buying should be. Dang pick it, hey, white gloves on snap. Yeah,
you just can't force it, man, you guys are trying
to force it. Just hate lose it. It had its time,
it was nice, well it would last it. Now it's over. Yeah, uh,
just it's a damn shame. Here's here's the difference. I
will always err on the side of cutting something off
(01:51):
too soon. You know, if like I was, if I
was a manager in baseball and I saw like one
walk and be like, already's out, let's go to the bullpen,
Like I would not allow my picture to be in
there a little bit too long, especially in the course
of the regular season. Jonas, on the other hand, would
have this guy go fifteen innings and just absolutely wear
into the ground. Oh my god, Jonas, do you know
(02:15):
this by the little Jonas in his house all right,
he has a picture of a dead horse, literally of
a dead horse up on the wall. And it's because
he literally just beats every dead horse to a second
day in fairness. In fairness, it was just a standalone
shot of sanady To Race Track and the horse just
(02:35):
happened to be there. Just don't want the truth did
with a good story. I'm just saying, like, look, it's
you know, it's kind of how you stick the landing.
It's like how you know, like a dark like it's
just kind of yeah, there's something about yeah. It's like
one of those things you know. All right, So speaking
of sticking the landing of the New York Jets, all right,
(02:55):
the New York Jets have themselves a starting quarterback and
Mike White out for this week anyways. Now, Robert Slow,
the head coach, spoke with the media yesterday and he
updated the media on the situation at quarterback and the
determination as to who's going to start from week to week.
He talked about Mike White. He also mentioned Zack Wilson,
(03:15):
who was inactive for last week's game. Here was the
Jet said, coach, We're gonna go week to week. There's
things that we'd love to see Zach accomplish over the
course of uh, we'll call it a reset. And this
is Mike White's opportunity that doesn't change. So Mike's got
an opportunity to go to stack another great day up
this week, and when we feel like Zach is ready
to roll, he's going to roll the full intense to
get Zach ready to play football again. I'll make that
(03:37):
decision when I'm ready. And while we're going through this process,
it's Mike White's opportunity to to take advantage of every
last play that he gets. We'll figure it out as
as we go. Yeah, I don't get it. That's one
of ringing endorsement from from Robert Salom. I wonder if
Mike White's gonna keep those receipts right, Like, hey, coach, thanks,
thanks for the opportunity. I guess you're just waiting for
me to fail. Let's have one bad game so you
(03:58):
put your boys Zack back in. What an awful message.
Waiting for Zach in street clothes to mature enough or
in practices to mature enough is enough? Yeah, that's going
to be enough for him to mature. Yeah, it's like
dog years. You know, three weeks in the NFL, that's
like seven years in real life. It's week thirteen. What
(04:21):
do you mean waiting for zachting you're ready year two. Yeah, Like,
I don't understand what do you have twenty starts? I mean,
I I just I don't understand what the waiting is
for waiting for what? Like I mean, So, say he
comes back and he's shown something and it's week sixteen,
all of a sudden, in a fight for the playoffs,
you're gonna put him back in likening him if that,
(04:41):
if this is indeed, at face value, the truth of
the matter, he's sonning Zack Wilson like, like your I'm
your dad, You're my child. I'm going to take this
away from you because your grades weren't good, and I'm
going to to make you see the value of exactly
(05:04):
what it is that I want from you before. I'll
give you back the things that you had before. I
give you your video game back, I give you your
cell phone back, I give you the car back. You're
going to do it, and you're going to see it
exactly the way I want you to do this is
this is classic sunning. If if he is indeed telling
the truth, if he's tongue in cheek and he's telling
(05:27):
you that, listen, we got a good thing with Mike
White going right now, and you're probably it. Mike continues
to play, well, you're probably not going to get another
opportunity to play this year, and we will revisit what
the situation is in the off season. That would, to
me is more of a feasible and more plausible explanation
(05:48):
for what's taken place. I think Robert Sali has done
an excellent job as a coach in terms of how
he's handled his team and how he's handled this season.
I think this is a misstep. I really do. I
think this is a misstep. And how he's how he's
talking about it, like give it, give it in a
way where you don't have to give us everything, but
(06:09):
you are in New York City, so just give us
the realness of it and be done with it. And
if that's what he just did, then he's sunning him.
