Albert Brier. We've got another edition of Incasia missed it

Jonas scks and you Fox Sports Radio. You're listening to
Fox Sports Radio. That's a great point. Honestly, those are
(00:41):
the good old days, right, I mean what somebody who
cares about you uses a derogatory term towards you, and
they don't really mean it. Literally your small crack, don't you?
All right? It is two pros and a cup of Joe.
Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn Jonas knocks you here.

i rack dot com the way tire buying should be.
I'll say this, I may or may not have bo
by the time this show is over, so I want
to apologize to you. I think that I might have
like done some yard work in this shirt at one point,
and you know, no, I wash it every Yeah, it
(01:45):
just you know, sometimes it's time to throw it out
when you that's when you know it's time to throw
it out when you you can't get the smell out
of it, that that that you smell. I have my
hand on the steering wheel, going, oh God. And I
know for sure I showered this morning before I came in.
(02:05):
I just uh yeah, So I'm taken a whole bunch
of young men. Um right, So I'm so used to
breathing out of my mouth that you don't have to
worry about me smelling it. It's just I'm used to
uh odor being odor resistant. Yeah. Now if I can
taste the stink from your shirt, now that's when it's
(02:27):
truly offensive. Yeah. Then then we got a little bit
of a got a problem. That's all right. But then
we got lights, all wipes and stuff like. There's there's alternatives.
I put that, you know, Berto tries to come in
here and start war, or Lee tries to detonate a bomb.
I just put that that gut name lights alt white
right on top of my my microphone, and it's ready.
You're not that good at it, though. I saw you
try to do it and it kept falling off. Yeah,
(02:49):
but I'm pretty good at it. You know, I got
that thing rigged on there. Well you've mastered it. Well,
it kind of have to. I'm the closest to the
to the action. You know. You've also got a whole
process at the coffee where it is you half coffee
is half hot hot chocolate. Sometimes I've been you know,
I've been bringing in creamer. So I've been taking it. No, no, no,
(03:13):
In fact, somebody put another one in there. There's two
in there now. No. I hope that they didn't feel
like I brought one, You brought one. Let's share them
because I don't touch yours. You know, I haven't gotten
petty enough to put um, put like permanent marker on
there and put my name on it, like, please do
not touch I'm not petty like that. I mean, if
you want to use it, use it. But I will
(03:35):
say this, if you're going to use all of it,
please just replace it. Somebody put somebody used my pumpkin spice,
which was my favorite, and it's out of season now
so I can't find another bottle of it. But they
did replace it with something else, so that's that's fine,
and it is a regular flavor. But they did replace
it nonetheless, so thank you. You see, so there is
(03:56):
still some kindness left in this world, you know, Like
it's good to see that the streets of Dublin, Ohio,
and the Midwest roots of where these fine people sometimes
grow up from these these good human beings across the
country that are listening, like the good, good Midwest has
ventured out here to the West. Coast. Now it's some
just some good, good feelings, good vibes. You replace something
(04:18):
if you take people, we'll see snobs out here. Don't
get it. Oh man, they're so passive aggressive. I hear you.
But you know what, though, I'm going to a party
this weekend. I'm going to enjoy it. Yeah. Was it
is the Grammys this week or yes, tomorrow Saturday Grammy's Yeah,
I think it is. Isn't it the Grammys this weekend?
I'm not going to the Grammys, but I'm gonna go
(04:40):
to a to a universal party after Did you ever
watch the Latin Grammys before? I have? It's like a
like a parking lot full of rocket ships just all
hanging out together. Who could outdo who? It's like, how
did that happy? Where were you hanging out? Do? Y'all
hang out in the same place? Like how did that happen? Like?
(05:02):
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa Wow? Who wants
to go to the party with you? Come on? Coop? Yeah?
