stream us live every day on the I Heart Radio
app by searching f s R. You're listening to Fox
Sports Radio. I drew first blood out and here what
they called me, Rambo Lamari look lighter man good. Somebody's
(00:41):
got his uh baked the loafs, you know what I mean,
somebody's somebody's got to provide. I'll tell you what. The
labs are very clean right now. But I drew first
blood today. This coffee is brutal. That's bad. That's rocket
(01:01):
fuel for real. Yeah, I got the Colombian kind. This
is that straight from a toilet and medinet. You get
that leave And I didn't realize that's what you wrote
on there. Yeah, you did write it on there on there.
It was hard because it's got the wavy the way
it looks. It looks kind of artsy though. It's kind
of like our Burt Reynold's hotel. Yeah, I didn't realize
(01:23):
what I was looking at un till day too. I
picked my eyes up. I was like, what the dude,
I was moving stuff my room, like creating a different,
whole different layout. So, fellow Burt Reynolds, that guy. Impressive numbers.
Impressive numbers, just saying you're with Burt Reynolds. No, just
(01:45):
a big fan of the Cannonball Run. Oh that's it.
I thought you're a big fan of It's a classic movie.
You know, Cannonball Runs a great movie. Smokey and the bandit. Yeah,
I mean listen, and you know what they probably went
to in the Cannonball Run like this is probably some
of these scenes that were not included which should have
been included. They probably went to ti Iraq, you know.
And we're bringing this show to you alive from the
(02:06):
Tirac Studios. Tirac dot com will help you get there
and unmatched selection, fast free shipping, Free road has a
protection and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirac dot com
the way tire buying should be. So you know who
else was in the Cannonball run. Terry Bradshaw remember that,
Remember that Terry Bradshaw was in the Cannonball Run. And
Terry Bradshaw was also speaking with nine two five in
(02:30):
Denver about Russell Wilson and uh, well he had this
to say, your coquarter mad at him? Why why come up?
We all saw this coming? When did you know? When?
Did you? Well? I knew maybe perhaps uh Sean knew him.
(02:54):
We drank beer, he drank my whiskey, and uh we
would talk and either talk and talk and talk, and
I'd say, well, you can't go to Charlotte, that's a
NFC South. Uh you can't go to Houston. I don't
have a quarterback down there. You don't want to be
in Houston. Uh Where else could you have gone? Arizola? Arizona?
(03:16):
That quarterback? You didn't want to work with that quarterback?
I don't think so. But you know what, that's all
he's got. Well he's got no choice. But I'll tell
you one thing, he'll get the most out of him.
(03:40):
So they're going to the isolation. You know who that is.
That's my guy, Vick Lampardy, that's my guy. Party. Yeah,
out there in Deevor. I'm covering the NFL for a
thirty something forever. He does a tremendous job him my clist,
my cliss is a great job falling the team. But
that's okay. So so let me throw this out to
you guys as a conspiracy theory. Okay, I mean we
(04:01):
need the music, that's true, that's what we need with
the unsolved mysteries. Do we get it though? For a
conspiracy theory with another a f C West team right there,
Robert Stack through the fog on, so does Burt Reynolds.
But it's not anything just cowboy hat. So we heard
(04:24):
Sean Payton right out the gate set the tone and
talk about how there's not gonna be people who are
outside the organization coming in as far as Russell Wilson's team,
there's not gonna be in office and all that stuff.
Out the gate, he's saying that, making a statement to
the public. Putting out there. We then hear Terry Bradshaw
(04:45):
say this now, I'll remind you guys too, Like those
guys were all close. They worked together for this past year,
this past season, and one of the things that I
think I took away from all of this is Sean
Payton was even kind of leaving you some some bread crumbs,
like like two weeks Befrior, he was wearing an orange
(05:07):
tie and someone had asked him, Hey, was that maybe
prophetic of what was gonna happen. He's like, yeah, it was.
There was an intent behind that. He's a very calculated guy.
How do you kind of put it out there that
maybe you know you're taking this job, but you're not
all about the guy who's currently there. You let other
people do it for you. Uh, that is I'm just saying,
(05:30):
like what he's savvy enough to be able to say.
And and by the way, we all know Terry, Terry's
he's a right, he's awesome, one of the best in television.
