Speaker 1 (00:01):
It is the best of two pros and a couple
of Joe with LaVar areas Brady Quinn and Jonas knocks
on sports radio throwing the hooks up today, we're gonna
have a little different field to yeah, Bert, Yeah, you
know it's like some time we got I with Sam
in the house. Yeah that was Sam throws up the hook.

(00:22):
Ye oh, he was throwing He was definitely called braking mantis. Yeah,
he was throwing up. The man they are. They are
a little like pitchforks to Brady's point, and not not
the you know, the smooths in the world. Yeah, it's
all good. It is the day before Thanksgiving. Um, LaVar
had to rub it in. He's got a big newon
kickoff hat. Yeah. Pretty, let's dude. No, this is the

(00:47):
biggest nights to go out, especially for those coming back
from college. Like I never got to partake in this
because of football, but apparently tonight is a fun night
for you know, you said that last year. You know
that says to me, Brady, you missed it. I'm sorry
you missed it, my guy. You know, high school, at

(01:07):
some point, before we get too old, you want to
make sure we do a show together, um, the day
before Thanksgiving, and then we go out, you know, whether
it's in South ben or maybe State College or I
don't know, somewhere. You just let me know, bro, we're
planning it out. Well, here's the hard part about that.

(01:29):
So you're you're you're wanting to go out out of
college campus. What I'm saying is all the college campuses
are empty. Everyone's home but the teams who are still competing.
So you'd have to go back to like your hometown
type of Okay, well, let's go to your home. That's
where all the parties are at. Let's go to your hometown,
go to Dublin, tear it up a little bit. Let's
go to Let's go to your hometown to that one away.

(01:50):
I mean, I got you know, I got connections out there.
Make a couple of calls, you know, some guys that
can line some stuff up for us. You know, I'm
telling you. And also that's enough. And also here's the
conversation you have every time you go out the Wednesday
before Thanksgiving. You see somebody from high school you haven't
seen in years, and it goes something like this, so
what are you up to? And you got to have

(02:12):
the same tired conversation. Neither one of you gives a
ripid either want to use up to Otherwise you would
have kept in contact more often. And it's all a
bunch of crap. You're not you're not missing much, all right,
You're in a better true I care about people that
I don't keep up not me, then kist people I love?

(02:33):
Hold on, hold on? What does that even mean? How
can you ultimately really care about someone if you don't
keep up with him. Look, me and my brother's probably
talk like once a month, like like we don't talk.
We don't we don't talk much. Okay, yep, okay, good,
everything good, it's good. All right, cool, that's about it.
I'm just sad there's people I love I don't keep

(02:54):
up with. I mean, I don't know. I mean, it's
possible still keeping up with someone. What's a month if
you like, if by definition we're saying, oh I love
this person, I'm keeping up with them, you probably gonna
check like one at least once a week, might be
like man, like really only once a week? Like you
only check in on one time a week? Like we

(03:16):
could go months without talking? Really? Yeah, I mean you guys,
don't have family members that you you go months without
talking to, maybe even a year. Yeah, I mean do
you love them? Well, I mean they're like them whatever,
do you love them? I'm not sure? Right, it's kind
of different, right, I don't know why is it different?

(03:39):
So the family like you're born into it. You love
your family, so you love me, you don't keep up
with you for me, immediate families different like my cousins.
I have a lot of cousins I have no relationship
with whatever. I'm not talking about the ones you don't know,
talking about the ones you do know. Yeah, I've been
talking to but love, of course I talked to you.
Go you're gonna show up to their funeral? Right? Yeah?
I had to as her, like, don't talk to him

(04:01):
for the rest of their whole entire life. Like we
ain't talked since we was kids. What happened? Oh billy dad,
you got to come on home. Throw trust me, and
you know what, You're going home and you're gonna go
to the funeral. You'll be like, it's so nice to
not like, oh billy Billy Dad, Jonas, you gotta come

(04:23):
on home. Billy dead, Billy, Billy dead, Billy went on home. Yeah,
well I listen now. For those families you don't care about,
you know, whatever he does here it is um. And
so for those of you out there, happy to let

(04:45):
y'all know. I got any family members out there that
I haven't spoken to that I saw something at my
nana's funeral. But if I haven't talked to you doesn't
mean I don't love you. I just don't keep up
with you. So it's a nice Thanksgiving a message. Though
I do love you, I love you very much, like
love you in that way, I just don't keep up
with you. It's like one of those you're watching the

(05:05):
Thanksgiving Day games and one of the players pops up
there as they come back from break. Hey, this is
so and so I just want to wish you happy Thanksgiving.
The LaVar pops up. Hey, I hope ball as well.
See at the funeral man, Happy Thanksgiving from the Errington's
How Arrington is my cousin. He's my distant cousin. Right,
I'll be finding out like my cousins be popping up

