(01:14):
So John Lynch, who's had many quarterbacks go through the
building there in the Bay Area with the San Francisco
forty nine ers, he's had a lot of moving parts,
the Jimmy Garoppolo stuff. There was, you know, a rumors
about other quarterbacks. There was a mac Jones rumor. Then
they went ahead and traded away all those first round
(01:35):
picks and they took Trey Lance and then they grabbed
mister irrelevant and Brock Purty and he became the starter. Well,
there's been these rumors now that we talked yesterday about
of the potential trade of Trey Lance this offseason. So
the forty nine ers GM John Lynch spoke yesterday about
all those rumors.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Take a listen.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
You know, I think there's there's a lot of smoke
really that it hasn't been extremely active and it's not
like we've put it out there that hey, we're taking
offers for Trey call one eight hundred. You know, like
it's that's not been the process. You know, people's job
in this is to ask questions. Has that been Has
that happened on a couple occasions, sure, but hasn't been
(02:15):
that sub substantive. And and you know, like I said,
we're focused, as is Trey, on his ability to compete
and play an integral role on this team. Trey and
I have talked and we're on the same page. And
Trey knows exactly where the situation is. His mindset is
all about competing, and I think that's exactly where his
(02:35):
mindset should be. I expect Trey to be here, and
you know, we're excited about Trey's ability to compete and
what he can do for our franchise, just as we
were when we drafted Trey. And and I think the
only thing that's changed this offseason is that Trey's gone
and got himself healthy now.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
John Lynch also did point out that the fact that
brock Perty has banged up and injured is kind of
playing into the fact that, you know, maybe there won't
be a trade of Trey lance there. But nonetheless, this
is going to be a fascinating quarterback competition, if you will,
if it's even that at this point between brock Purty
and Trey Lance as the forty nine ers try and
(03:13):
finally win a Super Bowl with Kyle shanahana John Lynch
there at the Helm.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
Look, John Lynch is saying all the right things, and
I think he also probably believes in making people say no,
you know, calling them or even if it seems unlikely,
He's still going to call and search out all options
and make you say no to them. So they might
be saying they're listening to calls. The interesting thing about
this report when it came out is, you know who
(03:40):
else would put that out there besides the forty nine ers.
You know, it's not like Trey Lance's agent's going to
float that out that the forty nine.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Ers are listening to calls.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
It's probably the team trying to maybe drum up some
interest or let people know that maybe the door is
open to them potentially moving on and trading him. I mean,
you do have Sam Darnold, He's got some experience, A
former first round pick I think would be good in
Kyle Shanahan's system. Brock Purty, even though he talked about
potentially missing the twenty twenty three season. I think we
feel like the timeline could shape out where he would
(04:09):
be able to be back in time for the start
of the season.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
To what degree would be he'd be one hundred percent,
we don't know.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
And there's still some veteran guys you can go out
there and get and potentially a draft pick you could
make if you're the forty nine ers and you want
to go that route.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
So everything's on the table at this point in time.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
But I remember back in the past when there's rumblings
about some discontent between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. It
was reported that Lynch reached out to Bill Belichick and
see if Tom Brady potentials on the trade.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Block, and that's just what you do.
Speaker 6 (04:40):
So whether it was Aaron Rodgers, who they were rumored
as well to be a knocking on the door of
the Green Bay Packers if things fell through the Jets,
And now you're talking about this potential opportunity where I'm
sure if you're John Lynch, you're listening to some calls
and you're maybe potentially calling around some other teams, getting
a feel or what the landscape might look like, especially
(05:02):
with a team like the Tennessee Titans that could be
interested given who their general manager is now with Ran Carthon,
And if you have a pass working relationship with that
you know now general manager, it's probably easier to work
out trade compensation and work out a deal because you
know how those guys operate.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
And it also it is worth noting that the one
quarterback that they've been open about definitely not wanting to
be a part of the team next year was Jimmy Garoppolo.
