of people happy. We're also going to get into what
the Carolina Panthers plan on doing near the top of
(00:20):
the NFL Draft. Did LaVar actually see Stevo in the airport?
Did Lee lose Todd Scooter? Albert Brears cell phone is
gonna stop by and we're gonna talk about Opening Day
in Major League Baseball. It's all yours coming up next here,
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe on a Thursday,
Fox Sports Radio. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh yeah,
(00:45):
that's what I'm talking about. The Yeah, Hey, find the
heaviest weight nearby, pick it up, start moving it around,
do something with it. That's how we roll in Dublin, Ohio. Baby, Yeah,
it through something. Yeah, like a hundred reps, same thing
as one hundred doing one. That's how we operate it
(01:06):
is two pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports
Radio Davar Arrington, Brady Quinn Jonas knocks with that. You

over ten thousand recommended installers tirerac dot com. The way
tire buying should be. Good morning, how we feeling huh?
Noth fired? App Just kick it, ask me. Yeah, that's
how we operate. My knee is getting its ass kicked.
You know, well, it's really it's raining. Oh it's raining then,
(01:52):
oh man, probably overcast. There's probably a lot of stuff
going on. The gravitational pool taking place on my kneecap
is not good. It's the LeVar Nied Doppler thousand, the
joint line, the joint line Scottie. By the way, I
think how I got accused of creating the LeVar knee
Doppler five thousand. No, I absolutely did not that LeVar.
(02:14):
It's pretty dope. You got a body part with it.
With a Twitter, you might have fourth and one for
all I know, you might have fourth and one. That
is true. He could he could be running the Louisville
Slugger account. Who knows multiple accounts stuff? Well, it would
be the Pittsburgh Slugger, wouldn't it. Yeah, that's true. The
(02:35):
North Hills, the North Hills Slugger. Yeah. By the way,
we do have potential movement in one of these storylines.
Non't worry. It's not Lamar Jackson. We've got more in
that coming up later launches. But apparently the Green Bay Packers,
according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Green
(02:55):
Bay Packers have backed off wanting the jets thirteen overall
pick in the upcoming draft and overall. The Jets believe
that the Packers have been quote unreasonable and irrational according
to Floria, when it comes to the asking price for
Aaron Rodgers. So it looks like the first pick that
they were going to get, or the number one pick
(03:16):
they were going to get. That feels like they've just
sort of reached the point to where, what exhaustion, let's
just get it done. You know, we've spoken publicly about it.
You've got Matt Lafloor, you've got Goodakoons, you've got Weekend
at Murphy's speaking out on it, and it just feels
like they're probably at the point to where they say,
let's get what we can get, let's move forward, let's
(03:38):
go with Jordan Love. We'll take a second this year,
maybe a second next year, and then we just move
on and we just thank him for all this time
here and everybody gets ready for next season. Can I
give you all a list? This is actually pretty funny
because there's like one position that stands out versus the others.
But can I give you a list of the history
of the number thirteenth overall pick? Like? It's crazy to me,
(04:03):
And we've talked about this obviously at line. I know
one specifically, and that's the outlier to the whole list, Okay,
which is interesting because I was I don't know that
I'm going that in direction with it. I've posed this
question before the Jets are so hung up on keeping
that thirteenth overall pick. If you look at their current
(04:25):
roster and credit to Joe Douglas and Phil Savage and
Rex Hogan and all the people within their front office
who've built this up. And it's not just the first
round picks. It's not just Garrett Wilson Sas Gardner. It's
not just Quinn and Williams or some of the other
guys they've taken. They've found other players they've been able
(04:45):
to draft, plug in and have worked and have played
well for them. Elijah Veret Tucker looks awesome last year
before we got hurt, Breese Hall, same thing. So it's
not just about one pick in the first round what
they do with it, okay, because they've done a good
job with all of them. But to be so attached
to that one pick. In my mind, all right, and
(05:09):
I've said it before, what player are you getting that's
gonna change the chance of you going to the super Bowl?
