Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas knocks. Coming up on this
Wednesday edition, We've got some news and notes from around
the National Football League, including the playing surfaces that's all
of a sudden, the hot button issue again, and also
the Washington Commanders have a big decision at quarterback they're
going to make. Plus, we're gonna have another edition of
incase you missed it. We've got our Midweek Awards, the Good,

(00:22):
the Bad, and the ugly, the Old p Petro Spapa
AKA stops by, and it's the b Q News. It's
all yours coming up next year. Two Pros and a
cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio. You're listening to Fox
Sports Radio. Yeah see yeah, throw up Ferns Ready, Burnos

(01:00):
back baby, Cereal, it's in the morning, Cereal. You know, Burrow,
we really missed you, man, really missed you. Really needed
your your recap of what happened in Vegas on Sunday.
I was really looking forward to that. You know that

(01:23):
crap I told you guy, they're gonna lose. Yeah he did? Did?
I mean, how does that make you feel to lose
to a guy with no experience of fresh off of
to keep losing every game for now, and I don't
care stop if I pick, and then who do you want?
You want a quarterback? Of course? Bryce Young? Sure? Did

(01:44):
you wanted Matt Ryan last year? Matt Ryan? He does
beat you? Got right? Did play well? Burn? He did
beat you? So he did. I was driving, I was
driving home from San Francisco, so I didn't have to
watch the game and go to the bar and watch
that crap. Berto. You were missed, though, I swear to
you to know that, all right, not to throw anyone

(02:04):
under the bus, but every time Iowa Sam fills in,
Jonas can never call to anything and have it actually
be thrown to us the proper way. So you were
missed very much, So thank you, thank you. Well listen,
you know, I mean, there's a lot of moving parts,
a ton of moving but it always seems that every
time Jonas calls for something, Iowa Sam just brings some

(02:27):
something from Jonas's solo show. So it makes it makes
a little awkward on our show. Well, first of all,
it's not Yeah, thank you, thank you for calling it
what it is is to j K S and it
deserves a respect. Who else is on the show if
it's not a solo show. Well, I mean, listen, it's
the Jakes, and there's solo shows. There's you've got you know,
people that want to chime in, or there's just the
j k S. And it's specifically called the j k

(02:50):
as for a reason hashtag j k S. That's two
to four Eastern time, eleven and am to one pm
Pacific time on Saturday. Told me it's gonna be two
to three years time. They're cutting you down the hour
almost curse, curse, just now, I keep it up, will

(03:10):
go two too. And I heard it's going to cut
down an hour. That's funny at this point. You imagine that,
by the way up on games before that, and then
you got big newon Kickoff before that. I'm telling you
a six hour block of two pros and a cup
of Joe on the Saturdays. Heretof cast anymore. Well, I

(03:34):
know it's not, but I'm saying, and the Fox and
Fox Sports Radio networks, Yeah, yes, it used to be there.
There was a bit of a falling out there. They're
slowly cutting us out. Well, that's that's all right. I mean,
I think I think, I think that's also part of
the reason why Sam struggles the time. He's so excited
to talk to the guy who covers so many Big
ten games that he's just you know, he wants to
get Iowa, he wants to have viable conversation. I love him.

(03:59):
There's just always tends to be some unluckiness when he's
working a show. Um well, speaking of unluckiness here, it
is to pros in a cup of jo And by
the way, we are coming to alive from the ti
irac dot com studios. Ti irac dot com will help
you get there and unmatched election fast free shipping, Free
road has a protection over ten thousand recommended installers. Ti
irac dot com the way tire buying should be. So

(04:19):
there's we've seen injuries in the NFL. There's a lot
of people that are pointing to unfortunate or unlucky injuries
when it comes to the playing surface in the National
Football League. Now you've got Aaron Rodgers chiming in, Pete
Carroll's bitching about the turf in Germany. So so what
is the solution here? What are we doing? Are they
gonna just go ahead and everybody goes to straight all