We all know people. If Terry had said it two
people would be like, well, it's Terry, come on, it's
Terry Bratch Like he says this crazy stuff all the time,
but maybe this time, like there's a little bit of hey, Terry,
Wayne help me out with somebody he knew like that.
(05:52):
That was a direct conversation that they had had, and
they sounded like they had it a couple of different man.
He established the fact that he drinks his whiskey. And
when you're drinking whiskey, somebody's whiskey that made it. And
there there in your colleagues, you're going to talk like
he put that light like basically, if you deciphered and
(06:13):
read between the lines, he said, Russ stinks, you stink,
like think about it, like, but he's got no choice,
like and and and the biggest indictment of the whole
thing what Skyler Murray like, Hey, I won't work with him.
(06:33):
So so Russ Russ is considerably the least of the
evils of the ones you don't want to work with,
which is great. That's how Terry Pratt so I put it.
It was weird how Terry kind of was like, oh,
you know, you go in the NFC South, you wanna
go to Carolina? Like I was like, why doesn't that
division seem right for the taking off Tom Brady's retired,
you have to worry about Tampa. Maybe he was looking
(06:54):
at maybe it wasn't an option because maybe do a
deal with an NFC out team, But it does. This
is what I wonder. I wonder Sean Payton part of
what the reason why he finally accepted the job and
took the gig. Is he needed an understanding from new ownership,
who could get rid of us, who didn't give Russ
(07:15):
this contract? Hey, I need to know if this is
a bag of crap in year one, that that we
can wash our hands and washing. I believe I said
that before. I believe I said, Sean, Sean Payton coming
into Denver, you can't you can't be married to the
situation of I have to make it work with Russell Wilson.
(07:35):
You can't be married to that. This is this is
a golden opportunity for for Sean Payton because it's not
a bad team. They just weren't cohesive. It was a
very they went in the opposite direction of being a
cohesive team. Their defense was holding up for him all
year long, and their offense terribly underperformed. So if you're
(07:59):
looking at it for a very critical perspective, what is
the one element and the one factor that I kept
coming up and was kept and continued to be the
main focal point of why this team performed so poorly
is your quarterback? Is your quarterback? And the way the
games were managed and and I fell on the head
coach as well. So those one one of those elements
(08:21):
is still there. And I'm totally with you on that,
like why not put it out there, like, hey, listen there,
there will be no office there, your your your quarterback
coach will not be in here, your staff will not
be in here. And I needed to know before I'm
coming that if this doesn't go right, you're not basing
(08:42):
my job security off of the success or failures of
one Russell Wilson. To further your point on at least,
I think the league perception of what the issue was
there in Denver. Does Nathaniel Hackett get an O C
job right away for a team that needs not only
needed someone to come in, but need someone to come
in fix Zach Wilson, you know, be able to help
(09:04):
them offensively, because that's the one thing they need there
in New York. It's not their defense, it was their
offensive issues. And I think if there was a perception
that Nathaniel Hackett was that bad as an offensive coordinator,
he's not going to come up that's a great point.
But he gets picked up like great point, So it's
got to be us. I think that's has got to
(09:24):
be right. And and I know some people who know
Nathaniel Hackett, and there was kind of that conversation of
when we get time, we'll talk about all the stuff
that went on. And so clearly there's more to the
story there. And I've heard some different things too, you know,
from Denver. But I just think Sean Payton is as
calculated and as savvy as they come. And I think,
(09:45):
you know, he's already using the media as a tool
to top his head off, well off with his head,
but but to make a statement and to kind of
make sure that everyone in Denver knows who's the head coach,
who's running that building, and and where the players reside,
and and that no one's gonna be viewed. We talked
(10:06):
about this one yesterday, like you're not gonna view you know,
Russell different from anyone else in this roster. That's it.
Thank you, russ I don't know what's so funny Ross.
Your career could be in jeopardy hair Pale I love, so,
I don't know what. But at least he's got Sierra.
They might make it racial, you know what I mean,
I might you know, that might come back on me.
My apologies. I get my my apology out already, all right.
(10:29):
My apologies were saying off with your head? Okay? Can
I also ask this though? When Terry bradch Has says
that was a figure of speech, he kind of had.
You know, it was in a child's book. You know.
The queen used to stay off with it. It wasn't
this Queen of of the hearts? Quit as someone? Yeah,
and Alice in Wonderland, didn't she stay off with their head?
(10:49):
Queen of Hearts? Wasn't she the Queen of hard It is?