(05:25):
like man, my cousins playing in the National Football League. Wait,
my cousins playing for a Super Bowl. Wait, my cousin
wanted super Bowl, I'll be having family members doing amazing
things I don't even be knowing. Wait, like wait, that's
that's our fact. Yeah, that's from such and such as such.
Cutting yep, yeah there it is, like, Okay, that's awesome,
makes sense, and we catch up. You know, it's like, man,

(05:47):
I didn't know he was family. Hey, hey you good, Yeah,
let's do it camp great Errington Camps. You know it's
like yeah, you know, well, we don't keep up every day.
I mean, Facebook is a great way of keeping up
with your family. Would keeping up with your family? You know?
They post pictures like, hey, here you go, I just
had another kid, Like, man, that's your thirteen kid. Like
I don't need to play by play of all thirteen

(06:09):
of your kids. But I'm glad I have new family
members and that I don't even know. Happy Thanksgiving and
happy Thanksgiving to y'all. So there. It is just a
wholesome start to the show. Here. I love y'all. We
don't keep up with each other off of the show
Dead Bodies, Distant cousins. How do we talk after the show?
I mean, honestly, we did talk three hours together every day.

(06:33):
What if I wanted more. What if I what if
I what if I wanted some more time? What if
I said I don't want to talk about sports, I
just want to get on Let's get on the phone
and let's talk about life, like what are you going
through in life? Are you good? Let's check in first
with your mental health. You are in studio together. How
often we talk at sports during the brain Never? Never?

(06:56):
There's not one conversation. In fact, that's probably a better
a better radio show when we talk off air in
our radio, different different, it would be top. Now I
will say this though, you want to know how today

(07:17):
of the week because Odell Beckham Jr. And a rumor
surrounding Odell Beckham Jr. Has popped up again and and
this time it's Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys who's
clamoring for Odell Beckham Jr. Here was the Cowboys quarterback
talking about how he feels about oh b J. He
knows how much I've want him here, And a lot

(07:37):
of these guys in this locker room I've seen have
reached out on their own in different ways to make
sure that he understands that this is a team that
he can help and we want him to come out.
I can't wait for this story to be over with.
I'm so tired of it. Can he make a decision,
signed with somebody and we move on with our lives.
What's going on here? What's I don't I don't understand.
I know he's like visiting teams now, but what I

(08:00):
just don't know why there's this big need in clamoring
for Odell Beckham with the Cowboys. I mean, I think
he's he's got a visit set with the Giants. Like
who else is really a contender or a candidate to
sign o b J? Like if it's Dallas, why not
sign with Dallas? I don't. I don't know what. I
don't know what the delay is on this. I really don't.
It's weird. Listen if if I'm if I'm guessing why

(08:26):
there's a delay, I'm I'm assuming it's two things. One,
there's there is trepidation about if he's going to be
a durable enough for your team. That's one. Are we
going to get him? And is he going to be
able to sustain during the course of just this season
the rest of this season? That's one. And then two,

(08:49):
if we're going to take that chance. I do not
want to be in a situation where we're financially strapped
based off of the scenario. That's it for me if
I'm looking at oh b J. Those are the two
things that I have got to have very very clear
answers on and then we can move from there. And

(09:11):
he's probably not going to be this year. It's next
year that's gonna be one of the biggest issues, right, yes,
because I would think if he's coming back from this injury,
you're not going to get him at full capacity whatever
that is that after multiple surgeries and injuries now until
next year. But he was talking about wanting a multi
year deal, Well, who's who's going to give him a

(09:33):
multi year deal? I mean, it would make sense to me.
You see how he works out the final games of
this season and then you go from there. But maybe
this is what the hold up is that he wants
some long term security and maybe nobody's willing to give
that to him, and who knows, maybe that's why the
Cowboys are have got their foot on the gas. But
I just this whole thing. At some point, let's just

(09:55):
make a decision to move on, and then what is
he really going to be incorporated in the offense just immediately.
Like we've like the Bears traded for Chase Claypool and
he's got like a handful of catches. He's been there
like three games. I mean, like, like, what are you
going to get from him this year that's really gonna
push them over the top if they're not already a contender.
It just it just feels that different. I don't know,

(10:18):
it's a good point. I mean, I think one of
the things that I almost look at it a Beckham
I mean, besides the fact that he might not be
healthy or at least or even featured in the offense,
Like does he know that he really wants that or not?
You know, maybe he just misses playing the game of
football at this point. It wants to be out there.
You know, only he really knows what's going on beside,
you know, inside his head. But do you ever you

