The OBJ Tour is such a non-story but give him credit for branding himself. The Rams claimed Baker Mayfield to block him from the needy Niners, but let’s be real about Baker’s career so far. Breaking News, Aaron Judge remains a Yankee. The Old P, Petros Papadakis talks about real animal mascots and much more on The Scraps.

(01:24):
tire buying should be. All right. So here is the
very latest on what is apparently the major story in
the National Football League, and it's somebody who hasn't played
almost a year. Odell Beckham Jr. Has completed his tour.

(01:45):
Now I don't know if you knew this or not,
but oh b J was on a tour. The tour
got off to a little bit of a rocky start
because some people on an airplane I thought he was
the dead guy from weekend at Bernie's and so they
were concerned. So you had to leave the plane. We

(02:06):
still never really got a straight answers to what was
going on there. All very weird stuff, but nonetheless Odell
Beckham Jr. Continued on with his tour. He saw the Giants,
he went and saw the Bills, He even went and
saw the Cowboys, and everybody made sure to let it

(02:28):
be known that Odell Beckham Jr. Was in town everybody.
I mean, he was at the Dallas Mavericks game. He
was meeting with all these I mean, all of it
is there. According to Ian Rappaport of the NFL Network,
after a whirlwind free agent visit tour, Odell Beckham Jr.

(02:49):
Is Headed home to Arizona to weigh his options, talk
to his family, and plot his next move. So we're
playing the waiting game on Odell Beckham Jr. And then
there's a report that came out of Dallas yesterday that well,
you know, he's still kind of banged up and injured
and he's probably not gonna be ready until like the
middle of January. So you know, there's all of that
that's added onto it now. Jerry Jones was making one

(03:14):
of his forty eight hits on local Dallas radio week yesterday,
I'm the Fan in Dallas, and he spoke about the
injury concerns when it was brought up and with Odell
Beckham Jr. And the plan when it comes to signing
somebody with some of those injury concerns. We all realized
that that issue of health. That issue of availability is

(03:36):
here every time. Uh, just this one is very obvious
and very pointed towards his injury that he had occurred
last year in the super boat. And you take a
good look at everything, not only the obvious and that's
his performance, but also any issues regarding health. So we've
got to come in with our eyes wide open and

(03:56):
it has to be addressed. And that's when you see
if you can make a deal or not. This is
such a non story. I'm sorry, Like, what are we
talking about here? Like, I get it, it's old up.
I've made this point a couple of times, and I
keep going back to it because I didn't understand it then,

(04:17):
and I don't understand this one now. Remember when Josh
Gordon kept getting signed, Like Josh Gordon kept getting chance
after chance after chance, and I was like, hey, was
so and so signed Josh Gordon? I mean, wow, that
that is a significant upgrade. Okay, Like you know when

(04:37):
he's not you know, hitting the left handed cigarettes back
when they were really frowned upon in the league and
it wasn't available to play, Okay, Like all right, I
mean yeah, you had that year where he played like
four teen games and had like, you know, six yards
receiving or whatever the crazy number was, and he was
doing it in Cleveland with a bunch of different quarterbacks.

(04:59):
Craz easy talent, but there was that always other part
of it that never got brought up until after he
got popped again and it was like a damn, well,
you know, maybe we'll get him next time. And it
was just a time and it's at a certain point
you went back and realized, you know, it's been a
long time since that one season he had. It's been

(05:19):
a while, and Odell Beckham's Jr. It's like nobody wanted
to speak up at the time and say, yeah, but
he's not healthy. Like and it's not trying to pick
on the guy or not trying like he's a great
talent and and really really fun to watch, but is
he ready to go? And so when you hear these
reports that come out of Dallas and you're like, oh,
you know, you may not be healthy, and it's just

(05:41):
the whole thing feels like a little bit of a
pr stunt, like you know, showing up and the first
game of the season and the Rams keeping a locker
open open for him, and the you know, like all
all these other like you know, he may be interested
in going here, and then he's at a Saints game
and it's well, you know, he is from you know,

