f s R. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Yeah,
go Brady, Uh huh, Two Pros and a Cup of Joe,
Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox at the here. No,
(00:41):
LaVar Arrington, he'll be back after the weekend. You know,
he's uh having some fun with the misses. It's anniversary.
Getting limber. Yeah, very flexible, definitely that big pot. Actually, hey, BUTO,
what do you think he's doing right now? Yeah? Come on,
gig gig, Okay, yeah, come on, burn out. Just tell
(01:03):
me what would you Belee, what would you be doing
right now? Uh? Double fist in Long Islands? What are
we thinking? Yeah? I mean at this time, by the way,
I think he might be going to Vegas as well too,
And I asked, well, was that part of it? Well,
I think that they were doing like a special anniversary
(01:24):
thing and then they're going to Vegas. I think that
was that was all. There was like a two two
part experience. He has a two part anniversary where he
had a wedding on a beach and then like an
official wedding, so he has like two anniversaries. It's like
the person who doesn't have a birthday, they have a
birthday weekend, you know, like those people pulled on so
(01:44):
they were celebrating like the ceremony as well as like
when they went to the courthouse or what we're talking about.
Kind of like one in front of family and one
just like them on the beach. I think double anniversary.
Come on, Brady, I've never heard of this. Yeah, I mean,
I'm just thankful I can remember the one I have. Yeah.
I uh, I got married during COVID, so I try not.
(02:06):
You can save money. Though you could have postponed it,
you did it so you can save money and you
didn't have to have as many people at the reception.
You know, we've talked about it. That's kind of insulting
and also very fair. Point one percent correct. Let me
tell you something. When you could save five hundred dollars
on a mariachi band, you try and save that five
(02:27):
hundred dollars on a mariachi band. I'll tell you, think
about how much you were saving per plate of food
you didn't have to buy for people. By the way,
it's I hope money actually bad adding. Come on, it
got shut down. I swear to got it hadn't we
had it booked. Here's what they had to be socially
distant so far. Part of the band wasn't gonna They're
just gonna sound like individual players. And it all spread
out across Lee was there? Lee? Did we not try
(02:48):
and make the most of the situation that we had.
We were really confined in a tight space and it
was hot at balls. I mean, we did a pretty
awesome party for it being a socially distant Lee. Did
you bring to or who was your plus one? It
was me and Bobo and Iowa Sam. There you go.
And by the way, Bobo, Bobo leaves the wedding early
(03:09):
and he goes he goes, hey, dog, I gotta talk
to you man. Brady was trying to come. We were talking,
he said, he was going to be here, but you know,
it just didn't work out. But Brady was I was like, man,
I'm surprised anybody came to this, dude. It was literally
in the middle of COVID and in the second shutdown,
so it was a problem for a lot of people involved.
Just like a full disclosure. I was. I was trying
to make it. I was trying to coordinate with Boba
(03:31):
to make it happen. I just literally did not work out. Yeah,
and then I heard that Lee and Iowa Sam, another
Fox Sports radio luminary, got absolutely mangled and Lee, did
you sleep on Sam's couch? Is that what happened that
night or something like that. Yeah, we walked over from
the Pineapple Hill Saloon, Frank's old stomping gross what that is?
(03:53):
That is a place, I'll tell you that is. That
is quite the play. And it's always a good sign
when the local bar is right next to a laundry mat.
That's always a good sign that things are going to
go well for you that evening. So that is So
that's the update on weddings, and say, hey, listen, LaVar
is gonna be back and we'll all be excited to
welcome him back, and it's gonna be feel a little
bit loose. You ever have to go a Lundry matter
(04:14):
wash clothes? That sucks? Oh it's awful. Yeah, and it's
and it's expensive now too, Like they just jack up
the price all the time, and it's always like a
certain The last time I did it, it was a
dollar twenty five. It's like, come on, dude, can't you
just make it a dollar? You need the extra twenty
five cents And then you never have the right right amount,
so you have to like go, you know, ask somebody
(04:35):
else you have a quarter. It's just it's a pain
in the ass. But they get it done, right. I mean,
those those industrial machines work for you. So there's that
those people. I got to do that every weekend either
for like three four hours. It's awful. It's terrible. Yeah,
it's brutal. But you know, just listen to this show,
you know, throw on a podcast and get after a
(04:56):
little bit. And if there's a you know what happens
to be a little little establishment mirror nearby, put your
clothes in, got forty five minutes, start throwing them back.
