the big conversation around the world of sports this morning
is Tom Brady gets it done again, a comeback when
on Monday Night football they looked absolutely terrible did the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers For about three plus quarters. New Orleans
always seems to play them well ever since Brady has
been there. They finally got over the hump earlier this

(01:48):
season with a win, but it was Tampa Bay taking
care of business last night and getting it done. A
game winning touchdown throw from Tom Brady to Rochard White
and they get it done in Tampa Bay is now
in the dry fiber seed in the very competitive, really
grade A level NFC South. That's a real threat to
win a Super Bowl here in the National Football League.

(02:10):
And that was a first for Tom Brady last night,
not many first. I believe he was what, oh in
thirty seven down thirteen points during the course of the
regular season of his career being able to come back
and win. So that was the first win outside of
the playoffs the Super Bowl against the Atlanta Falcons. One
of the more controversial decisions, at least from that game
a lot of people are discussing or talking about, is

(02:33):
late into the fourth quarter, the Saints were faced with
a fourth and one on their own forty four and
they decided to put Dennison decided to punt the ball away,
which you know remember at that point in time in
the game, the score was if I'm not mistaken, sixteen
to three, So I don't know that I'm viewing based

(02:56):
on how that game went. That is the worst decision
as a head coach. But a lot of people are
saying that with five minutes, when thirty seconds left in
the fourth, the Saints should have went for that because
if they get it, the game's most likely over give
the amount of time they would be able to take
off the clock, forcing Bucks really not have much of
an opportunity. How did you see that player? Well, I

(03:17):
just and it was like the other thing as well too,
Like in Tampa Bay's case to where they elected to
punt the ball and everyone said, well, I mean you're down,
you know, two scores. WHI is Todd Bowles electing to punt?
Because there was that back and forth to where Brady
was on the field, clearly he didn't want to punt,
and then Todd Bowles made the decision to punt, and
then afterwards they pointed out, well, you know it's uh
and Tom Brady said, yeah, it was a great call

(03:38):
by coach. You know, we punted the ball away. We
gotta stop. We got the ball back. It's like, you know,
you can look back hindsight in that case, Like if
I'm Dennis Allen and I'm seeing what my defense is
done to Tom Brady all game long, I just assume,
as a defensive minded head coach, that's just going to continue.
Like Tampa Bay couldn't. They hadn't nothing like yeah, So

(04:02):
so like the idea that all of a sudden, well
he had an opportunity to ice the game there, well,
they were ice in the game for like three and
a half quarters. Like the game of the game was
for all intents and purposes. Was like I was. I
was ready to come on the air and say, I
guess Tampa Bay might not win the division. I don't know,
and then all of a sudden, Tom Brady does what
he does. But like you you like in real time,

(04:24):
Dennis Allen deciding to pump the ball away, I totally
get it, Todd Bowles deciding to pump the ball away,
even though Troy Aikman and Joe Buck were kind of wondering,
you know, is this yes, Like there was there was
a fourth and long and Tampa Bay was struggling, and
and they couldn't six or seven minutes left exactly, and

(04:47):
also you had three plays to get something done. If
you didn't get anything done on the three plays prior,
what makes you think in that situation going forward on
fourth down? The fact that he was even a question
was weird to It just feels like in a lot
of these big prime time games, and it's or maybe
it's just especially this year, there's a lot of people

(05:07):
wanting to talk about clock management and decisions to go
for it. And I don't know if it's Brandon Staley
who threw everybody off last year with his going for
it all the time, and some of the time this
year as well too. But it just feels like when
we have these discussions, I totally get why Dennis Allen
did what he did, and I'm a hundred percent on board.
What Todd Bowles did you pump the ball away? You
played safe. We don't have to get reckless all the

(05:29):
time in the NFL like we've seen some other coaches do. Look,
I think there's an argument for analytics when it comes
to a certain point in time, but fourth and ten
is it is not a scenario that you know, you
really feel confident being able to convert, Like I'm sorry,
and especially at that point if you're talking about the
drive where there's about seven minutes left the fourth quarter
Tampa was on, I mean, you're you're if you don't

(05:52):
get that fourth and ten, you're basically ending the games. Yeah,
that's it. You've already had the Saints, who are able
to at a minimum a field goal there if not
going to get points. So I just I'm not sure
where with a lot of broadcast booths they've all of
a sudden kind of gone to this. Every every single
series in the fourth quarter is one where you feel
like it's a dire circumstance, uh Todd Bowls, and the