(06:01):
the areas, so maybe that would make some sense. And
then what about the Giants? Maybe you didn't never want
to leave the Giants And he's like all these tours,
in these visits and you got von Miller, So what
what are we really talking about here? Like like what
are we what are we really really getting at here?
Like if he's not ready to play, why are we

(06:23):
talking about this? And it just feels like the answer
is wait till the off season. Then when you know
he's fully healthy, and then he comes back and and
there's more options out there on the table for him.
But it's like, I mean, first of all, in the
case of Buffalo and Dallas, do you really need Odell
Beckham Jr. Like seriously, if you're Buffalo, you really need O. B. J.

(06:47):
Stefon Digs as a stud, Gabe Davis all the other
weapons you like, it just feels like Buffalo, you know
maybe I mean, look, well you can it never hurts
to have more talent, Okay, but like what's it really doing?
Like what is it what is it really doing? Like
Dallas makes sense And I made this point earlier because

(07:08):
it feels like two celebrities that start dating and like
after like five six months they realized, yeah, we never
see each other, like you're busy, I'm busy. Like I mean,
it was a cool thought, and it got a bunch
of headlines and people checking out at the grocery store
could see our faces plastered on one of those crummy magazines.
That's cool, but like it didn't make any sense, Like

(07:33):
you know, you're traveling. I traveled, like we just we
don't see each this one Like now it's almost like
Dallas is starting to realize, like, well, yeah, but he's
not gonna be healthy and he's not gonna be available,
So what do we really And we've got Ceedee Lamb,
and we've got Gallup and we've got you know, like
we've got a lot of weapons like that, Like does
this make the most sense in the world? And from
a pr standpoint, like if you were to ask yourself,

(07:56):
who is about brand in the NFL, it's the Dallas Cowboys.
They are all about brand. They're all about it. It's
why Jerry Jones does all those interviews in Dallas. It's why,
you know, he speaks openly about stuff that that maybe
other people wouldn't speak openly about, whether it's personnel decisions
and all the other things. Like Dallas is all about brand,

(08:16):
the Cowboy brand, and they and it's successful. And credit
to Jerry Jones on that they're all about brand, and
so's Odell Beckham Jr. I mean he's all about the
brand too. Like just the idea that he would show
up to the first game of the NFL season and say,
whoever wins this game, I'm going to sign with when

(08:39):
he's not going to be ready for like nine or
ten months is crazy, or or not not gonna be
ready for several months until January is crazy. But he
got injured on that field in the Super Bowl, and look,
he might have been the m v P in that game,
but that was what nine ten months ago, Like we're like,

(09:02):
it's a long time ago. And so him showing up
in September saying I'll signed with whoever wins this game,
like and here we are all these months later, and
it's like now people are just starting to say, well,
you know, maybe he's not gonna be healthy. No, man,
that was the answer. The entire time, it never made
any sense. Whatever you want to say, none of it

(09:22):
made any sense. But again, now we wait. It's the
biggest story the NFL season apparently is where Odell Beckham Jr.
Is gonna sign? So again, now we play the waiting game.
Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio, two Pros and a Cup
of Joe. Also, Baker Mayfield is now in l A. RAM.
He is now a Los Angeles Ram. And you know
it's so funny about this one is it was like

(09:47):
a few minutes after it happened, what was the the
Rams were the only team to put a claim in
on Baker Mayfield. They were the only team to put
a claim on him. And that's why he's now an
l A. RAM. And so there's some thought that maybe
he might possibly be avail able for tomorrow night's game
against the Raiders, that maybe that would I find that
hard to believe. It'd be amazing if it happened, because

(10:07):
I think it'd be fun to watch him going in
there with the skeleton idea of what the offense is
and just say, all right, do what you want to do.
You're an upgrade over what we got right now, Matt
Stafford's out for the year. So there's all that, But
here's the other one that's that's hilarious to me. So
when it comes out that the forty Niners didn't put
a claimant on him, and it's almost like this indictment