(04:40):
grass field or they is. It's just gonna be what
it is because you know they can there be the
strands of grass or or you know, the the soil
underneath it. It's not fit for safe conditions to play on.
You know, he's gotta you gotta, you know, take it,
take it surface by surface. I think, you know, you
gotta have a surface expert there. Um, you have to

(05:01):
have a cleat expert there, because you know you gotta
throw cleats in there as well. You know it socks,
you gotta throw socks and you have a sock expert available.
Did they put sand on underneath some of these shields? Okay?
Because it looked like there were sand Monday night in Philadelphia,
like when they were playing it. Look by the way,
did I tell you guys? I thought when I was

(05:22):
watching that game, it looked like there was sand underneath
the field cut You know, when I was watching the game,
I was thinking to myself, I was like, let me
hit Jonas and Queu. I think they're sand on this field.
I think I saw sand on it really didn't. I
didn't see that at all. That's crazy. That is crazy, man,
I don't know. Hey, Berto, did I tell you that

(05:42):
it seemed like there was sand on the field when
we were watching that Eagles game. Yeah, I got you're
saying right here, That's what I got. So what's the
solution here? Because everybody's complaining about it, everybody's got a
problem with this. All of a sudden, it's like the
hot button topic in the I heard that. It's like

(06:03):
it's a hot button topic in the in the NFL. Now,
So what is the solution are what are we gonna do?
What is the solution? I mean, you're playing concrete. Just
go back to the old Astro tour. If you want
to turn it into like the old Vet in Philadelphia,
let's do that. Why not? I think as far as
the International Games go, and and when we went over
to Wimbley and when I was with Denver, you definitely

(06:25):
noticed like it's just different. It's softer. It got torn
up quickly. It didn't matter if it's the cricket fields
we practiced on or even the like the Wimbley Stadium field,
Like it was almost like there was a do It
was wet, it was slick, it was just part of it.
And you had to you had to put on deeper
cleats in order to play in order to feel like
you remember those yeah, remember the talentable. You take the

(06:48):
little ones out, they pull like like you were a
NASCAR like it looked. It looked like you were almost
aerating the field and shoes. People walk their yard around
there like an artist. They walked. I had some of
my dopest games in them, long as detachables, some of
my best games three inches by they were like as

(07:12):
long as a finger. They were long. And I'm telling
you I was out of there. My cuts were crisp,
My moves was crisp. Out of there. It felt weird
on straight away runs, but the cut making cuts was
was crazy. But but straight straight away running it felt

(07:32):
like you could like I could fill it a little bit,
you know. Yeah. Yeah, man, Now, say you're not gonna change,
especially if it's a grass surface, You're not gonna be
able to change and make it consistent over there. I mean,
it's just you're not You've got different countries, different soul,
all that stuff. It's like that to a degree in
the NFL. And I know, we want to sit here
and it seems like we're complaining about whatever the surfaces nowadays,

(07:55):
right like unless it's some sort of perfect grass drive.
I mean everyone's planning about it. The reality is you
gotta pick and choose your battles. This is not one
that I feel like it's worth complaining about. Both teams
had to deal with it. If it was unsafe, it
was only unsafe and the respect that it had to
had to be a little slick or maybe the turf
came up somewhat. That's sure. We shounna do about that.

(08:18):
I'm just I'm not sure how that's gonna change as
as you try to, like, I don't know, make make
the turf more sturdy. I mean, this is something that
you know, major league or excuse me, professional soccer players
play on over there. Um, that's not as big of
a concern I think, at least not for the NFL
p A as the slit feel filled turf that you

(08:38):
see in certain stadiums like MetLife for example, that seems
to be a much issue in regards to players safety
right now that anything else. So what is that surface
they just split film? Like? What is the difference between
that and and something you would see in another place
it doesn't have natural grass? Like? What are the options
available for them to do here? It's just the type