Because if you are Rodgers, you've got a shot. Like
any any Jets fan who denies that is out of
their mind. He's gonna walk in and be the best
quarterback you've ever had. And that includes Joe Namath. He
will he will be the best quarterback your franchise has
ever had, and yet you wouldn't get up with the
(05:31):
thirteenth overhall pick. So this is the list. Jordan Davis
in twenty twenty two, Rashaan Slater, Tristan Orf's, Christian Wilkins,
Ron Payne, Hassan Reddick, Laramy Tunsil, Andres Pete, Aaron Donald,
Sheldon Richardson, Michael Floyd, Nick Fairley, Brandon Graham, Bryana Rackpo,
Jonathan Stewart, Adam Character, Cameron Wimbley, Lee Evans, Jamal Brown,
(05:56):
Tie War and Dante Stalworth. Literally, you're getting a defensive
i've been or offensive line, but with a few exceptions,
and that's like a couple of running backs and a
wide receiver. Like like, that's what you're getting at the
thirteenth overall pick. And that's if you don't trade out
or whatever. I'm looking at thinking like this team doesn't
really need either of those positions, or even if you
(06:20):
take a guy at that spot and you miss out
of the chance of having Aaron Rodgers, which I think
they'll get it done. I just look at it and go,
is it worth it? Like to have that pick and
not have Aaron Rodgers, who again is gonna be there
for probably a couple of years, maybe three. It just
doesn't make any sense to me that this has gone
(06:40):
on this long. It makes sense to me in the
sense that Green Bay is going to want what they
want to want out of the situation just on feelings.
I do believe this became personal. This did not stay business.
It was personal because if it were, if it were
(07:02):
just business, at some point they would have came to
that conclusion queue in Green Bay. That's what I think,
Like New York is not going to give it up.
So we're here. These these are the circumstances we're working with,
regardless of what we you know, what the feeling of
what Aaron Rodgers compensation should be or could be based
(07:25):
off of who Aaron Rodgers is as the player. We're
not coming up off of this pick. Now, you can
take that or you can leave that, but we're not
coming up off of this pick. And so to me,
I think whether you wait a week, two weeks, a month,
(07:46):
if if they're not going to come up off of
that pick for the compensation, then they're not going to
come off of it. So to me, if if you're
not getting rid of Aaron Rodgers, like, Okay, we're going
to get two second round draft picks and they absorbed
the contract of Aaron Rodgers. If you're getting rid of
(08:08):
Aaron Rodgers and you're able to move on from Aaron
Rodgers and you're able to allow your fan base to
close the door on it, you allow Trade Land, excuse me,
Jordan Love and and the rest of the team in
the locker room to move on from Aaron Rodgers. You
make the deal happen, even if it does not fall
(08:30):
on the side of what they would feel is fear
compensation for the level of the player that they're receiving.
In New York, when Albert Brier said I think it
might have been last week or the week before, but
when he talked about how you know Aaron Rodgers gave
the Packers leverage, I remember thinking myself, well, that didn't
seem right at the time. But then when he went
(08:50):
on to clarify that, A listen, the Jets aren't willing
to part with that number one pick, I thought, there's
no way the Jets are gonna come out of this
thing and actually get a way with landing Aaron Rodgers
for multiple year commitment from Rogers himself and then not
have to part with that number one pick. Credit to
them for if they can pull this off and not
have to get rid of that number thirteen pick, that's awesome.
(09:13):
But the way that Goodakoon's talked about it, the way
that Matt Laflour talked about at the owner's meeting, that
appearance that he made on McAfee show starring AJ Hawk,
I don't think sat well with a lot of people there,
and I think at this point they realized he did
damage that hurt our our ability to should probably get
more than we could probably get. The Jets have stood
(09:34):
back after meeting with him and going through all the motions,
and in the end, the Jets are going to come
out the winner in this deal because they're not gonna
have to part with that pick, So credit to them.