(10:28):
on Baker Mayfield, like, oh my god, not even the
Niners wanted him. It's like, no, just not even the
Niners wanted to pay the one point whatever million dollars
Caroline owed him, because you know, the Rams have to
pick that up. And I think that's part of the
reason why the Rams did it, so they could block
the Niners from getting him, Like I absolutely think that
was part of the discussion there. But the Niners probably expected,

(10:48):
like a lot of people did, that Baker Mayfield was
going to be available once he cleared r waivers and
he was gonna be there, and since nobody else put
a claimant on him because they didn't want to pay that,
the Niners were absolutely an option on the table. But
it's almost like this indictment like, oh, well, Baker Mayfield,
the Niners didn't want him, and only the Rams claim him.
That i't to tell you where he's at in his career, no, Financially,

(11:11):
it didn't make sense for anybody to claim him. But
there's also this if you want to be fair to
the Baker Mayfield discussion, can we admit that it hasn't
exactly been the easiest transition into the NFL when it
comes to stable organizations, Like if we can all admit that, Like,

(11:31):
just go through the number of head coaches that Baker
Mayfield has had since his time in the NFL. He
starts out with Hugh Jackson, Hugh Jackson gets clipped, Greg
Williams takes over. They move on from Greg Williams, they
hire Freddie Kitchens. That didn't work. Freddie Kitchens is gone.

(11:51):
Then they hire Kevin Stefanski. That kind of worked, and
then it didn't. And then Baker Mayfield ends up in
Carolina where Matt Rules there, and then Matt Rule gets fired,
and then Steve Wilkes is his head coach, and now
he's onto another head coach and it's Sean McVeigh, And
there's already been some speculation that Sean McVeigh could be

(12:13):
in the broadcasting booth sooner rather than later. So if
you want to be fair to the situation, I'm not
saying Baker Mayfield is the greatest quarterback in the world,
but he hasn't exactly had the easiest transition and the
smoothest ride when it comes from organization to head coaching changes, etcetera, etcetera.
In the NFL, not exactly the easiest transition. And so

(12:34):
the idea when it was floated out there and we
talked about it a little bit yesterday, Baker Mayfield going
to the Niners, and you had some people before you
could even finish your thought. Nope, terrible idea. Absolutely not
right because Brock Purdy has done more in the NFL
than Baker Mayfield has. The guys want a playoff game?
You want a playoff game on the road in Cleveland.

(12:59):
That's that's like finding a tanning salon in Alaska. But well,
what do we he want to playoff game in Cleveland?
So this this whole discussion about, well, no, no, this
is this is where Baker Mayfield's at in his career.
If we're gonna be fair to the situation, you got
to tell the whole story. And the whole story with

(13:20):
Baker Mayfield is he came into the NFL, probably rubbed
some people the wrong way. I get it, but he
hasn't exactly had the most stable organizations around him, and
especially at the head coaching spot. Jonas Knox Two Pros

to discuss, and he's yours next here on FS are

(14:02):
Knocks week days at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio. No LaVar,
no Brady, it's just Jonas. They don't worry about it. Man,
everything's fine. We're gonna be fine. I've been doing this
a long time. Alright, So we are going to catch

(14:23):
up with the great Petros Papadakis coming up here. Momentarily
on fs are, but for all the latest from around
the world of sports, including a bit of a surprise
and some breaking news in the world of sports, we
turn it over to the one and only Eddie Garcia.
Breaking news from Fox Sports. Well, we mentioned it earlier.
We were on Aaron Judge watch uh here this morning,

(14:46):
and there were a lot of reports yesterday that Judge
was on the verge of signing with the San Francisco
Giants and would get around three or fifty million dollars.
Where our friend friend of the show, John Paul Morosty
is reporting that Aaron Judge is in fact going to
remain with the New York Yankees. Don't know the details
on the agreements, what the numbers are at this point,