(10:40):
ever know someone who's the type that like needs to
continue to move around and kind of jump from ship
to ship, like they need a new experience or they
get bored kind of easily. Like part of me wonders,
like he talks about wanting to buy a house, have
a long term deal and all that. You know, maybe
that's playing a factor into it because he's he's seemed
kind of transient, you know, like he's he's used to

(11:01):
jet setting, you know, he's used to kind of being here,
being there, being everywhere, And maybe that's playing a portion
of it. Is he's like, all right, I'm making a
big decision in my life where I want to go
somewhere where I'm gonna be here for a few years
and it might be end up being my home when
it's all said and done. So maybe that's something that's
that's you know, maybe taking some time and making that
decision because he feels like this is like one of

(11:23):
the decisions where he's actually gonna plant some roots instead
of just being more transient with it. Or it's just
the fact that he's not getting contract he wants. I mean, ultimately,
that's probably what it is. Like no one's offering him
what he's a custom getting paid. That's a tough thing,
right when you get paid X and then someone is
offering you after a while, when you get a little
older and they're often you why You're like, well, then

(11:45):
why the hell am I doing this? You know, like
you start to really question your motivations and question your
passion for what you're doing if they're not going to
compensate you what you think you're worth. So maybe there's
just more of a disconnect as to what he's worth
in his mind and what the market is actually saying
he's worth. That has to be it that, that has
to be it. The market has spoken, it has spoken,

(12:09):
and only people that know what that market is is
O b J, his agent and the teams that they've
spoken to. There's not like, who are you going to trade?
I mean, there is no reason to trade, but who
are you going to get rid of to add him
to your roster? Keep that in mind because if you
bring him on, somebody's got to go. So who are

(12:29):
you getting rid of? It could be you know you
mentioned before he's not going to do special teams. So
if you're getting rid of special teams contributors to add
oh b J and he's not even going to be
a feature receiver in your offense, what are you doing?
Ceedee Lambs a better receiver right now? Correct, Michael Gallup

(12:50):
better receiver than O b J right now? If healthy
I don't know. If healthy I don't know. And then
you've had what Noah Brown has played while at times
I mean play real, well, where's this other QB? It's
after that, right, but like you have to it's after that,

(13:11):
So what what do you pay that? After? That's what
bright sag? Is that? Yeah? So I mean who knows, Well,
we'll see you. But he's set to officially visit the Cowboys.
Reportedly sometimes after this just mrs College and he wants
to go back and go on official visits. It's like
he got game. You know, we're all out the red carpet.
That's great, man, you're saying when one last chance to

(13:33):
I don't think like maybe he's like, hey, I'm I'm
Jesus Shuttlesworth. You know, I want one last time to
be recruited because he's not gonna be recruited the rest
of his life. Yea, once it's over, it's over. No
one's will be walking around saying, hey, come to this party,
come to that party. You know. You know, I don't know, man,
the parties are fun, though, I think you gotta be well,

(13:54):
the parties he was going to probably are freaking phenomenal. Um,
you know. Yeah. Anyway, Uh, I think his last time
getting recruited to that level was to the Rams, I
really do. I don't even his recruitment now that's more
so this is more so for show players, don't I mean,

(14:16):
unless you're Tom Brady and there's a handful of guys
that I mean, we don't even see Aaron Rodgers dictating
who's coming to the team. A player isn't going to
dictate if a guy comes to a team. And and
so for what it's worth, Randall Cobb man, he did
kind of work. Lewis is still there. Okay, that's what

(14:38):
y'all going with. That's what that was a sticking point
for Aaron Rodgers. You know what, you know what if
you're going to recruit like you recruited Randall Cop didn't
give him a Randall cob contract. He's actually getting Randall
Cops actually getting paid. Well, is it is? It? Is
it comparable to Odell Beckham? What? What? Probably not? Probably not?

(15:03):
But I don't even know if it's um Again, you
have to look at the contract, but I think they
brought him in from Houston for like a three year,
twenty seven million dollar contract. I think if you're Odell Beckham,
you take that deal. But if you're Odell Beckham. Do
you take that deal? Yes? It was. Yes, if you're

(15:23):
Adell Beckham, you take that. But if you're Odell Beckham,
do you take that deal? Yes? I don't know that
Odell Beckham is getting offered more than that right now.
Wendall Cobb got a three year, twenty seven million dollar
deal with Houston correct guaranteed and the haver genial salad.
So let's revisit what I just said, what you just said,
how we just repeated it. But do you think O'Dell

(15:46):
Beckham is taking that deal? He should taking it? Yes,
you think he's taking it. You think see I think
he wants more. He might want more. He's not getting more.
But disconne there's a disconnect between the basques spread playing
out on two pros and a cup of Joe. The

