(01:36):
eat last night? Oh? Some spicy mediterranean? He did it
on purpose to like he's going outrageous with his food selections.
Have you guys ever have you ever taken your kids
to a daycare school, like the preschools, Like they're in school,
but it's not really school because they're too young. Is
like just like a daycare. Really we're they're getting educated.
(02:00):
He's too young and I wouldn't trust him there anyways. Well, well,
for for some people that that's what they do, and
it has a very distinct smell to it. It's like
an interesting smell that you never forget. Um Lee has
successfully made the studio smell like a a pre preschool
(02:21):
take kid. So if that mediterranean food is what this
smell is, then it's kind of like they make it
out of the same stuff they make baby food. I
guess you know. Let me tell you something those school
when I was a janitor, I was a janitor in
high school and I worked during the summer. I picked
(02:42):
up some hours to make some extra money. And one
of the jobs we had to do is we had
to steam clean the carpet at a kindergarten. Oh my god,
it smells that because those kids during naptime, some of
them were like, yeah, this will do right here. I'm
not using the batter. I've just got to sleep. I
(03:04):
had a lunch a bowl, and I'm ready to ready
to call it today. And uh yeah, we had to
clear a clean up and steam room and it is awful.
So I mean, if you guys could have heard the
sound that Lee's body made, um, you guys would send
him well wishes and that's all I said. Yeah, Lee,
what is mer? What do you say your you ate
spicy Mediterranean? Yeah? Streetcart, streetcart, schwarmer wrap. I'm gonna send
(03:29):
a picture to you guys because it was delicious. It
was an interesting choice last night between that in Sri
Lankan Asian fusion. So you ate street food, No, it's
like it's a Mediterranean swarm. He's got street It's a
place called Spits. I'm not sure that a restaurant. Yeah,
(03:52):
it is a restaurant. It's a chain out here. I
think it's I'm not sure if it's national or not. Yeah,
he had he had the rectum Minnesota in Texas, hasn't.
What made you want to get that last night? Well,
you know, I've actually been eating healthy lately, so it was, uh,
it smells healthy, so I'm trying to avoid you know,
(04:14):
bread sugars, be but you gotta wrap. But I got
well it was a yeah, it was like a green tortilla.
Rop was it cold? Uh? Well, I got it spicy,
so its spicy was hot? It was hot, I mean,
but was warm? Oh yeah, I can't eat Yeah, I
eat it real hot. I'm looking at that confused healthy
(04:37):
about this was the tempt just do Jonasis died. Just
don't eat anything that. It's not even up for debate
if it's healthier, Brady, what's that book we're working on
that new diet books on the floor. Put down and
put it down. But that then the problem is people
are just start using spoons and other other things. So
it's just put it down. The lead needs to take
(04:57):
that approach with his backside. Put it down, Put your
backside down, leave your backside at home. It's just an appetizer.
You started a war LaVar that is I mean I did.
I did bring down the house the other day. What
makes you say something like that, like did you fart
in the car on the way over? And you're just like, oh,
it gets worse than what he's thinking. Who, yeah, I
(05:19):
don't know. I was. I was pulling my punches yesterday.
I didn't want to. I didn't want to come in,
you know, with a week jab, so I saved it
up a little bit up for those later rounds. You're like,
I didn't bring into lasagna, man and garlic bread. But
I was like, I'm trying to eat healthy, healthy. I
had clam chowder, and I had y'all all teed up
(05:40):
for but it just, you know, you put tabasco on
your clam chowder. Business happened way too early. Yeah, tabasco,
and your clam chowders out still the way, Like clam
chowder does not smell appetizing to me. I feel like
if it smells bad on the way, and it can
smell worse in the way. Oh, I'll tell you what.
I had them did the right if it would have
been just an hour later and I got I got
(06:03):
burd oh so good. The other day bert Berto was
dry heaven. I had him good. Yea, he it was good.
