Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best of two pros and a couple of
Joe with Lamar a radiant win and Jonas knocks on
Fox Sports Radio. Come on, man, oh, come on, just
find something, pick it up and start moving it around.
Some shrugs, some flies, some rips, some dead lips, you
(00:24):
name it, start moving it. I can't tell if it
sounds like that guy like ate something and swallowed it wrong,
you know, that's all that sounds sounds like. Oh, could
be that's somebody stomped his big toe. Oh yeah, or
that one right, that's a real box body showed us
in the weight room and showed the steps on his
big oh yeah. Or I dropped like the eight pounders
(00:47):
on him. You know that's wound with Yeah, I go
with eight. That's where I'm at, you know lower. You know,
all the ways are hard to find, man, they are.
Why is that nobody? You know why it is because
they're easy to leave around. Some people just say, oh,
I'll just leave those there. It's like a paperweight. Twelves
are are We're aware at number, but they're common. Yeah,
(01:09):
that twelve and a half. Sometimes you go to certain
gems because you want to go increments of two and
a half, ten to twelve and a half to fifteens. Yeah, okay,
but just Jim talk, you know, just a couple of
guys talking Jim. You say it eights and we talking
Jim talk. Wow, it is two pros and a cup
of Joe. Though. Here on Fox Sports Radio, Savar Arrington,

come on, dump up into the casket almost dump button,
I mean, come on, Petros Papa day. Yeah, the four
(02:18):
Burger yesterday never been done in radio history. Petro's got
dumb four times one segment, like one show, okay, in
one segment. By the third time, Burnos just shaking his head.
Dump dump, My ears are bleeding. Come on, LaVar, you're
not excited for the Masters? I just love how y'all
(02:39):
like needles? This is not right out? But what's the
climb into a coffin? Yes? You know? Yeah and die
yes right now? Like just to take my life take
me jesus? Will you watch even a highlight from the Masters?
I'll watch a highlight. Okay, I'll watch the high I'll
(03:01):
read about it. I'll watch the highlights. Can we entice you? Really?
What I do? What would it take for us to
get you excited to watch more than just to highlight
for the Masters? That does tee off here in a
couple hours? Um? Maybe a adult entertainment at each hole?
Or jeez, the meaning we're full metal jacket action at
(03:24):
each hole? Which with which part where they're beating him
with the bar soap? Yeah, jelly donut, that's that's a
bit odd. Um. Yeah. Can I can I give you
something to do though? This weekend time? I want you
to turn on the Masters? Okay, okay, and I want
you to find the comfious couch. You want to just
(03:47):
take a nap, all right, all right, listen to like
the birds of the background that they pump in that
I've been real, but listen just to jim Nance whispering
Hello friends. I'm gonna sit in my bathtub and I'm
trying to do that drop a toaster in it and
just go ahead, and that could be scary. I'm not
gonna drop a toaster. Well, that's the point. That's the point.
(04:08):
I'm gonna fall asleep in my bathtub. It's actually big
enough for about Well that's the point that would be.
I mean, you're making my point. I was trying to
get your nice little DAPs in there. Yeah. Yeah, I'm
gonna take a nice forever nap. Can we get you
a snorkeld? No, I'm good like this, I'm good. I
got the masters on right in front of me. About
(04:31):
I'm not even putting bubbles in this. One last dance
and go ahead and sink sink on in real slow.
This doesn't make you feel a certain way though, yes
it does, I'm telling ya, But I mean like a
certain way, like you just gonna run it back. It's
just so funny. He's just gonna run it back. I
was over, like the song was over. But how do
you know what's over? I mean I saw like a
(04:52):
ten minute so I saw his hand. I saw Berto's hand,
just a nice paris. It wasn't in his normal place.
It wasn't in his normal resting. Yeah, that's yeah. The
weather comes on at four, all right, A nice pair
of slacks, a polo shirt. Yeah, you know, a fun belt,
don't want to get you turn it up a notch
(05:12):
where that belt buckle you got at that wyoming cow
tipping fash? Yeah, cow tipping is not proper whatever. It's
not kind to the athletes. You know that the animals
are athletes too. They're they're they're they're they're called athletes. Yeah.
At the event, well point being, you got that giant
(05:32):
there this year, y'all want to go? Why not? Seriously? Yeah?
Why not? You want to go? Que uh chyanne? Yeah,
run their days? What's that going down? Freaking dope man
into June or July something like that. I'll let you
guys know. Possibly, I'm telling you you would enjoy it.