I just think he put the Packers in a tough
spot here. Well, That's why I never really understood why
Albert made it sound like Green Bay had leverage. It
didn't sound like to me they had any levers degrees all. So,
(09:54):
I mean, the cards are on the table and the
Packers started it like they're the ones that said, in
a perfect scenario, no Aaron's not back, you're playing. They
said that, like you had a guy come out and
say that, Mark Murphy, who's viewed as the owner of
the team. Once that came out, I was like, Okay, well,
like this is eventually gonna get done, but look, a
(10:14):
conditional pick. It sounds like that's what it's going to
be now, just for the reassurance of, hey, if Aaron's
not back for a second year. But I love the
fact that that could be in there because that's just
one of those motivating factors for Aaron to come back
and try to if he's got ill will or bad
feelings towards Mark Murphy and Brian Guttencuns. It's like, come
(10:36):
back for another year just to make sure they don't
have a first round pick in twenty twenty four. I mean,
that's part of the package too of motivation if you're
Aaron Rodgers, not just depending on how the season goes,
but you know, hey, yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and
make sure I come back just so they don't get
a first round pick. I mean, there's a lot to
be said for that. It's pretty fantastic, And by do
(10:57):
you think some people are gonna push back on a
saying that Aaron Rodgers are going to be the best
quarterback in the history of the Jets organization, which is
one percent of fact. But yeah, that's factual. That's not
an opinion. I mean, name the other four time MVP
they've had. I mean, they've got Joe Namath who's on
a Super Bowl, but who I mean, statistically they even compare.
I mean, honestly, it's not you. Actually you actually have
(11:21):
the You have a quarterback coming in who has the
best touchdown interception ratio in NFL history, and then you
have a quarterback who's in the Hall of Fame has
got less than a one to one. I believe. I'm
pretty sure name of three more picks than touchdowns if
off the top of my head, and I and I
don't know why I know this, it's one hundred seventy
one touchdowns, two hundred twenty interceptions. It's something around that.
(11:42):
Around the neighboroo Lee, can you fact check that please? Um,
maybe Todd's got it, but I think it's fifty fifty
less touchdowns than interceptions. And Joe Namo's career I mean again,
not an opinion, that's just fact. Yeah. Now, maybe Rogers
game off the field is as good as name us
off the field, all right. We've seen and pieces of
(12:03):
that through the year. True, Susie Colver firsthand, right, that
is true. First, I mean, that's that's Joe and look Rogers.
Rogers hangs out in golfer holes in Oregon and goes
into the darkness. And Joe Namath at one time like
to bend the elbow a little bit and wore Panti hoos.
All right, So there's there's a lot of the big
(12:24):
differences between They used to do a Pantio's commercial back
in the day. I want to kiss you right here,
that is right now. Also, congratulations to the New York Jets,
they were big winners last night. The Sacramento Kings clinched
a playoff spot. By the way, the Sacramento Kings are
(12:47):
an NBA team. Just do you want to clear that
up for everybody out there. As we continue our in
depth coverage of the national basketball that got outrated by
game that is women's basketball, that is the league. Yes,
that's the same one, not a game, not a game
like the entire league so far, this year got outrated
(13:09):
by one of League A leite A game in the
women's tournament. Interesting game, you know. Can I add one
more point to this too, Bob Well, I just wanted
to say, it's real quick. And so the New York Jets,
with the Sacramento Kings clinching the playoff spot, now have
the longest playoff drought among any NFL, NBA, MLB, or
NHL team. The Sacramento Kings clinching Rogers forget about that. Yeah, combined,
(13:37):
let's be realistic here, A famous you know, he's kind
of Aaron Rodgers is almost kind of the same victim
to the same thing as Lamar Jackson. There aren't suitors,
and that's why there's no to me, that's why there's
no leverage here, right, Because if you had another team
that was interested in Aaron Rodgers, I mean they might
(14:00):
part ways with that that first round draft pick, and
then now New York has the pressure of having to
match that. But there's no Rogers has leverage. The team doesn't.
Green Bay doesn't have leverage. That's the way that's again,
if there was another team that was in play for
Aaron Rodgers, now it becomes a different conversation. But New
(14:22):
York is looking around like, you know, look look Green Bay.
There's no one else there. There's no one else here.