(15:09):
but again John Paul Morossi reporting that sources say Aaron
Judge is has reached an agreement to remain with the
New York Yankees. And so Lee, what was the number
you just saw? We have some details potentially on the contract.
Ken Rosenthal says, nine years, three sixty million. Jesus, that's
not bad. That's decent. I mean, it's kind of it's

(15:32):
kind of in the range of what you make Eddie
so I mean, you can probably relate to this, but
but yeah, so there it is Aaron Judge. Giants losers.
By the way, I feel bad like I like John Hayman,
but he ran with that report yesterday that that Aaron
Judge was signing with the Arson Judge. Yeah, it was
Arson Judge and then afterwards had to retract it because

(15:53):
he got burned on that one. That sucks. That happens though,
you know, man, sometimes you know, well do you get
an imitation? That good to be first, but it's better
to be right. Yeah, that is true. So congratulations Aaron
Judge back with the Yankees nine years, three and sixty
million dollars. And Aaron, I know you're listening. Don't forget
about your alma mater. Oh Fresno steak guy. Yeah all right,

(16:16):
So so we got him, we got Davante Adams, We've
got Eddie Garcia, we got Derek Carr, anybody, Paul George,
George and I agree, Mountain West champs. Right, if only
we could get somebody that was, you know at the
Mountain West. Thank you, oldp for bringing the good mojo
to my bulldogs. So again, yeah, Aaron Judge apparently staying

(16:37):
with the New York Yankees. As far as NFL news,
the l A Rams have claimed quarterback Baker Mayfield off
waivers from the Carolina Panthers. Rams are the only team
that reportedly put in a claim for Mayfield, and there
is a chance. People are saying it is possible that
Mayfield could make his debut with his new team as
soon as this Thursday night against the Raiders. For Squaring,

(16:58):
Jimmy Garoppolo has a broken foot, but he's not gonna
need surgery on it, so that means he could return
to action later in this season. They're saying it's a
seven to eight week recovery and that could mean to
be back for the playoffs. More clarity on that knee
injury to Raven's quarterback Large Jackson. It's a PCL sprain
recovery time one to three weeks, but not likely he

(17:19):
will see the field this weekend against the Steelers. Cowboys
owner Jerry Jones says he is not confident about signing
wide receiver Odor Blackham Jr. Without seeing him work out. Beckham,
of course recovering from that knee injury he suffered in
the Super Bowl and has yet to work out for
any potential teams at this point to three games in
the NBA with the Mavericks of the Nuggets one sixteen
to one fifteen, Caffaliers beat the Lakers one sixteen, one
oh two, and the Pistons down the Heat one sixteen

(17:41):
to ninety. Tonight in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns are
hosting the Boston Celtics. That's our Discover Card key matchup,

you come to a rail crossing stop because trains can't
coming up. In about twenty minutes from now, we are
going to have a story in the world of football
it's almost it's almost too hard to believe. But it
involves a Fox Sports radio personality. So we'll have that

(18:26):
for you here twenty minutes from now on FS are
right now, though it is a Wednesday tradition. Petros Papadakis,
the co host of the Petros and Money Show on
the blowtorch Am five seventy l A Sports also a
Fox College football analyst and you can get him on
Twitter at the old p A. Petros. I know, uh
Am five seventy the home of the Dodgers. I know

(18:47):
that had to be a sigh of relief from you
hearing that Aaron Judge did not sign with the Giants
and he's back with the Yankees. No, I don't care.
I'm like Eddie, I like I like a West Coast guy.
To be on the West Coast doesn't mattert um. By
the way, we're people giving you a hard time because
you were cold at the Mountain West Championship game. I

(19:08):
think anybody would have been cold. Everybody was cold. It
was cold. I mean when it's twenty degrees outside and
you have to stand there for five hours, it's cold,
really cold. But I had a good time. I enjoyed
being in Boise, Idaho. I had never been there before,
and I've done a lot of Boise games on TV,
so I wanted to legitimize myself and meet all the