He's he's trying to coach him and teach him through
father's son relationship type of patterns. You're not gonna hear
the New York you know media be critical of this.
Like the best performance by any quarterback this past week
(06:31):
was Mike White. The best performance probably have a Jets
quarterback since Mike White um at least the recent history.
And yet that's his response, like the way he either
doesn't have a feel for how his team feels or
he realizes at this point because because here's what I
said two weeks ago, this was a mistake. He never
(06:55):
should have done this in the first place by benching
Zack Wilson. And the reason why I said that is
because now you find yourself in a scenario where Mike
White looks that much better. Granted and jonas you point
us out, you know, banged up Chicago Bears, secondary, I
get that, but he's still out there in an NFL game,
(07:15):
making the throws, making the plays and looked that much better.
And if he looks that much better this week, Robert
Salo put himself in the position where like, what's your
excuse to take him out? Like you've literally left the
guy in there who's been shopping at the bit for
his opportunity. He's now seizing that opportunity. It's a great story.
Hopefully it continues to be a great story for Jets
fans so they can win and maybe go to the playoffs.
(07:38):
But you literally now are what gonna You're gonna just
yank him out at some point because of a bad half,
a bad quarter, a bad decision. I mean, and it
never made sense if this is the narrative of how
you're gonna spend things after Mike White played as good
at football as a quarterback's played since you've been a
head coach with the Jets, you should have left Zack
(07:58):
Wilson in there, and you should have given a vote
of confidence. Said, Look, he apologized to the team, he
talked to a bunch of the leaders, met with him separately,
took him out to dinner, had long talks with him,
and we're gonna keep supporting Zac until he grows. And
you never would have put your team in this position.
But because of how he reacted, benching Zach, demoting him
now he's not even active on game day, and then
(08:19):
putting him in a position where he's just running scout team.
Do you think a week is enough time? Like to
your point, let bar, it literally feels like a scolding, like, Hey,
you said something dumb after a game where you played poorly,
not taking accountability. Son, I'm gonna scold you and I'm
going to ground you from being the Jets quarterback for
(08:40):
a week or two. We'll just see how things play out.
Like I'm going through this with my kids right now,
trying to understand and teach them, you know, lessons and
and and those that that sort of thing. But really,
like this was a mistake in the first place. If
this is how Robert Salo is gonna handle this, he
needs to just say, hey, I'm behind my quarterback that
that's Mike White right now, and so it's not you know,
(09:02):
so be it. But like the conversations about Zack Wilson
should be like irrelevant. I know he feels the need
to answer them, but what's the point. He's not even active,
He's not even a thought of playing right now until
he is. But this, this entire thing has been fumbled
by Robert Salo, I think because he felt the need
to be so outward with how they're managing things and
(09:25):
how everyone else is doing and all of that. And
by the way, Robert Salo has managed everything since he's
been there as a head coach about as good as
you possibly could until this moment. Uh, has Zach Wilson
had a game anywhere close to what Mike White just
put together on Sunday anywhere close since you ever thrown
for three touchdowns in his entire career so far as yet. No,
(09:51):
it was against a depleted Bear Sea. I mean, give
it a little bit of breathing room. See, this is
what I wonder it wasn't. It wasn't against Uh, it
wasn't against the best defense in the league. Yeah. But
what's what's the make you think that Zach Wilson, based
on how he played, would have done that. I don't know.
I don't know. I just would try to have some
(10:13):
type of hope because if I'm the New York media
and I enjoy um sticking up for him and pulling
for him to to work, I would offer up the
idea of it was the Chicago Bears, like I need
to see it against the better teams. I'll put it
this way. He's had more games with three or more
interceptions then he's had with three or more touchdowns. Well,
(10:37):
there you go. I got a conspiracy. Alright, you guys
ready for this? Hit it Burt, all right, here's a conspiracy.
All right. So Robert Stack is joining us here in
a trench. Hats are out real rebel this Robert Stack
no mask here in California. I think the Jets are
(10:58):
planning to move Zach Wilson this offseason via trade, and
this is an elaborate way to try and keep him healthy,
make sure he doesn't get hurt. He's been susceptible to
injuries over the past couple of years. We've seen it
already and this whole I we need to get him
ready to play football again. I think they've realized if
(11:20):
we keep them out there playing, it's gonna hurt our
trade value anyways. So why don't we at least keep
him healthy and let's go ahead and move on this offseason.