You and Coop at the grad? Do you have a
plus one? It's a roller skating party too. Usher Usher's
Hocean hosting it. Dr Dre's party. I'm I'm excited. Do
(05:23):
you guys ever rollerblade? I did. I used to roller
blade to class. Bray, did you rollerblade? Yeah? But I
was a hockey I was a street hockey dude. I
roller blade hockey too when I was in high school
street rollerblade hawk. It's Pittsburgh, your Penguins, fane of the
Coho Revolution sticks I used. I used a lefty stick. Really, Yeah,
(05:49):
it's weird. I'd like use certain things. I'm lefty. You
were a Yager man, you know, he was you know,
everybody was Jock, Jock Sniffin, Mario. You know I was
a Yager fan. Yeah. I was a Paul Coffee fan too, Yeah,
I just I was. I was a fan of Pittsburgh sports,
especially hockey too. You know I'm a fan of And
(06:12):
it's a football Friday, Yeah, yeah Friday, Yeah, football Friday,
Jonas loves come on, Yeah, yeah, it is a football
(06:33):
Friday on Fox Sports Radio. And what does that mean?
I don't know. Somebody needs to tell us. Um, So
if you know what these means called one five five
five five five five five five five five, this is
the last football Friday before we have another actual football
game because this Pro Bowl whatever craft they're throwing together.
(06:55):
Just ain't cutting it, uh No. But we do have
some some camm versation about the Super Bowl and one
of the participants being the Philadelphia Eagles. So Julian Love
of the New York Giants was on NFL Network yesterday
morning and he was talking about Nick Sirianni and they
weren't all that pleased with Nick Sirianni. His just sort
(07:16):
of celebrating them beating the Giants. And he's done this
multiple times before, where he's you know, been been a
bit of a loud mouth about them winning. And what
did he say? Yeah, that's game f you and pointed
directly at the entire sideline. I'm like, I've literally never
seen a head coach act like that before my life.
(07:41):
That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen
on a sideline. It was tremendous. But Julian Love and
the Giants did not take kindly to him doing it
while they were getting blown out in the divisional matchup.
And so he tried to point out that Nick Sirianni
is simply a product of what's around him. This was
from yesterday on NFL Network. You know, he's a guy
(08:01):
who really is doing a good job because he's not
getting in the way of his team. He has an
experienced roster, uh from top to bottom offensive defense. You
see this stuff, thow like, what's your reaction as a player,
and that guy is doing that. I don't like it.
I don't like it at all. I mean, he's either
for a free ride right now, you guys can coach
this team and you can proceed. So hey, man, they said,
(08:32):
they're like mad, this dude sounds so dumb. Let's just laugh.
There's no reason for us to inject any type of
reasoning into this conversation. Stopped. It's his opinion. And by
the way, we're talking about it, so um joins. A
smart guy's a well spoken guy. So what he said,
by the way, is taken as disrespect. But he's not wrong.
(08:55):
That's a really talented team. He's wrong. That's a that's
a really talented team. They couldn't coach. The people in
there couldn't coach that team. He's wrong, he's wrong. It's
it's inappropriate. Well maybe they couldn't. We don't. We don't
know at this point. But here's what I'd say is
it's a really, really talented team. He doesn't get in
the way of his o C who might be a
(09:17):
head coaching candidate at some points soon in the future.
And Shane stikeen Gannon their DC is also interviewed for
some head coaching jobs. He's a potential head coaching candidate
in the future. There is something too, just not getting
in the way of all that. Like, as much as
people want to criticize him for it being kind of
(09:37):
disrespectful the way he's saying that, there is like something
too that's that's I'm not saying it's a coaching style,
but there's also knowing like, hey, where do I need
to interject myself? Where do I not? And I think
Nick Sirianni has done a really good job of understanding
those points, understanding what his team needs. But what's not
getting twisted. This is the most talented football team in
(09:58):
the league. That's seventeen players who are either starts in
the Pro Bowl or alternates. Now that might sound a
little different nowadays considering you know, Tyler Huntley, who's a
Pro Bowl alternate to I know, I know, but but
there's seven team came before a lot of the other
guys started opting out to go play golf or whatever
else they're doing. All right. I just think it's it's
(10:20):
funny because we can say whatever you want about his
comments about it, and people can say, oh, he's salty
about all that. Yeah, but there's the kind of some
truth to it, Like let's be real, like sometimes this
is the best thing you can do, though, is not
getting the way of a really talented, good football team,
then Jeff Saturday should be good once they build a
(10:41):
really good roster. I mean, because you just don't get
in the way. Like to me, I look at it
like this. You have to bring in the type of
coaching staff where they're an extension of you. It's a
it's a job of delegating. So if if the man
had like that team wasn't doing very well when Sirianni
(11:02):
took it over, it wasn't like and and in fact,
at the point in time that he took it over
that they were talking about if Jalen Hurts was even
going to be the right fit for the Philadelphia Eagles.