It's good. That's that's the way that you know. The
control room foight back, it's strike when they struck back,
he struck back. It was horrible. Um. By the way,
I didn't know if you guys saw this or not,
but somebody did point out that with the Australian Open
(06:26):
going on, you know, maybe Live bet Jesus will make
it appearance pointed that out. Just somebody on Twitter pointed
that out, and Live bet Jesus did respond. So I'm
just saying, listen that that was that was sent around.
I I don't know, why don't you pay attention to that?
I don't know, listen to me. You know, I don't
ask for this these responsibilities, but why do you have
a tweet? I just don't want to see him many.
(06:47):
I don't want to see him on our show. He
all he does is pick out losers. That's all he does.
He's a good looking dude, though, yeah saying him I
Bet Jesus, Yeah, good looking dude. Damn ready is um. So,
I don't know if you guys were aware of this.
Sean Payton is available if anybody needs a head coach. Alright,
(07:08):
so again, I'm not sure if you guys were aware
of that, But according to the Washington Post, uh David Tepper,
the owner of the Carolina Panthers, he said he would
give Sean Payton just about anything he wants to go
to Carolina. Now, on the subject of that, Jeff Duncan,
who covers the Saints for the New Orleans Times Picayune,
(07:29):
he says that Peyton is seeking reportedly a four year
deal worth between twenty to five million dollars a season.
So if you wont Sean Payton, it's not gonna be cheap,
and you're gonna have to make some arrangements with the
New Orleans Saints to do so. So there's the latest
on Sean Payton wants back. In Coaching Volume eighteen, I believe.
So is he getting to the point where he's like
(07:53):
putting himself out there too much? Like maybe you know
what I'm saying, Like I feel like that he's a
was doing it too much to the point where like
now it's like, wait a second, so we kind of
second guess this, Like he's kind of talking to everyone
and making it making it sure everyone wants to have
a piece of them. It's kind of like, shouldn't he
be a little more like close to the vest and
(08:13):
a little more like I want the perfect opportunity for me.
And it's you know, it's almost like he's just willing
to engage in conversation about coaches anyone, so anywhere, anytime.
Albert Briers said this a couple of times that Sean
Payton he doesn't believe that he's going to be back,
that he's going to return to broadcasting, and then maybe
next year is the real opportunity. And I'm starting to
go in that direction just because there's a report out
(08:34):
that Vic Fangio is interviewing for the Falcons defensive coordinator job,
and Fangio was supposed to be Sean Payton's hand picked
all star defensive cord. Yeah, so Fangio is already sniffing
around at some other opportunities. It feels like, to your point,
maybe this isn't really everything that has shaken out to be,
(08:56):
and maybe Sean Payton realizes maybe the opportunities he was
looking at, like the Chargers and the Cowboys aren't going
to be there, and so he would rather go back
to Fox and then try and do this thing again
next year that's what it feels like at this point.
But again another day and another Sean Payton rumor. You know,
I think it's a valid point or question to ask,
(09:16):
is he putting himself out there too much? I think?
But then but then the other side of it says, well,
if you got owners coming out saying not do anything
to to have him, I mean, but that's just David
Tepper not understanding the game, you know, like Sean Payne
should be playing hard to get and instead like he's
(09:36):
just entertaining any and all things. You know, this isn't
like the vaguest strip, you know, it just sounds like
social media. I've just throwing it out like it's getting
to the point where, like again before anything even started,
even during the the more Hamlin, you know, everything that
was going on between the more Hamlin the bills, like
he was making it public that he's he's looking for
(09:58):
a job, like he'd like to get back into coaching.
I was like, hold on, dude, we make sure this
young man's okay before you talk about you wanted to
be a head coach. I mean, he's been so hourly
open about the entire process. I'm just saying, like I
feel like it's it's a bit much like I played
a little bit hard to get That's all I'm saying
at this point, you know, like he doesn't need to
(10:18):
talk to every We've got younger offensive coordinators and even
older ones at Darryl Bevil. They're turning down opportunities to interview.