Like they did make that very very clear that Jimmy
Garoppolo absolutely would not be in the building, you know,
I mean because he didn't do anything for them, like
there was no success with grom.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
That was Kyle Shanahan's saying that, though.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Can you like talk to somebody in the Bay Area
and find out what the hell will happen between Jimmy
Garoppolo and them? Is it just because he decided to
have a surgery last year and he screwed up a
potential trade for them?
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Is that what that was all about?
Speaker 3 (05:52):
He did kind of, you know, make it up to
him and bail him out when Trey Lance got injured.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
I mean honestly that that whole situation was a bit bizarre,
you know, considering you at least from the outside, it
doesn't seem like there's any sort of there was an
altercation or argument or disagreement. It seems like they're on
good terms. But for him to make that declare that,
you know, with so much clarity, I mean, usually we
(06:20):
got coach speak, right, coaches speak in manners in which
you go, well, you could take that a number of
different ways, or he really didn't say much. He just
kind of said a lot, but there wasn't any substance
to it. No, that was pretty clear like that a
lot of substance.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Jim Croppol is not going to be on that team, right, Yeah, no,
I don't envision that happening. No, no, no, He's definitely
not going to be here. It is that that was
funny how they pointed that out. Now, if Trey Lance,
and let's just let let's play this out, if Trey
Lance ends up not being the guy in San Francisco
and who knows you mentioned and you talked about it
(06:54):
yesterday as well too, the potential of you know, Tennessee
being a trade partner for them, so you traded away
three first round picks to draft Trey Lance and he
ended up getting beat out for the job by mister irrelevant.
So should they get credit for identifying mister irrelevant as
(07:14):
a starting quarterback in the NFL? Or should they get
criticism for trading away that much to draft a guy
that ultimately ended up starting four games for them potentially
before they decided to offload him or put him in
the bench, on the bench behind Rock. Perty's a starting
quarterback there which would be inside?
Speaker 6 (07:34):
The answer is yes, okay, very good Man said you
have both true. Yes, I mean both and both can
be true. You know you can you can feel like
you've you've made a mistake again.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
I still think there's more to that story and their.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
Intent to move up and what potentially was supposed to
happen that didn't happen. But either way, they end up
taking a quarterback who has high upside and a skill
set they thought may they can work with. Maybe they
feel like it hasn't worked out so far. I mean,
only the people behind closed doors knows knows what's happening.
But then they also found someone who they feel like
fits what they're looking for, and that's why they spent
(08:11):
the very last pick of the draft on brock Perty
and looks so far he's done a tremendous job. I mean,
you couldn't ask him to do more in his rookie year.
I'm just curious to see, you know, with the surgery
he had. For baseball pitchers we always say, or even
baseball players, you know, they come back throwing stronger. Uh,
will he have a stronger arm from all this will
take in some time to adjust and adapt to how
(08:33):
his arm feels, don't We don't know. I mean, he
doesn't even know at this point. It's too early in
the rehab process to tell. So that's what I'm curious
to see, is, you know, if he can replicate and
become the player that we saw and grow from that
from last season. You know, otherwise is it the Sam
Darnold show or is you know, Trey Lance gonna have
to be a part of this roster moving forward, because
(08:54):
it'd be too risky right now to move on from
him and then go into this season with only one
healthy quarterback at this current point.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
On the roster. Now again, they would add.
Speaker 6 (09:05):
Someone and Kyle Shanning gets the most out of the guys.
He plays right, Like, no one knew Nick Mullens unless
you're really into the draft, and you kind of saw
his path from Southern miss until you know, he got
some burn time and he started playing and you saw
that he was capable of right, and he started putting
up some numbers and he you know, had success early
(09:27):
on at least with Kyle Shanahan, but no one knew
him before that. So it's not like the forty nine
ers are scared of bringing it a quarterback that's not
necessarily known but has the skills that they're looking for.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
And Shanahan talked about during the course of the season,
there was rumblings that he was a fan of Brock
Purty throughout training camp, like they loved everything about brock Purty.