He didn't even play in the last game. Doug Peterson
played the backup to him to see what he had
in him. That's where that team was when he hold on,
(11:28):
hold on, just relax for a second. They had one
bad year. They went four and eleven, and that year
with Peterson, the three previous years they went to the playoffs,
they won a super Bowl team with Peterson. Like they
had one down year. It's not like this team was like,
oh my gosh, like will they ever be able to
come back? There was an issue with the whole hurts thing,
(11:49):
and again, who knows the story behind that, If that
was Peterson, if it was Rossman, the ownership, whatever the
case was. Some people felt like it was more for
a draft pick, because if you're gonna be a one
and eleven, you might as well, you know, try to
get even lower. And now with some of the thought
process behind it, But it wasn't like this covered was
bare for this team. They literally I think they won
(12:12):
their Division two the year before that and before they
went four and eleven. I don't have all that information
read I'm just saying, but they were bad when Peterson
was fired. Like, it's not like saying that Seriani doesn't
get in the way is a legit. It's not a
legitimate argument point. It's not because even if you have
(12:32):
the most talented team, you still have the man you
say that all the time on the show. Is your
opinion loves opinion? Yeah, of course, I'm just giving an
opinion about respect his opinion. Then I I can have
a rebuttal to his, and I can have a rebuttal
to yours, because that's what the show is all about,
his having opinions. But you also can't sit there and
always say when we have rebuttals, I can says I
(12:55):
certainly can participant. It's it's my prerogative to have type
of comeback. I don't. I don't know what y'all's relationship
is and why you're defending them. I mean I'm not.
I'm just I'm defending saying he wasn't wrong. We're just
we're taking the one part where he's like, oh, y'all
could have coached them, which I would say that I'm
with you on that, Like it's it's that they obviously
(13:17):
can't coach. This team couldn't either. All I know is this,
I'm not in for diminishing or downgrading what somebody's job is. Yeah,
well that it did. I mean the comments is what
it did. So a head coach gets assistant coaches to
do their job like you don't say, hey, great job
(13:41):
for being a really good good dad. Like when you're
a good head coach, your assistant coaches are supposed to
be what they're supposed to be. So if you don't
get in the way of your o C, it's a
it's more of an indictment to say you're getting in
the way of your o C versus saying that you
have a really good o C and you let EUROC coach.
(14:01):
That's all I'm saying. And if you have a talented team,
you have to put that talented team together. And the
year Sirianni came in, the team was not successful the
year before he came in, and he made the team better.
When he came in, they had a good year. Jalen
Hurts emerged and developed, and then they had a really
really good year this past year. That's all I'm saying.
(14:23):
And I don't I think Nick Sirianni has brought a culture,
an attitude, a an approach that is fitting up not
only that team, it's fitting of that city. And that's
my opinion. That's all I'm not I'm not trying to
take I would just say I think there was a
foundation that was already there, and I think the best
thing he did was say I don't need to do
(14:45):
a whole lot. I just need to come in here,
take what's here, take the coaches that I have, and
let them do their thing, and then we can put
in Hurts who. I mean, that was the biggest change, right,
Jillen Hurts a quarterback as opposed to Carson Wentz, who
that final year where they struggled, that was more of
the issue. You know that Peterson maybe had lost in
(15:05):
the locker room too because of Carson Wentz. And however
that was constructed and handled, and then people made a
big deal about the Week seventeen game that year where
he end up playing. I'm trying to think he was
who was the kid out of Indiana. I think as
they ended up, they ended up plan in the quarterback.
But that's like one of those deals where then in
the season you've got a bad record, you're almost just
trying to make sure you can get a better draft position.
(15:27):
Which give give Howe Roseman credit because a lot of
people have butted heads with him that have been head
coaches going back to Chip Kelly, Doug Peterson, but he's
ultimately built one of the most talented rosters the most
right now in the NFL. So again, I think you're
misunderstanding what I'm saying. What he said about anyone coaching
this room, yeah that's not right, But what he's saying about, well,
(15:49):
this is a team that you don't want to get
in the way of it. It's also true, like we
tend to just pick and choose what we want to
pick at and then and then argue about it. But
the reality is, like this is the most talent the team.