(16:07):
reason why Odell Beckham it is not on the roster. Yeah,
we just played it out just now. I mean, if
you're his agent, you have to be. It's a by
the way, if you look through Randall CoP's career, and
I don't need to pick on Randall Cop, but um,
how many times do you think he's gone over a
thousand yards receiving once? Yeah, he was always kind of

(16:31):
the complimentary, uh slot receiver. I mean, but I mean
he seemed to always kill the Bears. I remember that
that was always. He's played twelve seasons, He's made seventy
million dollars. It's a good living, man, it's a great living,
especially considering like most receivers who aren't like a consistent
thousand yards receiver like main guy, probably aren't hanging around

(16:54):
in the league. I mean, he's played a full season once.
He was over a thousand yards once. It's crazy. Yeah,
So so we'll see how the Odell Beckham sweep steaks
turn out. But hopefully this whole thing gets wrapped up quick. Yeah,
I just we'll we'll get this round. It's it's the
Cowboys and there awesomely we gotta coo over there, No,

(17:18):
we gotta New York time. What you say, everybody gonna go?
Get no the detected right? No two years two years?
No two years no no no, no, no no no.
We're mainder of the season contract. Nobody, nobody wants to
go and other guys are the bads. Be sure to

(17:43):
catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup of
Joe with Brady Quinn LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week
days at six am Eastern three am Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio Whip. So things
that are getting a little bit weird in the NFC
YT alright, So, first and foremost, the l A Rams

(18:03):
release Darryl Henderson, he's our leading rusher on the season.
And we've got the cam Aker situation, and we've got
Matt Stafford and the concussion protocol, and we've got the
elbow injury he suffered this offseason. Like, it feels odd
everything that's happened with the l A Rams three and seven, Yeah,

(18:28):
three and seven, I believe, but it is just another
layer to the weirdness that is the l A Rams.
And apparently they're just gonna roll with cam Akers who
didn't want to be there three weeks ago. Apparently that's
the plan there with the L A Rams. I don't
get it. I don't get it either. I mean, what
the hell is going on in l A doesn't make
any sense. It almost like if you throw a fuss

(18:49):
or you make a big deal about it, like you're
the one that ends up staying that the one ends
up going. They're so bad man, they're they're they're atrocious,
they're one of the and and the pick, their first
round pick goes to Detroit, So the Lions are just
gonna pick up on a top five pick. At this point,
it's looking like, I mean at least headed in that direction.
After the season, the lines have ad where there's some

(19:10):
hope and some promise, Like it just feels like the
windows shut for the Rams and now we just get
to see who sticks around for the aftermath or and
and who decides you're just going to get up and go.
Like there's been some speculation about Matt Stafford maybe walking away,
that maybe retirement would be on the table. We know
Sean McVeigh talked about, you know that the broadcasting booth

(19:32):
and the rumor going to to be a broadcaster. It
feels like next year could be Sean mcveigh's final you're
at the Rams. Depending on how things go next year,
gone done deal? You what are you saying this year?
I don't know, you know, I don't know. You go
into a season and for most of the offseason it's

(19:54):
like is he going to return or is he going
to leave? Your best player? Same exact thing is gonna
go is he gonna leave. Now the best player gets
an extension, the the head coach is coming back, and
then this is the product that you guys put on.
Have we even said Aaron Donald's name this year? Not
much like, I mean, god bless like most dominant dude

(20:17):
that I've seen, most likely ever played played on the
defensive side of the ball. We haven't said his name.
Whose name? Have we said? Who has been a difference
maker for this RAMS team? Cooper Company's engine when Cooper
Cup was in all right, I'll give you Cooper Cup.
Now he's gone. So I just you know, I don't know.

(20:38):
I think this is this is we're we're not driving
this car anymore. We're we're gonna trade this one in
and we're going to try to bring a new one
off of the lot. Now what that looks like, what
to make the model is? Who's the driver? I don't know.
And I think that that's going to have to be
a hard conversation because I just don't think that the

(20:59):
l A market is not it's not established enough where
you can have a product fall as far off as
this one has. After building such an amazing uh facility
to play in and entertain your your your fans. I
just don't think that they can just say, Okay, yep,
we're gonna give this another one or two years and

(21:22):
see where we're at there and reassess and reevaluate. You're
you're bad, You're really bad, and you're bad in a
number one media market, number two media market. You you've
got to be aggressive in how you do things. And
I don't know what that that what that means off
season wise, but I wouldn't say anyone is safe, including
the head coach. Well, I don't know that they're gonna

(21:45):
move on from him, I'll put it that way. I mean,
I don't think there's any thought in their mind about that.
It's just that whether or not he wants to do this,
and and maybe there's a thought that he doesn't want
to go through a rebuild, because that's what's what that's
what's this, this is gonna be. You know, the whole
FM picks only works for a window of time and
then you find yourselves in cap hell, which is what
they're gonna be in. So at this point, you know,