Zach Wilson is not playing another snap for the Jets.
I think he's gone this offseason being a trade. What
are you making that? Come on, co sign on that.
Put that in your co signed pipe and smoke it.
Come on now what you want? Good? Do you co
(11:43):
sign or not? You? Oh? You guys are asking me,
I don't Why not? Well, okay, for starters. Let's just
look at the top of the draft. So Houston's drafting
number one overall. Do you think that, being that they
have the number one overall pick, they're not going to
take a Bryce Young, Will Levis whoever else they put.
By the way, Anthony Richardson, I feel like for people
(12:05):
who probably don't watch college football, he's the quarterback at
Florida and he may very well come back. I don't
know what his what decision he'll make, but um, the
box score didn't look great. But if you watched him
play against Florida State this past week, I mean it
is ridiculous watching him, Like he is such a rare,
rare talent. I would if he came out this year,
(12:28):
and I think he should, by the way, because I
think the draft competition for is over. Caleb Williams will
be the number one overall pick. Like you might get
some teams who are positioning themselves and and this is
more of a conspiracy theory, but I think it's more
legit literally two tank in just to be able to
get Caleb Williams in four. But but I digress. Um
(12:50):
Richardson could be a guy. It's taken in the top
ten times. A dude. He's a big dude, but he's
an unbelievable athlete. Like the way he runs is ridiculus
and and he's actually like you know, I know he's
still you know, developing as far as a quarterback processing everything,
but dude, he can sling it like he's got some
(13:10):
really good fundamentals. When he gets a clean pocket and
when he when he knows where he's going with the
football or you know, it's just maybe a two read progression,
he can get it out there and her he's gotta
rocket for an arm. But my point is this, I
just dame three quarterbacks. You've got Houston that number one,
Chicago to they're not taking a quarterback. They got justin fields.
(13:30):
You've got Detroit. Now I believe who's got the Rams
pick drafting three overall, maybe they take one. You've got
then Seattle at four. From Denver, maybe they take one,
I don't know, Caroline at five. So you kind of
start looking through the top five right there. I think
you can make the case three of those teams might
be looking for a quarterback. And by the way, there's
plenty of others that are gonna be talked about as
(13:52):
part of being a first round pick. Um C. J.
Stroud's another name I didn't mention, but he'll probably be
a part of that conversation. My point is this, you've
got four guys all that I think are gonna have
higher draft grades than Wilson, and you've got you know,
multiple teams that could pick any one of those four
instead of wasting trade compensation on Zack Wilson. I just
(14:14):
what are you giving up to get Zack Wilson at
this point? So he's just inactive until what Joe Flacco
doesn't look good on the scout team and then we
realize quarterback. I don't want I don't think it's gonna
be an act of the rest of the season any
more games six, seven, Yeah, you know, I bet he
(14:36):
comes in and place in the next couple of I mean,
that's gonna be. That's gonna be dictated off of the
way Mike White plays. That. My caveat would be if
Mike White falls on his face, but was there expecting
him to. That's what bothers me the most about Robert
Sali saying that, is like, look, I get it. They
see these guys every day in practice. They've seen Mike
(14:57):
White for a while now. He's been there and Zack
Wilson has been there, so they're probably watching their heads
thinking eventually the true colors are gonna show and we're
gonna put Zack back in there and he can maybe
be the hero and house savor season like that has
to be the narrative behind what a support system. But
but he just said it, like like after what Mike
White just did, how could you as a head coach
(15:18):
leafar you coach right now if you had a quarterback
that came in and played that well after your starter
had been playing so poorly this year and you've wonted
despite him, I'm not going back to him unless I
have to, unless I have no other recourse. Like I'm
looking at that, I'm looking at the prior starter as
you weren't the solution to us winning and being a
(15:40):
better team. I don't see that changing. So if I
were to go back to that that player as a coach,
if I go back to him, is because I have
no other recourse. That's like as a coach, that's how
I would feel. If you're my starter and I've started
you and you've earn't that right to be the guy
that goes out there for and and that's what's established
(16:03):
if I have to pull you out mid season and
I'm not even dressing you, like we have three quarterbacks
and you were my starter, and I'm not even dressing
you for the game, or say high school, we dress everybody,
so you are dressed, but you you don't go in
at all. That's because I don't trust you. That's because
(16:23):
I don't believe that we can win with you. I
just don't know how you how do you recover from that?