So you have two options to get caught with Aaron Rodgers,
stuck with him on your team, or you allow him
to come to us. To me, that's leverage. You know
what I mean, that's that's leverage. Let's go live. Two
are I have the numbers that would show the touchdown
to interception ratio for one Pantyho's wearing Joe Namath from
(14:45):
back in the day. Lead to lap the insider of that, Lee,
what do we got? You were very close? It was
one seventy three touchdown for Joe Navith, well not one
seventy one, and but you were correct to twenty interceptions. Wow.
And meanwhile Aaron Rodgers, Yeah, four seventy five touchdowns in
only one hundred uh five. Think about that. I mean,
Joe Namath had one hundred, one hundred and seventy three touchdowns.
(15:06):
Patrick Mahomes would pick that up. And what four years?
Maybe three? Actually three is probably more likely. Um, different
era football though, yea, that is part of it. But hey, Lee,
how many how many side reporters did Joe name of
trying to kiss this come on, well, I know at
least one. I'm sure there's probably I want to by
(15:27):
the way, that seems like a theme with the Jets
in their quarterbacks. I don't know what it is. It's
weird just saying it seems like that's that's happened a
couple of times. All right. It is two pros and
a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn jonas doctor. It's on the I Art Radio
at Yeah. Well I think he had to go with
(15:49):
that because he doesn't have a termite sound drop in
the system. Oh wow, Gee, just gotta be clear. All right,
So we're gonna have the usuals coming up later on,
We've got another edition of In case you missed it,
We've got Yanny out. Albert Breer is going to stop by.
We're gonna see whether or not there's any sort of
issues with this connection, which is always an enjoyable ride
every single Thursday here on the show. So it's all
yours until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. But
(16:12):
coming up next hear from the Tirak dot Com studios
there is a decision that is being made near the
top of the NFL Draft, and it looks like we
have a decision already in the bag. We'll tell you
what that is that's next. Be sure to catch live
editions of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with
Brady Quinn, LaVar Errington, and Jonas Knox weekdays at six
(16:33):
am Eastern three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and
the iHeartRadio. A oh Man Hits, just keep on coming,
Enter Sandman, Enter the Hammer, Oh my gosh, straight out
of North Hills. It is Two Pros and a Cup
(16:55):
of Fox Sports Radio LaVar, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks of
the Air. You can listen to the show is always
on the iHeartRadio. I've coming up in a little over
twenty minutes from now from the tirerack dot Com studios.
We are going to have somebody in the NFL potentially
making a decision that could be interpreted as a direct
(17:17):
shot at a certain member of this program. How about that,
a decision in the NFL that could be a direct
shot at a member of this program. So we'll get
into that for you. Getting a little over twenty minutes
from now here from the studios, I think it's gonna
be Jonas Jonas, I don't know. I think this is
gonna sit This is not gonna sit well with somebody
on this show. Tell you it's Jonas. No, it's not. Listen,
(17:40):
I'm gonna have to be UQ because I don't care enough. Yeah,
that's a good point. That's a great point. What do
you mean you're in the Elvis Sweet? What are we
talking about here? Oh? Yeah, do you want to tell
that story you got cut off yesterday? Yeah, it's all right,
it's kind of funny. No, I'm just an Elvis Sweet.
It's pretty bad. Two at the Westgate Resort. Okay, that's cool.
(18:04):
I mean it's not it's not his actual place. I
don't think the Westgate was around when he was around
Elvis or is it his actual hotel? The actual hotel
really state when he was in um his whatever why
you call residency or whatever. That's awesome. Yeah, yeah, Now
they the stories that were circulating between you was Lee,
(18:29):
like Lee and Jimmy Buffett with his boy Todd, and
now you and Elvis Presley. I mean it's really Jonas.
I need to figure something out, Burrow, So we need
to figure this out and here's what's interesting. So when
I was on my way there, I ran into Erica Strata.
Then I was at the ships yea from y Yeah,
no way? Yeah? Cool? Were you would you say? We're like,
(18:50):
what's up? Bro? I was like, bro, I grew up
on you. Yeah right, you're like you're the man. But
he looks great. By the way, the way, are you
like a foot taller than him? Yeah, I think I'm
pretty Yeah, he's he's he looked tiny on TV. Yeah,
he's not super tall, but he his swag is strong. Man.