So the opportunity that he got, Shanahan was really excited
about because he felt like he could do, like he
could see great things from Brock Party and they saw
him last year. You've talked about how the respect level
(10:01):
for Kyle Shanahan as a play caller and what he
does with quarterbacks around the league is immense. If if
Trey Lance looks like a guy that they were willing
to part ways with how many teams around the league
do you think are given a side eye to Hey,
if Kyle Shannon couldn't get Trey Lance to work in
his system, is able to work anywhere else?
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Like does?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Like?
Speaker 3 (10:23):
What is his trade value based on his time in
San Francisco, the injury, everything that came across came along
with it. I just wonder what they could get in
return for something like Trey Lance. Who if Kyle Shannian
can't make it work, who the hell else in the
league can make it work.
Speaker 6 (10:38):
Well, I'll say this, he didn't get to play enough
I think to make that declaration.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
You know, he needs to play more in Star more
and I was a four starts. That's that to me
is not enough.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
No, So I'll start by saying that I don't think
he's you know, if they want to move on, it's
probably because they feel like they've got someone who's a
year behind Trey Lance and they has already shown them
more progress and they're willing to go with him, at
least in the short term. But I don't know that
they're willing to, you know, even move on at this point.
(11:09):
And I also don't think they gave enough time to
really have a strong idea of what he's capable of
in a Kyle Shanahan system.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
I feel so bad for Trey Lance. Man, it sucks.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
I do too, because it becomes a story. And again
you've got four starts, that's it.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
You know.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
I've always said this quarterback is the boast developmental position
in all of sports. It takes experience, it takes reps.
Every quarterback has a different learning curve and there's nothing
wrong with that.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
You know.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
I was slow to take on reading, you know, it
took me a while to do that. I'm working with
my oldest daughter now in that where she kind of
has more following in my suit.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
But you know, over.
Speaker 6 (11:46):
Time, like you can become great at it, you know,
if you work at it and once it finally clicks.
And I think, you know, for quarterbacks, it's like that
for a lot of guys. For brock Purty, it obviously
clicked a lot faster and a lot quicker, but.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
That doesn't mean it's it's not going. For Trey Lance. Again,
he's only had four starts, Like that's not.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
Much, and he's a guy, Like look at the difference
in their college careers. Brock perty played for four years. Yeah,
he had a ton of experience. I mean a ton
of experience at Iowa State. You look at Trey Lance,
he really started one year and he got an exhibition
game because of how things were impacted by COVID, and
they had to have thought that he was going to
(12:23):
be a bit of a project coming into the league
they had to have whereas Perty's got all this leadership
experience playing quarterback and just playing experience at the position
and live game reps which you can't replace. So it's
a little easier transition in that sense for Pretty to
walk into a live game and operate than it is
Trey Lance, who had a gap in time in which
(12:44):
he really played some meaningful football, by the way, a
lower level in playing that meaning meaningful football. So there's
a lot of reasons I think you can draw to,
you know, how we got to where we're at. Injuries
are the biggest thing, but outside of that, it's it's
a lack of you know, development, lack of experience, all
those things. And if you're San Francisco, do you gamble
(13:06):
moving on from a guy you gave up a lot
to get and then potentially you know, rocking with two
guys and have to bring in another new quarterback in
to make it three, to give yourself some depth.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
So when it comes to Trey Lance, he between college
and the NFL, he started five games in three years.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
That's that's pretty.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Wild, man.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
And then the idea that the book would be written
on him after that amount of time. It just and
you've talked about it before, just how cutthroat the NFL is,
Like you figure it out fast, and sometimes you have
you have time, and sometimes you don't.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
It feels like it's he doesn't.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
It's really the first impressions, you know, it's it's the
stigma when you come into the league and what you're
trying to overcome.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Because people will try to write a book on you
like that was one of.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
The most fascinating things to me about guys who decide
to declare early. And nowadays, you know, fun office and
the scouting departments, they're more kind of aware of some
of those guys, but a lot of them do not,
you know, prep as much for guys who aren't draft
eligible or I should say aren't draft eligible, guys who
haven't exhausted all of their draft eligibility.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
You know, most front offices and scouts.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
They'll focus on all the guys who they know are
done and will be coming out if they're in school,
and then they'll focus on some of the other guys
who are going to declare as well. But you never know,
especially with quarterbacks, if some of these guys decide to
come back, and so you might you know, do a
lot of research on them, and then they go back
to school for another year, and then you're going back
to the you know, back to the drawing board and
and you know, doing another year of college work and
(14:39):
in depth knowledge on them. But it's always funny when
when guys declare early. Sometimes often they're they're looked at
more as oh, he's got potentially, he's got upside. You know,
they don't view him as much of a finished product.
