebo Samuel obviously one, but Elijah Mitchell, who played a
pretty big impact in that game. There were some forty
fans who were like, did Christian McCaffrey get benched for
Elijah Mitchell just because they were using Elijah Mitchell more?
It's so stupid. It's like, no, dude, they don't. First off,
christ McCaffrey has been there four weeks. Can we let
him get like everything's settled in there with the offense.

And also, you don't want to use them too much.
You've got Elijah Mitchell. He's a very capable back as well. So, um,
that was an odd narrative. But the fort is our
team lurking, I think, ready to explode. And then the Chargers.
The fact that they hung in that game and really
lad that entire game up until about eight minutes left
in the fourth quarter. It goes to show you how
special Herbert is and I think what that team is

capable of once they start getting some guys back. I mean,
still no Joey Bosa. They lost two interior defensive players
during that game. Um, you don't have Mike Williams, they
didn't have Keenan Allen. I mean, they're really playing with
a patchwork group and they still were finding ways of
of staying and hanging around in that game, which was
was pretty remarkable all things considered. But that's a team

that I think if they can get healthy soon, they
should they should be looked as a potential playoff team.
Can I just say this too, And I'm glad you
pointed it out on the broadcast because I was listening.
Just want to point that out again, this idea that
because Jimmy Garoppolo didn't throw any touchdowns in that game,
that oh, they're just carrying Garoppolo. He's playing well, but

it's it's not like he's playing poorly and they're winning
despite him, or you know, he's turning the ball over
a bunch and and somehow they're still winning these games.
He's playing well, He's not asked to do the same
things as some of these other quarterbacks like a Justin
Herbert is being asked to do because the Chargers just
don't run the football and refused to run the football
or can't run the football. They can. But when he

needs to make throws and make plays, he's making plays.
But it's like people have this built in knock against
Jimmy Garoppolo and they just want to roll with that.
I actually think, considering what he came into this year
having to deal with and all that was going on,
Jimmy Garoppolos played really good this year. I actually think
he's played better this year than he died last year.
Since um, since about Week five, he's been one of

the best. I mean, you can look at statistically speaking,
at least as far as rating and all that, He's
never gonna be a guy that has looked at as
prolific as patricker Homes and Josh Allen because that's not
what call Shanahan wants to do. I mean, everything's based
off their outside zone running scheme and how they're gonna
utilize all those pieces, whether it's Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell, um,
you know, Deebo Samuel in the backfield as well from

time to time. It's just they're never gonna be a
team that throws the football forty plus times a game,
week in and week out. That's that's not what they have.
But to your point, when when he was called upon
he made plays that the go ahead drive that was
basically all him. I mean he had joyned Jennings for
a few big plays, uh, some third down conversions. There
was a blood zero where he threw a catchable ball

to Brandon and Brendon i Yuku made a good play
on it. Um and by the way, you know their
defense gave but a touchdown to start the game. The
Charges drove right down the field and scored a touchdown.
They kind of stalled out a few times in the
red zone, but the Fortys had a block punt um
Brandon I you fumbled after a deep in cut that
he made a nice catch on, but that that kind

of negated a little bit of a big game and
some movement there after he fumbled the football. The Chargers
took it over like that. He did a good job
of handling the pressure handling just the fact that they
were constantly down that game until the fourth quarter where
he came up clutch. So I'm with you, I think
he's gonna be our Honestly, the reason if you look
at like the trade for Christian mccaffere, I think helps
this offense. But the truth of the matter is Garoppolo

at quarterback is the reason why they're gonna have a
chance to going to a Super Bowl. And that's not
a knock on Tree Lance. We just didn't know what
trade Lance was going to be this year. And and
with all the talent they have, I mean, think about this,
They've got three All pros and Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey
and George Kittle on that offense. And then and it's
not like Brandon I Yuk is any slouch or Jawan
Jennings isn't capable or anyone else you want to throw to.