(22:07):
I don't think they're moving on from Sean McVeigh. It's
more Sean McVeigh saying I don't want to have to
go through, you know, to three years of us trying
to turn over this roster and get it to where
we need to and get a better cap situation to
make another run. I'd rather go have some peace of mind,
you know, go start a family, all that stuff, and
focus on on my personal enjoyment, and then come back

(22:29):
to this team or somewhere else once they're in a
better situation. I could see that scenario playing out. And
also Jalen Ramsey's at it down here too as well. Right,
I mean, it's hard to ever say he has a
down here, Like the guy is so good. He's he's
had a different standard, you know. I think any cornerback
when you're not getting the rush to help out to

(22:50):
a degree, you're gonna have some you know, balls completed
on you, that sort of thing. But he's still one
of the best in the league in my opinion. And
then there's this in the end C West dateline Mexico
City where the Arizona Cardinals who fired their offensive line

(23:10):
coach and running game coordinator Sean Coogler. Um, Well, there
was an instant in Mexico City on Sunday night, and
they sent him home before the game on Monday, and
according to sources who spoke with the ESPN, he was
fired because apparently he groped a woman in Mexico City

(23:31):
over the weekend. Mexican authorities were notified of the incident.
It happened on Sunday night, as we mentioned, and they
informed the Cardinals. They fired him, send him back to
Arizona on that flight Monday morning, and the Arizona Cardinals
had just gotten there on Saturday, so he was there
twenty four hours. A little bit over twenty four hours,
groped a woman, got clipped and sent back home and

(23:53):
another so so another layer to what a disaster it's
been for the Arizona Cardinals this season. Um now they
are being featured on Hard Knocks right now. I wonder
if that will be featured. I'm gonna assume that's probably
not gonna be on Hard Knocks. Makes the episode way
more entertaining. You know, put part ways and move forward.
I would assume you know you'd want you'd want to

(24:14):
get away from your responsible Is that? How how moronic
is that? How asinine is that? How everything else dumb? Stupid?
Like how I mean honestly, like you're a coach in
the National Football League. You got it made like you
scream out some guys for a couple of hours a day,

(24:35):
watch some film, put it on paper, here's a play.
You got other people. You've got quality control, people that
basically do your job for you. Break up to tape,
you got film people that that organized break up to
tape by down distance and you know tendencies. All you
have to do is get in front of the room,
talk to your group, make sure they know what their
objectives are for the game, and keep it moving. And

(24:58):
you're gonna mess that up over you know, a good time.
It's just as strange to me. Man. So the decision
making that some people make and listen, I don't know
what people be going on and have going on in
their personal lives. And I'm not one to judge. And
I'm definitely not the guy that's holding the stone and
and and throws it and puts his hand behind his back.
I'm I'll be the first one to tell you I'm

(25:20):
not a perfect dude. I'll be the first one to
tell you that that I have my shortcomings and I
definitely have lapses and judgment and in my own personal
life at times. I'll be the first one to tell you.
But what I don't understand is how do you allow
yourself to make decisions like if if it was because
of alcohol, like you gotta know your limitations. If it's

(25:44):
one good drink and you step away, then you step away,
you find yourself where you're drinking and you're to the
point of blacking out, or you're slobbering all over yourself
and you're saying and you're doing things that are very
chauvinistic or very disrespectful and that and that manner. I
hope you're with somebody who's responsible enough when you're not
responsible because your dumbass needs somebody to help you. I

(26:07):
hope that you're you're responsible enough to get up out
of there if you find yourself in that that type
of scenario. And when I hear stories like this man,
it's always a disappointing deal because what are you? What
are you? Why are you behaving that way like groping
a woman? Like come on, man, like where what like?
What did you get out of it? Was it worth it? Today?
You're sitting at home today, was it worth it? I

(26:30):
can guarantee you we all know what the answer to
that is yah, and now it stays with them, and
good luck you know who knows. Listen, we don't know
all the details of it, but that is the report
that's out there. And and also, if you're gonna be
on one of those road trips, I would assume you
kind of want to play it cool. You can't. You
can't mess around or maybe act the way you normally
act in some of those other areas, because they're not

(26:52):
they're not playing around like anybody who's ever been to Mexico.
The federal allies don't play around like. They drive around
a little differently than what we do in the States.
I'll tell you that I had a buddy get arrested
and and nobody could get a hold of him. He
didn't have his phone on him because he got drunk
in public. He didn't he didn't grow up anybody, but
got drunk drunk in public, got picked up, got popped,
and and was just disappeared for. And then the cats

(27:15):
be in their pickup trucks and they be pulled up.
They'd be pulled up like we'd be getting sensitive about
how our law enforcement people be moving around. There's okay,
go check out what's going. Okay, try that with them
over there, dude. I was just gonna say, people who
get upset about our law enforcement must not travel. Like