(19:12):
He was ships bro. Yeah, he had on some dunks
that matched his leather jacket. His hair was properly placed.
I mean he he was clean. Man, he was a
clean dude. Seventy four no way, looks seventy four unbelievable. Yeah. Man.
So then on the way out, I guess apparently Stevo
(19:36):
was in the uh was in the airport as well, Like,
so how he looks to us? Yeah he didn't fare
as well. I'll say, yeah, well he uh he did
give up all the booze and the drugs and all that, Stevo.
So he's clean and sober now doing he's like doing
comedy he's got a podcast. Um, you know, so it
feels like, you know, if that was him, I I'm
(20:00):
certain it was it was someone because I'm pretty certain
it was Stevo. He's got gray hair. He's got a
lot of gray hair. And yeah, well there a chance
you mistook Stevo as a white guy for another white
guy at the wrong white guy. I mean, it happened.
(20:22):
It looked like a chance that that there was someone
that resembled Stevo that was in that that place that day.
But I will say this, a dude that looked like
he was pretty accomplished, like geeked out. That's how I knew,
like he fanboyed out. And I was there. You know,
I'm not very social, so I went and sat somewhere
(20:44):
where it's just me, and I took my shoes off
because I don't wear socks. If you know me, you
know I don't want to socks. So I took my
shoes off and put my feet up that. Yeah, my
feet smell fine. I mean, you know, I keep not
your feet shoes though. The shoes smell fine because I
don't wear them often, so it's like they smell new.
They smell fine. I had on one. You know, I've
(21:07):
like gone on a bene of collecting Jordans. So I
did have on a pair of Jay's recent. Yeah, it's
spend recent. I've been going on a kind of a
Georgian What made what made you get into the Jay game? Well,
I do. I have a prora. I have like a
whole network called on my Feet Oil Network, and it's like, yeah,
(21:28):
it's all about sneaker culture. And I realized it just
rekindled the love that I used to have in getting sneakers.
And so I was like, you know, I never buy
anything guys, like, I never do anything for myself. Everything
I do is always for my wife, or my kids
or the community. I never spend money on myself. And
(21:49):
I was like, you know what, I'm gonna start treating myself.
And so whenever I see whenever I come across, yeah,
it's expensive. Every time I come across a pair of
Jordan's that I like, I get them. That's another thing.
I'll say this, I can't get down with like the
amount of money that you pay for some of them.
I will say this, Jordan's compared to other like sneakers,
(22:14):
whatever you want to compare them too, they're as comfortable
as they get. Like, I don't know what the difference is.
There's I don't know if it's like the ratios of
your heel to toe and all that crap, or like
the width. They just are more comfortable, Like I've warned
other sneakers one of the things and outside of like
some like Adida's Ultra Boost and like really really cushiony shoes. Yeah,
(22:34):
they are just super super comfortable. And I don't I'm
just like it must be Jordan's. He must be like, hey, look,
you put my name on it. That that thing better
be comfortable. I've never had a pair ever, not once.
If it's not a raw stress for less and ain't
coming home with me, that's the show us. You don't
(22:55):
have any ultraboose. What are you talking about it? Oh? Why,
I don't know those guys. Yeah, I don't know, But
I don't know how those got there by day. Those
those those Ultra Boost they are phenomenal, like was walking, Yeah,
but you know some people look at them and they're
not as cool as Jordan's. So I don't know. The
Adidas game. They got some expensive shoes too. Adidas just
lost Beyonce didn't they think she's walking away from Adidas
(23:18):
as well too. I didn't know she was ever with Adidas.
Yeah I didn't either. Yeah, I'll tell you this much too.
So I never thought once about bang Adidas and thought,
oh I should because he did, that's for sure. Yeah,
he's got a full closet full Adidas. Yeah, Duidas. He
was like, yes, that's true, that is true. Well listen,
(23:42):
uh Stevo, Ericastrada, LeVar Arrington, Els, everybody see Elvis. Everybody.