That'd be fine, would enjoy it. I would also enjoy
(05:54):
seeing Jonas just not know what the hell to think
being out there. We do not know what to think. No,
I'll be fine, b are, please blend right in. Let
me tell you something. Blend right in. People would look
at you, especially the way you dress, because you'd stick
out out there. Oh yeah, and sea Bass might just
come over and kick your or find you install. That's
(06:16):
all right, respite. Let me tell you something. They'll know
I've been there if after I leave, like a couple
of weeks later, people start popping up in black fenax
and leather jackets. You know I can't. You can't come
as Johnny cash Man. You gotta gotta. You gotta come
with like your cowboy gear. You gotta gear up. I mean,
(06:37):
I'll buy I'll buy a bell buckle, I'll get a
hat um again, all that stuff is readily available at
Ross Dress for us, So I'll be ready to go
as we get you a whole outfit for how much
less than twenty dollars? Give him a twenty, they give
you thirty back. It's fantastic. But how about this, if
we can't entice you to getting fired up for the
(06:59):
for the Masters without camping yourself yes, yes, I have
an idea. Okay, you know how when we have these
big horse races that pop up a couple of times
a year, and we all draw a name out of
the hat, what if we throw in like the top
ten favorites heading into the Masters courtesy of our friends
at DraftKings, and then maybe don't do it again. Maybe
(07:20):
an hour three we all draw a name out of
the hat, and that's the guy we go with for
the Masters. What do you say, I don't know, that's
our pick. We kind of have to go. You know,
I've covered golf outings before. You know, they do a
pretty really Yeah, I've aired live from from the golf
course and what Bethesda, what happened? Then? Yeah, I don't
(07:41):
think anything's happened. I actually enjoy every aspect connected to golf.
I enjoy the clubhouse, I enjoy the scenery. I am
a cigar. I enjoy a cigar. I enjoy the drinks
connected to it, the food, food, I enjoy the carts like.
(08:03):
I enjoy all of it, the sounds, I enjoy all
of it. I just I'm just not into the sport itself.
It's Tiger. Tiger did something to you, man. No it's not.
It's not, it's really not. I don't know because I'm
a I'm you know, Arnie's from where I'm from, you know,
so you grow up knowing Arnie Palmer, Like that's that's
(08:23):
your deal. Like there's certain people you are indoctrinated to
when you're growing up in Pittsburgh. Yeah, and he's not
one of them. That's funny because you just said, like
Jack Nicholas is obviously from Upper Arling Center from Columbus
and yeah, you know, doubling there, and you know, and
(08:43):
you you're made a wear him out of very if
you pick up a golf club, like people get you
to try to, you know, watch like Jacks. And that's
how it is in Pittsburgh, you know. So I mean,
I'm I'm not saying I hate golf. I'm just not.
First of all, I hate that song. That song is terrible.
(09:05):
It's terrible. I mean, you were looking for a new
intro for one of the hours here? Why not the Masters?
Funny though, what would you do if I bade it
by intro? I think it would be funny, honestly, Like
that would give it a little bit a little personal
I've already got a couple of songs lined up. I
already know it all I can adapt to. I guess
I'm gonna be more creative now too, because that's kind
of funny like thinking of it though, you know. I
(09:29):
think now what I will do is I will take
two or three UM songs like maybe the Martin intro,
maybe the fall Guy Fall Guy Intro, and uh Chris
Carter American Hero, Greatest American Hero. I think I will
put that to the social media's fair and see what
(09:54):
the next one should be out of those three. You
need a golf podcast on the up on Game Network.
Just think we got to come up with a name.
What are you thinking? Nothing? No name, I'm thinking no show.
I would tell you like the nineteenth hole. But that's
every single bar at every golf course in the country.
Their culture connected to golf. Like who brings culture to golf?
(10:15):
There is, but it's the history is a little dicey
in Augusta, you know a little bit. You know it
very very exclusive. I mean, is that the place that
didn't want Tiger there? That's going on with the weather
this morning. There's certain certain rules, Yeah, I think leaves
(10:38):
controlling the Hey, you know how many times did you
think Tiger has said that to someone? Oh? God, one documented,
but probably many times, like I'm out front, yeah, whoa.
It is also interesting when you hear that drop to
(10:58):
think that, did you really need to identify himself? Right?
I mean, I mean it's a Tiger, Like it's a
mic drop, like I'm out front. He could just said hey,
you know, it's like his voice. You know, they probably
knew he was calling, you know, or leaving a message,
or letting him know that he was out front. Yeah,
don't pull out by the way or out back by
(11:21):
the way. Tiger Woods is ninety one to win the tournament.
I'm out back. Yeah, it's Tiger. It's Tiger. Come get
the door. It's it's the it's uh, I'm still downstairs.