When you exhaust all your eligibility, every single front office
and scout and and even some coaches as well, they'll
start nippicking and they'll start, you know, really tearing the
(15:00):
way of what the player is just because they exhausted
all their eligibility in college. And that's the odd thing
about the draft process. And then once you get in
the league, having to overcome some of those stigmas. They
get attached to you from that evaluation, you know, as
you walk into the draft.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Well, speaking of the draft, be sure not to miss

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here
coming up in we'll call it less than ten minutes
from now, we are going to have ourselves some more
over unders. We're giving you a different batch each day
as we get closer to the NFL Draft. So we're
gonna have some NFL Draft over unders here coming up
at about ten minutes from now here from the ti
raq dot com studio. So you kind of brought up
(16:54):
that there was a receiver for Colorado who was entering
the transfer portal following their spring game, which got rave reviews.
You had like forty seven thousand people there. You had
like the buzz, you know, was palpable. Everybody talking about it.
Apparently he was not the only one entering the transfer portal.
We're looking at just shy of twenty players have entered
(17:16):
the transfer portal from Colorado spring game on Saturday. So
the real important question to ask here.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Is what the hell happened?
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Because some of this was not like it seems like
there was some people that were surprised by some of
the announcements, but Dion Sanders did say afterwards that there
was still work to do, that they needed to find
players that matched what they were looking to do. And
so was this deon Standers talking to these players and saying, hey,
(17:46):
appreciate it, but we feel like we're going to go
in a different direction. Go get into the portal and
find out what else is out there for.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
You, because we're going to go move on to some
other players here.
Speaker 6 (17:57):
In essence, I mean, you had heard when he first
got there the speech that Prime gave talking about he's
bringing Louis with him as far as the luggage, and
Shodor Sanders, his son obviously is there. Travis Hunter, the
outstanding cornerback and what probably could be a two way player,
and he might need him to play both ways given
the lack of depth they're going to have. And so
(18:18):
you've got about twenty players of enter the transfer portal.
Now he had a bunch enter two when he first
got there. And so if I'm looking at this and
I think he's gonna have I forget how many players
they got on scholarship.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
But it's not a lot.
Speaker 6 (18:33):
I mean, you're talking about the potential of what sixty
additional players that he could add, you know, through.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
The transfer portal. It's crazy to think about.
Speaker 6 (18:44):
And you know, maybe he's allowing some of these young
men to go look.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
And see what they can get and come back.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
Just because a player puts his name in the transfer portal,
it does not mean that they're gone.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Now.
Speaker 6 (18:55):
Some coaches, as I said yesterday Steve Sarkisian and said, look,
if you put your name in the transfer port you're
off our team. You know, we don't need you to
you know, not be committed to us and want to
look elsewhere. We would rather you just go ahead and
move on. Some coaches don't feel that way. Some coaches say, okay,
if you want to go look, go ahead, because we
would like you to go talk to other places. And
(19:16):
if you come back, we know you're probably reaffirming that
you are that much more committed to us.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
So there's different perspective and approaches to this.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
But I think the hard thing for Colorado is we
talked about this yesterday. For them to have success, you've
got to build a foundation. And I think, look, what
makes coaches good coaches is when you play the strengths
of the players you've got, and this isn't that method
of doing that.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
You know, this is saying we need to bring another guys.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
I just I don't know who you're going to get
at this point that's going to come in and be
better than maybe some of the players that you just
spent an entire spring evaluating and maybe developing to a degree.