(19:31):
people that I've been talking to for a few years now.
And it was great to be with the Fresno people.
I I know a lot of them, like John Baxter,
the special team's coach, was at USC for a long time.
Jeff Tedford Terry to me, the athletic director, was a
U c l A guy. And Jake Kyner is just
a great kid and an absolute star and an underrated

(19:55):
quarterback in the country. I think if he would have
played the whole year, he probably would be at the
It has been ceremony with all the other quarterbacks. So
I had a great time. I enjoyed it. But yes,
it was bitterly cold, and so did you have the
right attire on or do you feel like you might
could have gone? I had two socks, I had, you know,

(20:16):
on each foot. I had long underwear. I mean, I've
done cold weather before. I'm just old. I haven't done
it in a while. I had long underwear. I had pants.
I had a shirt, a longsleeve shirt, a sweater, and
a fox jacket and a beanie. So I mean, I

(20:39):
was pretty ready, but what do you do? And I
had those hand warmer things, but when the sun goes down,
it's cold. I'm sorry. I live in California and I
don't even go outside. I'm born and raised here. And
look at that. And and now obviously you being boots
on the ground coverage of Fresno State, and then we've
got you know, Davant Adams having the game he had,

(21:01):
and Derek Carr and he got all these Fresno State
in the world. It's it's a week for the five
five nine, It's a week for the No. And you know,
there was a time in my life, and it might
have been because of a girl I dated who was
maybe a little bit less than all together at that
time in her life. What do you mean by that?
What we're talking about was, you know, just she had

(21:22):
some issues and she was from that area. And you know,
when I used to see that five five nine area
code on my cell phone, it was really upset. I
used to just I used to used to strike fear
in the way that is hard to describe. But now,
after these wonderful years I've had covering Fresno State football

(21:44):
with Kylin Dubor, who's the Pack twelve co coach of
the Year this year, and Michael Pennos is coming back,
and with Jeff Now and Kirby Moore the o C
who's Kellen Moore's brother. I've had the time of my
life with the Bulldogs this year. And Aaron Judge gets
a nine year deal to go back to the Yankees.

(22:06):
As reported by Fresno State alum himself Eddie Garcia a
few moments ago, it's a banner day for Fresno State here, huge,
all right, So Petro's I gotta ask you the next thing.
You know, the price of weed is gonna go skyrocketing,
and everybody's paid for it somehow. So let me ask
you this. We're having a very serious discussion earlier, all right,

(22:28):
antlers on the cars during the holidays or truck nuts
the rest of the year. Which would you go with? Well,
it's important stuff. Truck Nuts had been you know, because
I'm in a truck because of a sponsorship thing. Truck
Nuts have always been a subject on our show and

(22:50):
just how deeply offensive they are, whether or not they're
dipped in chrome or I mean, it's almost defensive just
to see like a horse's balls days right around You're like,
you have these plastic nuticles on your machine. You know,
it's almost like a Southwest Airline plane having a heart
painted on it. It's like, why, like if a dog

(23:12):
has balls, it's weird now, yeah, but yeah, if you
ever want to see a real set of balls, speaking
of the Mountain West, do you know where I'm going
with this Cam the Ram at Colorado State? Everybody right now,
Google Cam the Rams balls, and you will see a

(23:33):
pair of balls that are so snowy white and so
swollen and regal you can't believe they ever lose the
Rocky Mountain showdown to Colorado. We are talking about some
serious nuts on Cam the Ram. He's called Cam the
Ram because Colorado State used to be Colorado A and M.