It's the part like you don't you don't wait, and
you don't make Tiger wait. You know, it's a it's
(11:42):
a Tiger. I mean. The fact that he was able
to leave a message after she wore him out with
a nine iron while he was passed out, that's something
because that was the speculation that he was asleep. The
next thing, you know, he got a callaway wrapped around
his face. Story allegedly but you know, there's that. But hey,
he's had some interesting moment to Tiger to win the Masters.
(12:06):
Oh yeah, so yeah, so so there is that man.
But weren't we making the bets? Will he make it
out of the first round or something? Today? I believe
that was one of the tournaments. Yeah, Or would he
make the cut? Would he make the cut? Yeah? Would
he make the cut? Is there a cut for this one? Oh? Yeah? Yeah?
Do you guys think he'll make the Cutlets bet on
that one. Let's do the bet on that one. I
(12:28):
believe it's minus money for him to him to make
the cut, right, Yeah, I gotta look and make sure
the course sets up well for his game. He usually
plays well in AUGUSTA not the most difficult course in
the world right as far as game comparison to like
the the Open Championship, well, which means it's not that difficult.
Open they usually make ridiculously rough. I mean they just
(12:52):
with the way they do the greens and grow out
the rough. August doesn't necessarily try to do that. I
wouldn't say it's an easy course by the means. I
haven't played it, but I've obviously he's seen enough of
the course to know. I wouldn't say it's easy. Yeah,
it's it's gonna be fun. Though, we'll gamble on him.
I want I want to know what his odds are
to make the cuts. The better that's the better bet
(13:12):
we're gonna draft. Kings should have it. Yeah, but apparently,
I mean, Lee, are we efforting this in the back? Yeah,
we're working. I do at least take it some time off.
He was at Margaritaville again, Um doing God? All right?
So I have the numbers here, okay, right, so for
for tiger Woods to make the cut, let's go ahead
and get to go all the way down here for
(13:33):
tiger Woods. Go ahead, let's vamp here to Tiger Woods
to make the god a little some Wi Fi issue.
But you but you had it here, didn't you? Yeah?
I had definitely did. Yeah. Just listen, this works minus
one sixty five to make the cut. Tiger Woods. So
a favorite to make the cut there, lemar Arrington, if
you believe you favored. So if you bet against him
(13:54):
making the cut, then you win more money. Yeah, and
again I will effort that as well too, So just
to give him with me here a little some Wi
Fi issues here. But we'll go ahead, and oh my god,
it's gonna come up day where you can't blame it
on the Wi fire. Well, now in this place, you
can for at least a couple more weeks plus one
twenty to miss the cut Tiger Woods, you can make
(14:14):
money twenty one hundred bucks wins you one hundred and
twenty if you think Tiger's gonna miss the one hundred,
but he swind you one hundred twenty on top of
your yet. So if you are, I can tell you
right now who's gonna bet on Tiger Woods to miss
the cut just because they can't stand him, And that
would be Brady's wife. We'll definitely have to be betting.
I don't she's not a big fan. I can't can't
stand him. That's not my thing. I just don't think
(14:36):
he's that good anymore. I think. Okay, So what's your
bet here, LaVar, Well, he doesn't make the cut, all right,
plus twenty alright, you hear down there? Here you go,
you'll go plus taking bets here, taking bets. He is
a very polarizing figure in the sense of what is like,
(14:56):
my wife is not a fan. I remember when he
was when he won the Massadors a few years ago.
We were doing this to the Nate Night Show afterwards
talking about it. But he's like, yeah, well one of
us in the house was happy to see it. She
was not like, one, Well, I don't think it's just
my wife. It's like a universal thing. Like guys love
(15:17):
Tiger Woods just because I think his greatness in the
sport and maybe there's some other things you know there
they appreciate. Women do not appreciate. How maybe the But
isn't that strange because what didn't we say the women
that don't appreciate him don't appreciate him because of women
appreciating him. Yeah, right, like too many other women appreciate
(15:42):
I'm just not clear that. Yeah. No, look, I realized
there's a contradiction there, But there's probably that with most
cases when there's indifference between you know, two people. But yeah,
in in this case, I'll just I'll leave it at this.
It feels like a lot of wives out there are
not the biggest Tiger Woods and because they hadn't really
gotten over you know, it's past. Yeah, it's very very
(16:06):
They get irritated when men are like actively rooting for him,
you know, Yeah, because they think that you're into the
same things that Tiger is into. Yeah, into, but you're
like rooting for that, maybe even vicariously trying to live.