(08:59):
of will that that's that's a part of that turf.
And I don't know the specifics of it. I mean
obviously field turf tends to vary depending on the type
of you know, softness, the type of blades, the type
of like phil they got. I've been on some like
usually when you're out there and you got most people
can relate to this. Those fields now you have like
the black crushed up rubber, right like old tires, old shoes,

(09:21):
they take the crushed up rubber. It's annoying though. You
walk on that stuff. Then you're like you leave, you
got crap all over your shoes, It's in your socks,
all that stuff. Then they get in your eyes too,
if you get tackled in your mouth mouth, Yeah, tasting rubber.
Sometimes guys have had to come off the field because
the amount of rubber they've gotten in their eyes. Yeah,
I mean, but there there's some now that are like cork. Literally,

(09:44):
I've I've been on some it's cork game field. Yeah.
And the dumbest part is outside of maintenance of the
actual grass, they still gotta water it because because the
cork has to actually be like hydrated. You guys, remember
that one game where the turf came up in the field,
the grounds guy came running onto the field. Did you
see how much rubber he put into that? Yeah, it

(10:06):
was just he was filling the gaps with like straight
rubber pieces, like and I think it's like old tire
or something like that. Right, It's like it's like old
And I mean he was just he had the big
ads bucket was just like pour a whole bunch down,
padded down, Pour a whole bunch down, padded on down.
Like yeah, I don't know. It's interesting because I'll be

(10:31):
honest with you, growing up a cool playing surface. You
just wanted a surface that wasn't muddy. Like you come
out of the locker room like, okay, there's grass on
a hundred yards of this field, Like let's go, you know,
growing up, and and it's kind of like now you
get to a point of where I started asking myself

(10:51):
the question, I'm like, yeah, I saw a couple of
players complaining about it, you know, coming out and saying,
you know, they deserved to play in a safe you know,
playing playing surface and stuff like that, And I get it.
Nobody wants to to have an injury. That's unnecessary that
that could end your career or shorten it. I I
get all that, I get, I get trying to protect players,

(11:12):
but you know, it still kind of comes back to
the conversation with me, like cats is just getting soft
as hell to me. I mean, I'm just being honest.
Like like, bro, we used to play tackle like during
the week, we would get tackle games before school on concrete,
like and it wasn't like it wasn't too hand tag.

(11:33):
It was we were playing tackle football and concrete. They
didn't do that in Ohio. Let me tell you that.
I just I'm not trying to say like you know,
oh like old old timer like I old timer talk
is a turn off to like I'm not gonna lie
like sometimes I gotta stop myself because it's like, man,
I sound like an old timer at some point, like

(11:56):
let's be let's be clear here. You're playing football like
you're you're playing football, like put your uniform on. They
always tell you go check the playing surface before before
the game starts, so you know, do you need nubs?
You know, little balls? Do you need flat bottoms? Do
you need do you need you know, regular cleats? Like

(12:18):
are you wearing turfs? Like whatever it is, go check
the playing surface out. That should be the last thing
on your mind once you're going into playing the game,
and and and so for me, I don't know. I
just think that the priorities list has has been shuffled,
it has been moved, it's been rearranged, and if you're

(12:40):
asking me, it goes towards the softer side of the spectrum,
not towards the badass side. And maybe it's not cool
to be a badass anymore. I don't know, But I'm
just saying, like, go freaking play football like and I'm
not saying it in a way like just dribble the ball.
Don't have any opinions or anything like the whole political
side of just dribble the all type action. I'm not

(13:01):
saying that, But I am saying, at some point, you
do know you're you're a professional playing a child's game.
You do know that it's a it's a child's game.
That you're now an adult and you get to make
money a king's ransom playing a child's game. Like, let's

(13:21):
keep it in perspective, you know what I mean? What
I'm saying, Yeah, and they did a didn't they do
some research? Where they said they compared injuries to that
sort of surface and natural grass and they were pretty
much equal. So they did. But this this particular fields
feel with this filling, actually has the most though if