And now you've got even more guys who are jumping
ship Like this kind of spells more of a more
difficult fall to me, And I think what year one
(20:08):
could look like for Colorado than them having more success,
Because as much as we want to act like there's
gonna be a bunch of kids who are are going
to jump ship and join Colorado and have an impact,
they might get some talented players, but it's also sending
an awkward message where you're like, all right, like.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Do I want to really jump ship to this? Is
this like a year to year thing.
Speaker 6 (20:29):
It's hard to build a culture and environment when you
essentially got guys who are there for a year or
two kind of testing the waters to even see if.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
They like being there.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
So it's it's it's a very odd situation that's going on.
And I know we've seen examples of people in the
past who want to build up their you know, their
team using the transfer portal, but that's not ideal. If
you really look at the best teams in the country,
they're gonna build much like an NFL team would when
(20:58):
they utilize the draft. They're gonna use high school recruiting
as that, and then they supplement in the players who
don't develop or don't pan out with using the transfer portal,
much like an NFL team does.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
With free agency.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
So they're very similar in the way in which they
work and should be building their roster. And as we
see every year in the NFL teams that usually make
big splashes in free agency, it might work for a
year and sometimes it's just a lot of money spent
that doesn't work at all, but it's not sustaining. That's
not really the model that any team wants to abide by.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
I mean, it did bring some buzz back to the
Pac twelve, so there is that, you know, with UCLA
and US le leaving, But yeah, I don't know what
the expectation would be for this team, and I wonder
how bad, like how bad would it have to get
before people start giving a side eye to Deon Sanders, going, yeah,
this isn't where you came from, Like, this is different.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
This is you know, you thought you could step right in.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Like, I just wonder if he's going to be given
what kind of grace period is he going to be
giving because there's a lot of people who bought tickets,
there's a lot of buzz that we talked about.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
There with Colorado.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
I just wonder what the grace period's going to be
like for him there because they were an awful team
last year. So they just win two three games. That's
a significant improvement over where they were last year.
Speaker 6 (22:16):
And yeah, I mean I think he's got a plenty
of plenty of landing strip, you know where he's got
time to build this thing if he wants to. I
think it more depends on you know. Two to three
wins is a dramatic improvement for what they were a
year ago. Yeah, and you you have to look at
it and think that way. Now, their schedule is difficult,
as we had kind of pointed out, especially in the
(22:36):
beginning of their schedule.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Yeah, I mean, just to.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
Start off the season, but look, Dyl Morris's is back
at quarterback. You know, he won the starting job for
them last year at TCU and got hurt, and then
Max Duggan took over and Damn Near won a Heisman.
So we'll see what Dylan Morris has to to, you know,
kind of follow that up. And Sunny Dyke's with making
a college football playoff, so that won't be easy. But
(23:02):
even USC is stacked again with KILEB Williams the Rainning
Heisman Trophy, winter coming back UCLA. I mean, it's not
like these schools now aren't going anywhere yet. They're still
a year away from that. And you know, again we
can come through the schedule. We've already done that. I
think he's got plenty of time to build this the
way he feels like he needs to. But still, you
(23:23):
have to be cognizant of high school recruiting, like that's
the only way you're going to be able to bring
the type of character kids you want that haven't been
anywhere else, that don't know anything else to be able.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
To do it the way you want to do it.
Speaker 6 (23:35):
When you start bringing kids who've been to other schools,
much like free agents, you know, they're a free agent
in the NFL, is largely buying him because you've paid him.
You paid him the most of anyone, so he's contractually obligated.
Now you might say, well, is that happening in Nil
It's not supposed to work that way. If you're paying
a bunch of kids and you're in enticing them or
(23:57):
inducing them to come to your school because of an offer,
that's technically illegal. So they should be coming more just
for an opportunity to play. And if that's the case,
you know, there might be some things that come along
with it. But in the case of Colorado, that's all
they're coming there for. You know, if they're coming there,
you know, to play football. They're not coming for the degree.