You're supportive. And then they started doing some of the
math and they go, well, you like golf. You've been
(16:26):
to a Perkins as well. You tend to park further
away from a building than necessary. You went to that McDonald. Yeah,
there's some stuff there. It also touches on something LaVar
brought up yesterday when he was like, you know, the
girls aren't that you know whatever. I also think there's
an element of a lot of the wives are like, well,
(16:47):
Tiger can get that woman, like my husband bright get
that woman too, Like it's like one of those things
I didn't pull out. I think the scary part about
it is is that Tiger could get you didn't the
upper rechailance, you could go top shells. I'm saying anything
he does it. Yeah yeah, so oh yeah, yeah, we're
making the same point. Yeah, you're right. Yeah, you're right.
What I'm saying, it's like, oh, I have to be
(17:08):
nervous because the Tigers going that low on the totem pole. Yeah,
it's it's like motivating or you're trying to get other guys.
Oh yeah, they should do that. You know. It's like
the guy, yeah, you guy, get a four mastros. Why
is he still eating sushi from seven to eleven? You
know what I mean? Yeah, but that's some people, you know,
they like, yeah, they probably have sushi at wah wahah
(17:29):
yeah everywhere. I mean, it'd be like going to up
upscale restaurant and getting a hot dog. Yeah, you know,
four nachos fair point, I mean, which they do serve nachos,
but fairn't know, or a hot pocket. Yeah right, that's
just why be there. Yeah, definitely it is. We didn't
(17:49):
get done. Be sure to catch live editions of Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar, Errington,
and Jonas Knocks week days at six am Eastern three
am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Right now, we'd rather not have anybody other than Albert Breer,
senior NFL reporter at the MMQB. Get them on Twitter
(18:13):
at Albert Brear. Becoming one of the most popular parts
of this show. Albert, what's happening Happy Thursday? Yeah, huge
connectivity on that Burner phone. Account too, that got nothing
to do with it, and I'm tired of the false accusations.
I have zero to do with it. But they are
getting very creative. I think there's multiples now because I
(18:34):
did see a couple other that we're out there talking
about your humble brag that you live on the ocean.
But I appreciate, I appreciate your ability to talking the
third person. Yeah, that is true, all right. So you
were talking, I believe it was in your mail bag
this week, and talking about the numbers that were out
on Lamar Jackson, and that the offer that the Ravens
(18:56):
had on the table currently is no longer on the table.
So what was the like, the total dollar amount in
comparison to maybe some other contracts that we've seen that
Lamar Jackson apparently wanted. No part of him was not
good enough for him. Yeah, So I believe it was
a five year extension and at or near at the
(19:16):
top of the market that of course would fold in
the franchise tag, so he'd be talking about a total
of sixty years. And my understanding is just from a
new money perspective, it would have been, you know, right
around you know, fifty million dollars a year, and like,
so then you have on top of that the first
(19:38):
four years, which I mean are virtually guaranteed at two
hundred million. So he'd be looking at like a virtual
guarantee of four years two hundred million, and then a
new money average of fifty million over five. And you
can play with the numbers all you want, but that
that was sort of what it was. And you know,
again like and I think we've been over this in
(19:58):
the past, but you know, part of it was is
it Lamar watered a fully guarantee deal and this really
is a principal thing for him. Um. I know it
sounds crazy when I'm talking about numbers like this, but
I think it was just about the money. He were
just taking the money. But you know, I think his
feeling on it is a it's not what the Shaun
Watson got from a structural standpoint, and be after all
(20:18):
he's given for five years. From an injury standpoint, he
didn't feel like it was right to give the Ravens
injury protection on the back end, which is what the
xtra years in the back end of the deal that
that ourn't guarantee would do. So so I get all
of that, I mean, does it seem like we're going
to find any progress whatsoever or is it just going
(20:41):
to take another team where maybe after the draft they
don't get a quarterback and they submit an offer sheet.
Is that is that where this is headed right now?
I mean, Brete, I think that, you know, the way
I look at this is they're like every negotiations got checkpoints,
right like, So for this negotiation, one check it was
that franchise tag deadline. Another checkpoint was to start a
(21:03):
free agency when other teams could start talking to him.
And I think like the next checkpoint would be the draft.
And the reason why is because once we get past
the draft, if a team wants to sign them to
an offer sheet, they're given up future draft picks. They're
not giving up this year's draft picks. And then of
course after that, the next checkpoint would be July fifteenth.
After July at fifteenth, you can't sign a long term
(21:25):
deal with the Ravens anymore. You can only sign a
one year deal. So I think the next checkpoints actually
pretty significant because if there aren't other teams interested starting
you know, may first, right after we get past the draft,
and when the dynamic changes a little bit. Then I
think it's hard to conjureus scenario where other teams would
(21:46):
be involved off because at that point, why would you
wait until the middle of the summer to do something
with him? So, you know, I think we're probably going
to get past the draft. You know, this is of course,
barring somebody coming in making a big offer in a
trade with the Ravens. Probably at this point we get
past the draft if there's no trade offer like that,
and then either suitors materialized or they don't. If suitors materialized,
(22:10):
then you figure it out that way. If they don't,
then I think at some point the Ravens and Lamar
have a come to Jesus meeting. But like, I think
that this whole thing is going to accelerate in one
way or another when we get to the draft, and
then we get when we get past the draft, because
I think at that point it sort of becomes time
for people to show their cards. Let me switch gears
(22:32):
on you ab and go to another quarterback in mac Jones.