This wasn't seemed that you really didn't have to come
in and do a complete rebuild, Like it had some
good bare bones to it. And that's I think one
of the reasons why they're able to have some success.
(16:10):
And I just I kind of see it differently, But like,
this is what we're talking about just because of the
comedy made at the end, not because the stuff he
said at the beginning. Listen, I don't disagree with your opinion, Q,
I really don't. But he he was salty, Like I'm
not gonna say it was bitter. I'm not gonna say
anything like that, Like where was something like totally derogatory,
(16:32):
but it sounded like a salty response I mean, can
are you not saying that it's just this is more
human being critical or being subjective of of the scenario
that that Sirian he's in, or was there a little
bit of Salty's there was there being I think he's
being objective to looking at the roster, and many people
what the Colts said. Right from the Colts players were saying, maam,
(16:54):
what are we all doing hanging run or looking at
the Pro Bowl like like what are we doing right now?
Like that's an example of its seam. That was a
talented team, the Colts, and they're like, why are we
in the playoffs? Like why are we still playing? First off?
I think you should want that sort of rival over
tryin a division opponent, which is good to hear, but
but more it was the final comment to me, I
didn't have an issue with anything he's set up until
(17:15):
that point. It's status quo for a division rival and
a status quot for a guy that played against him
twice this year or three times in the playoffs. If
you include that and then and looking at it, you're going, okay,
like there's some truth to what he's saying, but but
it's it's no different than when a quarterback it's called
a game manager. Everyone's like, oh, that's that's disrespectful. The
guys manager. He doesn't have to do that much. It's like,
(17:36):
well he's managing pretty damn well one that must be
really talented. It's got the same thing like I always
look at that. People have a negative connotation to it.
But with head coaching, for some reason, like we tend
to act like disrespect it is what is like, that's
that's part of it too. Like you think Phil Jackson
got in the way of Michael Jordan's no just man
(17:58):
him and he had to put him in spots. It
is going to be able to I think. I think
I think Nick sirian is doing the exact same thing
with this team. I also think the star here is
Howie Roseman. Like what he's done with that team, Nick
Sirianni and this thing, Julian Love can say, well, he's
getting a free ride. I don't necessarily agree. I think
Sirianni deserves some credit for what's happened there, But Howie Roseman,
(18:20):
there's only seven players left from that super Bowl team.
It's almost a complete rebuild, and that was seen so
in five six years They're back in the Super Bowl
with a vast majority of that team being completely great statistic.
You just threw out that that was pretty good. It's
what I got. How many of them were starters? All seven? Um,
(18:40):
don't have that on my bat. I didn't want to
put that. Can take that up. I thought you might
have had the majority of them. There's there's three offensive
lineman Brandon Graham, who also wasn't happy about the comments
from Julian Love, and then a couple others and then, um, god,
who's the kid? Why am I blanket on the kicker? Uh?
(19:03):
Flex your Brandon Graham. There's actually a decent amount if
you go back to one of the last seasons two
that Peterson was there. But yeah, Jake Elliott, j Listen, Tomato, Tomato.
The Eagles are they were, I mean, they're the best
team in the NFL right now. I mean that's that's
they were the best team record wise during the course
(19:23):
of the season. I believe they ended up with the
best record. Yeah. Yeah, And I mean they're they're I
mean they're good, like they're good and and and and
they're so good that I think they're going to beat
the breaks off of Kansas City. I really do. I
think they're gonna beat them up. But with that being said,
I will go back and I will say that Julian
(19:46):
loves saying what he said certainly is it does show
the feelings that and I played for the Giants. I know,
I know what the Giants feel about the Eagles. I
know what the Eagles feel about the Giants. They do
not like each other in some cases and some circles
they got swept and some circles. Some would say that
(20:06):
rivalry is bigger than the Eagles Cowboys or the Giants Cowboys.
I don't think it's out of line to say that
Julian loves comments deserve a suspension. I'm thinking at least
two games. I mean, if he wants to accept one,
I'd be okay with that. Fine John or something like that.
Like his comments or the laughter after the comments. The
(20:27):
laughter was a great that also deserves the suspension. Laughter
was horrible. Can we hear that part of it again?