They're like, I'm good where I'm at. I don't need
to take that, which probably only makes that team want
them a little bit more. Think, oh man, okay, we'll
have to move on to someone else. I guess if
the asking price is legit and and the report from
Jeff Duncan is true and it's twenty million dollars per season,
(10:43):
that would that would lead you to believe the Broncos
make the most sense, right because they're the ones with
the most cash because the coaches salary doesn't go against
the cap. And so if you gotre ownership that runs
Walmart stepping in that, that's where the denver By Yeah,
like she can do what every you want with it,
which is awesome. You know. By a boat, take your
(11:04):
buddies out on on the lake. A boat or a ship. Yeah,
just like a boat. And if the engine, if the
engine goes down. Who cares, you know, like just you know,
take your buddies out on a holiday weekend. Like that's
that's a tough of money I'm talking about, you know
what I mean, Brady, Like, that's the type of money
I'm talking about. That that that the Denver Broncos have
their with their ownership. You know, take take your buddies
(11:26):
out on a boat. How do you guys think this ends?
I don't. I mean, he goes back to Fox this year.
I don't think he's coaching this year. And that's what
you're saying now that I mean, I think he's probably
evaluating a couple of things, right, like who he ties
himself to at quarterback, because ultimately that's what's gonna equates
his success. I mean, Denver is attractive because the ownership,
(11:48):
the history of the organization. They do have a really
good roster. You've been a tough division, though, and it's
one where in the NFC South. You know, it got
tough when Tom Brady got there, and he didn't necessarily
have a ton of success outside of the Super Bowl.
There was that string of years of what three years,
there was seven and nine in a row, right with
him and breeze and then they finally started to kind
(12:09):
of find their way once they build up the roster.
But the Broncos are are in for it. I mean
that that's a tough division. So he probably could be
hesitant about Russell Wilson, maybe his ability to immediately go
in and have success in the a f C or
just in the a f C West. But and then
outside of that, you're looking around, going all right, what
other job that's open? Do you feel like I have
(12:30):
a quarterback that I'm tied to? Because part of what
he's maybe evaluating is who's a quarterback they're gonna draft.
Who's the quarterback that that I'm gonna be working with?
Um I just think that has to be because he's
an often offensive, minor head coach. A big piece of
the conversation. And let's just say he does. Wait until
next year. You know you're probably looking at whatever team
(12:52):
is drafting number one, number two overall probably has a
new head coach too, and that new head coach is
gonna be cicking Caleb Williams, and he might be said,
I can go win a super Bowl with that young man.
Caleb Williams a better prospect than anybody in the draft
this year. Yes, he'd be the number one. Damn. How
about that? Drake May might even also be the next
(13:13):
behind that. You just don't have many concerns about either
those two. And Drake May is coming out next year too. Boys,
they're both draft eligible again. You know they would they
would have the ability. I think they come back for
an additional year. But yeah, damn. And one of them
paints their fingernails, which is great for everybody that's not
that's correct. So that's that's Caleb Williams. He's you know,
(13:35):
he's like the new age Tim Tebow. No, he doesn't
put it on the a black strip. He puts it
on here. By the way, I don't know that f
Utah is a biblical verse. That's not one of the
I think I've Reggie started that before Tebow ever got
in there. Reggie is the one that used to have
like the area code right six nine on the the
(13:56):
eye black there. Do you have a sanitizer wipe next
to the mic. You're not breathing in any of the
foul that is correct. So this is what you've done, Lee,
this is what you've done because you decided to eat
I knew. I knew they I knew that they were
going to come for I mean, Burdoh almost dropped his
(14:21):
holio on the floor when he stuck it in the
door the other day. He couldn't get he couldn't get it,
he couldn't deliver. So I knew this was coming. So
I've I've already had my plan thought out, which was
to have a sanitizer scrub right where the microphone is.