(27:38):
I'll just leave it at that, because you can't complain
when you travel. You go other places, you see how
like the police operate or act, or you see how
quickly you could have things taken away from you or
even for example. And I don't know, I'm not gonna
get off on a big tangent on this, but I
I was text with Jenny Taft, who's over in Qatar
right now, and she was like basically saying how sexist

(27:59):
is like bottom line, like she can't go into the
stadium in the same spot as men. Well, yeah, but
it's a little different. She doesn't have to do that
as much as the others over there, but just even
the fact that she can't go in through the same
entrance as a man, we're going through security. She's like,

(28:19):
I've experienced certain things like this, this is the tops
of that and so and I just I sat there
and I thought to myself, like, man, we have it
so good in this country, but a lot of times
we don't know it because we never go anywhere else.
To that that sort of perspective about just how free
we really are when it comes down to it. Man,
I told you I've been to Mexico City quite a

(28:40):
few times. And even when you go to like Cabo
and different places like that, they be on their pickup
trucks and they be ready for war. Yeah, Like they
don't look like police, they look like the military. We
weren't my buddy's bashment party in Cancoon and we're like, oh,
let's go downtown. You know it was boring by the hotel.
The hotel sucked, and we're like, let's let's go downtown.
We go downtown and they're driving through the streets in

(29:04):
tanks with rifles. If they pull up on you, don't
be on that. I'm filming you. We're getting it off film.
I wish you would like in New York City. They
they've got carriage rides in in Mexico and they've got
guys on tanks. In New York and New York they
do have assault rifles. They do like in certain places

(29:25):
they have assault right. New York is one of those
places where they do have us. They will go to
they will cut you down in New York. But I'm
telling you, you go to somewhere like Mexico City, Mexico
in general, they have an entire They are standing up
in the back of a pickup truck. There is a
big gun that's bigger than all the guns that they're holding,

(29:47):
that's connected to the bed of that that pickup truck.
And they are squeezed up into that pickup truck and
they're ready for whatever it is that's gonna pop off.
They're ready, and they pushing like they drive around. You
look at him. If you hear anything, you move, don't
say a word. That's what you do. And that is

(30:10):
dumb for somebody to be groping a woman. And that
scenario in a land where if you get caught up,
don't be sitting there jumping on the phone like I
didn't do it. No, that's not what happened. I did
do it. No, you in the wrong place. Jack, by
the way, he's he's place. He's like he got out

(30:32):
of there. That they got him on the plane and
sent him home, like he like he sounds like something
that that. I don't know. They said they informed the authorities,
So I don't really know how that one played out.
That would be interesting to see how that one played out,
how he was able to get back on the playing
right home the next day and get back. Be sure

Right now, we turn it over to the man himself,
Petros Papadecas. He is the co host of the Petros
and Money show can be heard on which station again,
Brady the bluetorchiv l a sports Fox college football analysts.

(31:54):
I mean he'll call games, he'll sit behind the desk.
I mean, there's nothing this man can't do. And you
can him on Twitter at the old Petros. How are
we feeling? Good morning, Good morning, sir, it's happening. Are
you going tired? Yeah? Breaking down the college football playoff ranking. Yes, Michigan,
Ohio State, Iowa State, TCU, Kansas, Kansas State, Notre Dame

(32:18):
USC come on big time a cow this week though, Right,
I got U c l A Cal and I have
Stanford b y U. But only one of them I'm
going to do in the Bay Area? Which, um, where's
Cal out at this pointitive big Strawberry Canyon? Right about

(32:39):
the camp in E league? Did I still have for
betting advice? Petros? So well? Cal always plays U c
l A tough. Okay, That's all I needed. They've played
each other for a long time. They have a great
running back, probably the best young back in the league,
and Jade And yes, but U c l A a

(33:01):
little hungover from a very emotional intergalactic battle with U.
S C. Yeah, but uh yeah, that'll be interesting. You know,
this time of year, it's all just you know who's
gonna play and how many guys do you have that
are really willing to play? And are you ready to go?
And are you discouraged or can you get something done?