But it's also and I believe in also Wonderland. Huh, bro,
you didn't really no, no, if it wasn't the altar
two is I wasn't interesting? Come on? What what was
your pom? Sorry? Pumping iron? That's a great movie. I
mean we're talking about great flames. But again, yes, well
(11:13):
my lemon legs like all my arms like legs, my
legs like people? Is that that quote? Remember that they're
smoking weed and they were just just squatting like six D.
They'll be Arnold Schwarzenegger in the eighties. I mean, honestly,
try being his nanny. Oh god, what just happy Father's Day?
(11:40):
What I can't but point being, if you bring it
back to Sean payton Um when Terry Bradshaw says, When
Terry Bradshaw says, those were the only options for him,
Like he couldn't have just waited another year, Like the
Cowboy Shop will but up if they're not. If they
(12:01):
fall short this year, that's gonna open up. Same with
the charges. So why was there the rush to want
to take one of these jobs if these weren't ideal situations? See,
I think Dallas is set up for dan Quinn to
take over, and with especially with them elevating because Brian
Schottenheimer was already there as an analyst, them elevating him. No, See,
even though we know McCarthy is calling the plays. I
(12:23):
think it sets up perfectly now for who's the scapegoat.
They still really can't move on from Dak so it's
gonna be McCarthy. And then you've got an experienced head
coach who comes in and dan Quinn. They love him,
the defense has been great. He gives them a shot
to see what he's able to do in that role.
Probably of a personality. Yeah, and you allow Brian Schottenheimer
(12:45):
then to call plays. He's done it forever. And I
know there's Dallas Cowboys fans who you know make question
whether or not he'll be a good play caller. Um,
that's up to their opinion, but it sets up to
be that for Dallas. I think if things don't go
well early on this season with Mike McCarthy, next seas, no,
if you really think about it, if you look at
(13:05):
it from a critical I any job that may come
available next year is not going to be as attractive
as Denver if you really think about it, Because if
you're able, if indeed what we spoke about is true,
where he has the autonomy to be able to handle
the quarterback position away that he wants to, it's a
hell of a that's a that's a hell of a
(13:26):
landing spot. Yeah. Well in the ownership group too, right,
I mean you've got you've got resources, and it's a
great that's a great network play right beyond football. That's
a hell of a network play if you have success,
and what teams you say on the hot seats starting
the next season. Obviously, I think Dallas always gonna be dialing.
I mean Tampa Bay you could probably say with top
bowls if they don't do well, Tampa Bay, I think
(13:48):
you sell in the Saints, you can say the Saints. Um,
maybe you look at Atlantic to is one's in Atlanta,
the Jets. That's a good one. Although that that feels
like it would be Salah and Joe Douglas would be out.
How many how many Chargers? The Chargers are going to
be one? I mean the Texans just because it's another year,
(14:11):
you know, I wouldn't say the Texas to Cleveland. Yeah, Cleveland, definitely.
He's on his last leg and they can't move on
from lots of it's too much guaranteed tied up into him.
So he's on his That's an interest. That's a curious
one because who would want that? Who would want that job?
So all right, then keep going because there's still more.
(14:32):
There are more. I would say Washington. Did we say Washington?
The commanders? I don't know that Washington. I don't know
that he would be on the I don't think it's
the commandos. Like we've we've consistently called clean that up
with the podcast. I said, commanders, I want to apologize
to that one. Commandos. Can you just dub that over
(14:52):
commandos real quick? Say commandos will be quiet? Three two one?
What about the Washington command knows? So there you go,
wet we cut that we get splice that. If we
can get that done, then appreciate it. That's that's forty
three million dollar, you know. That's how much is this yacht?
(15:16):
By the way, Dan Snyder millions? Pretty you have a yacht?