(13:43):
you differentiate from the other field to fields. So there
was a there was a there was a point earlier
in the season where grass actually had more A C
L injuries, but when they compared at least just over
the past few years that the dat and research has
come back that this particular field is more dangerous. So look,
I don't know where this goes from here, Probably nowhere
because the NFL p A always picks the dumbest times

(14:06):
to try to negotiate something because I mean, once the
deal's done, the deals done, what do you mean it's
coming out, isn't there aren't they do for a new agreement,
Like got like another ten or nine years left on
this one. So unless they're one to strike because the
field conditions, nothing's gonna change. The owners aren't gonna want
to invest and change it. I've said this before. If
you have a grass field, you kind of can't win

(14:28):
because you can only really host UH sport events there
and that's it. When you look at some of these
other stadiums, they have all sorts of others, graduations and stuff,
other games that they play on it. They have so
much stuff running through there that you just you couldn't
do that having a grass service and be able to

(14:48):
maintain the grass to a degree where you could play
on it. So a lot of these stadiums are these
these owners are like, yeah, I'm not wasting the money
to invest more into this every single year, and it's
gonna limit how much I can make from it when
we're not playing football games. And unfortunately, it's not a
priority for the NFL p A to ever negotiate this
when they're in the c b A. But you know,

(15:10):
like they just complain about it after the fact, which
is probably what bothers me the most about this is
let's just go out and send a bunch of tweets
with hashtags because that's gonna solve something, Like, I mean, seriously,
and by the way, furthermore, for our society. That doesn't
solve anything either. Okay, just as you want to send
out a tweet with a hashtag, that's not solving anyone's problems.
Who actually out and make some change in this world?

(15:32):
My god, hashtag that hashtag cancel culture, canceled culture. We're
adding turf fields to it. Hey, we're canceling yeah with
a Z. And by the way, go go ahead and
uh go ahead and strike to get new fields. I'll

(15:55):
show you how soft y'all really are. I'll show you
a real because let me tell you something. There are
a whole bunch of dudes training, a lot of dudes
working out calloust is, sitting on couches, talking to their cousins,
talking to their friends, brothers, sisters, dad's, mom's, uncles, aunts, grandparents, nanas,

(16:20):
you name it. I just need a chance, just I
just need a chance. And I can guarantee you they're
not worrying about the surface of a field. Yeah, guarantee you. Hey, listen,
when you guys did that show from Iowa last year,
I mean, under those conditions and those elements having to
do this show, you know, looking at a at a

(16:41):
you know, a bottle of age act. You know, you
know what we weren't doing. We weren't complaining, you weren't
we weren't complaining. We just we just threw down and
did a show. Yeah, you know what I mean? Like, hey,
q q q Q Q you good, good, good good, Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,

(17:02):
you gotta you gotta desk for me. Now just turn
over that mop bucket. And I'm looking at here. I'm
looking at the tanitor cleaning up. I'm looking at I'm
looking at the maintenance man. Chase rats around and it's
all over grant roaches. Like you know, we had a
show to do. Yeah, and nobody complaining. If I sat
there and say, hey, I'm not doing the radio show

(17:24):
from these conditions, I'm not gonna do it. You know
what the next new is gonna be, Like I'll go,
I'll go sit in that seat. Yeah, I'll go do
the show. You find out the show continues, you better
believe it. And that's right, This strain keeps going. That's
what you discover for sure. And speaking of which, talking
about how complicated every bank's make it through a deem

of in case you missed it coming up in about
twenty minutes from now and it's an indication that the
NFL is changing. We've got proof that the NFL is changing.
So we'll get to that twenty minutes from now here
on Fox Sports Radio. So the Washington Commandos with a
big win on Monday Night and Taylor Heinecki, who's all

(19:33):
the rave there in d C. Because he's got his
chains on, he's drinking bush Lights, he's hanging out on
the plane doing a Kirk Cousins impersonation. He's doing interviews.
All of a sudden, that discussion is, yeah, I really
I think they're on a plane. Wouldn't you just bust
from phill it train? Yeah? Yeah, trying to fill you