So now I was burning my eyes like uh like
one of those what are those called cute the things
(14:43):
you break and the smelling salts dip, Yeah, am monia
cap that's what it is. Yeah, that's what smells like.
It's got my eyes water and a little bit. But
I'd rather that and breathing um maybe damaging fumes rather
than his damaging fume. You're saying right now, you're killing
brain cells by breathing in the air. Yes, lead to
lap is right either way. I'm going to kill brain
(15:05):
cell so I might as well smell some chlor rocks. Yeah, yeah,
there you go. Yeah, so that's it. You're right, So
there it is. That's that's it. And I'm more I'm
more concerned that you're not breathing. Well, you put lotion
on your hands and started smelling your hands. Yeah, all right,
so there's that Lee stink Man. By the way, we
were brought to you by Discover. I'm sure they're proud
(15:26):
about that. We could talk about how complicated other banks
make it to redeem credit card awards, or we can
talk about how Discover you can redeem your rewards for
cash and any amount at any time. You can talk
about amazing learn more discover dot com slash redeemed rewards
terms apply. All right, it's coming up next. We're going
to find out how close it got for a major
change in the NFL with our NFL Insider. It's yours
(15:46):
right here on fs are be sure to catch live
editions of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with
Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week days at
six am Eastern three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the I Heart Radio app. Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio. Coming up
in a little over twenty minutes from now, we are
(16:07):
going to have a discussion about the evaluation of somebody
in the league because there was a very hard hitting
question asked to this person, and they handled it in
a very unique way. So we'll get into that for
you again a little over twenty minutes from now from
the tire rack dot Com studios. But right now we
turn it over to the man himself, Albert Brier, senior
NFL reporter at the MMQB. You can get him on
(16:28):
Twitter at Albert Brier. Nothing can face him on a Thursday. Up.
You gotta go all the way out to pick up
some muffins for the kids in the morning, no problem.
Your car starts to malfunction and make beeping noises randomly,
no problem, Nothing can phase Albert Brier, O, what's happening?
I thought I was a little faced by the beeping. Actually,
(16:50):
I don't know. I don't I don't know if I
handled that one. Great. Listen, nobody noticed at all? Yeah, no, nobody.
Nobody knows whatsoever. Albert. Can I ask you how how
close were the Chargers actually to making a change in
head coach. I don't think they were very close at all.
(17:11):
I mean, I you my understanding as they you know,
when the meetings on pretty quick, um, you know, I
think there's urgency there to get the most out of
Justin Herbert, and you know, obviously this is gonna be
a critical off season for them, um making a decision
on whether or not to pay Herbert now hold off
a year on that. Um, you know, so there are
(17:32):
a lot of decisions to be made there. But UM,
you know, for as much noise as there was about
Sean Payton wanting that job, and you know Sean obviously
lives out there in l A And UM, I just
I don't know that the Chargers were ever going to
fire a coach two years into his contract and then
go and pay twenty million dollars for you know, a
(17:54):
headline coach. It's just never been what they've done. So. UM,
you know how quickly they moved to fire Joe Lombardi
and Shane Day and Michael well hoit like I I
that's an indication that they were moving forward very very
fast with Brandon's Daley. Can I ask this question, Albert?
It seems like, you know, Sean Payne's really making it
(18:17):
known that he's out there and he's gonna interview for
all these jobs and so forth. Is he is he
putting himself out there a little too much? I mean,
don't you feel like he should maybe play a little
more hard to get with all this and and not
you know, basically look at every single owner that gives
him a call to want to look at that franchise
and coach or is he the type that like he's
(18:38):
he's taking all this data and information, he's collecting it
for the for the team that he wants to go
to and understanding that he knows behind the scenes when
he plays that team, how that operation works. Like what
is with just the the I don't know that the
constant um you know, public I guess details that he's
letting everyone in on every single time someone asked him
(18:59):
interview for a job. Well, I guess there's one or
two ways you can go with this, Brady, if you're
Sean and you're doing the job that he's doing right
now for Fox, which is you can either pull yourself
off the air altogether, right or you can go on
the air and talk about it, you know. And so
I think that that's sort of the hard thing is
that it's you know, because he is out there and
(19:23):
you know, he does Colins Show and he um and
he you know, he's on Fox on Sundays. Like if
you're gonna stay on through the playoffs, like, and there's
gonna be coaching searches going on. The reality is it's
gonna come up and it's gonna be really awkward if
you're not talking about those things, you know. So, Um,
this is the way he's gone forward with it. Um.