(06:15):
Bucks played that out perfectly. Done the stretch, they maintain
their time outs, they the defense did what they needed
to do getting off the field and offensively when they
needed to dry done to score they did. And in fact,
on that very final drive for the Tampa Bay Bucks,
they did it twice. You know, it was a nice
It was an unbelievable touchdown past to God. When they
got called back for holding, which you know that one was.
To me, I think a call you have to make

(06:36):
on Donovan Smith. He he did hook the defender, even
though he had help from the inside. That came rather quickly.
I could see games where that they probably get away
with that, but I think in that instance you had
to call it. It was holding, regardless of how kind
of quick it it all ensued. But again, vintage Tom
Brady finding away at the end of the game. To
have to have fourth quarter comeback, It's just it's incredible.

(06:58):
And now the Bucks is six and six, are are
you know, looking at trying to find a way to
get some momentum going into the playoffs. As the likely
NFC South Division winner said, are they a legitimate candidate
to make a run at the Super Bowl. They are
because of Tom Brady. There's no other reason outside of that.

(07:22):
Like I think, if you look at how they've played
this year, they are a team that you much like
basically everyone else in the NFC. Think about the entire
NFC playoff picture. There's Philly, there's the Dallas Cowboys, and
that's it. But it's it's hard Minnesota. I guess you
could throw in that conversation, but I feel like most people,

(07:45):
for whatever reason, and maybe I'm including this, want to
put a ceiling on Kirk Cousins as far as where
they can go. But I'll go ahead and throw Minnesota
in there. San Francisco as a team you would have
thrown in there, I don't think as it currently stands,
Brock Purty is gonna be the guy to lead to it.
And Adam Schefter sent out a tweet earlier this morning
stating that it looks like Baker Mayfield is going to

(08:07):
get claimed. They're not the San Francisco forty Niners are
not anticipating Baker Mayfield dropping to them. As far as
claims go. He's got one point three billion left on
his contract this year, so if that was gonna be
their their savior. If he's gonna be their savior, it's
probably not gonna be the case. Now, who do you
think claims him? I got a theory. I'll bet it's
the Rams, just the need just to screw up but

(08:30):
also to screw over Kyle and like you know, like listen,
if if that's all they've got this year, after Sean
McVeigh just got his head ripped off by that guy
running on the field last week, and the Rams are
are a disaster, I mean, if that's all you got
this year, as far as pettiness goes, I listen, I
support it. You want to be petty, you want to
stop Baker Mayfield from potentially going to try and make

(08:52):
a playoff run. That does seem like that that that
is a possibility. Let me throw another team to Okay,
Denver Broncos. And I know people think, wait, why why
would you do that? Well, one, I think he's a
better back of than what they have. And I think
if you're the Denver Broncos and you can bring in
a guy who gives you more stability at that position. Look,

(09:14):
if Russell Wilson wants to at some point sit down,
just kind of watch whatever. However, however things go out
the rest of the season, at least you've got a
guy in Baker Mayfield coming in and help you maybe
win some football games. Um. So we do have an
update here on what took place last night, because we
did have a prop at Monster, so a lot of
people out there were really focused on the game itself.
I mean that was a small majority, but there is

(09:36):
a a a really really large audience who was focused
on the prop at Monster results. So with that being said,
it's sound to take a look back at how we
did on a Monday. Look. I feel like there's controversy
every week with lead to laugh trying to keep score
this stuff. But right now, let's find out the results
from last night's prop at Monster. Yeah, defeat your degenerate

(09:57):
gambling soul, the proper bet Monster. All right to lead
the lap? Are we sure on the math here before
we get started? We're sure here? Absolutely positive? Okay, Like Brady,
how confident are you and Lee's math skills? Here? An

(10:20):
hour three of the program to be able to give
us the actual true totals of what took place in
the prop bet Monster last night. Um, not very comm
very good. Alright, least what do we look at all? Right?
I was very excited to check the first prop bet
off the off the list, just to find out that, uh,
or to remember that we had all picked the same thing.
Here first graphic of the game showing Tom Brady's age.