(19:55):
in New York. You could drift to fill you in
two and a half hours from say usually bust in
that case, right's close enough? Yeah, I think so. How long?
How long is a train ride from Washington to Philly?
Everybody's from like an hour? It's great. I'll be real
with you two. I would much rather do that than
get on a plu. Dude. It hurts so bad after

(20:18):
a game when you get up there and you gotta
come back down and everything just throbs like Eddie bruised,
any bump, anything you got. It aches so bad coming
off a plane. If you're on a bus or a train,
definitely not as bad that At least that was my experience.
Trains are way comfortable and the scenery is super cool,

(20:39):
you know, It's like, it's just it's very relaxing while
you're playing tongue games and taking people's money. Yeah yeah,
well it was for me at least. Trains are great
and always win though, like trains. If I told you
guys that, yeah, I love trains to those days. And
Jonas we're talking about train rides this morning. Not sure

(21:00):
I'm gonna make that trip though, he doesn't want to
get off. We'll see, no, we won't. You never know
what are they serving, um, so a nice refreshments with
h is were my favorite. Yeah, big time. Yeah, She's
not what they called you when he was growing up.

(21:21):
She deely all right. So um. With that being said,
the Commandos have themselves a situation at quarterback because Carson
Wentz could be returning very very soon. And so Ron Rivera,
the head coach, talked with the media about the potential
of Carson Wentz taking over the starting quarterback job, obviously

(21:42):
needing to talk it over with the quarterbacks involved. But
then Scott Turner, the offensive coordinator, the training staff, everybody
here was the Washington head coach. You have to look
at the momentum. You have to look at you know what,
what what the mood of the team is. Obviously there's
a lot of factors that go into a john a
lot of things that I'll have to discuss with Scott
and Jenny for that matter, which we'll be doing a

(22:03):
little bit later. And then, like I said, I still
haven't sat down with al and and and gotten the
full report. Uh. And what to anticipate as far as Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday going forward. Uh, if everything's clear, if they keep winning, yeah,
no chance to go back to once. So that's it.
I mean, it's just I feel bad for Carson. But

(22:26):
and and by the way, I think Carson probably is
the better of the two quarterbacks. Now people would be like, well,
how can you talk out of both sides of your mouth.
I just think heinike and this little run they've been on,
it's the momentum of it. He's more athletic, the way
he scrambles and moves around. I think that's probably helped

(22:47):
a bit too, because their offensive line has had some
injuries and had some issues. So I think Carson Wentz
could go in the game and throw for more yards
and do all that, But I also think he'd be
more of a statue back there. And I think it's
just it's hard to look away from the momentum that
you built and the fact these guys love playing with Hankey.
I mean, he they just they do. They love playing

(23:09):
for him, and there's something to be said for that.
I think summing it up is it's not always the
best player that plays, it's the person that's best for
the team that play. So that and and I think
that that's where the Washington football team and the Commanders
are where where they are right now. The commandos, the commandos,

(23:34):
the commanders. I don't know. I I just figured i'd
start that. I mean, they did get a big victory,
So I figured if there was one week where I
could say commanders, it would be the week after they
knock off the team that had Miami and uh, you
know kind of concern mode. You know that they might

(23:54):
go undefeat it the entire year and win the Super Bowl,
you know HTTC. I mean, is it hell to the Commanders?
Do you still hell the commanders? Uh? It sounds of
sounds right, So you just replace everything with commanders, even
like the fight song? And do you still do the
fight song? Yeah? I don't know anyway, I just say, uh, Carson, Uh,

(24:18):
you know, it's been fun, it's been real. Um, but yeah,
your time in Washington yet again. Another franchise that's probably
coming out now. I will say here, there's a caveat,
and you guys know I love caveats. The caveat here
is is if Heineke falls off of a cliff, which