You know you reported talked about the whole shopping of
mac Jones from Bill Belichick. What exactly does that mean
for mac Jones? What does that mean for the New
England Patriots moving forward. You know, it's interesting about this,
Leavar is. You know, we're all around the same age.
(22:55):
We all have coaches like this, you know what I mean,
Like that the coach and motivate in a different way
than coaches coach and motivate now, you know. And I
sort of it's interesting that Chris Sims has had a
bunch of news on this because I almost think this
is like those old stories you used to hear about
how Bill Parcels would handle Chris's dad, Phil Simms, you know,
(23:18):
and how there would be this constant like you're not
good enough, that's not good enough, you can't act this way,
that sort of stuff, you know what I mean, like
and using almost you know, fear and um kind of
putting a guy in his place to try to bring
him along. Like I think Bill Belichick actually thinks handling
a quarterback this way is the correct way to do it.
(23:39):
And in some ways it's the way he handled Brady
when he was younger, handling him like almost any other
player on the team. Um, you know, I like, I
don't think that Bill was happy. Was the way that
Mac conducted himself last year and yeah, like things weren't
weren't good for Mac, and obviously, like the offensive coaching
situation was was a mess. But if you look the way,
(24:00):
you know, Mac conducted himself and you compare it to
the way Trevor Lawrence conducted himself during the Urban Meyer match,
or you look at the way that Justin Fields conducted
himself through having a coach fired, the way to a
conducted himself through Brian Flores his situation there and then
Brian Flores getting fired. I think, you know, you look
at the other guys, you see a steadiness about them,
and you didn't see that with Mac last year. And
(24:21):
you know, so I think right now, you know, part
of this is, you know, showing Mac like, hey, you're
not on a scholarship here, you know, so that means
he's not exempt from trade discussions, you know. And I
don't think that they were like actively calling teams and
shopping him that way, you know. I think it was
more his name would come up and it wouldn't just
get shot out of the sky sky by the Patriots
(24:43):
when teams are going through each other's rosters before the combine,
during the combine and then before free agency, and so
you know, I think as much as anything else, this
is treating Mac as if he's the thirtieth guy in
the roster, because I think the Bill feels like that's
the way he played this year. And you'll be interesting
to see where it goes from here, because I do
(25:04):
think that that Belichick's going to give give Bailey's appy
a legitimate chance to compete for that job. And you know,
both those guys have been in the building every day,
and both those guys that are building our relationship with
a new offensive coordinator there, Bill O'Brien. So it's sort
of fascinating in that way, and that you know, I
do feel like like Bill Belichick is handling this situation
(25:25):
the way a coach would I guess, like when we
were kids, you know what I mean, Like that that
that sort of way. It's very, very different than the
way quarterbacks are generally handled now. Albert brierre joining us
here on Fox Sports Radio, senior NFL reporter at the MMQB.
You can get them on Twitter at Albert Brier. So
we kind of have a feeling that it's going to
be CJ. Stroud or Bryce Young, you know, one or
(25:46):
the other that's going to go one or two in
whatever order that is. And then we get to the
debate for the third quarterback, and we've got Richardson and
Levis and also Hendon Hooker is starting to make some noise.
What are you hearing that's most surprised rising amongst the
three other quarterbacks and the top five consensus from draft
scouts and people that have covered this stuff. What surprises
(26:08):
you the most about some stuff you've heard on those
three quarterbacks outside of the top two. I mean, I
would say, like, what surprises me That wouldn't have thought.
I wouldn't have thought two months ago that the most
consistent opinions across the board would be on Hooker and
not Levis or Richardson. You know, I think a big
part of you know what you're dealing with it with
(26:29):
Henn and Hooker, it's stuff like we know about, you
know what I mean, Like it's his age, it's coming
off the ACL and it said he's coming out of
like a Baylor air Ray type of offense. That's pretty simple, right,
But at the very least, like with Henn and Hooker,
you sort of know what you're dealing with. He's mature,
he's crushed it in his meetings, he's sort of like you.
(26:52):
I feel like he's to some degree like a known commodity.