Did you have a peanut butter and banana sandwich? That
was Elvis's go to peanut butter banana sand That's a
great sandwich. Yeah, it is und Lowe carves low on sugar. Well,
I mean the case. But yeah, I didn't like bana
after growing up because my dad always made me eat
(24:03):
them for four football games. True story. Only I could
only eat I could only eat tuna, fish and and
bananas because I was always overweight. And you know, they
used to wait it. They was weighted back then, you know,
as in youth football. And I was always overweight, trash
(24:24):
bag chewing, gum spitting, running, tried to lose like five
pounds in like two hours to be able to weigh
in and play a game. So yeah, I didn't like
bananas because I was like the only thing that I
was allowed to eat. Well, listen to a lot of
sugar and bananas. So did yourself a favor there. All right,
(24:45):
we are brought to you by Discover. At the end
of your first year, Discover credit cards automatically double all
the cash back you've earned. That's right, everything you've earned doubled.
Seriously see terms and check it out for yourself at
discover dot com. Forward slash match. All right, So apparently
the Carolina Panthers who are picking number one over on
the draft coming up, they're down to two. All right,
so Will Levis who, by the way, speaking of jacked,
(25:06):
Will Levis up? I mean, he's not Brady quinnjacked, but
he's jacked. Let me say this, like the photos, that
service and all that, it took me back to like
a sit down meeting when the Tampa Bay Bucks flew
in to work me out and they did not like
the fact that I was like built like that that
big Yeah, yeah, they hated it. Now, the funny thing
(25:29):
I always said is, like I remember when I got
drafted to Cleveland and Tom Mslinsky was our head strength coach.
Alan de Janeiro was like our our he was assistant
to him kind of speed and all that stuff. They
would have sat there and they're like, this is the
biggest misnomer there is. Like there's the idea that quarterbacks
have to look a certain way and they don't want
(25:51):
you to look muscular a built because they think you're
not as flexible. Now, I could have damn near done
the splits and I had great range of mobile and
all that, and that was like what they would always say.
They're like, this is stupid. Like people who say this
don't understand because there's there's just different body types. Some
people are naturally tend to be more cut and have
easier time, you know, looking more muscular than others. That's
(26:13):
just the reality of it. And people don't talk about
their lack of athleticism or fluidity with the way they
move just because they're cut. So there's a little misnomer
to it, but it's a stigma that exists in the NFL.
And I will tell you right now, after the after
the pro day, after the combine, I've talked about former
(26:35):
general manager about it. A couple other people in front offices.
They don't like it, Like they bottom line don't like it.
They think he's like too much, go too ripped, looks
too rigid and all the stuff. And it's it's all
these things that just kind of go back to the
same stereotype that's been put on other, you know, more
muscular quarterbacks before the truth of the matter is, there's
(26:56):
there's just not like if you wore long sleeves, never
showed it off, but you were ripped. Stuff like that.
They never know. But because now he's posted these photos too,
like teams are going to look at it and be
like that, that's not for us. That's not what we
want our quarterback to look like. Yeah, well he's not
gonna end up in Carolina because they're only down to two.
Oh yeah, it's CJ. Stroud and it's Bryce Young according
(27:16):
to reports. And I continue to say this, if you
want to know who's going number one overall, just check
the odds. Go on DraftKings. CJ. Stroud holding steady at
a minus three thirty to go number one over Wow,
Yeah that's a big yeah big favorite's two to one
underdog plus two hundred. Yeah, that's that's c J. Stroud
all day. Yeah, so it does seem like and and
(27:38):
some people pointed out that CJ. Stroud and obviously you
would know a hell of a lot more about this
than ninety nine percent of the people talking about it,
but that CJ. Stroud does fit a Frank Reich type
of offense and quarterbacks that he's done. I'm just saying
that guy, that's the speculation. That's just the speculation. All right, Okay, Okay,
someone something. What does a Frank right offense look like?
(27:59):
Carol Line? Have we seen yet? Guys, we have not.
Have we seen them take the field and we seen
them do anything with the personnel they have seen it.