Elijah Mitchell I I've mentioned not to probably too many times,
but it's it's not like, you know, they have a
bunch of slouches outside of those three, but they have
a star studded offense and all you need is really
a guy to go in there and facilitate, and Jimmy
Garoppolo can do that. So I think San Francisco is
one of those teams that um is really has the

potential of not necessarily looking like a contender now, but
at the end of it, maybe being the team that
is knocking everyone off in the end of the Super Bowl.

getting enough attention, but it probably should because last night
that missed face mask call on the huge play, I mean,
it turned around and gave the you know, washing the
ball and in a chance to get points in getting
field goals out of it. I mean, and people listening

probably even feel better about the game on Sunday, knowing
that there were twelve men on the field. That was

and they want to do it again and again and again,

fast paced rhythm, almost like it was like a basketball

They like to play fast. Washington forced them to slow down.
Washington ate up the time of possession, they ate up

And if there was one weakness coming into this game,
it was the fact that Philly, for as good as
they can be defensively, couldn't stop the run. They could
not stop the run. That's been the case the entire season.
The difference has been the offensive. It has been so
electric and people have not been able to get them
out of a rhythm that they couldn't exploit that well,

last night it finally got exploited by the physicality the
toughness of Washington and they just never felt like Jalen
Hurts and then offense can stand a consistent rhythm. Yeah,

odd to think for all of the surrounding Philadelphia and

them being undefeated, and you're looking at where things currently
are in the NFC East. The Cowboys are are are
at six wins and surprisingly the Commanders are at five wins.

LaVar Errington, and Jonas Knocks week days at six am Eastern,
three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I
Heart Radio app. So, we had a big time game
in the NFC this weekend and it was the Dallas
Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, and the Green Bay
(17:42):
Packers get it done, and the Dallas Cowboys are throwing fitch.
You got Mike McCarthy thrown headsets. You got Mike McCarthy
talking about people having red asses because they were calling
calling players out. Dalton Schultz and Micah Parsons, we are
calling players out in the lock, you know. So so
there's you know, everybody seemed like they were in a
(18:02):
good mood for Green Bay except for this one snippet
that was seen on television in which Aaron Rodgers was
showing some frustration with Matt Lafleur. So, of course the
media and Green Bay is gonna ask Aaron Rodgers about this,
and he's going to have to answer questions about this
little interaction with his head coach. And here's how it went.
We're so upset about as the last round of regulation.
They're coming off every single play call, probably, sir, reason
(18:27):
those play calls were upsetting to you. Yeah, I feel
like we were like thirty yards from and in the
game and regulation, and also felt like it was two
minutes so I was going to be calling those and
I was in a pretty good rhythm. Obviously don't have
a ton of attempts tonight. That felt like I was
in pretty good rhythm and felt like I threw the
(18:47):
ball just about executive I wanted to tonight and if
I want a chance to go win the game. Aaron's back,
a Rod's back, Baby, he's back, Tom Brady's back. Everybody
trying to shovel dirt on those guys. They are back.
That's the kind of Yeah, you're just thinking in my
(19:09):
head like it only takes one, you know, it only
takes one of those games where he gets that feeling back,
Like did you hear how he sounded different? Do you
hear how he talked about throwing the football though He's
like pretty much to put it wherever I wanted, Like
people out there gotta understand it. And I learned this
at a young age pitching, Like there are some days
that are just different where you go out there and
you can hit whatever spot with whatever pitch, you can
(19:32):
throw that football and whatever window you want and you
just you got it like you got it. And there
are some days where it's not like that, and it
feels like the large majority of the season four the
Packers has been that. And I don't know if it
has more to do with the fact that, you know,
Aaron didn't have to throw it as much. You know,
they ran the football. They tried to highlight their best player,
who is Aaron Jones. They tried to highlight him more,
(19:55):
and they're in their run game and just trying to
get him touches. But that seems to me to be
the form allah And I don't know if the the
Watson who had a couple of drops early but came
back made a nice grab like maybe that's gonna be
that you welcome to the NFL, you know, rookie moment
for him where he starts to play the way they're
hoping he's want to play. But there is something to
be said for one, how they do their tu minute operations.

Not every team is like that. You heard him talking
about calling plays, you know when you're in a West
Coast system or you if you played long enough, sometimes
those play calls will let you call it because you're
not changing personnel, right, You're gonna keep those three wide
receivers one side and one running back out there, and
you have as good of a feel as the coordinator
does as far as what you're getting in, what you're
(20:38):
seeing and what's probably gonna work. So you might as
well allow someone, if they're capable of that, to go
call those plays. So it's unique down every teams like
that in a two minute drive. And on top of that,
just hearing like the the sense of like, yeah, dude,
I'm still Aaron Rodgers, Like if we have a chance
to end this in regulation, like, that's what I've built
my career on. My my legend is being able to
(21:01):
go down the end of games in a tunat drive
and end this thing. So I think I would be
frustrated as well if I was in his shoes. Not
even taken into consideration the fact that you are going
up against your old head coach, there is a certain
degree of, Hey, I want to make sure I stick
it to him too, and I'm gonna be the one
that has control of how we go about doing it.
(21:23):
So so you could definitely see in sense like maybe
there's some frustration there, but I think this is more
of one of those all right, like they got that
win under their belt. Maybe that's the catalyst now for
them moving forward to start climbing back into the NFC
playoff picture. I think that the sam Buca show Buca
show boing boing boying is wearing off. Yeah, I think