Like they can show if it is something correctable, like
the way he's doing, something like his reads, or something
that we can say we can look at on film
and say this is a correctable deal, then sure, I
(16:44):
guess you give yourself that you know that that opportunity
to to see the growth. That's what being a coach represents.
But I also at the same time, you don't make
a decision that big as a coach unless you've lost
the trust in that player. And we all know if
you don't have trust as a coach, then you can't
(17:06):
use that person that you don't trust because you're ultimately
always going to be looking at them waiting for them
to do exactly what it is that you expected them
to do. And then now that plays on you as
a coach. I let everybody else down. The Minnesota's got
the worst past defense in the league. That's who the
Jets have this week. I mean, if he goes out
and plays you know, close to where he played last Sunday.
(17:29):
I just so, what is this like a slow climb?
By what week fifteen or sixteen, Zach Wilson will move
up to second on the depth chart and then you know,
in case of injury, we could bring him in it.
Just the whole thing is odd, man. I I don't,
I don't. But you can't be critical. You're not allowed
to be critical because if you are, then the doormat
Jets fans come after you because you're a quote unquote hater.
(17:51):
You know, God forbid you disagree with anything the organization does.
So that's the overall watch film and actually like be critical, Yeah, thing,
you can't do that, not as the whole I think
it's the whole Milf situation. You know that he's into.
I think there's maybe some Jets fans or moms that
might be you know, it's true visiting with Zach. I
don't know. I mean, look, I mean, I think it's
(18:11):
a lot of people outing themselves without realizing that. Clearly
you go through their browser history and a lot of
that stuff pops up, and so here we are. This
is the situation with Mike White and Zach Wilson as
your quarterback. And by the way, don't forget Joe Flacco.
He's still there, but you know, we leave him out
of the discussion altogether. It is two Pros and a

Jonas knocks with you here. Coming up in we'll call
it a little over twenty minutes from now, we are
going to have another edition of would you Rather? Some
questions from around the world of sports and beyond, and
we've got to make some tough decisions here on the air,
(19:17):
So that will be yours. It's a Tuesday tradition here
on fs are. Congratulations to the Auburn Tigers. They have
got themselves a brand new head coach. Hugh Freeze. Hugh Freeze,
he turned around Liberty. He had some success at Old Miss. Yeah,
maybe some stuff going on. Whatever, guy makes a couple
(19:38):
of phone calls to an escort service. I'm not here
to judge anybody, is how I hate when that happens.
That is that is the worst, you know, switch around
to six and a nine down by the way time,
Why isn't always those numbers that get switched around? You know,
(20:01):
it's weird. But I forgot you know, I can't. But well,
so he'll Freeze is with Auburn now reportedly their Plan
B because Lane Kiffin was Plan A, and then Lane
Kiffin decided to stay at Ole Miss. That was some
of the reporting that was done on that. So now
he Freeze takes the job. He's going to get about
(20:22):
six and a half million dollars a year. It's a
six year deal with the Auburn Tigers. And he did
have some success. He beat Nick Sabe, but a couple
of times back in with Ole Miss. And so now
Auburn lands themselves, uh, a pretty good hire there as
they try and turn around the program that's been struggling
to stay consistent since they won that national championship. So
(20:43):
good for Auburn there. Fans are rejoicing. Well, I think
there's there's some mixed opinions when it was initially thought
that Auburn was gonna go after Lane Kiffin and Lane
Kiffin decided to decline and stay in Ole Miss there
was a bit of panic. I think amongst probably some
of that is Asia makers, maybe even the fan base
that Auburn to a degree, and we've seen that in
(21:03):
recent years, you know, if you'll recall when LSU who
first inquired about Lincoln Riley and that fell through, there's
a bit of panic, and then they pivoted quickly to
Brian Kelly to bring him in UM and so that
that happens from time to time, and I think Auburn
maybe felt like if they couldn't get a deal done
with Hugh Freeze, who was who was coming in after that,
(21:25):
and they really, I don't know, had a candidate that
made a lot of sense. I mean, you go back
and look at the high of Brian Harson, from Boise State.