(24:39):
I hate to say this, It's possible you can fall
off a cliff. He's played poorly at times this year.
If we're gonna be fair about it's gonna pick in
every gay, Yes, can fall off a cliff. What are
we doing here? What were we doing? It's uh so
let me ask you this though, If this is it
for Carson Wentz in Washington, is he a victim of

(25:01):
bad luck or did he just have good luck and
in his getting all these opportunities. Yeah, that's the question.
That's and and I just wonder that because, yeah, the injuries,
you can't do anything about that. But that's part of
the issue though, I mean, your availability is part of
the ability. He's on NFL roster like, he's gotten three

(25:25):
different opportunities to be the starting Branships quarterback for a team. Victim. Well,
he's not a victim. He has had a lot of adversity.
But I'll be honest with you, this story is not unique.
Everyone faces adverse the everyone faces injuries, everyone faces um
getting you know, demoted at some point time in their career.

(25:45):
At least, I should say, a lot of guys do.
A lot of quarterbacks do. So it's not unique to him.
And whether or not he considers himself a victim, that
that's really up for him to decide ultimately. But he's
had plenty of opportunities, and yeah, he's been in some
tough spots. I always I always say this to people, like,
if you're a quarterback with a lot of talent, all right,

(26:06):
you're gonna have a hard time going to a new
place and learning a new system, and you're gonna have
a really hard time during that two years in a row.
And and but people would mostly say, if you're that
good at quarterback, you're probably not ever in that situation.
That's the truth of the matter, right, if you're that good,
your team's keeping you because they think you're that good,
and they're gonna give you the benefit of the doubt.

(26:26):
You know, that didn't work out that way, and Philly
didn't work out that way in Annapolis. So regardless of
how his careers beview he could be a backup for
as long as he wants. He's talented enough to be
able to still go in and play and win games.
It's just whether or not anyone wants to give him
that opportunity, and and whether or not he wants to
do that, Like, if he wants to be a backup
and you know, go through the rigors of having to

(26:47):
watch someone else going there and play when he knows
the back of his mind he could probably play better
than a lot of those guys. Yeah, So that Carson Wentz. I'man,
how many how many times have you seen somebody go
down that quickly? Like from being I mean, I would

(27:09):
go to Pitts, go go back to Pennsylvania and literally
people were saying Winsylvania. Yeah it was it was how
quickly did things change? Three games in three and all
of a sudden it was Ben Roethlisberger and then everyone's
you know, naming the state after you, And then it
was making fun of Brown the Cleveland Browns, because well,

(27:30):
the Browns reportedly didn't have a first round grade on
on Carson Wentz and they missed out on a franchise quarterback.
And yet here we are, what five years, six years later,
and Carson Wentz is looking at getting benched again on
his third franchise. So it's I don't know about benched again.
I mean it's yeah, yeah, it's over. That'll do it.

(27:50):
It is too pros and a cup of Joe here.
Fox Sports tradings your roles sometimes, Yeah, it's never the
easiest when when you're something so high and so revered
and then you gotta adjust to not being that person anymore.
But for what it's worth. I mean, you know, you
got a job. He's gonna make a couple of million
a year career. I mean, what other job, Like, what

(28:15):
other job could you go get and be in the
position that he's in and benefit from it financially the
way that he benefits from it, Like you just gotta
keep things in perspective. Good for him, Yeah, go for him.
Keep your chin up, that's fine. Gead up. Yeah, tupac um,
that's what I was gonna set. You bring us back
to keep your head up, tupac. Let's let's come back

(28:37):
to that. It's too crow back up of Joe here
on Fox Sports Bank, Brady Quinn Jonas knocks with you here.
All right, so we're gonna have an edition he does,
Oh yeah, he does. That'll be coming up here shortly.
But for all the latest fund the world, ladies and gentlemen,
this man's a starter wherever he goes. He's got twenty
plush years of proof. That's right. It's Edmund Garcia might