Let it fly a little bit. All right, We are
running bringing the show to you live here by the
way from the ti irac dot com studios. Tirac dot
com will help you get there an unmatched selection, fast
free shipping, Free road has a protection and over ten
(05:17):
thousand recommended installers. Ti irac dot com the way tire
buying should be also of note. Later this hour, we
are going to have the return of Headliner Lie. Now,
for those of you that are not familiar with Headline
or Lie, this is something that Brady and I did
when we had our Sunday night show together for years
and years on Fox Sports Radio, a very popular game
(05:38):
show that we did every single week. But we need
two callers, so we're going to give out the phone
number and all the information when we decide we're gonna
play Headline or Live. But that's coming up later on
this hour, so be prepared. If you've never heard it before,
it is can't miss radio. And back in the old
days when we would do it on Sunday nights, it
was right after all the NFL games, or actually it
wasn't during the NFL offseason, but it was Sunday evening
(05:59):
and there was people that were getting after it because
they didn't want the weekend end, so we would get
a lot of drunk participants, which I don't anticipate. We're
going to have here at a little after seven am
the Eastern time of the morning. You never know. It's
a Friday. Someone might have taken today off for a
long weekend. That's true, all right. So we will give
out the details on some headline or like we used
(06:19):
to have some bamboozle people. I mean they would call
in and be on another planet. You remember the two
guys from Ohio called it on Easter Sunday. Oh yeah,
they were hammered, absolutely hammered. Some guy called it on
Easter Sunday from Ohio and for no reason whatsoever, just
took a shot at Anthony Fauci, just said, you know what,
(06:40):
I'm taking Fauci out right now. He didn't even know
who Fauci was. I mean that we were well into
COVID at that time and they didn't even know who
Fauci was. Yeah, that was a that was a fun ride.
So we will have a little headline or lie. So
if you want to be a part of it, stick around.
We're gonna give out the details on that coming up
here shortly, all right. So let's let's get into this,
(07:01):
because this is the story that will not go away.
It's a story that that people just continue to hold
onto and I'm trying to figure out why this is
still a prominent conversation for a lot of people around
the NFL. So Scott Zolac, who you know, obviously one
of the voices of the Patriots, been doing it for
years and years, one of the great listens as well too,
(07:23):
brutally honest, calls it like he sees it. He's obviously
he supports the team, but like the you know, the
final play call against the Raiders this past year where
you know, they threw that lateral back and Chandler Jones
intercepted it and then basically curb stomped mac Jones and
ran into the end zone. We let's can we effort
(07:44):
finding that Scott Zolak from the Patriots side of that
Raiders Patriots ending, it's phenomenal. So Zolak's one of the
best in the business. He's also he does a show
on our affiliate ninety eight five, the Sports Hub in Boston.
But he was saying that Tom Brady to Miami is
absolutely in play, that that is absolutely in play. And
(08:05):
the door is not shut on Tom Brady potentially going
to the Miami Dolphins. And he's not the first to
say this, He's just the most recent that I've seen
say this, and I don't get it. I understand that
he lives in Miami, but at some point it's over
and it feels like, I know you were making the
(08:25):
point that, look, if Tom Brady goes away for a year,
that's it. It's not like he's going to take a
year off and then come back. I'm I'm still struggling
with the fact that people are trying to place him
in different situations around the league. To me, the best
spot for Tom Brady would have been the Raiders, and
I think they were probably anticipating that he would be available.
(08:46):
It would have been cheaper than trading for Aaron Rodgers.