How much I would not buy a yacht. I've always
said to people, if there's like one thing that I
think is most valued is like rich people stuff, it's
private plants, like that's that's what I feel like when
you know you made it. Let's go live to our
on yacht's insider lead to laugh. One d and eighty
(15:41):
million dollars for the yacht. How big is it get
Let's get the deeds ninety three, which is about three
five ft. Holy Why is the yacht more expensive than
the house? The lady s yacht? Think about this. If
it costs a hundred and eighty million, think about what
the maintenance of that base? Say that ten percent a
(16:02):
year ten percent a year maintenance. Yeah, you have a
full time crew that lives on it. They're constantly doing
stuff that they have to have your docking, I mean
an ocean. The stuff that goes wrong expensive. My buddies
and I bought a pontoon boat chipped in like five
hundred bucks each, five of us. We called it pontoons
(16:24):
are dope, but they're awesome. But we called it the
floating Coffin because it was just a disaster and we
tried to keep it up as much as we could,
and eventually it just wasn't work. I was about to
get a pontoon boat and I ended up moving to
l A and that was only There's boats are probably
like the least making terrible power engine on that. I
(16:47):
mean it topped out at eighteen miles. The one I
was looking at was souped up. Yeah, it was badass,
I mean it was bad. Not the one would get though.
I don't know. His is like you don't want to
take a you know, because of blue lights. Well, and
I need a squat rack there as well too, because
it doesn't matter where I listen. You guys saw my
power cleans, Yeah, you gotta you gotta get down a
(17:09):
little look more like a hand clean. Yeah, it did
look like a hank clean. Power clans with the floor, buddy, Yeah, responsible,
have you figured out a joke? By the way, for
Tom Cruise Calamari, we gave you La La La la la.
I don't know, la la la. I don't know. I
don't know what you want ice creve, la la la.
(17:31):
I don't know why I've been tasked with that, Like
why is that's your thing? I mean, it's your thing.
The visual was sitting on a street curve though, is
the funniest part of it all. It's that's like the
one group that you actually go after that. I'm always
worried about your little ras. It's a joke. Come on,
what I'm saying, Like if you go after that group
and you you feel like there's no repercussion a little true?
(17:55):
First of all, Like horse jockey jokes are different. Why okay,
what you're you're writing a stupid animals? Horses are very
smart talking about they let dwarfs ride on their back
in circles, and and then what's their prize? They get
a bouquet of roses that somebody bought. It like a
(18:16):
safe way to pretend they don't get any of that money.
They get the money. What do you mean by study
it out? Are you being serious? What happened? Why is
your facing like twitching like that? Why do you want
to but try to keep the smile off your face.
What happens. Yeah, I'll put it this way for you
(18:38):
that you understand. They look at that pepper mill as
a seat. You know, it's usually no jockey's no good
jockey's being there. Are like, hey, man, you better winter
Lucy's way before you. That looks terrible. You look like
the charger's security guard. That looks terrible. We gotta win.
(18:59):
I'm gonna get the money. You can get the girl. Really,
we're really kicked out. Who's the king? Let's go the
Kenner engineer to apologize, on to apologize ken Things are
off the rails here. Oh man, By the way, you're
(19:19):
still over paying for a razor in this economy, it's gross.
With Dollar Shave Club, you can get a top shelf shape,
but a regular shelf price. Dollar Shave Club is available
at a store near you in the men's razor aisle.
That's it. That's the ad. Alright, it's coming up next.

has given us a timeline on a decision for their
organization and from one of the great characters in the league,
(21:05):
we'll get into that for you again a couple of
moments from now here on Fox Sports Radio. Well, don't

(21:26):
Com Code two pros. So I know you guys were
thinking to yourselves. Stamps and one of the Colts going
to make an announcement on their head coach in the
hour now right, Yeah, any minute in the hour. Well,
Jim er Say sent out the following tweet. We set
in as an organization, the coaching search would be an
(21:47):
open minded and a thorough process, and the final decision
would be strictly based on what is best for our
franchises success and best for our fans of Colts Nation. Drumroll, please,
final decision coming in days, not ours. So we got
a little bit longer to go here. Who was the
last person they brought in for an interview. Uh, Jim Mora,
(22:09):
I don't know. Stupid they brought in Jim Morris. We
did do what we didn't do? Did playoffs? I don't,
I don't. I don't understand. It's gonna be Jeff Saturday.
What are we doing this? Well, that's why I'm confused.