By the way, that Frank Reich offense in Indianapolis look
dynamite last year. Yeah, that offense that explosive there in
Carolina or in Indie last year? Is that is that
the Frank Reik offense we're looking for? How did that
Frank w Reich offense look like with with Carson Wentz
is compared to you know, Philip Rivers and some of
(28:21):
the others. Great, okay, yeah, well not great. This is
what I hate. You get so many d bags who
it's a draft time I'm gonna happen to paint. I'm
gonna put it out there and people run with it. Look, dude,
we haven't seen them on the field yet. We don't.
Frank writes a good offensive. Mine's a great coach. He
got jobbed in Indy, Okay by Jimmer saying the Tree leaders.
(28:43):
But the reality is like, until you see the pieces
of your offense on the field practicing, you're not gonna
know what this offense is gonna look like. You're not
gonna be able to play to the strengths of the
pieces within that offense. No different than the quarterback you have.
If they take Bryce Young, is the offense is gonna
(29:04):
look the exact same if they have c. J. Stroud.
Probably not, Like that's just how it works. This isn't
a league anymore where you get drafted into it and
you're like, all right, this is how we do our
seven step drops. Everyone has to do it the same.
This is how we do this, This is how we
do this where it's all gonna be the same. It's
not like that anymore. Every one of these offensive minds
usually adapts to the strengths of that player, and so
(29:27):
you'd be kicking yourself if you weren't doing that. But
to sit there and say like, oh, he's a good
fit for the Frank right, Okay, Like what does that
look like in Carolina? We haven't seen it yet. Can
we just pump the brakes on all that? Look, I'll
put it this way. I'll go a step further. Any
quarterback is gonna be good to Frankreich system. You want
to know why. He's a former quarterback. He knows how
(29:50):
to coach the position. He knows how to call plays
for that position. They've got Josh McCown there too to help.
You have Andy Dalton, who allows this quarterback to sit
and learned doesn't have to go in right away week
one and start. Those are all the reasons why any
quarterback is gonna be good in a Frank Wright system.
But you know it's not going to work in a
Frank Wright system if the offensive line stinks like last year,
(30:12):
if they have no one to throw to on the
outside because you just traded away your best wide receiver
in DJ Vor like, all those things add up to
a system that's not gonna work. So I hate when
I literally am sorry to go off as rand, but
we have these like people who make these articles and
make these statements, You're like, okay, clown, Like, how do
(30:32):
you know what that offense looks like? Have you seen
them on the field for OTAs a minicamp yet? Okay,
that's what I thought. Yeah, yes, can mess the ball,
you get the horns. That's a Dublin destroyer right there.
It's not that, it's just we try to sensationalize every
little bit of information and make these ridiculous comments like oh,
it's good better fit for the Okay, because Bryce Young
(30:54):
wouldn't work in a Frank Wright system, because because Frank
Wright couldn't figure out a system for Anthony Richardson, give
me a break. It's two pros and a cup of
Joe here Fox Sports Radio, and apologies if you are

and for that we turn it over to our executive producer,
(33:05):
Lee Lap. Good morning everybody. In case you missed this,
we talked about it, yes Hey Lee, Hey everybody, guys,
In case you missed this. Yesterday, we had talked about
the NFL voting to make the rule change for players
to be allowed to wear the number zero. Great news
for the for the NFL. There well, in case you're
wondering if players who might be switching to zero player
(33:28):
that's very fond to us. Micah Parsons, who of course
wears the sticks number eleven. Tweeted out, I'm switching Agent
zero coming soon. Wow. That did come with a little controversy.
His teammate Jern Curse, the safety for the Cowboys, also
said he's looking to become number zero. Wow. Well, first off,
Leavar zero a number. Wow. I don't know it is now,
(33:49):
but I mean LaVar yes, wow, Yes, I'll put it
this way. Ten ten was the number ten to he's
like the best number. And if if we I mean
we had a lineage at our high school where we
had guys who like, when you wore ten, like that
meant something. You played quarterback, that was your deal. It's
(34:11):
since been broken, which I don't even go back and
talk to some of these kids anymore because I'm so
disgusted him not understanding the history of of of our program.
But that, but I digress. When you put on the ten, okay,
like the kid of Notre Dame wearing it this year,
he gets it. The kid who was wearing it last year,
you know, little Drew Pine like he could he got it.