(10:42):
They did not wait long at all. Right after kickoff
they showed age. But we all correctly predicted first quarter.
I mean, look, you know, I mean it's uh, this
is this. I mean some of these broadcast teams act
like Tom Brady was like Abe Lincoln's babysitter, like he's
forty five. But like, come on, man, like I I like,
at some point, you know, can we please sort of

(11:05):
move on to the game. Like he's playing. He's playing
at a high level. It's not like he's just mailing
at it at forty five years old and just trying
to get to the end of the season. He's playing
at a high level. We know his age. It's been
a talking point. Now tell us why Tom Brady is
going to figure out a way to win this game.
But we all hit that on that lead. We all
hit that one first. I couldn't disagree more. I think

(11:26):
it's every single week he rolls out there. It's incredible.
It really is incredible. Okay, but he's gonna be forty
five until he's forty six. I think it's incredible that
he's out there doing what he's doing and playing us
such a high level. So sorry, man, if we disagree
and he turns forty six in August. Correct, Yeah, I
think it's forty six in August, and when I'm mistaken,
I want to say it's August three. I believe August three.

(11:50):
This is something that no one cares about. I'm saying, like,
I want to let me see if my recalling this
is is correct. August How about hat Brady quin Hush
nine seven? All right? What else we got lee Fella's
second Saints player to attempt to pass? Who was between
Jamis Winston, Taysom Hill and the other? Both you, Jonas

(12:13):
and Brady picked Taysom Hill correctly? Did he attempt to
pass t Hill? Okay? Who's you Jonas and Brady? Who's
you both? Brady? You and Jonas? You? And who did
LaVar have? LaVar had none? By the way, Leah, I'm
not trying to steer you down a path of deceit
and dishonesty. But LaVar is not here, So if you

(12:36):
wanted to kind of, you know, twist the knife there
just like this is how I went when that's not true.
I would never do that to you, would never ever
do that to you. Ever, there might be a little
bit of shenanigans later in the and the recap here.
Third one up, which which happens first to Tom Brady
rushing touchdown, an on field fight between both teams, or

(12:58):
Drew Breese actually gets by lightning. No Tom Brady touchdown,
rushing touchdown, no on field fight. But Drew Brees might
have actually been struck by lightning. Okay, well, who knows
what Drew? We don't know yet. Yeah, we're not quite
if Drew Brees was struck by lightning? Was he at
the game? I don't come on, you think Drew Brees

(13:21):
is gonna show up the Well no, I guess My
point is this is it would be pretty impossible for
him met struck by lightning and the actual game not stops. Yeah,
I mean, but he was filming that commercial. Where is
it in like Venezuela or some crap like that. It
was in Venezuela, But he shouldn't be worried about the
lightning in Venezuela. So those giant bird eating spiders he's
gonna worry about. Things are monstrous. Well, those are the

(13:43):
ones that can like hop like at a time. Oh yeah,
they're huge. Yeah, they like they're basically they can fly almost.
If a bird eating spider walks up to your doorstep,
just hand him your keys, your wallet and whatever he wants,
the code to your safe, anything you got in the house,
because it's gonna take whatever it's want. The things are massive.
They're like coyotes with extra legs. Huge alright, ratt in

(14:07):
your kitchen, bird in your bed, rat in the kitchen,
in the kitchen. I feel I feel like I was
with you guys there earlier. These birds they eat they
eat birds like giant birds in the wild, all right,
not like little sparrows, not like little hummingbirds. Giant birds

(14:29):
in the wild that are hanging out, trying to trying
to take care of their family, and a spider walks
up and says, hey, can I borrow that? And they
turn around and it snatches their head and dismembers them
and eats them alive. These things are huge, telling like
their barbecues. They like big green eggscept they're black. What else, Fellas,

(14:50):
who has most catches in the game? It was between
Mike Evans, Cristal Love, Chris Godwin, and Alvin Kamara. Jonas,
you picked Mike Evans, but the pros picked correctly. Chris
god would win with eight catches. Damn. What's what is it? Merror?
Like Tom Brady and Mike Evans like have miscommunication every
single game. It seems like there's always something going on.