He was a complete free agent, and his familiarity with
Josh McDaniels and Ziegler and you know, potentially bringing Gronk there.
They already tried to get it done once, but it
was John Gruden who nixed the whole thing together. If
it's not going to be the Raiders, I just have
a hard time buying that Miami's actually a viable option
for Tom Brady. I think it's a viable option for
(09:09):
a couple of reasons. I mean, ownership is the first thing.
Like Tom Brady is at a different level than everyone
else in the NFL, all right. I mean, this is
the guy who whenever they had labor disputes, it was
Brady's name on the documents, Like that's who filed those
Brady versus the NFL. You know, he's the guy who's
got the resume that stands up against no one else.
(09:30):
No one's done what he has done before, and he's
the only guy that can warrant getting a three hundred
and seventy five million dollar contract from a broadcast network
because of who he is and what he's accomplished. So
he exists at a level that's that's above all of
us in that regard. And I think when he looks
at potentially coming back, you know, he's not like sitting
(09:50):
there and talking to front office folks. He's talking to owners.
He's talking to Stephen Ross, who's a Michigan alum, very
proud Michigan alum. And I'm sure there's many things outside
and obviously there's always conspiracy theories about this dating back
to Tom Brady's time with the Patriots and Robert Kraft
as far as separate business dealings, things that went on
(10:14):
with the Craft family and everything else. These guys's hands
in and maybe kicking some money to Tom Brady as well,
there was always a thought that was going on. Well,
now you've would have that build up too with Stephen Ross.
And if Tom Brady wants to live in Miami, as
he's spent a lot of time now in South Florida,
but just on the West coast, it wouldn't be a
bad idea to go play with a team for a
(10:35):
year or two and be able to have the opportunity
to kind of grow some roots with an owner that
you feel like, yeah, he could help you continue to
build on your wealth and everything else that you've done
over the course of your career in Miami. You know,
with this team, they obviously have talent, you know, being
able to throw to Tyree Hill and Jalen Waddle and
those guys. I mean, he's they've been able to witness
(10:57):
that and see that firsthand how good those guys can be.
So you know, and look, maybe there's a little something
too to being able to go back in New England
and play against the Patriots a couple of times this season.
You know, maybe there's a little bit of that at
the end too. Even though it seems like Bill Belichick
and Tom Brady have kind of buried the hatchet, that
might be a little something that he wouldn't mind as well.
(11:18):
You know, maybe he didn't feel like he got the
reception he wanted. You can't go him back to New England.
But whatever the case is, I just I think if
if there was a place he'd go back to, Miami
would be one of those teams that might be on
the list. And it's Tom Brady. So he's he's that
quarterback that I think everyone goes, yeah, we get it,
like even though they've got two and two have played
great last year and he's a fit for the system
(11:39):
and all that stuff, it's it's still Tom Brady. So
of course you're going to contemplate that, and of course
you better believe Dolphins fans would be extremely excited about it.
I mean, I don't think it's going to happen, but
if it does, that's a hell of a quarterback division
shaping up next year. Rogers Josh Allen, Tom Brady in
the same division. I see you got mac Jones there,
(12:01):
which you know you would look at him and go, well,
he's probably fourth on that list of quarterbacks in the division.
But but the storyline, the fact that Brady's back in
the division, that we're going to get that twice a
year would be a lot of fun like that. That
would be a good time to see how it plays out.
But as a stands right now, I mean, listen, he's
he just bought a kitten for his daughter, all right,
So I mean that's that's the the story from Tom
(12:22):
Brady's side of things as to why he would not
be interested all the way. What's more difficult a kitten
or a dog? I think I would be much more
difficult early on. I think cats are quietly one of
the worst animals ever created. They're absolutely terrible. They're not nice. Uh,
(12:43):
they're stuck up, They're rude. They look at you like
you're intruding. Like a dog is all about I got
your back, like I got your back. You want like
you know, as they always say, like you got that
dog in you. They never say you got that cat.
You're missing You're missing the point when you first get
a puppy. It is hard sometimes to train those puppies.