(23:56):
And you're welcome. So looking ato cam the Ram right now,
I don't see any who I have to search. Keep
the rams balls all right? So let me make sure
that they're mostly a front shot. It's basically a ram
or like a Jesus see, look at those street sweepers right,

(24:16):
Oh my god, what the hell that's gotta be like?
Is that a medical condition. Well you can't. Like, that's
the thing. If you're Colorado State, you can't sit there
and castrate your mascot. He's gotta be he's gotta be virile. Right.
It looks like a speed bag, I'm telling you. And
you know, Ralphie is a girl. Everybody knows that, right,

(24:39):
Ralphie is a girl, because if it was a male buffalo,
it would just it would almost be even dumber to
run it across a football field full of live people. Wow,
all right, listen, So I was unaware. So m I
don't know if Eddie. See if you look, everybody participated
in balls. Yeah they are, Eddie. I never thought about

(25:03):
that when the Rams were up there playing the Bulldogs
in the valley. Man oh man, uh well, I'll tell
you it's one of the great things in sports, Jonas.
If you've ever done the Rocky Mountain Showdown, and few have,
but you know they run Ralphie. The running of Ralphie,
female or male, is not only acidine and completely and

(25:25):
totally dangerous, it's also one of the coolest things in
college football to watch the thing run across the field,
especially if you're down there and then they run this
giant nutted goat like and it's a little bit of
an anti climax unless you see the back side view,

(25:46):
and it's uh it is something to behold well, by
the way, I mean when you say reckless bringing Ralphie out,
have there been incidents where Ralphie has gone a little
bit wild because it's like the Sooner Wagon? I forget that?
Is it the Sooner schooner in Oklahoma? Like that thing's
tipped over a couple of times. So, I mean, has
there been an issue with Ralphie the buffalo yet? Have

(26:07):
we seen that play out? Well? I think you could
probably google it and they lose control of it all
the time. And you know, fulsom Field has one of
the shortest porches like as far as sidelines go, and
there's like a brick wall. It's really kind of a
death trap. Uh So, But I don't know as far

(26:27):
as you know. The dumbest thing I've ever seen anywhere
is Bevo. Bevo is a real long horn steer and
that is not an animal that anybody could control just
manually if it went crazy, which is why Bevo, if
you've ever gone down there, is completely and totally sedated.

(26:51):
I mean Bevo's eyes. Bevo is the most stoned animal.
It's like Ana Nicole Smith on that show that's Bevo.
And there's literally a guy with a pole, like an
eight ft long pole, which is like a backscratcher, scratching
his chest really reluctantly, while Bevo just sits there right.

(27:12):
And I've been down there and they were like, do
you want to go, you know, inside the fence and
take a picture. And I was like, sure, is it okay?
And they were like, oh yeah, he's heavily senate. Okay.
Fast forward to there's like a I forget what bowl
game it was, but it wasn't long ago, and it
was Georgia versus Texas. A bulldog is called a bulldog

(27:33):
because it baits bulls, and then worse, it's wearing red,
which we all understand from watching cartoons and bull fighting
is quite a color to these type of beasts. And
they put the bull right in front of the steer,

(27:55):
and what do you think happen? You've seen this, right,
You got a little pissy Bevo took two steps, that's it,
two steps and wrecked the partition, broke some guy's arm
and caused like huge chaos just from two steps. And
that's because and he was sedated, and he just got

(28:17):
pissed because he saw uga. Can you imagine if he
took four steps like twice the destruction eight steps? You
know that beavo is the craziest thing we do. And
I am not for banning this. Look, college football is
stupid in the first place. It was always stupid. We've
never had a good reason for a multibillion dollar industry

(28:40):
which it is now to be wrapped up inside our
institutions of higher education. However it is, And it's just
as well that we have live extremely dangerous animals. You know,
Michigan used to have a real wolverine and yeah, but
that scared the hell out of the player and didn't

(29:02):
and and Notre Dame in a black leper con correct, Well,
that wasn't my time. Yeah, okay, it's a different time.
There's black people in Ireland. Come on, I hear you. Listen,
tell me about it. By the way, Uh now, I
do have to ask you this because I wanted to
get your thoughts on it. You you and Brady touched
on a little bit last week. Petros bobadegis joining us here.