I haven't. I mean, obviously the Cardinals have been a
(22:31):
little bit more transparent with theirs. Right, they have Kafka right,
my those for the Giants, lou Anda Rumo d C
for the Cincinnati Bengals, and then Brian Flores, who was
a defensive system with the Steelers who's now opted to
instead take the Viking Shop, which I did hear a
little behind the scenes about that decision. So apparently the
(22:53):
order of which they were bringing in those candidates in
Arizona floors was third, and the powers that be that
helped negotiate those sorts of things. I thought there, that's
kind of the running on the wall. If you're bringing
guys back for a second round of interviews, your first
guy you bring in is most likely the guy you
are highest on, and so you don't want to be
(23:14):
sitting there waiting and have them pick another guy before
you get a chance to go back in. And so
their thought was strike by the iron is hot, and
go take a good DC job, fence coordinator job in
Minnesota to get back into that spot, which I do
think they I mean, like any improvements better the foot
there with this fashion, the vikings are awful. So you
even if you're in the you know, bottom half of
the league, your sixteen seventeen the league, that's a dramatic improvement.
(23:37):
So it looks good, Go get a head coaching job
the following year. And so now you got the Cardinals
basically looking between Calf and Louie and Rumo and who's
Indianapolis looking at at I mean it serious, seriously, like
we haven't heard much of anything, and just it feels
like it's gonna be Jeff Saturday. It's just they're they're
waiting at this point to make that announcement of that
decision day is not ours. Gotta be specific, you know,
(24:00):
I t I teach this to my young bucks that
that are making making their way head way and and
playing sports and stuff like that while you're in college
or when you get to the pros, when somebody gives
you descriptive um responses to something about you or something
about a situation, it's generally the opposite. And you know
(24:23):
that as like, well, what do you mean? Uh, If
you meet a girl and you're trying to talk to
that girl and she's talking to you, and you give
your name and data DA, this is who I played for,
and you say, you know, do you have any idea
who I am? And they say no, I have no
idea who you are. It's the opposite. And you say, well,
(24:47):
you know, I'm not a groupie or anything like this.
This is my first time talking to an athlete. They
are groupie. It's not the first time. There's not their
first time time to an athlete. So when you give
the descriptive response of we're keeping an open mind and
it's not going to take days or take hours, it's
going to take days for us to make a decision,
(25:08):
it's the total opposite. He's already made the decision, The
mind is closed, the decision has already been made. But
that's that's what that calls up diffuge, Like that's I mean,
that's that's what's going on here. Everybody knows they're gonna
announce Jeff Saturday and everybody's gonna sit there and they're
gonna go at Jim Ursa's neck, and then there's gonna
(25:29):
be the conversation of race relations as it applies to hiring,
how the process of hiring takes place, how there's loopholes
to it, and how it's not done fairly, because that
has not been a narrative that has played out as
of late, like that was a big time Initially, it
kind of slowed down. It was nowhere near as much
(25:50):
as as it was in the past few years. They've
met the Rooney rule because they did interview Raheem Morris
from my understanding, and they've Shane Stikeens. Another guy, Brian
Callaghan is the o CU with Cincinnati. He's another one
that's out. I thought you were going to say the
NFL made their quota by higher and Damiko Ryan, I
thought that's where you were hitting. But you are right,
(26:12):
they met the ruining that that's the case. The Texas
have done that the last three years. They've covered the
entire half the league like we got you guys, we'll
get you one year. We did our part um, but
we did hier and we doesn't take them around. It's
just that, Dave, you just did that. We shorted higher
(26:33):
a few and then we were allowed they had to go.
I just but it's Jim Mercy's team. He can cheese
pipe power. That a pipe pipe power? Come on, got
so quick? Dumb it, dumb it, dumb it. I didn't
(26:54):
say anything. It was so muffled. He's getting in laws
might be listening. You gotta be care for that stuff.
Man that do we have a button blink in their Google?
The blink came all the way to Arizona. But it's
it's Jim Mercy's team. He can do whatever the hell
he wants. Why is he gonna wait around hired? Just
make Jeff Saturday the coach. If that's what you wanted,
(27:15):
the direction you want to go in. He's gonna announce
it right before the Super Bowl, which is the smartest
thing to do Sunday at six eastern. Are you going
announce it right before the super during the flyover, right
at the right as the Star's bangle with the National
anthelms finishing, He's going to announce it Jeff Saturday boom
and the Super Bowl starts. Yeah, I'm thinking it's I mean,
(27:35):
is he waving on a decision to make with B enemy?
Is he waiting on a decision to make with there's
a Jonathan Gannonshane Stiken like guys who are ocs for
the teams you can't hire until after they're done. That
would be the only plausible explanation, and Stiken would have
the edge over B Enemy, wouldn't he because I don't
know the bs B enemy interview with the coach. Maybe
didn't initially, Actually he did. He thought the head coach
(27:57):
interview would great. That's actually on your up top right
now if you just looked down. I don't know who cares,
says thought head coach interview with the Colts went and great?