(15:13):
But one of those seasons for alright, lastly, does Dennis
Allen have a pen and advisor? Brady? Jonas, you guys
were correct, he did, Yeah, right side red pen. That's right, Yeah,
that's right, LaVar, LaVar missed that one. No visor at all, LaVar.
How we're looking alright this week? Brady takes the win

(15:35):
four and one. Jonas, you come in second three and two.
LaVar finishes last two and three. Alright, that closes the
gap just a little bit. But no, Brady's actually running
away with it. He's got more than a week's worth
of points on both you and LaVar, Like six Which
one did I miss on? That? Uh? The one that
we all met that everyone missed. Which happens first an

(15:57):
on field fight at Tom Brady rushing touchdown or Drew
Brees get instruct by lightning. Nobody three happens. So why
do we get why do we get penalized? Well, you
don't get penalized, you just go forward. You got him,
Get him, Brady. I mean you get the point I'm
making that I get I get the point you're making.
There should have been a nune of the above. You
didn't put it a nut of the above. You only
had three options. That's kind of your fault. I will

(16:20):
take the lass on that one. I want to be
on the call for the meeting with the put these
together because it's either Lee or it's Jonas also missed
out some of the key ingredients. By the way, for
those of you that aren't familiar with this, this is
the tradition that keeps on giving Brady Quinn disputing results

(16:42):
from prop at monsters or over unders and games that
we do on the air. This has been going on
for like five years between him and Lee on the
air when we were doing Sunday Nights together. I'm sorry,
I mean Lee would even admit that man by his accounting,

(17:05):
he definitely does. He definitely does. Well, Brady, you're run
away with this man. I mean I feel good about
you should be. Yeah, this is big. I mean it's
important to you. Man. Charity Lass Sauce, Well, that's like
thirty bucks. That just caught you thirty bucks Charity. Well,

(17:28):
let me give you my bank account routing number here.
Hold on a second, that's the charity. You can go
ahead and send that to here. Maybe maybe my son
will finally get a Christmas gift. All right, it is

we are brought to you by NITZA. Any first responder

breaking you can take a mile for a train and
completely stops. So when you come to a rail crossing
stop because trains can't now pretty q when you were
in rarefying air because you're one of the few people
on planet Earth. Who knows what it's like to be

(19:23):
up for a Heisman? Now you know what it's Yeah
you went out? Now did you get invited both times? Uh?
So the first time they only did three and the
excuses which they're taking four this year. And I always
find it funny when they take four the excuses that
are like, oh, it comes down to points and voting.
It really had to do more with UM for whatever

(19:44):
reason that they had some financial issues and so it
obviously costs a lot to have players out because it's
not just the players, it's their families, it's UM, you know,
people within that university. It's a big expense, and so
they kind of blame it on that. But I went
my second time that was up for it. And so
what do we know For those of you that are

(20:05):
just tuning in and unfamiliar with this, it's Caleb Williams, Stetson, Bennett,
Max Duggan and c J Stroud or your finalists, those
of the guys up. That's all right. I didn't really
see that necessarily. God, he's he's the guy they named.
I mean, Jalen Carter should be from his team if
he wants to be up for Yeah, but they didn't
name a cologne after Jalen Carter. They did after Stetson Bennett.

(20:28):
All right, so this is where we're at. Um. So
the odds on favorite is Caleb Williams. He's at twenty
two to one in some places, so he's he's perceived
to be the slam dunk and no shout without a
shadow of doubt, Caleb Williams is going to be your
Heisman Trophy winner. And I don't know is he gonna
paint his nails like f all these guys. It's like,

(20:49):
how can you get all their names on his fingernails?
If he's going to paint that for the for the ceremony,
how's that? I don't know, Manum painting the fingernails thing
isn't for me. So now when you get out there,
do a wine and dyne? You are? They like, do
you stay in like the best hotels? What? Like? What
is the whole soul? You want me to go back
to that trip back sixteen years ago? Okay, let's just

(21:10):
trying to recall. I mean, if you could, that'd be great.
Honestly I couldn't. I can't remember what hotel they put
you up in. But no, it's a nice hotel. Um,
you're actually pretty busy. I mean you're kind of being
paraded around. You're doing some stuff for TV to prepare
for that. You have like a nice little reception and
a lot of things that are happening before the actual
ceremony itself. Meeting a bunch of different Heisman troup your

(21:30):
winners from the past. Usually they're pretty boozed up. I
think wider it's actually going out for this one, so
give it that. Caleb is probably gonna win it. I'm
sure he'll be pretty hammered. Um, but what have they
got an open bar? They're like pretty much. I remember
my year. I can't remember who it was, but there
was someone who was hammered and I go, yeah, he
does this every year. I was like, yeah, that makes sense.