(19:45):
I I do think there's some information gathering here. Um.
And I think one of the reasons why he's taking
all these interviews because the perfect job isn't out there.
I think the perfect job was the Chargers job. It
would have allowed him to stay in Los Angeles and
would have given him a young quarterback. It would have,
I think, checked every box. Um, Because that job's out
out there. I think now he looks at it and says, well,
(20:08):
none of these jobs are perfect. I do want to
coach next year, so I'm gonna take a hard look
at every single one of them and investigate every single
one of them and make sure I've turned over every
rock and Guys, Honestly, I don't know that he's going
to coach next year. That's the thing, Like, I don't know,
you know, I don't know if he's gonna look at
any of these jobs and say I have to go
(20:29):
get that job, or I have to go get that job.
I just think it's sort of it's sort of like
one of those where like the the the situation that
you would drop isn't out there. And I think that's
one thing that Sean probably had to learn, is you
know when you when you go through this and you
get fired, and then you know you're the bell of
the ball. That's all great, but normally nine times out
(20:51):
of ten, there are gonna be serious problems with jobs
that come open. Otherwise they wouldn't come open. I'm gonna
switch to a different different coach. He's he's he is coaching,
and he's still in the playoffs. Mike McCarthy, Um, they delivered.
Dallas delivered. I must admit I was probably on the
(21:13):
bandwagon of people that did not think that they would.
I'm still seemingly not a believer fully and and what
what they may or may not do, but one thing
is for certain. They they were impressive and and they're
showing against Tampa Bay. What what are the discussions out
(21:35):
of Dallas that maybe you have have received since since
this game, because there are always the it's just it's
it's polarizing to talk about Dallas and what Dallas has
going on, and a lot of people felt like if
they lost in the first round that maybe McCarthy was out.
What what does this does this one win solidify things
(21:57):
for McCarthy moving forward. I don't think, like LaVar, the
discussion was happening inside the building that Jerry was talking
with people in the building about pulling the plug up
Mike McCarthy. I think the discussion the session, at least
I heard in NFL circles was would Jerry be so
upset if they wind up, Um, if they wind up
(22:19):
losing in the first round and it happens in ugly
fashion like it happens last last year. If all that happens,
would Jerry do a one eighty? You know? Like so,
I don't think it was ever Jerry's discussing this, Jerry's
mulling this over, Jerry's betting who's out there. I think
more than anything else, it was could Jerry do a
complete one eighty based in his age, based on how
(22:40):
long it's been since they've been to even an NFC
title game? You know? So, I don't do the conversation
was ever happening inside that building, Um and I do
think if you look at it like unbalanced, like, I
think Mike's done a pretty good job. You know. They
this year they won twelve games, and they did it
having lost their quarterback for five games, having lost their
left tackle right before the year. They move a rookie
(23:02):
from guard out to left tackle. He plays really well, um,
you know. And I think even when you look at
his coaching staff, some of the moves he's made, I mean,
to make the tough decision to fire defensive coordinator and
then bring in Dan Quinn after his first year in
Dallas was a big one, you know. So I just like,
look at the job that Mike's done over his first
three years there. Look, I was very skeptical at first,
(23:23):
but I think the job he's done over his first
three years there, if these guys weren't wearing the star
in their helmet, we probably look at it a little differently.