it's wearing off, right because early on in the year,
right when you were here Aaron Rodgers interview, he would
you know, it would be more like, yeah, well it
happens and will be going you know, in the right
direction soon, like very subdued, very very calm, cool, the

r E L a X. Relax, Aaron Rodgers, this puffy
bottom Aaron Rodgers. Right here. Let listen to him again.
Listen to him again. What were you so upset about?
As the last drop of regulation they're coming off every
single play call, probably calls were upsetting. Yeah, I feel
like we were like thirty yards from all. You can

stop it. You don't even need to hear the whole thing.
It's not the tone, it's the words say well there
is base in but there's base in his voice too, right,
It's not it's not. It's not floating away and light
as a cloud, flow like the water. Like there's base
in his voice and it is. He's sharp. He is
(22:52):
sharp with what he's saying like. This sounds like an
Aaron Rodgers. That's like, Okay, I'm gonna hit the throttle now. Now.
I don't know how this all plays out, but if
you have a motivated Aaron Rodgers, there isn't a better
guy in the game when you have a motivated This
sounds like no Iowa Ayahasca. Is that what's called Iowa
(23:12):
Sayahaska system? Yeah? Well, if it's out of his system,
this sounds like a guy who's drinking steel reserve. Like
different tone. I understand what the implications are, and I
gotta go out there and make a stake. They're going
to smash Tennessee on Thursday night. I'm calling it right now.
This is gonna be a smash job. The Titans have
(23:33):
zero chance in this game. Up the guys a question there.
They're at four wins, the Vikings are at eight. If
Aaron Rodgers somehow, some way finds a way to get
Green Bay back into it, is it better that they
started this way? And he pulled them back and showed
(23:53):
a different dimension of how right now. I mean, I
don't I don't know. I mean because some would say
if he's great, they don't have to do this anyway,
But just to see if he's able to climb out
of this with with Green Bay, I mean, do you
look at him like, does it prove even more of
the point of think so? I mean, I also think
(24:14):
just overall, you don't want to be playing your best
football in September and October. You'd like to build up
November December. And I was talking about this yesterday before
Monday Night Football. It's been great watching what the Eagles
have done. The problem is is what happens if this
loss gives the formula for how to beat the Eagles
moving forward, and they end up stumbling and following and
(24:37):
they end up being a you know, a ten or
a level win team like they're adjusted win loss total
before last night's loss. I think, if I'm not mistaken,
I know Jonas always has these pulled up, but I
think it was like fourteen and a half because if
you look at the rest of the Eagles schedule, they
don't play I'm an opponent with a winning record until
Week thirteen where they have to play the Titans. So

if you're looking at the way you'd like to build
into going into the playoffs, you know, you'd like to
be able to play your best football at the end.
If you go back to the year they won their
Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback, and I
was talking to to A j about this, He's like, yeah,
the last three weeks it was like sudden death for us.
We had to literally win the last three weeks just

to have a shot to be a wild card team.
And then we obviously had to go the long way
on the road to go in there and eventually when
the when the Super Bowl, and that's that's you know,
that's how it sometimes works out for for certain teams.
We don't always see the number one seeds, number two seeds,
you know, end up taking advantage of that. So that
might be the position that they're in. But I think
considering the youth on the outside of wide receiver and