(21:54):
Yeah it was probably Johnny Manzel. You know, well no,
I mean he was understand I understand. Um, so you
could have picked another one that he's gonna take a
shot at. Yeah, but it felt like that was you
know kind of thing that, yeah, that's the one, Yeah
goes spurry or come one. How coach coach was the
old ball coach, wasn't there that? Yeah, he's probably he's

(22:15):
golfing somewhere. He's probably at august I think he's got
a membership with Augusta National, so he's probably out pretty
sure he does. Yeah. Um, so these guys are out
in New York. They're gonna get invited there. Now. I'll
say this as somebody on the outside who has watched
this ceremony many times, one of the worst television programs
they put on on on air. It is awful. It's brutal,

(22:36):
trust me. And I remember, like the most memorable thing
that night was probably my parents speaking on camera because
my dad, who is absolutely hilarious, all of a sudden,
like when a camera gets around, he does not want
any part of it, Like he does not want to
be filmed, tape, nothing, And so I was like, listening
to the responded answers, I'm thinking, this is this is

(22:56):
not the Chopper that I know. You know, he's like
completely put on a like like trying to put on
what he feels like he needs to say and not
probably what he really wants to say. So uh that
was that was highly entertaining. I remember sitting there listening
to him and my mom speak and they seemed like
very uh you know, they're obviously appreciative of the uh,
you know, appreciative and proud, but at the same time, like,

(23:18):
I just did not want to be on camera. When
they interviewed your dad. Did they call him Chopper, Tyrone,
or Mr Quinn? I believe they called him maybe Tie
and I don't. I don't know that they even called
him Mr. Quinn, but I think they called him Tie.
I don't think anyone called him tyrone um, and I'm
positive no one called him Schopper. That's what he would
have preferred. To those of you that are confused, Your

(23:40):
dad's name is Tyrone. Sorry, my my dad's real name
is Tyrone. However, Um he does. He calls everyone chopper. Um.
It's a nickname that like he He also like everyone
calls him shopper. He calls everyone else chopper. I believe
it stems from Vietnam. But regardless, it's it's actually great
tactic because, if you think about it, whenever he says

(24:01):
like hey, Chopper, everyone turns around. It looks because you
don't know if he's talking to you or someone else.
He never has to learn anyone's name. Yeah, it's Um.
And so what do you think the exact order is
going to finish is a Caleb is it dug In?
And then it should be it should be Caleb dug In, Uh,

(24:23):
Stroud stetson Bennett Um, which again it's kind of surprising
that that Ben it's a part of it, only because
you know that's I mean, statistically speaking, there's not much
of an argument. And even like that with his team,
they've been so good another parts. It's kind of odd,
but that'll probably be how it finishes. I could see
a case from maybe Stroud finishes second um, even though
again he's a player that I think when you look

(24:45):
at Ohio State and there, you know Bounty of Rich
is a wide receiver. I think Dougan has. He's got
some talent around him too. But like the way he
willed that team last week, uh in the Big Folf
Championship game, just to get into overtime, you know, to
me was worthy of of being right up there next
to kalub By the way Duggan looked like he was
ready to puke, and when he told his teammates like, hey,
give me a second, right, can you just give me

(25:08):
a break? Like, give me a second. I know we're
all happy here we just went into the end zone
or we're back in this game, but just give me
a second. He wanted no part of being around anybody
at that point in time. Guy needed to catch his breath.
His breath. But also he took a couple of shots,
and I think it was it was also like, all right,
hopefully you know he's he can stay in this game
to keep playing the ways as physical some of those

(25:28):
runs were, especially at the end. Uh it's two pros
and a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
So we are going to have LaVar Arrington joining us
from Las Vegas. I mean, just ready to go fired up.
That will be happening and a little bit, uh well
probably ten minutes from now. By the way, fellows's time
to stop treating your groins like johnk introducing the Gillette
Intimate Pupic caretterm er, a gentle and easy shade from

(25:49):
America's number one trusted men's grooming brand. Show your pubic
regions some respect. With Gillette Intimate, the best in man
can get all right, So, Lamar Jackson has banged up.
He's got this knee issue. John hard By, his head coach,
updated the media yesterday with what was happening with his quarterback.
Here's how it went. He's been through the m R
I S and uh, I would say it's kind of

(26:10):
week the week. You know it's going to be a
weekly thing. So um, as a week goes on, we'll
see for this week, it's probably less likely for this week,
but it's not impossible. Um. And then after that it
will become more and more likely. Huh, Well that solves
it all right, So apparently we know, uh, well what's