And I understand, like Dallas is different because you know
of the high profile nature of everything that the Cowboys do. Um,
you know. But if this was just some other team
and you take the same players and you put them there,
(23:43):
and you look at the job that Mike's done, I'd
say the way he bounced back from that first year,
the way they bounced back from an ugly playoff loss
last year, the way they handled injuries this year, the
way he stocked his coaching staff is pretty good. Albert
Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio. You can
get him on Twitter. Albert Brier, Senior NFL reporter at
the MMQB Albert, how strained is the relationship? From people
(24:05):
you've talked to? How strained is the relationship between Lamar
Jackson and the Ravens right now? You know, it's weird.
I mean, it's just like it feels like this went
from last year and I know we talked about the
contract a lot during the off season last year and
where it was like, okay, look there's just a fundamental
disagreement on the contract except itself. But there's a lot
(24:28):
of respect there, right, there's a lot of hey, like,
we know you value privacy, we value value trust, so
we're gonna keep it quiet on our end. You didn't
hear much from Lamar's camp, and it was just he
would never seem contentious. You know, it was just a
fundamental disagreement on how to do the contract, where one
side was saying we want to do a traditional quarterback contract.
(24:50):
The other side, Lamar said, I want, I believe I
deserve something in the ballpark of what Deshaun Watson got,
you know. And so I think since then, what we've
seen is like how these things tend to get maybe
a little more personal. And I don't know that there's
been any sort of backbiting inside, you know, between Lamar
(25:10):
and and and and the guys who were in the Ravens.
Doesn't seem that way. But like the injury, the handling
of the injury has been awfully awkward, you know. And
you know you have on one side the team trying
to protect this competitive advantage. On the other side, you know,
the player trying to defend himself. Um. You know, I
even think like some of the reasoning here when you
(25:30):
look at like why Lamar would want a fully good
guarantee contract plays into it because if you're a Lamar himself,
you can say, well, I just put my body on
the line for five years for you, and now you
want injury protection three years from now in the contract
I'm gonna do with you no way, you know. So
that sort of thing can kind of go over a
little bit, And so I I think at best right now,
(25:52):
this is very very awkward because he's finished two years
now in a row. Where the first three years you
could say it's risking the way they're using him. He's
not getting hurt a lot. Now the last two years
he's finished the season injured. Um, it's just a very
very complicated, awkward spot. I think they're in and I
think the biggest tell is going to be whether or
not they put the exclusive or the non exclusive tag
(26:12):
on him. The exclusive tag is gonna be I think
somewhere around forty million bucks. They put the exclusive tag
on him, then they're keeping him right like they're not.
They don't put the exclusive tag on him just just
to trade him. They put the non exclusive tag on
and that's a different story. Now you're inviting teams to
come and sign him, do an offer sheet, um. And
so I think that's gonna be sort of where the
(26:33):
rubber meets the road, where at the end of February
beginning of March, we're gonna get a very real talent
on where the Ravens stand with them are and then
you know, we go from there with three agencies starting
a couple of weeks after that, all right, I'm gonna
try to have two quick ones with the albert Is
is Lamar Jackson a Baltimore Raven next season, and I'll
follow up quickly with another question. I think so, yes,
(26:55):
I think so. I mean, I just think like when
when it comes down to it, when it comes like
nutcutting down there, like I just don't it's hard Like
I've seen a lot of teams in these situations by
hardball and then when it when it actually comes down
to it, like you know, I think what ends up
getting a lot of these teams is like, well, yeah,
maybe we want to take a stand, but then what
(27:16):
you know, I think that then what part is gonna
get them? And I think that they wind up one
way or another, hang on to them. Okay. My follow
up is this. There was news that broke about the
University of Michigan's co offensive coordinator Matt Weiss getting UH
investigated for computer crimes. I have no idea what that means,
but you, being in Ohio state alum and a super
(27:39):
Ohio State fan, I just love to get your thoughts
on national radio. I just wonder how this stuff would
be discussed if it was happening in Coloma's and not
in Arbor. You know, I don't know n c A
violations computer hacking, like like there's a hold on, hold on,
hold on the n c A violations was like Jim
(27:59):
Harbaugh bought kid a hamburger or something like, oh so
so bright, so bright he can can can Jim trest
all his wins back? Now? Then? I think a hamburger? Well,
first off, that was a little bit more rampant. And
I'm not gonna jump in on this because you know
him from Columbus or somebody, all right, I know, but
they were both. It was both about lying, right, Uh yeah,
(28:22):
I think yeah, I guess the hamburger really set them
over the edge. And the dollar burger. Yeah, I was lying,
he was lying, right, I think I think it was
lying more so than it was. I mean, in Trestless,
it was definitely if he had just if he had
just confessed to it, he would have been Okay, I
think right, it was a lied about it. Well, they
probably would have been punished because it's the n c
(28:42):
A and if you confess to something, they may want
to make sure that even though they didn't find out
about it on their own account, they need to punish
someone for it. So I'm sure that something would have happened.