Whereas with Levis and Richardson, I feel like people's opinions
are all over the place. You'll find some people who
will say, you know, Levis or Richardson could be the
best people quarterback in the class. You'll find other people
who don't like them at all and don't think they
have any business going in the first round. So, like,
I think that's probably the most surprising thing. And there
(27:13):
are teams that like Hennry Hooker more than the other two. Um,
and so I think that that's that that makes like
all three of them sort of. I guess these movable
parts once we get past the first two. And I
do think the first two will go one two. I'm
the draftdoberk. There's a certainty, but I do think they'll
go one two in the U in the draft order. Um,
you know, I think the next quarterback could go three
(27:34):
or four. I think the next quarterback could go at
the bottom of the top ten. I think there's a
lot more of a variable there than most people realize. A.
Let's have some fun. Let's talk about the aroos one
of cardinals. Yeah, whatever, I mean, it's a mess. It's
a mess, Brady. Um you know, Like I think that
(27:54):
a lot of the stuff that's happened internally there over
the last I would say ten years is sort of
coming to rouse now. And this was even when they
were winning. There were issues there, you know, Um, you know,
and I think some of the that's some of the
stuff that's in there on Steve time has lingered for
a while. Um, you know, Terry McDonald's issues we're well
documented coming into this, um you know. And then you know,
(28:17):
I think one thing you here consistently from coaches and
scouts that work there, is that ownership has been a problem.
Um you know, even this year. Like you know, I
sort I think sort of the desire to sort of
have his piece of the pie, you know, sort of
speak and to be almost like a like a I
don't want to say bootleged version of Terry Jones, but
like sort of like that, you know what I mean,
(28:39):
Like where he's he's got his hands on a lot
of different things, and um, you know, I don't think
there's any fault of the new guys there, Like I
think Moniasuport and Jonathan Giannon are really good guys who
um are You have to have a lot of promise,
you know, as as a new head coach and a
new general manager. But there's just some things about that
organization that are sort of sideways and have been sideways
(29:01):
for a long time. And to be honest with you, guys,
like it's just big a reason as Kyler Murray's contracts
as to why like some coaches were staying away from
that job back in January. I want to talk about
Carter and this, this whole the visit. I don't know
if we call it fiasco. I mean I call it
a fiasco. I think if you get invited to go
(29:22):
do interviews with the team, you go do the interview.
You don't have a job yet, and you should make
sure that you're growing your network and taking full advantage.
What has been kind of the feedback on Carter, It
just doesn't seem as though he's trending up with how
he's handling things. I mean of the questions before the
(29:46):
questions before the combine were what kind of teammate is he?
What kind of worker is he? What kind of motor
does he have? What sort of football character? Does he
have right, Like a lot of those sorts of questions,
which I like scared teams. You know, in the top
ten and the caveat there had been it's nothing criminal,
and then you get to the copbine and the arrest
(30:07):
warrants are issued and now all of a sudden you
can't have that that nothing, that nothing in criminal caveat
comes off, and now teams have a lot to dig
through as to you know, what sort of crowdy hangs
around his family, all that different stuff. Um, you know,
and I've heard it compared in some ways to Warren
Sapp you know, twenty eight years ago. Comes from the
same high schools Warren Sapp. Um, same started player as
(30:30):
Warren Stapp two. Probably the best player in this year's draft. Um,
And that's great, you know what I mean. Like and
I think that, like I know, all fans are going
to look at this and say, well, he'll grow up
and we'll handle it. Well, if you're if you're talking
about spending a top five pick on him number one,
you know, that's a that's a lot of guaranteed money,
and that's a resource that is a precious, precious resource.
(30:52):
They're gonna be spending on guy um Number two, like
guys who are there are other guys who are going
to be picked in that area that check a lot
of that don't have these problems, which gives those teams alternatives.
And then number three, you know, the player like this,
you want to have good infrastructure, and usually teams that
are drafting that high don't have that sort of infrastructure,
(31:12):
you know. And I and I heard my old buddy
Daniel Jeremiah mentioning the Eagles at the bottom of the
top ten is a possibility, and that would make a
lot of sense because they do have infrastructure, you know,
good coaching staff, a veteran team, a couple of his
ex teammates, and Jordan Davis and the Kobe Dan there already,
you know. But I'm with you, like I just I
think it's one of those things where like the Eagles
(31:35):
could tell you we're taking him, we're taking you, and
then another guy that Egles like follows him, they take him,
and all of a sudden, maybe you have teams at eleven, twelve,
thirteen they really like him as a player, but haven't
had the chance to talk to him enough, so they
aren't comfortable with it. So so yeah, I mean, I
Drew Rosenhous has been doing this for a long time.
He actually was more in Stapp's agents, so he's been
(31:55):
through this before, and maybe they do have a promise.
I just think it's a risky proposition in this situation
to say no to anybody who wants to talk to
the kid. Albert, we are joining us here on Fox
Sports RADIOH got a couple more minutes with Ab on
a Thursday. Albert, So, I was noticing a theme here.