(26:31):
the injury? I mean, if you if you follow a
lot of the Twitter docs who are looking at the
tape and then diagnosing, which you know they're accurate more
often than not. Um that I had heard her read
somewhere maybe a sprain PCL. Um. I dealt with a
torn run that makes it really difficult to feel like
you can run and cut over the well, it's a

(26:51):
bit painful too, um and so it might take a
few weeks for that to calm down. A torn PCL
ligament you don't even go reattach. You just deal with it.
You just kind of rehabit and move on. So I'm
sure you know a sprained one, they're not gonna do
anything too. If that is the injury either way. I mean,
this is the concern a few of the Baltimore Ravens

(27:12):
in regards to committing to Lamar Jackson long term is
you know, he has not played well from the pocket
this year, and I think that that's been one part
of his game that everyone's curious to see if he
can continue to develop and if he can't, you know,
do you really want to pay him two or fifty
billion dollars if he gets some injuries that keep him
or or keep him from being the player he's capable

(27:33):
of like right now. So look, Tyler Huntley is gonna
fill in for him. He did really well last year.
I thought um in the spot duty that he had
an opportunity to found a way of winning this past week,
even though it was ugly um. And so I think
they Ravens still I still have a shot. They really do.
And I think Lamar will be back here in a
few weeks. Who do you think is the favorite right
now according to Draft Kings to win the Division Bengals?

(27:57):
It's the Ravens. Really, Yes, the Ravens are a minus one.
They're a slight favorite. The Bengals are actually plus money
right now plus totally agree. Now, the one thing that
I'm and I'm trying to and looking at reasons why
the odds would be where they are, knowing that Lamar
Jackson's banged up, but it feels like John Harves saying, well,

(28:18):
you know, it's you know, less likely this week. It's
it's probably gonna be at least a couple of weeks.
So if you look at it right now, Baltimore obviously
is you know, got the the tiebreaker in the division.
They've got the better divisional record. They're sitting at two
and oh. Cincinnati is just one and three in the
a f C North. But if you look at down
the stretch, there's a lot of ground that could be
made up or lost when it comes to Baltimore. They're

(28:39):
at Pittsburgh, they're at Cleveland for their five final games
are against the division. Like, it feels like this could
be problematic. So if you're looking at Cincinnati A plus
money right now, I don't know, man, the way Cincinnati
is playing like it felt like it feels like they've
got a rhythm going. You assume Joe Mixon is going
to be back, Jamaar Chase is back, a guy who
came off a hip injury and he's leaping over people.

(29:03):
It's Cincinnati feels like the team to look out for
in that division. And and I see Baltimore, you know,
hopefully holding onto a wild card spot, but I would
take Cincinnati. Yeah, I'll put it this way. I mean,
if you just look at other teams that they can face,
we've seen now the Bengals own the Kansas City Chiefs.
I would take the Chiefs of the Baltimore Ravens every

(29:24):
day of the week and two times on Sunday. So
I just kind of look at that and said, if
you're looking comparatively at how those two teams match up
with one of the best in the a f C
and the Chiefs, and you're picking the Bengals definitively and
the Ravens you're not like it. That's it's pretty clear
to me. Because I still think, no matter what the
records look like right now, you know that even though

(29:46):
the Bills and Chiefs are tied at nine in three,
I still think that if you want to make it
to the Super Bowl, you have to go to the Chiefs.
The Chiefs are still the gatekeeper until someone knocks them
off and proofs that they aren't. And you can say
that the Bengals are that team because they did it
allow this year, but I still need to see it again.
The Chiefs has just been so successful for such a
long period of time. I still need to see the

(30:06):
Bengals do it again in the playoffs, especially considering that
the Chiefs may end up having the number one overall seed.
You know, I know the Bills have that tiebreaker over them, um,
but you're still going to get the chance of the
Chiefs kind of walking away at the end of the
season with maybe a better overall record because of the
a f C West not being as good as we
thought it was going to be to start the year.