I don't think it would have been as drastic as
what took place. Yeah, yeah, I mean I can remember
the n c A A like the n A I
think sank De for like vable having a dip in
on the sideline, so something they have. Yeah, I really
(29:06):
thought you were going to just kind of wildly speculate
what exactly this this computer primes could be. Do you
have any theories? Um? I mean if you have federal
investigators involved? Right, Um, I think it's you're thinking like
along the lines of I don't know, crypto gambling, those
sorts of things. That's kind of where my mind wandered.
(29:27):
But I have nothing to back that up. It's just
again wild speculation, but it comes better from you being
in a hid state. Come on, alt like, because let's
get reckless here on on a Thursday morning, Hey our
what percentage of Michigan players are cheating? Let's do that.
Let's just let's get I mean, like you think maybe
like like cracking the I mean I don't understand how
(29:48):
computers like that computer stuff works because I went to
Ohio State, so like, I don't know like maybe like
maybe they were like cracking into the Ohio state like something.
That's why I love it. Just I don't. I don't.
I don't have to. I don't have the degreed to
understanding that stuff works. So I love he just leads
into the snootiness of Michigan fans that he's a very
(30:14):
popular man in an Aubery's Albert Brier. Get him on

So somebody made some comments. Are they were asked some
questions this week in the NFL, and they made some comments,
(30:36):
and then all of a sudden, this thing happened yesterday.
We will tell you why that may have changed the
outlook of a playoff game this weekend. It's yours right
here at fs ARE. Be sure to catch live editions

the lightning strike. What are you talking about, Jesus No, no, no, sweet.
He might have, but like at the same time, you
gotta think it's coming at some point right now, I mean,
(32:05):
during the Australian Open with a live sporting event going on. Absolutely,
I mean, but maybe he's you know, a little gun
shy with the way you guys have treated it. Well,
he should be his last bet was a loser again.
I don't know why we have to name call here.
I don't know I have to. He gives awful betty advice.
I hope our our listeners knowe to fade him whatever.
(32:26):
I don't think you and I could probably criticize anybody's
gambling after our performance this past weekend. Either would just
like to point that out. I did have a bad
weekend for those two four and one. Welcome to the club.
It's two pros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,

Heart Radio app coming up a little over ten minutes
from now from the entire rack dot Com studios. Is
one quarterback in the NFL trying to get traded? Are
they trying to get traded? Are they asking out? We'll
get into that speculation here again a little over ten
minutes from now. But right now it's time for the
progressive play of the day. We will get some kickers, No,
(33:13):
we won't. We just he's uh, he's done enough good ones.
So that was Jerry Jones the Progressive Play of the
Day from Monday in which he said, no, we're not
looking at any other kickers. Brett marrs fine, he's done
a bunch of good ones. And then all of a sudden,
the news comes out on Wednesday that they've gone ahead
and signed Tristan Viscayno to the practice squad as insurance
(33:38):
quote unquote, and so the conversation about, yeah, we're good
with Brett Maher, They're not going to take any chances
here if things get a little bit dicey. It looks
like we could see maybe Tristan Biscayano if they get
to the next round and Brett Marr struggles. Again. Uh,
they've at least had that some insurance put in place.