(13:04):
I don't I mean, I've never had a kitten. I'm
not a cat guy, but I just feel like you
set up a litter box and they kind of figure
it out on their own, right, I mean, is that
pretty much how it works. Yeah. But they also will
throw some of the litter on the ground as well too,
Like they'll if they're trying to cover up what they're doing,
like they'll cover it up, but make sure a little
ghost on the ground so at least they're around the
litter box, whereas a puppy could peer poop anywhere at
(13:26):
once and you're not gonna know unless you step in it,
see it, smell it, that sort of thing. Because I
feel like with a dog or a puppy, the juice
is worth the squeeze, you know, because you know what
that's going to turn into, Like that's worth raising. It's
like a child. Yeah, you know. Point like if I
was going to use the excuse of raising an animal,
I wouldn't use a kitten. I'd be like, yeah, we
just got a puppy, Like it's gonna take a while
(13:48):
to get this thing broken in. I don't know, I'm
just not into cats, not into it. I don't get it.
I mean, listen, if he's you know, he's got a
kitten an he wants to use that as his reason
why he's going to stay retired. But yeah, maybe there
is a little bit more work involved with the puppy.
I have the Zola sound, by the way, we do
(14:11):
have it, all right. So let's say this is Scott
Zolak at the end of the Patriots Raiders game this
fast season, courtesy of the Patriots Radio Network. We get to, uh, well, look,
can we get a better volume on that? We want
to make sure we can get better volume, all right,
So so that'll take a little bit of time. We
need to roll it in, make sure, because we want
to give Zolak the proper introduction and the proper volume
(14:34):
on on this type of stuff. Here, that's how we
do it on this show. I don't know about the
rest of you guys, all right, we just want the
experience to be what it should be, right, Yes, come on,
who doesn't like Zolak. I haven't found one person who
doesn't like Zolak. He's great, he's awesome. It is two

(15:17):
LeVar Errington, and Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern
three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio
a Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio.
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox are the here. We are going
to have headline or lie coming up here very very soon.
(15:38):
If you've never heard of the game before, if you've
not been a part of it before, you can participate.
We normally don't do this. We don't give out the
phone number and take calls. I think that's a Brady
Quinn move. I think, yeah, that's your decision, because I'm
always about taking calls and sharing, you know, the show
with other people. I don't know why you're so against that,
for you know, you sure set yourself up for some
(15:58):
bad things that are coming your way when you keep
projecting things like that. That is the long history, and
Lee will subscribe to this is Jonas doesn't like taking calls.
He likes taking up as many segments as possible to
give out his opinions and his takes. And so that's
why we didn't take calls besides this on our Sunday
(16:19):
night show, and we have continued to not take calls
if people want the truth out there. But you brought
that up. Not yet listen. I mean, I'm not going
to confirm nor deny any of that. But if you
would like to be a part of the show and
you want to participate in one of the great game
shows in the history of sports talk radio, eight seven
seven nine nine six six three six nine, that's eight
(16:40):
seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine
nine six six three six nine. Operators are standing by,
and we are looking for two participants who want to
be a part of this fantastic return of a little
something we did here years and years ago called Headliner.
Lie you gonna be a part of that. Here eight seven,
(17:01):
seven ninety nine on Fox is the phone number for you.
Before we hear it from the great Scott Zolac, one
of the fantastic final calls of an awful situation in
the NFL. Doing to let you know, we are brought
to you by Dollars Shave Clubs. Still over paying for
a razor in this economy gross With dollar Shave Club,
you can get a top shelf shave at a regular
show price. Dollars Shave Club is available to store near
(17:22):
you in the men's razor aisle. That's it. That's the ad.
So let's listen to Scott Zolac. Courtesy of Patriots Radio.
This was the conclusion of one of the worst losses
in recent NFL history. That was that awful decision to
throw the ball back or lateral it. This was the
Patriots Radio network Patriots Raiders from a few months ago.
(17:45):
Everybody was about the middle up circles back across the field.