(30:27):
And all you know from Patrick Mahomes and the NFL
is the starting quarterback is at least a f C
Championships at least like he's going to get there every year.
He's gone every year, which which is just absurd when
you think about and hopefully people can understand, like when
you know you're saying things go through the k see
Chiefs like, well, it kind of has it. It's it's
worked out that way. I mean, that's how good Andy

(30:48):
Reid's been. That's how good Patrick Mahomes has been. Um,
that's why I mean again, the fact that the Bengals
beat him and that hasn't persuaded the betting markets to
make the Bengals the favorite the f C North. And
combine that with the Lamar Jackson injury not knowing how
long he'll be out, that's surprising to me. I wonder
if part of it is the schedule down the stretch

(31:08):
for Cincinnati. So they've They've got Cleveland, which is you
know who the hell knows with with Deshaun Watson all
that coming up at home. But then they're at Tampa
Bay at New England, and then they have Buffalo and
the Ravens. But Buffalo and Baltimore are both at home,
So it could come down to that final game of
the season as to who wins the a f C North,
but at Tampa at New England and then you get

(31:31):
the Bills. Like maybe that's part of the logic behind it.
I still I'll take my chances the Bengals against that
schedule as opposed to Baltimore the backup quarterback against Theirs,
I'll take my chances. So I would, By the way,
what is the Baltimore schedule for that matter. Uh, the
Ravens vamp for me a little bit here, just so

(31:51):
they're sitting at eight and for Baltimore. Scheduled down the
stretch is there at Pittsburgh, at Cleveland, and then they've
got Atlanta Pittsburgh again than at Cincinnati, so it's winnable.
But again backup quarterback, Well, you've got a lot of
divisional games. Thought Pittsburgh's playing much better football. I don't know.
I mean, Pittsburgh's too far back now at this point

(32:12):
to be able to make a run there at five
and seven. But technically, I don't know. If you start
knocking off some of those divisional teams, you can get
up to a you know, above five hundred pretty quick
and maybe some things work out your way down the stretch.
That's one of the things that I think you have
to credit the NFL four is the way they've gone
about scheduling. And they've scheduled great you know conference matchups

(32:35):
um at the beginning of the season where you get
an idea of maybe how these teams stack up against
you know, conferences, something that you may say, oh it's
a it's a super Bowl preview, and then you get
like late in the season, the last you know, six
seven weeks, all these divisional games, and so the league
has always been set up for parody, but it's also
been set up to the point where I think you

(32:57):
can see how things you know are gonna you know,
so with the selves out the last few weeks, which
which keeps everyone engaged. Well, look like last year Pittsburgh
got into the playoffs, and it was like, how did
Pittsburgh get in? Because Indianapolis lost and all these things
had to happen, and all that stuff happened week eighteen,
so that they like and and they've they've done a
good job of scheduling a lot of these games in

(33:17):
the same window to where you're kind of going back
and forth and paying attention to what's happening here and
then your scoreboard watching. So yeah, it's for all the
criticism the NFL gets and who actually watches who actually
watches a scoreboard? I mean, you don't you don't really
think that players are out there like just sitting there
looking up at the scoreboard like during the course of

(33:37):
like their weeks seventeen eighteen, unless like I guess, unless
it's like definitive for like a number one overall seed
and to buy something like that maybe maybe you see
teams actually up there looking at any team like that
was a part of I I still remember, like being
with the Denver Broncos. We lost our last three games
to finish eight and eight that season, and like guys

(34:00):
had run into the locker room, like we easily could
have looked at the scoreboard to see that the Raiders
at that time had lost. So there you go, Burtoh,
all you guys had to do was win a home game.
I believe that year back in two thousand and uh yeah, yeah,
Jackson was a yeah, all you had to do was
what and you guys would have won the division. Instead,

(34:21):
we won the tiebreaker over the Raiders at eight and eight,
and I remember everyone's running the locker room and people
were like, hey, we won the n f C West.
You gotta come back out on the field, and like
there wasn't not maybe people even around, like most people
have kind of left, but we at that point we
were paying attention to the scoreboard, like we were getting
our butts kicked. I think by who was I think
it was why Kansas City. I think that's who beat

(34:42):
it was when Kyle Orton came back for the last
game of the season with the Chiefs and and we
had actually ended up ended up losing that game. I
think that was the final game of that regular season,
but we had lost to like the Patriots, I think
the Chargers and then the Chiefs. You don't think Calvin
Ridley is watching scoreboards. The guy's betting seventeen parlays. You
don't think he's got his eye on the scoreboard from

(35:02):
time to time. And he does now because he's sitting
out this season is very good. Yeah, he's gonna have
He's gonna have to do that in Jacksonville. Now about
still one of the most bizarre trades, by the way,
that we've seen in any professional sports league. It's pretty great. Uh,