(33:23):
Petro's can can the salary cap and door long enough
for USC to get to the point of winning the
national title? Again the salary cap? Did I say salary cap?
I'm in I'm in um l yeah, same thing. But yeah,
I'm glad you caught it. I'm glad you all caught it.
I mean I was being facetious obviously, but you know

(33:44):
the idea I mean they I mean, you know, Reggie
Bush should get his eyesman back, is what I'm saying.
But here's the point, right honestly to look at what
USC was to what they are right now, and we
all know you can attribute it to the transfer. There
is no none bigger than Caleb Um. I mean, they're

(34:04):
they're on pace and on track to be a dominant
team in college football outside of just winning in the pack.
Do you think that they can get there? Like, can
they get to the point of where they can go
beat in Alabama or Georgia or anything in in the
playoffs and and get a championship. Well, Alabama is not
gonna be there, you know. And and that's kind of

(34:25):
the thing, right because Alabama would probably be favored against
USC if they played on a neutral site, But USC
is the one that's in a position to get there.
And on even years, when USC at the end of
the year plays Notre Dame and then before that U
C l A. And then you'll have your whatever conference

(34:50):
championship game, all of that gets a lot of attention.
Those are three really big national games at the end
of the year for USC, and if you can win
those games, then you get a lot of eyeballs and
you get a lot of people celebrating your team. And

(35:10):
I just remember two thousand two was like that. Carson
Palmer gained a lot of momentum as the year went on,
and he ended up winning the Heisman because he had
a great performance against U c. L A. He had
a great performance against Notre Dame, and then he had
a great performance in the Orange Bowl and everybody was
all over him and he won the Heisman before the

(35:32):
bowl game. And that might happen here with Caleb I
think they have an offense that is really resilient. They
lost Travis died, but they were still able to win
a game against a team that has Zack Charbonnett running back.
So they're they're doing a lot of good things. And
we all knew that USC was fixed when they hired

(35:55):
Lincoln Riley. We knew they were gonna win ten games.
Where were those end games gonna come? Were they gonna
gain momentum as the season went on, as and improve
as the season went on, And they have, And not
only that, but they've kind of overcome their defensive deficiencies
with offensive opportunism. And it's been interesting to watch. Caleb

(36:19):
Williams is like, I don't know who to compare him to.
He's pretty good, you know, he really do. Yeah, he
refuses him sacked, he extends plays. He really competitive, he's
got a fire. And when you saw that with d
t R two, but DTR made mistakes down the stretch
because he was playing a little bit recklessly and Williams

(36:40):
did not. So it's a hell of a game. Was
that The big difference between those two is just the
quarterback play. Caleb Williams just a better quarterback. I don't know,
but yeah, I guess he willed his team in a
different way and they overcame. Not having Travis tie, they
got Austin Jones going it was pretty impressed. So it

(37:00):
really was. It was a hell of a game. And
they made some defensive adjustments down the stretch, and I
mean U c l A was still driving to win
and they got to turnover because they dropped a d
M who made a made a play, so you gotta
give him credit. It was. It was a heck of
a game in USC has got to going down down
the stretch and people in the South are panicking they

(37:20):
might only get one team in. That's that's gonna be
an interesting thing though, is if l s U beats Georgia.
I feel like the way they set things up it's
so they can try to get too in the College
Football playoff criteria. That bs a side um is USC
in your mind based on what you've seen this year?
Are they a top four team? Like when you put

(37:42):
them up there amongst the George's, the Ohio States and
then whatever other you know team you want to throw
in there in your mind, I mean, I guess that
quarterback makes it that way. I mean, I don't know
if he'll allow them to lose or not score with
another team. So but really in real life, probably not
to answer your question, But that doesn't really matter because

(38:04):
if USC wins the three games at the end of
the year against ranked teams, I mean, up to this point,
how many ranked teams did USC beat zero? Well, yeah,
that's the one, right, I mean, otherwise they went to
Utah and lost, and they went to Oregon State and
almost lost, should have lost. So here we are at

(38:25):
the end of the year, and recency biases everything, and
the committee does not. They don't show themselves to be
I mean a group of integrity. It's not like they
stick to one decision and one precedent and let that
ride throughout the year. They'll change like a high school girl.
So it doesn't really make a difference what they say

(38:46):
now as opposed to what they're gonna say at the
end of the year. I mean they've proven that year
and a year out. If USC beats U c l A,
Notre Dame and then I don't know, Oregon, then you're going.
And that's what Lincoln Riley has said and and held
to since people started asking about the playoff like midway
through October, and he's right, you know, that's kind of

(39:08):
where they're at right now, and they have to just
take care of their own business. Now, what does that mean?
Are they actually better than Georgia or Alabama or l
s U or it doesn't matter, because if you're a
one lost team coming out of a power of five
in this climate this year, you're gonna go like the

(39:29):
interesting You say that though, because people discredit TCU, and well, no,
and I'm with you, and that's why I'm saying, like,
that's your opinion, but we also know that the playoff
committee has a little wiggle room to put in what
they feel like it's the four best teams, and so
that that's the only reason why I get concerned about it.
Is like I look at it. I'm with you. I
think that they should get in. If they went out,

(39:51):
I should TCU. But even but that that's an undefeated
TCU team, Like people look at TCU and go what
they lose? Again, they shouldn't make it in. Dude. They've
beat five top teams so far this year for four
weeks in a row. Don't get any Brady. It drives me.
I mean, I don't you know how much it drives
me crazy. I mean, TCU is playing great. They are

(40:13):
finding ways to win down the stretch, and like you said,
they're undefeated. The kick they had to execute to beat
Baylor was brilliant. The way they did it showed huge.
As you said on the television, Stones, I didn't know
you can get away with that. Brady's something else. That
showed a lot of balls, Brady, that showed big sack.