(29:23):
You are proud usc along. So the Caleb Williams painting
the fingernails just like dude, like, is it me or
is he slowly getting close to unlikable territory? Well, the
fingernail thing. I remember when Baker Mayfield was grabbing his

(29:45):
crotch and I was doing those in the Big Twelve,
and you know, but everybody was talking about can this
guy win the Heisman? Look at the way he is
and all this, And I kind of saw that as
I did a lot of those games, and I kind
of saw a lot of that as Baker really just
being very much in touch with his teammates and being

(30:05):
more like a linebacker playing quarterback. Now, how has that
played out in the NFL. You know, that's a different story.
And you know, you hope people mature and become more
professional as they continue in football at a professional level,
which colleges to. I mean, let's be honest, but uh,

(30:26):
if I were, I just wish Mike Bone or somebody
would have just shown up with Q text, you know,
and said, Okay, let's let's take care of you know,
but let's say easy, by the way, you just dip
your finger in it. Like in the old school, they
had a sponge with a groove in it when you
put your finger in and take the nail polish off.
But instead, you know, they leaned into it and they
kind of celebrated it. They sent Reggie Bush and Matt

(30:48):
Leiner to get a manicure with him and made a
feature out of it. I mean, it's it's curious to me,
And there is kind of a mers an airy type
of feel about some of these guys these days because
of the amount of money being made. Now, he's gonna
be at USC one more year, he's gonna win the Heisman,

(31:09):
and he played great. I wish he was a little
bit more contrite after a loss. I don't know if
contrites the word, like instead of going around crying with
a towel on your head, like maybe go congratulate the
other quarterback. I mean, if you're gonna play football for
a long time, you're gonna win games and you're gonna
lose games, and you have to be able to do

(31:30):
both and have some modicum of grace. And it just
doesn't seem there right now. But when you see Bryce
Young though, it's a complete opposite. Yeah, But I know
Bryce Young, I know his dad, I I watched him
play in high school and he's just a completely different
player and he plays within himself, I think a little
bit more. And I can understand Caleb being upset after

(31:52):
both of those Utah games, especially being banged up and
the second one. And that's another thing that really concerned
me was and it kind of goes back to the
this guy's making more money than most of the assistant coaches,
and they said, well, why didn't you take him out?
And you're running all these zone read RPO kind of
things down the stretch of the game and he's obviously

(32:13):
not mobile, and Morgan, Scally and Whittingham are looking at
each other on the other sideline like, really, okay, you
know I'm not gonna put the other guy in. I mean,
we know how to play defense here were Utah And
that was kind of interesting. And then when asked about
it after the game, Lincoln Riley said something to the
effect of, well, you know, he wouldn't let me take

(32:34):
him out. Michael, Okay, then what are we doing? Like,
what what you know if he doesn't let you take
him out, what what is the purpose of having a coach?
You know, why don't we just let him do it?
And paying everybody's nails. You know, I didn't used to
paint my nails in my time as more of a
goth statement. But that you know, you were in a

(32:55):
cure shirt. You threw on some some nail polish action. Yeah,
don't see anything wrong with that. No, it's I don't
think it's a salvation issue, as we would say in
the Christian world. But uh, but I don't. I don't
like it, you know. But I don't like the towel
waving guys either. I don't think that is a good
look for USC's that makes any sense. Yeah, And I

(33:19):
don't understand why it's there. Like the towel waving thing
was a u c l A coach, a guy named
Ed Kazarian who was a tight end at u c
l A and an academic guy and a coach and
an interim coach, and he used to incessantly wave a
towel like there was no tomorrow on the sideline and
it was annoying. But it was a U c l
A thing. And why it's become a US thing with

(33:40):
these strength coach guys and have towels in their hands
strategically placed around the field to freak out like you're
like Junior Gong. Have you ever seen Junior Gong play.
He's got a guy up there, he's a flagman and
all he does is wave the flag back and forth
the whole time, like literally the whole concert. And it's
like a Jamaican saying, if you have energy, like Junior