Did it look right there? Look at that at your
right there, the interview with it. Yeah, it's on your
laptop you're looking at. And by the way, there's like
a bare knuckle fight also on this advertisement. Look at
(28:19):
that right all on the same page. Look, it's like
a pinata like sporting events. Jeff Saturday there went over
the Raiders. How did you miss that? I don't know
who cares point Saturday's big win over the Raiders. Yeah,
it was a massingular singular. It's a massive win and
did he ever win anymore? Well, he won the first
(28:40):
half against Minnesota. There's that big one and a half wins,
so that he has the ability to get big. That's
the that's the Jeff Saturday era, just going it. See
he's gonna hire or lossk He's probably gonna be on
the staff. Come on, get me started, Come on started, man,
(29:04):

All right, So we've got our midweek Awards are going
to hand out coming up here shortly. But for all
the latest from around the world of sports. Yeah, he's
(29:49):
better than Jeff says the best. He's the best. He's
better than dan or Lass. He's even better than Jimmerson.
He's Edmund f and Garcia Wo. That doesn't doesn't deserve
a while. I appreciate that. That How about that we
do here? That's what you do. I know that. That's sure.
Let's start with the NBA. Lebron James needed thirty six
(30:13):
points to pass Kareem ub dul Jabarb become the NBA's
all time leading score. He finished with thirty eight points
final seconds of the third quarter at a jumper from
the free throw line to break the record. The Lakers
lose to the Thunder one thirty three to one oh three,
but nobody really cared about that. It was all about
Lebron James hitting that shot. I was able to get
to a really good spot on the floor where I'm
very comfortable with and get to one of my pattent
(30:35):
and fade away shots, you know. And uh, you know
a lot of people wanted me to go to the
skyhoo to break the record or one of my signature dunks,
but my favorite was a seniorship play as well, and uh,
I was able to get it and the narrative it
touched nothing but the bottom of the net. That was
pretty cool. What a blow hard dude. He's got like
(30:56):
amongst the mount Rushmore blow hard and sports, he's got
the record, he's got at least two of the foeheads.
If there's one time you could flex like that. Signature
stuff is signatures, signature, the jumper, the three pointer. Nobody
else has got that patent, the patent, the signature. Right, thanks,
(31:17):
I forgot that. Eddie was doing a nutslet. I got
so caught up in the Lebron signature and then I'm sorry, No,
that's fine, that's absolutely fine, and you're absolutely right about
the blow hard part of that. But you know, congratulations
to the Lebron games and they lose the game, the
Suns beat them. That's one six. Cam Thomas forty three
points for Brooklyns, guy who's averaging like eight points a game.
(31:38):
He scored forty or more now in three three straight games. Uh.
The Nuggets beat the Timberwolves twelve. The Kole Yoki triple
double for Denver. It's nineteen and the record for Denver
when he goes for a triple double. Grizzlies over the
Bulls one, the Knicks knocking off the Magic one nine,
and the Pelicans beat the Hawks one sixteen to one
oh seven College basketball four games, and they all featured
(31:58):
ranked teams going to it its number twenty one un
knocked off tenth rank Marquette eight seven seventy two, Kansas
State rank twelve, beat number seventeen, TCU eight two to
sixty one, eight rank Virginia knocked off number twenty two
and set and number eighteen. Indiana winner over twenty four
rank Rutgers sixty six to sixty. This report brought to

Kings sports Books. There are some good things that happen,
and there's some bad, and then there's some downright ugly things.
It's time for good bad and all right. Lead to
Lap who is now stealing coffee for other shows here
at Radio Road. By the way, the great, the great
(34:10):
Steve Gorman over there. Good to see our our good buddy.
Steven's been a while, Black Crow's drummer, superstar radio guy,
slumming it with us here at Radio Row, bright and
early and LEAs stealing coffee for him. Now he's going
to go to jail just like Uslie. Never come on, Bert,
(34:30):
he's coming right for right for him, He's coming right
for He's right here, he's right there, right there in
the pick right here, right. Yeah, I got a little
too serious. We're just joking. So who's got Is that
(34:53):
a flask in your pocket? Who's got this week? Well,
it's Super Bowl week, so I figured we need some
super good news. And who better for that then? LaVar.