(28:59):
be playing will Hurt today though. Yeah, but you're here ready.
I know my voice may not be here, but I
am here you know, yeah, yeah, you know, I was
talking about what the guys the show before this one.
I was, you know, like just your normal conversational voice,
kind of like right now, I thought it was okay,
and then I then I started to kind of project

(29:21):
the voice a little bit, you know, kind of put
a little something extra into it, and you're like, oh, no,
this is not exactly what I thought it was gonna.
It's a bit and easily, but it's all right. We
like I remember when Brady got pissed at me because
he was like, yeah, I'm not sure if my voice
sounds good, like good on the air, and I was like, no,
I think it'll sound fine. And then we were like
a half hour. Brady text me goes, this is a

(29:42):
terrible idea, and I blame you. I'm sorry, I blame
you too. Jonas. Let me tell you this, what Jonas
gives you advice to the opposite? Thank you, hang, Joe Man,
I appreciate it. Sure the sponsors appreciate that too. Yeah,
does that matter? Do you give advice on things? Yeah,

(30:03):
trying to tell people sponsors need. All the sponsors need
to do is have you say you know what, um
I say that you shouldn't do this, that's all, and
then they would go to the sponsor. That is true,
just opposite. Ye. I'm just trying to provide some positivity
here on the way. Let's don't figure that out. Jonas.
You're good, you know good Jonas positivity here, like Eddie,

(30:24):
I think, Eddie sounds great. What are you talking about?
How's that? Ten? You? You went passive aggressive? You did?
You went passive aggressive? I mean, that's all my stories.
Come on, Eddie, got it? We go, here, we go.

coming up top the next hour here from the tire
Rack dot Com studios. A little over ten minutes from now,

(34:02):
we are going to have a discussion about the NFL
and how it's presented to you, because there's just an
obvious fact about the league that a lot of people
are not going to be happy with, but it is
the true. So we'll have that for you again a
little over ten minutes from now, and before we get
to another editions. Yeah. Absolutely, we could talk about how
complicated other banks make it to a deemed credit card rewards,

(34:23):
or we can talk about how it discovered you can
redeem your rewards for cash in any amount at any time.
I mean, talk about amazing learn more, discover dot com
slash redeemed rewards terms apply. Sometimes you can't get to
everything in the world of sports or entertainment. Good thing,
the guys are here to bring you in case you
missed it, and for that we turn it over to

(34:44):
our executive producer lead do do doital Lap You could
always scream it come on to Lap alright, guys, in
case you missed it. Uh. We obviously have seen a
couple of international games this season, most recently in Munich, Germany. Well,
the NFL has indicated that they were looking to expand
to two more countries, the top of that list being
Spain and France. Man, I just nobody in Europe cares

(35:09):
about the nfollowers. I would actually disagree with that. It's
just from being over there. It's a good party. I'll
tell you that it is. It's a good party. People
show up, they have all the jerseys on. It's a
pretty cool deal. I Um, I just don't understand why
we why we didn't bring back NFL Europe. It was
such a good develop that's pretty cool. It was cool

(35:30):
it Wasy Star was in NFL. Ear, wasn't he. There's
a lot of players James Harrison, Yeah, he was there.
I mean it was great for the development of players.
If if, if they really are serious about trying to
help minority had you know, head coaches continue to to
build up, you know, their resumes, etcetera, that would be
another avenue for it. You know, it helped coaches continue

(35:52):
to develop, get play calling experience, head coaching experience. It
was an avenue for that was great for the broadcast networks.
I mean, it just it made a lot of sense
and I think it put in some of the groundwork
for some of those countries who are intrigued by it.
I mean, I don't know about you guys. I don't
know what the tying is to Old Country Road and
why the hell they'd be singing in Germany. But if

(36:13):
you're singing that song, there's gotta be some things that
I think I've obviously resonated. Was it because Geno Smith
went to West Virginia? I don't know. I mean, it
was that supposed to be a home game for was it?
I thought it was Tampa getting a home That's why
I wouldn't make sense that. What I say is I
was in Barcelona fourteen years old when the Steelers played

(36:34):
the Niners. Richard Grieco was there as a guest. I saw,
who were you talking about? That was pretty interesting, Richard
Grico from One Jump Street. It was like almost like night,
you know, night at the Roxbury. But what I will
tell you is is my experience was uh, fourteen years old.