Oh my god, it's might be one of the bus
(18:13):
teams I've ever seen a factory for Vegas. The best
part about that is when he realized what's about to happen,
he goes, Oh my god. I mean I think that
was everyone's react to that play where Jacoby Myers, I mean,
I don't know what the plant was. We broke this
(18:35):
down extensively, and there were so many players for the
Patriots that fell on the store for the coaching staff
because as I had said back then, look I've been
a part of a lot of a lot of New
England coaches, right from from Charlie Weis to Romeo Cornell
to Eric Mangini to Josh McDaniels. You had end of
game situational plays like that. I had never seen one.
(18:57):
I looked back from my playbooks, I had never seen
one like that ever where it incorporated that sort of
throwback to the quarterback back twenty yards from where the
receiver was. And even more so, it was almost as
if at that point like you had to have been
telling the players to throw the football around. It didn't
(19:18):
make any sense while he would while he would have
looked to throw it unless there was that conversation at
some point the huddle or before the plate took place.
It's just that is absolutely phenomenal. So Scott Zolak just
the legend. He is awesome man. He believes he's the
piece of man of the people, say follow he definitely is,
(19:39):
so Scott Zolak, who definitely believes that Tom Brady still
could be in play for the Miami Dolphins at some point.
All right, two pros and a cup of Joe here
on FSR, coming up, and we'll call it a little
over fifteen minutes from now. We do have some good
news in the world of football, and you are a
major reason why. So we'll get into that again a
little over fifteen minutes from now from the tire rack
(20:01):
dot Com studio. So it is headliner Lie time. We've
given out the number eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine six six three six nine.
Are we going to dust off the intro as well too?
We got everything lined up a little, all right, so
let's take it away. It is now time for the
return of this He's it a headline or he's it
(20:25):
a lie. Let's go to the news desk. No, god
now and Brady Q. Well, that's that's like something else
that surprise the uh. They don't say we have range.
You can kiss our ass. There's plenty of range here
on this show. That's how that's how the creativity works here.
(20:47):
It is headliner Lie here on Fox Sports Radio. So
we're gonna pick our callers again. A thousand phone lines
all filled up. We're gonna pick our callers, and we
will explain how this game works for those of you
playing the at home version of this. So let's first
go to Chris, who's in Minnesota listening on Fox Sports Radio. Chris,
what's happening, what's going on? What's up? Chris? Just hanging out? Man,
(21:12):
Brandy Quinn, Michigan States to Margen take come back game?
Loved it? That's right, man. That was a windy, terrible
weather game. I think someone punched Charlie Weiss in the sideline.
I'm not exactly sure that game really Yeah, yeah, there
was there was There was. There was a scuffle that
broke out on our sidelines. I can't remember. Someone got
(21:32):
thrown into him. And then I'm pretty sure John L.
Smith after the game was like slapping his face. I
have no idea what happened. Wow, that's something, all right,
So we got we got Chris and Minnesota, and let's
go to Mario who's listening in Rochester right now. Mario,
what's happening what's going on? Guys? Good morning? What's up
Mario hanging out? Man? Hey? What's what's the weather like?
(21:53):
Were you guys? Right? Let's start with Chris. How cold
is it right now? Minnesota? It's knowing we're supposed to
get about another five to six inches and it's about
thirty degrees. That's awesome. Okay, that's a nice minisode of day.
What about you, Mario? But yeah, it's on thirty degrees.
It's not snowing, although we did get snow, and no,
we have a little weather advisory later this afternoon, but
(22:17):
nothing serious. I see, all right, it's not too bad
to be safe out there. Be safe? Yeah, definitely? All right.
So first and foremost, you guys aren't drinking, are you?
You haven't been licking the lid a little bit here
on a Friday morning? No? Okay? All right? Just want
to be clear, all right, So let's start with Chris. Chris,
you can team up with either Brady Quinn or you
can team up with me. Who do you want to
team up with? I gotta go with Brady nore dame baby, Yeah,
(22:40):
let's do it Chris? All right? Ay, Mario, you want
to team up with me? Man, let's get this done.