What's good this week? I mean, obviously what's good is
Lebron James I mean we you can't say enough about
him setting setting a record that probably was an insurmountable
number two. Basically everyone until Lebron James did it. So
(35:17):
for all of the debates and all of the things
that are are discussed as it applies the Lebron James,
the one thing you can't uh debate or fight or
argue is that Lebron James is now the leader and
at the tops of being a scorer in the NBA.
So what a great experience. Skip Bayless for Sports. Bayless
(35:39):
sets a tweet out that said, by the way Kareem
scored all those points and only hit one three point
in his career, had to find a way it is.
It's changed the game. It has and that's why I
think when you look at the next generation, the one
thing that holds anyone else from ever beating it back
is the fact that he came right out of high
(36:01):
school and you you, at least as the rules are
right now, you're always going to be a year behind
him because you have to be a one and done
for the most part, or go to some of the
Professional Sports League. So that can't have good without the bad.
Brady was bad this week. You know what's bad Kentucky
men's basketball. Yeah, they got blown out last night against Arkansas.
(36:25):
It's not looking good for their chances of making the tournament.
That could be resorted doing the n I t um
You know they have those called the quad one category, right,
those are deemed to be your toughest opponents in helping
the tournament committee, you know, make up who makes it
who doesn't. They have dropped out a one in seven,
(36:45):
there only win being that win versus Tennessee who was
either what number one or whatever it was that at
that time. But it's just it's it's been odd, man.
I mean for one of the most storied basketball programs.
John Calipari has recruited, well, he's gotten guys to the league,
but what one one national championship? Why do you do this?
(37:06):
I'm just man, it's goad. Here's the problem. The meat
wagon is a die hard Kentucky text. I actually I
found my way onto a Kentucky men's basketball group text
Brady filed filed down the end of a twoth fresh
and it's just sticking him in the rim every time
they let me let me read through one text every time.
(37:30):
I'm not gonna say who said this, but this is
this is what's being spread about John Calipari. He's got
a lifetime contract, but he's too arrogant to step down
even though he's lost the program and I t bound
can't be Quad one teams. He's just just warpus the
next season. It's so funny man like he does I mean,
(37:53):
he does have a lifetime contract. Like there's nothing Kentucky
can do about it. It would take John Calipari leaving
for another opportunity or hoping that next year's class, which
is like his best recruiting class ever, can come save
the day. But I think the counterpoint to that is,
wouldn't you think if this is the direction the program
is going, you'd want to bring in someone else to
(38:13):
take advantage of that new class. What's the Calipari comping football?
Like who's who's a coach? Who's got one? But you go,
you should have to buy out like ninety million, Like
there's literally not a comp to this as far but
as far as success rate, got all that talent, all
that potential, he's got one national title, to show that. Yeah,
(38:34):
maybe not even less. I mean boors Ron wasn't there
long enough. I mean yeah, but he wasn't there long enough.
Does have one though, doesn't one, But I don't know
if he was there that long. Trying from Joe Paterno, Yeah,
paternal has got what too too too, though he was there.
(38:54):
But yeah, it just think about it. If if you
had two, maybe three, it might be three, it might
be too. But he he had an undefeated in ninety
and they didn't get it because they gave it to
Nebraska and then after that I mean four or after
(39:15):
that year. But but I would I wouldn't put him
in that category because he he did win a couple
and on top of that, like I think Calipari and
Kentucky was at the top of men's basketball. They made
the one and done a thing. And then as people
kind of came and infiltrated that, then it became more
about Okay, wants a deed that's got knocked off. Sorry,
(39:37):
but you know now that's become a little more spread
out as far as the talent. But even more so,
people have adapted adjustice and they have He hasn't been
able to develop the guys to get him to win
another ask you this, do you think some way somehow
because I was just in Lexington not too long ago
and their parking lot is phenomenal, Tesla's g G sixty five,
(40:01):
a m G sixty three or whatever. We get the
ugly and first, oh, go get the ugly. Oh it
was that uh that knob at the bar and his
treatment a Brady qualm, that was Brady quean when when
you're when you're how are you gonna call me friend?
And we'd be a you know when when you're when
you're the face of big new and kickoff that that
(40:23):
commands respect, and he didn't get here. It was a
poor it was a poor decision on maybe we'd give
him an opportunity to open tap Baby,