They're not coming for because they care about you know,
(24:19):
representing the Buffalo's or you know that alumni or whatever else.
They're just coming there to play for Dean and see
if they can get on the field and make some noise.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
That's it.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
And so if things go south, like like the question
you asked, Yeah, those players could have a hard time then,
you know, wanting to buy into the culture there because
they weren't in part of it in the first place.
They've already you know, came from one or two other
schools that they ended up transferring from.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
No, it could be worse for anybody watching Colorado football.
You could go back to nineteen seventy one when they
decided to replace the natural grass at fulsome field with
some astro turf.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Tell you that such a great point.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
And by the way, did you know artificial turf on
football field olds causes thirty two percent more contact knee injuries.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
That's right.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
American grass seed company Pennington is on a mission to
ban turf fields. Do it now, and they've got the
hashtag flip the Turf movement going on so good at
Pennington dot com slash flip the turf now to learn
more and sign the petition for teams to stop using
turf hashtag flip the turf, use real grass.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Two pros and a cup of Joe.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Here on Fox Sports Radio, we are going to have
another edition of would you Rather coming up here in
about twelve minutes from now from these Tirak dot com studios.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
But right now it is time for another edition of this.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
Time to put your money where your mouth is.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
I have been loading only aligning low life family the general.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
It's over under all, right, So it is Draft week
here at Fox Sports Radio, and so we've been doing
over unders. We're getting you set for the draft by
doing a different batch of over unders each day. It
is time for two of this little extravaganza here and
so lead to laugh.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
What do we got today?
Speaker 8 (26:04):
We start with a big name, that being Jalen Carter,
who we've seen slip down the draft a few of
the draft boards out there.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
His draft position is currently over under six and.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
A half under.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
Oh who do you think Seattle Detroit?
Speaker 2 (26:21):
I mean either.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
I just think even if four quarterbacks go in the
top six picks, you've still got two of the players.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
And I think he's one of the top two.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
I think he's one of I think might be the
best overall prospect that we're just talking about football here,
So him and Will Anderson, either other two or maybe
Tyree Wilson, depending on how team feels. But I think
that's he's he's too good to me to pass up on.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
I just think he's too good to pass up on.
I'm gonna take the under.
Speaker 8 (26:51):
Now, in the place of LeVar, we have a special guest.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
We have Roberto picking.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Yes, Berto, Hey, Berto, who are you picking for?
Speaker 7 (27:03):
No?
Speaker 3 (27:03):
No?
Speaker 4 (27:04):
No, no, no, no, no, what do you get? What do
you got? I think he's so good to pass up
on him going with the underhim.
Speaker 6 (27:13):
You know, he strikes me as the type of a player.
You know he talking about Jaalen Carter. He's just gonna
stand in the middle of the ring and fight Bernough.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
You know, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
Better.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
Berto will claim him. Not Ryan Garcia pretty.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Takes a liver shot. Berto's like, so what.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Todlers would have took it like a champ. It is
funny though, with Ryan Garcia. You know who does claim him?
Speaker 2 (27:38):
The women.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
The women all claim him. The medico. Yeah, they don't
want any party.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
I mean, that is a good looking dude.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I watched it at my wife's family's house and were
having a party, and all the guys are rooting for
Tank Davis and all the women are rooting for Ryan Garcia.
And it was and I was and it was all
Mexicans except for me. I see what's happening here.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Just to make sure you know, no one goes on
a skydiving.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Event with them, and don't worry about it, all right.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
I'm just saying you might not get a coming back.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
I had somebody I had somebody on my back to pale.
All right, you can play this? Yeah, yeah, what else
we got?
Speaker 2 (28:15):
Lee?
Speaker 8 (28:15):
Guys, Yesterday everybody took the under of three and a
half for ACC players drafted in the first round. Today
we're going Big twelve, and the over under for players
from the Big twelve drafted in the first round is
at four and a half.