I have no choice. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Yeah. By
the way, Mario, yeah, it is true. You didn't really
have a choice, Mario. John Jones is from Rochester, isn't he?
You sure is? Yeah? That's right. All right, we're gonna
(23:01):
so this is our week. We're gonna get this done here. Um,
all right. So here's how it works. So Brady and
I are going to read our headline to the other
guy's partner, and you have to tell us whether or
not it is a headline or lie. It's very simple.
You'll figure it out if you're confused at all during
the course of the game. So we're gonna go back
and forth, and if we are tied at the end
(23:21):
of this list, we have got a tiebreaker question at
the end. So if you guys are ready to go,
I can start with Chris, Brady, Quinn's partner in Minnesota. Chris,
are you ready to go? I'm ready to go? All right,
do it? Here we go. Headline or lie. A man
led police on a high speed chase in LA on
Thursday while sucking on a nitrous oxide tank. I'm gonna
(23:45):
say that is a lie. That is a fact. I
think by the way, that guy, what a loser, literally
suck it on the nitrous oxide tank on the cops
have got guns drawn telling them to get out of
the car. Is that basically doing whippets? Isn't that like
(24:07):
the same thing? Right in the back of the day,
that was like a popular thing he had. He had
the whole tank to himself and he was just sucking away.
You know, it was really really a fun watch. It's
not gonna help you elude the cops, but I digress.
All right, Mario, here we go headline or lie. A
California man has turned away from receiving his twelfth COVID booster,
(24:29):
with medical officials saying it's not necessary. I'm gonna say
that's a lie, right, they go, Mario, because they wouldn't
turn him away in California, right, No, absolutely not. In fact,
they would encourage it. I think you'd probably get like
free movie tickets if you are on your twelfth. That's
how it works out here, all right. So let's go
(24:51):
back to Chris in Minnesota, Brady Quinn's partner. This is
headliner Lie here on Fox Sports Radio. Chris Headliner Lie
the Double Ohio's Strongest Human competition was won by a
transgender powerlifter who goes by the name of the meat
Wagon a Lot. Yeah, that's yeah. That's such passive aggressive
(25:18):
shot at someone for for for a text message. Let
me tell you, was that a yellow belly move by me?
Is that what that was? There? It is? You just
save it off for your radio shows? All right, here
we go, Mario headline or lie Fox Sports radio host
Jonas Knox is confused with the actor Wes Bentley from
Hunger Games on the Petros and Money Show headline, Lee Berno,
(25:51):
what stopping it back there? Dude, Let listen to tell
you don't got a dust this thing. Yeah, so so
that is incorrect. I guess weird, but but it's happened before.
John Ye, thank you. Yeah. Is it just because of
the beard, because the guy's got that weird beard? Is
that what it is? I think it's the way his
(26:12):
hair is matted down in that show too. That's like
a similar hairstyle and the beard. Yeah. I'm trying not
to use as a compliment though, I'm trying not to
use as much hair product. I don't like the shine anymore. Yeah,
it doesn't look as it looks like a helmet doesn't
look as good. Who cares about? Probably no one? Thank you.
That is a fair point, all right, So let's go
over to Chris and Minnesota A Chris Brady Quinn's partner.
(26:33):
Next up here, Chris headline or lie. Major League Baseball's
efforts to shorten games continued this week when the league
announced a new fast forward feature during select live broadcasts.
I'm gonna say a headline. Oh hey, Chris, you can't
(26:54):
fast forward a live game, you know, like that's but again,
at this point, who knows, Maybe he can't, you know
what the he's just thinking what we're all thinking. We'd
like to fast forward, we'd like to speak this whole thing. Yeah,
I agree, all right, Mario from Rochester. Here we go,
headline or lie. A wild cat was found in Cincinnati
(27:14):
with cocaine in its system. I mean, cocaine. Bear just
came out. So I gotta say a headline. It's that
real night. Oh yeah, that's a real story. It's a
real story. What were they like like storing it in there?