(34:02):
gones flagman, you have good energy. But why do we
have to have that on the sideline at a USC game?
We've never done that before. Well, now, what would they
say to Ed Kazarian if you were in, say, I
don't know, Glendale, what would they say to him? If
you like, like what would they say, like, well, what's
like to go to come? Bro? I like your toue bro.
That's Egyptian compon bro, dude, bro oh man. Petro's always

(34:32):
fun man. We'll get him on Twitter at the Old
p and people are now tweeting in pictures of Cam
the ram and those giant balls, Uh, the the Colorado State.
You've really you've educated a lot of people here this morning.
This is something I was not aware of. This talked
about the logistical dimensions of fulsome field. Oh yeah, I

(34:55):
mean this makes me want to reach out to Dave
Anderson and just be like, dude, you've been holding back
on me, like you know what that is Anderson has Uh,
he's let you down as a friend. Yeah, come on,
this is I can't believe he like left this out
of the story. This should be the lead in every conversation.
So Petro's always fun. Let's do it again next week,
especially when Ralph who's got nothing done there? That is true.

(35:18):
I don't want anyone touching the balls after that thing.
I don't want to me those balls are perfect there.
It is uh, it is Get him on Twitter. Petros

more at Discover dot com slash redeemed rewards terms apply.
How could you not get to these stories? Are the scraps? Alright?

(38:07):
So whatever, I'm flying solo. You know, we don't want
to have, you know, some of the other particulars the
regulars we do here on this show. So we do
the scraps because we've got to clean up a few things.
Maybe there's some stories we haven't had a chance to
get to and lead the lab is here to provide
those with us. Lee Jonas. We had the breaking news
reported by John Rossi that Aaron Judges in agreement with
the Yankees. It's a nine year, three sixty million dollar deal.

(38:30):
He also adds that indications are Aaron Judge turned down
higher offers elsewhere because he wanted to remain a Yankee. Yeah,
that sounds like a bunch of crap. Come on, man, likes,
there's nothing wrong with saying I went to the highest bidder,
like I like, I don't, I don't understand. So like, so,

(38:51):
if the Giants came to Aaron Judge and said we'll
give you four million, he's gonna say no, I'd rather
go back to the Yankees. After the Yankees base sickly
had a little bit of a public sort of back
and forth with him about the contract they offered him initially,
and they let it even get to this point. I mean,
I find that hard to believe. But it doesn't matter
now to move point. Aaron Judge is staying with the Yankees.

(39:13):
It's probably a better fit. Like no fan base is
gonna love him the way the Yankees love him. There
you know he's got you know, he's the a L
home run king. The John Hayman tweet. I feel bad
for John Hayman because he ran with the giant story yesterday,
but it did feel like it was down to those
two teams. And so Aaron Judge is back with the Yankees.
Nine years, three D sixty million dollars. So good for

(39:34):
Aaron Judge, Good for the Yankees. What else we got?
Jonas a story? Um, please to report. Bucky Brooks our friends. Yeah,
head coach of Granada Hills Charter High School. They're heading
to the state UH state championship. Interesting fact about his team,
They've attempted seven passes all season long, having completed a
single one. Okay, So Bucky and I and Lee you

(39:55):
were part of this show. Bucky Brooks and I did
a show together on Saturdays here for years, and we
love Bucky's awesome, and we actually start when he started
and took over this team was when we were doing
the show together and there was a lot of work,
like they hadn't won games, they were really struggling, and
I remember him telling me, we're just gonna primarily run

(40:17):
the football, even in a passing era of football. He's like,
we're just gonna run the football and we're gonna have success.
And he was confident in those guys and he literally
has built that program back John Elway's alma mater. Even
John Elway would give him love on Twitter when he
would see the success they would have. So congrats to
Bucky Brooks and Granada Hills. Great dude, good story and

(40:37):
also a Fox Sports Radio alum. Come on, man, who
doesn't love that Fox Sports Radio has the best sports