(40:34):
Can you you said, Stones? If you guys said balls,
would they give you a hard time? I don't know, Petels,
what would happen? All right? I don't know. Everybody's in cutter.
I probably got the B team like, oh god, that
was the best comment. But you know, I mean I

(40:55):
did it really bothers me that, you know, something happens
in college football that is wonderful, that is great, that
is unexpected, That had nothing to do with all the
blow viating during the summer and whatever they wrote in
the athlon guide. All of that goes out the window.

(41:15):
And then you know, under under Sunny Dikes, who no
one would ever think was gonna put together a team
with all three phases, TCU is undefeated. No one saw
that coming and it's it's really interesting. I mean, just
just a quick point about the Big Twelve, Like, the

(41:35):
two hottest coaches in the conference as far as hiring
wise are Bill Kleman and Lephold in Kansas. I mean,
those are the two best guys. And I just think
of the situation in Kansas State because I've been there
after Snyder, and they had such a good thing under
Bill Snyder. But at the same time, once he left

(41:58):
and this new guy took over and kind of opened
it up a little bit more in a certain way,
they became even better the Wildcats. And it's the same
thing with with TCU. You know, under the thumb of
Gary Patterson, a great and innovative coach defensively all these years,
and suddenly somebody comes with new eyes and the place
starts to flourish. And that's what we love about college football.

(42:21):
We want this stuff. We want t C used to
be undefeated around Thanksgiving, and then when it happens, we
have to find a reason to tell everybody why L
s U or somebody is better even though they have
a loss, and it's b s I I think, you know,
it's the preseason rankings and a lot of the stuff
we do in the off season sets us back for
what's actually going to happen during the season, and that

(42:44):
is a shame. Brady and I worried for that too.
How much of it you think has to do with
the fact that ESPN controls it? But you know, I
try to tell people not to think of it as
the Big Ten versus the SEC or whatever conference. I
think been as Fox versus the ESPN, and because that's

(43:05):
really what it is. And ESPN, I mean, there's a
reason all they talk about is the Heisman in the
college football Playoff, and it's because they own those entities
and that's just what it is, and they push their
brand past the competition of the game over the competition

(43:26):
of the game. And I don't like it. I mean,
I really don't like the way the product is set up,
and it kind of makes me bitter towards the playoff
and the Heisman when I shouldn't be as much. But
since they owed it and they owned the SEC for
all practical purposes, they it sucks. Petro's what's Thanksgiving like

(43:47):
in a Greek household? Take us take us in here
flying the cow in the middle of the night, okay,
or West Virginia or wherever I else have gone, you know. So,
I mean we got the specific are you ever home
for Thanksgiving? Brady? This will be actually, ironically the first
one I'll be back in Ohio with my family for

(44:07):
And I was thought about this with my wife. I
can't remember the last time. I think this is the
first time since I was like maybe earlier in high school. Yeah,
I've been back. I've been back to Ohio, but my
family was gone. That's a song. Uh, yeah, it's you know,
during the football season, you're usually not if you work

(44:28):
football games, you usually are not home during Thanksgiving or
having Thanksgiving in some place like the Oread Hotel and Lawrence, Kansas.
And I've had Thanksgiving all over the world. But but yeah,
it's uh, it's a traditionally a normal Thanksgiving, but with
probably heavier drinking and spinna copita which is a spinish

(44:50):
and feed to cheese and Philo dough dish. Oh that's nice,
very nice. Yeah, with a little Peter you're like some
Peter or some it's not no that you have the
feel o dough, which they'll be stupid. Listen, I'm just
asking questions here. I've never been to Grease, I got
you get a good living. Happy Thanksgiving in Yeah, he's
a ham guy anyway. By the way, Petros on Thanksgiving

(45:13):
like a Honey Baker guy. Well, it's just it's a
little more consistent than turkey. It just is fair enough.
You know what you're gonna get. Um. And by the way,
you did great on the desk, you know with Lav.
I'll be back on the desk on on Saturday with
Chris Peterson and Emmanuel Acho. All right, is good, dude.

(45:35):
He's got energies rapid fire. Yep. You know you gotta
have energy in the studio. That's a long day. I
don't know if Brady knows about that. So Petro's Happy Thanksgiving,
Happy Holidays to you and yours. I get him on