It's just and even though I do I do think
Brian Harson's a good coach. It didn't work out in Auburn,
but I'm not cutainly made sense or fit. You know,
you've got to be the right fit in college football,
especially down south with some of those recruiting circles. But
(21:47):
this makes sense. Hugh Freeze has. He's a good football coach.
Bottom line, you know that he's got some baggage. He's
had some past transgressions and and and to be quite transparent,
some of the stuff that he was doing that was
illegal then now it's above board than n I l
so like that works now more so some of the
stuff noticed, I said, some of the stuff, not all
(22:08):
of the stuff. That coach you think you'll bring Cadillac back.
I think that's what they said. I saw that that
he was planning on retaining Cadillac Williams. That probably would
have been where they would have gone. And Hugh Freeze said, no, right,
they would have tried to maybe roll back with Cadillac Williams.
I don't think so. You don't think so. I think
(22:28):
he would have gotten a shot to be strongly considered
for it. UM, and I think there's a lot of
probably former players or people around the program who wanted
Cadillac to get a shot. UM. The reality is this,
Hugh Freeze beat Nick Saban twice during his time at
Old Miss, and that's what this hires about. This hires
about a guy who's a good offensive mind and coach.
I mean, you just go asked Leek willis helping him
(22:49):
get to the next level in the NFL. UM, but
a guy who can beat the guy you're going to
have to beat in the SEC West, Right, Like we
look at l s who was playing in the SEC
championship game and and Kelly after that victory at the
end of the game him almost getting emotional, and I
think it's because he realized, like, not many people have
the chance to go toe to toe with Nick Saban
and come out victorious. Oh, Hugh Freeze has done that.
(23:12):
He did that at Old Miss, And I think Auburn
feels like they probably have better resources to be able
to take on Nick Saban and go win that Iron Bowl.
So that that to me is one of the biggest
things too, is they want to try to compete and
beat the best, and they brought in a guy who's
already done it a couple of times. I mean, that's
what recruiting is, whether you're recruiting a coach or whether
you're recruiting players. Everybody's recruiting to to beat Ohio State.
(23:36):
I mean, you look at what Michigan has done historically.
It might be your recruiting to beat Michigan and Ohio State.
Now that's probably what he's gonna have to turn into.
But you look at Penn State, they're recruiting to beat
Ohio State, and and you look at the guys like
it's like, I've been going through recruiting, so this is
pretty interesting, right. I've gone through recruiting as a mentor.
(23:59):
I've never going through recruiting as a dad, and now
I'm going through it as a dad. And it's it's
very it's very obvious. There's a certain you know, it's like, well,
why does the eye test matter? You know? We always say, well,
you can't measure a guy's heart, you know, but you
can measure their size. And I'm going to look at
(24:21):
the guy with the size, and I'm gonna hope he
has the same heart and the same fight that the
smaller guy has, because I am not recruiting a smaller
guy that's going to get mossed by by guys that
Ohio State has. I'm not going to get a defensive
lineman that's going to get used like a dodgeball and
thrown into other defenders by the offensive line of Ohio
(24:44):
State or you know, or Michigan. I'm not. I'm not
recruiting guys that's even if he has heart, Even if
he has heart, if he's an undersized linebacker, undersized player,
undersized d lineman, it is an anomaly to see them
go into a game for one of those teams, because
(25:05):
you you have to first. Like I'm telling you, I'll
be saying this, and I don't know if people really
be comprehending it when I say it. And I'm a
big man, I'm a big person. And I was with
q Qus not he's not super big, but he's tall,
he's chuck. He's jacked up to right man. And you
saw you see these dudes walk onto this football field
(25:28):
and they're they're aliens. They are not They do not
look like regular people. And I say that not to
over exaggerated. I say it for impact and effect. It's
like this person looks like something and and let's listen.
I know. I mean, I'm black, so I could get
(25:48):
away with this. Oh my god, I could get away
with this. It almost looked like they're coming up out
of the woods. Man. They're like, hey, look here, man,
like they're coming up out of the woods. There ain't
no way these kids came from somebody that lives in
a home, in a civilized culture behind that oak tree yonder.
(26:09):
All right, you know it's funny you you feel small.