It was horrible. It really was horrible. I mean, he's
either for a free ride right now. You guys can
coach this team and you can, oh, oh what do
(20:51):
you would you would berto you would know exactly who
he is. Hey. By the way, we are brought to
you by Progressive Insurance. Progressive makes bundling easy. Get a
multi policy discount by combining your motorcycle, RV, boat, a
TV and more all your protection in one place. Bundle
and save at Progressive dot com itist team and is too.
(21:14):
Can we put that next to the Russell Wilson laugh
and just do uh like a laugh off that? Alright,
so we are gonna we are gonna take you all
the way up until night m Eastern type six o'clock Pacific.
But coming up next though, you've got somebody in the
NFL who apparently is not gonna play nice anymore with
their current team. You'll hear from him right here on
(21:35):
Fox Moore Radio. Be sure to catch live editions of
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn,
LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week days at six am
Eastern three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
I Heart Radio. We should have played that coming into
(21:55):
the show. Who knows, maybe that would be one of
our new intro songs. Yeah, come on, this is that
moss pit music right here? Hell yeah, Two Pros and
a couple of radio Layton Brady Quinns, Jonus knocks with
(22:17):
the here you can hang out with us as always
on the I Heart Radio apps. So coming up here
in just a couple of moments from now, there's somebody
in the NFL that apparently is refusing to play nice
with his current team. Will tell you who that is
right right now on Fox Sports Radio. But first let's
tell me on Stamps dot Com because they've teamed up
with the Post Office, gets you huge billion and shipping discouncept.
It's a new year no brainer. Saves serious money today
(22:38):
with Stamps dot Com ust code two pros for a
four week trial, free postage and a free scale Stamps
dot Com code to pros. So Derek Carr Roberto's favorite
quarterback in the history of the Radar organization, and he's
got him above some of the luminaries like you know,
Jeff Hoss Statler and Jay Schrader, Rich Gannon, you know
(23:04):
some of those some of those great Jeff George, some
of those great Raiders quarterbacks. You've got Derek Carr above
all those guys. Correct, Bert, Oh, that's uh factual? Or
now maybe over j straderum So there's that. But Derek
Carr is in an interesting spot because clearly the Raiders
don't want him there anymore. He's at this lame Pro
(23:26):
Bowl uh competition. He wins the passing Precision Challenge or
whatever the hell they're calling it there now, And he
was interviewed by Ryan Clark afterwards of ESPN and this
is outsounded. Listen, you throw touch it down passes in
Vegas before you've been on fire? Have you ever been
that hot in Las Vegas? Not that hot? It's probably
(23:49):
why I'm going somewhere else. So he's taking a little
bigg and then his facial expression after he said it, yeah,
it's kind of hard ree. Then the conversation turned to
what is the plan moving forward because he's got this
February fifteen the deadline to where he's doing a lot
of money and the Raiders have to make a decision
(24:11):
and and will they get a trade done by then
or is he either potentially being released, etcetera, etcetera. Here
was Car talking about his current status with the team. Well,
I have a no trade calls, you know, and there's
a date that certain money is guaranteed or I'm a
free agent. So I'll just be honest about the whole thing.
Like you know, there has been conversations with you know, uh,
you know, Dave and my my agent and me, and
(24:32):
we'll figure that out. But for me, it's I'm just
being patient. You know. I'm gonna do what's best for myself.
I'm gonna do it's best for my family, and I
don't care about what the optics are or anything like that.
I can pick this or do that. I can do it.
It's kind of fun to be able to do whatever
you want for once, you know. Uh. And so I'm
just gonna be patient and I'm not trying to hurt anybody,
not trying to get by on anything. I'm just gonna
do the right thing for me and my family at
(24:53):
the end of the Day's yeah, And he's not gonna
help out the Raiders at all. So that's what you get, Burdough.
That's not what he said. See, that's like what happened
in the first segment. He can extend what he said.
He can extend the deadline past February fifty. He said
he's not trying to get over on anything anybody like,
He's just waiting for what's best for him. I also
(25:14):
didn't take the first comment to be a shot at
the Raiders. It was like, yeah, it was himself. Yeah,
so I took I agree. I don't. I don't know why.
I like Jonas. Did you take it different? Yeah? I did?
How did you take it? I took it, And let's
go back and listen to the clip. I don't know.