of the other spots, yeah, maybe if they build up
towards this at the end of December. We're talking about
looking at the Packers a lot differently, But that Super
Bowl year, the Bears the final week of the season,
had nothing to play for, and Levy Smith played all
his starters against the Packers the entire game because he
wanted no different, because he wanted to they beat them
eventually champions. He wanted to try and knock him out
(26:04):
of the playoffs. So they Yeah, they were playing for
their season every single week down the stretch, and then
they go on and win that Super Bowl. But how
about the Bears though, because they lost basic twice in
what four weeks? Yeah, I mean listen for you. I mean, look,
you know what happens. I was in Chicago for that loss,
by the way. Yeah, no, Lie, I was there. My
(26:25):
sister was like, hey, you want to come watch. I
was like, yeah, of course. I was like, I'll come
up there and hang out with you. And actually I
won't get into too many specifics, but I was sitting there.
Then like some of the other wives came because she
ended up, um, they had just had their first child,
so I was really going to kind of help her
with Lenning, their eldest daughter and all that when she
(26:45):
was in Chicago. When sheeted up coming back to the Tels,
so we're watching the game. There a couple other wives
came over of of you know, players in the team.
One of the wife started like breastfeeding, and I was
just like, whoa, okay, this is this is like, this
is more than I asked for out of this whole trip.
And she was perfectly comfortable with that. I was not.
I was like, I'm gonna leave the room and just

go watch the rest of the game in my hotel room. Bowl.
When that happened, then my goodness, what what was We
were all caught very much off guard, but none of
us looked away. It's natural. Well it's not just like
it's definitely natural, but there's also a natural fascination with
(27:26):
like I just met you and now you're doing this.
It just it seems like an intimate act. You know,
you gave me a very very interesting memory there. And
I'll tell you what it's like. You know how in
the movies, it's like they turned a second into like
five minutes and it's like a whole entire story within
(27:49):
the story plays home. Then you come back and you
realize that you literally we're staring. Yeah, that's that's what
happened in that situation. Mean, and and I'll just say,
perfect ten, perfect ten out of ten, and the judgment
was made of being a perfect ten before any of
(28:09):
that had even transpired, respectfully, no, no, just respectfully. Though,
it was like everybody's talking, dotta di yeah, yeah, m
orta di Yeah it's that yeah yeah, I god dag
no silence, crickets, nothing, And then you realized every single

person that was talking, trash and talking had lost their
thought the same exact way in that moment. So there
you go. Huh. So, while there will be no shaming
of doing it, you just have to accept what happens
when you do it. I mean, when you whip out
a weapon of mass destruction in front of a whole

bunch of wolves and in the wild, I mean, what
you think, what you things wanna happen? Kids, gott he
needs some milk, He needs some milk. That baby had
everybody jealous. Listen you remember that, Hey, god, you remember
that formula shortage. Everybody was looking at you baby. Stop.

Yeah wait, maybe not. You got to you gotta eat,
You gotta do what you gotta do. Speaking of adjusted
wind totals, what do you think the packers adjusted wind
total is? Now? Oh, it's double than it's got a
half and a half. There four and six, and so
the pack their nine adjusted wind total is seven and

a half. Yeah, that's it. Their schedules. So they've got
Tennessee on the short I was I was gonna say brutal,
But if you want to go with that, that's fine.
They're at Philly, they're at Chicago, they've got the Rams,
they're at the Dolphins, they've got the Vikings, and they
finished with the Lions. It feels like they're gonna be hungering.

They're gonna be battling eight to nine wins this year.
Over Yeah, I take that. Ain't gonna get it done.
I take the over. But that's that's like right around
the right number what they predicted. We should be real though,
they're not making the playoffs. I don't think at nine
and eight. I mean, did you want odds on that too?
Whatever you want here, I mean, I've got I've got
the odds for you. Yet three to one, yes, is

plus three to one to make the playoffs. So they're
a minus Dallas right now? What is it for Dallas? Um?
When you want me to veg out for you or
what's that called layout for you? That edge? You know
what veg out means chill out. Okay, but what what
was your meaning? Now you know I was, I was

in health class. I think the word you're looking for
was layout. Layout. So the Dallas Cowboys to not make
the playoffs is sixteen to one to not make the playoffs.
That's not bad, right, No? That is really bad. Like
like you're you're basically saying they're they're going to make
the playoffs. So basically ten dollar when Rolls Royce would

bet that they're not gonna make it. I don't think
they're gonna make it, man, I think they're making it.
What's the Giants? Uh? The New York Giants. Let me
just go ahead and h vamped formula. But the way
I used to not not to get off on this tangent,
but if you look for a Coach of the Year
candidates is Brian it's over. It's over, right, Yeah, it's
not not even closed a three to one Giants or

minus three hundred. Yes, the Vikings here coach, Yeah, they're
going to the playoffs. No, Kevin O'Connell has done great too.
I just think if you look at to me where
the Giants were last ye, how this organization has been
looked at in comparison, like you say, Roberts, Well, but
the difference there is he's been there a couple of
years now. It's like he's had time to build this up.