Did he like snorted himself? I don't know. I just
(27:36):
love how we already got one cat reference in earlier
today and now we've got a cocaine cat. Wow. That's uh,
everybody's doing coke these days. That's awesome. All right, let's
go to Chris in Minnesota. Kama, Chris did to come
back here? All right? Chris Headline or Lie, a Florida stripper,
was charged with domestic battery after striking or Rex boyfriend
(27:56):
with a wat of cash. Oh that's the headline. Oh good,
call good, call good call us. All right, here we go,
Mario headliner Lie. President Joe Biden falls down the stairs
of Air Force one again. Oh my god, headline times
(28:20):
a thousand. Oh, come on, really it was it was actually,
I believe the photo that most recently serviced when he
was in Poland. They're actually saying it was someone else.
It wasn't Biden, So we have to go based on that.
By the way, you see those conspiracy theories out there,
they think there are multiple bidens. It's like the movie
(28:43):
Dave all over again. They'll just make up anything, can
roll with it on Twitter. It's fun, all right. So
let's go back over to Chris and Minnesota. This is
Headliner Lie here on Fox Sports Radio. We are all
tied up at two apiece in the late stages of
the game. Here, So Chris and Minnesota Brady Quinn's partner
headliner lie. When asked about the new contract for quarterback
Daniel Jones, Giants great Lawrence Taylor said quote that would
(29:06):
that would have bought me a whole lot of booger
sugar back in the day. I'm gonna say that is
a lie. All right? All right, Chris, with the comebacks
of far Mario, you need this one to put it
into overtime, all right, Come on, Mario, here we go, Mario.
(29:27):
Headline or lie. Two men removed from a Jimmy Buffett
concert after indecent exposure and try to get past security
to jump on stage. That's a lie, is it though? Yeah?
Is it a lie? I cannot confirm nor deny. All right,
(29:53):
So here we go. We've got our tiebreaker situation here
on the show. So this is that works. I'm gonna
read a tiebreaker question. Your name is your buzzer. Whoever
buzzes in first with their name will have an opportunity
to guess whether or not it is a headline or
a lie. You don't shout out headline, you don't shout
out lie. You shout out your name, and whoever gets
in first, we'll have an opportunity here. So wait till
you hear the entire question or entire story here, and
(30:17):
you tell us whether or not it is a headliner. Lie.
So here we go the tiebreakers sudden death questionnaire between
Chris and Minnesota and Mario and Rochester to decide the game.
Here headline er Lie. ESPN is reporting that the NBA
reached out and thanked John Morant personally for helping the
league finally get some coverage. Mario, all right, so Mario
(30:39):
is in first at a Rochester. Mario is at a headliner?
A lie, that's a lie? Bingo bango, yeah, hold my
poler gone the way there? Hey, Chris, can we hear
though the Notre Dame fight song one more time? Though?
Come on a fender an by, I go from the gun?
(31:05):
Be great? All right, man, piping it out here on
a Friday. Well done, Hey, guys, well done, Mario, well done.
Chris quotes you guys, thanks so much. I have a
great rest of your Friday and enjoy the weekend, and
we appreciate you being part of the show. To be
safe out there, guys right say they are so Chris
and Mario upon the always appreciate a headline, a line
(31:27):
that goes into overtime, that's always great. Yeah, it's fine.
Could we do a lot of put a lot of
this stuff together ourselves here? And like some of these
stories are very elaborate. These well yeah, and I think
the Biden one falling down the stairs gets used once,
used to get used once a week? What a lee? Though?
Are we sure about that last one? Was that not
a headline? I kept finding some stuff about two guys.
(31:49):
There are a Jimmy bufferd concert. You know, if I
could remember, I would tell you, but I only remember
the beginning of the concert. Ely, how many drinks do
you think you had at the concert? Wasn't that part
of our over unders? It was part of overall? So
we don't want to spoil it. What's that for today? Yeah?