I don't know how you took that any different. Listen,
you thrown touch down passes in Vegas before, you've been
(25:36):
on fire? Have you ever been that hot in Las Vegas?
Not that hot? It's probably why I'm going somewhere else.
How did you check that? If I said that, I'd
be fine ten dollars. That was a passive aggressive shot
at the Raiders. I don't know that somewhere else because
he's never been that hot. Yeah. Yeah, you guys just
started as good at reading people like I am. You
(25:57):
might be right now. I mean, there could aggressive. I
mean you are passive aggressive at times. Ten dollars, so
you might understand a little better. I've got didn't tell
in the situation, you might understand a little better. I
thought I thought he was taking a shot at itself.
If I was, if I had thrown the ball better
it gotten not hot, I'd still be uh a raider.
(26:19):
You know, he come at least he comes off as
that well point being he's not going to be a
raider anymore. So what the hell are you doing? He's
in three salary and um, the seven point five million
of salary becomes fully guaranteed the day after Valentine's Day.
So that's where the question is, is someone willing to
(26:42):
pay He's gonna make thirty two point nine this upcoming
season plus that seven point five or something about roughly
over forty million dollars? Is someone who's gonna be willing
to take that on? Or or other raiders going to
in lieu of a trade right like, they might have
to say, we're willing to guarantee this because we've got
(27:02):
a trade partner who's willing to pay it, or we'll
pay a portion of it in exchange back for whatever
draft picks we're looking for. That's typically how these conversations go.
I mean, everything is negotiable. And even though it's a
big number that guarantees, someone might look at that and say, well, hell,
it's gonna be less than a lot of quarterbacks are making.
We feel like he's a starter quality quarterback. We're willing
trade for that right now. I mean, Wody Johnson's already
(27:25):
put it out there that sky's the limit for whoever,
whatever veteran they bring in. So that forty million for
Derek Carr is gonna be at least ten million less
than what you're gonna have to pay Aaron Rodgers, maybe more.
I'm curious as to being this close. Isn't that next week?
Is that next week? Super Bowl? Super Bowl? It's it's
(27:49):
twelve days, twelve days. I'm just and listen, deals get
done quick, right, I mean it's not like you need like,
oh my gosh, we're at twelve days, it's not going
to be able to get done. Deals get done very quickly,
like generally speaking, they get done pretty last minute. Um.
I just I'm just curious when you had that type
(28:09):
of intail knowing that there's a no trade clause, like
you still have to maintain a relationship with Car on this,
because Car could be like, no, I don't want to
do it to all of them, right, and then what
then they have to cut him? Now, if they cut
him that bonus that's due to him, they gotta pay
they have to pay a portion of it, or or
(28:30):
is it the cut before that if they cut him
before to day. See that, So it's like one of
those roster final roster spot bonus is type deals. Okay,
so how much? How much do they have to pay
him if they have to cut him nothing, The only
thing that would count against them is five point six
million against their dead cat. That's a lot. That's all.
In fact, that they made it a post shut in
(28:50):
one designation, they could cut that number in half over
to over the next two years. They would they would
like more time to be able to get a trade
done and get something in return. Well, I'll say this,
if it's a post June. If it's a post June designation,
then they got to keep him. They don't have to
keep him till June. They don't have to keep him.
(29:11):
That's not how it works. So it's kind of like
a signing bonus where if I'm signing you to a
contract LaVar, and I want to pay you sixty million
dollar sign him us over five years. Right, you get
that money up front, but for the accounting purposes of it, right,
we're gonna pay you twelve million each of those years. Yeah,
and then that that that's the number that counts. It's
(29:32):
the salary cap, not the sixty million that we're providing
you right up front. So it's it's very similar to
the dead cap hit. The money has been paid out,
that's why it's dead cap. So it's already been paid
out to him. Now they just spread it over the
next two years. Get it. Well, then they're gonna have
to cut him. They're gonna have to cut him. And
then no, no, no, let me ask you this, when
(29:53):
when you cut if they when they cut him, is
their waivers involved in this type of cutting? Doesn't have
to clear waiver? I don't. I don't. I don't believe so,
because at that point he yeah, you want to be
subject to it. That's usually off like the rookie deal.