And so I look at it and sad, I don't know.
The Giants are like a turnaround from a turnaround team.
And it's the same players. Yeah, and it's the same
player with the quarterback. They don't want seriously like that.
It's all for day ball has won this dump truck
Nuts is gonna win Coach of the Year, and it's
well deserved. I mean, the underworld at the at the

end of the break, but I mean, here we go again, right,
if we got the Giants going in, and I really
believe it's going to be the Eagles that wins the East,
and if it's not, it's probably going to be the Giants,
which would put the Eagles in the second slot. So
we're assuming that the Cowboys will be that that fourth

or that third, uh wild card team? Do you want
me to give you what the playoff picture would currently
be right now? All right? If the playoffs were today, yes, okay,
in the NFC, the number one C would still be
the Philadelphia Eagles via the tiebreak they beat Minnesota earlier
in the year, Minnesota would be at two. Seattle is
(32:51):
at the top of the NFC West, they be three.
Tampa's the top of the NFC South. Now the next
three teams through wild card teams the Giants at five,
the Giants, the Cowboys at six, and at the seventh
seed at five and four. They would be the next team.
The bubble teams are the Washington Commandos, the Packers at
(33:12):
four and six, Falcons, Cardinals, Lions, YadA. So the more
interesting sides the a f C. All right, the entire
all right, the entire a f C East is in
the playoffs right now. If if it was starting to
start today, the Chiefs will get to buy they're the
number one seed, and then it starts off with the
Dolphins as as the two seed, the Jets as the
(33:34):
five seed, Bills as a sixth seed, Patriots as the
seventh seed. How about that? The entire I would feel cheated? Um,
how do you pull them all from the same division
like that? By the way, they haven't played each other Seattle,
So basically the Cowboys as a stands right now and
have to travel to Seattle for that playoff game. You

know the last time they played in Seattle, Tony Roma
had an issue with that that snap, they could have
won the game. I mean, that's the catch game to
catch gate. Well, no, that was the that was that
wasn't now that was at the Packers. Yeah, it just
to both. Yeah. Hey, so listen, paid man, listen. They

aren't going to the playoffs. Y'all heard me say that
at the beginning of the year. I'm saying it doubling
down at the midway point. Just after the midway point.
I can't. I can't. I mean, I can't buy it.
I would, I would encourage everyone. I would encourage everybody
to buy it, lay some money the package. I honestly

thought they were gonna be further down on that list.
It's going to be the Packers that slide in and
that last wild card spot because because of as of
right now, it probably because here's what's gonna end up happening,
and it might not even hold say to take the
Packers in the playoffs or not. Yeah, but hold on,
but it might not even be the Packers. You know
who it might be. It might be the Seahawks. It

might be the Seahawks that take that last wild Card
Art Spot because the miners are gonna take it over
in the West. You watch what I tell you, Dinners
are gonna take over in the West, and it's going
to either be it's going to be the Seahawks that
end up number two and they're gonna get that last

I would go for it's fun. Uh, it's you know,
calling games on radio, and it's it's difficult for me
because the most opportunities I get to call games are
on TV and for people who don't know behind the scenes,