We will know Saturday. When did they play Sunday? Saturday?
(33:59):
Sunday Sunday, Well, no, Saturday. If they bring him up
to the active roster, if they make a roster move,
they're telling you right now, if you have Maher struggles,
we were going to put in a new kicker. So
it's something to keep an eye on. I mean, the
spread in this one is balanced between three and a
half and four, San Francisco being the home favorite, but
(34:21):
it's one where that literally it can impact your pocket.
Obviously it's gonna impact the game and Dallas's chances of
getting to an NFC Championship game, which I mean, would
you say you'd have to like their chances if they
get to the NFC Championship Game of a beating Philly
and then going to the super Bowl. Yes, in fact,
in fact, I would argue the winner of this game
(34:42):
between Dallas and San Francisco is going to the super Bowl. Yeah.
I think it's fair because I think I think they're healthier.
I just the Jalen Hurts injury I think is a
little worse than than maybe Philadelphia is letting on. Yeah,
I want to see what happens after the season, when
it's all said done, if he has something done to it,
because they they initially did not make it out to
(35:04):
be that bad kind of more pain tolerance. Now it's
starting to make you think the way he at least
played a week a ten and we'll see how he
looks this week, that there's something more going on. So yeah,
Tristan Biscayano is the signing the practice squad insurance signing
for the Dallas Cowboys. And speaking of insurance, as that
is our progressive play of the day. Progressive is making
things even easier. They will help you bumble your home
(35:24):
man car insurance together so you can save on both.

by the way, lead to Lap has been doing some
digging on the situation that took place on Monday night
with Brett Maher just melting down on national television and Lee.
You're seeing some rumors out there that there could have
(35:45):
been a legitimate reason as to why he missed so
many kicks so many extra points on Monday. What are
you saying, Yeah, more than just rumors. There was a
memo put out two officials and teams as well before
the playoffs started. An emphasis that has been uh, well
emphasize is this year of removing foreign objects that place
kickers or place holders are using to place these balls.
(36:06):
It was it was emphasized more or so after week fourteen. Anyway,
after the first miss kick on the second miss kick, specifically,
a reugh officially did remove this foreign object off the
field before Brett Maher's second miss kick. Uh no excuses
for that. So what is it like a platform or
a t No, it's like a spot. Like what they
(36:27):
do is they put down a small spot and and
that's the biggest thing is because that's what the kickers
looking at. The kicker is really not looking up necessarily
for the snap. He's got his eyes fixated on that spot,
said um, But that's where his eyes are fixated, and
(36:50):
so once the holder places the ball there, he's then
going to the kick point, you know, where he's aiming
on that ball to strike. But guys have been trying
to do this for a while out where they try
to find some sort of aid to help the kickers
look at a specific spot. Some guys, you know though,
if it's close enough, they'll dig a little bit of
a divot almost so they'll try to, you know, find
(37:10):
a way of of almost putting like a leaf or
something there if they can, or some debris on the
field to put their finger on it in hopes of
than the kicker then making sure once his fan lifts
up to get the ball, his eyes are still in
that same spot. Brian Anger was using. He was clipping
off pieces of white grass and dropping the white grass there,
and the ref came over and swipe that away. But
just a piece of grass, Yeah, that that's where I like,
(37:33):
it's a little gone, a little too far, like that's
not gonna aid them that much. Other guys were having
like little foreign objects they were putting there to help
them see that spot. What are they using? Golf LaVar?
You're golfer. They use like a quarter like to put
you know, when they're making a putt. What do they
they do? Use markers? Yeah, some of them look like
uh coins, sometimes they are coins. Yeah, there you go.
(37:56):
What's your going to, Brady? What do you use to
mark your balls? That's sound of bad. Fox Sports Radio