Speaker 6 (28:29):
So Quentin Johnston obviously is on that list. B Sean
Robinson on that list, even though that's that's subject.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
To change here, h Tyree Wilson.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Yeah, Tyree, for sure, for sure. Will McDonald, I don't know,
this is tough. He said, four and a half.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Four and a half.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
My guy Fau out of Kansas State, Felix, my guy Fau.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
You're just calling an fa you can see. Don't know
how pronounce his name.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Of course I know how to pronounce it. We're just
you were up against the clock, so I.
Speaker 6 (29:05):
Just didn't I'm gonna I'm gonna say I'll take the
I'm gonna take the under.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
I think they get four.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
How about you, Burdo under?
Speaker 8 (29:15):
Alright, Lee, all right, guys, we kind of spoiled one,
so I'm gonna I'm gonna jump one here Stetson Bennett
is seen as some is gonna be undrafted, but you
could find an over under on his draft round at
five and a half over over.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
Yeah, I mean first off, And I don't know why,
like whenever that what it came up last week in
regards to CJ. Strepp, people were like, well, how do
you feel about Stetson Bennett. I was like, hey, pal,
go listen to me. Be critical of Stetson Bennett for
the decisions that he made and not go to SI
Senior Bowl instead get popped for a.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
D U I or what. It wasn't a dy it
was it public intoxication. I mean we were very critical that. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:52):
I mean, look, the reality is that, to me was
a horrible decision. He's improved himself immensely from last year's
now Sational championship to this most recent year. But I
think there's gonna be teams that are are concerned with
that sort of thing. I just I think it's more
of the over or too.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Yeah, he's not getting drafted. He's a bum. Oh geeze okay,
geez guys. We were talking about offensive tackles.
Speaker 8 (30:18):
Brady had mentioned mentioned Paris Johnson Junior his draft positions
at nine and a.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
Half under, I will take the over m Yeah, I'm
gonna go with the over under.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Love a perso.
Speaker 8 (30:37):
And guys, I have one last one. I'm gonna actually
jump ahead, mister irrelevant. Final pick of the draft. Will
that be an offensive player or a kicker? Or will
that be a defensive player or punter?
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Offensive player?
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah, offensive player, I mean after you're you're usually more defensive, but.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Yeah, I mean after I feel like it's been.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
A lot of offensive players lately, hasn't it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
And plus with Brock Purty, you know it's a copycat league.
They're gonna go, oh, we could get a quarterback last
pick of the draft and have him start an NFC
title game.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah, you know, copycat league.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Let me do some research in this for.
Speaker 7 (31:14):
Me.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Okay, you are a hell of it.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with the offense.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
That man. That's some fast research there.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Yeah, I mean you know I type fast. I have
worked very fast.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
How about that? Huh?
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Yeah, you can clearly tell the difference between the Wi
Fi here.
Speaker 4 (31:33):

what's quick? And then lady was like, well, we have
some chili or can make it like a protein shake
or something. I go, yeah, I'll just have that, and
so she made me chili in a protein shake.

Literally was like doing my best just to just to
finish the night on.
Speaker 2 (36:23):

Because at that point I thought like she was just
gonna give me one of the two. She gave me
both and I was like, oh no, now I'm gonna
make sure I eat this too, And everyone seem like disrespectful.
Speaker 4 (36:36):
And by the way, that is the dietary electric chairs?
Speaker 2 (36:38):

a lot of discussion and we're short on time, so

Would you rather stand all day or sit all day?
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Stand?
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Stand?
Speaker 8 (37:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Yeah, damn you got another one.
Speaker 8 (37:23):
Would you rather be stuck in a cage with a
with a with a tiger or in.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
A pool with a great weight Oh no tiger.
Speaker 6 (37:32):
Yeah, I feel like I'm just just no chance with
a great white.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
No.
Speaker 6 (37:35):
They did not like I just I'm not good enough swimmer.
The thing is holding its breath like a tiger. I
could maybe like here, kitty, kitty, kitty.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
By the way, I love when people say if a
shark ever gets close to you, punch it in the nose,
because all of.
Speaker 6 (37:49):
A sudden, everyone's Floyd Mayweather with the natural, especially especially underwater.