We got at the end going yeah, all right, let's
all right. So I'm still telling the numbers. Two. You
(32:13):
don't put like bottle caps in your pockets, so you
see how much damage you did later on? You know,
I was I thought they were gonna give me the uh,
the tall cans. They gave me the draft so okay,
which makes it harder when you're double system. Yeah, yes, true,
It's doesn't stay cold as long either. All right, it

(33:38):
quarterback for one team. We'll get into that discussion for

So there is some good news in the world of football,
(34:23):
and it involves people listening to this show. So if
you are driving around right now, or if you are
partaking in this show, you are largely responsible for this.
Because college football's attendance rose last year. Yeah, most it's
gone up since nineteen eighty two. The attendance numbers at
(34:44):
college football games. I think it was what a five
percent increase. I saw some of the numbers being thrown
out there around college football, and so the question now becomes,
why is there the rise and attendance at these college
football games. I have a couple of theories, if you'd
like me to go, or if you have a couple
of theories that we could throw around to try and
(35:04):
see what is what we got here? Well? Can I
guess one of your theories? All right? What is that?
More boozees? That is one. There are two other theories
that are attached to this. Um, I'm trying to think
the way your mind works. Um. Well, I mean look
post COVID, where people kind of couldn't or had the
(35:26):
social distance all this stuff. Now they've been able to
come back together in a in a big way. Is
it Does it have something to do with that? That
is number two? All right? Said? Is two of the
three can you guess the third? Oh man? I mean
they don't have live betting there in most these stadiums,
so I can't be a part of it. Um, I
don't know. I can't think of what a third would be.
All right, what's what's three? The vibe A big new kickoff.
(35:49):
Everybody wants to be a part of it. Everybody wants
to be a part of it. What you guys have done,
the presentation, the pageantry, the way it's been displayed every
single week, the competition it's created with whatever other show
is over on the other channel. But point is, I
think the presentation of college football has been done in
a way over the past couple of years that it
(36:10):
has completely separated itself from everything else. It's more popular
than the NBA. People can bitch about that all they want.
That's fine, MLB, NHL, you name it. Even look, March
madness is here. Love March madness. I don't even think
it's close. I look at a scene at a regular season,
say Big ten game, before, during, after the game, just
(36:33):
everything about it, and I go that to me has
now taken over for March madness and everything that comes
along with it. I think the presentation of the product
is the best it's ever been. And I think you guys,
and I'm not saying this to washing anybody's balls, but
I think you guys are a large part of that
with the way everything is put on. That's what I feel.
I'll co side on the part that I think college
(36:53):
football has ventured into a realm where we've gone it
And some people don't like this, but we've gone from
a regional sport where people really didn't care about. You know,
if you're living on the West coast, what's happening over
on the East Coast or what's happening in the Southeast,
you know, you're more fixated on, you know, what was
happening in southern California or maybe the Pacific Northwest. Now,
(37:14):
with realignment and especially with the expansion of the College
Football Playoff, you're gonna be a lot more interested, not
only because you're gonna be playing some of those teams
who are on the East Coast or in the Midwest
or in the South, either in the playoff, but also
potentially now in your new conference. You know, as these
conference continue to align. So I know it doesn't you know,
everyone doesn't agree with it. People don't like it, but
(37:36):
the reality is it's added i think, a more national
presence to a sport that, as you would just mentioned,
it's number two in all sports. It's it's still football.
It's at a different level, but still it's it's right
there behind the NFL as far as the next, you know,
top most watched, most you know followed, most enthusiastic of
anything else that's out there, And I think college football
(37:58):
and a lot of the people who have helped guide
it to this point, and a lot of the TV
networks deserve a lot of credit for the way they've
presented college football to the masses on TV and many
of the people that show up and then have a
good time. And we've talked about it before. If you've
ever been to a game as a fan, to an
NFL game or a college football game, the college football
experience is so much better in the NFL. And maybe
(38:18):
not the on field experience, obviously it's professionals and not professionals,
but just the experience and you're there every week is
unmatched when it comes to football. So good for college football.