(34:32):
He understood what it meant to put that on. Mica.
Was that a Penn State with you? Yeah, he gets
to Dallas. He understand what the hell is he doing now? Wow? Oh,
you know he's he's being a superstar. So why is
this such a bad thing. I'm hurt. That's not even
my number, and I'm hurt. I thinks the third is fine,
(34:55):
he's good, but he's not sticking third. Oh you're always
sticks anymore? Yeah? He sticks that state. Hold on, are
you saying that though, because you played an era where
you couldn't wear sticks when you were a Washington now
commando formerly other name. No once, once you've walked through
(35:16):
that that door and you've entered through and are surrounded
by those hallowed walls of Stick City, which is a place,
by the way, it's a place you're you're always a sticks.
He sticks the third. You know what you should do.
You should call up Mica and go, hey, guess what.
We aren't not anymore one of the switch numbers. Why
(35:38):
because he's got eleven, he's got it. He doesn't need
to change. He's allowed to wear it. I mean he's
not changing it, LaVar. If you could wear eleven, so
you don't think he's going to zero? No, okay, if
you were playing and you had the opportunity to wear eleven,
you would have worn eleven. Right in Washington. Yeah, So
the idea of somebody having that at at their fingertips,
(36:00):
it's right there, they've already got it. It's it's it's there.
And then they're just going to toss into the side
and say no, no no, no, we'd rather go a zero.
That to me is an absolute disgrace and a direct
shot at you. Oh well, wow, that took a turn. Yeah,
did I ever sell a direct shot? When I got
(36:20):
traded to Denver Jabar Gaffe, he was already wearing number ten,
and I love Jabbar, Like, Jabbar was great dude. He
loved the number two. And I was like, all right,
like I'm not I'm not gonna ask or anything like that. Right,
And the following year he wasn't a part of the team,
and so ten was open. So go to our trainer.
I was like, hey, man, I was like, I'm gonna
switch to ten. He's like, okay, calls me in the
(36:42):
next day, he goes, oh, that's gonna cost sixty five
thousand dollars. I go, I'm sorry, what, why who am
I paying sixty five thousand dollars too? He goes, well,
he goes that. You know, they made so many numbers
of nine of your old one. You have to pie
out the inventory. I go, well, why is that my problem?
Like some other Yahoo made those jerseys? Now I have
(37:05):
to figure out I had to pay for him and
figure out what to do with them. And I was like,
I'm too cheap to want to sit like I'd rather
donate sixty five thousand. They put sixty five thousand purely
two a bunch of jerseys that aren't gonna be worn, which,
by the way, Jabbar Gaffney probably Yeah. You guys ever
heard the stories about Jabar gaf I don't know what
(37:26):
that means. You've told me he was really fast man. Yeah,
he had that horsepower. Was he so fast getting the city?
Had an extra foot? Yeah? Sit that he was super fast.
City looked like Shaggy when he was running. You know,
(37:48):
I don't know how he got here. But anyway I
brought up I didn't change that number for that reason.
I wonder why Jabbar Gaffney did he change his number?
Oh he was there for a year. Then after that
that was it. So the number one was open? Yeah? Yeah,
all right, yeah number for every engine. Lee what else
(38:09):
you got, guys? We had talked about will Levis throwing bombs,
but according to one NFL draft officionato, I know you
love them, Brady, he's bombing his interviews, ruining his pre
draft process, reportedly be showing off arrogance, entitlement, plus being
just bizarre, wondering why a twenty four year old is
(38:29):
not as much further ahead than high school guys. Who
excuse me, guys who graduated high school in the pandemic
just twenty four months ago. Why didn't he beat out
Sean Clifford? Levis should go day two? How about that?
I mean, I don't know who wrote it. It's probably
an anonymous deal because that's what you get this time
of year. It's all posturing, like these agents deal will
(38:52):
put out like these negative pieces about other quarterbacks. It's
such a dirty business this time. Me God, why didn't he?
I love me some, Sean Clifford. I love Sean, but
cliff talk. Come on. Fox Sports Radio has the best