I'm looking at our friends from DraftKings have some props
up for the NFL Draft, and I'm seeing, all right,
(32:18):
So CJ. Stroud is projected to be and he's the
favorite to be the first quarterback taken. And then I
go over to the wide receivers. I see Jackson Smith
and jigbas the first projected to be the first wide
receiver take. And then I go over to old line.
I'm saying, there's no possible way this is continuing. And
then I see Paris Johnson Junior is the favorite to
be the first offensive lineman selected. And I don't know
(32:39):
about you, Albert, but it just feels like that there's
a common theme when it comes to all these positions
in the draft. Have you noticed this theme as well too? Wow,
come on, last season on him? You're putting it on him,
not Ryan Day Settling were a fifty plus yard and
(33:02):
had that kid ever hit a fifty plus yard field goal?
Wasn't that the story? I think that's right. I don't
think Rugs hit one. I don't think so. Yeah, I mean,
I like, you know, you know, here's many defensive players
drank that highly that he used to write. Yeah, it's unfortunate.
I mean, what do we think it is? Jackson Smith
(33:23):
and Jig but the slam dunk to be the first
wide receiver taken or I've have seen that some of
the money has come down on CJ. Strout at the
top and Paris Johnson is sitting at a slight favorite.
Do you feel in confident in that, Albert? I think
I put it this way. I think right now I
would bet on Jackson being the first receiver taken over
(33:44):
CJ being the first quarterback. Right now. My guest right
now would be Bryce Young is the first overall pick
to Carolina. UM and it's for two reasons. Two reasons
I would say I would say number one. UM. I
know like he blew Frank Raich away in the meeting, right, like,
So that's number one. Number two. Have you guys heard
(34:04):
of the S two tests? I'll explain it. What is it? So?
This is like this cognitive test, right like that, Like
Joe Burrow did fantastic on it a couple of years ago,
and a lot of it's It basically tests how like
how fast guy's process? Right? Um, There's been a lot
of NFL investment in this test, and there are a
(34:27):
lot of owners who believe that there is a real
correlation between the results of this test and how a
quarterback assimilates into the NFL. My understanding is Bryce Young
knocked that out of the park the same way Joe
Burrow did. Justin Field scored really well on that test too.
I'm not going to say we're Justin Fields and Joe Burrow,
what those two have in common? Interesting? But Bryce, but
(34:52):
Bryce Young did really really well on that test, and um,
you know, my understanding is that David Pepper, the Panther's owner,
puts a lot of stock that thing and what was
really anxious to get the results of it. Um, So,
like I think Bryce doing really well on the meeting
with Frank, Bryce doing really well on that test. Um.
I like, I think the size question is something that
(35:14):
the Panthers are still wrapping their heads around. UM. But
I do think like Pepper was sort of maybe in
the Stroud camp before this, and like I I just
having heard what I heard about, like how Bryce doing
that test, I wonder I sort of think now that
that may be enough to swing them to the other side.
And you put that together with how how I heard
(35:35):
Bryce did with Frank, and I'd sort of give give
give Bryce a slight edge over CJ to go first overall, right,
how about that? No bias, just a professional through, you know, Joan,
If I'm a journalist, yes see. And I don't care
how many Burner accounts Brady comes up with when it
comes to you and in your phone is the blame
now and account after? Like I think my phone It's
(35:58):
like I think my phone is pitch a perfect game?
Right it is? Yeah, it absolutely is. Albert Breer, senior
NFL reporter at the MMQB. Get him on Twitter at
Albert Breer. Good stuff. Thanks, AB will do to get
next week. There he is. We are to you. By
the way, he didn't have any phone issues. Did he No,
he didn't. I was disappointing. Yeah, I was actually proud
(36:21):
of him. Yeah, I was looking forward to it. That's
always part of the conversation. I was listening for the
door time or the backup mirror of the backup noise. Right.

rather your random topics? Sports or otherwise? All right, Lee
de Lap, what do we got, fellas? I'm interested to know.
(37:27):
Would you rather win the Masters or the Super Bowl?
As a bench player who didn't play it down all
season and like the Masters, you're you're winning it playing
it yes, correct the Masters Masters. Yeah, I know you
was looking like Leavar is gonna winning is Miami? Can
you imagine to them donning Leavar with the green shack
(37:50):
man with a nice pair of green Jordans? Come on, man,
I know you get them in the closet, just smiling
as they put them on. We could probably even get
Tiger to do it. Might even match with your grin shoes, nus,
it's different greens. Yeah, it's too bad. That would be
That would be pretty dope though. Yeah. If I could
double down on Tiger putting on me again, Yeah, well,
(38:11):
I don't have a problem with Tiger. You can put
the jacket on if I was winning. I just feel
like every time we bring them up, there's something there. Man.