it's the polar opposite, like polar opposite of what your
job responsibility is. You know, you're you don't have the
visual aid to communicate to those who are watching at
home while you're talking about stuff, so you've really got
a more paint a picture of what took place for
what they can't see while they're listening. The hard thing
about doing that is you actually have less room. You know,
(36:46):
the play by play guy is actually way more important
in the context of calling a game on radio, So
you gotta get out of his way so he can
then set up the play and then paint the picture
for what's happening, you know, before play, during the play, etcetera.
And then you get that small bit of time to
try to add something. So I always find like radio
(37:07):
calls extremely challenging. The guys who are good at it
are really good at it, and usually they do it
for a long, long period of time. Sounded great. You
definitely have a radio call voice and a radio call
face two by the way, Yeah, thank you. Yeah take
that you pretty s O B. Yeah, you handsome devil.
(37:28):
Yeah take that. Insult cash that one in this morning.
It was. It was an interesting game to watch, I'll
say that much because I had two takeaways, and they
both are in regards to the forty, I think are
a team that's lurking right now but about ready to explode.
They got eight guys back off of off their injury list,
(37:51):
Deebo Samuel obviously one, but Elijah Mitchell, who played a
pretty big impact in that game. There were some forty
fans who were like, did Christian McCaffrey get benched for
Elijah Mitchell just because they were using Elijah Mitchell more?
It's so stupid. It's like, no, dude, they don't. First off,
christ McCaffrey has been there four weeks. Can we let
him get like everything's settled in there with the offense.
(38:11):
And also, you don't want to use them too much.
You've got Elijah Mitchell. He's a very capable back as well. So, um,
that was an odd narrative. But the fort is our
team lurking, I think, ready to explode. And then the Chargers.
The fact that they hung in that game and really
lad that entire game up until about eight minutes left
in the fourth quarter. It goes to show you how
special Herbert is and I think what that team is
(38:32):
capable of once they start getting some guys back. I mean,
still no Joey Bosa. They lost two interior defensive players
during that game. Um, you don't have Mike Williams, they
didn't have Keenan Allen. I mean, they're really playing with
a patchwork group and they still were finding ways of
of staying and hanging around in that game, which was
was pretty remarkable all things considered. But that's a team
(38:53):
that I think if they can get healthy soon, they
should they should be looked as a potential playoff team.
Can I just say this too, And I'm glad you
pointed it out on the broadcast because I was listening.
Just want to point that out again, this idea that
because Jimmy Garoppolo didn't throw any touchdowns in that game,
that oh, they're just carrying Garoppolo. He's playing well, but
(39:14):
it's it's not like he's playing poorly and they're winning
despite him, or you know, he's turning the ball over
a bunch and and somehow they're still winning these games.
He's playing well, He's not asked to do the same
things as some of these other quarterbacks like a Justin
Herbert is being asked to do because the Chargers just
don't run the football and refused to run the football
or can't run the football. They can. But when he
(39:34):
needs to make throws and make plays, he's making plays.
But it's like people have this built in knock against
Jimmy Garoppolo and they just want to roll with that.
I actually think, considering what he came into this year
having to deal with and all that was going on,
Jimmy Garoppolos played really good this year. I actually think
he's played better this year than he died last year.
Since um, since about Week five, he's been one of
(39:54):
the best. I mean, you can look at statistically speaking,
at least as far as rating and all that, He's
never gonna be a guy that has looked at as
prolific as patricker Homes and Josh Allen because that's not
what call Shanahan wants to do. I mean, everything's based
off their outside zone running scheme and how they're gonna
utilize all those pieces, whether it's Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell, um,
you know, Deebo Samuel in the backfield as well from
(40:15):
time to time. It's just they're never gonna be a
team that throws the football forty plus times a game,
week in and week out. That's that's not what they have.
But to your point, when when he was called upon
he made plays that the go ahead drive that was
basically all him. I mean he had joyned Jennings for
a few big plays, uh, some third down conversions. There
was a blood zero where he threw a catchable ball
(40:36):
to Brandon and Brendon i Yuku made a good play
on it. Um and by the way, you know their
defense gave but a touchdown to start the game. The
Charges drove right down the field and scored a touchdown.
They kind of stalled out a few times in the
red zone, but the Fortys had a block punt um
Brandon I you fumbled after a deep in cut that
he made a nice catch on, but that that kind
(40:56):
of negated a little bit of a big game and
some movement there after he fumbled the football. The Chargers
took it over like that. He did a good job
of handling the pressure handling just the fact that they
were constantly down that game until the fourth quarter where
he came up clutch. So I'm with you, I think
he's gonna be our Honestly, the reason if you look
at like the trade for Christian mccaffere, I think helps
this offense. But the truth of the matter is Garoppolo
(41:19):
at quarterback is the reason why they're gonna have a
chance to going to a Super Bowl. And that's not
a knock on Tree Lance. We just didn't know what
trade Lance was going to be this year. And and
with all the talent they have, I mean, think about this,
They've got three All pros and Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey
and George Kittle on that offense. And then and it's
not like Brandon I Yuk is any slouch or Jawan
Jennings isn't capable or anyone else you want to throw to.
(41:41):
Elijah Mitchell I I've mentioned not to probably too many times,
but it's it's not like, you know, they have a
bunch of slouches outside of those three, but they have
a star studded offense and all you need is really
a guy to go in there and facilitate, and Jimmy
Garoppolo can do that. So I think San Francisco is
one of those teams that um is really has the
(42:01):
potential of not necessarily looking like a contender now, but
at the end of it, maybe being the team that
is knocking everyone off in the end of the Super Bowl.