(36:57):
I'm I'm on a beach in Barcelona, Like, do y'all
want to comprehend that I broke I dislocated my pinky
because I saw such an amazing looking person and they
had nothing on and I did the like smooth little
run into the Mediterranean and I dove and it was

(37:20):
a shallow part of the ocean and I didn't know,
but I was just thinking in my mind I was
being cool and dislocated my pinky. That's a true story.
That was the first time I was acclimated to um
topless and it was it was European beaches. Yeah, it was.
It was quite an experience. So I would just say
for the sake of experiences and experimental leagues, I would

(37:46):
I would be okay with them coming back with an
NFL euro You know, my brother played in Amsterdam and
in I would have loved Amsterdam. He was in Italy
when I would have loved Italy when they won the
World cupan O six never been to Italy and he
was I think it was SENTI pro football and he
said that place after games after they won the World Cup,

(38:07):
he said was bananas had a blast. I don't know
as an adult like that was I was fourteen. I
can't even imagine what my experiences would be if I
was like a dope bass player in one of those places. Man,
I just got I couldn't havemagine. I don't want to
imagine that'd be fun. I'm old now, yeah, alright, well

(38:29):
come on lately guy. In case you missed the end
of Monday Night Football with the number of laterals. At
the end of the game, the Eagles were attempting to
come back where Davonte Smith had a lateral that was
later taken into the end zone. You guys remember that. Well,
certain sports book is refunding betters who had bet on
his receiving yard and he was sitting at fifty three

(38:50):
receiving yards at the time. Is over under in the
game was fifty two and a half. Well, after that
fum fumble that was taken into the end zone, it
dropped down to thirty nine sos are being refunded the money.
That's such a kiss as tactic. Come on this this
these are this is the game. It's a part of
the game. Yeah, you want to gamble, you want to
throw your money down. Sometimes bad stuff happens. Somebody blows

(39:13):
an a c L ten minutes in. Somebody all of
a sudden, you know, pulls a hammy, Like, what are
you going to refund every bet? Come on, man, this
this is just a pr move, all right. These bets
should count I lost a fantasy football game, which is
really the real story coming out of that Monday night
football game because of this exact same play. You don't
see me crying about it on the air. Take your loss,
come back next week, trying to be better. Hear you

(39:35):
cry about what we delete? So if you lee, what
if somebody bet the under on that, well, I think
I think they just they give everybody their money, but correct,
but I would want my money if I bet it,
right exactly, that's they are paying you. We're saying they're
paying both sides. So if you made that both sides, yeah,

(39:56):
they're just giving you the money back, which which is
a show good faith, right, And that's where they understand
in the long run, they can take that small l
because they know you're gonna hey, this is really nice.
So they were nice. Yeah at this same place. Yeah. Yeah,
it's uh, it's the free drink when you're gambling routine.

(40:16):
Like her, I got a free drink off, stay here
the whole time. And then Jonas out there throw a
twenty dollar bill in a penny slot machine, play one line,
one SENTI just get many and they're going to look
in your your bucket. Know that you're going to be there.
Just sit there. You got to you get two beers

(40:36):
in your mouth. Looks like a wal wrist just ripping
beers for twenty bucks. Throw them a couple of bucks
here there next thing, you know? Do know you could
go get like a six pack or twelve pack. Yeah,
but do you look like you're a big shot. If
they come over, you can bring drinks to you. So
you guys a celebrities. You don't get how the rest
of us were. You know what. That's all I can
take it. I was in Vegas. Would you? Fox Sports