I don't know. If you guys cross paths and maybe
he was like something something to pass, there's something there.
I really could care less, honestly, I don't. I don't know.
Did he make your waitress take too long to bring
(38:33):
the check? Is that what happened? Like you were there
waiting for the check and pull out? Oh, I mean
he did and fair, I did pull out, but what
did he pull out of a tournament? Oh? What else? Guys?
At the NBA trade deadline, the MAVs had a fifty
(38:54):
eight percent chance of making the playoffs. Now it's six percent.
My question, would you rather have Kyrie Irving as a
teammate or Antonio Brown? That might be the best one
you've ever come up one? Man. I mean, I'm a
quarterback I've worked out with maybe once a while ago,
(39:15):
and he was a cool dude. Then he's talented as hell,
So I don't know, I'd probably pick a B. I mean,
I think I would go. I'm gonna go Antonio Brown.
I'm gonna go, man, I don't know, I'm gonna go
(39:38):
Kyrie Irving just because he used he uses the incense
to to kind of purify energies and stuff like that.
And I mean, who who you know who could go
wrong with purifying energy and stuff. I guess with Kyrie,
I feel like you have to worry about like these
odd conversations you're gonna have about the world flat or
(40:01):
whatever makes some conspiracy theories. With Antonio Brown, it's like,
I mean, he could just have a bad day, burn
his feed in the cryo chamber, you know, not like
the helmet he swhere, like there's a lot of other
issues that come along with that. So that's that's a
tough one. That's a good one. Let's see, we're not
trying to it's not be his friend, it's be his teammate.
(40:21):
And everywhere saying though is a disaster. Like we could
be walking out to the court and man, did you
hear this theory ran off of field but naked? Yeah,
but he did. He could have his pants on, but
I mean still was close enough. I mean he joined
Dallas and it was like, man, Luca finally got a player,
he finally got a teammate, and it's been downhill everything.
(40:44):
You've got a six percent chance of making the playoffs.
Now it's invest I mean, ab joined the Bucks. They
want a super Bowl. Yeah, I mean, Kyrie's got a championship.
I mean, I'm just I don't know. I think Kyrie goes.
I don't know. I mean, I think it's a great question.
Questions great, great, great. Well, in fact, let me tell
you something. Somebody's gonna steal that. Who's listening on some
(41:06):
sort of a sports TV debate show. You're gonna see
that on their Yeah, and they're not going to give
any credit to lead the lap and you know he's
going to be feeding him that information, probably Todd. That's
why it's terrible. All right, leave all right, slid downhill
for him. Here here we go, Here comes, there we go,
Here we go from Kyrie and ab two Sylvester Salone
(41:27):
and Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you could only watch sylvestor Salone
movies or Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, which one would you rather
go with? One? Please on it today? You give the
guy some time off he comes. Oh man, Rocky is
Rocky is Rocky? I was just gonna say, like you,
(41:51):
but Predator and kind of Predators only one movie though,
but there was three? Well, yeah, he was only one.
He was only on one. Can you watch Umping Iron?
Just Pumping Iron Kettles I'm a Arnold. Oh that's a
good one because there's some classic one liners in that
that you'll never be able to play these days. One
ways with Danny de Vito, what's that? Yea yeah, Kindergarten
(42:15):
cop awful movie. That's another recall. Yeah, uh, I gotta
go with with Sylvester, just just because Rocky is Rocky. Yeah. Both.
If if Rocky wasn't a part of the conversation, like
if if Sylvester still want have never made it, it'd
(42:35):
be like a Rambo versus terminator, and I probably would
Lean Schwarzenegger. I'm with I'm with LaVar, I'm taking I'm
taking Sly. Yeah. I mean, if you're a housekeeper, you
definitely watch stallone over Arnold. Is that right? Yeah? You
know that's that supposed to me. I mean, but isn't it?
Isn't it Arnold? That No, Okay, let me stay with Arnold.
(42:58):
You know what else or not? Guys? Would you rather
be a fish or a bird? What type of fish,
what type of bird, bird, whatever kind of bird you want,
whatever kind of fish you had, ass the eagle, I'd
rather be an orca whale. Yeah, that's pretty good. Yeah,
(43:19):
nobody's hunting me. I'm the hunter. It's just kind of
like very depressed. I'm afraid of hosts. I'm afraid. What's that?
I mean, everything gets banged up out there. It feels
it's difference between the water and the sky. The water
fields depressing. The sky fields kind of bull water is
(43:40):
like peaceful. You ever seen Deadliest Cat like when I