But here's the interesting thing, because Jonas just said some
when you do a deal like this, clearly Derek Carr
(30:13):
and his crew knew what they were doing. That's why
they picked the date they did like they had like
this is actually really smart on his part because now
he actually gets a jump on free agent as smart
as hell because they foresaw, like, hey, guess what, the
super Bowl is probably gonna move back a week. But
if we can do this two weeks prior to three
(30:35):
weeks prior to free agency started or the new league
year starting of the NFL, like someone's gonna get a
first knock crack at you to be able to sign
you if you're a free agent to a big deal
or trade for you before you have to worry about
all the other stuff that goes on, which March hits
and the new league gear starts. So I actually love
this for you know, his agent, for himself as far
(30:58):
as the timeline, because it horses the team to have
to make a quick decision. And I think in the end,
like he's not gonna you know, he's he's he's gonna
be the one that benefits from it ultimately, because even
if let's say, for example, you know he's scheduled to
make what thirty two point nine this year in base salary,
he's gonna get the least that in a signing bonus.
(31:18):
I don't know what he's gonna make in the salaries
average annual value, but but signing with a new team,
he'll easily get thirty two million up Like he's probably
gonna get double that, if not more. If he gets released.
So this is a great set up as far as
the timing of these mechanisms and when they kick in,
I would think other other agents and players are gonna
(31:40):
try to do this, and every other teams will be
like not a chance, Like We're never gonna do a
window like that again. Two Pros and a Cup of

(33:09):
I don't know if you know that, not Brady, but
you have the octaves of like that seventies sort of
like that. I don't know if it's disco, it's just
considered disco. Uh, it's fun. Yeah, like you have that
seventies funk octave range in you. I don't know if
you know that or not very good at its. Guiltiest
(33:30):
confession is like when I was probably in junior high.
That's when like your whole like in sync, Backstreet Boys, degrees,
those bands became famous, and I used to be like
this probably goes back to our opening conversation, Like I
was just like, man, I I could be like a
(33:51):
backup vocalist, you know, I just put me in the
back somewhere a lot a few dance moves. I could
just stand back there and trying to be a part
of the group. You know. I'll take this right now.
People people, Oh, man, come on, man, he had a
transparent moment, he was vulnerable. Come on meg, Yeah, yeah,
that's true. Think about think about the guy, those guys
(34:16):
back then and that lifestyle. Oh god, like you can't
really hate on that is that because he's not thinking
about that lifestyle. Back really bands period, whether we're black
or internationally or other. You didn't have to write. All
(34:37):
you had to do was show up any same songs
over and over again. Didn't have to come up with
any music. You just showed up to recording studio. And
they didn't have to dance that well either. The Backstreet
Boys couldn't dance. The worst you dance, the better it was.
It like made you like it ushered in like the
(34:59):
Cornball Yeah, you know the Cornball era where it was like,
oh my gosh, they suck at dance and you made
so cool. He made so much money that people just went, well,
I guess that's how you do it. I guess that's
the dance. You couldn't be mad at him because they
could sing like you know, we were saying you didn't
help sing that well. A couple of all. That's but
(35:19):
that's every that's every group. That's what That's what I'm saying.
I'm not trying to be that guy. I was just
trying to be the guy you are, Michael Bivens. You know,
I was saying it was a joyful need to vote.
But they probably individual all pretty good voices. But I'll
say this that Backstreet Boys song Backstreets Back, all right,
that is a banger and a half. And I don't
(35:40):
I don't care who is listening. If you want to
tell me everything, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean everybody knows
the words. You can down down down down down down
down down. I mean, even if you didn't like the song,
you know the song, that's that's for sure. It was
(36:02):
all the way it scales down. Oh my god, I'm
back again. Oh my god, Oh my god, Oh my gosh,
oh my god. But that was the first time. Like
when they came back, when they came back with that song,
you were like, oh, they're trying to dance now, because
because in Sink had gotten so big and surpassed them,
they were like, well, we gotta move like those guys move.
(36:24):
It was just like that quite, wasn't that the one
where they were doing almost like the thriller move where
they had hands that is so good. They clearly had
choreo choreographers. Choreographers you know for certain man, they all
look like back backup dancers. You know what it seemed like.
Doesn't Timberly carried in sync though, of course he did.
(36:48):
What do those guys care for? Right? Okay? They carry
us all you want? Get me paid by the way
it is you pros in a cup of jail. Fox