I'm around these college kids, and I feel like the
quarterbacks are gotten smaller like that. Like you look at
a lot of these the kids, like, for example, look
look at both quarterbacks in the Big Ten championship game.
Neither he that big. I kind of look at and
I look at light or now I'm like, man, I
feel like they're getting like shorter, maybe a little more athletic.
That I was, like, they don't weigh as much. It's all.
(26:30):
It was the Michigan quarterback, that's all maybe maybe six
two six three at most. Let's pull up their offensive
lineup line may be big, but I feel like that's
always you know what's crazy. What's crazy? They're bigger, they're bigger.
But I mean they're big. They were big when I
was playing. Maybe they just look bigger because I'm not
(26:51):
playing anymore. Hey, And I'll tell you the running back
for Michigan is a little too, but the other one
as big as hall for J. J. McCarthy. Yeah, that's
all all I know is these dudes are big as hell.
So when you're recruiting dudes to to go up against
(27:12):
these guys, when you're like, how do you win in
the big ten and the trenches? It starts in the trenches.
And if you can't handle that, and how and and
here's what's crazy about Alabama. Alabama has has talent in spades,
but they have it in the trenches. You look at
(27:34):
Washington's defensive front is one of the most elite defensive
fronts in in the league. They're they're Alabama kids. Like
these Alabama kids are are elite in terms of size
and strength and ability. And if you don't pass that
eye test, they're not taking you. I don't care how
good the kid is, he had better be Jesus shuttles
(27:58):
Worth on the field. If he isn't six four six
five two eight five hundred pounds. If you ain't that
we ain't getting you because I can't win against Alabama.
I can't win against Ohio State or Michigan if we
go any's smaller. Let's start right there. And that's how
recruiting is working, right by the way. I really hope
(28:20):
Matt Rules given an opportunity in Nebraska. I hope they
show some patients and and not don't pull what they
were doing with Scott Frost and everybody since bo Polini.
I mean, just give the guy an opportunity. But it
feels like you know they're gonna be a couple of
years away, and they are. But here's the unfortunate part
about new higher head coaches, because they're getting paid a lot,
(28:42):
and that's really where the expectation comes, you know, or
like you know, I like, for example, jimbo Fisher, think
about how much he's getting paid and they had a
lot of money tied up in an I L and
then you have that result. Not granted, they did just
go in finally got some guys back healthy this past
week and knock off l s U. If LSU would
any shot of going to the playoff by beating Georgia,
they don't now, not as not as a three loss team. Um.
(29:06):
But the point is, when you're making that sort of money,
it tends to come along with a lot of criticism.
Like if Tony Romo calls games for CBS, if he
was making a million bucks a year to do that,
I don't think people would be as critical of his
calls now. But when you're making the type of money
that he is, and you don't know a player's name,
(29:26):
you know, you just call them by their number, or
you don't you know you've you've gotten something's factually or
statistically wrong, it opens people up to be more critical,
you know, critical because of what you're being compensated for it.
So that comes along with the territory for college football coaches,
and people think that because hey, you know, go look
at USC. Usc hires Lincoln Riley. They paid him almost
(29:46):
a hundred million to do that. They buy him a big,
old fancy house. They bring out a bunch of recruits
that they're getting some n IML money too, and they
can fix it in a year's time. But you look
at other examples of that. Miami was a huge, huge
player in n i L deals. They bring in Mario
Cristo Ball, the Native son he comes back and that
can work out. They're even BO eligible. You know, Michigan
(30:09):
stayed after one year is the first year of melt
Tucker great Cinderella season, and followed it up not so
much not be eligible. So you start looking at kind
of how this is all played out in college football.
You gotta have patience, and I think it's hard because
you know, people want to return on their investment and
they feel like if they're donating to that program, if
(30:29):
they're a part of n I L if they're helping
to recruit that coach, and they want to see a
media results because they see it's at some other places.
The question I have is like is it sustaining? You know,
is once Kayleb Williams leaves, is that going to be
sustaining at USC? Because because that's the one thing that
I watched with USC and I go, yeah, he's he's
the Heisman Trophy winner. He's playing as the best quarterback
(30:50):
in the college football right now. But if you take
him out of the equation, how really good is that team?
And that's the problem, because he's gonna identify the next
klet Williams and whether he's in college or somewhere else.
As long as they can pay for them, they're going
to get him. Yeah. Well, one, I'll say this, I
don't think you're gonna find the next Kale Williams. He's
(31:11):
a very very unique talent, right you can? You can? Yeah,
I mean with with the way he moves and scrambles
and and all that. Like, it's a very unique skill
set and talent. And and I think it's hard to
always identify who that kid is and how they're gonna
be able to help you have a shot at winning
a national championship or be able to win high They'll be,
(31:33):
They'll be. They'll be changing conferences to which will make
it even more difficult when you're playing half your games
and inclement weather and colder weather and more different conditions
than Southern California. So there's a there's a lot of
things that will play a factor into that. But by
the way, I don't even know. I'll just go ahead
and call this shot two years out. I don't even
know how long Link and Riley's at USC. Imagine imagine
(31:56):
two years from now, you were a team that is
drafting number one overall. You could do what the Arizona
Cardinals did, and I don't know if you feel like
it's worked. Most probably don't feel like it has, even
though up to this year they've they've gotten better. You
could go higher, Lincoln Riley away and bringing kilab Boys
in the number one overall pick and you maintain that
(32:16):
same level offense, everything else grows two years shot. I'm
just saying I could see that scenario playing out. It
would be something that I would entertain if I had
the number one overall pick in don't lose what what's
gotten you there? But it's Two Pros and a Cup

(34:06):
your random topics? Sports or otherwise? What do we got? All? Right, fellas,
I'm gonna start off with this, would you rather have
an embarrassingly bad statue, a tributed to you, or no
memorial at all? None at all? I mean, what what's
embarrassing about it? We'll say the Ronaldo statue, or yeah,
(34:30):
is that embarrassing? Guy looks like he's got a paid
can in his past. I haven't seen that one. That
was like just a little bit of embellishment. I mean literally,
the way they made that thing, it looks like he's
running around to the soccer field, the soccer ball. I
was basing it off of the unveiling the Sean Taylor statue. Yeah,
(34:54):
that's I would rather not have anything at all than
to have you say you were unveiling a statue and
it was a wired which, by the way, none of
the stuff on him is Sean stuff. No rate a
movie though, by the way, mannequin, good call. Interesting movie call.
(35:15):
That's pretty cool movie. I just wouldn't want it like
you guy wouldn't want it. Like it's not his shoes,
it's not his socks, it's not his pants, it's not
his jersey, it's not his gloves, it's not his helmet.
It's still be pretty cool to have, you know, in statue. Yeah,
it's not a statue. If you had a statue, you
wouldn't have to worry about if the gear that he
(35:37):
was wearing was his I get that, But that's what
I'm saying is I don't know that one really falls
in the category of it though. I Mean, they said
it was a statue. Well, but that's that is that
gonna live on forever. That it's a statue, Well they
had better change that very quickly, that that it's a mannequin.
We're talking about like an actual physical structure statue. It's
like outside sitting in front of the stadium. Okay, if
(35:59):
you're putting it in those terms, then yeah, I'd rather
have the statue. Yeah, Brady, could you describe the Ronaldo
statue again for us? Like? What? What was? What? Really?
I understand that there's two. There's like one where they
feel like his face was distorted, which I don't know
many people who are looking at statues looking at the
face that much. But there's another one that I think
he had the first right of refusal on and that one, seriously,
(36:23):
it looks like he's got a bundle of bananas in
his and his pants. Yeah, like not just one like
when you go to the grocery store and you see
that like bundle of like nine bananas. That's what it
looks like. Someone basically shoved in some in some models
pants and then the guys sculpted out of that. Yeah,
(36:44):
I told you. I saw him at a club in
l l A one time. When I met him, he
had just had surge on his knee. He had like crutches,
little brace and all that, and I just was like,
you want to take a night off? Huh, well, listen,
I don't want to think just one good to meet you.
But it didn't like taking tonight off, like I just
really needed to be here. He's probably alone to no
attention whatsoever. He was. He was going off the side
(37:07):
on the show. He probably didn't go home alone though, No,
I'm sure he had. He had a nurse or someone
helping that. Yeah, yeah, maybe that's what that was. In
the statues they brought us crutches just kind of put
those we're talking about the nurse bulge. Fox Sports Radio
